The Corner is neighborhood dive bar meets hipster vibe. Literally located on a corner, you can sit and enjoy a nicely prepared cocktail or a craft beer. They offer a happy hour menu and some lite bites. The grilled cheese was pretty shnazz. They have a cocktail du jour at around$10. Stop on in.

Nice place with nice drinks. Furniture is kind of old and I was kind of disappointed with the people who go there:( But the bar was good anyway that's why i am giving three stars...

Awesome establishment. Tucked away from busy streets. Awesome beers on tap very friendly atmosphere. Had the privilege to meet the owner right off the bat and we got a run down of all the beers. I got the "home town" feeling that we all love. Glad to see Miami isn't all about lights and glam. Place is awesome and comes very recommended.

This place is my home field. I end up at the corner bar as every night out on the town begins to wind down. From the second you arrive, there are friendly and familiar faces everywhere. This is the type of place where the bartenders, regulars, and staff remember you by name. On any given night you'll find the staff here, on their days off, enjoying a beer and spending time with friends. The own bartenders occasionally spin their favorites on the DJ booth, and there is always a cocktail of the week posted on a chalk board. The selection of wine, spirits, and beer here is exceptional. I've never had a drink here that made me question how many it'd take me to feel it, which is really important in my book. Feel free to stop by, even if it's your first time. Tables are normally filled with people who are just meeting. The Corner welcomes all with open arms. The food is pretty good too, I recommend the roast beef sandwich; and if you like craft beers - get a mama's little yella pils.

Great local spot to chill. Very laid back. Great spot to hit up on your way home from a night of partying but you just not ready to go home yet. You must try "THE FAVORITE" with honey drizzle so yummy. You won't retreat it.

The WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You never treat loyal patrons the way they treated us tonight. We are residents of 900 Biscayne down the road and have been coming and bringing good people to this place since it opened and after tonight- never - ever again!!!!!!! I can't tell you how awful it was. I hope whomever is in charge realizes how bad he has it with that staff!!! Very sad- as this will be the last time me and my friends will come to the corner.

Wow. impassive!!! This place is great. The corner bar has some of the best wine and beer selections in downtown as well as a full liquor bar. The staff is amazing and very helpful. The location is amazing right in the heart of Downtown.

If I could leave zero stars , I would. We called to make sure the kitchen was open until 2am. We drove all the way from kendall to this place and got there at 1:40am. The bartender gave us some stupid lame sarcastic excuse that the kitchen was closed and it wasn't up to him but the chef. He was extremely condescending and rude and the place looked like shit. Never going back. What a waste. Please don't go here. They don't deserve anyone's money with their lies and nasty attitude.

I dig the Corner. This chill spot is what I like to call user-friendly. That, my friends, is a big deal in our town, ifyouknowwhatImean.... Exhibit A: Pricing. Exceptionally reasonable Exhibit B: Attitude. Unfamiliarly friendly Exhibit C: Selection. Many bottled brews, full liquor bar including hand-crafted cocktails, & wine by the glass Parking is feast or famine; if you're on 11th Street late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, you'll be hard pressed to find an affordable, safe spot. Then again, you're probably up to no good anyway, so do yourself and the general public a favor and take a cab. It's usually not hard to find parking on the street except during the busiest of club hours, just be careful walking to your car alone if you aren't strapped. The food is a solid 4 stars for price, speed, and quality. Deviled eggs and homemade pickles hit the spot for my snack craving. Bottom Line: Affordable, warm bar with character adds flavor to the Miami bar scene.

I like the chill vibe and the fact that I can wear jeans and a T-shirt to a bar in Miami. The appetizers are tasty and there are a variety of beers. The location isn't the greatest. Initially wasn't an issue for me because I would do street parking right in front of the bar where I felt somewhat safe, but now finding parking is a nightmare thanks to the new nightclub across the street (no fault of the Corner). Happy hour is a nice time to go, but late night it becomes overrun with 20-something-year-old chain smoking hipsters, which just isn't my scene.

First thought that ran through my head upon walking in - "I'm going to like it here" - second thought - "I hope they don't steal my bike" Got there when they just opened I mean spoke to the manager and he said they had just opened up 20 minutes earlier and it was evident 'cause Tasha from the TM Sisters was still putting up the extensive beer menu up on the wall She was up there a long time due to the fact that this small but soon to be very popular speakeasy has well over 50 beers of all sorts and styles The food menu is small but looked to be interesting with small plates and sandwiches with the most expensive item being under $10 The Corner is very small and dark and a great spot to get lost in conversation with someone or a small group of friends There is a double-sided communal table/bar/bench that was cleverly designed that I can see will help folks become fast friends video from opening night youtube.com/watch?v=YlGq…

Thee the place to be if you want to experience the other miami scene. I only visit when its really late at night/early morning. For me its about marinating in this strange place that has no equal. Drinking and pondering the real shit that this world neglects is so easy to slip into on this corner. No one is ever on there cell phone. People are talking to each other. My favorite bar/place.

The apple pie is 5 stars! Sweet with a slight tartness, lightly crispy crust and served with a sliced strawberry both whipped cream and ice cream it is one of the best apple pies I have had. Simple as that! I'm even digging that they customized my grilled cheese sandwich that was customized with baked ham when I wasn't feeling their fancy bistro sammies. The combination of the ham and the two different cheeses (names escape me) had some sweet notes. The bathroom is good looking too, all bright white and looking reminiscent of the original 30s look. I'm also digging the rawp concrete space, and dim lights even the candle the bar tender brought so I could read my paper. Here's where I become the contrarian to the other glowing reviews. Maybe because I was coming from the southern suburbs and was rocking an uberpreppy vibe, but wasn't feeling the street person guy trying to get a buck from me while I tried to park in a tight spot. Music was the other sore spot, as when I went for my early dinner the music playing was a little on the downside for me (Crosby, Stills and Nash?) You guys know I also critique the background music! Prices seemed reasonable, but I'd like to see a little more red meat (even burger sliders?) On the menu. This may be a case of going a different time and crowd I would revise my review. Hey, at least there's always their apple pie!

I've driven by this place often and it's usually packed so I suggested to my boyfriend that we head there one night after watching a movie on the beach. We found parking very easily but it's true, The Corner is not situated in the best of neighborhoods although I wouldn't consider it dangerous. As we walked inside, I looked around at the people conversing while enjoying their drinks and noticed how very hip they are. This bar definitely seems to attract a certain crowd. We found our way to a table and I, based on yelp reviews, ordered the croque monsieur and a slice of pie (can't remember the type). My boyfriend ordered a beer and we patiently waited for the food. Out came the food, I ate it, end of story. The sandwich was mediocre as was the pie. I can recall thinking it wasn't worth the money. I love the look and feel of the place but I just don't think I could ever make it "my" spot. Maybe it's worth giving them a second try for the cocktails but I now know to eat before coming here .

So the bar itself is nice, service is good and servers welcoming, but the location itself makes me fear for my life if I ever decide to return. Lets just say my night began with a bum who approached the car asking for money with the promise to take care of it. They have a nice beer selection but prices for the local are a little steep considering you may have to purchase a new car if yours happens to survive your stay. Food was ok. Simple sandwich with lots of butter but lacking substance. Place has potential, but not worth the risk of not knowing if you'll be living to see another day.

Super laid back, chill vibe, and dimly lit (great combo!), The Corner is a neat little place to kick back a few beers. I was here last Saturday at 3am and it was bustling - definintely an afterhours locale! It's literally on a corner, so you can't miss it - plus the hipster crowd outside gives it away (not to be mistaken with the Space crowd - ew). There are tables both inside and outside, but I believe if you want to eat, they only serve food indoors. And I love that if you're sitting outdoors, there's a counter with a little window that you can just walk up to and order your drinks at (don't have to go inside!); very a la Cuban cafeteria style! One thing that blows is that there's only 1 bathroom in the whole place. So either get in line or go to the back alley!

Am I even in Miami? This is hipster central (think Wynwood but even more condensed). Thick glasses and facial hair styles from the 1800s are all found in abundance here. The great irony though is that on the same block is Club Space, pretty much the antithesis of The Corner. Unlike at Space, at the Corner you will find original cocktails, microbrews, and good conversation. The Corner is the perfect place to go to when all the other bars close late. People will still be spilling out into the sidewalk till 5am.

Hands down my favorite bar in Miami. Open late, good crowd, always good music, and always good drinks and beer. Love all the staff, all of them. Definitely an industry bar, this place gets packed! Hate to see drunk and obnoxious people flash money and credit cards to grab someones attention on a busy night. But the bartenders are professionals and professional about it... wait your turn! Very cool spot, loyal, Corner-ian... even had a good time one day I rarely passed by during happy hour. $3 BEERS!!! 5 stars... they get 4 only because I want better food as it is labeled a "GastroPub" they have the clientele and the beer to do so. Mucho Love, Chef Serg.

Sweet Happy Hour deals! And HH starts early on weekdays - 4-7pm. I love this because this lil' Corner bar is so close to my job and there's always parking in the area. Plus free wi-fi for me to play around with while I wait for my peeps. There's a huge selection of beer and they even have cans of Dale's for $3 during Happy Hour. The menu has light bites and sammies - the two I've tried have both been pretty yumms. The Mediterranean platter was damn good too, if you're in for snacks. Tiny little homemade pickles - you're next on my plate! Don't worry tho Yelps outside of the downtown area - The Corner is open until 8am!! wha?? That's right - in desperate need of a late-night-cap? This is the spot. The bartenders have always been super friendly and they are always pumping a sweet variety of tunes.

Stopped serving food around 2:15am on a Monday... Roast beef sandwich was good, with a zesty sauce and a quarter pickle on the side. Grungy interior with an extensive selection of both beers and liquor. Skater scene with weird rock n roll on overhead. Velvet wallpaper and ugly chicks abound. For the ultimate in clash/irony enjoy Ruinart Blanc d blanc bottles of champagne (inexpensive at $110).

It's a great place to go if you want to be ignored & feel as if you're a burden to the staff. Poor excuse of bartenders. You may know how to mix some tasty drinks that are well overpriced, but you're still pretentious pieces of shit.

It's a cute off the beaten path bar in downtown. No fuss kind of place. The food is pretty good and they have a good beer selection. I would give it more stars, but the fact is the place is very small to house the amount of clients, and the area isn't 100% cleaned up. You gotta be careful with the homeless, vagabonds, and immature crowd that at times frequent the area. Tides turn quickly on this side of town.

Nice scotch and whiskey selection, and nice craft beer selection. Great, chill vibe. Definitely great that there isn't a club vibe and no douchebachary isn't taking place.

Cool local neighborhood hangout. Small, dark, good for locals to unwind. They have some decent beer and wine, bartenders are friendly, small eats, wish they offered a bit more. We came here to meet up with some friends for happy hour and we had a great time due to such awesome company. At one point my friend asked the bartender if she could put some music on because all they had on was a TV, and she said she couldn't because the chef was watching a movie. Hmmm, I was taken back by this because the first time I came here they were playing some great tunes. Sorry but a large group of people do not want to watch TV. We tried the small spinach dip with potato chips, I had some wine. Spinach dip was OK, chips were a unique touch with dip. You come here to hang out with friends not to have a meal. Next time I hope they are playing some good tunes, then maybe I would enjoy our new neighborhood bar a bit more. They have some tables outside but you may get bothered by the guy's begging for cash. Street metered parking does not seem to be a problem finding a space. I enjoy being able to walk right over. So for downtowners, check it out, decent chill spot.

Absolutely love this place! Although located near Club Space and other dance clubs, The Corner seems to keep its intimate-indie-hipster vibe. Since they have a seductive array of beverage choices, a friendly staff and moderate pricing, I would highly recommend visiting this bar.

Went back to The Corner to talk to catch up with my main squeeze, the Elder Statesman - we reconnected, and it was as great as the first time. A few things: 1. Orange Blossom Pilsner! I swear, this beer (my favorite) is starting to get around in South Florida, and I couldn't be happier. My mental roledex of places that serve it is getting to big to keep logged in my head. 2. When I asked for a "Gin-Gin Mule" the bartender gave me a blank stare - which is fine, sure, it's not an incredibly ubiquitous cocktail - but when he asked me if it was just vodka and ginger beer, I lost a lot of faith in him. The name is GIN-GIN. Gin and ginger beer. Come on! (It subs the gin for the vodka in a traditional Moscow Mule, so maybe I'm just being picky). Either way, even after having a mildly disparaging conversation about The Corner with a bartender elsewhere, I'm sticking by it - still love it.

What's open at 4am in downtown that doesn't require shiny new clothes and 10 inch hooker heels? THIS PLACE! After a night of bar hopping in Wynwood this is a perfect place to end the night or start your after hour partying. Either way its a win win situation. THe crowd is very chill and the drinks are inexpensive for downtown standards. You can sit inside all cozy or outside still cozy and get your convo on while listening to some great tunes. It seemed like the crowds from the other bars in Wynwood seemed to migrate to The Corner as the closed up shop as the night went on. See you out there!

If Pottery Barn owned a bar, it would look like this. The place is pretty chill... dim lighting, eclectic beers, and a small patio with a walk-up window to the bartenders. Service was a little cold, but the drinks were spot-on with a decent pour.

This place is so not Miami which is what makes it so great! The drinks are awesome. Bartenders know their stuff and are willing to create a custom drink just for you. Waiter could use a little help in the friendly and attentive department, seriously the guy doesnt seem to want to work. We went a couple weeks ago without realizing it was critical mass so all of a sudden the place got super packed with what seemed to be South American hipsters. Like really over crowded which slowed down service tremendously. Thankfully we were with a nice group in no hurry to leave so we didn't mind. We had to ask the waiter for water several times almost like if it's a bother to serve us. When 4 girls are ordering 4 rounds of drinks and food to munch on seriously it shouldn't be an issue to serve water as well. The grilled cheese was just alright, came out cold but I think it was just due to the large crowds that night because the cheese dip was awesome! i will definitely be back and looking forward to it!

I'm enamored. Just ... enamored! Friendly staff, cleverly made drinks, great beer list at good prices, and even light food that catches my fancy. The vibe is so laid-back speakeasy even when crowded, something I haven't yet seen in Miami to this degree. I saw guys with thick moustaches and bowling hats, short-haired flapper girls, transvestites, plenty of 80's sweaters, and all else letting loose, in a mellow way. As for the aesthetics, I loved the candles on the tables, and even the tall candles on the bar as they do give this seemingly Old World charm a glow. As if the flickering flames were happily whispering to the folks who were there to enjoy the time of their lives, encouraging them on. The oversized mirror over the bar brings a greater view of the room so that we could enjoy looking at the varied happy faces that helped spread the warmth. This place takes me back to the Northeast. The staff were friendly and personal - and would give you a shout out whether you're waiting for a drink, about to leave, or anything to let you know that you're welcomed. And the drinks? There's wine and affordable beers, even if they're imported from Brooklyn, and for the upper echelon, they have tasty drinks that are creatively made - with grapefruit juice, milk, basil-infused honey, or anything of the like for ingredients. And a fine class of liquors ready. With the folks working here having prior experience at Zuma, Gigi, and other reputable Miami establishments, there's no way we could expect any less. The menu of eats seems to be small but classically designed with croque madame, and other light bistro fare that would suit any looking for good bites. I'd definitely try some things out from the menu. Also, I noticed that they have an espresso machine, for those who wants a good cup of java. I'm imagining this place to be a good study spot during its off hours. But either way, it is nice to know that this place will be open for you at pretty much any time, until 5 am in weekdays and even until 8 am in weekends. Whether it's Philly or New York, welcome to Miami.

I went there with my friend. We both work in the industry. We were overcharged and when we asked for the explanation the manager - Paula did not help us at all . She actually asked the security guy to kick us out. We were disrespected and I will never come back there. Paula was very disrecpectifull . When I asked for the phone number to her manager she just walked away saying that " this is how we do it '' It is ridiculous. She should go back to school and learn how to provide proper costumer service .!

Terrible experience. We went here on Sun, 12/30. The only employee told us he only worked once a week. We told him we wanted cocktails and after taking our order he came back to tell us the ingredients for the craft cocktails we had ordered were not stocked. What he made for us was aweful and I paid $80 for 6 "craft cocktails"! Then when we went to pay we were told the point of sale system was down and he had to write down my credit card and contact details and call me later. If you are the owner of this business I would request you contact me to discuss this terrible experience further.

The Corner is not what you expect to find in Miami, in the best possible way. Low- key bar in the heart of downtown, with a great craft beer menu and some outstanding drink concoctions that left me impressed and a little buzzed. I usually hate the word 'mixologist' but it does have some truth when referring to the bartenders here. I, first ordered, the ginger rogering- which was great but I was craving some spice. I expressed this to the bartender and she whipped up a custom recipe. I had a sip and it was exactly what I wanted. Sweet with the perfect spicy aftertaste, just right. I took away a star because of the small selections in tapas and food. But let's get real, you are coming here for the drinks. Smart move.

Cool place. Alright food. But if all you want is a beer and a bite, this is not the place for you. The focus is on craft cocktails, which means the bartenders are slammed and it will take 20 minutes to get your beer order in, yes, even on a Tuesday night. And, if you have a problem with smoke, please, please, avoid this place because the patrons are under the impression--and they may just be right--that they have the bar staff's permission to smoke inside, even though food is served all night. Patrons mentioned Marissa, apparently, as the staff member who said it was ok to smoke and would even be willing to bring out ash trays onto a communal table where food was being served. Even the waitstaff smokes...and blows their cigarette smoke into the small kitchen area to, I assume, take advantage of the hood. Go here if you are okay with cigarette smoke, popped collars, and twenty-some-year-olds loudly and obnoxiously discussing their overhyped sexual escapades.

Another round of dessert brought me to this beauty at downtown Miami's "the corner". This was a sweet ending to a myriad of beers and one offer I could not pass up. In front of me sat a slice of mango pie with cinnamon ice cream on top. It tasted like the kind you would literally have served to you at a family gathering. The crust was definitely not the premade kind you buy at the store and try to pull off as your own. The mango filling was different from all of the common apple, cherry, custard pies we come across. But what I liked most was that mango season is not even in full swing in Miami so the best is truly yet to come. The pie was good but will only get better as Miamian will have mangos coming out of their noses in the summer. As the hotter-er-er months approach, mangoes will only get more flavorful and delicious (if you know the right trees that is:). And the combination of mango with other flavors are endless. I shared this slice of pie and felt optimistic of what was to come in the summer and remainder of the year. Sure, it could have been the buzz talking but hey, I embraced it. Besides, where else can you have drinks followed by homemade pie at 4, 5, or 6 o'clock in the morning (if you are not a baker yourself)? The corner. Now you know. As an aside -- the music is right on-point!

Of course I have to be a fan of the Corner despite it's horrible location. This place is open till 8AM, serves food and has great beers on tap! A weihenstephaner as a night cap is exactly what the doctor ordered this past Saturday when I felt that going home at 5AM wasn't exactly in my plans. The inside is like an old English pub and the dark lighting complements this feeling. Perfect place for us night owls!!

Four of us came here last Friday night after the January Critical Mass ride. As others have mentioned, the neighborhood where The Corner is located is a touch on the sketchy side for now, but this area should improve in time, and even as is I'd have no problems coming here and feeling safe. This is definitely a spot for locals, which is a great find in this city. Though I only had one drink before leaving and didn't have a chance to try any of their bites, as a few others have mentioned, I was definitely surprised by their prices. A few of their 12 Oz. drafts were $3, and I think I had one of the more expensive items listed on their chalk board draft menu; It was a 16 Oz. Crispin cider, and priced out at $7. This place features a variety of cocktails, shaken and stirred by their team of mixologists behind the bar, and their cocktail menu features both classic and "nouveaux" concoctions. They offer a fair amount of beers and cider on tap, and more than 3 dozen bottled beers. They also have an acceptable variety of wines and a few types of sake as well. In all, a laid back "come as you are" neighborhood bar with a varied drink menu and great prices. I'll be back.

Oh yeah, oh yeah... Miami finally hosts a bar that is COOL. Set on the corner of N Miami Ave and 11th Street, The Corner is a neighborhood bar just below the building's art studios and adjacent to Nemesis. Its an escape from Magic City's madness despite its location off the edge of Gold Rush and Space. Its perfect for an after-work cocktail (try the "Ginger Rogering") or a late night beer and bite (go for the "Get My Goat" sandwhich filled with rich goat cheese and topped with roasted cherry tomatoes and basil). The scene is still chill and eclectic so dive in now before it turns lame...

I've been to The Corner a few times now, and I'm planning on catching up with some friends there tomorrow, so I figured it was time to review it. I'm a little reluctant, because it is such a neat little place that I almost don't want to share it. But I do want it to stay in business, so I figured I should yelp about it. There are so few cool places in Miami like this (well except for Wynwood, but The Corner is walking distance from my apartment so bonus points for that). I adore the decor and ambience in general, the service is good and the signature drinks are quite special (though a bit pricey). But the real draw of this place, for me, is the people watching. It's fascinating, and made all the more enjoyable with one of their signature cocktails. I really enjoyed the Death in the Afternoon (Absinthe and Brut Champagne), drinking it made me feel like I belonged in Hemmingway's Paris, and the beer selection is pretty comprehensive and the prices are reasonable (on par with most other Miami bars). They also do a good job of playing awesome music at a volume that is bar appropriate without being so loud that you can't hear your friends.

Wanna grab a drink after 5am?? Let's head to The Corner. This place is open until 8am-ish. Yes, you read that correctly. 8 in the morning. Stopped by here after a night of SoBE bar hopping. The sun is coming up and no one is kicking us out?? I keep waiting for the bouncer at the door to start herding people out but it doesn't happen. Nice!! Granted, the place is located downtown around "the corner" from Space & Gold Rush, so you already know the area is a little shady. As we sat on a bench outside (it was broad daylight at this point) several police officers are driving around the place. Seriously. They were going in freaking circles. We soon realize why... A police officer zooms up to a homeless man and we look over in time to see the homeless guy drop a metal baseball bat. *CLANG!* Whoa. Apparently, he uses the bat to break into vehicles... It was confiscated but he was let go. ?? Don't ask. As for the place itself. It's definitely a hip place. Warm (what looked like coffee colored) walls and a nice bar with candles lit on tall candle holders. This lends a very inviting feel to the atmosphere. I'm diggin' it! They offer a large selection of beers including crafts and I've also heard that their cocktails are quite nice. The beer is pretty reasonably priced. They offer food even at this late hour but I didn't eat. I've heard that their grilled cheese is da bomb diggy. (Yeah, I said it.) I will probably check that out next time. A word of advice: there are only 2 unisex bathrooms here and the line gets long. Don't wait til you can't hold it to head to the bathroom...

New spot for amazing cocktails and a little dessert too. I almost don't want to post a review about them because it may attract more attention to them, and inturn a whole bunch of obnoxious "hipsters". It's well deserved attention though, this place is great... I wish there was more like it in Miami. I haven't had a meal here yet so can't comment on that. So far my favorite drink is the falerno, its quite tastey. Oh and the hot fudge sundae hit the spot. I will be back very soon.

2/3/12 -- It was a random Friday night and I felt like trying out a new place. This bar was a fresh surprise, however it is located in a random / sketchy location in the downtown area near Gold Rush strip club. As I walked in, I noticed my old bartender, Paula from the "Room", there. She is very knowledge about beer and makes a damn good cocktails. They had about 10 signature cocktails on the menu and various craft beers available. I had the "Ginger Rogering" -- with Blos Genevere, Lime, Mint, Ginger, & Jamaican ginger beer -- I was in love. The drink was great. Please note, in full disclosure, I am a big fan of ginger beer. My friend had the "Mogi" - Hendrick's Gin, Lime, Mint), it was spot on. I also tried the "Plantation" -- Plymouth Gin, Basil, Grapefruit, a suggestion from a girl siting next to me at the bar, it was her favorite drink. However, I was not a fan of the "Plantation", it was a little to tart for me and gave me a slight heartburn like feeling. (I guess it was the grape fruit) I was extremely disappointed, when I asked the male bartender if he could exchange out my drink. His response was not what any patron wants to hear "You order it so too bad." His attitude definitely put a damper on my night and I was really offended ( I guess he has not heard about customer service.) After all this drinking & chatting, with some friendly people in the bar, I got hungry. They had a small Bar Bites menu, so I ordered the "Favorite Sandwich" and added the optional egg"Manoles Style". The sandwich was delicious and the egg was perfectly cooked. Also ordered Saison Dupont - a classic Belgian farmhouse ale to wash down the sandwich. I thought they had a lovely assortment of craft beers. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who whats to go out for a drink and hang out with some friends. Overall vibe and the music where great! Only problem was the male bartender who lacked customer service skills, the location, and finding safe parking for your car. Beware of the tons of bums in the area.

I love this little spot. It's a great little gem in downtown for locals. The crowd is a nice blend. They drinks here are really great as is the food. I always get whatever drink is if the week. My only complaint is that it can be a mission to get a drink at the bar sometimes buy no worse than elsewhere I suppose. It can also get pretty hot inside during summer nights. Overall I love this place. Makes me feel like I'm in a bar I'm Brooklyn

Part hipster, part neighborhood bar. I visited this gem on a Friday night around 9 and stayed until the crowd developed around 11. Pros: Attentive bartender, well designed drink specials, full (and I mean FULL bar). I even tried the food (yummy!) which was more reminiscent of a french bistro than the darkened bar in the ghetto in which I was sitting. Cons: Leaving my car in a darkened alley. Price (Drinks 12 and up) Overall good experience

Amazing drinks AND snacks. Really crappy service. I'll throw this place a bone because it was busy happy hour when I went in and the specialty drinks take longer to prepare but bartenders that check their text messages while I am dry and clearly trying to make eye contact is very uncool. I was also passed over 2x while trying to order my first drink and when I spoke up I got looked at like I was a "b***h". This place IS cool and I choose to go there whenever I am in town. The drinks are very interesting and good and so is the food If you ever get served that is. There are plenty of places in Miami. I'll give this one one more shot then i'm out. I have other friends that have gone and gotten crap service as well. If you can ignore this fault then you will like this place. It does have some great qualities.

Good beer at any time of the night. Do you want to keep on partying, hang out or have a beer after 4am when everything is closed? This is the place. Nice people.

Cool spot but it's in such a shady area. They say the food is great but I have yet to try it. I've been there a few times. Perfect to chill there on a slow night. They do tend to get overcrowded with obnoxious hipsters and it then takes forever to get a drink. They don't play music either. That's pretty weak.

I sat at one of the tables outside, drinking a beer, eating a croque madame and randomly spurted out "WHY AM I SITTING OUTSIDE IN THIS TERRIBLE NEIGHBORHOOD??!". I then nodded at the homeless woman passing by and continued to sip my beer, shoot the shit with my friends, and have a great time. I live near the Arena, so The Corner is surely to become my go-to bar in 2012, effectively replacing The DRB. Sure, it's in a sketch neighborhood, but its the new hot spot right now, so its bustling enough to be safe. What's unique: - The menu. Strong focus on cheese sandwiches, which goes nicely with late night drinking. I dug the croque madame. - The ambiance. At least for Miami. Very hip while still remaining unpretentious. A bar I'd expect to run into in every corner of Chicago or NYC. - The layout. Expect to see one long table with stools on either side and be prepared to meet some new friends. Just make sure you park nearby and keep an eye out. This is still a developing neighborhood, and The Corner (and Nemesis) are trying to make it better... so far, so good.

3.5 Stars Great little spot. Strange parking situation. Craft beers at a good price. Crafty drinks at craft prices. The menu looked good and my grilled cheese was hitting the spot. I would love to come back and have some pie, along with some of their other drinks. All in all not bad.

It has a ... medieval ... atmosphere. Which is what I like about it, because it doesn't blast music like other bars. The main source of noise is the chill conversations going on around you. The beer selection is wide, but not overwhelming. I feel that wide beer selections have become gimmicky; the Corner gets the beer selection just right. The tiny menu is a nice touch; it reminds you that you're there to drink, not eat. Most importantly, this place has masterfully combined two attributes: hip, yet homey. I feel comfortable at this bar.

This place deserves 5 stars because there's a lot of work and knowledge behind every drink or cocktail. The drinks are nice and strong and reasonably priced taking that into consideration. The bar has a laid-back antique-y chic feel and the bartenders are dressed appropriately from a cool mustache on a Boss to bow-ties and vests on others. The only issue is one growing in many places in Miami. And that is a forced gratuity - for them 18% after $40. I don't know about you but forced gratuity is an oxymoron and it really sells the place short. I would have tipped at least 20% if not more gladly. Just price it into the menu if you have to. Instead I look like the bad guy if I protest at the sneakiness, so we paid it and left. I hope they'll reconsider this as I do love the place.

Wow, the LegalArt Building has done it again, first Nemesis and now The Corner. What a great addition to the downtown neighborhood. If you live in one of the condos near the AA arena, I promise the corner will be your new favorite hangout spot. Very cute place with an at home, cozy feel to it. Great service, hip bartenders and loads of craft brewskies to choose from. They also have a handful of decent wine options and yummy looking mixed drinks. We came for food too. Started with the Pan con Tomato which was warm and tasty (included four wedges) and had another appetizer, which is now drawing a blank. All three of us in our group had the Crazy Madame. Excellent, although I'm not gonna lie, the one at Miami Arts Cafe IS definitly better. Ice Cream Sundae was good too. Can't wait to go back!

Came here Friday after work because my best friend thought we should get out of our Brickell slump and "try something new". She has taken it upon herself to stalk places in her downtown area that we can venture to. Anyway, this place is out of place so to speak in its area. When I figured out the location I was like.. OH NO. But surprisingly enough this place is wonderful. They have $2.00 BEERS.. yes $2.00 and their snacks are delicious! We had the little sausages and chips.. yummy bar food. We sat outside since we smoke and were just able to lounge and chill. The restrooms, SPOTLESS! YAY! I loved the decor of the small yet very well decorated bar. We met the owner who was super sweet, trendy, type... Nice touch to see the owner at his establishment talking to the customers. I will definitely come here again. The bill.. blew me away this place is super affordable!

I used to love this place, as you can tell from my first review. Then I witnessed someone (identified to me as an owner) put his hands on a woman who appeared impoverished and struggling. She had stumbled in and then stumbled out before being shoved on the sidewalk. I'd like to expect establishments to work on respectful, compassionate and creative ways to help their communities, but I'm not even holding The Corner to that standard. I do draw the line at physical violence, and I hope others will, too. I haven't been back since.

customer service, heres an anecdote! i stopped by with friends after doing the critical mass. i normally hang out by the bar but my friends picked at table outside. it wasnt that packed, but little by little the corner started to get filled up with sweaty hippies. everything was fine, i drank my beer and hung out with friends. that was all, but then one of the waiters came by our table and asked if we needed anything, i said yeah ill get two beers, i have an open tab at the bar. he quickly snapped at me and said 'well then you have to go to the bar and get them yourself'. fine. im ok with that even thought thats shitty customer service (we could have worked it out bro) so i went by the bar and got my two beers. when im on my way back to my table, i bump into him again, i believe his name is ernesto or something like that. someone on my table knew him, but anyways, enrique bumps into me, i spill some beer and then he just stands there blocking me. excuse me. hello? dude, get out of my way. its not like im a giant. just get out of my way. i have a pint of beer on each hand. you have room to concede so i can keep on going my way. im going back to my table to enjoy my friday night! oh but no, this kid actually gave me attitude. de pinga broder...in-fucking-credible. i must admit this little incident made me mad for about 38 seconds.... cause seriously emilio, are you that new to the service industry? heres a tip for you, it will turn you into a civilized person. your quality of life, especially at your workplace will be better if you follow this... here it goes edmundo, if you see someone walking around a crowded space with a couple of drinks, give him/her the space to pass by your side, especially if you are on the way out of the aforementioned crowded space. apply this logic at all times and do it for everyone but especially do it for the customers who are consuming at the establishment where you work serving them. cheers!

Make a right at Gold Rush and a left at what-the-hell-am-I-doing-here-at-night avenue and you will find this place. I've been living in ghetto fabulous NYC for a few years now and this area of Miami still creeps me out. No matter. When you walk inside The Corner, it's like you've been transported to some old time bar. Dark wood, dim lighting, huge mirror so you can stare at yourself in various points of inebriation from the bar...this place is solid. It has an NYC feel. I even spotted a few hipsters. I didn't even know Miami had hipsters. It also had bums, but they're outside. So like New York. I do, however, wish they had more to offer as far as specialty cocktails. I look forward to coming back to Miami and hanging out with friends at this place. It's a hidden gem.

Small dark hipster lounge in the north end of downtown Miami. Good selection of scotch and craft beers. Seating areas inside and out. They have food but I've no idea if its quality. I've had no noticeable issues with service but the small bar area could be a chore to penetrate when the place is hopping. One warning though, it's located smack dab in the middle of a seedy part of town so parking can be sketchy. All in all the place is cool as it reminds me of your typical bar from up north.

This is a great place to come drink after a show at Grand Central (which is what I did). I was not judged for being sweaty and a stranger even gave me something that was either grilled cheese or heaven. I will definitely stop in again!

Much needed local bar in downtown. There is nothing around this area in downtown to just chill out and have a drink. Great little spot, but the neighborhood is a little sketchy. Some might be turned off walking around down there, there's a lot of homeless people around cause there is a shelter just up the street. but once your inside the dark wood and low lights makes you feel like your not in miami. PLUS they have late night bites!

Parking is def sketch. Bar tender a little unfriendly...as in I placed my order & he walked away before getting my friends...yeaahh. But it's def a chill place. The ambiance is great- I went on a Monday or Tuesday night (can't really remember) and it was us, a few other people and the bartender. I would not necessarily want to be here on a busy nice. It was overall a decent experience.

This bar is pretty much perfect (for me) -Dark -Good music -Good beer, wine, liquor AND food selection -Lots of locals -"Divey," but not dirty/sketchy/creepy -Friendly bartenders I've only been once, but will definitely be going back. I hope The Corner does well, but oh man I hope it doesn't get over-run with amateurs and get too crowded.

Would have walked by this place if we hadn't been looking for it! Walked in the dark little bar, and sat down with my group at a long high top table in the back. Easily seats 10, so it's a cool communal spot. Everything is old reclaimed wood from up north, and the place is mostly lit by candlelight, giving you a faint glow with which to order your old fashioned cocktails off the wooden menu. The play a good mix of music, but not super loud, which was nice. It doesn't feel like Miami, which is interesting. There was only one waitress, and one bartender, however, it was nowhere near a full house, and the service was SO slow! We had to flag the waitress down unless we wanted to sit with empty glasses forever. Easily waited 15 minutes just for a draft beer (vary in price, mine was $6, which is decent), 30+ for a salad (Mixed Tomato with Chevre...eh). We didn't come for the beer or salad though, we came for the specialty cocktails. At about $11-$14 bucks a pop, these tiny drinks add up really quick, but they were really tasty and original. (I recommend the Honey Pit). With such an expensive menu, we only stayed until about 11, and even then the tab was high. This was also fine, because we were told you can start smoking inside at midnight. Will probably be back, but it won't be a regular stop, as it's in a weird out of the way neighborhood, with high prices and small drinks.

We went there just before the last Heat finals game at 7pm and loved the place -- almost empty and a great, easy vibe. The cocktails, salad, charcuterie plate and sandwich we ordered were all excellent. The food prices were reasonable, the cocktail prices the usual high-ish Miami rate, only of much higher quality than you normally get. We came back after midnight and the place was mobbed, in no small part because the Heat had just won the 2012 trophy (I don't know how reflective it would be of a normal Thursday). We got our drinks okay but waited forever for the one sandwich we ordered, apparently because their small kitchen was overwhelmed. When I complained that it appeared that some of the waitstaff weren't being very attentive to cooking orders and began to ask for a refund, a guy I assume was the manager saw I was upset and came over, explained the problem, apologized, and refunded in cash what I had paid for the sandwich on my credit card. He also gave me the sandwich which happened to be finally coming out, saying "we're about customer service." Despite the sandwich drama, I was already predisposed to liking the place and his proactive handling of the situation just means that I'll now be a loyal regular An easy-going, well-crafted place like this in this area is a much-needed oasis (ESPECIALLY because of their late hours. In fact, my giving them 5 stars despite the fact that they allow indoor smoking shows you how impressed I was with the place. Now if they can just get rid of the indoor smoking, I'll be in heaven.

My favorite bar! Huge selection of amazing beers (all my favorite Belgians!), yummy food served till the wee hours (not greasy bar food, but healthy yet delish options), friendly and attentive staff. There is always good music playing at a tolerable level, conducive to having conversations with your friends (one thing I really value when looking for a bar to hang at). This is the only place I have been going to since it opened; highly recommend!

Where was all the beer this place was supposed to have? Dope place though. And the fact that it's near my house and I can order three different sizes of my beer of choice works for me. I'll wait for the beer upgrades though if not I'll stick to whiskey. Definitely a chill spot to have a late night get away or a breakfast of champions. Since they have a cafeteria window you can order your beer like you order your coladas. I'll see about their food soon.

I really do like the atmosphere at the Corner - it has kind of a 20s vibe, and the glassware is cool looking. The cocktails are very good and creative, if a bit on the pricey side (like, I guess, regular city prices - $12ish dollars). The happy hour is good: cheap PBRs for the beer and 1/2 price well drinks, no plastic bottles. When I went the music was great -- a little Django Reinhardt here, a bit of Rapper's Delight there. They have little bar bite apps that are pretty cheap and sound super fun, but they are, um, kind of what you get for the price. Like, we ordered a thing of like cheesy dip with chips and it was literally with potato chips - I assumed it would be corn chips - and like not too many of them. The WORST offender was the "deviled" eggs. They were not deviled. They were just hard boiled eggs, cut in half with some sort of mayo on top. Like, if you've already gone to the trouble of hard boiling the eggs and involving mayo, just dig the damn yolk out, mix it with the mayo, and toss some paprika on that shit. God, who knew I cared this much about deviled eggs? But, seriously, that was kind of lame. I can't really speak to much else, because I was only there for happy hour & didn't get dinner, but I will warn you that if you go to that area later at night (I was over there for an art thing once) there's plenty of onstreet parking, but also plenty of people who, like, watch you park and want money to "watch" your car. And there's a big ol' strip club right across the way. Yeah.

This is a great little 'corner bar' I totally would not have found it if I wasn't looking for it. So I am really glad that I did find it. The place is beautiful inside, the woodwork is incredibly beautiful. It is dim lit and the light fixtures are very nice antique looking. The cocktails are amazing. They are crafted with care with fresh herbs and juices, the bartenders really care about how the cocktail tastes. The menu has great snack and sandwich type items, a Chicago hot dog that my husband loved. The sandwiches looked pannini style with a lot of yummy looking cheese. The dessert selection looked really great as well~banana split :) I was trying to stick to my healthy eating so I had a salad with tuna and it was pretty good. The other food looked way better, but as I am trying to lose my baby weight....some how I resisted :( So I made up for it with 3 amazing 'italian greyhound cocktails' instead. If I was eating whatever I wanted I would have had one of the yummy cheesy looking pannini's and a banana split :) We went there around 9pm on a Friday and there was a steady flow of people in and out. The place is open until 8am and they say it gets superbusy around 5am? I would definately be sleeping at that hour!

Literally, as good as it gets. This place has all the makings for what a bar should be. Great location(corner of Miami Ave an 11st nw), great drink and beer selections both bottled and taps, cozy ambience along with an eclectic staff and crowd. Cocktails are fresh and inspiring paired with a great late night menu that serves food past 5 a.m. I am not sure what time they do close up shop but I am sure its well into the dawn hours as every time I have left the sun has been peaking its bright rays over the Bay. With a sidewalk window that you cn order from incase the inside gets a little jammed, the energy of this place literally seeps out onto the street. THis is possibly the best thing that could have happened to this area along with Miami. Before, I would never plan on making any stops here unless I was so inebriated, My judgment was skewered. BOosting the likes of Goldrush, Space, and now the downright shameful 90 degrees, the area was laden with crackheads, pookheads, and people with no flavor. NOw, Thanks to the Corner, there is a great spot to either start your night or finish it. THank you The Corner, you are filling a much needed void in Miami.

In lurrve with this dark little bar, the staff is friendly, the service is excellent and man oh man do the little sandwiches hit the spot. The prices are not at all bad. I have two pet peeves when it comes to where I drink, and the corner addresses them both: lighting and music. A good bar is a dimly lit bar as far as I'm concerned, and the corner may as well be named the cavern or the chamber. Why can't every bar simply just light some candles? It keeps the patrons happy and the power bills low. Then there's the volume of the music. These guys are actually playing music at a moderate to light volume? You mean to tell me I can actually carry on a conversation without screaming at the person next to me? Seriously, I can't believe there's a bar down here that actually gets that part right. And this is where most will point out that the corner just isn't a Miami bar, and while it may be New York at heart or whatever you want to call it, there are still some tasteful Miami idiosyncrasies at work here. For example, aside from the place peaking at 2am, they also stay open until 8am, which is sadistic to say the least. You're not going to find that kind of debauchery in Williamsburg, as those folks are usually tucked in by the time the corner starts popping. All in all it really is a breath of fresh air, and a great addition to the neighborhood. Drink prices are a little steep, but hey, that's not changing whether it be in Miami or New York.

I realize I'm in the minority not raving about this place and I guess if I hadn't read so much hype about it before going, it might be getting 3-4 stars but I can't help it. I was there on a Saturday night from about 9-12.. just for perspective. I've heard the food is pretty decent and didn't have any so I will likely go back and try something cheesy, eggy and gooey to see if we can up the stars. I also have to say that I was there with an ex-bartender self-proclaimed mixology snob so that may have tainted my opinion some. Sharing drinks with someone full of criticism may not be the best way to give an unbiased opinion! The place is what it sets out to be.. a non-pretentious, antique-looking hole in the wall. It lacks originality in general...although for Miami, it IS in the minority which is why some people might think it is so fantastic. Very Brooklyn. I scoured the walls for something uber interesting to look at but the only thing to interest me was the beer list.. which I did enjoy very much. The mixed drink prices, I think, are high in light of the fact that I had to keep an eye on my car the entire time I was there to make sure no one broke in. My drinks were "meh" (Elder Statesman and Death in the Afternoon). My friend complained to the bartender when she started mixing a Sazerac with the wrong rye and she looked like a deer caught in headlights. She had no idea what was wrong. The ingredients are written on the menu but she said the menu had been recently updated.. which isn't an excuse since the bartenders (of all people) should be well-aware what the drink menu says! Once it got late, service got a little slow for the non-regulars, as most of the attention was diverted by our (female) bartender to the Ladies at the outside window. All that being said, I think it deserves a return visit... with other people. If my experience changes, I will definitely change my rating. For now, too much freaking hype for nothing....

I am sad that I do not remember any of the names of the drinks I had here last week but I can assure you that they are well concocted drinks made with love. The ambiance inside is nice but it's also nice to sit outside and people watch the downtown dwellers that lurk the streets at night. Loving this new spot. Reminds me a lot of the bars in San Diego and Portland. WE NEED MORE BARS LIKE THIS IN MIAMI!

Stopped for lunch before Basel. Had a great croque monsieur - tasty, and perfectly sized. My wife had the corned beef and she liked it as well. Cool, unpretentious spot, with good sandwiches and coffee. We didn't try the beer but will next time. Very good service too from Lisanne.

This place is really nice and its brand new, if you are leaving any nightclubs around the area and want to grab some nice cocktails or craft beers and a bite, this is your place. Its conviniently open til 8 am for all the night owls. Do try the honey pit! Danny is a great Bartender, so is the blonde one(forgot her name) Tell all your friends, this is the exact vibe we need in the middle of downtown, a bit of affordable class.

The bar was kinda small but definitely a place to chill and relax. The bar setting was very cool and the workers were very nice. The inly bad thing is we went for food but apparently the servers just didn't show up and he bartender said the kitchen was closed. But someone ordered food to go and took it right in front of our faces. But i would still recommend this bar if ur looking for good and classy drinks

Amazing sandwiches!! Funny thing is, my favorite sandwich in Miami is actually located right at "The Corner" and it's called, "The Favorite". This is the perfect spot to hit with friends for a quick, casual dinner and drinks and then hop over to Space Club down the block. There's also live music throughout the week, I believe. Such a nice treat! They also have a variety of beer and bunch of cocktails. Highly recommend!

I get that the homeless people and shady customers are part of the "vibe", but when I paid $9 for a beer plus tip and the bartender took out the bottle and a glass and handed it to me and wouldn't even pour the beer, it was just too much. I wouldn't have tipped him if I knew it was self-service. In fact, I would've skipped this overpriced, sketchy, nasty place and gone elsewhere. And the obnoxious guy speaking loudly in a bad fake Irish accent with a top hat? Just, no. Oh, and the "great food" everyone raves about? Ha! What a joke. I ordered a grilled cheese because I was starving when I got here and wanted some basic bar/comfort food. A child can cook a better grilled cheese than they can. 2 burnt flat pieces of bread and a 1/2 slice of what was probably kraft in the middle. With 5 or 6 chips sprinkled on the side, they shouldn't have even bothered, it was just ridiculous. When I asked the guy who brought me the sandwich if it was typical for bartenders to not even pour the beer after you tipped them he just gave me this look like "what the hell do you want from us", shrugged his shoulders and said "I'll tell him". I don't understand the hype at all, this place is nothing but an overpriced dive bar trying too hard to be "classy". Wins the award for worst-but-most-recommended bar in miami.

One of the coolest bars in Miami. Had avoided this place for awhile due to the sketchy location (there are still a lot of homeless right across the street); however, the area is slowly gentrifying and is being cleaned up. Love the Aadams family feel here. Candles and very intimate. Think this would be a great place for a date. Tip: Use Uber to get here. i still would avoid parking my car in the neighborhood.

I've had some really good times at The Corner, plus some really good drinks and solid food. You have to love their style, a mix of bar bygone eras and new trends. It is a chill place to gather with friends while sipping delicious, craft cocktails and/or beers. And their food, although simple and straightforward never disappoints. However, this place's biggest perk is that is open until really late (or really early depending on what your description of 6am is). So if it's already 3am on Saturday and your brain has somehow tricked you into thinking that you're in your teens again, tricked you into forgetting that life's too short to give away your few, always fleeting sleeping hours, head over to The Corner (sorry Denny' s); it will be gladly waiting for you, loud and full of other drunkards...err, insomniacs...

They do a good job with specialty drinks and the bar decor is right up my alley, but the location of this bar kills it for me. You get hipsters and such, but you also get a lot of ghetto degenerates. I've even been solicited by prostitutes here. No thanks.

Great ambiance for hanging with a few friends in a Friday night. Attentive server and good cocktails. Expensive like all Miami cocktails, but at least they were decently strong. Had the cheese and charcuterie plays too and it featured a surprising amount of bread and good cheeses, so really perfect to absorb the cocktails.

Get the pan con tomate! Ah such a simple thing, but it's crack I tell you! Crack! Garlicky deliciousness. Haha and add prosciutto! Large selection of beer on tap and in bottles for decent prices. This place is open wayyy late, 8am! Bartenders were a little rude at first and you can tell some of them really don't enjoy their jobs :( when we first walked to the bar and asked for the menu the girl held her finger up at me to tell me to wait before even saying anything. She apologized after so at least she realized. The other bartender I guess is more of a cocktail guy? Or just judged us and thought we didn't know anything about beers..when we asked what he had on tap because we couldn't see, he responded with "dark, light, IPA, etc" My friend and I looked at each other incredulously and we're both thinking.."uh can you be more specific? Names?! Breweries?" We still had a good time regardless. It was pretty packed all night. I was just happy with my beer and pan con tomate! :)

Much like John Deering's Vizcaya was an ode to the Italian villas of the Renaissance, the Corner's speakeasy style was seemingly brought brick-by-brick from Williamsburg, Brooklyn. In-the-biz workers clamor to get timeless concoctions fused from house-made liquor infusions, local fruit and a museum-quality collection of 18 types of bitters. Whatever the staff is putting in your drinks is in plain sight on the bar and they only use fresh ingredients over commercially produced sizzurps and flavorings. In the same vein as Giorgio Rapicavoli's pop-up bar, Drinking Room and permanent pop-up, Broken Shaker -- this is a bartender's bar. The concept of mixology is alive and well here and customers can expect a lot of mustache twirling and smoothing of steampunk outfits while they decide on an ever-changing line-up of rotating taps and cocktails. The Corner also offers rare large format beers, craft soft drinks, wine and bubbly by the glass. The kitchen serves a cosmopolitan menu of comfort foods like Croque Madame, Deviled Egg Platters, Pan con Tomate plated with Manchego or Jamón serrano and the occasional paella cooked onsite. Their location in downtown has benefited from a recent economic and cultural facelift thanks to hosting the filming of Rock of Ages. Now it's possible to hop to the Corner for an aperitif, skip next door to Nemesis Urban Bistro for dinner, jump over to Grand Central for a show, dance the night away at E11even and head back to the Corner for a nightcap because they're open as late/early as 8am on weekends! There's no typical crowd at the Corner, you'll see everyone from Critical Massers to Heat fans celebrating a win. So bring your human or canine compadres to meet and mingle with the regulars, while enjoying half-off Happy-Hour from 4-8 pm including select drafts and high quality well liquors. Regular pricing is steep for the area and occasionally you'll have to pop a bartender's inflated ego, but other than that this is craft cocktails at Miami's best.

One of the best bars in "lower Miami". Incredible eats and amazing cocktails- all made fresh to order. One of the most interesting things about The Corner (aside from its sexy dim interior and 100s of beers) is the crowd. On any given moment you will find bikers, hipsters, millennials, and more chilling inside and out having a good time. +5 for the walk up window.

Another reviewer said it best already. In a large Northern city this place (or more accurately what this place is trying to be or represents itself as) is what we simply call "a bar". They're doing nothing special here, and they're doing it poorly. On my visit the service was about as bad as it can be without being outright insulting. Insanely slow and inattentive. Do not go here hungry. Do not go here if you actually know anything about cocktails (bartender had to look at the menu to see what was in the drink I ordered - WTF?) I went way out of my way to go here for what I took to be legit cocktails based on the other reviews - big mistake. If you want cheap craft or macro beer in cans, and it's convenient - then go here for happy hour - that's the two stars. In closing: If you're a (self-proclaimed) "craft" cocktail bar charging $13 a pop I'm gonna go ahead and expect my water in a real glass.

They tried to charge me $8 for a $6 beer, when I told them to correct the check, they told me that for debit and credit cards they had a $10 minimum so it makes the difference, I paid in cash and left. Bartenders are very unfriendly (probably as a part of being a hipster bar). Location is pretty bad as well.

This place helps fill a void for when clubs are closing late at night and people want to wind down not turn up and go to another club or whatever. It gets a big rush around 3 / 4 am just because of this, but relax be patient get your drink talk about your night maybe even get a bite to eat. For an afterhours place the food is very good, it's not just your typical bar food there are some pretty nice item's the medditeranean platter was outstanding. The bartenders really take pride in their drinks when making house recipe's and I appreciate that much. You may need to wait an extra second sometimes but trust me you can't rush perfection!

I'm visiting from Oakland in the Bay Area - where mixologist take pride in their cocktails. The "bartender" wearing a floral hat and goes by the name "Sleeper" according to the receipt from last night, needs to wake up!! His horrible attitude is a reflection of his work, the absolute worst cocktails I've ever had. He was so rude and condescending while behind the bar and has no customer service skills. He needs to be demoted to a bar-back.

I'd been hearing about this place from some friends and finally went last night. I don't get it. They barely put any effort into the place. It looked like they got the furniture on sale at Big Lots. The only saving grace was the bar itself - beautiful. Otherwise, it's dirty, dingy and boring. The staff could care less. It took us forever to get one drink. I've never seen bartenders move so slow. And that's all we had - one drink and we were out. What a disappointment.

Mixed reviews here. Stopped in with friends for a couple drinks. The place was dark. Too dark. I could barely see anything in that tiny space. I always get excited when I see a vieux carre on menu. So, naturally, I ordered it. Spot on! Perfectly diluted. The citrus was brought out nicely in flavor and aroma. Just excellent. The sazerac, on the other hand. There was just too much absinthe poking through for me. If you're into that licorice taste absinthe is good for, this drink is for you. Not I.

As I stood there watching the one bar-tender construct one single overly fruited and presumptuous cocktail over the course of 5 minutes in front of a mostly empty bar with 3 others standing around waiting and waiting I pleaded in my mind to the other patrons to just order a damn beer! But alas, the next dufus ordered some alternative overly-fruited cocktail and at that point I decided to sit and wait 10 minutes until some people cleared out. Afterwards I ordered 4 beers for myself and a couple waters and closed the tab immediately in order to avoid another long wait. The space itself is pretty cool and comfortable. My friends that were eating expressed a little 'meh' with their food orders but I can see some potential here as I thought the space was nicely decorated and comfortable.

We went there after going to the Art Museum. It is a short walk and was a great place to grab some cocktails and refreshing bites to compliment the amazing art we just saw. Definitely recommend it if you are visiting the Art Museum or nearby. We went around 5pm and it was nice and quite. Closer to six and it was getting very busy. We didn't stay for more than one drink, but from what I see, you could easily arrive at the wrong time and have to wait a bit for a drink or food because of the amount of people.

5 based on owner who offered to make something special, the cool music and the atmosphere. Drinks were fantastic! We wanted meat and cheese and the owner create a spectacular cheese platter. He said he didn't have much but was a good at throwing something together. Under promise and over deliver... A lovely selection of hard and soft cheeses and everything in between with a wide selection of thinly sliced prosciutto, honey, olives, pickles and French bread. And the music is terrific. I love this place! My husband is having surgery nearby. Our hotel is a little over a mile mile away. We walked over. About half way there we saw the signs for Overtown. I started to recognize street corners from The First 48 tv show. We felt perfectly save at The Corner and really enjoyed ourselves. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants an adventure and likes cool, new experiences.

The late-late night spot in Miami! Always open and always a good time. I take all friends visiting town here to hang out and enjoy a few drinks. It's a unique spot. Very casual, a bit dark but full of character. It reminds me local bars in New York, that only locals know. If you feel like $13 is a lot of a cocktail in the year 2015, you are probably looking for a bud-light (which is ok!) but chances are you're not going to find that here.

So turns out I'm starting to become a regular here. There is a good reason for it. Good food, and good moods. I am guaranteed to enjoy myself here. And the selection of beers is always a plus. (I really like beer.) the most important thing that keeps me coming back is the service. Desiree is amazing and takes care of you. Even though it gets busy and you may have to wait a bit to order, her warmth and awesomeness makes it worth the wait. Top 3 things about the corner are the vibes, the drinks, and Desiree.

The Corner is a Miami late night staple. Period. It's like Cheers with less lighting and younger peeps, and a tad bit more diverse. You're likely to see regulars who come here a few times a week, or else a few times a month, as its a usual drop by spot to end the nights festivities. And by night I mean 6am. The inside is a dark T shaped room, with the dance floor/seating to the right, a high communal table in front of you with the bathrooms behind that, and the bar to your right. The bar has just about everything you can ask for and the cocktails are amazing, really. Also -- bartenders are especially cute. Most people are drinking beers and cocktails because of their extensive beer menu (although you may have to squint but it's above the bar to the right) and there's also a window outside to order drinks if you don't want to come inside and get through the crowd. There is also seating outside; more than a few tables and chairs and a bench. Seating varies depending on what day it is and the time, but there's usualky somewhere to sit, although there will always be a bunch of folks standing and socializing. This is a casual dig -- no need to come here in some fancy dress. As an after hours dig, it doesn't get any better. I miss watching the sunrise as we all headed home. Fresh air, a mixed crowd, and good drinks -- be thankful. There will be a couple douches, but it's Miami. If you see Chuck from Boston tell him Saha said hey !

This place is great. My girlfriend and I dropped in for happy hour and got a couple of seats at the bar. The drinks were delicious and crafted with great detail. My Kentucky Tulip had fresh raspberries and was out of sight. We also ordered up a Chicago dog and a Mediterranean plate which came quick and was surprising very very good! My advice if you want to check this place out for the first time is to go during the week. It fills up quick on the weekends and you have to have patience when ordering a crafted cocktail.

I'm totally late. I'd heard about The Corner for years but I discounted the stories as overselling the joint. My mistake. The Corner is a vital part of the Downtown landscape and the craft cocktail scene in Miami. I know that some places on the Beach get more play, but The Corner consistently shows folks how it's done and would, seamlessly, fit in to the bar movement in SF or other cities. The speakeasy vibe and effortless cool envelop customer and bartender alike. You need to come here. While I'm a beer man (and there is good beer to be had here), the cocktails are what put this place on the map. The menu is broken up in to classics and new twists/inventions. Being someone who vacillates between the two, I chose La Floridita (or, I think, a Hemingway daiquiri). Rum, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and a maraschino cherry served in a cocktail glass. If this was a drink good enough for Hemingway, I felt, in no way, was my masculinity compromised for drinking any kind of 'rita.' There's plenty of outside seating but forgo that, if possible, for a seat inside. The dark lighting and wooden chairs will add an element of classy mystery to even the most mundane of evenings. Skip the throngs of friends and come here solo or with one other person. What's going on at The Corner deserves your full, rapt attention. I dropped the ball when it came to giving The Corner its due (and my money/time). Don't be like me. This is one of very few instances in which that sentence will ever be written. Heed it well.

For the morenita that's working the morning , p.m early shift .. Just wondering .. Did u add the service charge bc u thought we weren't going to tip or bc you gave bad service and knew maybe we possibly wouldn't tip? (I heard u ask the other bartender to add the service charge.) My point is today would of been a wonderful experience if the bartender wasn't in such a hurry taking my orders or at least caring for what i wanted to ask. I always felt like I had to beg or was a bother to ask her for stuff. The reason why I give three is for beer and food. That was the best part. Anyways I don't believe in bad vibes or writing bad stuff but I honestly hope the lady working looks at this and knows I am such a sweet nice person who works in the industry and knows what proper good service is!! Please be considerate in people actually learning in what ur bar offers and questions they may have. DONT JUDGE A BOOK MY ITS COVER !

Went in the other night, Friday the fifth around 1am, and was disappointed. Left without having a drink and having s bad taste in my mouth. I brought my friend with me; it was his 1st time so I talked up the place. Ordered 2 Moscow Mules from the bartender, hipster type, and drinks were not very good. We only tasted them and asked him to make them again. He had an attitude, took the drinks away and decided he didn't want to serve us. Not sure if other bartenders caught on to what happened but we then were ignored by all the bartenders. We couldn't even get a beer. I've been there several times and always enjoyed myself. So, I was a bit surprised by this. My friend definitely does not want to go back and now I will think twice about it.

We came on a Saturday afternoon a little after it opened up to watch one of the World Cup matches. I was warned before hand about the neighborhood, but didn't find it to be a big deal. They have locals come by for things like using the bathroom, getting water or buying cigarettes. I'll admit I'm a sucker for a place with signature drinks, so I gave in and wanted to try their pisco punch. Unfortunately, they didn't seem to have quite a bit of ingredients due to the night before so I had to pick another drink. It was a spicy tequila drink which was really good with a slight kick which I enjoyed. Unfortunately the bartender informed me they didn't have enough ingredients to make me another, so I had to pick something else again. As for food, we ordered the smokey weenies to hold us over until our dinner plans and also because when we tried to order the Corner's Nuts, we were told....you guessed it...they didn't have it. All in all, the inside of the bar is awesome, our bartender was a nice fellow and they had two TVs so we could watch the match. I'd definitely have given this place a better rating if they could manage to have more of their menu available.

Ahhhhhh. The Corner. How do I love thee. Let me count the ways: 1. For that cool-ass English bartender with the vest and the hipster 'stache. One star! 2. They play bebop and rhythm and blues. Not freakin' Kenny G and Trey Songz! I'm talking about Thelonious Monk and King Floyd. Two star! 3. It's popular, it's well-known, it gets impossibly packed late at night, but if you go at the right time, you can go to a corner and listen to Billie Holiday with one of the delicious concoctions they make. Three star! 4. The place looks like something out of a Humphrey Bogart film. It's dark, tiny and in a sketchy-ass neighborhood. The faint of heart need not apply. Four star! 5. Shoot, I forgot what my fifth star was for. Oh no, I remembered! It's for the yummy-ass cheese plate, wooohoooooo! Five star!

Bartenders preferred to spend 5 minutes chit chatting with certain people while dozens of people were waiting for drinks. This place seems to attract Miami's worst at around 4 AM.

Ambience, music, awesome cocktails, and an extensive beer list --- what more could you ask for? The decor and laid back vibe is warm and welcoming. Regardless of what others say about the surrounding area, there is nothing threatening your safety. Is it a new multi-million dollar development like every other place in Miami? Nope. And I like it like that. Personally, I've had some late nights at The Corner because its one of the few late-night (I'm talking 5,6,7,8am) casual spots to go to and not have to deal with bull****. Bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. Every review about the Corner's cocktails are spot on, they're always made with the proper care and quality you'd expect when ordering custom cocktails and custom cocktails made with proper care and quality take time.

I love the idea of The Corner. The dimly-lit, laid-back vibe, the coolness of the space, the unassuming, off-the-beaten path location, the quality drinks. It all speaks to me. The only thing that The Corner has failed me in is the absolute seriousness of the bartenders. The notion that mixologists are pretentious and unapologetically unhumorous is unfortunately executed quite well here. Sitting at bars, ordering a few cocktails and exchanging friendly chatter with a bartender is one of my favorite things to do! At The Corner, I've sat at the bar, nearly never been welcomed, and plainly asked what I'm drinking only to never be addressed again. The drinks are really great and the bartenders are super skilled, but I just wish it was a place that could crack a smile. Loosen up, it's just drinking!

Cam here late on a Saturday (around 1am-ish). Left around 6am. People were still around. a LOT of people. Apparently they have a 24-hour liquor license. Drinks were solid; didn't get any food here. We sat at an outdoor table with a couple of other people --- I do like that people are willing to share tables and talk to one another in Miami more than in New York. Just a very eclectic vibe. Bartender we met ended up adopting a dog that night around the corner from here (from a homeless person). Yeah, it was an interesting night.

This place has gone downhill since it got trendy. I knew this would happen. I used to love coming here because everyone was so friendly, and it was a great atmosphere. Now the service is terrible and the bartenders are rude. I also had an incident with an employee and called and emailed the manager, no response. I think it's under new management because it's a totally different vibe now.

Stopped in here this past weekend while walking through downtown after Billy Joel concert. The inside was ridiculously dark. We ordered a round of drinks and sat outside. Drink was good. Crowd is a mixed bag of weirdness. Had a long conversation with some dude who talked with his hands way too much but he was harmless. I would wander back here again.

So I stopped by the other night. I though it was great. I'm so happy to have a place open way-late! When I go out , depending on my mood, I look for cozy place where it's dim-lit enough for privacy, yet, music not-too-loud that I can carry a conversation with people. I definitely can't stand bright establishments. This was spot on. DJ Zehno played non-stop amazing jamz, some of which I haven't heard before. I can't find them anywhere else. So yes I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy some evening time company, out of South Beach. Now my BLT sandwich I had was great, only thing, I could hardly bite through the tough bread. (I'm not a fan of toasted bread.) The Bartender Anthony was very kind, and he served me the most amazing cocktail: La Tacubaya (Ocho Plata Tequila, Green Chartreuse, Lime, Hibiscus, Agave, Habanero Bitters) For this, I am definitely a FAN!!! Was a wonderfully balanced summertime drink. I know I could have many of these, and feel OK. I am a fan of Hibiscus, and Peppers. I can't wait to try their other cocktails. So I will be back soon, and I hope to see you too. I hope this place never goes away; It would be missed.

Overpriced, stale pita bread & bad service. The only thing they have going for them is the cool deco and ambience. I'm pretty sure the drafted beer was watered down also. I have no idea why they have so many good reviews.

Super overpriced with horrible service. The only good Happy Hour price were their bottled beers. Their 7$ happy Hour Draft beers were watered down. Fabian was my server. I'm a local and I'm never going back there. Worst Happy Hour Pricing I've seen.

Ohhhh the corner, what a joy you are. I love this place, old style bar with scruffy men in vests behind the bar serving hearty drinks. It's pretty much the solution to a long days work. Some of the drinks use fresh ingredients which a nicely displayed on the bar so you can see how fresh they are. The beer selection is good, they have a few drafts that change seasonally which is really nice. And the nifty little order window on the side is perfect for those impatient people who don't want to go inside. There is outdoor seating but if you go early for an after work pick me up and sit inside its quite nice with the dim lighting especially at the family style bar table. One of my go to places for sure! Oh I almost forgot, the food, yea well it's also just as good as the drinks!

A great spot in the heart of downtown Miami, The Corner is definitely a real sweet bar with great drinks and a wide selection of beer. A very big hipster hangout, but still great nonetheless if you're just looking to chill out and meet some cool people. I've always loved coming here and will continue to do so. Gotta love the Corner!

This place is hella dope. Super friendly bar staff and drink prices are right on point. Awesome beer, good tunes, fun atmosphere and the FOOD! OH MY F****** GOD THE FOOD IS AWESOME!!!!!! Super stoked my wife and I found this place while we're vacationing in Miami. Felt good to escape the plastic Miami Beach scene and be around real people. This place is a must.
