Had dinner at Aces tonite for the first time but definitely not the last. Living in Texas for over 25 years I was skeptical of trying the country fried steak but it was better than most I've had around the Houston area. Perfect portion, awesome gravy(you can choose white or brown I had white) and a heaping mound of sweet potato fries - yummers! Waitstaff was great just like everyone says.

Excellent food, interesting country/ home town decor with lots of history of the town to look at, and our server - Michelle - was the best server I have ever had. Seriously was surprised at the service, I'll be back!

Another great southern gem. Whether you're looking for a hot bowl of soup or a roast beef sandwich with all the fixin's, Ace's is the place for you. Best breakfast in Milton by far!

In the area visiting a friend and went to Ace's for breakfast. I thought the menus were unique because the front and back were made out of license plates! Never seen that before. I ordered the egg & cheese croissant with bacon. It also came with breakfast potatoes. I liked how the bacon was chopped up inside the egg. The food was good, although the slice of American cheese was underwhelming. Service was good. Not a bad little place.

Nothing fancy, but we had a good solid breakfast. I had the half serving of French Toast with a side of eggs. Technically, it was actually 2/3 of the full size. Everything was tasty and filling and the prices were reasonable, especially considering how large the portions were. The wait staff was great and even on a busy Sunday morning, we didn't have to wait too long for our food. Wish we were staying in town longer so we could come back one day for dinner.

Went for breakfast on a Sunday. I can't believe that I live here and have never been inside of the place. It's clean and not crowded with tables. The parking lot has parking places perilously close to Highway 90 (or "Caroline Street," as some people prefer)...if you park next to the road with your hood towards the north, I'd suggest backing into the parking lot and exiting elsewhere, giving yourself a better line-of-sight to leave. I can't remember the name of what I had to eat. it was a bowl of creamy grits, topped with American cheese, scrambled eggs, and chunks of snausage (see picture). It turned out to be more food that I thought when I first saw it, and it came with a huge biscuit that was light and delicious...although the biscuit could have been cooked for a couple of more minutes (I posted a picture of the biscuit too...my girlfriend thinks that I'm insane). I couldn't finish everything, although I gave it my best attempt. I think my meal was $6.95. My girlfriend had the half-order of biscuits (one large biscuit) and sausage gravy. I'm pretty sure the white gravy is made from a mix--uniform texture and not as tasty as homemade--but there was a LOT of sausage in the gravy and she was satisfied with the plate. There are two buffet-style bars, one a cold bar with salad and fixin's on it, and a hot bar that had maybe 12-16 different sides/veggies. I got the impression that they have blue plate-type lunches every weekday, although I didn't ask. What I did notice is that they have spaghetti every Wednesday...which I intend to sample soon. There is also an all-you-can-eat crab legs night (for $24.99), but I don't remember which night, although it is either Friday or Saturday evening. I'll definitely go back, and soon. If you live in the area, give it a try and post your impression.

Gasp! You didn't go on Tuesday for their fried chicken?! That has always been my favorite at Ace's. That is until I discovered their all vegetable plate. Hard to decide, so just go on Tuesdays for fried chicken and go another day of the week to get just veggies. But do not miss the blackberry cobbler either day! Superclean, friendly staff, and oh yeah...the food is great!

Not a true southern restaurant....eggs not done and biscuits and gravy with sausage....that was a joke...then it's on the expensive side...

Great down home southern country cooking. Sunday fried chicken is the best. I have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here and have never been disappointed.

I had fried green tomatoes and they came out hot and fresh and the best part not greasy. amazing. The salad bar is simple but filling and the sides bar, wow fresh beans, black eyed, limas, and a few other southern favs. we split a philly and it was filling, fresh hot fries. The two of us ate for $20.00. I will go back.

Had breakfast here this morning with a large group. Everything was excellent. Had a Western omelet which was best I've had in these 2 counties. Service was real good too! Highly recommend this place.
