As every spot I called for a NYE dinner was booked, I turned to Yelp to find a place. Lamoraga had availability at a decent hour for four, so I quickly booked it (a month out) for our NYE dinner. This is a very nice place with modern decor and excellent dishes. I think what works against it is the location. It's off the "trendy" blocks but I'm telling you, drive here and park for free to get some good food. As a tapas spot, we shared a medley of dishes: meat croquettes, lamb skewers, garlic shrimp, foie gras, mashed potatoes, tuna tartare, paella, and this graham dessert with vanilla ice cream. Everything was super tasty! If you like tapas check this place out. It was a very reasonable meal for four, celebrating the new year.

Excellent. Went there before a concert, needed a quick dinner as we were running late. The server was accommodating and pleasant, very professional. Sat us at a tall table by the bar, we had the beef carpaccio which was superb, the fried calamari, which were perfectly fried, lightly coated, crispy and fresh, the aioli was like homemade, the cod "croquetas" were good served with the same aioli. We had a glass of a good Albariño. The dessert was superb, a small cheesecake topped with violet ice cream, delicate flavors. The restaurant is beautiful, clean and contemporary design. Can't wait to go back

No Way!! How does this place have 4.5 stars? Went there with a friend last week and shared 3 tapas and sangria and all were horrible and flavorless! While the presentations were very modern and cool, the flavor combinations did not go well together and it seems like the chef forgot to add seasoning to all of our tapas. They were bland and awful. We had goat cheese artichoke hearts, squid ink croquetes, and basil shrimp. Of the three, the basil shrimp was the best but very messy to eat. Sangria has too much fruit in it for my liking.

This is a must while visiting Naples! With their contemporary theme and their delicious Spanish Cuisine I have no problems spending a little extra on great food and service. Ronald my server did an outstanding job helping me understand what certain dishes come with and he was extremely courteous. I really hope to see La Moraga become one of Naples more prestigious restaurants. I will be back with more friends and family! Two Thumbs Up to La Moraga

Wow! Every plate was better than the one before. Fantastic flavors. This is a must do restaurant. The personnel is great, the food is amazing. If you're in Naples you have to indulge and come eat flavors your palette will never forget. Top 10 for sure! I'll be back, again and again.

Since my last review, I have returned on various occasions. The employees and manager have always treated me very well. The food has been consistent along with the service. By far, one of the best tapa restaurants that I have ever eaten at. The quality and presentation is pristine so when in Naples, it is a must try!

What a great place that's away from 5th Ave! Tapas were on point and the entrees were delicious. Service was top notch and really loved the vibe of this place. Definitely one of my top places to go now.

Cheese plate...same deliciousness as I stated in my last review. I might just order this every time I eat here. The Iberian Carpaccio was buttery smooth. There was nothing stringy about it. Short rib, order it. The wine marinade is off the chart. It's tender and perfect and melts in your mouth, with just the right bit of meat chew, if that makes sense. Just order it. The cod was fishy but was taken off the bill so I won't rate on it. Just don't order it unless you like fishy flavors. My dad and I didn't touch it. And the coconut laced bread pudding...the sticky gooey breadiness of the bread pudding was unbelievable. I seriously have never had anything like it in my life. It's the bread from heaven. It is almost the same consistency as the vanilla ice cream but warm. It doesn't even make sense how delicious bread can be. Also, the server, Rob, was adorable. He was so friendly and attentive. There should be more servers like him in the world. He knew the menu and specials like the back of a book. A+++++++ Love this place!

What a rush!......no, seriously we felt rushed through dinner even though it wasn't really crowded. Might be just me, but when I order tapas I would prefer they stagger it a little. Some people prefer things to be quick, so that may not seem like an issue for everyone. As for the food, it was good, but definitely not the best tapas I've had before. Good food, but not great. Lastly, decor and ambiance. It feels really chic and upscale inside. Sort of feels like a posh NY or Chicago restaurant lounge inside. But, it's missing something. It looks cool inside but doesn't really feel cool in there. I would have expected a better atmosphere / ambiance. Maybe some cool lounge music. I would say to go and try it out, it's worth going at least once.

Enjoyed PEI mussels with french fries and a beverage for a $15 lunch. My colleague and I both ordered $3 flan, which was served with a bit of whipped cream, a raspberry and a sprig of mint leaves. The room is bright, modern, and well, quite urban. The real wood tapas bar that gives a vantage on the kitchen is under lit in aqua. Gorgeous.

ONE OF THE BEST lunches I've had in Florida! No kidding. This place is fantastic. My wife & I shared the Slider Combination (one Iberian Pork Slider and one Beef Slider), the Moorish Lamb Skewer, the Langostinos, and Truffle French Fries. We completed the meal with Torrija for dessert, which is bread pudding laced with coconut milk served with vanilla ice cream. Everything was exquisite, perfectly prepared and presented and, by the way, delicious! Location - 5 STARS Service - 5 STARS Food - 5 STARS Ambiance/Decor - 5 STARS Value - 4 1/2 STARS

First off the staff and the environment are some of the best in Naples. It's just got this great modern interior design. We were greeted and checked on numerous times never leaving for anytime wondering when we'd be helped again, but not hovered over. All the staff helped keep the table clear and orderly. Our appetizers of Calamari and goat cheese and Beet salad were amazing. Then my wife and I shares a decently priced Filet with mashed potatoes so fluffy they were like little flavor clouds. Then the filet itself had the perfect sear and flavor. All the ingredients were so fresh and crisp. I don't give many places 5 stars but it's totally worth it. An all around great experience.

Our service was great! Our server was very attentive and came back and checked on us multiple times because there was so many choices and we hadn't made up her mind yet. We came for my birthday and they certainly treated us well. The only complaint I had was that the mixed drinks were not consistent- it must've been a new bartender. Our second drinks tasted like pure liquor and were unbearable to drink. However the carpaccio was delicious, as was the lobster bisque, Truffle french fries! My recommendation is that you get a whole bunch of tapas and share

Well the wine bar was perfect place to begin. Great drinks and fm good intro to the menu with garlic Shrimp. Then to our table for a taste of everything! The squid & cuttlefish were outstanding. Loved the Pesto shrimp & lamb kabobs. The mushroom roll was stellar. Love this place Nd will be back. Ask for Manny to be your waiter.

Kelly our server was so much fun! She gave us some great recommendations and made sure to check in on us periodically. The food was absolutely amazing - my filet was seasoned perfectly and the fluffy mash potatoes were great. My wife ordered the Andalusian shrimp and paired it with the Spinach au gratin and raved about it all. Thrilled we had a chance to stop here and eat to our hearts content before going back home! Definitely make sure to ask for Kelly as she was on point and had a great sense of humor adding unexpected laughs to the end of a long day! A m a z I n g !

Our dinner at Lamoraga was a border line religious experience. Upon entering, I think we were all taken aback a little by both the vast space of the restaurant as well as the modern yet cozy decor. We were seated promptly on our reservation and offered water by our server within seconds. We already knew the 17 things we wanted to shovel in, but figured we'd peruse the menu again to not seem over zealous. Two of us ended up with the white sangria-- yum! (I don't even care that I probably looked a fool trying to fish out pieces of strawberry and apple out of the glass with my chopstick like straws). OK, here comes the food list: tuna tartar (+ mango, avocado, and plantain): perfection. Sizeable chunks of fresh tuna mixed with a perfect medley of mango and avocado. Artisanal cheese plate: 3 cheeses with sides of jelly, walnuts, and an amazing sweet fig (?) dip. Salmon sashimi: the only dish all night that was an inch short of perfection. Nothing wrong with it per se, the quality of the fish was certainly excellent, but perhaps the marinade or sauce it was served in wouldn't be my first choice. (Let's be clear though, not a piece was left when we were finished). Iberian carpaccio: I have a love hate relationship with carpaccio-- love love love the tender thin sliced peaces of heaven. Hate the urge to lick my plate in public. Moorish lamb skewers: Excellent lamb. Only complaint: not enough of it. I'd happily go with less tabbouleh salad and more meat. (ha!) Meat croquettes: Chicken + pork belly + beaf + fried + mayo-ish aioli = love at first bite and perhaps a napkin for my seat. Get two orders of this. Worth it. Spanish omelette: a very pleasant surprise. I have never enjoyed eggs and potatoes quite this much. The potatoes were just a notch better than my Russian mother makes them, so complements to the chef ;) the accompanying salad was a refreshing palate cleanser for the heavier counterpart. Seared foie gras: I am so happy that they brought this out last. Definitely the star dish of the night. Beautifully presented, melt in your mouth and literally drop your jaw to the floor worth every penny delicious. Surprise birthday deserts: molten chocolate cake with lavender ice cream: the cake was fantastic (and thank you so much for being so awesome! it's the attention to little details like this that takes a 5 star experience to a "i will make every effort to come back here as many times as i possibly can"). The lavender ice cream was definitely an interesting take on the classic vanilla. I've never tried anything like it! Now that I have your taste buds thoroughly aroused, lets get back to the service. At several points during our meal we were checked on by our server as well as a young woman who we later learned was the owner (and chef's wife). I wish we had gotten your name, because you were an absolute delight! It's incredibly obvious when someone loves their business and wants to nurture it and make sure it succeeds. It was a pleasure to dine at your establishment and we literally could not stop gushing about the meal for probably a solid two hours after leaving. I have no doubt that we will be back every time we are here in Naples.

Like any new restaurant, it comes with a few initial adjustments. I have mixed feelings about this place, but I have every intention of updating my review in hopes that this restaurant survives in the off-season with the "year-rounders". First off, great location. Visibility is great on 41. However, the contemporary exterior lended itself to be misinterpreted for being a furniture store or a European car dealership. Definitely not a bad thing. I'm hoping that word of mouth for the great food will add to the sexy quality of the grey slate and contemporary font. The interior is gorgeous. Lots of windows=lots of natural light. The kitchen is surrounded by a bar and enclosed in glass. The mixed media of wood, leather, metal all make sense. The use of organic shapes and textures make it very zen and comfortable. Service needs a little tweaking. Our waiter did not seem very knowledgeable about the menu. If he did not know all that the menu offers, I would have liked to see a little more enthusiasm or passion about being at a new establishment. In company of being with co-workers who have not experienced the tapas format, I would have appreciated a run-through of what is offered on the menu. We gave ample opportunity for more dialogue by asking questions such as: Do you have any specials? "No, everything is special." Do you have any recommendations? "No, everything is good on the menu." My guess is that there might have been a communication barrier, perhaps. Needless to say, our waiter was very friendly and courteous. What about the food? Pretty gosh darn amazing. I just have to list out what we had all had shared: Basil wrapped jumbo shrimp in a spicy peanut sauce Calamari (puntillitas) Moorish Lamb Skewers (served with a tabouleh quinoa) Slider combo - beef and marinated pork with varied aioli Iberian Carpaccio with an asian inspired sauce and sesame seeds Salmon Sashimi Tuna Tartar Need I say more? My taste buds were on overdrive. The shrimp rolls were savory and simple, the calamari melted in your mouth like buddahhh, the lamb was so complex and tender, the slider combo was delectable, the carpaccio was the best I've had, the salmon sashimi and tuna tartar were so fresh and bright. Would I come here again? Most definitely. It's nice to see Naples rattled with new and fresh ways to reel in the hipster foodies. Wait. Not sure if there's quite the cult as of yet. I would like to see this place succeed in a predominantly italian or seafood by the water community. Best of luck!

Lamoraga is a breath of culinary fresh air. In a town that I consider a dining wasteland, this menu is not only exciting but accessible for all. The location is beautiful but daring, I support their decision geographically. The staff is friendly - definitely DO NOT overlook!

Incredible. Tops my short list of fav places in Naples. Exceptional creative chef. Every tapas dish was unique and memorable. Great place for a special occasion. i've never had better lobster bisque anywhere. After several visits, the food and service are consistently amazing.

READ THIS FIRST: "Very Impressed". The space is great, it is modern and warm at the same time. The open kitchen is in the middle of the floor wrapped with a massive rough-hewn eating bar, and it is a great sign that the food takes center stage in a social and often communal feeling environment. Sure, they have private tables and banquettes but the space lends itself to people relaxing, interacting and having a very nice time. The service was very good and I lacked for nothing. All of the staff was well trained on the menu and professionally trained for fine dining even thought the feel is casual. I tried many really great bites while there but there are 3 that I want to share right now. The Cherry Gazpacho is incredibly refreshing and tasty. It is has just the right body without being too heavy or too light. It is topped with a touch of parmesan snow and a couple of pistachios. I started with the spoon but ended up just drinking it as it comes in a glass. The Hamachi Carpaccio is reminiscent of a Nobu dish titled "New Style Sashimi", yet different in execution and arguably better with flavors of shoyu, ginger and garlic and has just the right touch of yuzu or acid. I was really impressed with this dish. I also had the Pork Slider (I believe it is Iberico Pork). This was outstanding. Perfectly cooked, loaded with flavor and not dripping in sauce. The only downside to it was, it comes with a small very unmemorable side salad when it is screaming for a small paper cone cup of Mangalista Fries dusted with herbs such as rosemary and thyme. Everything I had, I wanted more of. I will update the review after a few more visits but it is great to have a spot like Lamoraga in what is the mostly drab and conservative Steak and Seafood dining scene of Naples. Flavor, Quality and Execution are all here wrapped up in a sexy package that I like.

Tapas are so fun. This restaurant is great at having all your tapas sent out at different times and spacing out the tapas. The beef slider and asparagus were my favorite. Such nice waiters and waitresses!!

So much flavor! Great addition to the Naples dining scene. Big city vibe. Interesting sight lines. Much more than a traditional tapas menu. Solid wine list with numerous by the glass options. 4 roses to choose from on my visit (!!!) Bring a group and order the entire left side of the menu or bring a date and saddle up to the bar surrounding an active, yet very clean show kitchen. Don't miss the burrata and heirloom salad. Skip dessert and let the foie gras finish the night.

Top not service and amazing cuisine, tapas style, very hip and cool. Didn't understand why this is only one out of Europe but then I heard the owners have a home in Naples, now I get it.

Today it was my second visit at Lamoraga. Really didn't want to go since my first experience was terrible but few friends really wanted to try it. I'm glad I did. Maybe kitchen crew was different tonight. It was yummy. Will go again.

Very nice place and staff. Everyone is very productive. It is very pricey with small portions. Wait staff is great just not my type of food. I had the beef slider and found out havarti cheese isn't for me. My dad had the pork slider. He said it was okay. I got the slice of heaven dessert. Very strong liquor taste due to grand Marnier. My dad got the chocolate lava cake. He thought it was too thick and heavy. But A+ on presentation. It's very aesthetically nice but food was mediocre.

We have been there three times over the course of from when they opened to now, in my opinion, they are getting better albeit very expensive. I had the baked cod which was $34 for a small piece of nicely done fish. The apps were great and the short ribs are way guy beef that just melts in your mouth. The service is excellent and our waitress, Cassie, was upbeat, courteous and a funny lady. Dinner for two with one glass of wine was $150 with tip so it's not for every day. I'll be back, it's worth it.

As I have said many time is that one person that can make a big difference in the success of the business. This time, I would like to say thank you to the server Wycliffe ! He was a young man from Jamaica. He made our experience so much better. I came to Lamoraga and the only seating that was available was outside. It was very cold! Without even asking us, he brought an extra heating lamp and placed it exactly where the wind was coming from. Thus, we ended up having warm breeze. He is brilliant! He is very intuitive as well. He could pick up the energy from each time and was there on the same line to accommodate. The food was delivered on time. He was always there when needed and not there when we needed privacy. He directed us to the bar when it got much colder and continued serving us deserts & coffee there. It was also his suggestion. I am not so much into Tapas and Spanish food, but because of him I will be coming back! As I was enjoying my Apple Martini, I tweeted to my 40,000 followers about what an amazing place Lamoraga was that night! Thank you to the chef, Thank you for the hosting, Thank you of the valet. All was perfect! Ella from Oceanic Blue Retreats

From the service to the ambiance to the food; everything was exceptional!! My fiancé and I were impressed with the flavorful array of dishes and the seafood paella is out of this world. Definitely a great restaurant added to the Naples dining scene and a MUST TRY for those visiting as well!

I tried the red pepper iberico roll, Spanish omlet, beef and pork sliders, and the fig desert. Everything was excellent. The Iberico roll was my favorite though. The server was very friendly and for the most part on point. I have to say the restroom was spotless and to me says a lot about their overall cleanliness. The restaurant is very cool and clean. Will definitely be back to try some other menu items

We're first timers here tonight and what a pleasant surprise. Service was excellent - Donna from Jamaica was a great personality, attentive and very accommodating. Not sure where other customers came up short on requested changes without an up charge but we didn't incur any problems. Now the food - fabulous. Muscles, beet salad with goat cheese, lamb, and Hamachi were all very good. I'll definitely recommend and go back frequently. Hope you have a similar experience.

Totally enjoyed. Vibe is great, clean, modern, handles sound well, love the two bars. I sat at the low pink and white one and had a great view of the cooks. Our drinks were delicious, server fun and attentive. Didn't like the gazpacho- but I'm a snob in that regards. Basil wrapped shrimp was my favorite and the hamachi superb. Tuna rocked! Loved it.

Best in Naples!! If you are looking for a culinary treat this is the place! It all starts with fresh quality ingredients. This is how food should be. Salmon, sliders, salad, steak tartar, mussels are amazing!!! Don't forget to try the sangria!!

I have been to LaMoraga many times since its opening, and I have hosted many friends to delightful meals, including having my wife's birthday party there last May. Tonight was no exception, but it was marred by an aggressive, rude, valet parking attendant. I drive luxury cars that I choose to park myself. I avoided the many parking spots that were marked by cones and reserved for the valets. Yet when I was leaving my car for the restaurant, an attendant boldly approached me to tell me to park elsewhere. I refused, of course, and reported his behavior to the manager. To her credit, she apologized. While the food is good, I suspect that I can find similar offerings at IM Tapas or elsewhere in Naples...without the hassle. It is too bad that the fine work of chefs, waitstaff, and hostesses can be tainted by someone in the parking lot.

A beautiful open restaurant that reminds me of Kate Mantellini in LA. Great tapas, not at all traditional. We had cod fritters, Eggplant Lamoraga, Paella and an enormous ($5) side salad. All amazing. One of the better restaurants in Naples!

  • Helen O.

What a wonderful surprise this delightful restaurant is!! Starting when you walk in the front door-the decor is something I would expect to find in Southern California, New York or Chicago; very crisp, clean and trendy. The food is amazing! Trio of gazpacho was so unique and flavorful. Seared Foie gras left us practically licking the plate. The calamari was cooked to perfection, tender and crispy! Paella was perfectly spiced and loaded with seafood. Sliders were so different and delicious-one was pork wrapped in bacon -what's not to like? And the the finale of a chilled grand marnier soufflé - simply AMAZING!! Have been there now twice for lunch and once for dinner and will absolutely return!! This place is not to be missed!!

Visited Lamoraga last night - and was disappointed. The restaurant is really nice inside and has the feeling of an upscale restaurant in New York, Chicago or Miami. Had a really nice table by the window and after some advise on the menu from our waiter we decided on two Tapas dishes and one Entree to share. My wife and I shared the Russian Salad and the garlic shrimp Tapas - both were really good - definitely Tapas size - and left was wanting more. We were advised by our waiter that the Black Cod entree was enough to share - which we ordered. I asked the waiter if he could switch out the rice that came with the cod for Potato au Gratin which he told us he couldn't do but that he could add the Potato at additional cost. The Cod dish arrived and I thought the waiter had brought us another Tapas dish - the cod portion was tiny - probably no more than 4oz ( @$32 that would be $8 per ounce) and could be eaten in about two man size bites. The dish came with a creamy spinach - no rice and the potato never showed up. With one glass on Sangria and two glass of wine the bill came to $117 - and we left hungry. If you want a great Tapas dining experience and are ever in the Tampa area try Ceviche on W. Azeele St - twice the amount of great tasting and beautifully presented food at half the price of Lamoraga - and you won't leave hungry

Tapas style servings. Beautiful interiors with lots of light. The chefs station is surrounded by glass to watch the preparations. Wait staff is attentive and welcoming. There were no disappointments on the lunch and dinner that I've had so far (same menu). I highly recommend trying the "bread pudding". It's a very different take on a dessert I've come to know as heavy and rich. This is light and spongy. There is so much variety that I can't wait to go back and try more.

A New Star in Naples. they are open only 5 weeks yet this new concept restaurant from europe is right on. Food, service, ambiance. I predict this will be the 'new' go to place come next season. No advertising yet the restaurant was packed last night between 7 and 7:30. four of us tried various tapas (about 15 or more on the left side of the menu). Priced from $8 to $16 (and the $16 was for Foie Gras - seared with a port wine reduction). Ok that would be $25 at least at the Ritz. Our server Doug suggested his favorite -- the roasted red pepper iberico roll. When they brought our order of cuttlefish croquettes we thought they made a mistake and were bringing truffles for dessert. wow. (see photo of 4 items identical that look like dessert truffles) One of the party ordered the melon and serrano ham (under salads). Only $14. This was beautifully constructed and enough for 2 or 3 people. Presentation and taste were top quality. Two of us shared the burrata salad with heirloom tomatoes and a bargain at $12. The burrata alone was worth the price. Even with all the above salads and tapas one member of the group had to have the beef short ribs. It looked like a nice sized order and the person cleaned the plate. Said it was perfect. But when the bill came that entree was $34. Nothing else was more than $16 so I was surprised. I mentioned that would be a good price if the meat were wagyu. Guess what -- it was wagyu. Big difference than 'normal' short ribs. We had sangria - perfectly prepared and then concluded with two different desserts. The warm fig shortbread tart with ice cream and the grand marnier frozen souffle. Conclusion: a great treat especially when this place is brand new. However, Chip, the GM/partner achieved this due to his experience as manager of some of the best restaurants in Naples. you could see it with the wait staff; the cooks, receptionish, and presentations. he put it together. but the concept is from Europe where La Maoraga has six loctions. this is the first in the US. There will be more. we all look forward to their success. Oh parking on premises for 200 cars. And free valet.
