I got the fried chicken, rice and peas and the vegetables. The fried chicken and rice and peas was good. Make sure you get the gravy. The vegetables though was under cook and tasted a little old. Also found 2 pieces of black hair in my chicken. 3 out of 5 stars for me

I go here because it's close to home... The food is always seasoned well, the people are warm & welcoming but I seem to have scraps as options during each visit. In all fairness I do arrive typically at 8pm, but still. If the portions aren't enough to serve a full plate, leave it in the bac or donate it. No one wants the last of anything, especially food.

Not bad. After having been to a slew of Jamaican restaurants in the BPB area going to ones closer to Miami I knew there would be something new. Had this place bookmarked for long and when we were in that area I just pulled up my bookmarks as I always do. This was the nearest place and the stomachs were growling so did not even bother to look any further. Its located in a strip mall with bright lights displaying the store sign. Another relief was that it was "Open" at around 9 pm at night. Its a good place for take out they also have few tables for those who want to dine-in. The food is made in batches and fresh from what I could tell. The menu has several Jamaican offering but on that day they only had Fried chicken and thankfully one of my all time favorites - the curry chicken. It was unanimous choice to go for the later and the large one in that. For like $9/box we walked of with a little relief that we were going to feed our selves with some curry out of no where in Miramar. The lady at the counter was great help and did not clinch at adding extra Curry- gravy as I had requested. The smell was amazing too. The chicken in the curry was very well cooked and probably very well slow-cooked. The taste of the curry was average and this is only because Kersmon Caribbean Restaurant in Greenacres has spoiled me bad. And because of Athea's cooking no other place will probably come close. But for what it is, this place does a decent job the curry was a little too wateret for my taste but its different strokes for different folks. The veggies were fresh I had it with white rice so nothing out of the blue there.

The customer service is horrible. They're rude and they move in slow motion. The food is good, but honestly there's like 100 other jamaican restaurants in pines with good food. Needless to say I won't be back.

Pleasant staff! Finally lol the must try here is definitely the fried chicken, rice and peas with the fried chicken gravy. SO good. Best Jamaican food in the pines/Miramar area hands down. Very organized and they always have FRESH food. No complaints.

The food here is very good. Their oxtail is very good, not too fatty and well seasoned. When ordering the goat you tend to get more bone than meat which is a shame as it is very spicy and tastes excellent. We have been coming here for years. I find the service slow, but the people are friendly. Noticed recently that they have started counting out the pieces of oxtail that they give you. We normally order a large..by their estimation that means 3 - 4 cups of rice (of your choice) and 5 pieces of oxtail ranging from small to large. I dread to think how many pieces you get for a small. Last time I went the lady asked if I wanted plantains. I was surprised as that was a first. She proceeded to add one plantain to each order. WOW!! Why even bother? All-in-all the food is good, however the portions of the oxtail and goat (because of the bone) should be more for what they are charging.

My favorite spot for Jamaican cuisine. My two favorite things to order are the oxtails and fried chicken. Their food taste good consistently and their staff is very friendly.

Meh I've had better. I ordered the large oxtail at 12.00 I guess it doesn't come with plantains cuz I had to ask for them. And then they only gave me 2 of them, I guess plantains are more expensive than oxtail. The portions are small even the large was weak. As for the flavor it wasn't bad but not worth a second visit. The service was ok not friendly and not rude

The food is excellent here! The best things I get here are the fried chicken and oxtail... Watch out though cause the oxtail gets sold out fasttttt especially at night. My only gripe is that anytime I call to have mi order placed they NEVER pick up the phone (probably because it's so packed) and sometimes when you get there... There's a line and only one person working the front, but the food is on point!

I went here around September 2012. I ordered take-out. The Jerk Chicken was wonderful!!!! I loved it! The customer service was average. They also have some sort of buffet thing out and it is a very spacious restaurant. I deducted a star from this establishment because of a whole incident with money. I originally used my debit card to pay for my order. The lady at the register claimed that there was something wrong with the machine and that she was not sure if it had went through or not & there was no way for her to be able to figure it out. She then asks if I had cash on me. I did have cash but I only like using cash for tolls, street parking, etc. My meal was only like $5 and so I handed her the cash I had. A couple of weeks later while checking my bank account online, I found out that the transaction did indeed occur. I was a little pissed. I didn't call or complain or anything but they got $10 out of me. So buyers be WARE! Use cash only in case their machine is down.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!! I've found great jamaican food. I've been here twice now and no disappointment here. The jerk chicken, curry chicken, and the stew fish are definitely on point. Even the rice is good, just like sunday dinner

We are regulars here and we have never been disappointed. The staff are so friendly and the food is good and you get a lot of it! It remains the best Jamaican restaurant we have ever been to (and we've been to many).
