I had seen the sign for Rosa Vitos for a long time. I just assumed it was a sit down restaurant like many of the places on Brickell. Since I work right at Mary Brickell Village, I am always looking for new affordable places to eat. I love me some Chicken Kitchen and Baja Fresh, but after 2 1/2 years of the same thing over and over I welcome all new comers. I walked over here for lunch last week after hearing good things about their rotisserie chicken. I didn't know what to expect because of few reviews here on Yelp. I was happy with my choice. The food: They have a small menu. They have the chicken, pizza by the slice, two kinds of croquetes and a couple other options. I had a quarter dark with two sides and a roll for $7 and some change. But then I threw in a chicken croquete. It was pretty good. The chicken was great! They had a whole mess of chickens spinning over an open fire. The aroma of the chicken hits you when you walk through door. The service: The gentleman behind the counter was very polite. He welcomed me in and was quite pleasant. I have to go back soon for their pizza by the slice. The pieces were fairly large and ranged between $2.75 and $4.00. They looked pretty delicious. Standby for an update. Yes

Alas, they cannot agree on a name... their reciept says Rosa Vito, so does their business card, but they answer the phone as Grano Bakery... Either way as I am biting into my not-so-guiltful whole-grain croissant I felt compelled to use their free WiFi to update this review. I came back to Rosa Vito to, once again, avoid rush hour back home, and I couldn't be happier. I have been starving all afternoon because I forgot my lunch at home so as soon as I got out of work I decided to treat myself. I came in and asked for a croissant, "we only have whole grain" they told me. I gave the cashier a confused look and she assured me it was good. I nodded and since I was hungry I asked her if she could make it a ham and cheese croissant. She kindly said yes and for about $2 ($3.95 total) they were added. I sat down and sipped on my cappuccino, one of the best in brickell, and began doing my research for grad-school. Soon after, she placed a warm croissant sandwich next to my laptop. I didn't really think anything of it, I just grabbed one half and bit down... INTO HAM AND CHEESE GLORY! Whats so damn special about ham and cheese? I don't know. Could it be that the ham is 6 layers of thinly sliced deliciousness covered by cheese on BOTH sides? Or could it be that the whole grain bread adds just a little sweetness to the sandwhich. In any case, those people walking by me on their way home have no idea what they are missing. SUCKERS!

Stopped in to try a quick breakfast and had two sides -- bacon and potatoes. Only $4, a surprise to find in Brickell, and good food. I'll be back for a fuller meal.

I've only been here once and I wouldn't go back. I had a sandwich (eggplant, tomato and mozzarella cheese on ciabatta bread) that was the most tasteless -- and annoying to eat because of the flour coating on the bread -- I've ever had. There was NO flavor in any of the ingredients, nor the bread. The bread was dry and tasteless, with a ton of flour coating that got everywhere and made it a real pain to eat.

Rosa Vito offers rotisserie chicken as well as pizza by the slice. For less than $20, you get a whole chicken, 2 sides and bread. A bit more expensive than if you would buy the chicken at Publix but much tastier! We have ordered a few times, for pick up as well as delivery, and the chicken has always tasted very fresh and juicy. Pizza is very good as well (but there are better places in the area) if you only want a slice. Staff is very friendly. Owner is there often.

Best egg sandwich I've had in Miami. Even better when you add prosciutto. Also a great spot to sit and read. I'm a law student, and the very friendly staff never hassles me if I hang out and read for a few hours.

The cursing has ceased+ Smiles all around + One side has become two + a piece of olive oil laden focaccia has been added to the mix + the prices have stayed the same = 4 stars

I've only had the rotisserie chicken, so my comments do not apply to the pizza. your experience will depend on what time of day you go. I've gone late evenings when the chicken has been sitting under a light for a while... too dry. (two stars at this time.) I've also gone at lunch as the bird is just coming off the spit: WOW!!! one of the finest pieces of chicken I've had. (I always go for half a bird....) succulent juicy meat and crispy, flavorful skin. (a solid four stars.) I want to find out what time the cook the birds each day and plan my trips there accordingly.... very pleasant staff as well. and the strongest hand drier I've ever experienced in the mens room. (when it is on, you'll know it.) a decent place for those of us living in Brickell who can't afford Oceanaire every night. (well, I could, actually. but chose not to.)

Tucked in between the Smoothie King and Rosinella's on South Miami Avenue you can find this quick and convenient option. It wasn't until I read Zach F.'s review that I learned that this restaurant is owned by the same group that owns Rosinella. If that is true then this little cousin pales in comparison in terms of taste. Everything here is already cooked and served behind a glass-walled counter top. So the pizza slices are on display (including one interesting potato pizza). You pick your slice and it gets tossed into the oven to be re-heated. I had the Pizza Margherita which was basically just a normal cheese slice. Even re-heated, the pizza was tepid and the cheese was this weird waxy congealed thing. The crust didn't do much to redeem the slice. I ate the slice and thought ...hmmm. Not bad, but I'm not going to come here just for the pizza. Way better options in the area. The chicken looked tasty and I was intrigued by the "chicken dinner" concept. The chicken is juicy and tasty, but again, I won't be running back for more any time soon. The dinner option meant I could have a quarter of dark or white meat and a side of broccoli, potatoes, or white beans. Beverages, including beer and mini bottles of wine, are in ice for you to grab along with dessert options of fruit or tiramesu in plastic bowls with lids. It seems like this place hopes to cater to those in need of a quick no-frills meal. They do not plan to offer delivery. But for quick and no-frills I think I'd rather go to Chicken Kitchen, Baja Fresh or Pieducks that are in the same neighborhood.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
