Had lunch here yesterday. Like others have stated the ceviche, which we had for an appetizer, was excellent.(we had the mixed seafood). I had the fish soup which was loaded with fish and delicious. My husband had grilled fish which was also terrific. Our server, Jennifer, was very helpful with all our questions about the menu, since it was our first time there and very attentive. Will definitely return.

Awesome fresh seafood! Hope my picture attached so you can see!

When I come to Naples, I crave fresh, healthy seafood. This restaurant provides this at a very good price. It also offers Cuban food that's equally fresh and delicious. Enjoyed a large grilled snapper with asparagus and a potato - all for under $15! This would cost more than twice the price on 5th Ave or 3rd St. Would recommend and will return.

We just ate there and the food was average at best. We had the calamari as an appetizer which we ended up with more crumbs of batter than calamari. Anything we ordered fried (fries, onion rings, tostones) all we dripping grease. We could squeeze the oil out of the fries. Disgusting. To their credit they took it back and brought us ones a bit less moist. The waitress was very nice and apologetic, as we showed her all the things that were inedible due to the amount to oil. It really was disappointing given what it could have been...never again

I bought an online coupon for this place to be used on vacation. We did not know what to expect so we were suprised that it was just a little place on the side of a semi-busy road. There were 2 other large parties in the buliding and the two of us. I ordered the cuban steak with black rice and plaitains which was amazing! The rice was just perfect tasting and the platains were great! The steak was seasoned awesome and perfectly cooked for being so thin. My boyfriend got the Mahi Mahi with mango salsa on it...one of the most perfect pieces of fish I have ever tasted! Service was great and everything tasted wonderful!

Had lunch here after we forget time & time again to do so & we're glad we did. It's a much better update to Mr.$5 that used to haunt this building, & parking really blows but what can ya do in this spot? The decor to this seafood house is cute & comforting, the only server (and I'm guessing manager) was awesome, friendly & fun. We had iced tea (w/ lime wedge... I dig lil things like this, makes a place stand out in my boggled brain...) & started w/ the Conch Fritters, they were good & homemade... but kinda thready texture, like they put the conch meat in a blender, but at least it wasn't that pre-made scoop bucket garbage, so I liked it. Misses had a swordfish platter w/ black beans & rice, it was good, and it was huge, a thin cut but took up the whole plate, she likes the thick cut filet lookin cut, but I dug it. I had the Fish n Chips, batter was great, nice, delicate & crunchy and nowhere near that doughnutty batter that you have to slop through to get to your fish. The chips were those 'Checkers' crunchy, crackly fries,... they're good but I woulda been more down with the thick steak fries I associate w/ fish & chips. Asked for some hot-sauce (it's a Cuban Fish-house, it's gotta be good!) but they gave me Tobasco :-( All in all, liked the look, dug the food, loved the server & my wallet enjoyed the price. We look foward to going for dinner one night.

I have been told to come here for awhile and finaly did for dinner. It was AMAZING! I had the garlic shrimp and my friend had mahi mahi. They each came with a choice of 2 sides a everything was good. Price was decent for the portion size. I will come back for sure. I wish I would have tried one of the deserts.

Great Cuban seafood experience. The staff is friendly, the wait was long and the small dining area is loud. However don't miss the fried green polenta and any fish dish here will impress.

We ate there last night. The service was good and so was the food but at the end I ate a piece of crab and it tasted like ammonia and smelled very strong. I have it to the waitress and she came back saying the owner would give us a free dessert which we declined. We weren't looking to have our meal comped just to alert the kitchen. Having and executive chef for a son he would want to know if there was something wrong. They didn't seem to be too concerned. Because of that I can't recommend this place unfortunately.

Absolutely wonderful ceviche...you must try it! We had Capt. Marco's seafood soup/stew, truly a delicious meal in itself. Delightful staff and chef. Try Capt. Marco's flan, too...you definitely will not be disappointed.

We've been here for dinner around 4 times and this place never lets us down. The food is phenomenal and the service has been great. The meats, their seafood, rice etc, all have great favors. Do not hesitate to come here, you will not regret it!

Six of us dined there on Tues. April 9. Everything's was good, but there were several standouts. The shrimp creole and grilled grouper were special. The grilled snapper and mixed seafood soup average. Looking for good food reasonably priced, this is the spot. Looking for ambience, move on.

Stopped here for dinner. Very attentive staff, the mix ceviche is very good as well as the served portion. The ambience is casual so no need to dress up. Bon apetit!!!

My husband and I have driven by a few times and finally decided to have dinner at Capt. marco's . What a pleasant surprise the service was superb and the presentation of the most excellent food was very imressive. Try it you won't be disappointed.

Awesome mix of fresh seafood with authentic Cuban food. Conch fritters were fantastic! Fresh fish, great black beans and rice! Love the fact that this place is locally owned, and so fresh! I highly recommend this place.

Great Cuban seafood inspired dishes! We had lobster tails and lobster bisque and loved every bite! Well priced and great service! Go a little bit later to beat the rush, as the place is a little small!

Great food! Authentic Cuban taste which is very hard to find in Naples. It was our first time and I'm sure we'll be back. I had the oxtail which was amazing, tried the roast pork and paella equally tasty. Not fancy, just really good food.

Small restaurant with homey atmosphere and service. Everything we had was delicious, grouper and swordfish, fired yucca, maduros, and yellow rice. The daily special was quite reasonable, and came with two sides. The only complaint I had was the piece of grouper I had was small, but my mom and dad had the swordfish special, and that was a good portion. The service was a little slow, not to order, but to get the food.

Great place. A welcomed change from the upscale (yet similar tasting) restaurants. Smaller menu but if you like seafood and Cuban food this is your place.

I went here yesterday with my love and the food was amazing and the service, our waitress Laura, was wonderful! When you walk in the restaurant it does smell a bit fishy, but nevertheless it is a seafood restaurant! We ordered and shared the ceviche mixto, grilled swordfish with sides of yuca frita (fried cassava) and asparagus as well as sweet platanos (plantains) and to top it all off we had the flan! The ceviche was great with the perfect combination of lime/lemon and seasoning. It was delicious as is or with the saltine crackers provided. I also ate some yuca frita with the ceviche and the pairing tasted divine. It was refreshing and on the lemony side, just the way I like it! The grilled sword fresh was perfectly seasoned, juicy and tender. The asparagus and the yuca in the side were perfect sides. Coming from California we were definitely on the hunt for good yuca and out of the other three restaurants we tried, Captain Marco's was by far has the yuca we have had yet! We ordered a second side because it was so good! The flan drizzled with chocolate syrup was the perfect way to end our meal. It was not too sweat and perfect! Overall the experience was great and we will definitely be coming back here when we are in Naples next time!! Worth the drive on the 75 from Fort Lauderdale!

Went based on Yelp reviews and so glad we went! Had the mariscos mixta (octopus, crab, and shrimp) and it was delicious! Really good fresh flavor! Ordered the swordfish grilled, asparagus, and yucca. Everything was great but more so the yucca that I ordered more! Had some flan for desert which was also very tasty. Nothing that we ordered was short of delicious. Definitely coming back!

AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! Everything was fresh and properly seasoned. The cook put a lot of effort into each dish and you could tell the quality. The waitress was very busy but she always made sure we were okay. We will certainly be back!

As usual when we are on vacation in a far away land (Naples), we refer to yelp for all of our dining experiences. This time yelp led us to Capt. Marco's and it did not disappoint. Being famous for being a Seafood/Cuban restaurant, my girlfriend and I shared the Grilled Lobster tail and a savory Churrasco (Skirt Steak). While the Grilled Lobster was small for the price, it was very succulent. The Churrasco was absolutely amazing - grilled to perfection and loaded with chimichurri sauce! Each plate came with two sides as well. We ordered mixed vegetables, rice and beans, fried yuca and boiled yuca. The fried yuca was some of the best yuca I've ever had (and I'm a Miami Cuban). Staff was also very friendly and accommodating as well. If you're passing through Naples, check out Capt. Marco's, you won't regret it!

Went for lunch - got a mahi mahi Caesar salad - excellent. Hubby got fried grouper sandwich - great. The place looks like a dive, but it is so good!

Came with my family of 7 and the seating is a little inconvenient because it is such a small place, but they helped make it work. We also called ahead of time to reserve a table. Before coming I read about the lobster bisque so of course I had to try it and it was great! Didn't really have pieces of lobster in it, but it was delicious. For appetizer we had the conch fritters which were delicious as well. Not too greasy, just perfect with a side of cocktail sauce. For the main course I had a skirt steak with a side of black beans and Caesar salad. The steak was delicious, but the beans lacked some flavor. The reason I can't give it 5 stars is because the service is kind of slow although it explains on the bottom of the menu that the food is cooked to order. Besides that, their bathrooms didn't have soap in the women's and no paper towel in the men's. It was nice try a new and different place, would recommend for smaller groups and maybe for lunch.

Fresh food and good service. Not giving 5 stars due to inconvenient seating for 5 or more people.

This is a diamond in the rough...spontaneously found myself here with a colleague for lunch. Surprise surprise! Between this and inca's kitchen Naples is rivaling Miami's Latin food these days. :)

Great service, great food, good prices, interesting decor - a great find near the Naples Government complex. Laura was our server, and was very helpful. Our party of 5 had no difficulties getting a long, convenient table (in contrast to another reviewer's experience). We had some grilled fish, some grouper tacos, soups, salads, and conch fritters. Every dish was great. Our party spanned ages from 24 to 84, and we were all very happy.

Decided to check this place out after the reviews on Yelp. As always, Yelp doesn't disappoint. It was delicious! We had the beer-battered grouper and blackened grouper sandwich, their specialty. The batter had a nice crunch and the blackened grouper had a nice amount of heat! This place has some of the best french fries ever! Service was great, wonderful and sweet waitress and the place has cool air conditioning to give you a little break from the heat. We also had flan which was so creamy and delicious. We're definitely planning on going back again before we leave Naples!

If I lived in Naples, I would eat here all the time. The inside was small, cool and blue, but we opted to sit outside. I had the garlic shrimp, and it was delicious. The sides were really great, too. The veggies were steamed with some spice. The sweet plantains were out of this world.

It seems we are trying a lot of places that appear to be dives but have great food. Capt. Marco's is almost that good. The conch fritters were very good, but the highlight appetizer was the mixed fish and shrimp ceviche. It was spicy, with a compelling blend of textures and flavors. The main dishes were a mixed bag, but mostly good. The shrimp in garlic and butter sauce was very tasty but lacked the garlic bite that would have made it great. The fried grouper was perfect in every way. The lobster creole was great, a killer that's sautéed in the shell. The snapper was good, but not special. The fried plantains were excellent and the mixed black rice and black beans were terrific as well. For dessert, our server pushed the fried cheesecake. It was a light ricotta style cheesecake and frying didn't approve it much, so we could have passed. The service was intense. Our server was great but he was so anxious to please us that he almost seemed needy. Overall, Capt Marco's is worth the trip and we'll go back.

Stopped in for dinner last week and it took over an hour for 2 Salmon Dinners. My wife got sick and the Salmon was really not fresh. Waitresses were embarrassed and confused by the Kitchen and were trying to be consoling. I normally try not to pick on Local places that are trying to make it in the off season, but this placed smelled like the vent system over the deep-fryer was backing up in the restaurant, bad food and expensive tab. We will never be back!!

Fish cevechie was fantastic.Out of tuna (bummer)I had grilled king fish(swordfish) it was very good.My wife had some fried platains that were great.Sevice was quick and attentve. On the downside, wait staff spent every available second( when not waiting on customers texting in plain sight of patrons) on their phones. One girl behind the counter never stopped the whole time we were there.Kind of looked bad, surely there were better things to do at work. Also was charged $4.00 for a bottle of Bud Light invoice said "import" when I questioned the waiter he said imports and domestic were the same price???Even so the food and service were good enough to try them again.

Saw this place on Groupon when I was visiting my parents so we decided to stop in on a rainy Saturday for lunch. We started with the mixed ceviche since it was highly recommended and it was very good...and not overly oniony which is why I dislike some ceviche I have had. I decided on the beer battered red snapper and got the lobster cilantro sauce on the side and ate every crumb! It was SO GOOD! I also got yellow rice and the table shared a side of the black rice and both were great! My nephew was talked into the Ironbeer by the waitress and he really like it! Apparently cant get it much outside of Miami! I would say if you are looking for great seafood with cuban accents in a relaxed environment you MUST try Captain Marcos!

Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant had a foul stench of. .. I'm not really sure what. Settled on an ice cold corona, an order of conch fritters and tostones (plantains). The fritters were overly salty, and had a strong taste of vinegar. The plantains were cut think and under cooked, with no crunch or crispyness. Glad I didn't waste any money ordering a whole meal

Place was OK, but after reading all the reviews below, I expected so much more. Waitress was aloof, our first two selections were not available, and it took 30 min to receive our appetizers. We ordered fish tacos, which again were OK, but I was expecting more. I would certainly like to try the rest of the menu, and I will be back, but not for the fish tacos.

Had driven by the restaurant several times and finally went in for lunch. Service was friendly and quick. When we arrived (around 11:30 a.m.) we were the only customers but there were several carry out orders called in while we dined. By the time we left a few more people came in, who were obviously regulars. The atmosphere is casual and laid back. The mixed seafood ceviche is the best I've ever had. The grouper tacos were very good but they were served with a choice of french fries or cole slaw which seemed odd. You could get beans and/or rice for an extra charge, which I would do if I order the tacos again. We will definitely go back. There were so many items from which to choose. This will more than likely become one of our regular places. Highly recommend it!

Went here at 8 pm on a Tuesday . it took 15 to get our drinks then the waitress didn't tell us she was out of clam chowder until she brought our main courses and apps out together! Despite the terrible service the food is amazing, fresh and we'll put together
