Let me first state that I am from Brooklyn, New York and very spoiled in the Chinese culinary world. Chinese food is something that I am very picky about and when I sat down in Star Garden I was amazed by the similarity even though this restaurant is 1300 miles away from New York. The food is fresh, delicious, and amazingly cheap. For the amount you pay, the quantity and quality of the meal is astounding. I couldn't ask for anything else; however, there are a few things I would like to mention. As many others have stated, the location is terrible. When I parked, I felt eyed down and had a wonderful choice of going to eat at Star Garden or getting myself a couple of souvenirs at the Rastafarian shop! Luckily, I chose right and went to this amazing Chinese restaurant. Parking, location, and the overall area is very bad; however, when it comes to yelp I believe we need to look at the food more than its surroundings and the food tastes GREAT! 5 STARS! Recommendation: I ordered their Chicken Wings, Crab Rangoons, and Wonton Soup. They were all delicious and would highly recommend the Crab Rangoons!

Delicious food , always fresh and super hot! The general taos chicken is amongst the best ive ever had! And lets not leave out their crab ragoons! Amazing! This isnt your typical new york style chinese. They are hispanic/chinese so the taste is different and unique to most chinese youve tasted. Awesome people that work there, always attentive and nice. Highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy some good local chinese!

Good fresh food that is cooked to order, but horrid location. I usually go with someone to drop them off and try to pick up them up when the order is ready as there is no parking space. The lunch specials are not an option for delivery so you are forced to go back into that ghetto plaza to get the special. Its next to a reggae t shirt shop that blast their music non stop. UPDATE: I've gone over to Number One Wok in stirling road publix plaza. China star is also a good alternative.

If i could give this place a half star that would be an act of kindness. First off they got my wife's order wrong instead of white rice they gave her pork fried rice..no biggie right? wrong.. the rice they sent was burnt. The food was delivered luke warm and the food was tasteless and seemed old, like it was cooked this afternoon and served after a quick zap with the microwave. Horrible don't waste your money.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
