This is my second time coming to this Japanese restaurant, is very authentic and the staff is pretty nice. A bit slow but they where fine. Food is awesome and I love the plate presentation. The green tea ice cream wasn't good at all, so please don't order it!

Last Sunday, I came here for lunch with a few girlfriends. The place was fairly empty, so seating was plenty. The waitress took our drink orders as we looked over the menu. I was really excited about all the vegan and vegetarian options. I ordered inari, a cucumber roll and vegetable tempura. I split the tempura with my friends. Before the meal, I also received a complimentary miso soup that does not use fish stock. The waitress confirmed this and said it was vegan. Overall, the food tasted good and the service was fast. However, I felt slightly nauseous shortly after eating. The way I felt influenced me to bump it down to three stars though.

Food is good. Place is quiet enough to have a conversation with whomever is with you. Portions are a good size. Lunch specials are good and quickly delivered. I get take out from there often.

Sushi Siam is my new favorite for the famous Sushi boat. It has a lot of fresh variety and good tasting sushi. This place is a must!

The food was just okay. Nothing special or something I would go back for. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Went there on a Saturday night with a group of friends. Parking lot charges $0, or $3 or $4.. depending on...? Mgmt, very pleasant and accomodating for our party of eight. Service was good, quick to bring new napkins and refill water. Not rushed, place is pretty with nice lighting..and outside seating too. Extensive wine and Sake list but only one plum wine listed, and not one I liked. Many both Japanese and Thai items on the menu with both a- la- carte and dinner combinations. I didn't "love" what I ordered. Wasn't bad in any way, just not memorable.. and a tad on the pricey side, like interesting hosomaki rolls mostly in the mid to high teens. With the proliferation of Japanese/Thai restaurants in So. FL, I find myself seeking memorable...Okay, understandably all restaurants are not "take-my-breath-away epic experiences, ie: Zuma, but there are a few I've discovered that *wow* me.. (not jaded yet!) In fact, I look forward to going back to Sushi Siam to try their Thai menu.. PS.Delicious peanut salad dressing!

Dont waste your time and money. Service is slow. Sushi isn't great anyways. We decided to order a take out and they took ONE hour to make four rolls ( they said 15mins over phone). We were waiting outside and the restaurant was empty. We asked several times what was going on with the order and no explanation was given. After an hour, I got upset and wanted to cancel my order but the manager basically begged me to wait after she apologized. She even tried to hug me and touch my back as an expression for apology because she couldn't even speak good english. I just want to warn you not to waste your money in this place.

Wow! I've driven by many times and finally had a moment to duck in for lunch with Marnie and we were totally thrilled! The rolls are all a MOUTHFUL and totally delicious. The cold sake rocked my party. The service rocked, and I loved the atmosphere. I plan to go back and write a more comprehensive review thereafter. Love this place!

Love this location. Sat down outside to enjoy the ambiance. It took about 8 min for the server to come and assist us. He was server in training, but still, we waited a bit to order. I got the seaweed salad, edamame and 2 ikura sashimi. Nothing of which was cooked yet it took some time to get to table. Food was delicious. Just slow service.

When craving a good Japanese, my gut always take me to the Siam. This Sushi place has been in the neighborhood since ever, and I must confess, never disappoints. Last night I started with something out of my comfort zone: Aged tofu. Yes, I know... But for some inexplicable reason, this dish won my heart. It was so delicate and delicious I couldn't believe I was eating, yes aged tofu (the name is just so unappealing, I will call it something else). As a main sushi roll I had the veggie one. It was very good too. Full flavors, big portion, I must say. My no-vegan friend had the tuna tartare and the salmon roll, and according to the empty plates, those were a winner combination as well Service is consistently good at this restaurant. I keep coming back over and over.

Best Sushi spot in this part of town... very quiet ambiance. Very helpful staff. Just be aware of the 18% gratuity already added to your total. Outside patio is very nice when it's not to hot out. Oh yeah, a great for Vegan menu.

Have been coming here for years. It is my go to place when I want to eat out and want good food and good service. Very extensive menu and I love that they always have brown rice. They have free wifi and the staff is always very attentive. Great place to have a business lunch as it is not too crowded, tables are spacious and chairs are very comfortable.

Nice, trendy place with good food. A tad on the pricey side, tho (the tofu/veg dish I get is $15 and I think that's too much). The service is consistently excellent. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Sushi SIam is very clean and tidy inside and out. Then menu is huge, so you have a lot of good food to choose from; it is very vegetarian-friendly. And the prices vary from a couple dollars for sushi to $15+ for large dishes. It's always plenty of food, so you don't go away hungry. I recommend it!

When I moved to Miami two years ago Sushi Siam quickly became one of my favorite restaurants. This place has definitely gone downhill since then. Several things are now blacked out on their menu and no longer available, and many prices are crossed out and written in $2 or $3 higher. The table and chairs had a sticky/greasy film on them, the bathrooms were filthy, and the restaurant in general seemed to need a mop and brush up. The seafood pad Thai I had tonight had a strange spoiled dairy smell and a weird flavor. I asked for limes and was given lemons and told that they did not have limes. Really!? What Thai restaurant doesn't have limes? The fried calamari was not too bad, cooked to the perfect degree of doneness, and the dipping sauce was pretty good but it tasted like the fryer oil was a little old. The California roll was excellent, although to be fair it's pretty hard to screw up a Cali roll. The waitress was inattentive, and didn't seem to care at all about our satisfaction as customers. The manager was talking on the phone the entire time we were there and never once paid any attention to us or any other customers. All in all, I can think of about half a dozen places where I can get better Thai and/or Japanese food for less money within 15 minutes drive of Sushi Siam. I would be willing to pay the now higher prices if the quality of food and service was there like it was in the past, but now I think I'll go elsewhere.

Not really happy about this place, but the sushi isn't too bad. I called to make a pick up order, and the lady who took down my order was extremely hard to understand. She messed up my order and it was a bit uncomfortable. When I arrived to pick it up, my order was not ready. I patiently waited and when I got back to work to eat it, my order was still messed up and spicy mayo (as requested) was not included. I understand lunch time is a busy time, but it's just annoying. I guess I will give it another try out of convenience, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Consistently, this is the place I find myself when looking for good sushi without the risks. Their menu has a good selection of sushi and Thai dishes and everything always feels fresh. Getting a nice cold sake is easy with a good selection to choose from. This should be a regular spot if you are seeking sushi and live in the area.

Being that I work right up the block from Sushi Siam, I tend to go there a lot for lunch to take advantage of their thai menu. Parking is easy and free during the day in the large lot located next to the restaurant. The restaurant offers limited outdoor seating and has two rooms indoors, including a small sushi bar, to accommodate guests. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. 99% of the time I opt for one of their lunch specials (pad thai, curry, noodles, etc.) which come with soup or salad. Lunch specials run from $9 to $11. The food is decent, but definitely does not warrant the high price tag for its dinner menu. I would only come here for lunch to take advantage of the lunch special. There are plenty other thai restaurants in the area that will certainly give you more bang for your buck.

one of my fav resto and I live 1 block from it so I'm a regular tried many things I love the fried rolls, the king soup and the fried rice (a portion I eat 3 days from!) but their seafood noodle dish is HEAVENLY

First I would like to say that is not my first time in sushi Siam but it is in this location . I don't normally post anything on yelp or any site but I am very disappointed. To start, my server was in a rush ... Asked me about 5 times if I was ready to order( I would let you know when I'm ready and I'm a server also and you can tell when you table is ready or not, not need to ask 5 times) the food was good, don't get me wrong.. We order a sashimi roll and a spicy tuna roll that we loved. The chicken fried rice and miso soup were great too. But I order a clean middle for my daughter and she wasn't hungry at the moment so we took it home. We live about 5 blocks away ... As soon as we got home we both ate the meal and that was the last thing she had all day different than what she normally has... She woke up at the middle of the night crying and trowing up and I did too . My husband who didn't try the noddles is completely fine but my daughter and I haven't stop since last night ... Cramps, vomiting etc ... I'm sure that the reason is the noddles cause besides that she only had fruit, rice, and crackers.

honestly this could have been a 2 star. I've been to this place many, many times. The food quality and presentation are usually excellent. However the staff isn't so friendly and little things are wonky = like their bathroom looks like beavers have been clawing their names into the door for 10 years....ane one time i went the door woulen't open and i got locked in the bathroom :( they were not even apologetic after i finally got out :( they are overpriced and don't offer many options for anyone looking for something light or on a budget. They say they accept the prime card, but that's kinda tough sometimes too. Overall the lunch specials mon - thurs are great, but still not near as good a value as other places I've been. The quality and presentation is wonderful but the staff sours the experience at least half of the times I've been there. Wifi is decent and Daytime there's no charge for parking, thank goodness!

We've eaten at this location many times. Tonight was a disappointment on too many levels. Service was slow even though the place was nearly empty. Food took 25 mins and 2 visits to find our server. I asked for the manager and she kept me waiting, too. "We had a very big to-go order." Biggest shame - 3 out of 5 dishes were mediocre. What a shame.

I ordered take out a few nights ago and My dish was a veggie and tofu combination was watery and gross, I could hardly eat it . The chunks of tofu were ginormous and the veggies and sauce were beyond bland. I have been here in years past for pad thai and it was good but I think the food has seriously gone down hill since then. I would not even know what to order if I were forced to return. Much better and more reasonable places in the area.

Have been coming here for several years and the food is still very good. Service is good, they work with each other to assist even if it's not their table. No long waits for food or any requests. Only negative is if you can't find a parking space in the street, the parking lot next door charges, at least for dinner hours. I don't believe they do for lunch, at least they didn't the last time I went for lunch about 6 months ago.

Went for a late dinner Saturday night..... had some shrimp shumai, spicy tuna roll, beauty and the beast roll, and of course thai donuts for dessert. I can't complain about the food. It was tasty. The portions were adequate, but there were soooo many thai donuts! I still don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Overall it was a good experience, but it didn't really stand out from any other sushi/thai restaurant.

Let me say first that they have incredible thai shrimp fried rice. Everything else tastes as it's supposed nothing beyond being just good. The waitstaff are divas so watch out for that. Be prepared for paid parking too.

I'm not happy with this place which is a real shame because our office is moving 2 minutes away. First off, the smell. That sushi place smell. Not sure where it comes from but good sushi places don't have it. I resolve, from now on, that if a restaurant I walk into has a bad smell that I'm going to turn right around. Seems like common sense. Don't know why I don't already do it. I came for lunch today, lunch last week and dinner a few weeks ago. I've been to this place before and I used to like it. I'm not sure what happened. First off, the service is a joke. It's not rude or anything, it's just a joke. I'm not sure how they decide who gets a table but the last few times I've been here, it's been a tag team effort which, instead of getting me better service, instead just caused confusion and the opposite. For dinner I had to repeat myself multiple times to several people. Some part of the wait staff seems to be Thai college students right off the boat with little English skill and even less of an idea about restaurant service. I could really forgive the service as long as the sushi was good. You can take a look at my uploaded pictures. Old tuna. What's up with the whitefish? One salmon nicely striped and another one a perpendicular grain that was, what, destined for a roll? The tuna in the Beauty and the Beast roll was cleverly put there because there's no way it could have been offered as nigiri or sashimi. I remember much better quality a couple of years ago and much better service. I'm not sure if I'll go back for the convenience. Right now I'm thinking no because the bacteria on the fish are still battling the acids in my stomach and it's not a good feeling. And the price? Reasonable for the local market? No. High in an already expensive market. I'm sorry but this place is a big fail. My meal today was a one star experience but I do remember that my dinner from a few weeks ago wasn't nearly as bad, it was probably a 2 1/2. Sadly, two stars from a disappointed sushi lover.

Every time my boyfriend and I go here, I am amazed at the service, the quality of food and the general atmosphere. Our favorites are the Dragon Roll and the Spider Roll. They are incredible. The next time you are on Biscayne and 55th stop in for lunch! You will more than enjoy it :)

My pad thai was greasy, flavorless and not prepared fresh ... disappointing. Our server was clearly having a bad day, so our service was terrible. The place was not clean either ... dirty floors and countertops. I won't be back.

Upon the suggestion of Maria, we decided to go after an amazing event at the Archt center last night. Great parking! We wanted to sit outside because the weather was heavenly but, of course people were smoking and there is nothing more pleasant than the smell of smoke while you eat with your kids.. (pause) NOT. So inside it was. Really pretty decor, nice lamps (the tile behind the sushi chefs is amazing... I want it for my house - its shiny and I am a magpie). They offer Japanese cuisine, Sushi, and Thai food. I was a bit doubtful about how many choices there were on the menu of different types of food ( I prefer my "sushi" joint be only a "sushi" joint and my Thai restaurant be only Thai) and at the end we all decided just to share a boat. Our Eldest ordered a salad and we ordered a boat for 3, there were four of us. So our other daughter, my hubby and I had the 3 miso soups that came with the boat, and then we all shared the boat itself. We couldn't believe the amount of Sashimi, Sushi and Rolls on this boat. We kept on wondering if she had misunderstood us and given us a boat for 4, but no, it was one for 3 people. None of us were unsatisfied when we were done. It was the perfect amount of food and the food was very good, we all really enjoyed it. For a boat for 3, a salad, 2 desserts and two iced teas and tip the total came to around $120. We didn't have to pay for parking, so the check wasn't bad at all.

Best veggie sushi I've had since I went completely vegetarian. Had a veggie roll, an avocado sushi and an asparagus sushi. Plus a couple beers. :) The roll was super flavorful and delicious (unlike most veggie rolls) A good friend and I enjoyed a long convo, and sat out on the patio in the comfortable pre-summer night. Service was good - they left us alone for the most part, which was a nice change. All in all - I dug it, and I'd totally come back. Always love this neighborhood, too!

  • Ted H.

A little overpriced but the decor was classy so I thought I'd give it a shot, expecting equivalently high-class fish. Hamachi nigiri was disappointing. The fish was flavorless and with a weird texture, like it had been frozen too long. The two hand rolls I ordered were unremarkable and not worth the inflated price point. This was discount sushi in disguise. To be honest I think I've discovered a new sushi rule: if you are in a city not known for it's sushi, the trendiness of the restaurant decor is inversely proportional to the quality of the fish. Also, I ordered to-go and the hostess got my order wrong. Instead of taking quick, painless action to fix the mistake she acted like I was equally culpable and needed to help her come up with a solution. Not a huge deal but left a bad taste in my mouth (or was that the hamachi?).

I have only ever had their sushi but my friends and family whom I have gone with really enjoyed their thai as well. It's not your typical sushi. Usually, with most sushi places, they're all very similar to each other and nothing really stands out. Sushi Siam really stood out to me. All of their rolls are much larger than normal and so much more tastier than other sushi places. I'm not a big person but I definitely had a hard time finishing one roll when usually I can manage 1 1/2- 2 rolls. The sushi roll presentation is really creative and eye catching. Sushi SIam is in a really trendy location and it's decor matches it's surrounding. It is very neat and modern. The service isn't horrible but it definitely could be better. The staff is a little slow to clear the table between courses and refill drinks. But other than that they are very friendly and happy to serve you.

WHAT IS THAT SMELL??? From the second I walked in, it hit me like a 2x4 across my face. We couldn't put our finger on it but it smelled like a busy public bathroom that was just mopped with plain water. There was some mustiness to the odor. Anyways, on to the rest of the review. We dined here on a weekend night at approximately 8:30. I only state the time, as I have read other reviews from fellow Yelpers with polar opposite experiences and perhaps their experience was during lunch or weekday/weeknight service hours. We sat at the bar and were practically ignored by the two guys that were simply standing and conversing behind the counter. No greeting whatsoever. It wasn't until I got up and advised the hostess we were ready to order that someone was sent to us. I typically order the standard JB, California and Dragon rolls when trying out a new sushi restaurant just for point of reference and to be fair. None of the rolls were exceptionally good. The individual pieces in all of the rolls were of decent size however, the rolls were not exceptionally fresh tasting. Typically the California rolls have a crispiness to them and this one simply did not. Also, the avocado was overly ripe with brown spots and in some of the pieces was actually mushy. The salmon in the JB roll as well was simply not fresh tasting. We also ordered side salads before our meals were served and the salads were skimpy with no tomato wedge and no carrot slices. It was simply Iceberg lettuce and dressing. Although the restaurant is pretty chic and eye candy, no way in hell given the poor service (lack thereof), stench, and overpriced menu items will I ever go back.

I've gone to this restaurant twice, and each time I was EXTREMELY disappointed. Each time the food was DRY and FLAVORLESS. My boyfriend ordered me tofu pad thai to go over the phone, and he asked me how spicy I wanted it, and he told them mild. When I opened the box, the noodles were completely dry -- THEY USED NO SAUCE AT ALL! The noodles were dry and they all stuck together. There were no seasonings on it at all. There were A FEW crumbled peanuts at the very bottom of the box, and maybe 4 pieces of over cooked vegetable in total. The tofu was chewy and the texture was funky. There was absolutely no taste. I went home and had to add 4 different spices, AND I put in peanut butter. It was such a waste of money. I didn't even finish it. This place looks fancy, but the food is horrible. Don't waste your time or money.

I'm not that tough person to give them only one star, but i guess they deserve it. I think i gave them more chances by keep going back there because it's close from my house. the wait staffs are not friendly or attentive at all and one time i got human hair in my california rolls, they took them back and gave me new rolls but who knows it's new or not, and they still charged me not offering any discount or sincere apology. NO MORE!

  • Jose B.

The pad thai that my friend and I had was alright but the sushi there was stale and fishy. It was so fishy that we couldn't even gulp it down. Maybe it was because we went there for lunch and not dinner but the sushi was inedible. From what I hear about this place, it is either a hit or miss. I would not recommend this restaurant.

  • Kaylin O.

Worst experience I've ever had here. Service is excruciatingly slow. We waited a long time for water and even longer for our food. Our sushi was ready to go and sitting ready to be served but our server never got to it. Raw sushi sitting on a counter that long does not seem appetizing so we left.

  • Kevin W.

We pick up from here a lot. Sushi is pretty decent and the Thai food is great. Try jumping shrimp, Lobster Roll, Spider Roll, oshi tashi, Thai ice coffee. Price is a little pricey for what you get but overall this place is consistent and good.

  • Franky A.

This place is sooooooooo overrated. The sushi is good but overpriced. The service is fucking awful and the people are flat out morons. Don't bother to order take out because it will be like trying to get Sloth from the Goonies to act out Glengary Glen Ross in a one man act play. Seriously, it's that challenging to get some take out from these people. For some reason, the place always has a good crowd there and it's worth checking out because as much as I bash the service and pricing, the sushi is good and there's always pretty girls eating there.

  • Tina K.

So we ordered both Thai and Japanese from their menu. Their Thai food was actually really good, the tom yum goong (shrimp spicy soup) was nice and spicy with 4 huge succulent shrimp. We ordered rolls and sushi (mediocre but way over priced) and even ordered some Japanese appetizers like grilled salmon and agedashi tofu. The grilled salmon was so not Japanese styled, no skin on it, no charcoal, just plain skillet cooked. But the Agedashi was not bad. Overall just another over priced Thai/Japanese restaurant with OK food - at least the atmosphere is nice!

I love this place. This sushi siam has the most helpful and nicest wait stuff . The food its always good. They are not as busy as they were before they took over the space next door. Not sure why... Sometimes is hard to find a parking space.

Some of the better sushi I've had in miami. Definitely better than the overpriced/overhyped stuff you find on the beach (their lincoln road location sucks imho). Environment is great, 55th street station is really shaping up. It isn't exactly cheap but the rolls are pretty big and the chicken pad thai portion is always enough to take home and finish for dinner.

My favorite Sushi Siam location is still the 79th Causeway in North Bay Village, but this is a close second. The lunch sushi specials make the overwhelming menu easy (just skip to the back...order by number). Great service as well, always. For dinner, i love the duck or the whole fish (any way) - but come ready to eat.

Enjoyed sitting outside... I ordered a sashimi sushi combo plate and it was fresh and tasty. Had shumai first that were good as well . We also ordered some Thai food that was ok-good nothing to rave about but the Thai portions were very large. Service is retarted . Had to flag down the wait staff when we wanted something...

At my house we celebrate Fridays with movie and sushi night. And this is the place where we get our sushi. Acutally, I don't eat sushi because I'm a vegetarian, BUT I have a serious addiction to the brown rice and honey miso. Yes, honey miso. It's amazing. Get a pint for $5 and watch all the different things you'll try to pour it on to find another reason to eat this delicious saucy dressing. And let us not forget about the Thai donuts. Sure those little balls of fried dough negate all the good the miso does, but isn't yin and yang the whole point of Asian-inspired consumption?

I WILL NEVER RETURN TO SUSHI SIAM. I HAVE SET OUT TO MAKE SURE NONE OF MY FRIENDS EVER GO THERE OR RETURN THERE UNTIL THEY FIX THE SERVICE ISSUES. AT THIS POINT, GIVING THEM ONE STAR IS GENEROUS. Sushi Siam was an enormous disappointment. Here are the sordid details: It was 10:00 PM. We walked into what seemed like an empty restaurant. We wanted to sit at the Sushi Bar, but were informed that it was in the middle of cleaning. Is this not something that should be done after closing? At least they were cleaning it. We sat down, to order Sake. It took the server 4 trips to finally tell us which of the many Sakes they had in stock. We ordered 2 Starters and 3 Entrees. HERE IS WHERE THE CHAOS ENSUES= The soup was brought out, followed 5 minutes later by the hot app, which was Friend Tofu. The soups were ok. The sauce for the Tofu was listed as spicy, but was in fact bland. The cold entrees arrived. I had ordered Pad Thai, the national dish of Thailand. It did not arrive. My friends, thinking that it was on the way, started to eat. 10 minutes passed with no Pad Tha. I stopped the server and asked what the problem was with the Pad Thai, and was informed that the server never fired the order. Ergo, it was not coming anytime soon. She admitted that this was a problem they had with the ordering sequence. I then told her to not even bring it, since my friends were now done eating, and I was not about to eat alone. The server then started to debate with me, so I had to break my chopsticks in half to show that I was not about to eat the Pad Thai if it arrived. The server then rushed out and tried to give us free dessert, which we refused. How is a free dessert a solution to poor service? Shouldn't the manager have come to my table and addressed this issue? Then we got the check, paid cash, AND THE SERVER SHORT CHANGED US BY $6!!!! WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? My estimation of Sushi Siam? All the issues at Sushi Siam are MANAGEMENT RELATED. The lack of direction, the lack of training, the lack of responsibility, all point a big chopstick at CRAP MANAGEMENT. This is no surprise to me, as I learned that Soyka was owned by the same people, and the servers tend to suck at Soyka equally. So my advice to Sushi Siam and Soyka? TRAIN YOUR SERVERS. PUT YOUR MANAGERS ON THE FLOOR MANAGING AND NOT HIDING IN THE BACK OR TRYING TO SEDUCE HOOKER-WANNA-BE'S AT THE BAR. Every issue I have with both of these places stems from POOR SERVICE; and poor service is a symptom of POOR MANAGEMENT.

Sushi Siam is a good place for reasonably priced sushi and thai in midtown Miami. It's in the up-and-coming area known as the 55th Street Station, home to Soyka, Andiamo, The News, and a variety of other boutiques and things. I ventured into Sushi Siam the other day for lunch because I was craving sushi. They offer a bunch of lunch specials - a whole page of Thai lunch specials, and a whole page of Japanese lunch specials. A friend and I opted to just get a couple rolls to split, but when we saw the huge plates of food delivered to the people who opted for the lunch specials, we decided we definitely needed to choose that option the next time! The salmon teriyaki, served with tempura, looked awesome - and it was huge. I will definitely give that a try next time. I've never really been a fan of Sushi Siam's Thai offerings, but now that I know about their awesome lunch specials, I will definitely have to check that out. It may give Moonchine a run for its money in the Thai lunch special department. Parking is abundant - there's street parking, and 2 big lots - one next to Soyka, and the other across from Andiamo. The area tends to get packed around 12:15/12:30, so it might be a challenge to find an open spot, especially later in the week.

Sushi Siam is getting 3 stars for the food, decor, and chic location. Minus 2 stars for the service and value. I've eaten at other Sushi Siam locations, but my meal at this one was superb. I ordered the pad thai with chicken and a veggie roll. It was all really, really good. It was also really, really expensive considering most of my meal consisted of noodles. They charged me $15-20 for noodles. They were fantastic noodles, but still...where was all the chicken and veggies that would warrant a price point like that? Portion size was okay, but I'd be willing to sacrifice a little bit of the amazing flavor for about half the price elsewhere. My roll was good, but the highlight was dessert. My love affair with Sushi Siam got serious when I discovered the thai donuts. Oh. Em. Gee. They're incredible balls of warm, fried dough with powdered sugar and an out-of-this-world dipping sauce. If you don't like sushi or Asian cuisine, skip it and just come for dessert. It serves 2-4 people depending on how much you want to share...you may want to go alone because you won't want to share. Service is awful. Really slow, and they have trouble speaking and understanding English. The decor inside is nice. It's dimly lit with pretty art on the walls. It feels like an upscale lounge. Outdoor seating would be nice with great weather, but it's cheap cafe/diner seating. If I'm handing over $70-100 for dinner & drinks for 2, please don't make me sit in cheap chairs that belong at the pizza place across the street. I'll be back for dessert!
