The worst service ever. Its a restaurant with cafeteria service. They practically pushed us out the door. They wanted us to order everything at once to hurry us out the door. Will never go again.

I'm Peruvian , with that being said this is the best Peruvian restaurant in Miami. It's a bit pricey but worth it !!!! Always in the mood for this place

This place was delicious! I ordered tacu tacu with grilled fish. I loved how the fish came out, not so overly cooked. Definitely a place to try out.

As always this place has a creepy vibe going on. The chicharron de pescado (little fried fish bites) is consistent and has that nice flaky texture contained in crispy well seasoned breading which is why I've continued ordering it time and time again. This is the only thing I'd get here if I ever go back because this last visit was ehhh... Truth is, this place isn't that great but it is convenient if you're around the area and don't want gross Cuban cafeteria type food or something Central American. The Whole fried snapper with garlic sauce (pargo entero al ajillo) was a disaster. The fish was a little on the overcooked side and I'm probably going to sound annoying but it actually had too much sauce. It was everywhere and it looked dense. It also had this strange grayish beige color... When asking for anything "al ajillo", I expect the main ingredients to be fresh garlic and butter and/or olive oil and parsley... that sauce was excessively salty, tasted like it had margarine or some other questionable shortening in it and worse of all it had this thick consistency not too different than a roux... It usually comes with white rice and Papa Dorada (thick potato wedges). I wasn't feeling the extra starch and instead opted for a side salad which was just a strange mix of iceberg lettuce with oil seasoned with oregano and that's when we decided that was enough Salmon Salmon. I will say that it was a huge fish meant for 3 people but we simply didn't care to take it home. We didn't even eat a quarter of it. Service here is always on the whatever side as well so I'm thinking it's going to be a while till I decide to revisit the idea of going there again. We need some space, it's not working out. Thanks for adding gratuity to a table for 2...I could make a joke about that and the location of the restaurant but I'd rather let your imagination soar.

I have never come across with such a horrible staff , they are mean , have no manners . they took a our order with half of the restaurant empty , not busy at all, after waiting for an hour we decided to give up and leave . the waitress keep arguing that she was right ! DO TOT GO TO THIS PLACE . remember you are paying you can do better

The place is small and cozy, almost hard to walk in, but the food is darn delicious!!! The ambience is calm and home feeling. You start off with baked bread, and a special typr of hot sauce (its delicous if you like spicyness like me) The taku taku with lomo saltado is a dish you must try!!! The rice comes compacted tight (it's a lot of rice) and the steak comes fresh cooked with onions. The fish and salads are to die for. Salads come with a lot of lime juice and onions. It's a little pricey, don't come of you're broke! 10-25$ dollar per person at minimum.

Just unbelievable Since the begining the service was horrible. The waitress got to us with a really bad attitude. And then 10 minutes later we asked for the bread to another waitress and the answer we had was "it is in the oven, or you want cold bread??" All that with a bad bad attitude. I've never had this kind of experience. And when they served the food it was as bad as the service, i think that if they have the chance they would throw the food from the kitchen to the table with a bazooka. Simply horrible. If i could rate this place with 4 star minus i would do it. NOT RECOMENDED. Ceviche: horrible. Jalea: horrible. Tallarin saltado: good.

This should be called Secret Secret. Someone told about this place a long time ago and I finally went. Yes it is located in a sketchy shopping strip mall but it's worth it. The pricing reflect its location not the quality of the food. We had Angela as out waitress. I mention this because it truly made all the difference. She walked us through the menu and everything she said and suggested was on point. I will be going back and only be served by her. We started with a scallop and cheese served in a sea shell. Holy you know what. It was amazing. Then we went to a ceviche served on avocado that was equally outstanding. We had Corvina both fried and seared. While both tasted as good as any I've ever had the fried one was the best all time. Even the flan and tres leche were melt in your mouth. The cortadito (cappuccino style coffee) was great. It's obvious I had a great experience even though at first I was worried. Don't be this is a hidden gem that won't brake the bank.

Delicious!! My favorite was the crab-stuffed avocado appetizer. The entrees are a generous size portion. I ordered the grilled grouper with rice and beans. They get four stars for being a bit overpriced and not very personalized service. The entire restaurant has about 40 seats total so I understand they want to turn tables fast. Just make sure you're coming for a good meal and don't expect fantastic service. I will definitely be returning for more!

Food was delicious and good price to quality! We had ceviche, arroz chaufa, filet and a whole fried fish. Arroz chaufa and the whole fried fish flavor were very good. Service was great, however be careful when you pay as the check hasd the price for the meal and when they charged our card they included 15% tip and left the TIP line blank. Although the waitress earned the tip, it is not correct to try to "cheat". #tlacuani

For Peruvian food this is the restaurant to go to. Small place in a not so appealing shopping center but the best Peruvian food in Miami.

The food is amazing! A bit pricey, but we'll worth it (food wise)! If you like your dining experience, to be an experience then do not done here! The food may be worth it but the waitresses will leave a bad taste in your mouth! They have been there for years I believe one of the sisters owns the place. In other words, they are not going anywhere! With that said, if you can get past the "we are doing you a favor by serving you mentality" then it is hands down my favorite ceviche place in Miami!

The attention received this establishment was mediocre at best, One thing I did notice about this self-proclaimed Peruvian restaurant is that less than half of its dishes were anything other than Peruvian. Thankfully it's food was edible and our order came out fairly quick with an $80 price tag for three plates I'm not sure if I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the near future.

Terrible service! At the time I asked for the check, I had to request a price adjustment. I though Ft they were billing me too much so when I asked to see the menu to compare to the check, they refused. Finally the waitress sighed and was like "okay, I'll discount you". Mind you the difference was only like 5 dollars, but it is the principle that they were overcharging that bothered me. Who knows how many more customers they may have done that do. No thank you for coming, no welcome greeting, no "come back again" Worst Huancaina sauce I've ever had. It tasted think and "powedery/sandy". The cheese they used was too strong and bitter. It had a really bitter flavor. Chicha Morada from powder. It was obvious. So watery. The rice I ordered was dry. Never again.

If you've read my reviews you know that for me service is the key component to getting a good review. Anyone can cook a great tasting meal but very few can serve you well. Well here I found that both were lacking. This was a 6pm weekday visit. No other customers were in the restaurant. One other couple walked in after we were served. The restaurant is quaintly decorated in deep hues of cobalt blue. Very nice aesthetic atmosphere for such a small place - seats about 30 total people, mostly comprised of 2 and 4 tops.. At first I thought the meal was great. I had the fish broth and the stuffed avocado. Yes, they tasted great. I was dipping my bread in the soup and truly enjoyed it. But all too soon I realized my tiny bread buns eaten, (3 TINY buns shared by two that's 1.5 each-- tiny= maybe 2 inches long and 1 inch thick), were gone. You have to remember we are eating fish in sauce and soup. We are dippers, what can I say. I asked the waitress for more and honest of goodness, I felt a flash back from the old movie Oliver, I thought she was going to pour tar over me, fling bags of feathers over me and send me off into oblivion. She said, "More bread??!?!!", twirled her eyes in their socket and reluctantly said," I'll bring them in a minute". At point I figured I wouldn't dare ask for more butter (minuscule cups- never seen the that small) Naively believing her statement, I held off from finishing my broth and watched the steam from the broth vaporize into an icy liquid massacre. I decided to give up on the bread and just finish it off with the citrus tablespoon (a pointed tablespoon used to eat fruit - not soup) and struggled as half spilled back in the bowl or on the table. To compensate for the loss of bread and a hot broth (and proper spoon), I put some of that delicious green hot sauce in my broth. To my dismay, I found a french fry poking out of the small dipping pot. YUK!!! Recycled sauce. Too late, whatever germs were hidden in the green liquid were already in my belly. TIP for foodies, dump the remaining sauce out of any small sauce pot in order to ensure the next person doesn't have to eat your leftovers. If everyone did this, we could end the recycling of sauces. Whatever I could say about the stuffed avocado is no longer pertinent. Even if it was the best thing I had ever eaten, after seeing that fry in the sauce that comment would be mute. But I will let you know the only reason they got 2 stars was for the food (subtracting the fry in the sauce incident of course). There were two ladies providing service; the Bread Czar and another very nice Asian looking lady. As a matter of fact, the Asian lady had to remind the Bread Czar to bring over the bread she had promised long ago when my broth was still hot. My advise to you is don't go to this place, but if you do go, avoid the Bread Czar and the dipping sauces. Also, beware, they automatically add 15% tip to the bill on a party of TWO or more.

I was not impressed at all. Ceviche tasted more salty than lemony and the Menu did not feature many Peruvian delicacies that I am used to ordering. Inside, they have this Portable AC Machine which is awfully loud not to mention the leak at the front door which dripped on me as I walked in for the first time. I like small quaint restaurants and I am not dissing this one because of it, but they need better managerial skills if they expect to survive. They did however decorate it nicely for the square footage they are working with. The menu was not impressive, portions are alright, service was great. Overpriced was not the word..more like OVERPRICED. If the ambience was worth it, then sure but the place was falling apart..no need to charge an arm and a leg for an appetizer.
