Met my friend at Alpine restaurant for lunch on a Sunday because she claimed the Cobb salad with Chicken was the best salad in town. It really was! Perfect fresh salad with lots of vegetables, thick bacon slices on top, perfectly seasoned and cooked chicken and a delicious dressing. I felt the price was very reasonable for the large, high quality salad I received. I can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu. There were hardly any people in the restaurant while we were there for lunch so I'm hoping more people learn about this gem of a restaurant.

We found this on yelp and decided to try it out. We had a bit of a time finding it but thankfully there was a sign at the corner stop. The food was a bit more pricey than we expected but not outrageous. There were very few people there on Sunday night. The food was very good and definitely large portions. We had great service and even took home leftovers. The schnitzel was delicious an the Ted cabbage was a bit strong with garlic (not sure if that is how it is supposed to be). The spaetzel and bratwurst was good too.

Had a wonderful meal here the other night. Portion sizes are large, prices are great, and the food was perfectly prepared. Crepes for dessert are a must. Only suggestion - They weren't busy (only one other table) and we requested a larger table for the two of us, but were told they were reserved for larger parties. There was someone else who came in after us and requested a larger table as well, but was told the same thing. Because of this, I thought about leaving before ordering, but I'm glad we stayed. In the future, I would suggest they let customers set wherever they like, unless they are truly busy.

Excellent restaurant recommended by a local long time friend and we went together. Best German food I have eaten including trips to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Quick attentive service at our pace. Affordable. You'll love it.

Day 2 and fabulous is going strong... I hope that more people find this hidden treasure in Naples. Loved every bite... Didn't take photos since all have been posted. Enjoy I sure did and I wish they were in Orlando!

This was such a wonderful surprise. One never knows what lurks in a strip mall these days. We were greeted by the host/owner Alex, who was very friendly and allowed us to pick a table, since it was quiet that night. Wanted to try the famous sauerkraut soup, but decided to focus on the schnitzel, since it was rumored to be quite a large meal. Good choice. I had the Jagerschnitzel, which is served with a wonderful, light creamy mushroom sauce. I could have drunk about a pint of that sauce, it was soooooo good! Perfectly lightly breaded and fried pounded-tender pork, with the best homemade spaetlzle i've had in a restaurant. Others in party had the "KPZ", which is like a savory braised pork roast, served with incredibly fluffy dumplings and sauteed cabbage, and the Weinerschitzel, another version of the tender pork breaded dish, with yummy red cabbage and creamy mashed potatoes. Overall, the service, decor, and food were all amazing, and I can't wait to come back and try the soup, the coffees and the pastries.

I stopped by this restaurant with my family while on our way to our local destination in Naples. It was a short way off rt 75 and we were seated immediately. They have a great menu with a lot of traditional European selections. The one item I missed on the menu was a traditional pork shank - I think that would fit well with the other offerings. The service was quick and the meals were well prepared and presented. Everything was fresh and flavorful, with a good portion at a fair price. We all enjoyed our meals, with no suggestions for improvement. I especially enjoyed my goulash! I will be sure to visit Alpine Restaurant the next time I am in town.

My favorite restaurant in Naples! We've been going to Alpine since it was called Bistro Europa on 951. It's family operated, the husband/father runs the counter, his wife cooks everything from scratch, and I'm pretty sure the waiter/waitress are their children. The atmosphere and location are good as is the service. The food is second to none! If I have any complaint about the food, it's made from scratch, so they only make so much each day. For instance, I usually order pierogies but if I come late, they're sold out. Not to worry, everything on the menu is good. My favorite is the sauerkraut soup, the pierogies, and the crepes are outstanding! Six stars!

I dragged my coworkers off the beaten path to try something new for lunch. It was very quiet and I believe we were one of two tables being served. It had an unsettling kind of quiet. It had more of a formal feel to it rather than an inviting relaxing family-style feel (which I think represents their menu choices.) I was at first very impressed with the menu. It was nice to see an array of German, Czech and Hungarian food! I ordered the feinschmecker (gourmet) potato pancake. It was topped with chicken liver and bacon in a tomato/pepper sauce. It looked like it had been cooked nicely; however, it seemed like it was dense and oily, as if it was not made to order. Even though the menu called for it to be served with applesauce and sour cream, I had to go out of my way to ask for sour cream. This would be anyone's first choice with a savory potato pancake. Thinking it was a turn for the worst....redemption?! My coffee! It's been years since I had some real german/european coffee. It was a full sensory experience for me. It was served a tray with a little piece of chocolate. The coffee was full-bodied, had the right temperature and had a little dab of foam. This soothed my whole experience. I will change my rating when I have dinner here and try more of the menu. If I do come back here for lunch, I will have to stick to a dessert crepe and order coffee again :)

Had the pork with sweet cabbage and my wife had the bratwurst with traditional cabbage. Both homemade and awesome! How great to have this great little Czech restaurant in North Naples. Just a wonderful and unexpected addition. We will be back

Growing up in Milwaukee I'm very familiar with German restaurants that being a city with a strong German tradition. This is one of the best German restaurants I've ever been in the Viener schnitzel was phenomenal as were the Caesar salad, potatoes with bacon and onion and the sauerkraut. I would highly recommend this place. Good service with an old world feel.

Stopped in last night with my family (7) for dinner at Alpine restaurant after taking in a movie. With German/Austrian grandparents, I have grown up with roasts, schnitzel, spaetzle and the like, but the food at Alpine was exceptional nonetheless. The menu is simple without feeling limited and offers a variety of sandwiches, salads/soups and specialties (entrees). I ordered the chicken Paprikash and absolutely loved it; the chicken was fall of the bone, the paprikash sauce was thick and flavorful, without being heavy or overpowered by the paprika, and the Spaetzle were light, fluffy and delicious. Overall, an exceptional meal that just oozed homemade, fresh and honest from start to finish. Finally, the desserts are to die for; we shared one (huge!) apfelstruedel with ice cream and it was delectable! The service was fantastic; we were waited on by the owner, Alex, who has a hilarious and engaging sense of humor and an intense pride in his home county and cuisine. The location is, yes, a strip mall, but the restaurant itself is impeccably clean, simple and light - with paintings of alpine scenes from across central Europe adorning the walls. I would highly recommend Alpine to anyone looking for a hidden gemright here in northern Naples!

We came here at about 8:30 with a party of four adults and a 4year old.as we walked in the last couple left the restaurant . The gentleman that served us was very polite and friendly even thou we came at such a late time. We looked online and the menu and knew what we were gonna order as soon as we set down. We went for the Slovakien Schnitzel, the Bratwurst and the Goulash. We are from New York and know ethnic food very well. We eat out a lot. I can tell you that this was one of the best meals we had in Florida for 100 bucks in the 5-6 times we have been in Florida. Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Marco Island..... They cook with pride and love and use good ingredients. Just the kind of food you wish to eat. Thank you for the nice meal and Bon appetite to the once that will read this review!

A small quite beautiful restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. A huge variety of meals for those who like to try new things as well as those with a more conservative palate. Their soups are out if this world!

Cute little European restaurant hidden in the middle of the Shoppes at Vanderbilt. My family and I went here for dinner. Only a few other tables, the restaurant was relatively quiet. I expected the place to be more rustic and country feeling, but it was actually quite modern and clean. The staff was nice and attentive. Lots of fresh coffee refills! The coffee also comes with sparkling water and chocolate to refresh your palette. I think my favorite part of the meal was the soups! Each one was homemade and delicious! The soup temperature was super hot!! I hate when restaurants serve just warm soup, but nope... Alpine's is piping hot!!! The goulash soup had healthy portions of meat. The broth really brings out a rich savory paprika flavor. Sauerkraut Soup was my favorite! Creamy with the intense smoked flavor from the meat. The chicken soup is worth trying too. Potato pancakes are decent. Kinda more on the gooey side, when I prefer it a little crispier. It comes with sour cream and apple sauce. I had the svieckova (no clue how to pronounce that). It was a piece of beef sirloin drowning in gravy and garnished with a dollop cranberry sauce. If you're a gravy fan...You'll love it... This older gentleman ordered the same thing the next table over. He kept raving how delicious it was. The best thing he's ever had. It came with fluffy dumplings. It reminds me of the Chinese xiaolongbao bread, if you know what that is. Good to dip in the gravy. The crepes were okay... Don't think I'll be ordering one again.

Upon arrival we were seated quickly. However, we had to wait quite a while for our waiter to even notice us. Meanwhile two young men came in after us. They were seated and immediately given menus. We were about to get up and leave when our waiter, a very pleasant young man, finally came to our table. The two male diners were served and done before our entrees even arrived. We wanted to order a potato pancake, but in spite of the menu's promise of 'Served All Day Long', they were out of them, surprising because it was early evening. My husband ordered the goulash and I had the chicken paprikas. Both entrees came swimming in sauce. Ordinarily I wouldn't care, except both were very bland. My entree was the better of the two which isn't saying much since both were subpar. We won't be going back after this first impression. I do have to say that our waiter, who was very young, was the best thing about our dining experience. He was very sweet, a little inept, but learning the ropes. I grew up with this kind of food and know the difference between good and bad paprikas and goulash. The menu boasts, 'The Real Taste of Europe'...I hope this isn't true. I guess my grandmother spoiled me.

Had a decent dinner tonight at Alpine. I am going to call it "homestyle German cooking" because the portions, presentation and overall experience was really reminiscent of comfort food. The menu was just the right size, not too large, which gives the hope that they can really focus on what they are making instead of trying to do too many styles and dishes at once. We started with soup, warm and hearty pea with grilled kielbasa and sauerkraut soup that was smoky and tangy. Standard, run of the mill soup bowls and big soup spoons. Some fresh bread slices with butter. Dinner was Goulash, sauce was great, meat was a little dry from overcooking, but not terrible. Potato latke with grandma's chicken was a tangy, surprise dotted with caraway and almonds. Again, dinner was served on regular kitchen ware, nothing fancy. I do believe that the majority of the meal was from scratch, and it really showed. Honest cooking. Crepes finished them meal and they were made fresh right in front of us. We both had soup, dinner, coffee and shared and dessert and took another home for the kiddo and got out of there for $70. Pretty good deal in Naples. Will return. Only complaint is that they were clearly understaffed but somehow the single server they had pulled it off. Not sure if this is a pattern, since we've only been there once, but just a fair warning. I did notice some tables were lacking a little attention. Server herself was very nice and clearly experienced.

The Slovak Goulash soup tasted like it was home made--absolutely wonderful! The Cobb Salad with grilled chicken had a first class presentation....but the surprise for me was that the vegetables were at room temperature and tasted like they'd been fresh-picked. I found out that the tomatoes were from one of the local farmers markets--a treat indeed! (It seems that most tomatoes served in restaurant salads are ice cold and have no taste.) The apple streudel was very light and tasty. Atmosphere was friendly, ambience was warm. This place will become one of my regulars!

Love this place! The schnitzel is the best. I had the chicken noodle soup last night and it was to die for. One of the cleanest restaurants in FL and a charming ambiance too! I highly recommend it.

We did not expect to find Czech food in Naples. But when I read about Alpine Restaurant in a local magazine, I knew we had to seek it out -- even it was a bit out of our way. We arrived in mid-afternoon and had good service as there were few other customers at that time of day. I opted for the Slovak Schnitzel while DH had the roast pork, dumplings, and cabbage. Loved the very tender schnitzel which came with mashed potatoes and a very generous serving of cucumbers and tomatoes on the side. DH found his entree was close to his mom's home cooking. Our Pilsner Urquells were perfect thirst quenchers. We ended our meal with espresso -- served in traditional European style on a small tray with a small glass of sparkling water on the side. I was disappointed that the apple strudel was sold out -- not that I really had room for it. I settled for a butter cookie that was drenched in powdered sugar. It was a nice accompaniment to the espresso. Pleasant, European decor. Two thumbs up for Alpine. I really hope the word gets out on this delightful restaurant.

Food was very good - go and support this local business. Potato pancake and wiener schnitzel were both great. Good service & huge portions. Prices very reasonable for quality of food. Not stuffy and very friendly. Skip all the overpriced Italian food in Naples and go to Alpine.
