This review only reflects this specific location. I have been to a few other and the food is good and service is ok. However the two stars for this place is thanks to the absolutely horrible server we had that day. We were a party of 6 and from the second we sat down we had issues with the service. The waitress had trouble taking our orders and getting it right. She kept bringing out food and drinks we had not order and at one point argued with us about the stuff she was bringing. To top off the night when the bill came she had charged us for a few of the items we had not order not eaten. It truly ruined our dinner experience and I personally wouldn't go back to this location.

Extremely highly overpriced if you're looking to get good prices don't come here at all everything is overpriced it is OK but I've honestly gone to cheaper sushi restaurants with just as good quality or even better that are more reasonably priced

Came here for lunch and it's very expensive. A bowl of rice, small portion of chicken teriyaki, and mini coke can. $16.00. Service is very good and the restaurant is very nice, but not a lunch spot.

Every time I come here something wrong happens, they either over charge me or forget to give me something today it took 30 minutes to get food sitting down. Servers are in their own little world and my food was sitting on the counter for like 15 mins very upsetting service for such high prices. Go down the street to Ruson way better.

I've been to the one in Brickell but had no idea there was one in Kendall. Super sweet server! I ordered my fave, miso/egg drop soup which was delicious as always and enough to share. He had the Miami Heat Roll and I had the Tiger Roll, both very good. Went through 2 tall sakes and 4 beers as well. Fast service, good food and dope decor. I'm not too into chain spots, but this one passes. MISO EGG DROP SOUP BRO -TPK

Great service and delicious rolls. Kendall Roll and UM roll are definitely my favorites. I'd stay away from the Miso Soup though...just tastes like water. The Sashimi appetizer is great bang for your buck. 9 THICK slices of sashimi for $14. I usually add a bowl of brown rice to this for just $3. No delivery after 12:00 midnight. Open until 1am some nights, which is pretty convenient in the Kendall area because most places close at 10pm. Kani Su: No rice. instead its krab, avocado and masago rolled in cucumber drizzled with rice vinegar. Good low cal. appetizer. The Margaret Roll (Tuna, Salmon, White Fish and Krab topped with "spicy tuna" which means its topped with tuna slice and drizzled with a spicy red sauce. The roll was good but the sauce was not. next time I'll get it without the spicy sauce. it reminds me of ketchup. ..why is there ketchup on my sushi? bleh .

I LOVE THIS PLACE! One of my favorite sushi restaurants in Miami and I've gone to ALOT. There's about 6 sushisake but this one is my favorite and again, I've gone to all them. Everything from the alcohol to the appetizers to the desserts are awesome. The rolls are awesome. Miami Heat, Yummi, wahoo crunch, Margaret, Kendall. They're all good depending on your preference. The decorations are really modern and really set the mood for any type of occasion. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Dining in I would not be able to rate; however tried to place an order for delivery and on the first attempt I was on hold for 10 minutes having to call back. On my second attempt I was actually hang up and not giving up and giving the benefit of the doubt...called again explained what had happened and the leafy tells that for delivery it would be more an hour wait and if I still wanted to place the order.. Could if they just told me that from on the first call. Truly the sense of good customer service is inexistent.

Diverse sushi options, fresh taste, decent portions, and reasonably priced for when you want sushi. My favorite roll so far is the Miami Heat Roll, would like to try to taste them all. However the only thing I don't like is the music videos blasting so in this case if it isn't too hot outside I prefer sitting outside.

Due to living a few blocks away and my constant craving for sushi, I've become a regular here. The location is pretty tiny. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and the sushi is great! It's not the best sushi I've ever had but it's definitely really good. I usually get the Miami heat roll *heart eyes* *drool* highly recommend it! The tempura cheesecake and Thai donuts are delish. The tempura brownie is MASSIVE. Like more than enough for four people to happily share and then some.

Love their new location in Hammocks. It's so convenient, located next to my house. Their vegetable fried rice is amazing and special sauce is one of my favorites. We just went for lunch and ordered the fried cheese appetizer, tuna tataki, crunchy spicy tuna roll, vegetable fried rice, and edamame. Everything was delicious. Their ambiance is trendy but with no dress code. For dessert they always serve pink cotton candy. I just wish they had a location in South Miami, but I'm sure they will open one soon. They are popping up every where. If you love sushi and listening to top 40 music, go to Sushi Sake.

Great sushi! Don't order take out on a Saturday night (you'll be waiting a long time).

We ordered the Marlins roll and the Dolphins roll. Both were fantastic and tasted great. We started with the calamari and it could have used a little less of the "fried" taste. Other then that it was a great trip and we will definitely return.

Diana is the best. And the Godzilla roll. Also Johan. Also edamame a are finger liking good. The miso soup is exquisite. I love sushi forever. Soy sauce is cool too. Light on sodium!

The worst service I have ever received! We felt bad for the chef and hostess as they were the only people doing their jobs. A place that charges $20 for certain sushi rolls should not be run by a group of hormone driven teenagers. Never going back!

Usually get delivery from here. The fried rice with chicken is delicious, especially the sauce they give you on the side. It's a bit pricey for what it is but not too big of a deal, over all pretty good. Sushi is fresh but nothing special but location is what makes this place convenient for me.

Come around noon..the place is empty..the food is delicious. If you are craving some Japanese food especially sushi come here. The fried rice are so good especially with that orange sauce.

I been to sushi sake in 6 occasions already. Overall the service is good and attentive. The food is yummy with the exception of yesterday that the roll I always get "Miami heat roll" tasted odd because the rice tasted like vinegar... Maybe they were having a bad day but overall the food is good. If you are looking for traditionally made Japanese food this is not the place but they do have a wide variety of rolls that are palatable. For dessert if you don't get the brownie tempura...you are missing out! If you have a sweet tooth like me then you must make room ;)

Stopped by today for take out, great hostess, the service not very friendly nor do they ask how can they help you, although my order taker was very nice. Food was awesome! Loved the special fried rice, a little over price but worth it. I am giving the place a 4 only because to me customer service is priority and felt this place lacked friendliness!

My first tme here was a nice experience, nothing great but OK. Now I came with my wife and tried different rolls. They are OK. Attention is good, but sometimes they might get pushy

They use very large plastic containers for take out/delivery. It is a huge waste... The "Yummy roll" comes with some disgusting gooey thing on top. Didn't like the Calle ocho roll. And we spent $50 for 3 rolls and an appetizer for a meal we didn't love. I'm really disappointed.

Sushi Sake makes other sushi restaurants seem like they never evolved. The food is ridiculously good (Renee sauce is tantric), the service is always on point, the drinks are great and the atmosphere is hip, modern and comfy all at the same time. Our server was awesome and the manga Ricky came by and spoke to all the patrons ensuring everyone was cool. It's been a while since a restaurant made me write a review. Prices are not low, but for the food and service, it is a value even at higher prices. Sushi Sake is worth the time, money and experience. Go now!

Decided to hit up their happy hour this week mostly out of convenience, since it's basically walking distance from my house.. Not that I walked it, but still. Got there around 6 and it was emptier than Marlins stadium, but don't let that deter you. The appetizers were half-price and the vegetarian spring rolls were solid. The Miami Heat roll is the most Miami sushi roll I've ever had. It's what I imagine Los Perros creating if they decided to open a sushi place.. And I mean that in the best way possible. Beers were also half price, so a 12 oz. bottle of Kirin Light was $2.. Hard to beat. Only complaint is that Sake bombs are $7 and it only comes with one shot of Sake.. They should replicate the RA Sushi model and give LeBron-sized bottles of Kirin and bottles of Sake for that price. When Happy Hour isn't in effect, the prices can be a bit steep considering the location. Oh, and there were TVs playing 90s music videos in the bathroom. I don't know about you, but if I can choose, I'd always rather be serenaded by Master P when I take a leak. But maybe that's just me.

This place looked really nice... But the service was horrible. We waited for 25 minutes and we were not even acknowledge by the staff... The place was empty there were only 2 tables and us. The waitress kept walking back and forth without even looking at us... It is very disappointed that a place so nice can be ruined by the staff an the lack of customer service... I will never go back to this sushi sake and I will make the drive to any other locations instead... The worst part is that when we decided to walk out, the waitress had the audacity to asked if no one had helped us yet... I really hope they change the staff in this location because it is in a very good location and a very nice place but no one will be willing to put up with that type of service.

The only thing that impressed me with this place was the great service that my waiter Christian gave me (really nice guy) and the cotton candy they give you with the check although I ended up going to work with blue teeth. That was about it. I went for lunch...their lunch specials are not so special which may explain the empty restaurant. I got the shrimp fried rice...it was pretty much all rice. I looked at the rest of the menu there and I found it to be pretty pricey. I mean come on...$16.00 for a Calle Ocho roll that has ham croqueta in it...no seafood...croquetas and avocado....$16.00....Really?

Calle Ocho roll is unique, inventive and yummy! Wait staff is nice. As I can be a pain when it comes to wanting things not on the menu ;) I looooove cotton candy so that was awesome at the end! Yay me

I'm not a big sushi buff, but anything I order here tends to be pretty great. I usually go for the fried rice, which is at a decent price compared to everything else. Not to say that the food is over priced, but it's not a first choice when you're thinking of a cheap place to dine in. Definitely a nice and quiet date night spot.

I'm pretty sure the people who work here know my order by memory. I love sushi sake, its one of my favorite sushi joints. It's a little steep in price but worth it for certain things. The Miami Heat roll is my favorite! So yummy. Chicken fried rice.........heaven especially with the shrimp sauce. Ugh, so good. I've only ordered pick up and delivery from here and they always arrive early and have my food ready.

Terrible sushi rolls and way too expensive! No wonder this place is always empty! I just got charged $10+ for a Kani Su! Less than 1 star! Never eating here again!

Had takeout today. Place looks nice. I would rate the food 5 stars since its extremely fresh. I gave an overall rating of 4 because they food is overpriced when compared to nearby sushi places. I'd give it a 3.5 if I could. I guess that's how they manage to afford the overhead involved in staying open until 5 am. I won't go back because its overpriced.

We walked in on a friday around 6 and not many people although by the time we left the place was packed. Location is not very big, although they seemed to fit a good amount of tables. they also have a bar area. Service was fast, waiter very friendly and helpful. We tried several appetizers including shrimp tempura:really good with side sauce, cheese maki:which is fried cheddar pastry, I personally didn't care for them, spring rolls with sweet and spicy sauce: comes with 3, very good. The firecracker appetizer with crab, 3 , comes served on a type of fried cracker, sweet and very tasty. We tried the California roll, cut in 10 pieces, nice for sharing and the lobster roll, that was kind of amazing, nice size plate for the price, Included avocado , lobster, asparagus and cucumbers topped with pink spicy mayo sauce. The menu is extensive and has other selections besides sushi, like teriyaki meats with rice, fried rice and others and a selection of drinks. We didn't have much room for desert but they gave us cotton candy with our check. The decor is very nice, Chic and modern with tv's all around showing videos of whatever music they are playing, entertaining while you wait for food. The presentation of the food itself is very nice and appetizing, almost too pretty to eat. Parking can be challenging as this is located in a strip mall between a gym and a supermarket, but its a private lot. It's a bit pricey but overall enjoyable experience.

Server was kind but not really efficient at his job. My girlfriend had a roll 30-40 minutes before I got my Hibachi Steak. Kitchen was supposedly backed up. Managers seem to be having a lot of fun interacting with tables, dancing around, when they should've been making sure foods came out on time. Table next to me apparently was having the same issue with the "backed up" kitchen. They brought out a ridiculous amount of rice, which I didn't mind. At least they bring their tables cotton candy with the check as a way of saying "sorry the service was terrible but here's something hip to make up for it". Sushi Sake does a really great job of creating a young ambience, dreadful job at running a decent business.

I travel allot for business so I visit many restaurants. I came across this small but vey high end ambiance sushi place and WOW was I really surprised. Store was extremely clean, had a new age decor with great music and had plan plentiful selection on the menu. The restrooms were cleaner than my home's and I'm a super clean and neat guy. The service was perfect but I was there for lunch so not sure how they handle the evening rush. The food was really really good. Definitely will come back and recommend this place to anyone.
