Great subs! Good variety on the menu. Quick service. I call ahead to order but really not necessary

Definitely one of the best subs I've ever had. The only downfall is that the location is very small so it's hard to find a place to sit down and eat. Parking is also rough. There's a small parking lot with maybe 10 spaces at most. If there isn't parking, you have to sit and wait until someone leaves. It's definitely worth the wait. The service is also great; very fast and efficient. I would recommend going at an "off time" as lunch time gets packed. I prefer to go around 2:00-3:00. It's much less busy.

the sub Nazi! Old man never lets anyone touch his grill and for good reason. Subs here are fire!! A hidden gem. Standing room only practically tho but who cares. Go here and be fat! Pig out in the comfort of your car and get grease and crumbs all over your interior

  • Manny J.

While driving on Bird rd trying yo find a place for a quick bite we came across this place, its a small mom and pops sandwich shop that makes one of the most amazing sub's. If the place was a bit bigger with more room to sit I'd give it a 5 star but as far as the food, beyond satisfied! Btw the owners and staff really friendly which is a big plus as well.

Hands down the best subs in town. No one comes close. Parking can be rough and the place is tight, but that's part of its charm. Subs are huge, and every bit is amazing.

  • Alex B.

I agree with previews reviews! This place is great! Small seating area (literally 7 stools) so better to take it to go. Nice mom n pop shop! Great taste!!

Best subs in town, been coming here for 5 years now. Friendly staff, family owned and operated.

  • Vincent F.

My wife and I have been coming to super subs for a few years now. The chicken bomb is really good. The small sub is actually big enough for us to share. Couple of things to note, the parking lot is small and there is limited seating.

If I lived near to Super Subs I would probably be hitting it up at least once a month when I was too lazy to cook or craving a sandwich overflowing with toppings. Yes, I had to put some of my toppings back into the sandwich cause it was falling out. This is always a good sign, cause who likes a skimpy sandwich. Yah, no one. I was starving but didn't want to get too full because we had dinner reservations at Red the Steakhouse so I got a regular turkey sub although I really wanted to try their steak subs. I love a good steak sub and hadn't had one since living at home. The bread was probably the best part, soft but not too doughy.I bet when toasted it stays crispy on the outside while staying soft on the inside. The place was pretty busy for 2pm and it definitely looks like there are many regulars who frequent it. The staff was so friendly and I seriously wish I had time to try their steak sub. :( My only complaint was that although I asked for no mayo, they lathered my sub with it, ewww. Oh well, it was yummy so I had no complaints. YELP 365: 147/365

Best sub place in all of 305!! My brother told me about this place for months but I thought he was just all hype. I was SO wrong. This place is the truth! Love their steak and cheese. Meat quality is what sets this place apart. Parking ain't so great but it's worth it once you get your food! So yeah... I love this place! Give them a try and you will keep coming back for more!

Always my go to place for take out subs. Have had several different subs and all have been delish, my fav is the chicken teriyaki. The bread is super soft which is a plus

Really realyyyyyyyyy good subs. And quick service. Small inside, really clean recommended

  • Jennifer B.

Fresh, top quality ingredients! My husband has had several items on the menu & he applauds every single one! We took my brother here so he can experience the deliciousness for himself & he is now a huge fan, too. My personal fave is their omelette sub! It's amazing! Stay clear of franchised sub shops & give this family owned & operated business a try. You won't be disappointed. You're welcome!

Super Subs is your local, no frills sub joint that's inexpensive and delicious! They grill all of your meat right there and the staff have been working there for years. Everything about this place screams local. Highly recommended, you won't spend over $10 on a sub and drink here and they're MASSIVE.

  • Vanessa J.

This place is always packed and there's barely ever parking, but trust me, it is worth the wait! It's tiny insde, so I usually order, run into my car and stuff my mouth with what I'd like to call, HEAVEN. I'm obsessed with the cheeseburger sub, but they are all so good. The chicken cordon bleu is fantastic. The chicken or steak bomb is perfection. Seriously, nothing and I mean NOTHING beats this place. I refuse to eat a sub unless it's from here. I used to love quiznos, but Subs Etc. takes a huge dump on quiznos.. or anything for that matter. The service is great. The girls that work there are very nice and so are the owners (who are always there preparing the subs). I really love this place, and I'll never ever stop coming.

  • Armando L.

Fries are great, burger sub was ok. Have had a few other subs off the menu and the consistency has been good. A great go-to place for a quick lunch in the area. All lunches have been take-out. Can't speak to the location itself.

  • Alina P.

I just ate there today! YUM The subs are delicious, the staff is friendly and efficient. Try the cheese steak, with mushrooms, lettuce, tomato and provolone cheese to experience the delight of a great sub. It is so juicy and full of flavor. The key to their success is that their subs are excellent every time. Always, always, always perfect... top recommendations for this small no frills eatery.Go there lunch or a weekend treat you won't be sorry... Enjoy Welcome to Miami .com

Been here before when I visited Miami have had subs at many places such as Quiznos,Miami Subs,Subway and Publix. Even though this establishment is not available in Miami I had heard good things about it and wanted to check it out, there subs are good but not the best why ? There bread Is not that great or there meats like at Publix were the meats are cut fresh daily and you can even have specialty subs made for you. Good place to eat at in Miami if you want to stay away from big sub establishments like Subway etc. but I will stick with Publix, much quicker and less wait plus I also did not like that there was not much seating available. Over all three stars for beating other business as far as quality and costumer service,In my book this place almost beats all the competition..almost! Also on a note the subs at Publix you get more for your money, here you get what you see, over all not a bad place but not the "BEST" subs I have ever had .

Best Subs In Town. If you are hungry and want some fresh hot (or cold) subs, you are at the right place! They make your hot subs on the grill!!! NOT microwaved, or through a heating roller like the big chains do. It was our first time visiting the sub place today, and here is what we find: Vegetables are fresh, I ordered the roast beef, and it was done medium rare, just the way it supposed to be. The 12" is also HUGE, I can barely finish it. My wife had the Steak-n-Onion and it's the most tender and flavorful steak sub I've ever tasted. Good thing we live few blocks down the road, will sure be visiting them often from now on.

Never, ever eat at a chain sub shop, always go for the independents because more often than not you will end up at a place like Super Subs. To begin, this place is immaculately clean. They have an extensive Sub menu. They have multiple choices of hot or mild peppers for your sub. They put meat on your sub. They take subs serious here. You will not be disappointed.

    (5)
  • Jenny S.

I absolutely love this place. It's a family owned hole in the wall sub shop. The menu is extensive, everything from your standard ham and cheese to your steak bombs. The place is always packed but you can call your order ahead of time. Parking sucks but nothing good ever comes for nothing, right? I ALWAYS order a hot turkey and bacon with american cheese and mayo...INCREDIBLE. It's the same every single time, no surprises or disappointments. My hubby has ordered the Philly steak (he loves it). Today he had the chicken cordon bleu...his reaction: FIRE!!!!! The subs are delicious, the service is incredible (I always see the owners there which explains why quality and service have never been short of awesome), and the energy is great. One of my fav lunch spots...for sure!!!

    (5)
  • Daniel D.

One of if not the best sub shops in Miami. Family owned and operated and just friendly. Steak and cheese is the best and not to mention the hamburger sub is mouth watering.

  • Christina C.

Although my favorite hot pastrami sandwiches are from "The Hat" in Southern California - the hot pastrami sandwiches at Super Sub are excellent! This is where I go to get my pastrami fix in the South Miami/Coral Gables area. All in all, I've never been disappointed by any of their sandwiches - I highly recommend them. It's been ages, but I think you can call your order in ahead of time, which is a smart idea, considering how busy this place gets at lunchtime.

  • Yaxel C.

So I was at Super Subs this afternoon since is close to home and I always follow my fellow yelper's advice on good food. I ordered the steak & onion 12" sub. Started eating it on the way home and noticed 2 things, bland, added salt once I got home and fixed the issue, the other is the onions, they are supposed to be either julienned or cut very thinly so they get soft while being cooked with the steak. This did not happen, no flavor sub with crunchy onions. When compared to a sub I just had Friday in pompano beach and comparing to this one I could not bring myself to give it anything higher than a 3!! Will try the chicken cordon bleu one to give it another chance.

  • Jacob L.

For a small mom & pop sup sub shop this is as good as it gets. Good sandwiches well priced. The staff isn't rude or overly friendly, they are nice and to the point. They are also quick which is important.

  • Chris C.

Great subs. The large is just a dollar more. I've had the chicken teriyaki bomb and the chicken Cordon Bleu blue. Both were very good.

    (5)
  • Sabrina V.

Their chicken bomb is the most delicious sandwich! I frequent this sub shop, at least, once every month. I can't help myself! It is always packed with anxious consumers waiting for their mouth-watering subs. I highly recommend trying this the next time you're in the mood for a hot sub. The only issues are: limited seating inside and limited parking spots. However, well worth the wait!!!! Oh and try their fries, delicious!

    (5)
  • Carlos V.

This has to be one of the best sub shops in the Miami area. I have gone through at least 8 different shops and the quality of meat at those places are less than Mcd's or BK. I always get the Philly and the Honey Mustard Chicken and everytime i order them, they taste the excellent... consistency is why this place stands out. If you dont believe me, try Christy's on Sunset, the one on Bird and 102ave, the one by Dadeland next to the 7eleven, and you will quickly see how much better the meat quality is at Super Subs. Just my .02. PS - Just wish they were open later on Sunday. EDIT - Havent tried RC Subs, but my friend EF says its the bomb... gotta check it out.

  • Mike N.

Very friendly staff and enormous menu. I had the steak and cheese with all the fixings. I would definitely go back and try others.

Haven't been here in years but seems like the new ownership is really serious about making good food. Bought the grilled chicken, streak sandwich and Italian. It's not Philly but didn't need to be. They have their own flavor and style and it's great.

  • Miggy F.

Got the bomb pork and it was awesome!

    (4)
  • Emilio F.

never disapoints. if you are looking to eat here, do not come during lunch hour, parking is limited and so is seating. Which makes it an adventure all on its own. sign says been in business for over 30 years and family own, you can really see that. when they are slow they really take the time to talk to you and offer a good choice of sub. everything on their menu is fresh, and great tasting.

  • Reilly E.

I have been going here since I moved to South Miami about 15 years ago. I have always ordered the same "Recession Special" sub and refuse to order anything else!! My boyfriend gets the philly cheese steak everytime and swears by it! It really is the best in Miami. I will NEVER go anywhere else. They really do have the best damn subs in Miami!! I hope they never change!! Oh yeah, and the owners are awesome and are the sweetest people you'll ever meet.

  • Rey A.

This is one of my favorite sub shops in Miami. I have been coming here for years and the subs are always fantastic. Portions are really generous and this family owned business always serves up a smile. Free refills on drinks. Don't forget the cheese fries (the give lots of cheese).

    (5)
  • Carlos B.

They make the BEST subs in Miami hands down! It doesn't get much better than these guys.

Best subs in South Miami! Super Friendly! I've been eating here since I was in middle school!

  • Maida C.

I LOVE Super Subs with all my fat ass heart!!! It is the only sub shop to come close to my beloved Hungry Bear in West Kendall! The subs are all prepared fresh to order, they are FULL of meat, tons of awesome toppings, and dripping with delicious, greasy, juicy goodness. The owners are as sweet as can be, and they will change, add, create, invent whatever sub you are feeling that day. But the ultimate pièce de ré·sis·tance at Super Subs are the BEER BATTERED ONION RINGS!!! Holy moly, cheat on your diet, forget about being thin....these are sooooo good!! Made fresh to order, plump, huge, crispy and so tasty!! I love this little Bird Road hidden gem and I'll be back again and again and again!!!

  • Carl-Frederick F.

I didn't give it a 5 star due to the bread .the meat is amazing, seasoning on point, portions terrific, price fair, service great .Very friemdly place with a homey vibe.the bread is the only flaw for me.I would recommend a baguette for bread since the sandwiches always end up bwign very soggy.I had the cordon bleu and I thought it was because I said add oil that the bread was so drenched ,so I came back 2 hours late for a steak bomb.and same issue.overall great experience still

  • Julio H.

This is still the most legit sub shop in the area. It's crazy to think that so much satisfaction can be stored in a roll of bread. I sometimes feel humbled after eating here... I mean, what's more simple than throwing meat and vegetables on a grill and then placing them on a sub roll? No special technique, no exotic ingredients, no house sauces, no fancy decor, just a plain delicious sub. I sometimes feel stupid for going to fine dining restaurants or having pretentious food after eating here. My favorite sub here is the steak bomb. I have been a fan of that sandwich ever since it came into my life. I don't know when the term steak bomb was coined, or who originated this madness of flavor, but I love it just the same. Super Subs' steak bomb is very generous, with lots of meat, grilled vegetables, cheese, and salad. I like to add some hot sauce (mild, imo), some provolone, and I skip on the pickles. Unlike other shops, the flavors are very bold here. My other favorites are the California chicken, the meatball sub, tuna, veggie sub, among others. The second thing I love about this place is that besides the usual potato chips (baked, fried, kettle, salt & vinegar, etc.), they make French fries and onion rings. Now, the fries are pretty good, better than most burger joints, but the onion rings are exceptional. They are delicious, fresh and pretty big. I almost always order a side of onion rings here. Over the years, I have discovered that the best way to appreciate Super Subs is to sit at the counter and enjoy your sub, specially if it's a hot sub, because when it's packed to go, the heat of the meats and vegetables cooks the salad and makes the bread get soggy. Dine in and to-go are two completely different experiences, but still, both are pretty good experiences, if I may add. This may not apply to tuna subs or meatball subs, but it applies to everything else pretty much. Finally, Super Subs sits in a small shopping strip. It is a quaint sub shop with enough counter space to sit about ten people. The subs rule and the people that work here are very friendly. They have take out, so you can call and pick up your subs, or sit down and enjoy the view of Bird road. Whichever you do, do it well.

  • Kristin C.

I love you, Super Subs. I cheated today with Subrageous and I promise I will never do it again. It meant nothing, I swear to you. Please forgive me. I've never had a bad sub here. Never. This place is great and they are really good peoples.

  • Nikita L.

Went there for a quick bite before seeing clients. The place is tiny, and no bathroom! Their bread tastes bland, and the meats are like those cheap lunch meats. Can't believe I paid $7.59 for a stupid 6inch sandwich. What a rip off. You'll get better sub for half the price at Subway! You walk out smell like you work in a kitchen. Just terrible! Won't go back again.

  • Harold V.

I get my honey mustard chicken sub fix from this small (read tiny) business which is always bustling with customers. They serve generously and are always consistent in terms of flavor, freshness and expediency. I usually call my order in and pick it up 5-10 minutes later. The place sits about 5 or 6 people so you're lucky if you get a seat, hence why I always pick it up. I can always rely on Super Subs to make my honey mustard chicken just the way I like it.

How do you convince a business owner to change the name of his business to Super-Duper Subs? A friend of mine tuned me into this place. After eating here, I kept wondering how it was that I've never been here? How have I been missing the yummy delicious goodness of these amazing subs? I strongly recommend you visit Super Subs once in your life. After you have one their specialty subs, you may decide to make this a regular stop on your way home. All their subs are made on the spot (hot or cold) using fresh ingredients. The steak bombs are well... "DA BOMB!" and you can make any sub a combo for a very reasonable upcharge. If you eat in, fountain soda refills are free and you can watch others sit in rush hour traffic while you're enjoying a mouthgasm! I'm already thinking of what sub I'll have next.....hmm? PS. Tip the guys a few bucks, they put a lot of love into their subs so show some love back.

  • Danielle O.

No hot grill sub shop like this in the area, but even if there was another place right next door, this place is still 5 stars. Call ahead and pick up, sub is ready in minutes. Awesome place.

  • Glenda C.

This sub shop is super tiny. More of an order and pickup place. It has a few stool seats, bar style.....maybe can sit up to 8 people. Went here with a friend as she said they had the best subs, so of course i had to try it out. What I luved the most about my visit was how friendly they were. The lady which I think is the owner was incredibly nice. She made recommendations about what to get and provided great service. They did really well attending everyone as it is a small place, lots of customers came by and they provided excellent service to all. Now on to the food. I ordered a hot sub the cheesesteak bomb without the barbecue sauce which is pretty much a cheesesteak with mushrooms, onions, green peppers and cheese. I got it on a whole wheat bread (just to make myself feel a little better). It was delicious! We also shared some spiced fries and they were super yummy. Also, I noticed they have fruit punch and a grape drink as options other than soda. I tried both and they were oh so good and very sweet. Definitely recommend this sub shop, left from here satisfied. :)

There must be some serious love put into these sandwiches because they are absolutely incredible. The bread is so soft and delicious and the quality of the meat and the toppings are top notch. I have serious cravings for these subs. They put that famous grocery stores subs to shame. I just love this little hole in the wall place and when I find myself in the gables, I will do whatever it takes to get myself here. Seating is very limited (8 seats) but the seats turnover quickly. During lunch hours, there is usually a long line but it does move much quicker than it looks. You can call ahead to to place your order and skip the line as well. The staff is very friendly, super efficient, and extremely personable. There is parking on both sides of this strip center. The menu has both hot and cold subs. For bread, there is both a wheat and white option. For drinks, they have both canned and fountain soda, teas, Gatorade, the apple juice that comes in the little glass apple (my favorite), and water. They have a decent selection of chips, mostly kettle cooked (my fave). I would skip their macaroni salad (not the greatest).

  • Gaby B.

In my opinion best place to get a sub hot sub in miami ( I've never tried the cold ones). The food is always fresh, service is nice and they do NOT skimp on the protein (like most places do) Also, they usually have specials which give you free drink with your sub. This place gets packed, and for a good reason. Its worth the wait ... PS. they have awesome potato wedge fries, and they also have a soda machine with cherry coke - yumm

Hands down the best Sub Shop in Miami. Been coming her for over 20 years. From the Bacon Cheeseburger sub, to the Honey Mustard Chicken, all the subs I have had are great!

    (5)
  • Frances S.

The subs are AMAZING!!! But.... their welcoming is horrendous. There is a very young boy that is supposed to "welcome you". Instead of him saying " Welcome to Super Subs, is it for here or a pick up? ", the moment you walk through that door, he says " for here or a pick up? " You don't even know where the voice is coming from because he doesn't even makes eye contact. Sometimes, service, is just as important as the quality of the food.

  • Ashley M.

This sub place is awesome! Best subs in Miami. Don't waste your hard earned money on subway when you can go here for lunch. I've been coming here every Monday for the last 3 weeks and have yet to be disappointed at all. The people are super friendly, the food is delicious, and you can't beat the prices! The portions are so large I can only order a small haha.

    (5)
  • Nelson H.

I can't stop coming here for lunch. No matter what sub you order, it will be the best sub you've ever had! Excellent variety, quality and service. The steak subs are particularly amazing; however, everything is just awesome. The price point is also very reasonable; plentiful portion for what you're paying. I would highly recommend driving to this place for lunch. You will absolutely enjoy it.

I have zero patience! So when I came here the first time and noticed how crowded it was I didn't think I would return. Luckily, logic prevailed and I managed to make another attempt today after work, and boy am I glad I did. The place is very small, and so is the parking. (Note their are two parking lots) they do not have a restroom so make sure you go before. They were very fast and friendly and luckily we arrived at the right time because there were no crowds! We decided to share a Foot Long Steak & Pastrami and it was STACKED! Very flavorful and well seasoned and definitely NOT stingy with the portions. We also tried their seasoned fries, delicious! Price seemed reasonable, I would recommend this sub shop to anyone wanting a gigantic delicious sub! One small complaint was, they have a sign advertising "delicious key pie" so I asked the server if they were any good, which of course he said "yes". I will post a picture of this "Delicious Key Lime Pie" (FYI, when you advertise a "PIE" make sure it's an actual PIE! And not a frozen dessert in a cup.

Great Subs! Super Subs!! Food was made when ordered and the turn around time was quick! Lots of people appear to call in orders for pick up. They offer great variety in subs and desserts. Even have a pickle selection. Chicken cordon blue is a fantastic sub along with some grape juice that they offer.

    (5)
  • Hilda J.

Best sub shop in Miami, no one even comes close. I have been coming here for more than 25 years and they still make quick, quality subs with all the fixings. Fresh toppings, service with a smile and just good ol mom and pops sub shop. Opened in 1977, I hope they stay for another 35 years.

Super Subs is a hidden gem! The joint is small but the employees assist the all day incoming customers quickly and efficiently! I ordered the Cheeseburger Sub and it was so delicious! My mom ordered the Philly Steak Sub and my goodness it was mouth watering! If your in the area you should definitely swing by!

I grew up eating at super subs, previously known as subs etc. The subs have always been off the chain. The steak, onion and cheese is amazing. Parking can be a pain in the ass. Call ahead if you can cuz there can be a lunch crowd. Since 1984 this place has never disappointed.

  • Jorge F.

I'm rating this place full stars because of the amazing service I received the other day from Nelson. This young man was amazing. He worked that grill like a pro. He made awesome recommendations and I ended up getting the Cordon Bleu with honey mustard. It was fire! He also recommended that I try the buffalo sauce and it was amazing. He definitely made this spot pop! I'll definitely be back! Thank you Nelson and Super Subs!

    1) take napkins 2) be prepared to use hazard lights 3) order ahead Went there at lunch time, thank God I ordered ahead! Huge line and I had to park across the street on the grass. Got a steak bomb, very juicy and delicious and some chips with free soda. Place always seems to be packed, good to Variety and unique selections. The only reason I don't give this five stars, is that the steak in my bomb sandwich could have been a better quality. I will for sure give this place a second try and order something different!

  • Jen D.

This place never disappoints! I've been coming here for years now, probably 3 times a month if not more. They are very generous with their portions of meat and veggies. My favorite is the steak bomb with grilled jalapeños 1/2 honey mustard 1/2 barbecue sauce. The cons, there is few seating, and this place is always slammed for lunch.

    (5)
  • Keith P.

Super Subs is tucked away in a random strip mall off Bird Road, so this place is really easy to miss, but their subs are delicious. I highly recommend the Cordon Bleu sub. It is really messy to eat, but it's delicious and tastes really fresh. Besides the food, the service is very family-oriented. They definitely greet all their customers very welcomingly.

Hmmm.... in the mood for one of the best subs in Miami. Got the BBQ steak bomb sub with cheese fries!!!

  • Ginett F.

My best friend and I never tire of getting subs here! They are the best! Made fresh everytime! They are a little in the pricier side but TOTALLY worth it! My favorite subs are the Chicken Teriyaki and the BBQ Chicken! Yum! ... Warning: eating it can get a little messy; make sure to get plenty of napkins! :)

  • Chuk R.

This is a family owned store with excellent quality meats. The owners take your order and cook the sub. I don't come more often because it is not close to me. I highly recommend. One negative you will smell like a sub if stay in and eat. Best to order on phone pickup and eat at home.

Had the meatball sub. They were very nice, the food was fast and delicious.

I really want to like this place. The service was fast, the bread and toppings were fresh and delicious but the meat (I had the California Chicken w/cheese) was not seasoned at all (bland) and overcooked to the point that the chicken was dry. I will probably return in hopes that the cook will use this review constructively.

I have to agree without everyone this sun spot has been amazing for years and years! I only wish sometimes it was bigger because it gets slammed during lunch but it's very fresh and the special the cholesterol killer which is steak cheese and bacon is amazing!!!! Staff is friendly I highly recommend

There are few very good sub shops in Miami, but this is definitely one of them. They are a simple mom and pop shop with the best subs near coral gables. I ordered the honey mustard chicken sub. The chicken was cooked perfectly and smothered in a delicious honey mustard sauce with provolone melted in the mix. The large is really big, and will fill you for under ten bucks.

Super subs?? I always asked myself, why in the world is a sub place so highly rated on yelp? On my first visit they slapped me with the answer; they make the best hot sub i have ever tasted. I have been eating hot subs since high school so i consider myself a phd on the subject. I tried the steak bomb, and it was legit. What made it stand out from the rest? The meat they use seems to be of a higher grade that their competitors. In an age of Taco bell imitation meat & horses disappearing from local farms, meat quality is not something that should be down played or taken lightly. Why not 5 stars? The parking is horrific. The wait for parking will be just as long as the wait for your sub. Also, the place is cramped. I have nothing bad to say about the price (about $9 with drink for a large sub), and the flavors were good, plenty of ingredient options. Should a sub place be given 5 stars? Im not sure, but I tip my cap to them. Well played.

Second only to the original Hungry Bear. Love this place. Many great hot subs and awesome seasoned fries with cheese sauce. Seating is the only issue.

Definitely this is the best sub shop in this area. I have tried the hot and the cold subs and while most of them are very good, I always come back to the hot chicken and cheese with mushrooms & hot peppers. To me that sub is just the perfect combo and pretty much heaven.

Dear Super Subs, Why your name is just "Subs" on Yelp beats the hell out of me, but I'll go with it... ;-) You rock. Really. You rock my world!!! It had been ages since I had eaten here, and now I find myself in your neighborhood on Mondays... Which is perfect because you make the best "dinner on the run"! Being family-owned is a huge plus, because you make eating here such a personal experience. Already eaten here twice since my return, and have not been disappointed at all. In fact, it's just amazing! I almost ate 2 subs in one sitting, just because it was so darn good, but did not go down that path as I do not want to end up shaped like a sub. ;-) There are subs of all kinds and for all tastes, which makes this already better than a Subway, Quiznos or even Publix Subs (which come in a close 2nd). From hot to cold, from steak to turkey, and even fried buffalo chicken in between, one can never go hungry or not find something they like. That solves a lot of issues between my love and I because we usually are craving something completely different. One of my favorite aspects of eating here is watching all of the ingredients get cooked and prepared right in front of my face! I can smell the steak grilling while my stomach anxiously awaits its meal. Which brings me to my next point - my favorite sub, steak & cheese, with mushrooms & onions. Everything gets grilled to perfection, a little salt, a little pepper, maybe some mayo on the bread, and before I know it, I have perfection. It's just so darn good! Someone mentioned soggy subs, Grace R., and look, I can understand that all the delicious juices can make the bread soggy, but what that means is you just have to eat faster! We've also tried the Ruben, which had turkey and corned beef, and was super yummy, but still, the steak is my fave. :) A great place to get the freshest subs in town! Thank you for your deliciousness. It's a shame I've been away for a few years, but glad to have rekindled my love. All the best, SabrinaAnna*

Came here for lunch with the family... It was my first time here, and it was.... AMAZING! The ham was so fresh and to see the bacon being cooked in front of my face unlike in Subways which serves precooked bacon. Wow! It was truly fresh and delicious. Also the provologne cheese flavor was not subtle like other places. It was grade A, very tasty! Next time, I want to try the chicken sandwich which looks like no chicken I've seen before. It's cut and fried in their perfectly clean skillet unlike that dry spongy patty subways calls chicken. Anywho, Super Subs Etc did not dissapoint and I will be sure to recommend to everyone I know.

Absolutely love this quaint spot for a quick bite. The subs are delicious, and you get a lot for what you pay for. I am usually a fan of quiznos, but the variety that Subs, Etc offers wins, hands down. The fact that its a "ma and pop shop" makes it that much better. You know you are getting good food, good service, and no middle man! Yes, the parking is a bit of an issue. But there is another parking lot on the back side of the building (not the alley because you will get towed if you park there!). Its worth finding a parking spot for this food!

Been eating around searching for a great cheese steak sub. I used to work in a sandwich shop many moons ago. We did everything fresh so my standards are pretty high. Onto the review. This is the sandwich shop that is my go to spot. The people are friendly, ingredients are fresh, bread is soft and fresh and there is a good amount of meat on the sub. Price is on par with other places but the quality of the sandwich surpasses them all.

I avoided this place for a long time. I don't know why. Maybe I felt that I had to be loyal to my high school years sub shop. I don't know, but I finally gave this place a try the other day and I've been back 3 or 4 times in the span of a month. My favorite sub to order at sub shops like these is the chicken honey mustard with mushroom and onions. After a hassle-free ordering and pick-up system they have, I sat down and opened the sucker up. This thing was letting off smoke like it was no one's business. I took a bite and was instantly a fan. It doesn't get any better than this place for subs in Miami. Next time I went I tried a cheeseburger sub. I put the works on it. Pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard. For my taste, the patty could be seasoned better, and they need to ease up on the ketchup and mustard. My sub was dripping with the stuff. I got a side of seasoned fries to go with the burger, and they did not disappoint. They have daily specials here, and the foot-long subs are huge. You can easily share one with two people and be stuffed. You get your money's worth here, that's for sure. The only thing holding this place back from a 5-star review is the seating situation. Sometimes you won't be able to find a seat, especially if some customers are just chatting up a storm after downing a sub. The parking can sometimes be a mission, too. Luckily, I live close by, so I foresee myself getting the subs and taking them home. They come off the grill so hot, that by the time I get home, they'll probably still be warm and delicious.

The BF's been raving about this place for a hot minute so we came here a few weekends ago for lunch. I ordered the chicken honey mustard sub with mushrooms. It was okay. Nothing that I would come running back for. I do like that they offer combos (which not a lot of other sub places do), and it was extremely well-priced. The seating situation is not that great. It's only counter seating and there's only about seven stools available, so pray that it's not packed when you go (that is, if you're actually planning to eat there). Maybe I'd go back and try something different, but only if I was in the area.

Awesome subs. Finally found a real "sub shop" in the area. Steak or chicken subs are amazing. They also have great specials. A must try for classic sub lovers.

This isn't a gourmet food stop, or a restaurant. It's a sub-shop, plain and simple. It's also the BEST sub shop EVER! With menu's similar to other small sub shops in the Miami area like Substantial and Subrageous, except in a class above them. More expensive, but better bread, better ingredients, more meat and prepared with LOVE.. 90% of the time the owner is the guy manning the grill, and he cooks with a consistency and skill that's unrivaled. He takes exceptional pride in his store and his repeating customer base shows it. I've been eating here pretty religiously since I was a child, I remember coming here in the 80's and being wow'd by the food. Remembering something tasting good when you where 8 years old speaks to the subs here. The prices are a tad high compared to other places, but you really do get alot of food for the money. My favorite sub chicken and cheese must weigh like 3lbs and can be hard to finish. Coming here at lunch time is crazy, the place is small and gets packed, so call in your order 5-10 minutes prior to arrival and it will be waiting for you. Eat it in your cap. Oh so good.. Best things IMO: Chicken Cordon Bleu Chicken & Cheese Hot Turkey Cheeseburger Sub Ok, so maybe those aren't the best things, but that;s what I order almost all the time. I rarely branch out which is weird for me, but what can I say. I crave that stuff..

My boss buys us subs from this place all the time. I've never been to the actual location but I know its family owned. Their subs are so good. We all love them. I usually get the turkey and provolone which is so yummy. My co- worker gets the cordon blue sub which they love. We love this place and usually get subs from here at-least once a week.

Best subs I have found so far in So Flo. This is the first place I have been to where they chop tomatoes for the sandwiches. I like it even though it is a bit messier to eat. Small operation but busy, friendly and passionate. I have always had a good experience here. I usually go for a roast beef or cheesesteak. I have a lot of sun shops around me but always travel the extra distance when only a good sub will do.

Went for my first time yesterday with a group of friends and were all beyond satisfied. Tacked on to the edge of a strip center, this place Doesn't look like much from the outside. But with the great friendly staff, good service, and one of the best subs I've ever had in Miami I Will definitely be frequenting this place again. I recommend the steak and onions with provolone cheese.

Small sub place, GREAT FOOD!!! :) It's great to order ahead and pick up since there is a limited seating area (6 seats the most maybe). Fair warning, It's always packed for lunch so go before or after the lunch time rush. Steak bomb... is THE BOMB! A great family owned place that has subs packed with greatness.

After rooting around for an inexpensive, but better-than-fast-food lunch option in the South Miami area of Red Rd and Bird Rd, my wife and I finally decided to drop in on this unassuming little sub shop in order to try out one of their marquee sandwiches and see if the subs they serve actually live up to their 'Super' billing. We arrived plenty early-- clearly before the lunch rush, as we were the only ones in the establishment at the time. This meant that neither parking nor seating were issues for us in the slightest, though I could certainly see how such things might be more problematic for patrons at peak hours; by the time we left (at around 11:30 or so), the place was already beginning to fill up good and well. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, overall. An employee greeted us with a smile and a warm hello straight away, recommended us the specials for the day, but still gave us plenty of time to peruse the menu on our own, never hovering over us impatiently like the staff at so many other smaller joints often do. We decided on the classic Philly Cheesesteak sub, opting to split the 'large' evenly between us, which turned out to be a good decision since a 6" was plenty for both of us when coupled with a side order of seasoned fries and a bag of chips. They were even nice enough to make the two halves slightly different in their dressings for us, since I like grilled onions to go with my cheese and steak, while she prefers lettuce and tomato-- hold the onions. Our order was done quite quickly (again, we entered early enough to be the first and only order up) and we wasted no time in devouring the sub in its entirety shortly thereafter. The cheesesteak was very good, the ingredients were fresh and it was cooked well. we both enjoyed the sub. [Finish later!]

Simply put, this is a hole in the wall that is very clean and makes delicious subs. I was driving by on my way to a meeting and happened to see this place. I decided to have a quick sandwich before and so stopped in. The parking lot is a bit tight and if you miss the entrance you have to go all the way so try not to miss it. I'll admit I was skeptical when I walked in because I only saw two employees who both looked very young (like high school kids) operating the grill. I tried the chicken sub and was blown away. Delicious and extremely fresh. The tomatoes tasted like they had picked them that morning. The sandwich was well made, well cooked and overall a great choice. Its better to get the large, which is the twice the size of the small for only one dollar extra.

  • Kimmy P.

These subs are AWESOME. They're also decent sized, you can feed yourself for two meals on one of their full sized subs. The place is small so you might not find seating but my friend and I just blasted some music in our car an enjoyed our subs that way. Great place, their seasoned fries are also pretty tasty, they come with a generous amount of cheese, unlike most places that only give you a skimpy amount for an extra charge.

Great sub shop! I was introduced to this place by a friend at work-he's been living in Miami all his life, and said it was the best, that he'd been coming here for years. I first tried the Chicken Supreme, and have branched out to a few of the others-they're all great. The staff is nice, and they make the subs right there in front of you. All fresh ingredients. I was there yesterday, and got the Chicken Bomb-it was awesome! Highly recommended-call in your order to save the waiting time, and sometimes it's tough to get a seat, but well worth the wait

this place is AWESOME!!!! they really do have the best subs ever.. both hot and cold are soo delicious and they literally have a sub for every taste.. the staff is really friendly and they prepare your subs right in front of you. so you know its clean and hygenic... one of my fave parts about this palce.. there is nothing to be grossed out about! the cheeseburger sub is pure bliss but the chicken philly and cold ham and cheese are just as good too!! the subs are HUGE,, so half is all you need, unless you are sharing.. they also make really good french fries or you can opt for chips,,, they have quite a variery.. they usually have some type of dessert too, cookies, brownies, etc.. the place is tiny, i highly recommend take out, as there are only about 6 stools in there.. its cash only, but they do have an atm inside just in case.. and dan is right, you need super human strangth to open the door!! give it a shot... you will love it, i promise!!

The best subs in Miami hands down. Something I can't understand is why they haven't make the place a little bit bigger. Sometimes it is impossible to get a seat. Anyway, the subs are just fabulous, especially the hot ones. It is clear that all ingredients are fresh and really, after tasting these pieces of art you'll never want to have a Subway or Quiznos again. The service is impecable, probably because it's a family owned business.

Extensive menu, featuring all types of classic subs and signature creations. The subs that are steak, chicken or pork related are cooked when ordered, unlike other places which nuke precooked meats. Any of their sandwiches that have the word "bomb" within their names are very messy and one should expect to finish it with a fork. The fries are wedges and seasoned taste amazing. They have Dr. Brown's cream soda in can and cherry coke on fountain. Haven't been here for lunch, but I have heard it gets crowded.

I've only eaten here once. I ordered the cheese steak sub, and although they gave me a good amount of meat and toppings I found the meat to be very bland. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again which is a shame because it's very close to my office.

  • Sarah S.

Quite possibly the best sub in the area. I've been coming here for a while now, and everytime the subs are tasty, filling and fresh. I usually call in my order and do pick up (instead of ordering it there and waiting). Try the Chicken Bomb - chicken breast, onions, mushrooms, green peppers all smothered in a tangy BBQ sauce.(added bonus, drink is included with this one) Parking can be a pain, but most people don't know that at the other end of the strip mall there is plenty more parking. They now accept credit cards.

YOU MUST GO HERE The pork rib sub and chicken parm sub was pretty much my diet from 05 to 08. Place gets pretty busy around lunch but well worth the wait. Subs are big too. Pork rib sub is really something special, get it with sauteed onions. Although, I've never been disappointed with any of their subs.

Super Subs etc. as it is known to everyone but yelp.. I've been coming here since my freshman year at the U. They have the best hot subs in south Florida without a doubt. (Much better than hungry bear) I haven't bothered trying the cold subs because they are naturally inferior. I've enjoyed every sub I've had here, but my favorites are the steak bomb and bbq pork rib bomb.

The food is incredible, clean and top quality. The service is amazing. Even the owner Roseanne is a sweet heart and treats you great. A tip: call in your order cuz it's small and it can get packed! Call in and pick up!

Subs Etc has become my go to sub place on occasions when I'm hankering for a good hoagie. The sandwiches come in small and large sizes, with the latter size being extremely filling. While this place doesn't have gourmet subs, the ingredients are always fresh and the sandwiches are always hot as they prepare your order on the stove in front of you. My favorite subs I've had are the Pastrami, the Cheesesteak, and their Cheeseburger. One of the only problems with Subs Etc is the limited seating and space to order, particularly during lunch hours. Due to the spacial constraints, its usually more convenient to do take out.

This place has the BEST SUBS you will ever have. Period. I've been coming here for lunch for years. Every single person I've brought here has fallen in love with it. They have an unbelievable selection of over 100 subs and you can put any topping you can imagine. They have both hot and cold subs but I recommend the hot and specifically the STEAK BOMB or the CHICKEN CORDON BLEU. Also, Italian meats is very good. They also have breakfast subs. It's the most innovative and reliable sub place you will ever find. I miss it all the time since I moved away from Miami. It's always one of the first places I go to when I return to visit family. It's in a tiny hole in the wall near my childhood comic store: A&M Comics. The man who runs the store is very nice and I didnt have cash on me once and he gave me a sub and told me to pay him some other time. You won't get that kind of trust from anyone else in Miami. In case you're wondering, I DID pay him as soon as possible of course. Great prices and very helpful staff. Pull the door with great force because it gets stuck often. But once you're inside, you're in for the treat of your lifetime. Screw Subway!!

Best subs in Miami! This is a family owned business. I've been coming here for years. I always call ahead and my sub is ready in less than 15 minutes. I always order the same thing, the Honey Mustard Chicken with Bacon. I totally recommend it! They do take a couple vacations during the year so if your here from out of town on a holiday call first! If you are in the mood for a nice sub, this is your place!

I've lived right down the street from this place for over five years and I just decided to stop in sometime last year- lucky me. They serve up some delicious subs. While I'm a vegetarian, and usually order the veggie sub (hot is best) with lots of yummy stuff, my boyfriend eats meat and usually gets different stuff (always loves it!). My parents visited a few weeks ago and I recommended it- they loved it so much they were returning customers. Aside from the delicious subs I love this place because I always get good service and it's not just another chain (although I do like quiznos) restaurant with rude teenagers working there. I think I saw that they put a new sign out front this week which makes them a little more visible (it is obscure) ,so I hope you can find this place and try it whenever you're in the area and lookin for a sub place.

We have been going to this Sub Shop for many many years. After today we will NEVER return. My husband went this morning to get a breakfast sub (eggs, bacon...). I had already had a pastry and coffee and did not want breakfast but I asked him to get me a Reuben sandwich which I could eat later for lunch. He came back with the sandwich and when I opened it I said "This looks like ham, not corned beef". I took a bite and realized that it was a ham (sliced into strips and browned) and onion sandwich with Thousand Island dressing. Lots and lots of onions. Not a bit of sauerkraut to be seen. I do not like ham. My husband returned to the shop with the sandwich which clearly had Reuben written on it. He complained that this was not a Reuben. They threw it in the garbage and said that this was their version of a Reuben. He asked "what sandwich do you want then?" My husband answered "a Reuben". They also said they did not have sauerkraut because "people around here don't like sauerkraut". My husband became angry and told them they should not have Reuben listed on their wall menu as it is not a Reuben. They did not offer to give him his money back. They have lost very loyal customers.

I never knew this place had a name. We always just referred to it as "sub shop." This place is crammed into the corner of a row of offices, but they serve up some of the biggest, sloppiest, greasiest subs around. and they are absolutely delicious. I have experimented with most of the menu, from the cholesterol killer (double meat, double chicken, double cheese, double everything,) the cordon bleu and even a pork sandwich which was a special in my time going there. I love the drink machine, since the selections range from "red drink" to "orange drink" and even "purple drink." But the thing that kept bringing me back to this place is while yes, they have a menu, as long as they have the item in stock, they will make you whatever you want. I loved their steak subs. I also found their chicken Cesar to be equally delicious. And thus, the Steak Cesar Sub was born (yes, i am taking credit for that one.) They are even cooking when the power goes out, but be warned, without the A/C it turns into a meat smelling sauna. Great for your pores.

as my first review i wanted to write about subs etc. when i eat subway i would rather eat my own throw up, quiznos-not too shabby. blimpie, does it even exist anymore? i think that supersubs etc is the best sub place in south miami. to give it the best in miami is still a stretch, not too familiar with up north. the best subs that i have had in 5 1/2 years that i have been here in north cuba. portions are good, the bread is what makes the sub because it is always soft and fresh. i eat the chicken subs- spicy chicken is my fav- the other subs are just as good. for first timers at subs-the hot sandwiches are best.
