Friday night my brother and I went to see Spam All Stars at Bayfront Park, but before getting to the park we thought it'd be nice to grab a sandwich at Subway to have a little picnic. However, we didn't think that the Subway we stopped at was in the middle of downtown - which means that it closes when most businesses close - As we opened the door to the store one of the girls behind the counter (Yamira) tells us that the store is closed... two sad puppy faces later and she's HAPPILY making us a foot-long meatball sub - I am not being sarcastic - seriously, Yamira was in a great mood considering it was well past closing time and she had to go home to get her kids. Still she was so nice to us. Even added extra meatballs to the sub and joked with us as she made it. Considering her time we were quick to order, pay, and get out. We had a meatball sub with the honey bread - DELICIOUS - I would have never expected it. but it was. Give it a try next time you go. And if you come to this Subway, Yamira is awesome and knows how to make one great sub with lots of enthusiasm!!! The store closes early on weekdays, but if you work in the area definitely stop in during lunch :o)

So I walk in and order a Subway Club and the guy tells me he is out of Turkey. I ask if he can give me extra roast beef and he says he can't substitute anything. I just can't order a Subway Club. Really? Maybe they should order more lunch meat to meet demand. Just a thought.

At lunchtime if I am shopping in the area I will stop in to this location to grab a quick bite. My stars for this place have gone from one to five, seriously the service is so deceiving. One day it will be great, the next the worst ever. So yes, living in the area, have stopped in here more times then I can count. Why? Basically out of total convenience. I believe they close at 7 pm now. When I first moved to the area this store did not offer the $5 footlong's and once told me they did not have to. OK, I thought. Ha then the next time I stopped in oh yes they had signs up for their $5 footlong specials. Hmm, sorry the owner of this place was probably trying to get away with not having to do it. One things that drives me nutso crazy is when someone calls me "mami" are you kidding! I am not your "mami" and I know it is a culture thing but save it for friends or relatives, not a customer you do not even know. Certain dialect phrases or words should never be spoken to the public. The sandwiches are decent here, what is expected from a Subway. The bread is fresh and it hit's the spot when your hungry.

Service was ok.. I ordered a pizza and it was disgusting! Inside of it was cold and cheese was not melted! My friend had a sub and it was good... Avoid the pizza take a sub instead !!

Prices at this location have gone up recently. Food is fresh, and if you're lucky, the person that is putting the condiments will be generous with the lettuce, tomatoes and other accoutrements, otherwise, you won't get much. One of the cashiers is a bit sexist...she will offer all the men free cookies, but not the women. Either offer everyone a cookie, offer the men a cookie in a discreet manner, or don't offer anyone a cookie, but don't be rude. Place can get crowded during lunch time so try going after the lunch rush or before.

HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! Service! I just called to find out how far in advance I need to order from the catering menu. The lady that picked up the phone didn't know how to answer, the Manager is nowhere to be found, the person on the phone was along in the store and brand new, and she didn't know how to contact the Manager. I then called again moments later, and no one answered. I guess this location has millions of dollars in order to reject sales opportunities!!
