Never eaten in. Always take out. Great pizzas and calzones. A little pricey for the pizzas, but their pizzas and calzones are my favorite in the area so it's worth it.

Though our server didn't have a clue about wine, she did admit that at our first question & I guess we appreciated her honesty. Service was otherwise good, good was good, though it took forever to get the yummy garlic rolls. One issue, our server not knowing about wine was ok, but not fully explaining all the exceptions to the wine special was not ok. We should have been told when we ordered our bottle of wine that it was not included in the special. Instead, we were surprised when the bill came and it took effort for the waitress to get the manager who came by & acted like he was doing us a huge favor by giving us the special price. Don't blame us, blame your server. Anyways, we will probably go back because other visits have been very good.

Great Pizza there are big and they have lots of cheese on them yummy but the bad thing is they do not deliver. Good thing they have some tables outside see you can feel like either in Paris or Rome they say it takes you to pick it up the pizza within 45 minutes but you don't have to wait 45 minutes you can go there after that you make the call otherwise you pick up a cold pizza burrrrr And nobody likes a cool pizza for dinner

3.5 STARS! They are til 10pm so try it out. It's dark and quiet. Looks closed from outside but walk in and get romantic with your better half. The prices are fair. Wine is about $7-$9 a glass. You will start off with garlic rolls of some kind. Lack yeast on the inside so they are lighter which you may like. They are coated with olive oil and Parmesan cheese. They are a great filler. The pasta is probably rarely under cooked and since we went late it was more overcooked, sitting in warm water I'm sure. The sauces are great. The Pasta ala Vodka was light yet filling at the same time. Add chicken to that plate. Their chicken was nearly fresh and was flavorful. The steaks...don't do it. I don't prefer Italian food so I ordered the New York strip which looked like it came frozen precooked. I'll post a picture later but it was no where seared and presentation was minimal. The meat was bland and the texture was somewhat of a cheap Kobe steak. The veggies had great color but those were under seasoned. The service was intimate but I had this feeling our waiter was playing the part, speaking with a fake Italian accent. It was funny. I started paying attention to how he spoke to his coworkers in the background and found indeed he was talking normal and they playing the part when speaking to us. FUNNY! Nice Try! Enjoy

Been coming here for 15 years and have loved this place. We always made it our first stop when in Naples. Recently, we have notice a declining level of customer care. My brother actually got a piece of glass in his salad. When we brought this to the staffs attention, we were told there was no way that the glass came from their kitchen, implying we were lying to them. Furthermore, they did nothing to make it right. Food's pretty good, although there are plenty of good Italian Restaurants in Naples FL. We didn't appreciate the way we're treated, and won't be returning anytime soon. They are not the friendliest group.

Great place for dinner, fettuccine alfredo is one of the best I have ever had.

Great Italian restaurant when looking for a non-seafood alternative in Naples. It's in a Publix shopping complex but when you walk inside, you feel like you're in a nice restaurant. The chicken parm was really good and a nice size portion. Thought initially the side of pasta was small, but it ended up being just enough. Hubby got fettuccine Alfredo and was great. Each came with side salad and great rolls. Would highly recommend. Prices are a bit on the more expensive side. Those two dishes and soft drinks for $42.

I've never had a bartender yell at my mother before for asking for a side of linguini. Seriously? You want to charge HOW much for your bland, shitty, unauthentic, over priced bullshit food? Fuck that whole place. Classy? Just as classy as their rude nasty staff. White trash more like it. Send your entire asshole staff and garbage food back to Jersey Shore. Next time I'm in Naples, I'll be sure to tell everyone I know what a horrible experience I had at this dump. Did I mention the food and service are horrible, yet?

Came for dinner and then lunch, both occasions the food was flawless..Dinner I had the Tortellini alla romana..Really good!! Lunch order the chicken parm hero with a side of fries..Also excellent..Decore is a bit dated for people that care about that..Overall the food was truly on pt and the service was strong..

Complete disappointment. Came here last night and waited 5 min to be seated, never was greeted so I left. Came back today for lunch. First thing, killed a roach crawling on my seat. Second, dirty knife I had to ask to have replaced. Drinks sat unfilled for a good period of time The food wasn't bad, but it all tasted like it was made yesterday, thrown into a freezer overnight and reheated. All with a presentation to match. I ate about 1/4 of the food before stopping and pushing it towards the edge of the table, the waitress was clueless. Never asked how the food tasted. Never asked for feedback midmeal I almost felt like I was eating at a local food cafeteria rather than a fancy Italian restaurant. Won't be coming back.

Reportedly the place to go in Naples for Italian. However, we experienced a rude staff and just ok food. Nothing to write home about for sure.

Great restaurant with very good food. Not cheap but not over priced either.Service is very good. We particularly enjoy being waited on by a waitress named Elaina. Their Eggplant is outstanding and so is their Broccoli Rabe side dish. Salads are crisp and fresh. Bread is very good and sauce excellent for restaurant sauce. We go there often and recommend you do the same.

Five stars with a different waiter for sure. I have to be honest. It took forever to be served. The place is packed on a Saturday night. They are clearly overwhelmed, but they deliver in food quality. The ambience is great with a well dressed and mannered clientele. The waiter was too hurried to do a proper drink order. When my Manhattan arrived, I will say this... it was perfect. Tortelloni Alla Romana with a cheese tortelloni and bacon heavy cream sauce was mouth watering. The lasagna Al Forno was amazing! My Melanze Al Rollate was not crisp as I like my eggplant, but this version was just too perfect in the delivery! The ricotta was so creamy and the marinara. Folks... this is the marinara that is over the top delicious! This sauce may be the best in Naples. I will return over and over. I hate to take a star away. But our waiter.... The four of us agreed. He sucked.

Went to restaurant for daughters graduation. You walk in to darkness. Very dark with dimmed down lights over table. Was sat, that when the front door was opened the light would blind you as most tables in front are affected buy the light. The food over all is good. The sauce was Italian. Tasty. As in an Italian I had no complaints. Servings decent size. Many people love this place. We left full. Skipped dessert. Dinner for two with drinks about $ 100.00.

The atmosphere was excellent, as was the service and seating time. The food was superb! I had the fried mozzerella as my appetizer, it was soo good! Definitely recommend! I also had a personal pizza and a side of pasta. Both were excellent. The only thing I would say is that it was a bit dark, but that isn't enough to knock down a star.

For truly mediocre "traditional" Italian food smothered in watery sauces served in a depressingly dark, gloomy, atmosphere, this is the place to go. A better bet is to head down the road a few more miles to Capriccio's. Evidently, it's run by the same family, but is not nearly as gloomy and has a friendlier more knowledgeable staff.

I love this place the food it's amazing love the pasta dishes! The Stromboli one of the best I have tasted around town the atmosphere it's very nice and it looks like and old Italian house with warm colors and lighting.

I'm from an area which is very Italian. This is a middle of the road resturant. As per other reviews, the garlic rolls, not knots, where very good. Otherwise the food was rather bland, and without much flavor.Service was fairly good and somewhat prompt. Not a place I would quickly put on my must list.

Heavy family deliberation on 3 versus 4 star. Solid meal. The penalty points came from long delay to serve two of the five meals, and and awkward layout whereby ever time the door opens you are flashed with bright light from outdoors in otherwise very dark restaurant. Yellow fin tuna was an excellent choice, and service was solid with fair pricing. Just need to get their timing down, but we will be back..

Great authentic food at reasonable prices. The service was fantastic!! There is a wide variety of menu options and drink options. It is worth a trip for great Italian food.

I must say that I found this restaurant to be delicious. I ordered the veal Parmesan for a late lunch. We had the lunch menu which was not as extensive as the dinner menu. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. He seemed very familiar with the ingredients. Amazing garlic rolls arrived which were hot and addictive. My veal Parmesan arrived bubbly hot. The veal was tender and the sauce and mozzarella cheese tasted imported. The pasta sauce was very tasteful and homemade. I had asked the waiter about the cheese and he said the owner gets the cheese imported from Sicily. My husband had the eggplant rotini. Tender and the ricotta cheese was very favorable. I am excited to return someday and try their pizza.

Great neighborhood restaurant, a hidden gem! Their pizzas never disappoint, the fried calamari is delicious (marinara too!)

Had a great meal at this restaurant. The mussels and calamari over pasta was properly prepared. Al dante noodles and fresh, crisp seafood. Salad and other entrees at the table were great.

Had dinner and drinks last night. This was my third visit. We found the food excellent and the server, Laura, very helpful. Romantic and not rushed at all. One of my must places to go with someone I care to be with!

Average Italian American fare in a strange setting. I'm not from Naples, in fact I'm not even from Florida, so I'm not sure if I just don't understand the appeal here. The interior was far too dark and uncomfortable, and the exterior feels too secluded to be outdoor seating. I understand the desire to block the view of the barking lot, but you don't really feel outside while dining outside. The Garlic Knots were average, tasted premade/frozen though. I had the Penne Bolognese. The noodles were cooked perfectly with still a bit of snap, but the sauce was blah. I love a good veal/beef and even pork bolognese but I prefer the rare, milk based to the usual tomato base that people mistake for ragu. I also insist it has carrots, which this didn't. If you live in the area and there aren't better options check it out, but otherwise it's just another spot.

Depends on what you're having - the pizza and garlic knots are great! I've tried several pasta dishes and they've always been just okay.

What a wonderful and truly Italian meal. The lasagna is the best south of Mulberry St. In Little Italy, NYC. Go early for the wine specials and sit back and enjoy cooking from grandma's kitchen. Red sauce is the best and the pasta melts in your mouth. Special place for lunch of dinner.

The pizza here is probably the best I've had in snooty ol' Naples Fl. I was glad I ordered take out because the place was PACKED. I was greeted by the crabby tan-in-a-can hostess and was pointed towards the back to pick up my order. The food isn't very cheap but as far as I can tell, well worth the price.

Been to many Italian places in Naples and hands down Giovanni's is the best! The homemade pizza is phenomenal, the pasta is insane, and the beer and wine selection is ridiculous.

I'm usually skeptical of non- chain restaraunts in strip malls...was pleasantly surprised here for an inpromptu family reunuin/gathering sunday eve after Sat wedding with folks from all over. Group of 10 was treated nice and all enjoyed their dishes. Wine was per bottle 1/2 price on Sun evening. Good service, right atmosphere, fair prices. Never like when 20% gratiuty is automatically added to bill, otherwise a 5 star place.

I've been going to this restaurant for several years now and the food has been very tasty every time I have been there. In the bar they have a happy hour with drink specials and nicely priced appetizers. it's not a huge place and can be a little crowded, but it's crowded for a reason.

The food is excellent here! Amazing sauce, fresh food. I love the Stromboli, chicken parm and lasagna. Great cosmos as well. If you go in season it will be BUSY! Try getting a reservation on Opentable or you may be waiting for a seat in the bar.

Great Italian food. You can opt to sit inside which is dimly lit and charming or enjoy lunch outside on a nice Naples afternoon. Caprese appetizer with roasted peppers was fantastic!

Kept going, 3 times in hopes it would be good, but each time it wasn't. They really need a Chef that can cook. I ordered chicken Carbonera, and I ordered it extra creamy, it was Dry as a bone. Horrible.

The food has always been good here, I've been here many times over the past few years. Stephanie was our waitress...attentive and kind. The hostess even checked on us, I'm sorry I don't remember her name...long dark curly hair. Everyone was pleasant. The food was quality, the table was clean, the service was efficient. Good "bang for your buck." Thanks!

Pizza is great! If ordering for pick-up, make sure you have them repeat back your order. They are nice people but don't seem to be locked in, and they f'ed up my order. After driving fifteen minutes there, then fifteen minutes home, only to find my order was messed up, I decided that it was my fault for not double checking for mistakes.

  • Pete S.

Frankly, I'm shocked. We ordered takeout. Picked up our order, then discovered a pizza was forgotten when we returned home. When we returned for the pizza we were given the same cold slab that was originally left out from our order. Really, you could not make a fresh pizza? Fail! I will give credit for the food, it was acceptable, except for the cold pizza.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
