Love this place. Don't expect deli style sandwiches. The griddle is king. The fountain drink was a little off on flavor but it didn't matter. Sub made up for the deficiencies. Plus if you are REALLY interested in upping your cholesterol, they have fries too.

Best subs in the planet! I always order the steak sub and it's amazing. The portions are more than fulfilling. They have seasoned fries out of the fryer. The sub technicians are friendly and the signs on the walls are hilarious.

I usually go there in the morning right before work, if I have time. As soon as I parkmy car, they already know what I want a "colada" and a "tostada", they say when I walk in...lol They're fast, cheap,and very friendly! I would also recommend their Honey Mustard Sub also :)

Unimpressed. 4 young and immature employees behind counter, 3 of whom were too busy watching a youtube video on a phone in front of the grill. The blond cash register employee was rather unpleasant and rude. He couldnt be bothered to assist you. They charge $1 for debt / credit card transactions. On a $6-7; sub. Yup. This is highway robbery! The cheeseburger sub reminded me of Eddie Murphys mamaburger skit. Alot of bread left over. The bathroom was dirty. The fries were thick, flavorless and soggy. You can't mess up a sub yet they managed to. Awful experience overall. Their "take it or leave attitude" left me waning. Ill leave it. Please read the hidden reviews.

Im going to give them a 2 because it doesnt matter to me how the wrap tastes if you claim to be a place that does specialty subs it should be just that. Don't tell me you cant take the knife and dice the tomatoes smaller..

They have the best steak sub in Miami. I love getting a cheese steak with a large soda and chips then just sit outside at the table and watch the traffic go by. My wife likes the Italian sub. I recommend this place if your looking for a good sub fast.

I would have to say, this place is the best sub sandwich place in town ! I've been here a couple of times & all I can say is wow. Service is great, my Philly cheesesteak was fantastic , my GF steak bomb sandwich was very tasty, and the fries are a must ... Also don't leave without trying there little chocalate chip cookies , I love them !

I absolutely love this place. Whats not to love. Great food, great staff, and the Philly cheesesteaks really are the best outside of Philly? The prices are great, and the atmosphere is just great. At first when you walk in it feels like a teenage pizzeria (a bunch of young workers). You would think its very unprofessional with the "fun" atmosphere there. It isnt. The staff always gets your order right and out quickly. Fantastic service and food. A+++

I live around the area and this place is just awesome . Their like a little hidden sub spot but have been around since I was growing up . The prices aren't high at all besides the fact your getting fresh meat! Friendly workers as well I love the and suggest chicken or steak bomb . Looking for something light the chicken Cesar is awesome as well ! The burgers are very different here as well they can put it on a old fashion bun or a sub bread . The one thing I enjoy though is the mini cookies they go great with milk and a spoon !!

Gringo your the man! Been coming here on and off for years and had a buddy who worked there as well years ago and can tell you the owner runs this place like a well oiled machine. Fast service, staff polite and witty and subs plentiful and satisfying. Plus the owner is a car guy so how can you go wrong. Good place to eat and shoot the shit with the owner.

Fast, cheap, and out of control... in a good way. Local cops and linesmen all pile in for good grub made quickly on the grill right in front of you. Not fine dining, but it gets the job done very well. I had the "Fish and Grits" special. It came with two eggs and was almost too much food. I may not have to eat again until a Trig Palin Administration.

Portions used to be better but seem to have been reduced. Also they charge extra for cheese, which should be considered standard on must subs (especially the meatball). But they don't tell you up front cheese costs extra until you get to the register. Pretty decent food and friendly service is a plus. If you have a business meeting following your visit there, make sure you have Febreeze in the car, as your clothes will smell horrible from being inside the restaurant. Overall I'd give it 2.5 stars.

It's really nice when you can walk in a place and they remember your name and what you like on your sandwich. I've been coming here since the day it opened and I dont ever plan on stopping. substantial is one of the best places in south florida to get an awesome sandwich. I recommend the chicken cordon bleu.

I had a chance to try their Chicken Bomb sub, which I must say was scrumptious! But, this is not a very special sub place. It's your typical neighborhood run of the mill sub place. What? You have one? It's a Subway? No no no... you don't understand the difference. I'll admit that Subway toasts their bread, but I'm sure you're well aware that they microwave pieces of chicken or beef. Lord knows what they do with their pork! Anyways, none of that in this place. They'll actually do some real cooking! I think that's enough to make a difference in flavor. I will admit also that this place doesn't take the bread out of the oven piping hot, but when I ate my sub, I couldn't find any reason to complain about the bread. But leave it alone for a while, it's sure to get soggy as the staff really pack up on the ingredients! If Subway gets three stars, this place gets four.
