Worst service I have ever experienced. Ordered delivery and it took 2 hours. When I called to find out what's going on they told me the driver was stuck in the rain. Mind you, it was a sunny day. Blatant disrespect. Make a long story short, I got cold food and a stank attitude when I called to let them know. F@&K Munchies!

food was okay, for being one of the only places open late night. delivery was missing an item on friday and when we went in on sunday, the service was terrible. our waitress informed us it would take twenty minutes to split our check. took 10 minutes to get drinks that were in bottles we could have grabbed ourselves. okay if you are starving, but i wont be going back.

It is what it is.. Colombia hot dogs.. YUMMY. I don't know why anyone would come here and order anything else and I certainly have not. I love my super perro, its consistent and satisfying. It's one of those things you just have to know about, is it authentic Colombian? NO, but then again not many Americans would want quail egg and a ton of other intense variations on such an American favorite as a hot dog. Definitely worth trying for a quick bite.

While some of the reviews about the cleanliness creeps me out... I have yet to actually visit Munchies. So this is based on my blissfully unaware deliveries via Eat24hours.com . There's a pretty extensive menu on eat24, and I'm a fan of the churrasco wrap. They do deliver at any time of night, and the food is quite filling. Anyways, this is probably one of my favorite delivery options in the Brickell area... hit or miss on how long it actually takes to get there though.

We dropped in to The Munchies after 11 pm when the other restaurants in the area were closed. The food was just okay. It is prepared right in front of you so you know exactly what you are getting. They put a number of different sauces on each dish which isn't for me.

Good food, great service, open late, and cheap, all wonderful qualities, although they could use a few more menu options in my opinion. Also, try some of the natural fruit juices, lots of exotic South American options.

funny story....i found out about this places while walking by. i decided to get a delivery menu just in case i got hungry later...when i try to order the number on the was wrong, so i had to walk there to get my food. the cashier person does not speak english or spanish..(how to communicate) and when i gave him my order he replied they didnt have those items on the menu (? im staring at the board behind him with a big picture of shredded corn). when i finally get my order through i sadly encounter that all my time and effort was a waste, the food is tasteless, soggy and old. I was expecting something amazing just because is latin fast food, but im sorry, im sticking to my regular 3am food joint. not even because is right down my block is this place worth it.

Let me tell you about a place that used to be at least decent. It was called Chick-N-Grill. Then munchies came in and just took that idea and decided to make the place the worst dinning experience of my life. First of all this place shouldn't' have servers, its counter service food, I make the line i say what I want i pay at the register I seat myself. Instead, they tricked me into getting a waiter by having her wait at the door for ppl to come in and have her sit them. They then take forever making the counter service quality food (dried out chicken, terrible rice and beans). They take even longer to get the actual check to your table and then low and be hold you already have your tip factored into the bill (this was two ppl having dinner not a party of 6 or above). I then have to wait for her to come back for my check, i get tired and go to the register and have one the extra bodies that work there try to ring me up only to have him run of with my debit card to another register wtihout telling me. I finally pay and leave. I am NEVER EVER RETURNING TO MUNCHIES. When it was chick-n-grill they had good food on the cheap when your in a rush, instead we get piss poor food on the not so cheap and uber delayed. Eff this place

Loved the beef empanadas and chorizo! I can tell I'll be having cravings for those :D Chicharonnes were ok, kinda lacked flavor but I liked the arepa w/ cheese although I thought it was pricey (4.75). Service good and overall prices were great. Very convenient hours

Alas, one lonely sunday night I ordered a chicken sandwich from Munchies and was told 40 min. 1h20min after I placed my order I called to see when the order was going to arrive. They apologized and said they will only charge the delivery fee and the food was on the way and almost here. 1h45min later I called and politely asked how much longer and the manager asked why I was calling since they already agreed to not charge me and hung up on me. 2h later I called and spoke with another manager and was told that the order had just left the restaurant 15 min earlier. 2h30min later I received a cold munchies chicken sandwich. The chicken and fries were very dry. If I hadn't been starving, I probably wouldn't have eaten it. I called back to talk to manager #2 to ensure that my card wouldn't be charged. I told him I didn't appreciate being hung up upon by the other manager and told him I will make sure I give them 1 star on yelp (sadly I was powerless to make stronger threats). He then told me they have so many customers and didn't need my business and then hung up on me. Slightly amused by the irony of being hung up on because I was complaining about being hung up on, I still felt like I had to follow through on my menacing threat. So here ya go Munchies, my one star.

Food is decent. Service is good. Alright spot to go after the clubs. You won't love or hate it. It is just a blip on the Brickell radar. One great thing is that if you are real hungry this spot is perfect for VERY quick grill service. I was amazed.

Do not ever order delivery from this place. They will lie about the time and then get annoyed when you call and check the status on it. They seem to lack communication skills with their staff. They told me 30 minutes and was almost 2 hours, every time I called they gave me the " right around the corner speech". Food is known to be good there but the service SUCKS !

    (1)
  • Rob T.

Food is fantastic 9 out of 10 times and it's impossible to have a problem with their hours. Last 2 times it has taken over 90 minutes to Get my delivery and they always say food is on way.

Just left this place. Walking in and hearing the seated customers complaining and just asking for boxes to go should have been a hint. Service was terrible. The waitress you can tell is embarassed to even give her face to the customers. It was a party of 3. Ordering a simple meal. Appetizer came out LAST lol and two of the meals came out about 30 minutes before the last meal with the app. Burgers were ok. The quesadilla... which is chicken and cheese was terrible. Served with old lettuce and sour cream from a packet. When the menu says pico de gallo. All in all... this place was just a mistake. Really bad :-/

  • Liliana Z.

The food is mediocre, lots of chopped burned lettuce used as "salad". The chicken breast portion was quite small. The meats used on the super desgranado dish were chewy and uncooked. The service was incredibly slow and our food took forever although we were the only customers for about 1 hr on a Tuesday night at about midnight. Sadly I don't think we will be coming back.

  • Burny K.

The burgers are smaller and the price is higher now. The burgers dont have anything close to the taste it had 3 years ago. Different chips in the burgers. NO sauce when I specifically had asked for all the sauces. The fries were soggy and they never took my order correctly when I ordered take out over thw phone so it took me 45 mins just to get 2 burgers and an order of fries once I arrived. Ive given it two tries before giving another review just in case it was a new chef. But its just a bad inflated price food. Never again will I go back. I rather go to burger beer joint.

The food was barely edible. I ordered the steak sandwich & it was disgusting and the meat was of very poor quality. Additionally the kitchen was open for all to see---and very dirty. The cook didn't even use gloves to handle the food. The prices were low but I could see why. Not likely to return.

Did not even eat there and I never will. The owner has no respect for anyone especially his neighbors. He is very rude and extremely unwelcoming. Went for a quick coffee about 2 min to tinta y cafe next door and parked in his extremely empty parking lot. He saw us walk from our car and instead of giving us a heads up before he called the tow trucks, he let us just go next door. When I headed back to my car a couple minutes later he told me he called the tow trucks. Then he proceeded to threaten me and scream vulgarities at me and my girlfriend. By the way I very much recommend tinta y cafe their food and drinks are great and they have a great staff working there.

Went here because it was kind of empty thinking it was going to be quick stop. Took about 30 minutes to get my light meal, was not even a hamburguer and it was just me plus 2 more tables and 2 Waitresses ,15 were probably empty tables. Service was really bad, no one came to tell me what was going incwith my food. I was sure that i was not gonna leave a tip but was included so whatever, paid with a $20 bill and went to the bathroom thinking my change was going to be on the table by the time i was back from the bathroom, well it wasnt , i guess the waitress really thought i was gonna leave all my change after such of horrible service, got my change after 5 minutes waiting and left. Food was ok. This was a sunday evening.

I've ordered from them 3x now. The 1st time it was good but not great. The 2nd time it was mediocre at best , I thought mane it was a new chef. The 3rd and final time was the last straw! The food they delivered to my door was absolutely horrific. I called back as soon as I received the order (no answer). Then I call the next day and they refuse to REPLACE MY ORDER NOR GIVE MY MONEY BACK. Please save yourself the time and money !

I ordered a bandeja paisa for delivery and it was really disappointing. The only things I could it were the rice and the egg. The rest was awful. The steak was too hard and tasteless. I also ordered an empanada and it was so greasy. This was my first and last time ordering food with them. Oh! Btw: their menu reads one price but the charge another totally different.

I just ate at this place, excellent service by everyone there! I ordered Tequeños - these where the best I've had!! I had to ask for a second order. As a meal I ordered Pabellon, this is a Venezuelan meal.... And it made me feel like I was eating at my Grandmas house! Definitely will be back.

I have to agree that the service here is pretty spotty. I popped in here for a "to go" lunch on Saturday. There was only one table occupied. I made my order, paid, and waited. While waiting 2 other patrons came in. Somehow, both of those parties ended up with their food before I did. Kind of weird, but whatever. Anyway, I waited about 25 minutes for food that should have taken maybe 10 minutes to prepare. The menu is almost identical to the more well known La Moon down the street. I am not the person to discuss whether or not this is "authentic" Columbian food or not. I don't know. I do know that, to me, the food at La Moon is a probably a little better even if a little pricier. There is no question as to who has the better service. Bottom line is this is serviceable food, but nothing overly amazing.

Went because of a groupon. 2 $15 vouchers for $16. Ordered wings for $6 (at least that is what it was listed for). The bill said $7.50. The menu didn't state it came with fries so I told them that they could take it back because I can't eat them. The waitress came back to the table stating that we should have told her before we ordered it, with an attitude. It wasn't even like I asked to Lowe the bill or anything. Over all it wasn't worth the experience. To top it off they auto place gratuity. I canceled the groupon, paid the full bill so that I would not have to go back.

If you're looking for delivery, don't bother ordering from here. I live less than a mile away but by the time our food arrived (80 minutes later), everything was cold and soggy. Ever leave McDonald's french fries out for 5 hours then try to eat them? That's what the Munchies fries tasted like. And the mozzarella sticks were literally limp and the cheese inside so cold that it was like biting into a stick of Kraft string cheese. They also didn't include any of the sauces we requested. The arepa burger would have been tasty if it were 20 degrees warmer. They shouldn't have a delivery menu if they can't deliver food that isn't cold.

  • Jimmy C.

Every thing was delicious. My only gripe was some of the steak was hard to chew. Too much fat I guess? Other than that, everything was mouth wateringly good. Ended up having two cafés! Didn't need to add anything. They were perfect! I'm glad I live walking distance because I'm definitely going again.

Ordered a burger, mozzarella sticks, and French fries... They said it would take 40 minutes .... Took over 2 hours for the food to get here...food was cold and barely edible, and fries were soggy and they offered no discount or refund! Terrible service don't recommend

  • Kevin R.

Worst service ever. Ordered for delivery. Took them 3.5 hours even though they are less than 1 mile away. When we called at the 2 hour mark, the girl hung up on me mid-conversation even though no heated words were exchanged. Just hung up. I had to call back. When she picked up, she lied and said the food was already on the way. An hour and a half later the food showed up. Piping hot. The deliveryman told us they don't even check for orders placed through the Internet. The employees here need to be fired. But the employees at every location reflect the personality of the manager. So the manager should be fired as well.

Made the mistake of coming here last night with 2 of my friends. Seeing only one other family inside there on a Saturday night should've been a sign to just walk out. Instead we stayed, and regretted it immediately after ordering. Considering we ordered appetizer items, and there was only ONE other family in there, you would think that the food would come out relatively quickly. Of course not, why should I expect these things? How dumb of me. Almost 45 minutes later the waitress, who I'm sure has never worked in the food industry in her life, comes with our food. We ordered mozzarella sticks but after waiting 45 min she tells us that they ran out. THAT is completely unacceptable and should've been told to us before. We also ordered an arepa that was cold and not cooked which was sent back and ultimately not even eaten because they took so long, my friend instead left and walked next door to the Wendy's. The chicken fajitas and chicken quesadilla we ordered were absolutely disgusting and not even cooked properly. At the end, we asked for the check and they have the audacity to automatically tack on a service charge. That's understandable if it was a party of 6 or more which most reputable restaurants do, but on 3 people in this poor excuse of a restaurant? I don't think so. The waitress, as she was "cleaning" the table, even spilled some beer on my friend. Moral of the story: DO NOT EVER COME HERE. Starving is a better option. Or the Wendy's next door.

'The $24 platter claims it serves 4, and it use to, now it barely feeds 2 people...Save your money, cross the street and you can pick a better choice for your money's worth...Sushi Saki, Peppers Mexican Grill, even McDonald's or Wendy's at opposition corner are a better price. Last time this establishment is patronized or recommended.

I ordered on Eat24 and waited 110 minutes and it never showed up. Tried to cancel by calling and they said they couldn't help me out and I should continue to wait. 20 minutes after I cancelled the delivery driver pounded on my door after bypassing security in my building just to tell me he couldn't give me my order and it wasn't his fault because he received the wrong delivery address. Scum bags! Never again. If they cared they'd respond to the myriad of negative reviews. But they don't.

I usually only order delivery from here and their staff is always very friendly and helpful. Been ordering from here a few years. Food is a little greasy but it's always good. A good late night Colombian junk food spot. I prefer staff here as opposed to their rival "la moon". Staff their is pompous and rude. I'll take munchies instead any day! Salchipapas are super yummy.

  • Patri C.

Ordered for delivery, picked the empanadas of chicken that are 1.50 and they brought me no sauce. Made the mistake to order the really watered down strawberry and berry smoothie that has no flavor whats so ever. The last thing I ordered was the munchies chicken arepa, barely any flavor at all. Highly recommend another colombian place, for example La Moon right across the street!

This is literally the BEST restaurant in Miami. Going to school in Tallahassee it's hard to get delicious, authentic Hispanic food; add in the fact that I'm a vegetarian makes it practically impossible. My solutions is to wait weeks, months at a time, to come home and eat at Munchies. The food is absolutely amazing, the people are super friendly, and they never have a problem making me something off the menu- although I usually eat the Desgranado because it's delicious and vegetarian friendly.

Service was horrible. It wasn't even a busy night. Waiter punched in our orders and after that he disappeared. I had to constantly ask this other waitress for refills. I remember looking at these couples sitting in a booth in the back of the restaurant having their drinks waiting for their meal. Then about 30 min later they got up and stood in front of the kitchen and asked to have their food boxed so they can leave. My burger came out as an appetizer and since I don't like eating without the other members of my party my food got cold. If you order a burger you have to pay extra for fries. Who would think to have to pay extra for fries?! You're already paying $8+ for the burger itself. I left no tip. My friend payed in cash and we waited for for about 10 min assuming the waiter would come back to give him his $4 change (he didn't want to tip). We had to get up and look for him and we found him all the way in the back of the kitchen line just standing there. We called him over and asked about the change to which he replied that there was a $4 service fee. What service? WE HAD NO SERVICE! I'd stay away from this place.

Honestly, for a late night fix after bar-hopping downtown Brickell or what have you, this place is pretty good. As in food-wise. Everything seems to be pretty tasty. Lomo Saltado is my personal fave. I've had much better in legit Peruvian restaurants, but this one wasn't bad at all. I even got a few of my friends hooked onto it. And as other reviews will forewarn you, service here is pretty bleak. I've only come here during the extremely late night hours, so from my experience its not too bad. But I've had much, much worse. Tasty food, decently priced, semi-average service. This renders a 3.5-3.8 stars in my book. Especially as a late night option.

These people are not COLOMBIAN!!!! They don't know what colombian food is! We ordered a bandeja Paisa for delivery and it looked like someone had eaten out of it before it got to us. Food is underwhelming. Nothing special about the menu. Overpriced. Service was very slow, even though we were the only table. The last time I came here they didn't even have 80 percent of the menu available. Why stay open than? Not worth the trouble.

I live right around the corner and would love to have a place like this to eat at, but what I saw the cook do is impermissible. To be fair, this was a year ago....but haven't been back since. Aside from that, they really don't do anything that great to draw me back. I have food safety knowledge and certain places scare me. This is one of them.

Before ever coming to "munchies" I had heard great reviews. "food was great" bla bla bla. So when my friends mentioned "munchies" it was an automatic "yes!" from me. Now, I experienced the complete opposite of everything I had heard. Horrible service from the beginning. The food took forever. The appetizers weren't cooked completely (we had some balls of dough with cheese filling) the centers were still frozen. After we returned them and asked them to bring us another order of the same thing. They brought us back our old appetizers that they had recooked! Nasty!!! The food took forever!!!!!!! And when it was time to pay. Our waitress forced us to pay cash because she didnt know how to change the order so we could pay by card. Not happy at all! And as for the food. It wasn't worth the wait and horrible service. I dislike this place!

    (1)
  • Kristen P.

Ordered food and asked for water. Only 2 tables besides ours and waited to get water. The beans are seasoned well but can't say the same for the chicken and steak. Had the munchies arepas. They are arepa balls that are fried so don't get the added flavor of butter. Don't recommend them.

I am now in the process of disputing with my credit card company because I wanted a refund for my burnt burger that took 30 minutes. They couldn't give me a refund because their register was "closed" 2 hours before closing. Good thing I have the manager's signature on the receipt. On top of that they didn't want to give me the full refund because the waitress wanted to keep her tip.

So I've finally dined in Munchies, quite a few times actually! I'm a big fan of their staff, which is really important to me. The food is good but sometimes a bit greasy but the shakes/smoothies definitely hit the spot. Good job, munchies!

    (4)
  • Jennifer D.

Impressed with the smoothie; delicious and still frozen :). Food was good, nothing exciting to say there. I've only had them delivered, so I cannot say anything about the location. I wish they carried grilled cheese. That would make my day!

Save yourself the disappointment and stay away! Don't waste your money in this place the food is horrific wouldn't really know where to start. Just please please stay away. If you're in the mood for Colombian food go down the street to La Moon which is delish. The food is awful, bland and tasteless. The only good thing from this experience was our waitress who was nice and the only reason it gets 1 star and well because I cannot NOT give it zero stars but I wish we had the option. Ugh i shudder at the thought of this place

    (1)
  • Jessica C.

It's close to 5AM and you're in the Brickell area and in dire need of some artery clogging Venezuelan/Colombian food. La Moon is closed so now what?! Munchies! This place is open 24 hours on weekends and even deliver for those who seriously have "the munchies" if you catch my drift :cough cough:. I personally enjoy their version of the Colombian hot dog more than La Moon's. It's bigger and just taste better. Oh, and they're not stingy with the ingredients. I've also had their arepa..kinda pricey for an arepa, but when it's late and you're craving one, it's totally worth it. It's extremely cheesy...yum! The staff is young and nice and normally converse with you while you try to sober up, good times!

One day I came for lunch with a friend by accident. We were hoping to find Chick-N-Grill, but we found Munchies. Being open to trying different foods and flavors, we decided to give it a try. My friend had the quarter chicken with white rice and black beans. Let's just say it wasn't something to write home about. That day I ordered the Super Munchies Arepa {SMA} (which consists on mozzarella cheese, shredded beef, chicken and sausage stuffed in a corn arepa). I also decided to try the Arepa de Chicharron. The SMA was good and filling. I honestly didn't taste any chicken in it but that's fine with me. Now the Arepa de Chicharron it's an awesome concept; it's just not well executed. This is presented to you in a platter with a bed of lettuce and chicharron and 1 arepa cut into 8 tiny slices. All I can say is that I was disappointed by the chicharron. It just broke my heart that it tasted nothing like how an authentic chicharron should taste like. It was super low in salt & when I got it, it was cold... And that is not cool! Being a responsible & mature young adult, I decided to be nice and give this relationship a second chance. Boy was I wrong. I ordered {as a delivery} 2 chicken arepas. Hmmm... If you're going to give me shredded chicken, make sure you take out all the bones... I found a few pieces of the chicken bones in my food!!! And the chicken... oh the poor chicken (and my poor stomach) This was the driest and most tasteless chicken I have ever had... Did I mention that the charge is $3.60 for delivery?? ¿Estan loca esta gente? Previously, I had given this place 3 stars, but after today, that has changed. This place is somewhere to come once in a blue moon (or when you've had a few too many Blue Moons and don't really care what you're eating).

Ive given this place a few tries just to see if they would improve in service. It never got better. Takes over an hour for delivery and more than once the order came wrong. I ordered 2 churasscos today and it came with salad rather than maduros like the menu states. Also when the deliver guy got here it said 2 churasscos were $24 each. The menu online on their site, yelp & eat 24 hours all said 13.99. I called and the lady said that its not the correct price online that it's $24 each. I complained and she called the owner and he finally said he was refunding the difference. She also said he knew it was different online but just hasnt gotten around to changing it. The service is horrible at this place. Even it being empty at the store everything seems to take forever. Wheather youre sitting there or getting delivery. You could live less than a mile away like i do and itll take no less than an hour for delivery and dont be surprised if the order is wrong

1st meal of 2010, 1st review of 2010 and sad to say I have to give it one star. 3AM on New Years...Yelp app on iPhone helps me find this place. I see 2 reviews for 5 stars and convince the hubby and SIL to eat here (even though they looked at the location and were hesitant, I said 'hey, New Year, new experiences! let's do it!) I should have gone with their gut instinct. The place is a hole in the wall with a few tables outside. That's fine by me. We get the menus and wait to place our order. Service was a little slow, but since this was the only thing in a 5-mile radius open we toughed it out. The kid taking our orders was a little slow on the uptake, but at this point I was still OK with the place. And then...it all started going downhill. When we got there, there was only one other table and they were taking the food to go so we saw them go pretty quick. About 10 minutes after we place our order, another table sits outside and orders. 15 minutes after that, they get their food...we haven't gotten a damn thing yet. We look at the guy and he tells us our food will be right out. Another 10 minutes go by...the guy finally brings out SIL's breakfast wrap and tells us 'I'm just gonna bring this out already cause if I wait for the other stuff this will sit there getting cold'....not inspiring a lot of confidence here guy. She starts to eat the wrap and is thoroughly unimpressed. Oh and with her wrap he brings some shitty croissant ham and cheese crap, tells her it comes with the wrap since they don't have regular bread...oooook...but we didn't see that on the menu. Whatev. He brings out hubby's hot dog and salchipapas. I start to eat some of this since I am starving and it's actually pretty good. The only disappointment there is the fact that the fries are crap frozen Ore Ida crinkle cut fries, but the sauce on them was awesome so I was willing to overlook it. At this point, I had the place at 3 stars in my head and was willing to give them another chance. THEN...the guy comes out and asks us to look at the croissant sandwich to see if there was ham and cheese in it. We said yea and he tells me that's my dish. I said no, that's not what I ordered. I ordered the Munchie's Ham & Cheese Sandwich (on the menu this said special bread, ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, guacamole and herb sauce 7.95) I have no idea what the guy understood from this interaction, but he went back in and said something to the cook. I decide to forgo my meal since this was already a mess and just eat hubby's food. He goes in and lets the guy know. A few minutes later the guy comes back out with two pieces of white bread and some crappy ham that had been grilled and tells me 'there's no charge'...huh? OK, now we are down to 2 stars buddy. After the SIL remarks how this new meal brought out looks like something they would give the stray dogs in the back ally I just place it on top of this shitty crossaint ham and cheese sandwich that was untouched and continue to munch on hubby's meal. We ask for the bill, which takes another 25 minutes to finally come out. Lo and behold, what is on the bill? A 4.95 charge for the stupid croissant ham and cheese crap that no one ordered and no one ate. When I pointed this out to the guy, he acted like this was my fault and I stated that I wanted this removed from the bill. He did so and brought me the fixed check...which I noticed now had tip tacked on to the total. Whatev. Now down to 1 star. To top off this awful evening, a roach crawls by the table and hubby has to kick it away before me and the SIL shout and panic. Oh and of course, when the guy brings me the cc slip to sign without the original bill, it has a spot for me to write in tip and there was no indication of the sneaky little tip he had added on to the total. I just wrote in 'INCLUDED' and signed. Sucky, sucky experience all around. But hey, on the bright side it gave me a review to get my year started on Yelp again :)

On the way home my parents and I decided to grab a quick bite at chicken kitchen. So my dad ended up driving to a place where here USED to be a chicken kitchen lol but we ended up just eating here anyways. To start off with I am on a strict diet so I ordered just lettuce and grilled chicken and the guy charges me $7 for a SMALL bowl of some lettuce and a bit of chicken. WHATEVER! My dad ordered "churrasco" with white rice beans and maduro (sweet plantains). He was REALLY disappointed. The "churrasco" was not churrasco it was like carne asada, my dad is basically a churrasco connoisseur! He knows good churrasco when he eats it and that was NOT churrasco. And his beans were watered big time, just an UTTER disappointment. Felt bad for my daddy BUT I told him you DON't go to a place where they specialize in burgers and hot dogs and order a meal thats supposed to be at a fine restaurant! lol And my mother got a chicken wrap. She was disappointed as well with the small amount of chicken they put inside of it. And my parents ended up paying $28 for that wannabe churrasco and the skinny chicken wrap. RIDICULOUS! Well we learned our lesson. I have to say though the waitress was very nice but unfortunately that will not help the fact that their food and prices suck.

Absolutely horrible. We placed our order online and were told to pick it up in 15 minutes. We get there and they "hadn't received it yet." We waited ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES for two arepas, 4 smoothies and an order of empanadas. What's more, the waitress was very rude and unhelpful and tried to charge us for our order twice. The arepas were clearly frozen and then heated up in a microwave because they were rubbery and hard as rocks, not to mention bland. All the smoothies were watery, chunky, and not cold. They didn't even give us lids for the smoothies. We basically paid close to $50 for sh*t. Everything about this place was downright pitiful. We ended up throwing everything (and I mean everything) away and going to the McDonald's across the street. I will never even come close to this establishment again and I would not even recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy.

We ordered from here for the first time from grub hub for delivery. Worst experience ever!! They were 45 minutes late on top of the 1 hour original estimated time (mind you it's about 10 minute drive from us). The delivery driver was rude about the delay. When we contacted grub hub and they checked the status the restaurant wouldn't give her any details on the delivery time. We ordered smoothies that were half melted by the time the got here. The Styrofoam boxes were melted through completely with a hole in them and the food was cold! I would never eat here again and would not recommend them to anyone!! Way overpriced for what you get!

I am really sad that I am not a fan of munchies, all of my friends swear by this place for inexpensive late night eats. The best thing about Munchies has to be their hours of operation; they are open until about 1 am during the week and 6am on weekends. I think that is pretty awesome. I have been to Munchies twice the first time I ordered their Arepa bites with fries, the bites were just ok and the fries were seasoned and really good. The second time I ordered the regular Arepa with cheese, it was more like Cheese with an Arepa. The entire plate was full of cheese, I am a cheese lover but it was way too much. I also had a Passion fruit juice it was so disgusting, I tried adding sugar and nothing helped. My friends tried it as well and spit it out. I know others that eat meat might enjoy Munchies a little more than I did, but for the Non-Meat eaters out there this is definitely not the place for you. I probably won't be going back.

Place is really close to my job that's the only good thing. Unfortunately they took too long to serve us, with only 3 couples inside. The food was alright nothing out of this world.

Some friends and I stopped in for a bite to eat after a night out on Sobe, I have only heard GREAT things about munchies so I was happy to go along. The food was great, comparable selection to La Moon, and the service is about the same as well. I would def. switch from La Moon to Munchies if the food came out faster but nope- everything is basically... well minus the name, exactly the same as La Moon. Less crowded? Maybe.. same prices, same menu, same service, same wait. Yummy late night treats!

Two stars and that is generous. I ordered the grilled chicken which was dry, although the portion and price were reasonable. Service is slow, but the staff is very nice. Not much to say about the decor or the menu for that matter. It seems like this restaurant doesn't really know what they want to be, fast food, casual, etc. Their biggest problem is that they are in an area with a lot of good restaurants, so there is little reason to come here.

My review is about the cafe con leche and ambiance and comfort. I stopped at this joint when I first moved to Miami; Pequena Havana to be exact. And the only reason was because my friend and I needed WiFi service. I love outdoor seating and imagine I recently moved from Jersey at the time. Starting with the seating, they have the most uncomfortable outdoor chairs. They are those cheap metal ones that you can pick up with one finger. So while sipping some cafe con leche and surfin' the net, your ass hurts. This joint has absolutely no kind of ambiance outside. Inside however had booths but again I wan't looking to dine inside. I ordered cafe con leche and my friend ordered flan. You usually have a pretty good chance at always getting a decent cup of cafe con leche in Pequena Havana or being on the border like this place, but it sucked. Plus the guy taking and making the orders served it cold and opposite of how I asked. The desserts are all packaged ones which is an automatic yuck. Plus the prices are pretty steep for this type of food and quality. I take my cafe con leche and comfort when dining seriously. So this place is a total no go for me.

I've shoud read all reviews before ordering today! we discover munchies when we firs moved in the area and the late hungry night we tried the arepa burger and it was cool, some time after that we passed by for dinner, and there was a mess with the order, we ordered but 15 min later they told me that they don't have a meat cut which i asked for, so i ordered other thing but there my husband's and son's food arrived but not mine of course. the bill came with some strange charges and we were told that it's not our bill. it was several month since last time and today my son had his friends visiting and we decided to order delivery from them as we are near by and it should be fast. and the only thing i can say.... all our sandwiches ( pepito) came without any vegetables. no tomatoes no onions no lettuce..... the order was easy all sandwiches were the same with the only difference of one was without onions and one was without potatoes and with only mayonnaise sauce how difficult can it be? so we got bread and meat. when we called they said that the chef was confused and asked if we want them to send vegetables now. .... what for??? kids already eat i decided to put a review and was surprised how many negative feedback they have and after read some of them i realized that i should be more perceptive before and see the signs. the only good thing it's ours of operations and the portions are huge

I was invited to the restaurant's grand opening and was able to sample some of the items on the menu. Everything was delicious and the menu is well-priced. They're open late, which is a huge plus, especially since there is always a wait at La Moon. I was also able to meet the owners, who were very nice.

I had a late night dinner here a few nights ago after finishing work and I asked the server about the food options and nothing he suggested sounded great for a gluten Intolerant girl, like me, so I just went for the Taco Salad (b/c the picture made it look great). When he presented it, I asked if he was sure it was mine. Firstly, it came with chicken and when I questioned it, he told me that is the way it comes, I had to ask for the menu to prove me right that it should be beef. Then I asked what happened to the shell and he said they don't put a "TACO" salad in a shell at night! WTF?! My "beef salad" was pretty decent which is why I gave it 3 stars but I will never go back. I will continue to get my late night munchies at La Moon.

Ehhhh, not so much. The concept is great, Latin/Stoner food served all night long paired with free delivery. However, the execution is just not there. I tried their hot dog and their hamburger with everything on it, and it pretty much ended up being a lesser version of what La Moon does just a few blocks down the street. The service was good, but until I hear of a good reason to not keep my loyalty with La Moon, I probably won't be returning, which is unfortunate because on paper, this place is right up my alley.

I used Yelp frequently to check for new restaurants, but never have felt the need to write a review until now. I wanted to eat here on New Years after I came back from Ft Lauderdale, but they don't use gloves to handle the food. The 'chef' dropped the bun for my burger on the floor and preceded to put it back like nothing happened. Needless to say I didn't pay for that crap and walked out. I will never be back. My review must have been deleted by Yelp because it wasn't posted whenever I was not logged in. Hopefully it will be re-posted and not deleted again.

If there was a rating lower than 1 I would so click on it! This place is horrible! Customer service is horrendous! They don't serve free water, They took my order wrong 3 times! Brought us an order we never asked for and ontop of that they offered to give us a discount on a order they got wrong to make us pay for it. I will never go here ever again! A better similar place to this one is Los Perros.

I was famished after getting out of the club one night, and the best food I find to calm my hunger is usually a good hotdog or Philly. Now I'm from Chicago and hotdogs are our thing. To my surprise Miami has very little options when it comes to hotdogs. I couldn't find any hotdog place, then again, I wouldn't even know where to begin looking(I'm new in town). So as I'm driving down the road starving to death, I see the [SIGN] "Munchies" and I immediately knew that's where I had to eat. This place is open real late and the waitress there was nice, she was cute too, flirt with me the entire time while waiting on my food. But I'm jumping off topic. Let's go back to the food. I immediately asked if they had hotdogs, which they did. They had like a couple options to choose from as well. I went with the one that had the least toppings because I was afraid I wasn't going to like it. But boy was I wrong. I have no idea what the name of the hotdog was, but it had chips on top, mustard, ketchup, and some other stuff. I can't remember exactly. But that was one badass delicious hotdog hands down. I would have gone back to try the other one that had bacon in it, but I just didn't feel like driving back. I also had their fruit smoothies, which are made with fresh fruit and that's always a plus. You can choose to have them made with either milk or water, all up to you. I felt in love with this place. I would rather go here for fast food over a McDonald's, Burger King or any of those chain restaurants that I don't like anymore.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
