Very cute holiday treats! i came here and needed a birthday cake for my 2 daughters birthday party and she had exactly what i needed! love it here i will be back again soon. UPDATE 1/9/11 I came here for cookies for my kids class and the young girl said they dont make iced sugar cookies... when asked what cookies they do make she didnt know i would have to ask the cookie maker... so i ask when he will be in she didnt seam to know that also... like most places talk to the older ladys!

Milton Bakery is truly one of those places that you find only rarely, if at all. It's so hard to find excellence in anything - and the Milton Quality Bakery epitomizes excellence in their products and their service. Every doughnut, cookie, eclair, cake - is a treat. The chocolate glazed doughnuts are bigger, better and tastier than any DD or KK. And their cake doughnuts are in another class onto themselves - that even a three-day old one (if it makes it that long at home) tastes better than any other fresh ones. Obviously this is a family owned and operated business that cares about what they do and how they do it. You will not find more helpful or polite people anywhere - and I realize, coming from California - the whole "southern hospitality" manners that you experience nearly everywhere - but here at the Milton Bakery it seems warmly genuine and authentic. Now, down to the star of the show - the Milton Quality Bakery Eclair - yes I capitalized it because it deserves to be capitalized. You will never have a better Chocolate Eclair anywhere - and I have tried them all over the US and foreign countries too. The closest comparison that you can make is to the "designer" Beard Papa creme puffs that originated in Japan and have now expanded in the US and other countries. And while there is no doubt that the pastry portion of the Beard Papa creme puff is wonderful, light and flaky - the Milton Quality Bakery Chocolate Eclair is a wonder to behold. The filling in the Milton Quality Bakery Chocolate Eclair is perfect! Not too sweet and the absolute perfect consistency - and it literally fills the entire Eclair from end to end. The pastry shell is tender and of the ideal consistency so when you bite into this piece of heaven - the filling doesn't come spilling out, or oozing out of the filler hole - which is amazing considering the amount of filling they manage to fit into the Eclair. You can eat one in your car (which happens often as it's quite difficult to wait until you get all they way home - even if you live only a couple of blocks away) and not worry about spilling any of the creamy filling on yourself. It is unlikely that you will ever have a better Eclair/Creme Puff in your life - so if you have a chance and ever get within 50 miles of Milton, FL - do yourself a favor and stop by the Milton Quality Bakery and have an Eclair or any of their other wonderful products. (Get their early if you want an Eclair - before 12 noon - or you can call them and they will actually reserve a couple for you to pick up - which is a good idea) Either way do yourself a goodie and treat yourself to true excellence - and something you will never forget.

Simply delicious baked goods. Probably good that it is an hour away from home for me. Only missed out on 5star rating because while there were several customers in the store, only 1 of the 4 visible employees bothered to help the guests. The others seem disinterested in doing anything at all. But the goodies are amazing the service was otherwise acceptable.

One of the best places Milton has to offer. Everything is always fresh and everyone is always friendly. I ordered two pies for thanksgiving, one pumpkin and one apple. We loved the apple so much we finished it in one night and bought another the next day. The pumpkin was good as well, but had a different taste than the pumpkin pies I've had in the past.

I stumbled on this place yesterday morning after getting up early and going down by the riverfront. What a pleasant surprise! Great donuts ( mot the light fluffy kind - but the cakey kind that fill you up). Great flavors (tried chocolate, blueberry and regular). Also tried the Boston cream donut which was a bit lighter and still very good. I saw someone picking up a nicely decorated Gators cake. While the design looked good I can't say much for their choice in football teams, but we shouldn't hold that against the bakery. The customers were clearly happy with what was prepared for them. Prices were very reasonable, even on the low side. Will definitely visit again when we are back in town visiting family again.

I am a firm believer in that having too much of a good thing can be bad. Take donuts, for example. A fresh cruller with a scalding hot cup of coffee is what many people would call a good thing, but when one cruller becomes half a dozen, and a cup of coffee becomes half a pot, that is generally considered.....not good. That is why I would not recommend the Milton Quality Bakery to anyone that lacks discipline. Because if you dont have a good amount of self control, the delicious, fresh, cheap as dirt baked creations they produce on a daily basis may just send you over the edge. This quaint pastry shop is, without a doubt, my favorite place to go in Milton to satiate my sweet tooth, besides my own kitchen. Whether you decide to sample their Infamous Fudge Fancies, fresh donuts, mini-pies, muffins, cookies, breads, cakes, or whatever culinary creation they happen to have that day, its very rare that you will be disappointed. On my last visit, I sampled their sugar-raised cake donut, and a cinnamon twist. The donut and twist were both very rich without being overpowering. Soft and satisfying without that over-fried oily taste some donuts have. And VERY cheap. "You get what you pay for" does not apply here. I would gladly pay double for their baked goods, and even then, It would still be a fairly good deal. They also brew and sell coffee by the cup to accompany your pastry of choosing. The shop also does custom cake orders, which I can vouch for. I brought them a somewhat crude sketch of a cartoon character drawn up by a friend of mine for a school project, and asked them to put it on a cake before tomorrow morning. Not only were they able to do it on time, as requested, and for a good price, the frosting version of the drawing was impressively accurate. And the cake itself got rave reviews. One girl even took me aside and thanked me for "Making her week by bringing a milton bakery cake." Were I reading this review, I would have already been biking my legs off toward MQB at the mention of cheap donuts, but I do hope that I've managed to convince you of this shop's baking prowess. Being an amateur baker myself, I know good sweets, and that is precisely what these people specialize in. All too often people settle for an aging and expensive box of krispy kreme from the Food World, when they could pay less, and get more at the Milton Quality Bakery. Go now! P.S. They do except credit cards, but only with a minimum purchase of $5. Just an FYI.
