I came here once because I was taking my daughter to Panda Express which is next door. It caught my attention and decided to check them out. I got really excited when I saw that they have Cheese Whiz as a cheese option for your steak sub! I tried it but it was just ok. A little better than a subway steak and cheese but not even close to a Hungry Bear steak and cheese sub.

When I first came in I was greeted and a very friendly lady took my order. I ordered the 9inch cheesesteak lunch special ($12 w/ small fries & drink) The place was practically empty with one person eating in the dining area. I waited for about 10-15 min which to me was a little bit too long being that the place was empty. Now the food itself was just OK. The fries reminded me of Burger King, nothing special. I ordered my cheesesteak with onions and provolone, there was not much flavor. I put on the pepper relish and that barely made it better. The bread itself was pretty good though nice and soft but still. Needless to say I was a little disappointed. For the price I paid I was expecting a lot more. This place has a lot of potential especially since it JUST opened, but they need to season the food more. The customer service was excellent though, I can't complain! I really hope it was just an off day because I was so excited to have a cheesesteak joint so close to my house.

Excellent cheesesteak. Had the large triple threat: delicious and very filling. Super friendly staff and clean environment. Highly recommended.

Ok I'll make it quick, the Philly Cheesesteak was delicious, soft, tender and juicy, problem is they're a bit stingy with the portion. The bread is nothing special which shows the lack of attention to detail and the fries are ordinary plain fries. The service was friendly and fast and the prices are somewhat high for what you're getting. I doubt I'll be back. More bread than steak is never good.

This new spot is right next to Panda Express so I decided to give it a try. The place was empty but the staff were very friendly. I went ahead and ordered the bar-b-que cheesesteak, onion rings, and a drink. It came out to $17 geez!!! After that price I was praying the food was at least good. Well the cheesesteak was DELICIOUS. Very flavorful, and had plenty of meat. But the onion ring were burnt! I paid $4.50 for burnt onion rings. Needless to say I was extremely upset. If I do go back I won't bother ordering sides.

Our leadership team met here and had a blast. We ordered everything from the Philly cheese subs, hamburgers, and even the black bean burger. No one had one complaint. This is a great spot for a quick delicious meal.

Being from up north I was skeptical they'd actually bring the bread from the tristate. (NY/NJ/PA Bread is superior to probably everywhere else in the country thanks in part to the clean water. This place is the real deal. Had a chicken steak fully loaded, and not only was the bread DEFINITELY from up north, but the sandwich was outstanding. Quick friendly service as well. Only reason it didn't get a 5 star, is that the prices (outside of lunch special) are A BIT high.

I never knew this place existed but I am happy I do now. While driving with my friend at work she noticed the sign for Big Als. We drove into see what it was, and happily it was a Philly Cheesesteak spot...score. It is very clean and well maintained. We both got the Philly triple threat (3 kinds of cheese) with steak (perfectly cooked and perfect consistency). The girl that took our order was super nice and helpful. We took it to go but there is seating to eat there. I actually like it better than cheesesteaks from Philly

Having been to Philly several times I have had the real cheesesteaks there. This place is okay for Florida. The meat is real ribeye which is a real plus and the reason they get a three star rating. The sandwich itself is just okay. The meat is cut far too thick and doesn't have the same texture as a real one in Philly. The meat should be sliced much thinner almost shaved. The police also could use a redo on the deck core. It looks very sterile and the menus and decor are too cartoonish. The prices are a bit high even the lunch special is about $12. understanding they're using real ribeye I don't mind paying a little bit more for a quality product, but that is a little steep for a steak sandwich. The fries were very good and crispy and came in a small cup. I probably would not come back here, it is such a specialty item that you would crave one once in a while unless it is something exceptional. unfortunately, this was not exceptional so I don't know if I'll be back.

I am not a Philly cheesesteak expert by any means but this place definitely fills my cheesesteak craving. The steak is cooked in front of you so you know exactly what they are cooking and how they are cooking it which is a plus. The place is very clean and the customer service gets 6 stars! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is cause as one reviewer said the steaks are not seasoned much but the steaks were cooked perfectly. There is a condiments table where you can add whatever you like so you can 'season' to your taste so it's a moot point really. No, the place is not cheap but anywhere that charges you $5 for a real steak sandwich would be suspect to me. I will definitely be going back! I ordered the loaded philly steak with provolone vs cheese whiz and I would have taken a picture of it but I couldn't resist and ate it in the car on the way home :-)

I am so excited to see this small chain come into Miramar, Florida. We used to dine at the one in Coconut Creek which shut down and the other locations were a little too far north for us. We used to drive almost an hour just to have our fixins and now it's practically in our backyard! Philly cheesesteaks are extremely fresh with prime rib eye steak used and rolls flown in daily from Philly. Other options on the menu are also devine. This is a spacious location with fantastic staff and delivery options. We will be back again. And Again. And Again.

I was hoping for more from this place but definitely got less. Ordered the lunch special for $12. It lacked flavor and was more bread than anything else. The meat portion was too little for the size of the bread. Bokampers and Sports Grill make better Philly's in the area.

Food is great. But service is always so slow. Come here to eat for lunch luckily have an hour lunch and that's still pushing my time. The cooks always look lost.

The best Philly cheese steak around here. The steak is moist with flavor. I tried them a few months ago when I saw them on restaurant.com . Well it was worth it. Like i said the best Philly cheese steaks in broward.

Got a chicken philly sandwich here on a lunch break. Wasn't as great as I expected for the price. Will be trying the other options and will update review upon completion.

Worst Steak Philly ever. Was going to Pandra Express noticed this place and it had no line so we tried it. Steak was fake microwave steak so rubbery no flavor had dice onions bread wasn't soft and not hard. Overall don't waist your time or money Miami Subs Philly is better just being honesty. Won't go back.

My wife and I always like to look for new places to eat and new experiences to have as a couple when we eat. We were looking for one of our usual spots today and saw Big Al's next to it and said, hey why not. They have Philly cheese-steaks all over their advertising on their window and it attracted my wife's attention. We walk in and the place was completely empty. We were surprised as it was lunch time (1ish) and our usual spot next door had a number of people at the time. We were greeted by a nice young lady welcoming us into the restaurant. We then looked over their menu asking a few menu questions and ordered a Philly for my wife and a hamburger for me. I have always stated this, if a place "CAN'T" prepare a good hamburger, the rest of their menu will probably be bad. I always try a hamburger first (If they serve one) when going to a new restaurant. Then if I come back, I try other things. Well I am still batting a thousand!!! The young lady stated that the total of two combo's was $25.00. I asked her and questioned what she had charged us. She repeated our order and yes we got a burger, Philly, fries, onion rings and two drinks and it came out to over $25.00. These were Lunch Special Combos. Really? Wow, this better be great for that price. The order took a very long time to be finished. My wife and I had enough time to walk the restaurant, look at all the signage, look at the menu a few times and also notice that they have a RONALD McDonald Box for some type of donations on their counter top. Well, at least at Micky D's, I won't pay $25 bucks for a dinner for two. Eighteen (18) minutes after ordering, we finally received our order. The cook, whom had a cap on backwards and looked "VERY" unprofessional asked me if I wanted BBQ sauce for my Onion rings. I said yes and asked him for ketchup for my wife's fries. He opened a plastic container with ketchup packets and gave me a few. I started eating my burger and I should have stopped after the first bite and I knew it. All I can think of each and every bite was the word Pepper. All I tasted was Pepper. My mouth and tongue still, now 11 hours later, feels like someone poured pepper on it. The Burger bun was also "COLD". How can you serve a hot, peppery burger, with a cold Bun? My wife's Philly Cheese steak was also a disappointment to her. The sandwich was more bread then meat, or any other items, visibly. The meat had "NO" taste (Her words) and she had to ask for salt to add to her sandwich. I am not from Philadelphia and can not honestly comment on how good or bad this item was from this restaurant. My wife is from New Jersey and has visited Philly a few times in her life and she stated it was awful. I am however an American and can tell you, from my own personal experience and opinion, that McDonald's, Burger King and Wendy's have better burger's then this place. Oh yes and by the way, you can eat at east ten of their dollar menu item burgers, versus one of Big Al's one awful burger.

Best philly style cheesesteaks in the area. Great customer service as well. Woman that took our order over the phone was amazingly courteous. Great stuff!

Disappointed...I really wanted to try these place so we order take out. We ordered two philly cheese steaks sandwiches and large cheese fries. The cheesesteaks were mostly bread I couldn't see or taste the cheese, also it was very dry sandwich since there was no mayo or seasoning. The fries were pretty bad. It supposed to have cheese but it was so melted you can only see oil just picture like fries with oil on top. Def. not going back !

First time having an authentic Philly cheesesteak and it surely won't be my last! The sandwich was served on a delicious Amoroso roll. The meat was real sliced ribeye steak cooked to perfection. The restaurant offers an abundance of toppings like onions, mushrooms, peppers, jalapeños, sweet peppers, spicy peppers, banana peppers, etc. and at no additional cost! The French fries aren't like Burger King's or McDonald's. They were thick cut steak fries and truly mouthwatering! The customer service was a pleasant experience. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The place is cozy, stylish, CLEAN and great for family dinners. I will most definitely be a frequent diner!

Very good cheese steak! When you're having a cheat day and you're craving salty savory cheesy deliciousness, this cheese steak hits the spot! I came in on the lunch hour and it wasn't crowded at all. The sub was made to order so took a little bit of waiting but it was well worth it. The combo comes with fries and a drink and ends up being about $12. You could easily do without the fries though, the sub is quite fulfilling. Definitely a great sub place!

As a native Philadelphian, I have had lots of cheesesteaks throughout my life. Few can be considered 'bad', most are 'good', and some are downright 'excellent'. Without a doubt, the cheesesteaks at Big Al's are classed as excellent, in my opinion. The rolls are shipped in from Amoroso's from Philly, and are warmed with a touch of crispness before serving. There are choices of cheese for customers, but Cheez-Whiz is my favorite. (I realize there is nothing organic or healthy in Cheez-Whiz, but it's what I was rasied on, and just tastes great when warmed and poured onto the steak). The steak is thin, tasty, lean and is perfect. Load up at the condiment bar, add some of the best fries available, and enjoy every crumb. The manager and staff are very friendly, service is quick, and the place is spotless. This place is a home run!
