The service here is very efficient. We ordered a California roll, shrimp fried rice, the Massaman curry, miso soup and house salad. All were fresh and really good. I absolutely loved the roll best I have had so far since moving to Naples. The miso and massaman curry was a bit salty but good. The Massaman curry had cashews in it. It was my first time having it this way. I would try this restaurant again. Definitely will go back for sushi

As flavorful as the dishes I ordered were, I feel like my pad Thai was not made fresh at lunch today. I ordered a bento box with the shrimp tempura roll and beef pad thai. I had 3 small pieces of beef that tasted fresh. I've had A LOT of pad thai as my mom grew up in Thailand for 6 years. I know fresh pad thai verse reheated. The noodles were in pieces and sticky. I'm not sure how they do the shrimp but it was cold and old batter. Kind of disappointed for all the rave reviews. Maybe I got the leftovers...

Besides being a great place to hang with friends over sushi, Araya's claim to fame speaks through a bold menu of fresh sashimi, fresh vegetables, and great quality ingredients. Its "pre-quel", Fuji, also holds up to its local familiarity and fame. As much as customers can attest to its own product speaking for itself, the marketing of bringing something new and innovative to the Naples area is what caught my attention. How often have you heard the word "Omakase"? Prior to the power of Google, I assumed the word was derived from a certain area of Japan or something of that sort. However, attesting to my limited knowledge of Japanese, the word 'omakase' literally means 'respectfully leaving another to decide what is best'- or in other words - a menu selected by the chef. We were entrusting our palates to the mercy of a guest chef, Shigeki Kamio. It was not hard to, knowing that he has over 30 years of experience and is currently the executive chef at two five-star hotels: St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort and Setai Hotel at Miami Beach. Araya took advantage of an opportunity in season for the adventure-seekers to enjoy a menu not typically sought on this side of Florida. And they conquered it! The Omakase Dinner ran every Wednesday in season starting at 6:30, with $55 for six courses (with its last Wednesday being this week). Seating was around the sushi bar, so other patrons were not confused by the intrusion of an event. We had a colorful menu of both the familiar and the unknown, charting into the unexpected presented on a simple piece of paper. The descriptions were unassuming and the entire menu was paired with a list of recommended sake. We're quite partial to the unfiltered nigiri, but our friend recommended the Junmai Shu Aladdin. We had an impromptu lesson on the different grades of sake, and learned that the higher grades are always served cold. We also had the privilege of our sake being served in square bamboo boxes, even shared a little sample at the end with the chef and owners. Now onto the Bold and Beautiful: The menu resonated with tradition and new fusion. This go-round had a certain earthiness to the entire menu. Like a kid on Christmas Day, the wonder of what colors and textures were to come, overwhelmed me 6 times over with anticipation. Being one that finds sushi restaurants to be my happy place, I bank on presentation all the time. To slowly awaken the senses, we were graced with fresh sashimi - hamachi, mentaiki (cod roe), and maguro - accompanied with a few micro greens, ginger and radish. After a clean and light introduction, we were then greeted by nikujaga; a country-style slow cooked potato and short ribs served in a sweet and savory broth and accompanied with a lovely wasabi spicy mustard. The tender short ribs with the homely feel to the potato and broth became way too comfortable, until you had a tinge of the spicy mustard to kick your eyes wide open and release all that wonderful flavor enhancing all that is earthy. As we move three-deep in, we are then introduced to my favorite part of Araya: Their amazingly fresh tuna. It was prepared as tuna shigure-yaki - a seared fresh tuna with spicy red miso sauce, artfully presented and artfully seasoned. The fourth course brought us back to a lovely preparation of tempura; kiss fish, renkon and shungiku with a daikon dipping sauce. The variety provided some wonderful textures that take you away from what you think tempura should be. The renkon, which is lotus root, looks like a skeleton wheel with a similar consistency to a tougher cauliflower. Typically sliced thin and fried like chips, it was a thicker cut that provided a little more substance to the bite. Then, we tried the shungiku that was reminiscent of a larger parsley. We even sampled a raw version, and it almost acted like parsley being a neutral palate cleanser. After being rewarded with such wonderful gifts, we were presented with a yuzu miso sea bass with kinpira gobo. The yuzu was a nice contrast to brighten up the dish. The gobo, which is another root vegetable, played a nice role with a sweet and nutty flavor, but with a carrot-like texture. The texture of the sea bass melted like butter, but still withheld to everything else going on. The final round made its way as a lovely shrimp curry; Japanese-style with edamame rice and pickles. Strange and familiar. The sweet curry, the edamame like digging for the prize in a cereal box, and the luscious pieces of shrimp made me forget to take a picture of this wonderful dish. Maybe it's because I was already experiencing a wonderful hypersensory food drunkenness, and I swear it was not the sake! Do I have favorites? Perhaps. However, I feel like one dish couldn't exist without the other. My only small criticism is that we came on what might have been considered a "safe week". With the hype, I know that this will become another hit restarting in November. 24-2015

First time at Araya. My wife and I enjoy Japanese food so we've tried several restaurants in Naples. By far, this has been the best food we've had. I ordered the Sushi and my wife had the Bento box. Great quality, fresh fish, and prepared perfectly. We also had the Ceviche appetizer. If you like Ceviche, don't miss this. We'll be back and are committed to being regular customers. The wait staff was very attentive and in tune with customer satisfaction. We appreciate that effort. Thui, our waitress was terrific. Highly recommend.

Congratulations on earning 5 stars from this guy. I'm skeptical and leary of places with ratings this high (5) especially for new places with only 3-5 total reviews. Sadly I'm disappointed more often than less. Because of these inflated ratings, my expectations become equally high too. Jon Is both the Exec chef/GM. And wife On is the Operations Manager. So I garantee that you won't see your servers updating their FB/IG/Twitter. Good timing with the meal even during lunch time. Half of the restaurant was filled with plenty of spots at the sushi bar. Busy lunch crowds so we decided on a late lunch. 2-3:00 for Sunday. It's been pretty hectic with all the events going on since my last visit. I'm glad to report that consistently the food here has been way above my expectations for a newly opened location. Service was good with a party of two or party of 11. They also had a very good selection of appetizers or during lunch they call them small plates in the price range of $4-5 the apps we had ordered was grilled octopus $13+ with a variety of freshly grilled vegetables and pickled mixture. Spicy tuna nachos was a light and flavorful combination which can be a challenging thing to eat. I found it easily spread down with a fork, then I ate it like a nacho chip in 4-5 bites. Konisu sp? Was a cucumber wrapped crabbundle that has a combination of sweet and sour dressing easier scooped up onto a fork. All were very appetizing and light. My main course consisted of a build your own bento box $13. I think most everyone was satisfied with their own selections. I had both beef and chicken pad Thai traditional/hot It was very good. If you are lucky enough to save room for desert I recommend the Thai doughnuts the are very light sweet and come out hot on a plate with both strawberries and blueberries and condensed milk drizzle. Foo: 5 See some of the pictures. Eyes do not deceive your taste buds. Amb: 5 Modern clean new. Ser: 5 June took care of table very well. Loc: 5 Plenty of parking. Val: 4 Sunday has a lunch specials 5/2015

Araya must stand for "it's so good, I don't even know where to begin" in Thai. First of all, I have to thank the manager and our server for being so warm and attentive on Xmas Eve as they got ready for their staff party. They brought us a dessert order of Thai donuts to get us in a celebratory mood!! They were complex and delicious--with the hole left in to give an extra little bite! We thoroughly enjoyed the sushi rolls we ordered--the fish tasted premium and the flavors were distinctive and complemented each other well. Rainbow Dragon and Sex on the Beach were standouts! My mom thought the salmon teryaki was the best she had had in her whole life. It was very tender and delicious! Finally, the jumbo crab fried rice was wonderful with generous lumps of crab meat heaped on and only lightly fried to perfection. I visited Naples/Ft Myers for 10 days and this was one of the best, if not the best, meal I had.

We came here based on the reviews and it did not disappoint. I wish we would have come here sooner but now that we know we'll make sure we dine each time we visit Naples. We ordered : Spring Rolls, Edamame, Miso Soup. To start out. We brought our two year old with us she had kids Soba noodles with chicken. As for the rolls we had Spicy Tuna, Rainbow, Rainbow Dragon, Sex on the Beach. The Rainbow Dragon was the best but they all where amazing!!!! We will be back! I really want to try the Pad Thai next time. The service was amazing. They where super accommodating to our daughter and infant.

Sorry, I guess I will be the first to break the 5 star streak. Since I have been in Naples I keep coming across Thai sushi restaurants and come back with the same thing almost every time.......they aren't as good as Japanese sushi places. Outside of FL I have never seen the combination of Thai and sushi. The sushi wasn't bad, but I won't go back. So far the only Thai sushi place that has impressed me was Komoon on Bonita Beach. One of the rolls here at Araya left a very fishy taste.

Top notch for strip mall fare. Red Curry w/chix, cashew chix, massaman curry w/tofu and SST roll all yummy. Free karaage chix appetizer and check-in potstickers accompanied by plum wine started the evening for our group. Our server, Pinky, was very attentive and made good recommendations along with her "prankster tolerant" sense of humor. Don't forget the dessert. Green tea cheesecake and thai doughnuts. IMHO you will be hard pressed to find a table during snowbird season.

Yet another 5-star review and for good reason. Wow. Amazing at Araya in Uptown! The reviews (on Yelp) are spot on. Awesome course to course, great service and location! Started with steamed potstickers (Yelp offer), then to the daily special of the Lobster Lobster roll, next to green curry with fried rice (yes) and house special (beef, chicken and shrimp). Probably would have picked just 1 meat knowing what I know now. Finish off with Thai donuts and life is awesome. Just go there already!

Typical place you passed by a thousand times and never go in. Excellent service. The food was good and the portions were a little big bigger than expected. The ambience is excellent. Quiet enough for a romantic dinner but still good for groups. Highly recommended.

You will not regret coming to this restaurant; every single plate is prepared fresh with truly elegant presentation. The prices are reasonable and they even have the Sunday special where you can choose from a menu of $7 plates. The sushi and entrees offered in this menu are high quality and delicious every single time. There is a wide selection of sushi, sashimi, entrees soups salads and desserts so every single person in the family can have a delightful dinner. The miso soup here is always cooked to perfection, and never salty like at other places. The steamed pot stickers are a favorite appetizer of mine to start out. If you opt for the regular plates I recommend the bento box, which will give you a nice variety of different dishes, or the sashimi lover, always prepared fresh and with great little layouts each time. My favorite rolls so far are the himachi-chili roll (a little spicy and raw, with cilantro for an extra kick) and the blue crab and Mexican rolls (for when I want something cooked). The Thai donuts for dessert are the best in town!!! So good, you won't want to stop! Also they are generously portioned, and definitely worth every penny! Another dessert favorite would be the tempura cheesecake, which I always get with a scoop of the green tea ice cream. The ice cream is not overwhelmingly sweet and the fried cheese cake is to die for! As everything else in this restaurant the presentation of the dessert plates are impeccable. Aside from the great value of the food, staff is always attentive and pleasant. They always greet you as you come in and as you are leaving. Needless to say service is always amazing, with courteous waitresses who always bring out the food quickly. I am glad to say that I am a regular here and that's due to the fact that the staff makes me feel welcomed and appreciated every single time.

Went there with my family, sushi rolls was okey, Thai dishes are not authentic, Pad Thai was overly to sweet for me.

Superlative, in every way! I attended an omakase dinner. Omakase is Japanese for "leave it to another." Which is what we diners did. The creative chef brought in for the occasion, along with the care and hospitality provided by owners On and Jon in their lovely, lively restaurant, provided an exhilerating experience. The menu unfurled, treating us to one perfectly crafted dish after another. An Uni shooter made with Hotate scallop with a side of Mtcha salt; Stuffed squid soup with diced daikon; Ika Mentaiko (squid accompanied by pressed, spiced roe); Kampachi Sashimi made from Japanese Almaco Jack, garnished with orange-ginger sauce; Garlic Sea Bass, fired with a torch and placed atop sautéed gobo (Japanese burdock root); Summer somen noodles with eggplant miso; Green tea ice cream topped with red bean. Domo arigato!

Great place that I would have never found without Yelp. Food was very fresh - our waitress told us they filleted our tuna just hours before we came in to eat. Sometimes at sushi places the food looks great but the taste doesn't live up to expectations; not here - everything we had was plated so nicely and the freshness and flavors totally lived up to great presentation. You can tell that the preparation and selection of ingredients was done with intentionality. Great place for a first date - intimate, sort of chic, but casual too. Great place for people who are trying out sushi or Thai for the first time - it's nice but not pretentious and the menu is full of options and a variety of flavors. Start to finish from salad to apps to the main course to the service of the staff everything was so great.

I really cannot say enough about this place. Decided to check it out based on all the amazing reviews. I went in with high expectations and they were met, above and beyond. Initially I want so sure. Shortly after being seated we were asked to move. The hostess made a mistake and sat us next to a reserved table, they thought they may also need our space. We had no problem moving and they were very friendly and appreciative, but was already deducting one star in my mind. There was also a very long wait for our food, three sushi rolls. So again in my mind four stars. And there weren't even very many people initially. Although that changed quickly as people started pouring in. One thing I want to mention, which didn't bother me, as the children were well behaved, but yes LOTS of kids. Not sure if that's a regular here? Anyway I'm ending on the best note ever! Complimentary miso soup for the wait. Didn't mind waiting at that point especially because the miso soup was very flavorful, kinda salty (which I like) and lots of tofu! They also gave us 10% off our check for our willingness to switch tables. What?! What great customer service. Accompanied with a heart felt apology. Wow!!! And lastly- sushi was amazing! Ordered the salmon avocado, salmon was super fresh and I loved the simplicity of it following the Picante roll. Ayayay, spicy! I know your thinking, well obviously. And ok ok maybe I'm just getting weak, whatever. Wouldn't order it again but it was absolutely delicious. Our last roll was the Rainbow roll, again, amazing. Sometimes I wish I had a bigger descriptive vocabulary. I'll work on that. Anyway, my bf and I can't wait to come back :)

WOW WOW WOW.... Great food unbelievable service! My Mom and I went for lunch, I had the country basil chicken, and she had the volcano sauce with chicken! The portion where plenty and the presentation was absolutely beautiful. The restaurant is very clean and beautiful inside.... The sushi bar is impeccably clean! Can't wait to come back for a sushi dinner! Definitely a gem right here on Immokalee road!

Overall, very good experience. We ordered the Spring Rolls (via a check-in offer) and the Spicy Tuna Nachos as appetizers. The spring rolls were nice and crispy and the tuna nachos were DELICIOUS. Fish was fresh and the wonton nacho light and crunchy. I would go back for those alone. We ordered the Lobster Tempura roll but the lobster was overcooked. The waitress was considerate and apologetic. We ordered a different roll, and we were not charged for the lobster roll. Instead, we were later given a complimentary dessert from the kitchen for the inconvenience. It was a respectable way to treat your customers considering the situation. Would return!

This is basically Fuji Sushi in another location. I've always enjoyed their menu. Lots of great Thai dishes and good sushi. It's getting really expensive though. Seems like every time I go by bill grows.

The atmosphere was very calm! We were the only ones there when we went for lunch and it was delicious! We got the potstickers (steamed) and the edamame as appetizers. I recommend both! I also got the Tuna California roll and it was very good and fresh!

Favorite Sushi spot in Naples. The food is wonderful and I don't think my drink has ever gotten less than half full before someone asked if I would like more. Great food and great service, enough said.

This place gets five stars AND five gold forks. Fantastic tasty food, great atmosphere, priced right, portions are perfect, friendly staff with plenty of smiles and they should smile, they are doing sushi right. You won't be disappointed. Come try the savory wonton soup, the delicious shrimp rolls and some sashimi, your palate will be well pleased.

I live in west Texas, so whenever I travel to the beach I can't wait to enjoy fresh sushi. I ordered the 50/50 roll and I couldn't decide which half of the roll was more delicious. My parents aren't huge sushi fans so this was a perfect place to eat as they also have delicious thai, curry & chinese meals. The menu is so huge everyone can find something they'll enjoy. And usually large menus means everything's just okay but everything we ordered was amazing!

Go here. You know how you eat somewhere and you can tell they have good taste and really care about what they do..? Well this is one of those gems. They are a newer restaurant at the time (6 months I think) but they seem thoroughly devoted to quality. Even down to their interior design.. Everything seems well thought out and tastefully modern. I'm not the guy to ask about Asian quisine... but everything I have ordered there has been surprisingly great (simply because I'm not a huge fan.. Or maybe rather an ignoramus of Asian food culture.. Lol). I have never before had an Asian restaurant i actually crave later on. I found myself eating items i normally wouldn't ever order.. Just to see if they can make something I really don't like. I am not the kind of guy who loves his veggies.. but this place seems to get really fresh high quality ingredients and then puts some real love into them. So for me this place truly rocks just on that count! Their fried shrimp are the best i can remember. Really stand out! Clean light taste and ready for any of their sauces.. or great on their own. The volcano sauce is to date my favorite. Their duck in the Duck bun appetizer was fantastic and tender. Also tried the lobster crunch which is kinda like lobster calamari.. enjoyed it. All the sauces have a quality to them. Not just the mayo-add-ingredient type. (or their just doing it better than any place I've been to before).. We have been several times now and like I said i keep trying new things that have been all great. No sushi or sashimi though yet.. but i can almost gaurantee you that the next time I give some new kinds a try.... it will be here. To the owner.. Well done... and if you maintain the quality at this point.. You guys still forever be in my favs!!!

Araya's sushi is very good. I have visited multiple times and enjoyed it every time. I have tried the 50/50 roll which was on their special menu and it was great. 1/2 eel 1/2 tuna. Fresh and delish. From the Happy hour menu which is mon-fri 3-6 : the salmon and avocado roll is great, wakami salad, spring rolls, rangoons, as well as the yakatori selection to name a few items are all delish. They always have a check in deal on yelp and Facebook and it's something different every time Ive visited which is nice. I appreciate the quality of the service as well as the fact that they are always pleasant. Great quality food.

We were passing through Naples and wanted something good but not too far off the interstate. We passed this on our way to something else, and the Yelp reviews were great so we decided to check it out. We went on a Sunday night and they had awesome $7 deals for all day Sunday. We ordered the Naples roll (two of these actually) with Tilapia Tempura and it was really good. The best part was the spicy tuna roll. They didn't scrimp at all on the amount of Tuna and it was VERY fresh. Fast service, good prices, delicious food. Too bad we don't live closer.

My family and I went here last night and it was amazing! My brother had ordered sushi from the Sunday Special side and it was delicious (We all shared our food)! My father had gotten the Mongolian beef, which was great as well. My mother had ordered the Yakisoba and since she is a vegetarian, she ordered it with tofu. At first when my parents saw her dish, they thought it looked plain and was going to order something else for her. My father even started eating some of it so she wouldn't be full when she orders another meal. Guess what? It was delicious and my father stopped eating it so she can finish it on her own! She also ordered the veggie roll which was good. My sisters ordered the red curry (delicious! but not spicy, which was no problem since we just added red chili) and the grilled steak (Very good but the vegetables were a bit plain and the portions weren't very large). My fiancee ordered the grilled shrimp, which I have the same opinion as my sister's grilled steak. I ordered half a duck with garlic sauce. It was great! Again, I expected there to be a bit more, since that is what I am used to around this area. At the end we ordered the green tea ice cream and cheesecake. I am not a fan of green tea flavored items so I didn't try it. However, my mom, dad, fiancee, sister and her boyfriend loved it! I would recommend anyone here! The place is small but we came at about 8:40pm ish so they were able to accommodate all of us without a problem. I would def call ahead for large parties though.

I went to eat at the sushi bar for the first time. The service was quick, the house glass of wine generous and well priced. The sushi combo was big but good. The presentation was on an original wood boat. I wish they could make a smaller sushi combo with 6 pieces. The sushis are well calibrated and small, the rice is perfectly cooked and not hard. The sashimi pieces are a bit too big and should be cut in smaller pieces. Overall the restaurant is quiet, class and well decorated. The service is excellent. I will come back.

Lived in Naples 14 yrs and been to them all. Aryana is by far the freshest and highest quality sushi/sashimi in Naples. Although menu looks standard, the preparations are unique and much more tasty than expected. Immaculate on the inside with very nice qualified staff. You can't go wrong here.

Went here for dinner for a friend's birthday and really enjoyed the vibes. I got a bento box, which for a little over $20 was more than enough food. It came with a miso soup and ginger salad, and then I chose sashimi, a sushi roll, and Mongolian beef for the box. Everything was delicious and I left the restaurant full and happy, after entering the restaurant "hangry". You could tell how dedicated the chef/owners are to the success of this place, as they'd come around to each table and say a quick hello. Very friendly people and a perfect sushi place for you and your friends.

Sashimi was very good, especially the white tuna and salmon. Other dishes were fine. Fried potstickers were standard goyza style, octopus did not have much octopus, nachos were inventive but heavy on sauce.

I've gotta start off my saying I am biased and come from New York City where the sushi is pretty good. I was a little put off when I first looked at the menu and saw they charge $10 for a spicy tuna roll, I was slightly more put off when I saw a California roll was over priced as well. Note my disclaimer these cost more than in New York City. We had a tuna nacho appetizer that wasn't bad. When the sushi arrived it was just OK, and chefs choice of peices accompanying the sushi for two was almost half tuna. The curry dish I ordered arrived under seasoned even though i asked for spicy (3 out of 4). The The final nail in the coffin is when the waitress knocked over our sake and refilled it from a bottle we already purchased. The food was not as good as the decor and the wait staff tried, but I won't be coming back.

I stopped in for some sushi today at around 4pm. Made the decision because of the good reviews and also through word of mouth by some coworkers of mine at nearby Tiburon GC & The Ritz-Carlton. Ordered the Lobster flake appetizer and two rolls. Everything was excellent....priced well too, IMO. Service was fast, atmosphere ok as well. I will visit this place often, for a variety of reasons. Enjoyed Araya and I'd highly recommend it.

Another favorite of mine. Close to my home and next to my gym. Friendly staff and tasty fish. Himachi sashimi melts in my mouth. Tom kha soup with the perfect blend of spice and coconut with a plentiful amount of tender vegetables. Lycée sake! Cozy inside. Looking forward to trying more of their sashimi.

My wife and I returned for a second dinner, but brought our two kids, this time. Nothing changed since the last time we were there, which was yesterday. Once again, the service was impeccable. In addition to the excellent Duck Bun appetizer, we tried the Rock Shrimp and the Grilled Octopus. The Rock Shrimp was good, but appeared to be and tasted like it was made with regular shrimp. The Grilled Octopus was very good, although I would have preferred slightly more of a char on the octopus. We all had sushi or sashimi, which was very good, but my daughter tried the Pad Thai with Crispy Duck special, which was excellent, with truly crispy duck. We also tried the Green Tea Crème Brûlée, this time. While it was very good for crême brûlée, I couldn't really taste the green tea in it. However, that might have been because I had been enjoying my always-filled iced green tea during the entire meal.

On vacation, my wife and I use Yelp often. This place was well rated, so we have it a try. We were very pleased. Its in a strip mall, but once you go through the for, you don't have that sense. The decor is tasteful. The ambiance is very nice. Music in the background. Very clean. The menu well laid out. The choices are excellent. And then there is the food. Very fresh. Very tasty. Excellent experience overall!

One of the best sushi places I have experienced here in Naples, FL. Everyone has all of these recommendations and I've tried them but this one has blown them all out of the water. Great selection on the menu. Staff was friendly and immensely kind. Look forward to coming back when I return on business!

First time there this evening. The food was delicious and the service was even better! They were even attentive to my toddler son by talking to him and giving him crayons and a table setting to color on. A server came by very often to refill our water and soda. I hope to have a chance to pay another visit the next time I am in town.

I was eager to come today for lunch and enjoy sushi here as I knew it would be good given that the owners also own Fuji Sushi. I was definitely NOT disappointed. My friend and I both had the Sushi Boat which had not only a California roll and 6 pieces of sushi, but 9 pieces of sashimi as well, in addition to a bowl of Miso soup (or salad). I usually order the Bento Box which is also amazing giving a little but of everything but today was strictly sushi/sashimi. I would highly recommend this place for dinner as well. I asked if reservations are necessary and was advised not during the week, but strongly recommended on the weekends. Anyone wanting good FRESH sushi should come here or go to,their sister location, Fuji on Naples Blvd (close to Costco).

Seriously amazing food! This is the second location they have opened. The first being Fuji Sushi Asian Bistro which is also amazing. Being a sushi lover I can say they have the best sushi you will enjoy. Great menu and staff.
