Found the perfect place to soak up all the alcohol from NYE festivities at the Stadium Diner. It's another restaurant that's been around for ages that I kept wanting to try but always drove past. I stopped... err... stumbled in with a serious hangover and a craving for a good, hearty, breakfast. I was greeted with a smile from the hostess and she directed me to the counter since I wanted to order my food to-go. The woman who took my order, was very attentive and kind. But one minor pet peeve of mine is servers who stand over me while I browse the menu. Sometimes I need a good 5-10 minutes to figure out exactly what I want, and I feel rushed when the server stands there staring at me with the pen and pad ready. Besides that, I couldn't have been more satisfied with my first experience there. I ordered pancakes (not as good as IHOP but still good), corned beef hash, grits, scrambled eggs and toast. All very good, and NOT because I was hungover, either!

I had the Hot and Spicy Breakfast, with an excellent Garcia Beef Sausage, two scrambled, hash browns and whole wheat toast. A stick-to-your-ribs breakfast. $7.49 -- plus another $2-plus for the coffee. Close to $10 -- you can get as good or better a breakfast in Little Havana for less, but this worked for me. Service a little slow -- had to look around for a waitress to refill my coffee.

Went back after a while since we live not far from this place. Still great food, service and value, sorry that it seems they don't serve dinner.

A down home diner ice tea is always perfect. Super friendly service. Everything I've had here is good. Gyro, grits and sausage, perfect fries, burgers. Now I'm thinking of coming back for dinner..

A place where you can have a real home cooked meal. In a real where there's fast food joints within blocks from each other, this feels like home. Staff very friendly and down to earth but most importantly, real. This is a landmark that's been around for 50 years like Jumbos. Everybody from Larry Csonka to Louis Oliver, Jerome Bettis, and other luminaries. When your in South Florida, come here.

Driving around the Miami area, looking for breakfast, Yelp helped me out. This is your typical greasy spoon, with some patrons attending on the regular for years. It was nice to visit an old place like the Stadium. The service came with a smile and the food was unexceptional but solid.

There are a lot of places that you should be aware. Food - 4 star Service - 4 star Place - 3.5 star This has great food and service. Went here yesterday and they didn't made us disappointed. The food was well prepared, they also had new unique table setting that would blew you away. The dining room was also well cleaned and I love this kind of please. Will surely come back again with friends.

I was in the mood for breakfast and I decided to check out Stadium Diner. The food was pretty good. I had 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 sausages, and 2 pancakes. The pancakes were good but they could have been a little lighter for me. The eggs, bacon and sausage were great. The staff was very friendly. The only con that I have is that the menus felt very sticky. Aside from that, everything else at the restaurant was ok.

This place is an old school diner. It feels old school and the menu is old school. Hell, the specials are hand written on paper with pen. This is standard diner food (burgers, sandwiches, etc). There is also some Greek food and some Italian food on the menu. I ultimately had the Caribbean chicken breast sandwich with the potato salad on the side. The sandwich, while simple, was tasty and properly prepared. The potato salad was great and I would strongly encourage you to get it if you come here. It was tangy and nicely textured. Just a nice side. Service was great and prices were cheap. A nice little place to grab a breakfast or lunch.

The is the place to go for the diner breakfast experience. If you like a traditional breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns etc, then you will be happy here. There is lots of memorabilia on the walls, and lots of booth seating. The place is bright with windows that let the natural light inside, which I am a big fan of. I have noticed that these kind of places are slowly dying in the area which is a real shame. We do love our traditional breakfast spots, but I do suggest you don't order what I did, and get the Eggs Benedict. That was disappointing, but I wasn't really expecting them to surprise me here. It's a diner, and I have yet to have a diner do Eggs Benedict right. I am guessing canned Hollandaise sauce here, but I was just not in the mood for eggs and bacon that day, so I gave it a shot. The servers were on top of their game with the coffee refills and knowing which items were available and which weren't. The food was ready fast and everyone was happy with the food (of course except me), which gave us time to eat and catch up on our gossip and football picks. I noticed that they have a take-out area, and thought that would be cool to grab some grub before heading over the the Stadium . They seem to have a good handle on the traditional favorites, so we will keep this place in mind for those days also.

Overall great experience, came in for breakfast and you can tell that they have a host of "regulars" around. Great old school diner atmosphere with good service and delicious food. Ordered 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, with Georgia sausage. The food came out quickly (only made it through 4 pages of my book by the time the food got here) and it was great. Will definitely stop by when I'm in the mood for a hearty breakfast!

When i go to a diner for breakfast the pass/fail grade with me usually comes with the quality of the home fries/potatoes. Stadium diner made the grade ,Even though it feels like you stepped into a time machine and landed in 1980's Dolphin-mania Miami its a place I would go again even though it is Really out of the way (and all of the UM logos kind of repulse me...sorry not a fan of the U). The portions are really large so you will be satisfied and the service level is great.Plus the cookies that are out on the counter smell great and almost tempted me to buy a few.

A total divey kip from the outside, a real surprise on the inside. Just like me :) Making ourselves avail of some free time as a family over the holidays was our goal this year for 2009 into 2010. More than anything, breakfast is what pulls us together as a family. Yeah some love the whole relaxed dinner thing, but not us. We have discovered that once we get up and dressed and OUT THERE, more than likely we won't go home until later in the afternoon. Living in the North Miami area for the past 12 years I can't even count the number of times I've passed Stadium Diner and wondered "is it open?" " is it a biker joint?" and more importantly "is the food any way good". Inside the place is very sports oriented as it should be being located so close to Joe Robbie...oh I mean Dolphin...oh shoot, is it Landshark Stadium? Well, the morning we went we got good solid diner food. The service was lacking though. We sat for a good 15 minutes waiting for someone to take our order but thankfully the crys of "I'm HONGRY now mom" were dispelled by the tableside jukebox that kept the boys occupied, and it gave us a chance to have a good look at the very extensive menu. I love how they have the Greek staples available here. Everyone ate plenty and the check was reasonable. The waitress was super friendly and very attentive. The owner was present and overseeing everything and the place was really busy with locals (waitresses calling them by name, shooting the breeze and generally being like family)...always a good sign Bathrooms were clean and stocked, parking is plentiful. Don't let appearances deceive.

It's diner food, but heavily Greek influenced. The owners are Greek, and there is a lot of Greek stuff on the menu. The food is just what 3 stars says... okay. But it's a place where everybody knows your name (you know you just sang that part). It's quick and decent and tradition.

It's one of those places that have been around forever and a day. They know their customers, and remember what you order. You always get a smile as you enter or leave. So why the 3 stars? The food is just okay, nice selection; and they have Greek food which I always love, but it's all just okay. The other reason for the 3 instead of 4 stars is the price is a little high for the quality of the food. It is a good place to go if you are in a hurry, and just want something fast and easy that isn't actually fast food.

Not open for dinner. Been there a long time and is close to the Miami Dolphins football stadium. Open 7 days. Looks like business has slowed so today I got a new menu with higher prices. Eggs, sausage, home fries and toast for $7.49 not including beverage. Have a good lunch menu including Greek dishes. I would not call this place a diner. The layout is more a sports restaurant with lots of memorabilia around.
