I have been meaning to write a review and now is when I get the chance. positives are the salad bar! One of the best salad bars you can find in Miami. Now I can't talk about all of them but after the salad bar that's it. The food isn't tasty . The macaroni and cheese is the one you put with water and has no taste. The pizza is not tasty at all. Then you have breads and soup. How much can you really eat of this? This place is too expansive for what it offers . I was embarrassed bc I know there is another location in ft lauderdale that was amazing so I brought my cousin to this location .She and I were so disappointed.

Up to now every Sweet Tomatoes that I have frequent are the best place to have a fresh salad, Soup or other items in their Menu & we have been at their Dade County or Broward Restaurants. We like their Soups, (the best is that you could mix them & have new flavors) The special made salads, (Caesar Asiago or Asian & Greek Classic or they have all the vegetables to made your own with their dressings). Now been a Senior Citizen we where on special lunch price of $7.49 that include fountain drink. (Monday to Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.) Thanks Sweet tomato for a Great Lunch, by the way this special runs Monday to Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. ENJOY. Must try their Focasia Bread with their Salads or Soups, Deliciously Yummy.

I feel like this is a 3.5 stars kind of place. It's like the salad bar at Sizzler and Ruby Tuesdays was emancipated, and began charging $10 a head. It's great to pop in, fill your plate up with salad, and have a lovely bowl of soup. There's even a little baked potato mini bar. The bruschetta bread was a sleeper hit for me as well, I wasn't expecting to like that so much. Feeling extra squirrely? The fro-yo machine and sprinkles has your back. But at the end of the day, it's a salad bar. How high can you really rate a salad bar?

A little disappointed in this store. First time here. Pretty good; however, they had almost no protein soup options...no chili or anything. With all the talk about protein and how important it is in the diet, you'd think they'd have a few more offerings. Not the case here.

This place is as good as it gets. Price, quality, cleanliness, customer service and taste, this place is quality. I go to the Sweet Tomatoes with my family and boyfriend almost every Sunday. We go around noon and we are never in a line and we get a table right away. First, we go through the salad bar line and the vegetables are always fresh. I have never had a problem with any of the ingredients. The restaurant does not have a lot of protein so it is a great place for vegetarians or even vegans. The next part of the restaurant has bread, muffins, flat breads, potatoes, sweet potatoes and soups. My dad mixes the soups together, and my boyfriend makes a delicious chili using the condiments from the potato section. The food is simple, yet you can make it any way you want to your liking. They have so many different dressings that it is hard to make a salad that you don't like if you make it yourself!! I also love the desserts. I go for a light muffin or the soft serve. I love coming here, because I make it myself and I eat as much or as little as I like. Another tip -- Sign up for the e-mails and you will have great coupons!!!

Very nice and healthy salad bar selection right as you walk in. They always have their Chili and 7 other soups, baked sweet and regular potatoes, 3 pastas 3 cheesy flatbreads, regular breads and muffins, a chocolate lava cake, fruit and old school soft serve. There is enough variety to please just about everyone but not if you are a hard core carnivore!

I've been to many Sweet Tomatoes. We love this place. In the last 3 weeks I have eaten at a ST at least 5 times from Orlando to Miami. Although this one wasn't the worst one I have visited. It loses a star because there were no tomatoes at the bar for at least 45 minutes. No tomatoes? C'mon Sweetie, get your act together! Tomatoes should be rolling off that salad bar onto the floor for god sake! I watched while the red wine vinegar was refilled expeditiously. The red cabbage, although not empty, refilled in a flash. And the beets! The sliced beets on one side remained empty as was the thousand island dressing container, it ran dry. Lastly, the Mac and cheese remained empty for what seemed like an eternity, but was eventually replaced by the time dessert was being sought. The line was served by one cashier and it seemed like forever getting to the end to pay. Aside from the above inconsistencies I'd say this ST was good. The positives were the service staff were attentive, drinks cold, tables and silverware clean and they had a massive pile feta cheese.

Great place for all you can eat salad! Consistent with other locations I've been too.

This place SUCKS!!! The service and people are horrible!! They always run out of food and then it's a 20-30 minute wait for it to get restocked!! If you know you're busy, why wait until food runs out to put it in the oven. Especially the cakes that take a long time to bake.

Stopped here last Saturday night after a long day of a CrossFit competition. We were staying at the Country Inn & Suites, so we ventured over to find somewhere quick where we could be both healthy and unhealthy. I've been to a couple other Sweet Tomatoes location and this one was pretty much the same as the others. They have consistently decent food. I really like that I can have a huge salad, then indulge in some pasta, bread, and ice cream afterwards. All employees were really nice, especially the woman who was busing the tables - she was super nice! Always bring a coupon with you when you come here. There are coupons everywhere, even if you just google it before you walk through the door (as I did), they will scan the coupon straight from your phone. Sweet Tomatoes, in general, isn't anything special, but this was a nice location.

I have been to ST several times in the last two years. I usually use a 20% discount from online sites I come across, have never paid full price. DO NOT**** Go during peak hours (peoples lunch time) it Is very busy. I like the salad selection and the fact that they are strict about one getting new plates when reserving salads. In regards to other foods, I enjoy the soups at times, other times, they seem to be missing taste. It's a hit or miss. The rest of the things Mac and cheese/pizza are very bland for my taste, but my 3 year old eats them without compliant---then again, she is not very picky. Unless you are a soup/salad lover, I do not recommend this place. I have also picked up a few ice cream bowls that were not clean properly, same with utensils. This has happened in more than one occasion. Bathrooms are usually clean. They give seniors a discount, so be sure to ask for that if you are one.

Sweet Tomatoes is another restaurant chain, which offers a healthy twist on the "all you can eat" buffet concept. The largest variety is with the salads/greens. After that, there is a small selection of about 4 types of soup, and half dozen varieties of breads/muffins. For the sweet tooth, there's a froyo/ice cream machine, and a handful of toppings. This particular location is one I've gone to on and off while visiting family in Miami, and it's always clean, well lit, with fresh food and friendly staff. I give it 5 stars because of this. Could the buffet be bigger? Perhaps, but I don't think that is what Sweet Tomatoes is about. If I wanted a huge pig out buffet I'd go to Golden Corral (which I am NOT a fan of). There are coupons offered frequently, through the newspaper and online as well. And there is also a rewards program that you can sign up for!)!

Good healthy foods on the affordable side. Good thing there's one of this in Miami!.... Location is IDK I just do not like it the one in Pembroke Pines has a better atmosphere and looks much better even though is old

When you're not really sure where you want to eat, this is the place you should pick. It's very simple yet satisfying. The salad bar is huge and they change their culinary themes every month. The other great triumph of this place is their soups. Homemade, fresh soups that change up every so often (my favorites are the tomato and chowders.) A great place to go when you're hanging out with your annoying vegetarian friend(s.)

Oh how I love a salad and other fresh goodness! So you get in, get a tray and a plate, and make your own salad using their fresh ingredients. They even have three pre-made salads that you could choose from. Once you go through the salad bar, you pay up and sit down. Later on, you get to help yourself to their range of soups, baked potatoes and sweet potatoes, cheesy breads, muffins, and desserts. If you're a meat-lover, go elsewhere. They sometimes have meat in some salads and soups, but it's nothing major. I made the mistake once of bringing my friend, who loves steak and chicken, and he was so disappointed and didn't want to eat a thing here. I do admit, after frequenting other Sweet Tomatoes in Orlando, this one seemed small and jammed. I was a little let down that they didn't walk around with cookies, but hey, the clientele is very different compared to Orlando. And I did feel that they didn't have as many options as ones that I've been to before. But it could have just been the space, maybe at this location everything is just squished together, so it seems like less options, when it's really not... I don't know. It's still a great for some salad goodies. And soup. And freshly baked bread. And strawberry lemonade. And the chocolate mousse is always a winner.

I first found this restaurant thanks to a vegetarian coworker back in Ft. Lauderdale. I was sad to move down to Kendall knowing hat this amazing place was such a drive away but lucky for me this location was opened a couple of years ago and since then it has been my go to place. It's a vegetarian style buffet with delicious and endless salad options. The veggies are always fresh and they have a huge selection of vegetables and dressings. I know you are probably saying veggies!!! How boring, but there is more. They have a soup bar with 8 different soups to choose from, a bread station, a sweet potato and bake potato bar with all the appropriate condiments to add and finally my favorite!!!!! The dessert bar. Frozen yogurt with sprinkles and Oreos or granola and brownies. There is always fruits to stick with healthier choices and pudding. The best part of this place is that the options change with the seasons so that the restaurant can provide the freshest products. I'm such a happy camper every time I get to come here!!

Buffet style. Extremely vegan friendly. Salad bar has 3 salad basics and 20+ toppings. Teenagers enjoyed the sweet & regular potato bar, 6 kinds of soup, pizza, pasta and of course the ice cream station. Staff is friendly and attentive. Print the coupons.

First time and last. I mean maybe if all we want is salad and soups but nothing else. $10.79 plus tax and beverage is additional. Soups were ok, I liked the cream of mushroom and the split pea soup(although the ham was hard). Salad buffet was ok but other than that the pasta was bland, no flavor, Alfredo, tomato sauce and macaroni and cheese were the only pastas they had. Some corn muffin, blueberry muffins, hard italian bread, baked potato, even though a sign said sweet potato there were non in the tray. Desserts were either sugarless or low in sugar as they tasted bland. Chocolate pudding or mouse, cookies, mini chocolate cakes, soft serve ice cream. Maybe I am being too picky but my family and I were not satisfied with the selection or the taste.

The service here is outstanding!! 12 bucks for an all you can eat healthy fresh lunch..can't beat that anywhere sorry..I've searched and searched and haven't found a place with so many vegetarian and vegan options like sweet tomatoes! Customer service now a days has seem to become almost extinct, here, almost every single employee is smiling, kind, asks how your doing, if you need anything, if they can clean something up for you...I really appreciate and admire things like this from any restaurant especially a chain..don't change that sweet tomatoes! Love you guys!

I hear Sweet Tomatoe's is known for their famous salad bar, it's no wonder I was greeted at the door with the salad bar to start before paying! Some call this a "vegetarian buffet" because they barely carry any meat dishes. At the salad bar, there's 3 fresh premade salads that are mixed with dressing. My favorite is the Asian wonton salad, the sesame/plum dressing pleases my taste buds. Their BBQ ranch had too much dressing for my taste, but I just mixed in plain romance lettuce to balance out the ratio because it was also delicious. I love the chipotle kick that the BBQ has to enhance the ranch dressing. But the Asian still has a spot in my heart as #1, it was so delicious that I had two rounds of their Asian salad! There's also 3 or 4 various types of fresh lettuce for you to choose from to make your own salad! A dozen different kinda of toppings and other salads such as potatoe and tuna. They've got a great selection of teas and lemonade. My favorite is the strawberry lemonade because the lemonade part is fresh. I tried their lemon cream penne and mac and cheese. Both were great, but the mac and cheese is what got me. I had 3 tiny rounds of that. I obsessed over their rice, four cheese pizza, and blue berry muffins. Idk how many trials of rice they went through but they perfected the seasoning. They add just enough salt and oil to make their rice stand out from any other restaurant's. I noticed they had a few straggling old pieces of BBQ chicken pizza so I waited for them to bring out a new batch and it was well worth it! Their blueberry muffin was my favorite for dessert because i stumbled upon a fresh batch so it was all nice and warm. Not only that, but the blueberries were ACTUAL FRESH BLUEBERRIES! Scrumptious. An absolutely flawless muffin. I even snuck two in my purse to take home, but shhh that's our little yelp secret ;) The way I see Sweet Tomatoes is that it's a healthy buffet. The only big plates they have is by the salad bar. The plates by the hot food are tiny, so that's one way to subconsciously make you handle portion control. Also, don't come here if you're a big meat lover and can't deal with eating anything without meat. There were only two items with meat: the chicken noodle soup and the BBQ chicken pizza. I absolutely love this buffet, everything is super fresh, healthy, and they even carry gluten free muffins! :) they've also got 6 or 7 unique kinds of soups for you soup lovers hehe.

A-OK pretty much sums it up. I am not a huge fan of this place, but my best friends think its the best thing since extra-large fries, so I find myself here often. The set up is simple: walk in, grab a plate and load it up with salads and veggies, as well as other seasonal goodies. Pay for your food and then be seated. Once you are comfortably warm in your chair and the plate of rabbit food you have in front of you is no longer enough to satisfy your hunger, you can go grab some soup, bread, pizza, muffin, cornbread, baked potatoes or pasta at the different stations. They have their regular stuff, but also dishes that change weekly, monthly or seasonally. After you have gorged yourself in bread, you can grab your dessert, usually soft serve and brownies. Their food is advertised as local and fresh and, for the most part it is. And although this sounds magnificent in theory, I always leave this place feeling blah. These are my qualms: 1. In reality, a salad bar is gross. I saw a man yesterday who couldn't get all of the toppings onto his place by simply shaking the spoon, so he started scooping with his fingers. Yucky. And then the kid behind me was not tall enough to be covered by the sneeze guard. All I am saying is, I am thankful he was behind me. This is also the reason why, in this "healthish" restaurant, I usually carbo load on bread and soup. 2. Lines can be out of control. They usually only have one side open, so you have to wait until the old lady in front decides which topping she wants. 3. Some of the food is blah. I don't expect fireworks in my mouth at a chain restaurant, but I want something more, like IDK...seasoning maybe? Overall, it's "A-OK," nothing more.

The last time I was at the Kendall location, there was a live bug in my salad and when I told management, they literally said, "it's just an outside bug, not a nasty bug..." And gave me one free meal pass even though the person I went with didn't touch his food either. I will not be going back to this establishment and I feel that the situation could have been handled MUCH better. This was absolutely disgusting.

This place has an abundance of fresh and delicious food. The prices are very reasonable for what you eat. The drink selection is wonderful and some items have a calorie count. The soups are beyond tasty and everything tastes fresh. Fresh is the word that describes this place. The staff is very friendly and pick up right away after you're finished. They're very tentative. You can help yourself to as much as your want but everything definitely fills you up. I love this place and I can't wait to go back.

Been here twice. I like their soups, potatoes and breads. My son enjoys the Mac n cheese. I'm a Caesar lover and I do wish they had better selections to make a Caesar salad. There is no Caesar dressing except some already mixed with lettuce.

Nice, Fresh salads! Great soup bar, made from scratch too! A lot of healthy selections. The place is very clean and good customer service. We got here close to their closing time but they kept refilling everything! It's hard to find a vegan/vegetarian place like this to eat around here and it's all you can eat! I'll be back for sure :)

Maybe it was just because I showed up on a Sunday or whatever but HOLY COW was their food terrible! Their "buffet" is literally a hodgepodge of crappy side items that you'd skip eating anywhere else. Everything is cheap, bland, and looks like it was cooked in a micowave. There are no redeeming qualities to this place. Oh and there's no "healthy" choices unless you're a rabbit and just like eating plain lettuce with non-fat dressing. My girlfriend and I did not enjoy this place, especially for the relatively expensive price (you could get much better food at Flanigans).

  • Lauren S.

Love this place to death! Everything is fresh. The options are many. For a veggie lover, this place is my heaven on Earth for eating out. I think there is a reason behind their method, but I don't like it regardless. When you walk in, you serve yourself on the salad bar line, pay and then get seated. I think it should be completely opposite. They have gluten-free baked good options which is great. They're gluten-free coconut muffins were amazing!

Really good for the price $10. Had a salad, soup, pasta, and dessert yum. Perfect for anyone trying to get back on track after the holiday. Didn't get the 5 stars because it also reminds me of a cruise ship buffet. Plus I left my table to get a dessert and the took the food away before I finished.

I've been eating at the Sweet Tomatoes in Pembroke Pines but now I have one closer to my house in Town&Country Mall it's located next to Corner Bakery Cafe and the place was packed even though it's a salad bar.I usually get salad with onions, mushrooms and I always get something from the bakery and the staff at this location is friendly I love this place

I usually don't mess with buffets unless it's Jimmy, but my mans introduced me to this spot down here in Kendall and It's a game-changer. They have a large variety of salads and veggies that'll make even the most pretentious kind of vegetarian shut their mouth in awe. The soups were great as well. Service was on point. And your boy is Eco-friendly, so I definitely love the environmentally friendly/ green ambiance within the place. Will go again as soon as I need to binge on my greens.

Great deal for a great salad!! Or salads...!!! Yummiii!!! The Salad Bar is gorgeous!! Start getting some prepared salads with some dressings or start making your own salad as you walk thru the Bar. Three types of greens to start with and a whole variety of vegetables, garbanzo beans, beets, petit pois, egg, black olives, peppers, fresh mushrooms, onion, corn, cottage cheese, and a whole lot of things that I am totally missing!!!!! On the other side, you will find the hot food, focaccias, home made breads (3 different types), home made soups (a variety of 8), pastas, and... and... wait for it.. wait for it... dessert!!! Ice cream, mousse, brownies. This is an all you can eat and help yourselves!! So if you love veggies, this is your place!! I could eat salad all the time!!! but would kinda miss the meat a bit,..... hehehhehe. No meat place, but the Salad Bar steals the show! Check it out! The location is a bit off, since it's not visible from the main street. But definitely a place to try!!!

There isn't a whole lot to review on this place considering its a buffet.. Great place if you want a quick salad. They have lots of options from salads that are already made to a salad bar where you can create your own. They also offer a variety of soups, bread and pasta. Great buffet and place added to town and country. Don't know why its taken me so long to get here but i'm glad i gave it a shot!

If Chuck E Cheese and your local community garden procreated, the end result would be Sweet Tomatoes, a salad and soup buffet.. It may be due to the grandiose amount of kids walking around and picking up the food items they please or the fun solid colors found at every inch of the restaurant, but the first thing you notice is that this place is definitely very family-friendly. When walking in, the first thing you are exposed to is the salad buffet found in front of the door, which contains special house salads and anything needed to create a salad. The line may move slow, but be patient because everyone is carefully deciding what they want on their salad. At the end of the line is the cashier, and I would like to note that I payed a little bit over $11. A good deal! Inside the restaurant is where the special treats are. They have different types of bread and soups.I highly recommend the focaccia and corn bread. Both are crisp and delicious. They also have a baked potato bar where you can choose whether you want a regular potato or sweet potato and next to it are the fixings-- bacon bits, sour cream, cheese, and chives. I tried two sweet potatoes, and they were quite soggy. All potatoes come wrapped in aluminum and are waiting to be picked. The dessert bar has brownie bites and chocolate cake. These treats are delicious and are similar to what you regularly eat at a college dining hall. Overall, I would come here again, but I am not sure when because there are a ton of good food choices around the Town & Country shopping center. It is a good addition though because they offer a lot of healthy food choices for all-you-can-eat.

I've been here a bunch of times. The salads and soups are always delicious. Lots of toppings for the salads to choose from. They send coupons in the mail sometimes which is great. Sometimes there carb options such as breads and pizza are dry or hard. But otherwise food is good and service is friendly.

Wasn't sure what to expect... but I was very pleased! Clean fresh atmosphere... an amazing all you can eat salad bar with very fresh items to make the salad just the way you like it. Plus some specialty salads they have made for you. Soups are amazing a lot of choices... pastas, baked potatoes, dessert bar... I can't believe how reasonably priced it was... my new favorite spot even though I have to drive from down town Miami Make sure to get the freshly baked cookies!

I am shocked at some of the reviews below. I've been there three times and I have sent several people there and we have all been impressed with how clean and organized and freshly stocked this location is compared to Ft. Lauderdale and others I have been to out of town. Yes, building your salad with your purse and other items in tow is mildly annoying but the salad is fresh, plentiful, and original. The Pasta bar is run-of-the-mill but the soups are really good. The breads are amazing. There is one that is some kind of sweet brown muffin-like square stuffed with some orange marmalade goodness. Their cookies are out of this world and cheap (6 for $1.00 I think) and if you are blessed, like I have been twice now:), someone will come by your table and give you some free ones! If you are doubly blessed, they will have the coconut pineapple cole slaw at the salad bar, this alone, is worth the price of admission ladies and gentlemen! The price is a bit much considering the lack of protein but I always use the coupons that are normally available online and either get buy one get one free or a few bucks off of each. Not bad for the good quality and unlimited quantity!

This place is always good. The soups are the best part of the trip. sign up for the coupons and you can save. sometimes coming here to try to eat healthy is a $30 trip for two... THe chicken noodle soup is the bomb. the kind you want when you are sick. I will keep coming to this place.

It has been a long time since I have visited this restaurant. Shopping i n the area, which I really like this strip mall, we stopped in for lunch. We happened to go on a holiday so little kids were out of school, oh joy! They were crowded and this location is much smaller than others. As we strolled through the line getting our salads I noticed they have some great add ins and everything was fresh. A little messy, as I am sure it was from all the kids in there. I was quite happy with my salad. I did try a cup of the chili and some foccacia, which was very good. Throw some hot sauce in the chili and it would have been even better. The only thing I do not care for is how they seat you. The guy tried seating us right in front of the kitchen door where it is a constant flow of people running in and out with dirty dishes. No thanks, I will be happy to wait for another table. The service is OK here, they do come in good time to remove any dirty plates. For the price you can not beat the quality and quantity of the food. Not a bad place to hit up for lunch.

My experience had pros and cons, but all in all I'd definitely come here again. Read the rest of my review for more details. When you first walk in the door, you're in the salad bar buffet line. I thought this was very weird. Before you even get a chance to sit down and find seats, you're in line to get salad. They do this on purpose. They hope you fill up on salad before you see everything else they have to offer (because salad is cheap for them to supply). Luckily I knew this so I skipped the salad entirely. Each adult meal is $10.95 which I think is an alright price, a little expensive but not outrageous. I was very shocked to see they charge for water bottles and juice boxes. I didn't know this until they rung us up and I saw it on the bill. Almost $3 for a large water bottle. I saw multiple people just walk up and take them without paying and the cashier didn't bat an eye so I don't know why we were charged for them. They had a good selection of soups. I tried the Irish potato leek (which was bland), Cheddar Broccoli (really good with a big pieces of broccoli) and cream of mushroom (Super good!). I had to wait around 20 minutes to try the mushroom soup because they were out. They make the soup in super small batches, the pots they put the soup in are tiny. This seems gimmicky to me. I know they have frozen soup back there that they heat up in bags, it's not like they are back there chopping veggies and cooking it right there, so why the small batches? This means they go very quickly and people have to wait for them to be restocked. They had a nice variety of breads and they were all tasty. They had soft serve "ice cream". Chocolate, Vanilla, and Swirl. The Swirl didn't work. The ice cream itself was kind of bland and tastes like ice. I don't think it was real ice cream, it was more like frozen yogurt. Still edible. The ice cream station was also very dirty, had hot fudge and sprinkles all over the counters. They also had pasta and muffins but I didn't try them, but people in my party said it was all delicious. The women's bathrooms were filthy and had NO toilet paper in either stall. People in my party said pee was all over the men's bathroom floor. Tables were clean, although nobody came to us in the 3 hours that we were there to take our bowls and plates despite us leaving that "See you next Thyme" paper in plain view. I'd definitely come here again. Soup is my favorite food so I'd come back for the soup alone. I know my review has a lot of cons, but what's most important to me is the food, and the food in my opinion was really good despite everything else. I'd come back to sample more things. There's so much offered that I didn't get to try in one visit.

A new concept to South Florida. I was glad to come to this newly opened salad and soup buffet on my last visit home. I've heard of Sweet Tomatoes before, but I didn't get it until I walked in and saw the huge row of salad stuff, that this is supposed to be a "healthy" buffet. Now don't get me wrong, but can any buffets really be healthy? I suppose its better than the others but they do serve pizza although it is fancifully called foccacia instead. You pile your plate high with salad and pay before you get to see the soup and breads and desserts. This is smart on their part since they get you full of the cheaper stuff but it's also healthier anyways. They had three already pre-mixed and pre-made salads at the beginning. I loved the lemon one and another one with pecans and cranberries. They also have some pretty sweet toppings too. After you pay, they seat you at a table and the potato (sweet and plain) is pretty good, with a few options to choose from. They change the menu monthly with a new country theme. It was Asia the second time I went, and Italy the first. Dessert is soft-serve ice cream, chocolate brownies, and blueberry muffins. Make sure to get the blueberry muffin with some honey butter, it was really good. Great addition to the area but you definitely need self-control.

I was dying to come to this place because a few years back, I went to the Ft. Lauderdale location as a kid and I remember having a wonderful time with a friend and her mother. Fast forward a couple of years and I was mildly disappointed. Thinking this place would be a healthy joint, I checked it out with my dad. We got there and the first thing is first... Salad bar. No protein just lettuce, veggies and some pasta oh and of course, the fixings. You pay at the end of the bar a flat price- beware: a bottle of water is $2.50. -_- My dad and I were unaware of the unlimited bread, soup, and dessert bar. This makes it have unhealthy options but you can go for it if you want. I would stay away from the soup as one of my dads coworkers face got swollen every time she had soup here because of the ridiculous amount of sodium the soups have- check it out for yourself. The staff here is nice though and it's a very popular place for lunch. Just make sure you stay on track if you want to lose weight. They do provide some nutritional information on some items.

Clean, fast, and decent variety...simply put. I had been hearing about this place for a while and finally went to check it out. The good: the Thai salad-oh so good!, plenty of dressings and toppings, the soft serve ice cream is sinful and they have sugar free options in the desserts. It's super clean, and the staff is friendly. The bad: it does lack a little on the proteins, and the other items available can derail your diet. Overall, not bad at all. $12 unlimited. I'll take it.

I loved this place and I am surprised there aren't more of them! For a set price of 8.99 which is super cheap you get a diet lovers dream. Full all you can eat salad bar with a ton of options. You can make your own salad or they have pre made salads as well. Then you have pasta choices, bread, muffins, soup, frozen yogurt, dessert and pizza! You cannot go wrong with any of it and can eat as much as you want. Also they come to your table and take away your plates so you don't need to throw things away all the time and nothing gets too cluttered. Great place hope they open more hope one is in NYC :)

Scary Jerry That's what comes to mind when I relive my depressing dinner experience at Sweet Tomatoes. I don't want to be malicious, there was nothing wrong the restaurant, it was clean, the staff was nice and my plate was picked up quickly. It's just that I find the whole concept to be sub par. Its salad in giant bins with cheap toppings. A bread station A pasta station, with macaroni & cheese and white pasta w/ zucchini in olive oil A soup station, with watered down versions of the classics oh and of course the desert station featuring frozen yogurt, brownie muffins & caramel toppings YUCKKKKK!!!!! I know its just $10 people but choose quality of quantity! My advice, take your $10 and order yourself a fresh healthy salad from Jimmyz!

Pretty happy with this place. The chain itself is pretty good; lots of fresh salad, soup and pastas. You cant really go wrong with this concept. This a new location so its really clean inside. Love the industrial decor, as it gives the whole restaurant a more open and airy feeling. I think all the other sweet tomatoes need to give themselves a makeover so that they can be up to par with this one.

Deep sigh. Full disclosure: I HATE buffets. Didn't anyone else see Contagion? Those sneeze guards are only going to go so far. How about a purell dispenser by the door? So I didn't go in with the openest of mind. Plus for some reason, sweet tomatoes are laid out weirdly. You walk in the door and BAM there's the salad bar. So you go thru the salad bar with all your bags and coats and then you pay, and then you're seated. The day we were there the restaurant was super crowded so the line is actually AT the salad bar. Like a 25 minute wait, standing at the salad bar. So people are eating their salads while waiting, with their hands, since the silverware is at the end of the buffet, and then using those hands to serve themselves more. SO Gross. This set-up also makes it awkward to get seconds on salads, and I suspect that's their motive. Soup and pasta are way cheaper than veggies. The reason for the back-up in the case was a party of 30 and a party of 12 at the same time which took up about half the restaurant. We were part of the party of 30 (long story) so after about 15 minutes in line, we went to the cashier and asked why there was a back-up. The cashier informed us there were no seats. I told her we were part of of the large party, so we had seats but she told me I still had to wait my turn. I'm all about fairness and waiting my turn, but logically, the sooner we sit, the sooner 30 seats open up. If we hadn't had people waiting for us, we probably would have abandoned our salad plates and left. Other issues: They ran out of lots of things; Iced tea, all of the specialty salads, chocolate mousse, coffees. The bathrooms were filthy. They were hugely understaffed. One extra star because the boys bussing the tables were friendly and did a nice job. But I won't be back & wouldn't recommend it.

I was pleasantly surprised by Sweet Tomatoes! Everything was super yum. The salad bar was awesome, everything was pretty fresh and I loved the many options. The soup was good too - I had the tomato soup (low-fat). I also tried this cranberry muffin (I think it was cranberry) and it was AMAZING. Loved it. I really liked this place and will definitely continue going

Let me start by saying that I have been to Sweet Tomatoes/ Souplantation around the U.S. i was so excited to see that they opened one close to home. I have never been disappointed at ST. Until Today. Where do I begin? Let us start with the dirty counters. Every other ST that we have gone to, they are always on the ball and keep the serving areas clean and well maintained. Not so here. There is something seriously wrong when the dessert area has little flying gnats all around. The floors were full of debris and were wet. It's a slip and fall waiting to happen. The tables were not bussed. This really ticked me off. Not only were the tables not cleared promptly after people left, but we had to eat with piles of dirty dishes on our table. Employees would pass by, including a manager, but no one felt compelled to clear the table. The prepared potato salads were not good at all. The chili is always good and the salad bar items are generally fresh. Prices keep going up. For $10 and change, I'll go over to Casavana across the street and have enough food to last me 3 days. For me, buffet style places are not worth it but I have made an exception for ST. Now at $10+, my small salad, 1/2 cup of 2 different soups and a bit of apple cobbler is definitely not worth it. I will not be returning to this location any time soon. Sadly, some things just don't work in Miami. This is one of them.

I've stated before how I'm not a big fan of buffets. This one goes right up there with most, the salad bar has a very nice selection of salads and fresh veggies but what's really disappointing is that the entire hot kitchen items are all carb loaded products. NO PROTEIN OPTIONS! Kind of a big bummer especially if you're eating Paleo, there was one option for complex carbs and that was baked sweet potatoes though. Overall not impressed, but not disappointed. It was a very clean establishment and the bathrooms were spotless so good job on that one everyone!

A great place to go for a good selection of soups and salad buffets. I have gone here several times and each time the options have been very good. For those who are into having multiple choices of salad options, this is the best place to go.

Maybe I'm spoiled by my Broward Sweet Tomatoes, but I thought this location fell a bit short. This location is much smaller than the ones I'm used to - smaller buffets, smaller dining room. All of the same food was there though, just not in the same appetizing way of other locations. The salad bar is shorter in length, but it has three rows. I didn't like this set up - I found it hard to reach the row in the middle, and I had to lean over the buffet to get to it. No good if you are a shorty. The rest of the buffet sections are much smaller as well - soup, bakery, pasta. All of the same amount of food is there, but it is served in cafeteria style metal pan under hot lamps. At other locations, they use wooden baskets... The way they served the food here made it look less appetizing, more like a school cafeteria. The dining room is small, and the second time we went, there was a line well outside the door. Didn't stay for dinner that time, it is not worth the wait. Food is good, atmosphere is not my favorite.

Went here for the first time today and I have to say I am impressed with this all you can eat buffet soup and salad place. The salad selection was very nice, although I wish they had feta cheese as a topping, and meat proteins for salad (chicken, ham). This place is great to go if you're on a diet. But if you are on a diet beware of the delicious mac & cheese, breads, pastas, and self serve ice cream and brownies. I tried the chili soup and chicken santa fe soup, and prefer the chili. I will definitely be coming back for more and introducing this place to friends and family as it is a nice alternative to inexpensive and healthy foods. They have something for everyone. I'm only giving it 4 out of 5 stars because you can wait sometimes up to 10 minutes or longer to pay for your salad and find a table.

We come here regularly and I waiver between 3 and 4 stars. I would totally give them 3.5 if that were an option. The good: Salad, lots of them and just about any fixing you could want. A decent selection of soups, some regulars and some seasonal specials. My kids love this place, while I think that has more to do with the frozen yogurt bar, I must admit I do like seeing my 3-year old try salads and soups (both a tough sell otherwise). The bad: Lack of consistency. This restaurant is all over the place. For example, on the salad bar this month they have some poppyseed cole slaw. The first time I had it, it was great, phenomenal (I like,my coleslaw), but tonight there was no dressing on it. I don't mean that someone was light with the dressing, or it wasn't sufficiently mixed, I mean it was plain, raw cabbage. And the blueberry muffins, a ST staple, the ones on the bread bar tonight had virtually no blueberries. I had a muffin with ONE blueberry in it, my daughter's didn't have any. They can't even keep the indoor climate control consistent. We have been in there sometimes when you needed a sweater and gloves, and tonight it was so hot I was uncomfortable in shorts and a t-shirt. I'm giving this place 3 stars because when they're on their game its a good experience, and when they're not, they're really not. But we keep coming back so obviously there is still value here for us.

I'm between a-ok and i'm a fan. I love that the salad bar is huge, fresh and has a lot of variety all with calorie counts on the labels. I hate that I have to go through the salad bar line as soon as I walk in the door with shopping bags, purse and umbrella in tow :( The pasta selection ( aside from the pasta salads) is less than thrilling and thats ok because I was really just there for the soup and salad. There were about 5-6 diffrent selections for soup with all of the trimmings including chilli with corn bread that was to die for. There was also a baked potato bar which included sweet potato. I didnt pay much attention to the dessert bar but I did however induldge in one of the brownie muffins and it was to die for. The focaccia was also very good but there was hardly any left and it seemed like it was the quickest thing to go. I would definately go back but can I please put my stuff down first ? :(

Here's a restaurant that when you leave, you will be stuffed with food, but not with guilt! It's a great concept, an expansive, fresh salad bar and some hot items, too. It's worth a trip out to Kendall to the "Mall Formerly Known as Town & Country". Yes, it's long salad bar. But with all the stuff in this salad bar, the combinations of salads must be limitless! You start with your choice of pre-made Caesar or different types of lettuce as your base, and then pile on the fresh stuff to customize your salad. At the end, you have your choice of dozens of salad dressings. The also have other pasta salads and such. I like the Tuna Tarragon. Once you wolf down your salad, they have a bunch of soups, some baked potatoes, some pizzas and pastas, and some fresh bread items. Top it all off with a frozen yogurt sundae and you're good to go! This store seems to have an updated interior design. It's alot smaller than the Broward stores, but the design looks alot better, and the flow of traffic is improved.

Don't mess this up Kendall! We are getting a brand spanking new Sweet Tomatoes in Town and Country and I want to enjoy it for a while! For too long have us suburbanites been forced to travel long distances to find the tasty, yet elusive salad bar. But no more shall our gas tanks run low and our stomachs run empty; longing for crisp veggies and fresh soups. This location is smaller than the others - they actually acknowledge this on their table top information. Being that it was a soft opening/fundraiser I am not sure how the logistics of the store are going to work over time. The only thing I really care about is that they keep the salads fresh, the restaurant clean and the staff well stocked. Tonight I tried the vegan black bean chili and it was delicious! A cup of that paired with a salad creation of my own designing and I was a happy camper. Enjoy your salads my friends!

Love it. Clean restaurant. Large selection of different items. They do lack on the proteins. Would be nice to have some chicken on the salad bar. The soups are delicious. The service is friendly and quick. When I went the place was packed and there was only one server and he was kicking butt!! He had it under control and the tables were never dirty or full of dishes. They always had someone wiping everything down which was nice to see. The place stays stocked so you know it is fresh!!

Sweet Tomatoes and I have had our ups and ours downs... What should I explain first- the good or the bad? There aren't many bad things, so I do not want to discourage anyone from trying out this place. What I do not like at all is how slow the register area is. I have seen this place at it's busiest and at it's slowest and at both times there is always, ALWAYS one cashier. I have worked in food and beverage before and know that this is a huge "no,no". Another thing is that on more than one occasion, the staff wouldn't clean up any extra plates left on the table or empty tables. Now, let's get to the good stuff! Everything is always fresh. All of the salads and toppings are constantly being refilled and not like Subway where they put the new food products on top of old (another huge no no). The old container is taken out and is replaced with a new one. I also love the themes that they have... Like Mexican month where they featured nachos and chilli- I loved it! The salads, soups and pizzas are so good and keep me coming back! Not to mention the very decent prices. Overall, I recommend this place to everyone. :)

Great service, fresh salads, delish soups including vegan/vegetarian friendly options which really are the cherry on top for Vegs like me. Awesome dessert bar too, try the hot brownie with the yogurt! (too bad I can't eat Anything now as a vegan, but that was a sweet goodbye to dairy last week) The only reason I don't give an extra star is due to the fact that the size of the sweet tomatoes is very small & feels crowded even on the weekend. Also I just wish more vegetarian & vegan soups would be available at this location. Thank goodness sweet tomatoes realized Miami needs a healthy place like this. Love it, live it, eat healthy SoFla!

I always give a place two chances. This was Sweet Tomatoes second and last. The salads look appealing but lack taste and flavor. The mushroom soup was the only soup with flavor. The others were watery. I had to add cheese from the salad bar to help the Mac and cheese. The Alfredo was bland. This seems a lot to pay when only two or three items are acceptable.

My fav place for lunch. Healthy and inexpensive (I'm stuffed and it was $8.18 after my coupon.). Customer service is top shelf, and the atmosphere is great - just avoid the heavy rush times to get that relaxed vibe. Overall, I love it here. I didn't think eating healthy would be this fun..

I went this past Friday night and the line was out the door. We were afraid there wouldnt be any tables but thankfully the staff was very organized and was letting people in as space was becoming available. I really enjoyed this place. Everything was fresh and clean. It is all you can eat for around $10 but check your Sunday paper because there are always coupons. There are a variety of pre-made salads to choose from but you can also create your own. They have a nice mix of dressings and toppings for your salad. Once you get past the salad part and pay for your food you go into the dining room where you can get your drink, choose from a bunch of soups, pizza/breadsticks, baked potatoes, mac n cheese, and have frozen yogurt with a brownie for dessert. Very yummy, fresh, and easy on the pocket. I will be back!

Excellent all-you-can-eat salad buffett. Incredible amount of salads and salad toppings. Almost every kind of topping you can think of. They have about 7 different soups, a few pizzas, pastas, ice cream, & more. We got a buy one get one free coupon after registering on their website and were very glad to eat at Sweet Tomatoes. Food was fresh & plentiful and the employees were very friendly. Will definitely come back for more!

Awesome atmosphere. Kid friendly, always fresh food, nice personnel and clean facility. The major plus to this place is that the menu is always changing. Also low carb food for me and my wife since we are watching our weight, and also that my son loves the Mac n cheese. I salute the creator of this well established restaurant idea, and I can't wait to see what's on the menu in the next coming weeks.

I was pretty shocked to read some of the really negative reviews below. I love this place. It's a buffet with super fresh salads (loose greens including baby spinach as well as the fattening prepared stuff that some of the ones below might be talking about). Because it's buffet style...you can make it as healthy or fattening as you like. There aren't any meats on the salad bar and it is, for the most part vegetarian...but that's one of the reasons I like it. There are, however, lots of veggie proteins available ... The restaurant is really clean and I gladly pay $10 for the huge variety of salad fixings and hot homemade soups.... Not really interested in all the pastas, potatoes or desserts but I know what fresh veggies cost and so I do think I'm getting my money's worth. The service has also always been great :)

I love the salads here, they always have a great selection of toppings and lettuce. I have gone here two times. The first time, I enjoyed all the soups that they were serving. The second time, I may have only like two out of I think seven of the soups they serve. The bakery definitely needs some improvement. The pizza doesn't look like pizza and the pasta was cold. The dessert area was delicious, I enjoyed the soft serve ice cream machine, along with chocolate syrup or caramel topping. I would come here again.

I love Sweet Tomato, but this location absolutely sucked when I went there two weekends ago on a not so crowded Saturday evening. The cashier was trying to multitask and take care of both lines, but she wasn't really paying attention, and she looked pissed off. The pastas look like they were sitting there for a while, and the macaroni and pizza bread too forever to come out! The desert area was filthy, and the brownies looked as if they were there all day. Our dishes were piling up, and no one came around to take them. We just put them on tables next to us, and they sat there almost the whole time. The bathroom was FILTHY!!! Staff wasn't as friendly as the staff at the Sunrise and Boca locations. It was a horrible experience, and the restaurant layout is different from the others. It looks sterile and not so welcoming. I will NOT be coming to this location ever again!

Yes, its a salad buffet but don't be fooled to think is a healthy alternative. The place is not bad, for a one time thing. The food is ok, some things are better than others. I went because it opened recently around my house and had never been in one but I don't think I'll be going again any time soon.

This is a great place to eat healthy as long as you keep away from the ice cream machine, soda machine, salad dressings and certain soups. This restaurant has a great variety of salads and soups. And the best thing is it's ALL YOU CAN EAT !!!! The soups are homemade and they have bake potato and sweet potato. I recommend this restaurant.

With such a huge salad bar you would think it would be vegetarian. To our upheaval there is a sign stating that it is not vegetarian. Most sauces are made with fish. Vegetarians be warned.
