Great little casual restaurant in downtown Monticello, Fla., near court house. Had pulled pork sandwich and fries. Very good. Others in party had club sandwich, pasta salad, and entree salad. All looked great. Staff was friendly and prompt. Prices were very reasonable.

This is a small quaint restaurant in an old downtown. We wanted to try breakfast but they are only open for a few hours on Sunday. The food was great! We had the ribs with the dry rub and they had a good flavor and the meat was very tender. The young lady that waited on us was so very sweet and kind! Great place to eat and explore a quaint old time downtown area. We are traveling through town and stopped in the area for only a few days. But it was worth our time.

This place is the definition of a hole in the wall. I loved the local vibe that was going on. The food came very fast, which I loved. I ordered the Zingers, which are chicken fingers covered in buffalo sauce, and they were outstanding!!! This place is kid friendly, including food for the kids. The seating is limited but that's another reason to come on down to a great restaurant!

If you happen to be in Monticello, this is one you need to try. Old school, diner atmosphere. Great selection of good, fresh food. Friendly staff. My son loved the "zingers". Would definitely come back!

If you are in Monticello I recommend you eat here. Friendly service, excellent home cooked food, and made to order. The grits were delicious and not overly salty. The bacon tasted amazing and was cooked perfectly, crispy but not over cooked. Our eggs were also cooked just right. All ingredients tastes fresh. The coffee is that great tasting diner coffee that you cannot find in Keurig or home brew. The staff will go out of their way to make sure you are happy, and they do it with a genuine smile. Thanks for the great food and the friendly service today folks. We can't wait to visit again the next time we are in town!

Monticello is a small town with beautiful historic homes and like too many, small historic towns sadly appears to be in an economic downturn. A lot of empty storefronts and not much going on in town when I visited in January.. A couple of cafes in town seemed to be very busy, though, and I just picked this one by chance. It was full of locals who all seemed to be enjoying themselves. I had a grilled chicken and fried green tomato sandwich and salad, an interesting idea for a sandwich and it was delicious. The chicken was moist and perfectly grilled, along with the fried green tomato, cheese and a tasty sauce with dill (I believe) on a fresh sandwich roll. The green salad was great also. The staff was friendly and helpful and I at first thought my waitress was a little slow in bringing my check until I realized that I needed to walk up to the front and tell them what I ordered. That was a new experience for me, but it makes sense in a small cafe in a small town where everyone knows each other. I would definitely recommend a stop here if you are driving thru Southern Georgia to Florida.

Exceeded my expectations for perfect BBQ. I would go out of my way to go back. The smoked wings had a slight crunch on the skin yet were moist inside. The Q sauce was vinegar based, my favorite. The side salad had a generous amount of spring greens topped with dried cranberries, sliced almonds and crumbled cheese. The balsamic dressing had a slight spicy tang not too sweet. Excellent!

Stopped in for lunch on the way home for lunch and we both had the special, amberjack sandwich with fried green tomatoes. It was really good. Meal for two with drink came to $21.79 with tax. They have a private room in the back for larger parties. Serve breakfast and lunch on Sunday's. Would highly recommend. Lunch was served by the chef, probably the owner and he also came back out to check how we liked the amberjack, which was a large portion served on a hot kaiser roll. Service was timely and friendly.
