Sucked!!! We eat here every weekend or so, and the quality has dropped off. It's all about the money for dave. Great service, poor food!!! Very simple, catfish sucks!!!!

My family and I visited this place last Saturday and for the most part were disappointed! I had the whole catfish and it was grossly over cooked and hard to eat. The fries and coleslaw was OK. My oldest son is a body builder and eats a lot, so he ordered the all you can eat popcorn shrimp. Repeat orders came so slow that we just got tired of waiting and left. We want take the time to go there from Fort Walton any more, instead will go to Po Folks in Niceville, the catfish is great and cheaper.

Whole catfish! Very well done and great portions for the money. Even got a couple extra hush puppies. Actually ran into the owner a couple of times, and it seems like he really cares about this restaurant, and it shows. Well worth the drive to the location!

Restaurant came as a recommendation. As someone from west of the Rockies the catfish and popcorn shrimp were awesome and all you can eat. Left stuffed to the brim. Would highly recommend.

While on vacation we tried this place. The food was good and so was the value. But what really impressed us was our waitress Jessica, she was funny, bright, sweet, and really seemed to care if we were having a good dinning experiance. Thanks again Jessica.

Came here for dinner my first night on vacation and wouldn't shut up talking about it all week, so this is were we went for my last night on vacation too. Sorry, bro. Anyway, I've never eaten really eaten catfish - except in the Peruvian Amazon, go figure - because I always hear about them being bottom feeders and trash fish. But the catfish here is SO good - perfectly fried, generous sizes, and so so moist and flavorful. The first time I went for the AYCE (all you can eat) with the catfish and popcorn shrimp for $15 (comes with 2 sides). I only could manage one go since there was so much food. The second time I opted for the catfish and jumbo shrimp combo - about the same generous amount of food for a dollar less.

On vacation. Never had catfish before - not a big fish eater...it was very very good! Would have it here again for sure! Coleslaw is awesome. All The staff is wonderful .... But Heather completed the experience .... She is the best, let me try items and had us laughing the whole time. Thanks for the great time!

We travel from central Florida to the Alabama Gulf Coast with David's in mind for our meal on the road. Good value great catfish, coleslaw and service. And guess what, this time we were fortunate enough to have Jessica as our server. The other girls seemed adequate but we observed no one who seemed to enjoy what they were doing the way Jess did.

Quintessential low country catfish house. Their coleslaw is the best this Florida girl has ever had. Coatings on fried fish is light and crunchy--go for it!

Basically a slightly better than average fried fish house. The food was good and the service was even better! If your feeling fried fish, check out Davids. A solid 3.5 star for sure!

Before dining at David's I was told they are world class when it comes to catfish. I'd have to disagree. If there were a 2.5 star, it would be a better fit for their rating. I ordered the "all you can eat " catfish and the first serving was about as good as it gets,...my second serving was overcooked and dripping with grease. I figured they kept all the rejected pieces of catfish for anyone who dared request a second helping. Their coleslaw isn't bad, but has about the same consistency as their cheese grits. Service was OK, but was almost too fast. I felt like we were rushed through their process to get more customers in the door. Our waitress was over familiar with some customers as she sat down and chatted with them at their table. Would I go back? Yes. Would I be excited? No.

If you like all you can eat catfish, whole or filet, this is the place. Country place, nothing fancy, but a good deal

Great food, good price. Fried catfish is definitely the thing to order. Pretty basic but never had a bad piece in the 3+ times I've been. Beans are very sweet, as is the coleslaw, but that's how I like my southern sides! Hush puppies are also on par.

Look, it's a maybe, go for the food, but be aware that they have at least 50,000 rules you MUST FOLLOW! But the catfish are good and hot, crispy, the way I like them! But the service was terrible! Our waitress was rude! But give it a shot, I may have gone on a bad day!

Very reasonable and outstanding cat fish! Something about their tartar sauce is better than others, but it might just be me! The place is quaint, but the food makes up for it!

Pretty basic, no beer but good food. Jackie was exceptional as our waitress. Cocktail and tartar sauce tasted homemade and the breaded shrimp were just right. Cheese grits were good too. Might try the all you can eat next time.

I understand why they got the "best in the bay" award for their food. Great service and delicious catfish! The coleslaw and sweet tea is delicious as well (:

David's was voted Best of the Best for catfish, and my husband and I decided to drive out to Milton to try it. I ordered the lunch special of two catfish fillets, fries and coleslaw. My husband got the catfish fillet with fried oysters. His plate had one fillet and 4 oysters for $9.49 which I think is over priced. He thought the catfish was watery and had no flavor as did I. I also thought the coleslaw had an off flavor that I did not like but others might. The service was exceptional though. Sharla was our server, and she was attentive making sure we were doing okay. I won't go back unless I move to Milton as I don't think it's worth it.
