Lovely ocean side restaurant seemed like the perfect place for a nice dinner for two couples to enjoy good food and conversation. Food was not very good I've had better at Captain Ds in Ohio, we was seated outside it was perfect with the lovely weather we was having, two men in suits was seated beside us and was immediately asked if they wanted tap water or bottled we was not offered either they just outed us tap water and handed us menus when the men is suits was read the entire menu and offered the special. Obviously we was judged on appearance when we was all looking very swell if you ask me... If you ask me I would not waste your time at this restaurant.

My wife and I had a reservation @8pm. Checked in and went to bar for a drink. 2 bartenders were on top of their game and very pleasant. Drinks were good. Ordered fried calamari for app. In hindsight would have skipped it. Nothing special and needed salt or some kind of kick via peppers, etc. Also ordered a rainbow roll that was amazing. The main courses were tuna and pan seared scallops. Scallops were very good (5 sea) but needed a little salt to bring out more flavor. Note there was no salt shaker on the table. Tuna was thick (3 inches) but cooked right. Seating was very nice at the waters edge. Noise level was low and servers(2) were attentive and prompt with bread, drinks and food. We would return.

Tried to go there for their heavily advertised (on a sign by the fountains as well as Venetian's website) specials. They had no idea about the new special. Also, they had no sushi because bartender said they only serve sushi when they have it fresh but then the manager said the sushi chef called in sick. To quote my friend "the whole thing was fishy". We decided to enjoy happy hour elsewhere.

My husband & I are in town visiting my parents and we decided to head to the Village on Venetian Bay to eat dinner outside. We had originally decided to go to the Village Pub, but we looked at the menu at Fish and changed our minds. We're really glad we did because Fish was fantastic all around -- great service, great atmosphere & amazing food! It is definitely on the pricier side, but all 4 of us thought it was worth the money. Between the 4 of us, we ate: tuna tartare appetizer, lobster mac & cheese side, scallop entree, snow crab legs entree, grouper entree, and filet mignon entree. Everything was ridiculously good! I personally had the filet, which was cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes that came with it were so creamy & delicious! We'll definitely be back to Fish for more special occasions in the future!!

Recommended by a few locals here, we decided to have lunch. It's one of a few restaurants on the water. The location is perfect. On the water. Ample seating outside along the railing. Very relaxing. In addition to the regular lunch menu, there was an insert for the $12.95 lunch specials. Well worth the price for what you get. (This menu and other pix are posted) I ordered the battered mixed fish fried with whipped Tartar sauce and kale cole slaw. They Fish and Chips was a generous portion. I opted for the French fries for an additional $2 instead of the potato chips. Also had a bowl of the tomato basil soup. My wife ordered the BLT Grouper from the lunch menu and opted for a small salad instead of the brioche bun and potato chips. A friend ordered the spicy Tempura fish roll, seaweed salad, chili sesame vinaigrette and a tomato salad. We all enjoyed what we had..service was attentive, waiter was helpful with choices to be made. You won't be disappointed and the special menu was well worth it.

A fantastic experience. We asked for an outside table that overlooked the water where green lamps illuminate night-feeding fish at residential docks across the bay. The December breezes were bold, but an adjacent gas heater gave enough interference so that my leather jacket was enough to keep me very comfortable. We made a dinner reservation on Open Table, and were immediately seated and attended to by three separate waitstaff during the evening. We never had a moment when we felt neglected or ill-advised. We shared mussels peeping from a delicious broth that was practically calling to be sopped by the focaccia and warm breads in the basket at the middle of the table. My friend had grouper, and I enjoyed the Dragon roll. The eel was glazed perfectly. Sure beats trying to catch my own fish. I will return.

Dude, not a winner. The wait staff were mean and patronizing, They got my order wrong, but I didn't say anything because I KNEW that my food would be spit in if I sent anything back. I know that being a waiter/waitress can be taxing, especially in a tourist destination, but the way we were treated was such a huge bummer while we were vacationing ! And, to boot... MY MAN GOT FOOD POISONING !!!!!! He was sick for the rest of our vacation. The Oysters Rockefeller that he ate at Fish is the ONLY thing that we didn't all eat. So, we can only assume that he got sick from their food. I don't recommend Fish.

Half way decent food but very slow service. We were a party of four and they brought the lunch for one of us first and the rest of the food came 15 min later. I ordered the soft shell crab BLT. Not very tasty and over-breaded. However, homemade chips were delicious.

Good food (not great), ok service (personable servers, obnoxious host), fantastic views...day boat scallops were very good, roasted cauliflower, not so much...buccatini with lobster was good, but shells should have been cracked...dinner for two close to $200 w drinks and tip....hmmmm

I have been coming to naples for 4 years and discover Fish restaurant at the Venetian Village it was the best service I ever had, the food was amazing. We order for appetizer the crab cake, the ceviche mixto, fresh oyster on shell, and for main course the branzino, grill grouper and the Paella... If you are into see food fish restaurant is the place to dine. I will go back and recomended to any one is the best sea food. And don't forget the homemade desert. Try it!!!!

Nice place we liked everything what we ordered !!! We were party of 9people and we were seated right away !!! The tuna tartare appetizer was out of this world . Our server was very nice Bulgarian guy Don't remember his name , he took a very good care of us !!! Thank u

Was really bad. We ordered the Sea food 2 tier. the oysters were ok and shrimp was good. The ceviche was mediocre. The real issue was the clams. My wife noticed a fishy smell I did as wel. We called our waiter over he told is they were supposed to smell that way. I tried one and spit it out tasted slimy and gross. A quick google search revealed clams are NOT supposed to smell or be slimy. We didnt eat them and the waiter did not say anything. The sushi for two was ok but not worth the $58.00. The wait staff there was an issue. One waiter was Great waiter unfortunately he wasn't ours. He noticed us looking for someone to bring water and finally after our waiter passed us twice and the bus girl 4 times he filled up our glasses. It was almost comical each time she passed was she going to fill it up or not. The location is great and the views, but with this service and food.... There are a lot better choices for sushi and oyster in naples.

Bartender and servers friendly. Food was mediocre and a bit pricey but not bad for area. . Crab cakes were different and just ok.. calamari app was good.. better places in the area. . Local heers on tap

Food was really good. Service was completely condescending right down to the bread girl. Great spot for water front dinning. Its a shame that the staff is not more inviting. Real great seafood choices and interesting wines. Happy hour is very limited to just food not booze. I believe if they were more receptive, they would get 5 stars every time.

Well, what can i say, waste of money. The only good thing abt it is that it's on the water, it has a nice view, the restaurant itself is clean and neat and nice colors inside, servers nice dressed.. but that's all the good things abt it. Food is acceptable but way too expensive . Poor in presentation and lack of comunication between server and customer.. or maybe i had a bad server.. I had the scallops.. which can only be served with cauliflower.. Scallops are good everywhere so nothing special abt them here in this place. You cannot substitute ur sides for anything else, you can only pay extra for ur desired sides.. so i got the Parmesan truffle fries, which sounds so exotic abd fancy, and all i got was a plate with dry ugly fries and some parmesan here and there.. The second plate we had on the table qas the redfish.. Horible, starting with the presentation and finishing with the taste.. It was extremely spicy and impossible to taste the flavor of the fish.. and i spent 27 or 28$ on this ate only to taste the redfish, which i couldnt. That's the server's job to let you know that this is a spicy dish. It had some dry coleslaw, which just didnt look good on the plate. Just to sumarize, i convinced myself that this place is good only for it's location. If you wanna spend money in a good restaurant, go to one with French cuisine, at least you won't be sorry for spending.. I can't say other seafood places are bad.. Just don't let yourself fooled by the name or the location, it's really not worth it. If you wanna eat on the water, look carefully on internet and find something maybe not that good looking ( like Joe's crabshack, or Kelly's Fish in Tin City ) , at least you won't spend tons of money on smth you get dissapointed in.

It's too bad some reviews are so low for this place. I'm sure there are some 'growing pains' involved since they've opened up. I've been here a number of times and have always enjoyed my meal. Having lived in California for over two decades, I've been trying to find a good sushi place in Naples for the past year. This place is the best so far. So fresh and yummy! For lunch, I generally get the soft shell crab sandwich. Great deal. The mussels are pretty awesome too!

Not sure where the less than stellar reviews come from but I'm one satisfied patron of FISH. I left M Waterfront Grille (see my review there), to dine at FISH. Francisco accommodated our last minute change, sat us at the table of choice and the wait staff was very prompt. My wife and I have been here on a few occasions and have never been disappointed. Food is cooked as requested and the variety should satisfy most foodies. I'm a "simply cooked" eater and don't indulge in fried foods or use of oils and salts so I'll leave you to the evaluation of these types of selections. Ask for Matteo to be your service and you'll leave a happy customer.

Second time we tried this restaurant. We wanted to like it since it's in the neighborhood, but the food was not good either time. My husband had the beet salad (tasteless) and grilled octopus (terrible, he said). I had the sushi, which was decent. Then the fish was interesting - a decent piece of grouper, but covered in a strange herb rub and sitting in a puddle of tomato sauce with 4 asparagus. Not terrible, but not at all worth repeating. The setting was nice, but the service was slow - it took a long time to get our main course. And it wasn't cheap. Third time will definitely NOT be the charm.

I really enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the water. It was a beautiful view. We had three appetizers for the four of us. The first was calimari which was excellent, then tuna tartar which was also great. The last oysters Rockefeller was not so good, it seemed to have melted cheese on top instead of the true Rockefeller sauce. Pass on the tomato salad, not very good, but the seafood chowder was great. The red snapper was a little dry, should have had a sauce. My kids loved the fried seafood platter and the seafood in the wine sauce. Tiramasu dessert was excellent.

Would love to find a great place to go back to when visiting Naples but this is NOT it. Came here over the holidays for a ladies dinner since our condo is within walking distance of the Venetian Village. We sat outside and the atmosphere was nice but that was about it. Our waiter was pushy on drinks and what to order. He talked my mom out of ordering chicken since the place is called FISH after all, but that was a mistake. We all got fish and none of it was great. Mine dish was way too salty and the others lacked in flavor. Bottom line, don't waste your money here on seafood. There are a lot better options out there!

Friendly and well-meaning staff. Nice location . Fries were good. Oysters had bad smell off them - unacceptable. Sent them back. Fish and chips were fine. Lobster rolls were ok , too much mayo and the lobster pieces were cut a little too small for my taste.

We had reservations for 6:30pm last Saturday. We arrived a bit early but were seated right away. We were seated next to a serving station and asked to move to a better location. We moved two tables away. No one came to our table for at least twenty minutes. We then corralled a waiter and tried to order drinks. He took our order but never returned. At the first table we had ordered water which came out fairly quickly. Then we asked the bread girl where our waiter was but she either did not speak English or did not care. Other diners who arrived after us had received drinks and their first course and no one had come near our table. After waiting about 45 minutes for drinks, we got up to leave. A member of our group wanted to pay for the bottled water before we left (not me) and he told the manager why we were leaving. This very surly, unapologetic young man told us we had to wait because we changed tables! I told him it was entirely inappropriate and that it was no way to run a restaurant that was half filled at best.. So I have no idea what the food tasted like and I am not going to find out because I will never go back there. We walked next door to the M Waterfront Grille and were seated without reservations right away ( restaurant was crowded). A waitperson was at our table in a minute taking our drink order. We had our drinks within 4 minutes. Our courses were also delivered in timely fashion. Fish should send their people there to learn how to treat customers. Since I have to use a star to rate this place, I will give it one star for the view. It really doesn't deserve that.

The bartender was annoyed with us because we sat at a hightop table that she couldn't see from her bar and gave us a 5 minute explanation why she was annoyed with the hostess that had nothing to do with her table. She can't make mojitos either. Awkward situation and did not feel welcomed.

Ambience is fantastic - beautiful views and great location. Hostess was curt. Told us it would be a 25 minute wait. I said "even with our reservation?" She said "Yes for outside". I said we didn't need to be outside, that our reservation didn't specify that so we were seated right away in the dining room. Beautiful! Server was attentive but not overbearing. Allowed us to taste wine before ordering a bottle. Nice wine selection and menu options. Grilled Oysters are FANTASTIC! Garden salad was fresh and crispy. The main courses left something to be desired. I had the snapper - it was poorly cut and looked sloppy. I had literally 1 piece of leek that was the size of my thumb. The fish was okay but the butternut squash was not seasoned at all. Blah. My husband had the Triple Tail - beautiful piece of fish but over cooked. Overall, a decent meal. I would come back for drinks and appetizers but not dinner.

A party of 4 in mid-January, before the busy season, we were seated after a 30 minute wait. Unfortunately, once seated we waited for 45 additional minutes without service. We attempted to find the manager and flagged down several servers who informed us they could not help because we were not seated in their section. Thus we left.

Ambiance wonderful, service poor, 15 minutes for a drink order, salad had way too much vinegar, calamari was good. We only noticed one other table so they were not packed.

Fantastic setting! Dining al fresco over the water... that's what Naples is all about! Love it. All the seafood is really fresh, amazing sushi, and something for everyone (if someone in the party doesn't want seafood they have some good pork chops, steak, etc.). Great evening. I went a different time for their happy hour -- worth it! 3-6pm everyday for half off select appetizers and drinks.

confrontation. I was SO upset when we left ( he was still spouting his "conservative" position). I felt like throwing up. Sadly I will never go back there again as it was so inappropriate of him to harass me with his beliefs. I feel it was because I was a female he felt free to do this. Totally inappropriate to do to a customer no matter what your political position. I was shocked and sickened by his blind partisanship especially when I clearly and immediately let him know my views so he would STOP his rant.

I am going to start by saying we did not eat here BUT planned to! Just read reviews and glad we did not...basically same poor sentiment about poor service and attitude. Stopped by with four during early afternoon on Sat. and the place was empty. Decor and location seemed interesting but when we wanted to sit outside in the sun around a seating area, we were told it was not available! What?? Only two occupied two-top tables in the place and you turn away four people? Spoke to bartender who was accommodating and had to virtually beg the guy in charge for us to sit there but were told we had to wait....sayonara....many other places that welcome my money!

  • Bill G.

This restaurant came highly recommended and did not come close. First off, we were told that the sushi menu items were not available. There were signs everywhere and an insert in the menu that this was the best sushi in Naples. The Linguini with tuna was good, but certainly not great. The tuna that was supposed to be seared was so over cooked one could not tell what kind of fish it actually was. The carb cakes were above average. The ceasar salad was below average. All in all, very average place.

    (3)
  • Dan N.

Great ambiance and good service... Sushi was good with the chef willing to explore options. As far as sushi goes, a great option in the Naples area..

  • Lauren H.

This place was horrible. We weren't seated for 20 minutes after our reservation time then did not see our waiter for another 20 minutes. We then found out they were out of 2 of their premier items...it was only 7:30 on a Tuesday. The food was subpar at best and my mom's sushi was inedible. Overated and of course because it's Naples, overpriced.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We waited over an hour and a half for our meal. After an hour we asked to speak to the manager who was indifferent. He said "give me 5 minutes". He never came back and we had to wait an additional 25 minutes. Needless to say once we received our meal it was mediocre at best. The manager never came back over to see how we were or even apologize for the wait. On top of that, when we asked to speak to the owner, he was incredibly rude as we explained our poor experience. He was very condescending and apologized sarcastically. Interestingly enough, the other 4 tables around us had the same terrible experience and also complained. I would NOT recommend this place. Not only was the service slow, and the food was bad, but the owner and manager could not have been more arrogant or rude.

To bad I cannot leave a 0! Atmosphere, dinning room, bar, kitchen and menu present very well, BUT IT ENDS THERE! Staff is friendly and helpfull but glacier slow. Ordered clam chowder and got large $10 bowl of leeks and cream. Maybe 15 noticable clams pieces in whole bowl. After that I ordered the tuna and cauliflower. Menu says tuna served rare, I asked extra rare. I got medium to medium well. The tuna its self had nice rounded edges like it had just been released from the vacuum pack it was in when they probably purchased it at Costco. It was stale and obviously previously frozen. The menu defined a flavorful glaze for the sauteed cauliflower. I got over boiled, mushy cauliflower w some charred edges and complete lack of flaver. NONE of the food had basic seasoning and required salt and pepper! Save your money drive to lowe's and get a hot dog at the hot dog stand you will be much more satisfied

Great ambiance on the water is the only good thing I can say. Overpriced. Scallops were below average and other dishes had little to offer. Would never go back.

Monday afternoon, party of 6 adults and two high chairs. The place was open but 95% empty. The hostess said a table would be no problem, to return in a few minutes and they'd set the table. We wandered around the corner and back, and when I arrived first back to the hostess, she didn't greet me, instead when walked back to the table they were setting and clearly said "guess who's back?" to the server who was setting the table. He visibly said "oh f--k" looking at her, showing his disgust on his face. I couldn't hear him but it was obvious from his face and demeanor what he said. We turned around and left. The hostess tried to get us back in, but when confronted with exactly what she and he said, she decided to stop denying it and rather apologize. We took our $350+ check to another restaurant that appreciated us. I can't comment on the food as we never ordered any. It looks clean and has a large outdoor seating area. Good luck.

Went last night with my daughter and asked to eat outside. She said there were no tables but I saw at least 10 empty ones that did not fill up during our meal inside. We were pretty much ignored for 15 minutes. No one wanted to claim our table-two women...not a big check? Not a big tip? I don't know. . There was plenty of waitstaff especially for the large party that arrived shortly after us. The bus boy did his job and gave us water and bread but after that-nothing-zero zip. The manager came over and asked us if anyone had taken out order. So we gave him our drink order and then waited again until I flagged a waiter to take out dinner order. The artichoke salad was delicious. I got the seafood tower that was ok-the ceviche snapper was really nice. Really disappointed in my daughter's order of scallops. Done on the outside-rubbery and dry. Scallops are hard to get right but at these prices, it should be spot on. Not going back.

I was not impressed with this restaurant. We went here on a recommendation from my aunt, must've been on a good day, considering the reviews and our experience. The wait staff was fighting with each other the entire time, I ordered a diet coke and they brought me coke. My husband and I both had the whole lobster, it was decent. I also ordered potatoes as my side and they brought me asparagus. Wasn't what we expected.

Delightful! We took our friends there for dinner last night. The waiter was a tad cold, but we aren't looking for new friends. We had the trio ceviche, some sushi, triple tail, blackened red fish, scallops, and snapper. There wasn't a bad dish in the group. Every thing tasted great, was fresh and delicious. The manager was very involved in seating, going to tables asking how things were and if we needed anything. The owner was at the podium at the end of our dinner thanking us and asking how everything was. We all had a lovely night with great food, a wonderful view and would love to go back. Our friends, who live in Naples, were planning their return visit during dinner!

As I'm allergic to seafood I tried the walleye. It was dry & flavorless, why have something on a menu that you can't prepare well. My husband liked the branzino however, and on a previous visit I had a hanger steak that was pretty good. It has a beautiful location on Venetian bay, but there are far better restaurants to eat at.

  • Linda L.

Great view but not at all impressed with the food. With so many wonderful seafood restaurants in the Naples this would not be my next pick. Red snapper was very dry and my husband had to send his back because it was served cold. They have an early bird special that does not sound bad if you want to enjoy the beautiful setting otherwise not worth the money with so many great local choices.

There were six of us and a reservation on the weekend. It was excellent. I have heard and read other reviews about poor service and food quality. I noticed that those occured on weekdays and not weekends. that's a problem for top notch restaurants which I believe FISH is. I am positive the owner/manager is aware of these inconsistencies. Try it again on the weekend and see if there is a difference. If there is tell the owner. Restauranteurs like to hear from customers whether good or bad. Hope you get the same 4 star experience that we did. H P B

With a capital eeF eI Sss acH... that is what it is all about. Tasty, tasty, FISH. Pricey, swanky, beautiful and delicious, FISH. And totally worth it... I am usually the kinda girl that really likes a divey, dark and more scandalous environment, really I just can't stand places that are all about the hype. Potentially "Emperors New Clothes" FISH with it's glitzy space could have been all hype. Ohhh but it's not, this place is worth rubbing elbows with Naples whoo's who that just want to be seen at the newest place in town. Located in an upscale strip mall, this place was probably an Ann Taylor a few weeks ago, now it's a place I would gladly rob banks to frequent. From the grilled octopus appetizer to the incredibly fresh grouper & snapper, the entrees we had showcased the FISH. The freshness, the taste, the awesomness of FISH. There were items on the menu that appeared to be about the the preparation, like the bacon encrusted Walleye, but the majority were simple amazing dishes. Oh and they have sushi / sashimi too. Water views were fantastic, the space is very well done for being in a mall. The bar has outdoor seating in the walkway of the mall, the "hot" kitchen is an a "suite" across from the restaurant with floor to ceiling glass so you can see what is going on, and there is a "cold" room behind glass that the FISH is prepared in. Sounds a bit strange as I write this but it is really well executed. Service was extrodinary. Well done chaps.

We go to Fish quite often, love happy hour, however we were here for New Years Eve. As we are regulars the owner found us a nice seat outside, a little cool, but the heater helped. Had the Bronzino, excellent. Oysters were good as always.

My boyfriend and I took my parents and we enjoyed the experience. I was really impressed with the level of service. They seem to take on a team approach at FISH, which was appreciated. The food was quite tasty and their menu is different and inventive. The atmosphere is clean, upscale and comfortable. I have one complaint, and that was that my boyfriend ordered the steak, RARE (which was $42.00) and it was delivered close to well done. I wish our server wrote down the order instead of placing the order from memory as this could have been avoided. We had many apologies from the staff, which was appreciated, and we understand mistakes happen. A round a drinks would have been a nice gesture, as we had to wait quite a while to eat all together. But, all in all, I would go back.

A visually attractive restaurant with adequate food. Unlike other reviewers, our service was very attentive. My only complaint was that the restaurant was FREEZING. It was a cool day by Naples standards, in the mid 60s. We opted to sit inside due to the temperature. It didn't make a difference. The doors of the restaurant were wide open and the cool temperatures made dining very uncomfortable. We'll try it again when it's warmer.

We had lunch here yesturday. I wanted to sit by the water and we had been here before, but it had a different name. The venue is lovely, facing a back bay. The decor is light and airy. The hostess was welcoming. We sat outside. Servers were prompt and thorough. I had trout and it was the biggest trout I ever ate. It was done with mushrooms, almonds and smoked bacon in a brown butter. Excellent! My husband had fish and chips. He was pleased with the house made, herbed, not salty chips and his red cabage slaw. The fish was perfect and light enough not to make him feel guilty. The restrooms are in another building, oddly. Not far. It is season in south Florida so parking was tight in the general parking area.

Terrible service. We waited 45 minutes for our appetizer and an hour for the two salads we ordered for lunch. The waiter couldn't be bothered to offer us bread (I asked for it after 30 minutes) or refill our water glasses. When I asked for a refill of my ice tea which had been empty for 45 minutes he said they were all out. Didn't offer anything in lieu of ice tea. After we left the restaurant disappointed I mentioned to the host the we had a bad service experience. He simple shrugged his shoulders. Please don't waste your time and money at this place. Simply put it was awful.

I never write yelp reviews but felt I needed to for my terrible experience at FISH. My boyfriend, mother, brother and his brand new fiance all came here for dinner last weekend because my mother had been here before and said the oysters were great. We ordered a dozen of blue points and were immediately put off by their appearance. It looked as though who ever shucked the oysters did a terrible job and jabbed right into the meat. They were also oddly dry. We called the waiter over to complain and he brought over the manager who told us that was just how the oysters are this season. I had blue points a few weeks earlier and they were not like that at all. We stupidly all tried one or two. The restaurant even brought out ANOTHER dozen on the house which we didn't touch, they looked exactly the same. Needless to say, all 5 of us got incredibly sick at the same time with the worst food poisoning we've ever experienced. It took several days for us to feel normal again. DO NOT EAT THE OYSTERS IF THEY LOOK ODD. It's one thing to serve bad oysters, but it's another to make excuses for them and then serve us more. I also had the potato encrusted seabass which was way over cooked and lacked salt...

Six of us went to dinner tonight at Fish Restaurant. We waited 15 minutes to be seated for our 7:30 PM reservation. We each only ordered a main course. We did not get our meals until 9 PM. The food was relatively mediocre with very little flavor. I ordered tuna rare and it cam medium well. The customer service and attention to detail was quite poor. I would never go back.

We all enjoyed our appetizers and entrees. The key lime mousse was disappointing. Our server could use some coaching on his customer interaction skills.

Upon walking into this restaurant you would get the impression that it is a very good place. It is located in a very upper scale mall and right on the water too! Has a beautiful view! However, when the food arrived...we realized appearances can be deceiving. My husband had the trout dish which was overly salty and had a lot of bones still in it! For $27, it should have tasted better and been boneless. There was not even any warning on the menu about bones being in the fish. He spent so much time picking out bones that he did not really get to enjoy it. I had a beet salad and a side of mashed potatoes and asparagus... way overpriced for what I received! Also the mashed potatoes and asparagus were very salty and I had trouble finishing. Overall I would not recommend this place unless you like salty food and bones in your fish. I would stick to a simple cocktail or glass of wine on the patio by the water.

Tonight was my second time to FISH restaurant. My first time dining there was in early February 2014 and the food was very very good; the scallops, the truffle fries, and the sushi roll and the service was excellent. It was perhaps one of the best meals I had had in ages. However since then, my mother has returned for dinner here in March 2014 and said the food was not as good; her scallops were not properly cooked and the food didn't taste as good. I decided to try FISH again with a friend tonight while I am visiting Naples again (end of March 2014). The service was terrible tonight, the food was less than good (fries were tasteless, scallops were tasteless, and my friend ordered the fish & chips and it was mostly batter & she said tasteless). We both don't drink alcohol & so my friend asked the waiter what non alcoholic drinks he could suggest.....he had no suggestions for us....wow....lost revenue opportunity! We ended up ordering just tap water. Wondering if the restaurant is under new management or has a new chef b/c the food & service were much worse since my mid February 2014 dining experience. I won't return.

Nice place great scenery interesting layout, perfect breeze. Menu looks great. A few of us tried several appetizers and a couple entrees. The octopus was cooked perfect but bland. In fact I think it was slightly off as it had touch of tasting "old". This was not a case of poor execution; it was muted and bland components. Simple solution is using olive oil and a nice smoked paprika that the flavor hasn't been cooked out of yet. This was also the case with the cuttlefish and the scallop ceviche. Cuttlefish was very nicely cooked but lacked even a requisite amount of salt or seasoning. It was served on a bed of arugula that lacked acid and the flavor came off as oil and the bitter of the arugula. This dish screamed for a bit of shaved red onion if not acid too, at a minimum. The presentation was a well oiled mound of arugula in the center partially covering the 2 small cuttlefish on each side (think Sigmund the Sea Monster, Google the picture if necessary, loved that show, come 'on, I was like 5, they lived in a shack on the beach, it was awesome, I digress). The cuttlefish left whole, instead of sliced in half long ways, makes plating difficult and appear sophomoric and bland. As for the scallops in the ceviche they were nice quality but aside from the capers on top, the ceviche had no flavor. Traditional Ceviche Components 101: Protein, Salt, Acid, Chili. With that in mind you can construct or deconstruct what you want for flavor from there. The only thing FISH had was the protein, we added our own lime from our drinks and a pinch of salt from the shaker, POOF!, 100% better. What became of the acid of the pickled capers you ask? Best bet is the kitchen strained off the precious pickling juice and just added the capers. Point is, that dish along with the others lacked any seasoning and sprung the term "hospital food" to describe everything eaten to that point. Again, the "doneness" of the cooked ingredients was spot on and the ingredients were very nice but that was as good is it got. Upon tasting the lobster roll is where my opinion of the food, takes a turn for the worse. Taken a-back by the first bite, I had to be talked into taking a few more, to be fair, and to be entirely sure of what I was tasting. A cold rice, pre-prepared maki roll with a warm, quite dry, flavorless lobster fluff on top. A tragedy from the ground up and a dish not designed for easy eating. It was sushi (maki) you had to cut with fork and knife to fit in your mouth and with that all the lobster fluff fell off and floated away like so many tiny Styrofoam balls. Unfortunately, before that you had tried to down a piece with the chopsticks provided and you realized mid-act that you look anything but graceful and then went with Plan B, the fork and knife. To be sure, the most unfortunate maki roll I have ever had, really. I'm going to stop there on food. But to be fair I will likely try it again in a few months. As for service, they were less than 50% capacity but service had issues/confusion with all that tables around us, some more than once. The issue we had was a bit of a wait for most dishes and a very inappropriate wait for dish that was actually a cold dish. Service was courteous and attentive and seats were comfortable, but I was there for the food and I was hoping it would be there for me. Let's hope it was an off night. Out of 10, FOOD 5, Location/Décor 8, Service 6.5.
