Great atmosphere, food, and service. Chops was recommended to us by friends that visit Naples frequently. When my fiance and I visited for a long weekend, this is the first place we checked out. Everything from the appetizers to the wine is yummy here. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Naples.

What a great surprise. NYC quality and presentation restaurant while on vacation. The waiters know their stuff and can make suggestions. Great ambience and crowd. I really enjoyed my prime rib medium rear and it was actually served medium rear! Great choice of wines and spirits too! I will definitely go again when in Naples.

Oh please...give me a break. This place needs an attitude and portion size adjustment. I ordered a sushi roll appetizer and it was seriously the size of my pinkie finger. Overpriced and quality of food was not there.

My favorite restaurant in Naples, and a really good steakhouse in general. I've been here dozens of times over the years and have never been let down. I usually go for the NY Strip (medium rare), but the filet is also really good. Get the truffle fries or the loaded mashed potatoes (SO GOOD!) Definitely consider getting reservations, unless you like waiting a long time and/or eating at 9pm.

Regardless of whether I order a T-bone or a porterhouse there should be meat on both sides of the bone. The chef tried to claim that T-bones lack meat on the fillet side. While I expect to receive a smaller tenderloin piece in a T-bone versus a porterhouse, I was disappointed to receive such a one-sided steak for $52 - the most expensive one on the menu. Moving on, the rest of the dinner was delicious, including the one sided T-bone, a fillet and a strip. The highlight was probably the creamed spinach with crispy onions but the marinated mushrooms, salads and meats were also fabulous. The meat was cooked perfectly. Service was extremely attentive but at times a bit pushy. I'd recommend the restaurant but not the T-bone and find it disappointing that a steakhouse would try to pawn this over its clientele.

Chops is a very warm and friendly place. That's key if you're dropping a lot of dineros (or if your boyfriend is dropping the dineros, as in my case ;). Chops deserves the accolades it's getting on Yelp. Most of my experiences over the past 5 years have been as a passenger at the bar. They have a respectable wine list and I've always been able to find a suitable libation to match my mood. Special recognition goes to Bob whose professionalism in tending to his customers at the bar should be the model and standard, not the exception. Ask for him; he knows his stuff.

The food and service is excellent. Both my husband and I have never had a bad meal here. We did have one incident recently that was a bit surprising. We always make reservations but this one particular night at 4:50pm we walked in off the street and didn't have a reservation. We were told that we could be seated outside cause they didn't have any availability inside. I stated that we eat there often. We were told they were booked and couldn't accommodate us inside. They proceeded to show us a computer screen that didn't tell us very much. We said thank you and left. My husband found it hard to believe that at 4:50pm they had every table accounted for already and no one was even there yet. He went outside and called the restaurant from his cell phone and was told they did have availablity for us. Go figure! At which point I was not going to go back into the restaurant that night. I guess they feel if you walk in off the street without a reservation they don't want you seated inside??????

Absolutely great! Pork chop cooked perfectly ...grouper with wild rice mushroom risotto incredible with a bit of hot pepper! Appetizers even better -very delicate calamari and way well presented tuna tataki ... Cosmo to start was balanced and correct ... Nice evening!

Excellent service, rather pricey (although certainly worth it), and great food. I never have high expectations whenever I go to restaurants that are known for steak or seafood, as I am a vegetarian, but the "fresh vegetables" entree was delicious. It consisted of a variety of the side dishes, rather than large, tasteless pieces of veggies that usually make up vegetarian-oriented menu items. For desert, I shared a piece of the cheesecake with someone in my party. The portion we were given was very large for it being such a rich food. The cheesecake was one of the best I have had, but I do recommend sharing a piece with someone- the pieces are too large to finish more than half of, and they cost $9.50 each. Espresso was also very good. We will definitely be back!

I will NEVER go back to this location. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Several things make me say I would NOT go here. I've eaten at some of the best steakhouses in America and Chicago, and this place is far down the list. 1) Food: The chef may have a heavy hand in flavoring the food. The most expensive steak on the menu (dry aged ribeye $62) was so SALTY I could barely eat it. My wife ordered the Sea Bass and it was so SWEET you would think it had a lot of sugar in it. I've only been in FL a couple months, but you can go to Prime De Leon in Ft. Myers and get one of the best Rib Eyes for around $30....half the price. 2) Service: horrible. We sat outside, it was about 65 degrees, a bit of wind and they had the heaters on. My wife was a little chilly, but you could tell the servers didn't want to be outside either. If we are sitting outside, we still expect service. Our server took our order and basically only came back after we got our food. When we had several problems, we had to ask for help of others besides our server, mainly the cleaning crew. So, I gave him a bad tip. I can give good tips, and I'm willing to admit I will give bad tips when deserved. It's been about an hour since eating my meal, and I feel sick now. Chugging water is all I can do.

As long time local resident have always enjoyed dining here. Never had the opportunity to try their off season early dining and really enjoyed it. Same great service and ambiance but at a very reasonable price. Two of us had salmon and one had beef and shrimp stir fry - everyone loved their dish. Our server, I think his name was Chris did an outstanding job making recommendations and being attentive. Great way to experience an exceptional restaurant at true value price.

Like always meal was great, our waiter was excellent and being a Florida resident getting a 10% was nice. You can rack up a nice bill here but you get a good meal. The only thing you can complain about is the deserts are average, would have gave it a 5 star if not for that. Even after that I would still return. Oh and the coffee was great to.

Had a great dinner at Chops last night, but my only complaint would be my waitress Amber. No personality and when I got the bill we had paid the full amount and didn't put in the tip just yet. She handed us the change and made a face like we didn't tip her. When we were getting ready to leave I went up to her telling her that her tip was on the table and I didn't forget about her. Then her attitude changed!! Cheryl our bartender was awesome had a great conversation with her and very personable. Would of loved her as my waitress.

Scott S was our server. He's awesome!! The service was friendly, professional, and attentive. The food was served efficiently, at the perfect temperatures and in elegant presentation. Truly a fine dining experience! Will definitely need to come back soon.

The food is expensive but they steaks are awesome and the service was even better. We spent a month in FL on vacation and the service here was one of the highlights of the trip. I forgot the name of the waiter but he is definitely an asset to this establishment. You can always tell your experience will be a good one when the blonde that greets you at the door is super hot!!

  • Christina B.

I was so excited to eat their dry aged steak, because the last time I had one (different restaurant) it was AMAZING! This steak was overcooked, charred on the outside and didn't have that distinct flavor. It was a regular NY strip that cost $62! The bread, wine and my martini was the highlight of my dinner. Would not go back and wouldn't recommend. Disappointing:(

The competition is tough in Naples. This place is near the top! Definitely not health food: corn brûlée, caramelized squash. Try the veggie plate!! Fish is excellent too.

This has been one of my favorite places to dine in Naples I been here more than 15 times the only reason I give this place 4 stars is because last time I was there and had fish it wasn't that tasty not fresh at all I am sure it wasn't fresh as always . I keep going back just because I do love the good here just this time wasn't good and the server did not offer to have something else and is not like cheap at all sometimes you just having so much fun and such a great company that you just ignore those little things . But this place is great if you eat steak my friends and I love Chops .

Definitely one of the best restaurants I've been to. This is the second or third time coming to Chops while vacationing in southern Florida. If you are looking for great dinner in Naples, and are willing to fork over some money, you got to go here. I ordered the Center Cut Filet for $45 and it was worth it. Very juicy and the Parmesan truffle fries for my side were pretty good. Tip: order the Loaded Mashed Potatoes for a side... You won't regret it.

Jewel of Naples! Amazing atmosphere, service, people, and food. If you travel to Naples for no other reason than to dine here you have made a successful and joyful journey. Located in the Historic District on 5th Avenue South amongst beautiful art shops, dining venues, and lovely streets to take in the overall ambiance of the location you will find Chop City; and you will be amazed at the attention to detail, comfortableness, and flavor of this delightful upscale restaurant. I have to confess I was wandering in my search and did not come with a specific place in mind. As I walked the street browsing I came upon the location and thought I approached the menu at the side of the door. Instead I was reading a very intriguing mission and purpose statement using descriptions like "our employees don't wear name tags because we want a personal approach" continuing discuss quality and virtue of the dining experience. Definitely peaked my interest. I had agreed to keep this place as a first choice as I looked over the rest of the street. As fate would have it I was stopped by an employee who being helpful, noting I had a black shirt on, by asking if I was going to dine with a lovely lady setting at an outdoor table. My loss! Immediately the subject tactfully changed to the menu and I was introduced to the inside which I found to be most brilliant in elegance with a wonderful sophisticated feel. I perused the menu and decided to stay and was offered a seat at a table and the hostess as an aside offered a seat at the Chef's Counter. Definitely a good choice. As I sat at the counter, which appeared be a decorative hammered copper, it was not long before I was approached by a server. I ordered the 14oz Strip, Butternut Squash, and Roasted Sweet Potato. This was accompanied by bread with two decoratively sliced butter pats garnished in a drizzle of oil. The strip came topped with onion rings and prepared to perfection. Perfectly seared with a delightful crispness on the outside and a succulent juiciness on the inside. The Butternut Squash was cut, not quiet diced, warmed just right leaving the texture intact topped with almond slivers; the Sweet Potato melted away from the skin on its own and delicious in its own right begged to not have the accompanied cinnamon butter applied but the two went together so well. Usually food is food but when I have an emotional response to the flavors I know that I am in a wonderful place where perfection is normal and the Gods create masterpieces for the mortals. Not only was the ambiance beautiful and the food spectacular; the service played a beautiful role as well. I saw artisans who care about the response to their creations. I was not alone in this type of service; as others sat at the counter they were equally engaged by the chef and staff regarding food and well-being delighting in genteel conversation. During the evening not only did my server visit but he chef came by before and after my meal; along with, a visit from the dining room manager. Everything from the sign on the door to the actions of the employees demonstrated a passion for their product. On my next visit to Naples this will be one of my reasons for returning.

We love going to Chops! The Corn Brulee and the Carpaccio are my favorites. The fried calamari is tender, and the steaks are incredible, of course. Can't wait to go back!

Whoa....treated so rudely by the catty brunette hostess and blonde bartender! Who's in charge over there?! Used to visit a lot. They won't be seeing our business anymore. And we will spread the word. No one deserves such treatment! Contacted managemet via email regarding situation and totally ignored. Wow.

This is not my first time at this restaurant. Yet, it has become one of the priciest restaurants in downtown Naples. It is a really good steakhouse and serves quality steak like dry aged steak. This steakhouse has the best spinach infused olive oil... It is decadent and over the top. It truly compliments the hot bread served daily on the table. But, 5 years ago, the cost was not even close to being that high. Still, the experience of eating good quality meat and well prepared is close to none. I am a fan for a long time and I recommend that to anyone visiting the Naples area to at least try this place once.

OVER OVER RATED. It was a big disappointment. We had a dinner there tonight and we will not go back. Calamari Appetizer - the plate had anything but calamari. It was on lettuce, filled with jalapeño peppers and two shrimp Organic green salad - tomatoes were very soft and the rest of the salad was swimming in the dressing Short ribs - OMG it was half fat half meat. Mashed potato was so garlicky Steak and tomato - it was GOOD Rib eye - if you want to eat raw meat, order medium. You can't go wrong Server - he was probably younger than me and kept calling me and other friends at the table, "young lady". He was uncaring and when we brought up an issue with the food, he didn't address it.

We made a reservation for the early bird dinner. We were seated as soon as we arrived, was around 5:45 PM. The bar was full of snowbirds, for their happy hour. The service was excellent, I ordered the strip steak which was chard. I didn't really like the house steak sauce. Everything else was delicious.

This was a great fine dining experience, made so because our server, Austin was very helpful and knowledgable. His suggestions on the food and wine were perfect. The beat salad was one of the best I have ever tasted. The creamed spinach and baked squash were divine. I was talked into the bone-in ribeye and was not sorry. The filet was also perfectly done. This is a lovely place to enjoy a great meal!

Found this place on Yelp. We tried to reserve on Open Table but there were no reservations for the time we wanted. Yelp, however, did have reservations available! We started with crab cakes, which were fantastic and plenty for 3 to share. I had the 7 oz filet with sauteed mushroom side and it was delish! Cooked perfectly, the mushrooms really added some extra flavor and moisture. My mom had Steak & tomatoes and it was excellent. Served with 3 artisan cheeses. My husband had the best entree, the short ribs. They were the best he's ever had....moist and tender and served with a Chipotle applesauce. We will definitely be back!

Great steak! I had the 18oz strip medium rare, cooked perfectly for a change... My fiancée had the 22oz ribeye which was so juicy cooked medium. THE MUSHROOMS ARE AMAZING!!! Quick and humble service as well!

Horrible meal over cooked steak, the waiter Joe raved about how the steak would be cooked perfectly...NOT, returned they re-cooked it and managed to serve it AFTER the entire table was done with their meal! Explained to waiter/ " manager" who said " well we did re-cook it for you that takes time" nice job make it the CUSTOMERS FAULT! Will never be back, over priced, over cooked, over it Save your money! Had to he AMAZING BBQ Short Ribs. I am not a short rib guy, but these were buttery smooth and Bbq sensational. The only reason I'd try something else next time would be to taste menu items. One thing for sure, you must try these, especially if you like beef and Bbq and tender! Matched with a bold Malbec, I was set! Shout out to GM Steve and waiter George O and definitely the chef!

Chris our server was excellent. He new the menu inside and out and gave great suggestions of the fish entrees to my wife The tuna chop app was excellent if you like sushi grade tuna The cheese platter was to die for I compare every filet mignon to Ruth Chris and I was very good 4 out of 5 The smashed potatoes fully loaded was delicious but the Mac and cheese tasted like Kraft Ambiance was upscale and sophisticated Will definitely return and ask for Chris the waiter

Holy Smokes!!! I had the best steak in my life here. I ordered the beef filet three ways, ( I think that was the name of it). It was 3 small filet mignons, each prepared a different way. They were all great and the best steak I ever ate!

Everything about this place is good! The food is always consistent, great atmosphere, and the service is fabulous! Most restaurant owners could learn something by eating at Chops...train your help to give good service! It's the best way to keep your customers happy and coming back. I would recommend making reservations...it's always busy.

  • Eric H.

Everything about Chops is phenomenal. The service is great, the wine menu is diverse, the food is spectacular. Here's your plan of action for the evening: Start out with the oysters chopafeller. They're pretty tasty and will prepare you for the rest of the meal's deliciousness. Next course, the tuna chop. Make sure you eat it quickly before the lemon juice cures the tuna. Skip the salads, you don't have the space. Main course: 18oz strip. The most flavorful steak I've ever had. Try the blackberry cabernet and the peppercorn cognac sauces with it, you will be amazed. The butternut squash and corn creme brûlée sides complete the excellence. If you still have room for dessert you can't go wrong with anything they have. My only regret is that it's a bit of a drive from my home. Open a downtown Fort Myers location please!

I am giving this restaurant five stars because not only was the food delicious but the service was superb. We made a reservation by mistake at the wrong location...we went to Naples on 5th Ave, but made the reservation at Bonita Springs. Upon arrival the hostess sat us outside just as we reserved. We sat outside at a lovely table, but unfortunately there was a smoker a few tables away and I do not tolerate smokers very well. I asked to be re-seated at a different table and the manager, the waitress and hostess were very accommodating and re-sat us ASAP. I ordered a bone in ribeye steak at the suggestion of the waitress. It was delicious and cooked to perfection. I also tried some of the cheese, sautéed mushrooms and an iceberg/tomato salad. All the food was delicious.

The "Crown Jewel" of Naples 5th Avenue restaurants. Chops has figured out how to offer the most creative, delicious and stunningly plated menu. They provide professional, friendly and attentive service (a rare combination). Our server suggested perfect wine pairings with our appetizers, took extra care of the children at our table and seemed to do it all effortlessly. The kitchen provided the most beautiful creations, but most importantly----perfectly cooked. An outstanding dinner for our entire party of 8. I cannot wait for just the two of us to return and return often. This was an Extra-Ordinary Experience. Thank you Chops!

When we first entered, we were seated right away, because we made a reservation. It took a while for the waiter to order our drinks. After we got our drinks, we waited about half an hour for someone to take our order, and the food wasn't cheap. About a quarter of the menu was over fifty dollars. After we ordered, we noticed some flies around the resturant, and they were on out table too. The food was very tasty, but everything was overpriced. The soup was almost $10! But I Would recommend it for some people.

The rating I have to give is not great , I would call this visit good at best. Over rated & over priced , we has wedge salad , which it doesn't resemble in any way , had way better, ordered filets , loaded mashed potato side, asparagus, extra side beef steak tomatoes (8$), potatoes cold, steaks not juicy & not much flavor. Dessert was good ,;-) sorry wont return. Now a word on the interior -- horrible , kept smelling old lady perfume - only when someone walked by / we figured out it was that carpet fresh stuff that you vacuum up. TEAR UP THAT CARPET. put down hardwood, art work on the wall! & paint over that purple paint .:-;(

After hearing such great things from 5 different friends of ours, we just had to try it. The bartenders were very kind, and our food server was very nice and funny. Our party consisted of 5 people, 3 were served improperly cooked steak. Shame on you! How dare you charge me almost $40.00 for 7 oz filet and serve it to me burnt? I could not even cut it nor chew that! I do recommend their calamari, which was tender.

  • Theresa T.

The quality of the food and presentation was excellent. If you are looking for turn and burn this is your place. We were seated promptly at six o'clock and out the door by seven o'clock. This is not fine dinning. Our server Amber T. Rushed us through our meal, clearing the table while there was food on our plates. We would have ordered a second bottle of wine but there wasn't any time. Feeling that the staff pushed us along to be able to seat the next party. Amber blamed the kitchen for our rushed service. We cannot fault the food just the rushed service!! Wasn't the kitchen!!!

Service is impeccable and the appetizers are delicious. We had the calamari, clam chowder and the beef cappacho and all three were very good! We didn't even order dinner. And btw - the Cosmo drinks are to die for!!! Austin the waiter is just the best ever!!!

I was excited to try this place after reading thru the happy reviews. We decided to have their filet mignon. Although unique in that it is placed on a fried slice of eggplant, we found it to be quite overdone. They replaced it for us and compensated us with a complimentary dessert. Flavoring was good but I wasn't impressed and wouldn't necessarily return. I really enjoyed my Eddie v's steak experience at Tampa instead.

  • Andrew J.

Service was friendly but I wasn't as impressed overall this time. This was a must visit for us and next time I'm not sure it will make the list. I ordered a dry aged filet medium and it was burnt on the sides. A salad from a chain restaurant would have been better as mine was wilting. My wife enjoyed hers but wasn't overly impressed.

Great restaurant! Food is amazing. Ordered the tomato and mozzarella salad which was great. Then had the short ribs entree and oh my God it was amazing! The sauce is great and the mashed potato and chipotle applesauce were great accompanients! Also had the dream martini (I believe thats what it was called). It was flavored with watermelon and was amazing! The other 4 people I was with ordered steaks and loved them. Everyone cleaned their plates. Service here is fantastic! Very attentive and friendly! We had a wonderful meal here and will definitely be back next time in town.

Not very impressed. I ordered salmon with creamed cauliflower and spinach. It was around $26 and was one of the cheapest dishes on the menu. The portion size was awful, more like a appetizer. The dish tasted fantastic. I left there and ate dinner again at another restaurant two hours later. No Hats Allowed also.

Highly recommend, worth every dollar. Impeccable service and great wine selection. Our filets were great and the presentation very impressive, if in Naples come here, you will not regret it.

  • Alexandra G.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. I enjoy their watermelon salad and artisanal cheese plate. My steak was a little over cooked but their corn soufflé and macaroni cheese side dishes are great! I will definitely return. The only reason why I gave this review three stars is because when the restaurant is busy ( almost always) it can be difficult to converse with other people at your table due to the overwhelming amount of noise.

This is supposed to be the #1 restaurant in Naples, according to all the signs all over the front of the restaurant. We were in the mood for steak so we came here. I know its unfair to compare Miami restaurants with restaurants on other cities but in this case... there is no comparison. This place was far from "#1" I'll begin with the table. It was wobbly and uneven. The white linens could not disguise the quality or lack thereof. The staff was vacuuming the floors while patrons were still eating, this was a HUGE turn-off for me. Also, the food is overpriced. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I would not return either.

This is my favorite restaurant on 5th Ave, and there are a lot of good restaurants here. The menu is ambitious but no detail is left to chance. The servers are top notch and the bartenders are amiable. The interior is very pretty. I love the tuna chop. My husband loves the burger, but you can only get it at the bar. Every dish I ever tasted here was delicious and the presentation is perfect. I can't imagine how anyone wouldn't love this restaurant!

  • Mark N.

I've been wanting to try chops for a while now so I was glad I made time to sneak in for dinner at the bar. The wine list and happy hour deals for food/drinks is pretty extensive. In fact if I go back I will be sure to make it for happy hour. I got the chopped salad to start, then the rib eye with smashed cauliflower as a complement. The salad was good, nothing too amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly and had a great sear on the outside. It also didn't taste like they drowned it in butter when it was done cooking. This was certainly the best steak I have had in this area. With a great mix of good food, service and ambiance, I was pleasantly surprised with Chops.

    (4)
  • Spencer J.

Great atmosphere and very tasteful decor; that said, and without wanting to sound ungrateful, the steaks were pretty mediocre in flavor. We had the bone-in rib-eye and the filet and neither had the 'prime dry-aged' flavor that one would expect at a nicer steak house. I definitely expected better.

If you have a dietary restriction or allergy, then you need to rethink this as your choice to dine at! I have an allergy to mango and papaya and specifically told the waiter who I saw write it down and chose the Terriyaki seabass to be made without it. There was "confusion" (so I was told) as to how to prepare my meal, so the waiter came back to clarify and I reiterated how I wanted it made. They ignored my instructions, put all the different sauces in small ramekins and let me assemble my own dish, BUT THEY BROUGHT ME THE BERRY BERRY CHOW CHOW, which is the MANGO AND PAPAYA! Had I not asked the ingredients in all the different ramekins on my plate, I would have eaten it! No apology, no manager visit to our table, no nothing so I wrote an email to the corporate office. I did receive a callback, but was informed by the person who called me, that the executive chef was "confused" and that "they did me a favor", by placing all the ingredients on the side for me. Huh? How is bringing me the ALLERGIC ingredient on my plate a favor? He didn't offer me another chance to dine at the restaurant to make it right by sending some type of gift certificate, didn't invite me back, didn't do anything but say they were going to use this as a teaching experience. Paid way too much for a mistake like that with absolutely no effort to rectify it for their customer especially when you send corporate an email to let this know this happened! If this is read by the management, you know who this is and can contact me to do the right thing!

Let me start by explaining my rating a bit - 5 for food, 1 for service, so nets to a 3 star. I really enjoyed the food, as did my rather large party (8 total). The steak was grilled to perfection, seasoned great. I had the sea bass, wonderfully done. The City Salad I had was great, as were other appetizers had by my fellow table mates. What I could not get over was the pushiness of the service staff. I say this because, every step of the way, we felt rushed...to order, the delivery of the food to the table (too quick!), and the move to clear the table. The appetizers appeared too quick, followed quickly by the entree. We barely had time to breath and the food was upon us. Plates were cleared while others were dining. It felt like the moment a fork went down, the plate was cleared. One of the diners at our table had a large steak, that they "took a break" on...and the server dashed in to remove the plate. We had to protest that he was not done yet! At one point, I told our server to back down a bit, but it did not work...I kept looking over my shoulder to see him hovering, looking for the opportunity to jump in. I really think this could be one of the best restaurants in Naples, yet the service is rather discouraging. It's great food at a fast food pace. I don't mind paying a premium price, but its a full package. I'd like to feel that I am enjoying my dining experience, not just eating food and dashing. I want to talk to my fellow diners, enjoy the ambiance, not just be part of a commercial enterprise trying to turn tables as fast as possible. I hope the service changes...for I truly believe Chops can be so much more than it is today. And it's and easy fix!

Went here last week when in Naples - Had the Aged Rib-eye and it was cooked perfectly! One of my favorite meals while in Naples. Deserts were pretty awesome as well.

Hands down, the best meal of our trip! We made a reservation same day. When we arrived, the restaurant was packed and had quite a crowd waiting for a table. We were seated about 10 minutes after our reservation time. Our server was outstanding. BJ had a beer and I had a cosmo. We shared a chopped classic wedge, which as an amazing salad. It was a mold of baby iceberg, blue cheese, applewood smoked bacon, tomato, candied walnuts and micro cress. So fresh and delicious. We both had petite filets. For my side, I got the roasted butternut squash. This side dish was perfect. BJ got the sea salt baked potato with bacon and chives. Everything was perfect cooked and delicious! For dessert, we shared a cheesecake that was served with berries. So, good. Love this restaurant.

I always enjoy chops on my many visits to our second home in Naples. It's so hard not to get the oysters chopafeller everytime, but the crab cake appetizer is also absolutely amazing. My grandfather is a big fan of the short ribs, and I either get the miso salmon which is delicious or the filet Oscar which is out of this world. Our last visit just a week or so ago we received mini ice cream cones with a delicious white chocolate ice cream. Amazing! Always thrilled and they always get 5 stars from me.

Hostess was rude and could barely accommodate our request to sit outside in spite of the fact that we were there very early in the evening. Waiter was excellent. Food was average. Highly overrated because chef doesn't have a sophisticated palette.

Great grouper risotto, overpriced and black burnt steaks (tasted also like burned), uncosy interior with low acoustic absorbation (sounds like a chicken coop), smell and noice of open kitchen are most inconvenient, especially if you are seated in the back, also very hasty service. Just another typical American restaurant, which is efficiently runned by businessmen. Can't understand why this place is always so crowded. This could never be a success in Europe. The level of the food is far too low and the prices are astronomical... but this is Naples, FL... AND again very far from Naples, Italy!!

I had the seared Tuna oyster appetizer and 2010 Stagg's Leap Pinot Nior. The food was excellent as was the presentation and service. We had a table of ten and the adults in our group all enjoyed the entrees..to include filet, steak tenderloin, and a unique combo of mac n cheese for the kids. If you are looking for a solid menu spanning fish and steak with an upscale feel but casual dress than Chop CIty will not disappoint. For those looking for a meeting place for cocktails to meet prior to dinner Chop City has a full bar in the dinning room with plenty of room to mingle and catch-up

I have been to Chops every time I am in Naples. Chops has some of the best steak around always cooked to perfection. I like my Filet Mignon rare-medium rare, nice and red in the middle and they don't disappoint. Side of sea salt baked potato was also very good. I also ordered the King Crab add-on and it was perfect. Everything came out on time and tasted delicious. I skipped desert to have a nice glass of Port - Taylor 20 yr was priced a little high but lower than other restaurants I have been to so I decided why not. Overall 5 Star dinner, nice ambiance for an evening meal, server was very nice and outgoing, but overall the service has slipped a bit. All in all, I will continue to go every time I am in Naples and will always get my Filet Mignon.

Our last night in Naples we wanted to go out for a nice dinner and we found a great place. First the service was really, really great! Our waiter was so attentive but not overly present, very funny and gave great advice. I had two of their specials - a caprese salad that was so yummy and a chicken pasta dish that again was great. My mom and sister both had steak. I tried my sister's loaded mashed potatoes and they were really good. My mom ordered a corn side dish that was good but weird -- like creme brulee with corn mixed in?? For dessert we split apple pie -- it was fine but I could have skipped it.

Last night, we spent our 31st wedding anniversary at Chops. We have done so off and on over the years but this year it was spectacular. Perhaps it was the new chef who is so friendly and nice (and he remembered us from years ago) or was it the wonderful Host (I knew him also) or our fun server or was it the Saute guy behind the grill or was it the food or was it the drinks? Whatever it was, it was the perfect evening with amazing service, food, drinks and dessert. I just might have to go back sooner than our next anniversary...HINT, HINT. We sat our fav spot...the food bar.

This is the best restaurant on 5th Avenue in Napples, for certain. I recently had the Tuna Tataki, Ribeye with wild mushrooms on the side and fries and it was on-the-money. Previously, I'd had the pork chop (which was fine), but it was so expensive that I simply could not do that again. The service was decent, but the noise level in the place is a bit of a problem. The room is big and they pack the place in-season -- so be prepared that you'll most likely not have a quiet dining experience. Be sure to have a reservation, especially in-season or on the weekend. Also: avoid sitting at the bar along the kitchen area in the back: too loud, too hot and spotty service.

Trio of Filet mignon (a special) and lamb were excellent. Service by Austin was poor. Wine list way overpriced. We spent $250 for just the two of us and did not even have a salad or dessert. They wanted to charge us $8 for a side of broccoli. LOL. We had to ask for Austin to light the candle and then to serve us some bread. This is after waiting at our table for half an hour. The leftovers were put in a Target bag! At least it looked like it.

Visited for the first time last week. This is much more than just a chop house for steaks. We really enjoyed their tuna app but the crab cocktail was so good, when no one was looking (I hope), I drank the 'sauce' from the martini glass it was served it. Fantastic!!

Good steak and service, and perhaps at the high end of the curve in Naples but not any broader. Pretty busy for a holiday weekday night, though OpenTable worked fine for reservations. Drinks were ok, I enjoyed a decent spicy bloody mary with a shooter of Yuengling (remarkably good combination). Fun little cocktail menu though, so good potential for other good drinks. An extensive wine list with variety of prices, and you can get some decent wines under $80. There's not much on the appetizers if you are looking for healthy or light. We got the shrimp and beef spring rolls, and surprised get three fried lumps ('spring' rolls are usually fresh), and the stacked tomato salad is not the usual steakhouse beefsteak tomato dish, but a pretty heavy salad with too much cheese and dressing drenched greens. For entree - I had a center cut filet, rare but warm. Was good but have had much better steaks for $35 (and less). The steaks come with one side. I chose the cauliflower mash, which is an interesting low-carb alternative to mashed potatoes, but lacking in depth of flavor. Dinner for four with drinks, tax and tip approx $380

I love chops and I believe it is the best steakhouse in Naples. This is no Peter Luger but the food is great and the service is on par. You would never think to order clam chowder here but it is the best I've had south of Boston. Some of the wait staff can be a bit...stuffy, and the wine list is a little steep, but overall if you are in Naples I think this should be your big night out!

You can add this place to the list of establishments I won't be patronizing in the future. I don't need you sticking your right-wing ideologies in my face while I'm PAYING YOU for an expensive meal.

Nice restaurant with pretty good service. Sits in the downtown in a great location, there's even free parking down the street. My husband got a steak and I had the chicken, both were great. We definitely didn't get as top-notch service (which we're kind used to since we don't usually drink and a lot of waiters don't care much about you after they find that out) for instance, my husband didn't received a steak knife and had to wait a little until the waitress came to check on us to get one. Besides that though it was great.

BAD EXPERIENCE - I'm happy to pay a premium price for excellent food and service, but that's not what Chop's delivered. The heirloom tomato salad didn't have heirloom tomatoes. It was the same flavorless tomatoes you get at any grocery store. The waitress didn't know what an heirloom tomato was, but graciously took it back. The medium rare steak came way undercooked. We sent it back with the instruction: medium rare has a warm red center. The manager brought the recooked steak, but didn't say a word. A steak restaurant should know how to grill steak if they're charging $35-50. The steak was topped with a pile of greasy fried onions, that looked and smelled unappetizing. This place needs attention.

If MacDonalds was to start a steak house it would be Chops. Our waitress was pleasant. Salad served within 30 seconds of ordering it. Steaks served as the last leaf of lettuce was leaving our plates. Food was quite good. My guess is the restaurant is run by accountants. How to have an upscale meal in under 40 minutes. They should serve half bottles of wine, no time for a full bottle. My guess is the whole staff is on bonus for meals served per 15 minutes. If they start a drive through the transformation will be complete.

The food was less than average. I was very disappointed. The crab cakes were average and smothered in a large amount of mayo. The waitress that served me was below par - unprofessional and lacking personality. She asked me how my food was when I had just put food in my mouth. There is a plentitude of good restaurants in Naples and I would suggest foregoing this one. I don't know if it has changed ownership or there is new management but it needs to step it up. It looks like an enticing place to eat at first but they will definitely lose their repeat customers.

Think Florida is for Seniors? Well, only if you mean in the superlative sense. So here I am, in Naples, in the SUMMER. Yep. I'm neither 80 nor Haitian.... In fact, hey, if it's gonna be 91, which it was in DC today, I would rather be at the Freaking beach and since I am over 23, you could not pay me enough to go to Dewey. Ditto Rehobeth. Look. You want a beach? Go to Florida. You want a deal? Go in the summer. Ok. That's another post. Back to Chop. Bottom line? I paid for two for dinner tonight what my Bottle of Outfreakingtastic wine would've cost in DC. Literally. They had this deal.... 2 course for 2 people for $39 and a bottle of wine half off. Plus my cocktail, served at 5:45 in a vat was only $5.50. My daughter's meal was only $9. Seriously, the whole meal came to $89.68, before tip. I had a 2005 bottle of Au Bon Climat cab!!!! Are you kidding me??????? Bruce, our server, gets two emphatic thumbs up for pointing out that the $39 deal, didn't actually require 2 people to order. Oh, and the shrimp/beef hand rolled spring rolls were sex on a plate. Grouper? Super. Margarita? Terribly Neat-a. I'm going to freaking lie about my age for the first time since I was 17.... And get my GD AARP card; Naples, FL... You rock.

Steak is tricky. It's not easy to make it great, which is why I'm always cautious when eating at steakhouses. I know not to get my hopes up. Chops is a decent steakhouse. The steak itself was pretty good. Any place that can actually cook your steak to how you order it is already way ahead of the curve. Though a lady next to me had to send her steak back because it wasn't cooked properly. Take it for what it's worth. I think she was one of those well-done (read burned by recognition) people. I do think this place it terribly overpriced. I've eaten in exponentially better places than this for a lot less. The steaks alone, not taking into account any other part of the meal, could easily cost you over $100. I honestly cannot justify ever returning to this place at that cost. It wasn't good enough for that. The food is OK, but be ready to drop a pretty penny for it.

A great steakhouse! Decor is plain jane and tables are PACKED in the place unless you get a booth. Glad we sat in a booth but you come for the steak which was outstanding! You get a "free" side with your steak or entree but "free" is relative seeing how you are paying for it. Comparable and/or better than the national expensive chains of Ruth Chris and Mortons. I had the 18oz NY strip and wife had the filet mignon. Both steaks were prepared perfectly as they should be and the sides were excellent as well. I got the corn creme brulee as a side which was interesting & really good. We also had the oysters chopafella (not sure of exact appetizer name) which were outstanding. Wine list was overwhelming, in a good way, with a great range of bottles under $50 which is my cheapness limit. You may ask why 4 stars & not 5, well because luckily for us the place was empty since it was off-season or it would have been annoying as close the tables are to each other.

Great food, great service, Andrew our waiter even split the sides they shared for us during the meal. It's the type of service you would expect for finer dining. Be aware if you have an early reservation at 5:00 PM they do not open the doors until then so it will be enter and sit --- I personally like to arrive 30 minutes early for a drink but they doors don't open until 5:00 PM. Other than that everything is done very well, it gets four stars because there is nothing unique about the atmosphere itself -- food = 5 stars. There is also a great kids menu with fantastic sides i have not seen on many other children's menus.

Visited a couple of weeks ago while on a getaway to Naples. I had been to this restaurant about 4 years ago and never forgot it, I wanted to introduce my hubby to it and I came back. Once again had a great dinner. The steak was cooked to perfection. I ordered a side of Cream Spinach and it was the best I've had, better than Capital Grill or Ruth Chris. My husband ordred the Porterhouse with a side of Mushrooms which was also very very good. Not sure the name of the dessert we had but it was a sampling of a creme brule, chocolate mouse which was also very good. If you want to have a nice dinner in a great atmosphere along 5th avenue I highly recommend this restaurant.

I really enjoyed my visit. I walked up solo at ~7pm on a Thurs night without a reservation and was initially told they were booked 'til 9. But a 2nd hostess said, 'wait a minute, what about table 31?' and 15 min. later I was seated. And I was not disappointed. I was able to select from a nice choice of single malts, loved their 'City Style' salad (esp. the carmelized nuts on the side), had a petite filet cooked to perfection with a 'complement' of savory mushrooms, and finished it off with a craft draft beer recommended by my attentive waiter (sorry, I can't remember the name of the beer). The meal was a bit pricey, but this is Naples after all?

DELISH! (yes I'm yelling it) everyone in our party of 6 had an incredible dinner! I think we covered the menu pretty well...salads, hashimi, calimari, whole red snapper, black grouper, filet, bone-in rib eyes, and, of course, wine...and all was outstanding! This was my 2nd time, and can't wait for #3

You can take the Capital Grills and the rest of them and bring all these "experts" to Naples and 5th Ave and give them a lesson in true steak house dining. Funny but I always get fish! Now let's start with the Chops tuna special. Out it comes in this bowl with two spoons and perfectly dice cubes of yellow fin tuna, herbs, flavors and the server says "should I prepare it or sir would you like to?" "Any advice" I reply? He says " when you think you have mixed it enough ...keep mixing!" He's right the mixture of tuna and good flavors of citrus and more just make the tuna alive with rub it in your hair good tastes. So what do I do.......order the grouper. Encrusted with macadamia and perfectly cooked. Damn! Sorry don't eat much meat any more but my guests said their NY sirloin and filet were better than perfect. Also, no big honking broccoli staring at me. Don't even know if they offer it. Great wine list so-so priced and what a bar. Did I tell you about the bar......oh baby? Wish I ate there. Martini heaven! Can't wait to go back. Oh if you have a choice.....Bonita Springs is very good but no atmosphere. Great food - poor design.

Been there on a Wednesday night and the place was full. Chris was our waiter and he was very friendly, professional and patient with my 2-year-old daughter. I had a wonderful bone-in rib eye, with was succulent, and my wife had the grouper. Tried their oysters appetizer and creme brulee as dessert also. Very good experience overall, it is on the expensive side but very consistent. NOT FOR THE AVERAGE NAPLES CHEAPSKATE!!!!!!!!!!!

After many years of enjoying Chops and suggesting it to others, the quality has dropped substantially. Naturally, this refers to the steak. The dry aged meat of previous years seems to have been replaced by a lower quality. We have noticed this the last several visits. There will not be any more. There are too many other quality steak houses now, albeit a bit further north. We will make the trip!

Sam, our server did an outstanding job. Excellent dinner for four of us this evening. Started with a beef carpaccio to share and clam chowders. Both were excellent and fresh. Best clam chowder with fresh steamed little necks with amazing flavor. Hawaiian sushi roll, Tuna, Pork and Filet Mignon was all perfectly prepared. Can't wait to go back!

Chops might be the best place in town for a steak. I wouldn't come here for Seafood as there are plenty of outstanding five star seafood restaurants in town. Try Trulucks, Roys or if your looking for slightly more casual but still nice Tommy Bahamas. The wines at this restaurant need some improvement for me to justify a five star experience. I would give a 4.5 if I could. If you can't get into Chops due to it's extream popularity try the two listed below. They are both on the north side of Naples. Other recommended steakhouses in town, Flemings & Capital Grill

Upon arriving at the table on a Sunday night, we were rush to order and only offered a glass of wine after insisting on it. We ordered a salad that was stacked and upon arriving at our table, it had fallen over. Wasn't taken back but rather waiter made a joke of it and served it. Our waiter checked back infrequently but gave all of his attention to a group of businessmen at the adjacent table. The prices at this establishment should include more attention to detail. Won't return.

I visit Naples a lot and most of its restaurants are expensive and the food is not so hot, but not Chops City Grill. This place delivers delicious food. I had their chop house salad and my husband the Tuna Chop, this was so good that I ate half of it. We shared a strip steak which was deliciously cooked. The cauliflower side dish was very good We will return for sure. Service is professional. One thing, it was only 10:00pm and they were sweeping the carpet and generally acting like the place was closing, this on Thursday night! Maybe in Naples 10PM is considered very late?

WOW!! Best food in Naples!! We came here for dinner on the last night of a 10-day trip, and had an amazing meal. We started out at the bar, with an awesome bartender telling totally inappropriate jokes- super fun! ;D Really great drinks too- that margarita is deeelicious. Then we grabbed a table with my family and ordered dinner. WOW. I had a filet with a blackberry cab reduction that was just mouthwatering. The corn casserole I had as a side was completely delicious. Wow. I don'[t remember what anyone else ordered, but I remember hearing lots of "wow"s as we ate. Really, really awesome. A note to Chops though- the concierge at the Hilton tells people that Chops has a bunch of health-code violations, but I didn't see any info anywhere about that. I suspect they want people to eat at Shula's- which is inferior food for 3 times the price. ;)

Chops is typically our favorite steak house in Naples Fl. My wife and I have been a bot disappointed the last trips to this main stay in Naples. The service has been ok, the food has been good but not great overall. They've raised prices which is understandable but it also looks like they are changing the offerings and make them less tasty. The vegetarian dinner has had a number of changes and is not to my wifes likings today. We went last night and our meals was not up to the normal standards of Chops. My 7oz filet looked like it was maybe 5 oz's? The filet was very good and cooked to my likings, just so small and the side of creamed spinach was at best warm. Overall for just disappointing dinner, my wire's grilled black grouper was very dry and a bit burnt. Our overall main course were just OK for a $140 meal we weren't happy for the first time at Chops. We shared the Tuna Chop which was excellent. Overall the meal was a disappointment I think Chops is losing their appeal to me. For a high price meal they need to be perfect not just good overall.

Chops is my favorite restaurant in Naples. The dress is relatively casual. I like to dress up a little when I go here, but people show up in jeans all the time. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. There are some tables out on the sidewalk and on nice nights they open the windows, so the tables just inside feel like they are outside. There are also booths along one side of the restaurant and they serve the full menu at the bar. It is always busy, whether it is in season or not. For an appetizer, I always get the calamari. It is the best calamari that I have ever had. It is served with a slightly spicy sauce, which beats marinara sauce anyday. Their cosmopolitan is the best in Naples! The steaks are always cooked perfectly. And if you are like me, I order mine well-done, but ask them not to butterfly it, and it still comes out perfect. The potato sides they come with are also delicious. I've never been able to try the desserts because I'm also so full after everything else I've enjoyed. The wait staff is very nice and willing. They will often joke around with you and keep you entertained. The prices are relatively expensive, but it is expected in a steakhouse.

Delicious! We took the in-laws here when they visited us last week. My father in-law loves a good steak and many locals told us to try Chops. Excellent recommendation!, we all enjoyed some variation of the fillet. Our waiter was amazing, the place was packed and we were taken care of very well, prime time sat night. With reservations we were sat immediately. The only slight bummer was the tables are pretty tight, but we had a blast . All in all we tried the New England Clam Chowder ( Delicious),a good variety of salads, (creative and tasty, ) & try the Green Goddess dressing for sure, fillets with the Oscar sauce, Cabernet sauce, and lots of starch- Every bite was perfect. Only I didn't enjoy their version of scallop potatoes, but that was my issue with the cheesiness. We also split an excellent dessert - We were surprised the menus prices really were not all that bad, not for the quality of the food. My husband & I cannot wait to go back and try all of the appetizers....and more fillets.....and the seafood......and more soup..... One of my new favorite Naples places.

I have been to Chops many times over the years and it is consistently very good. The menu covers a lot of ground between steakhouse fare, sushi and Asian fusion seafood. Not many places can pull that off competently but Chops does. This makes it a great place to go with a group as there is something for everyone. I can also say that we have always had great service as well.

The only reason this place doesn't get five stars is the service. The waiter seemed overwhelmed and trying to rush us rather than allowing us to ask questions about the menu and disappeared from the table for 15 min at a time everytime. With the exception of the colossal crab special the food was great. The colossal crab appeared to be frozen and unfresh and a grey mealy color. Not what I expect from something called a special. It is not like we are in the Midwest we are on the water in Florida the seafood should be fresh. When I asked the waiter about the crab e was unhelpful and just shrugged I don't know. For the good news: the filets were soft and buttery and I think the second best filet after the Forge in Miami and that I saying something. The tuna chop was delicious although slightly citrusy and the salad was great as well as the sides although the waiter forgot to bring the low carb cauliflower side. Perhaps the waiter was overwhelmed but for forty dollars a person I expect superior service.

We were in Naples for a big family vacation, 7 of us met there, and we ate a lot. We went to Chops City Grill for dinner on a Sunday night. It was completely packed at 7:00 p.m. when we showed up for our reservation. We each ordered a drink, some beer, some wine, and some mixed drinks including their amazingly yummy margarita! Two people in our group ordered oysters, which they claimed were great. Dinner choices were basically fish, chicken and steak. The grouper my step-father had was good, miso-glazed salmon was delicious, the chicken dishes were great, but the steak was outstanding!! They give you different options for size of the filet as well as different styles of cooking. Just wonderful!!! Only slightly bad thing was that they didn't have any vegetarian entrees for my boyfriend. So he ordered a salad and chose a few sides for an a la carte meal. He really enjoyed his sides, though! I would definitely recommend this place if you don't mind spending a chunk of money on some amazingly good food.

I was in Naples for 2 weeks for business and tried to go to a different place every night. Luckily Naples does have a lot of restaurants. I had driven by Chops and well it looked good so one day I decided to go eat there with a coworker. I ordered the 12 oz. New York Strip. I ordered it medium well and unfortunately it was a little bit undercooked in some areas, but overall it was delicious. I ordered it with a side of one of their house-made sauces, the Blackberry-Cabernet Sauce and mmmm was it good! The desert wasn't all that great, but I was already satisfied enough by the delicious steak! I would definitely recommend this place!

Chops is a great place for wine, steaks, and fun. The Bar menu is really fun and reasonably priced. The wine list is choice, and the steaks are prime. I like the Bar menu and Martinis after golf. or a nice bottle of wine and steaks w friends for a more formal evening.

In my travels for business I was put up at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs, FL , a retirement community for rich golfers and a frequent winter vacation spot for pro athletes. High rise condos here run for about 800k a unit (and I thought the bay was expensive!) and outside of pool time and a slew of outdoor activities Bonita/Fort Myers and Naples is hours away from what I considered "fun." Miami, Ft Lauderdale and Panama City was not an option so I was left with Times Square near Fort Myers beach as my fall back for nightlife. After a long day in training and knowing everything would be expensed I asked the front desk the best place this side of Florida to eat and was shuttled off to Chops. The restaurant has a truly warm and romantic feel with neuvo decor, beautiful waitresses and a surprisingly trendy vibe. Top that with the fact everyone was dressed to the nines and I instantly fell in love with the place. The menu, ranging from apps around 10$ to entrees around 40$, Chops uses only the top 5% of the best US beef. They actually age their steaks 15-21 days (only 1% of the steak houses in the US do this) and then trim the edges and cook to perfection delivering THE tastiest steak East of the Mississippi! If your ever in this neck of the woods, vacationing or enjoying one of their 100 golf courses make sure you stop in for a bite.
