Very Good! Even though I'm of Eastern European descent, this is the first time I've really eaten traditional food. We ordered several dishes. One thing I learned was that this type of food is not overly flavored with seasoning or spices, which makes it much easier to taste the natural ingredients. The beef stroganoff was so good. It made me realize that all the times I've ever eaten it before, it wasn't the traditional recipe. The beef goulash was good too. We also tried the sausage sampler plate which had 3 different styles of sausage with sour kraut....so good. The pierogi appetizers were tasty, and the potato pancakes were some of the best I've eaten. We finished off with trying the 3 different deserts they had and all were delicious. Top all that off with Pilsner!

My mom & dad spend the winters in the Naples area and I go down to visit them for a week every year. This is the one restaurant I make sure to visit. None of the other reviewers mentioned the pork shank (which may only be on the menu on the weekends as a special) but it's a must-order when it's available. The outside is crispy (the way it's supposed to be) and the inside is moist and delicious. I've had several of the other choices, and everything is always excellent.

Had an amazing, authentic meal. Very quaint environment. Service was outstanding. Portions were huge. Overall, amazing meal. Can't wait to go again.

This is a charming little "old world" place with a cute European feel to it. The specials are posted on a chalkboard outside. We ordered both the meat loaf and beef sauerbraten. There is also an extensive print menu with Czech and German offerings. Portions are generous and reasonably priced.Meat loaf was good with a flavor similar to the sausages we have enjoyed in towns along the Danube. It came with delicious mashed potatoes. Sauerbraten was tender and served with fabulous red cabbage and spaetzle. The beef could have used a little more traditional seasoning, and the spaetzle was a little bland. The place was busy and service was prompt. This is a nice change of pace dining experience for something a little different in a town with lots of dining choices.

We ate here last night, right across from the Ritz Carlton. It's a neighborhood spot, not too fancy, but very German/Czech. I had the pot roast in a creamy gravy. Really good with some soft bread (they call it dumplings) to mop up the gravy. My wife had jäger schnitzel and loved it. The wine was good. The best thing was the dessert, blueberry dumplings: cake, sour cream, whipped cream, blueberries in syrup. Total for the two of us with wine and tip, about $90.

This is a must if you enjoy authentic European cuisine! The food, dessert, beer and wine, waitstaff, and ambience are top notch. They are much quicker than in Europe, however I'm sure you can stay for 3-4 hours. Prost!

A local that we met at the airport referred us to this gem! The food was excellent and the service was terrific. They have great german beer on tap. We were with a group of six and we all ordered something different. We tasted a little of everyone's and all the dinners were great. We split 3 desserts between us and I wouldn't want to choose just one when we go back! We had Blueberry muffin with whipped cream & ice cream, apple streudel & strawberry crepes. The restaurant was in a strip mall but it had a cute decor inside. There were outdoor tables. I would highly recommend this place and can't wait until I can go back!!

German and Bohemian specialties - absolutely authentic. My husband would eat here every night if I would let him. Try the cold cucumber soup. This is a family owned restaurant with a personal touch. Great beer, too.

Lovely little, and authentic German and Czech place with very nice service. We sat outside . We highly recommend the cold cucumber soup. Side salad is quite large and lightly dressed. Both of our schnitzels were fine. Polaner and Pilsner Urquell are on tap- very tasty. Wife had a house cab that was very acceptable. Very good value. We will be back.

We've been to Old Europe Bistro every year for the past 4 years. It's become a family tradition. The food is always hot & prepared perfectly. Like my grandmother's from Germany. Love the German beers on tap too. Never disappoints. We were there last night & we'll be back.

My family and I live right down the street from Old Europe Bistro, and we LOVE German food, so we were eager to give this place a shot as it has lots of great online reviews. I wish I could report that it met our expectations, however the food was mediocre. We've been to the Bavarian region of Germany multiple times. The food there is BURSTING with flavor. At Old Europe Bistro, the food was just "blah" (I suspect because it's not cooked by Germans, but we weren't aware of that before visiting). I was also a little disappointed with the beer selection. We visited in October, yet there were no Oktoberfest brews. (They weren't OUT of it--the waitress said hadn't started serving it, yet.) We ended up drinking Spaten, which we can get at just about any beer and wine chain. The restaurant is VERY small--about 10 tables max inside--with a biergarten area outside that is "uber" cool. We were the only patrons during our visit, so the service was good, and the atmosphere is fantastic--cuckoo clocks, German artwork and music ... Unfortunately, these factors weren't enough to draw me back in a second time. Ultimately, for $20-30 per person, I hoped for much more.

Old Europe Bistro is excellent! We had the Eastern European Platter. Every item was delicious especially the Kielbasa & Pierogis. We travel a lot and love German/Bavarian food and this may be the best we've had. The owners are Czech and the restaurant has a European feel, the service is attentive and the price is great considering what they charge in 5th Ave & 3rd St in Naples. Don't miss dessert either. Unique & carefully crafted.

The food was very authentic and delicious, I highly recommend the Czech dish, roast pork medallions, bohemian dumplings and sauerkraut. David (owner) was a gracious host and the service was excellent. He even talked Czech to my Czech mother on the phone which made her day.

Food was excellent went there last Thursday night. Our waiter was very attentive. My only knock is there is only 1 beer on draft, Pilsner Urquell, which is a wonderful Czech pivo, but I was wanting a Paulaner which he did not have on draft.

We discovered this place last year almost by accident and came back this year with our relatives. Despite being in a strip mall, the atmosphere is authentic unpretentious, complete with cuckoo clocks and Central European music. We ordered Wiener Schnitzel, trout, meatloaf, and pork shank (daily special). Soups ordered were cucumber (VERY garlicky), meatball and sauerkraut. All delicious. Save room for desert. The strudel was authentic like (my) grandma used to make and the Palatchinka (crepes) were a nice finish. Service was superb. We added this place to our annual "rotation" of must eats.

Solid dinner if you are looking for a little German, Russian and Ukrainian food. Borscht was good. Very heavy food but standard. Goulash needed a little more flavor and chunks, in my opinion. Service was ok and restaurant was quaint.

Perfectly prepared Wiener schnitzel that was tender and lightly fried in a tasty batter. It was served with a cold potato salad that was flavorful and mildly spiced. I was a bit surprised that it wasn't a more typical German potato dish served hot. The portion was very large; two large, yet very thin pieces of pork. Next time I might spilt the dish with someone or plan to take half home. I also had the garlic soup, which was served in a small covered pot - perhaps to keep the very pungent odor from the noses of other diners while en route to my table from the kitchen. The soup was a hot pot of garlic love. (Though I probably smelled like garlic for 24 hours after the meal!) Service was very friendly and efficient.

Quaint, clean and good service. The prices are a bit high, and the portions are average. We went on a slow Wednesday night, and we were the only ones in the restaurant, so it wasn't bad. Our food came really quick. We all shared what we ordered, so between four dishes, everything was actually really delicious. The desserts were amazing, too, and the presentation was excellent.

Overall, I had a nice experience, but there were some things that could have been improved. My dinner companion is from Switzerland, and did not find his sauerbraten to be the greatest. My meal was excellent, but for the price, the portions seemed rather small. The decor left something to be desired too... We had a large fake plant right up against out table that was not attractive. We skipped dessert, but the other patrons all raved about their choices.

Don't let the shopping center location fool you. Old Europe Bistro serves authentic and delicious German and Czech food. The tomato soup was made that afternoon on site and was extremely flavorful. My sister tried the garlic soup and raved that it was outstanding. Her pork shank fell off the bone, no knife needed. I tried my German staple, Weiner Schnitzel, and was not disappointed. The staff and chef are attentive to customers. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. They also have a quaint Biergarten. Worth a try!

The bistro is again in central European hands. The Russian sold it and the new owner and chef are of Czech background. After two recent visits, I can say that their wiener schnitzel is perfect. The portion is huge. The Pilsner beer is on tap and the place is as cozy as always. Go and try it for yourselves.

My husband and I had a nice meal here, Portions are on the smaller side but the food was yummy. My husband ordered the lamb shank it came with potatoes that were lovely. It was also suppose to come with green beans, but he never got them =(. We sat outside and the atmosphere was nice. I was a little stunned when the server asked us if we needed an ashtray. Lucky for us nobody was smoking, or I would have been a little upset.
