After a morning of roaming Vizcaya's extensive gardens, this cafe gave us exactly what we needed. Going to a museum cafe for lunch, you expect to be overcharged. I was pleasantly surprised that this wasn't the case at all. This cafe's prices are similar to the prices that you would expect to pay at a sit-down restaurant anywhere else in Miami - around $9-12 for the items we chose. My husband chose the hamburger, which was cooked perfectly and served with a generous helping of veggie additions. I selected the quiche of the day, which I highly recommend - the dish was light and fluffy and was a favorite of our group. We had our relaxing lunch outside next to Vizcaya's pool, watched over by a few friendly Vizcaya cats (I know, I shouldn't pet strays... but I did). The outside tables have small umbrellas to keep off the sun. The setting, with the ocean nearby and the gorgeous architecture all around, reminded me of a cafe I visited in Caesarea, Israel. The only reason that I'm giving this place four stars instead of five is because of the lack of free tap water at the cafe (bottled water only). Since water wasn't free, and because I refuse to pay for bottled water, my group split a bottle of chilled mango wine, which was very refreshing. The connected gift shop sells the wine, but the cafe has a few chilled bottles for purchase if you ask while ordering. Dehydration plus classy day-drinking equaled a much more entertaining self-guided tour of the inside of Vizcaya. All in all, an excellent experience. I'd recommend stopping by for a light lunch while you're visiting the museum.

Nice place to sit down for lunch after spending the day in the museum. Its a very relaxing cafe with the option to sit inside or our in the garden with an amazing view of the water. Items are a bit pricey but not too over the top. Must try the quiches or peppered fries. Staff is very friendly and service is fast.

Although we did not dine in at the cafe, we enjoyed looking at the items in the gift shop. Overall, I enjoyed looking at the Vizcaya's garden and the water view the most. I love how the mansion is very historic. We saw many people taking engagement and wedding photos. If I have a chance to go back to Miami, I will make sure to this as my priority in my to-do list. I recommend everyone to go there and visit. You won't regret it! They have student discounts.

Cute little place, perfect for visiting and taking pictures, although you need to buy a ticket to go. One side stinks really badly but I would definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for something to do in Miami.

Fun to have tea and drink their own blend. Ask for Paula and tea!

Ok, so apparently there's a different Yelp section for the shops & cafe at the Vizcaya so I thought that i'd do this justice by writing a review on the cafe. I should have given it a 3.5 but since there's no increments I'll round up to 4. It's not because of the food, but the price...their items are a bit pricey and I guess it should be expected since it's located in a museum. All of the fries they serve are seasoned...and they are seasoned well. Had the Cuban sandwich and it was awesome. Husband's dad and his wife had a tuna sandwich and grilled ham and cheese (which I thought that if you're a tuna sandwich or ham and cheese lover you can never go wrong with this order). If you're visiting the garden or just want to stop by for lunch, check out the cafe at the Vizcaya.

Enjoyed the cafe very much. The menu is fairly diverse for a museum cafe. We had the hamburger (excellent) and the shrimp po boy (very good). Both outside and inside seating available. I suggest the 2-person table situated in the window looking into the indoor/outdoor pool.
