prana is nice. its kinda hard to describe. its like a bookshop/natural product shop with a small vegetarian cafeteria. the food is pretty decent and affordable. 8$ all you can eat. the first time i went i paid 9$ cause it was to go. i had a vegetable soup that was really tasty, rice with vegetables and 'picadillo de tofu' - a little strange, but it was ok. i believe the owners are dominican. i went back today and i had rice with peas, eggplant stew and a salad. their dressing is really good but i feel like the eggplant could have had a little bit more flavor. its good to have a vegetarian option around. unfortunately they dont deliver...

They just won Best Vegeterian Restaurant in the Miami New Times Best of Miami. Well deserved. Food is delicious and very reasonably priced. They have take home portions that are only $3 each. I hope more people check it out. I recommend it highly.

This is my second time here for lunch buffet. Each time the food has been fresh, tasty, and completely different. There is a lot to choose from, but you don't have to choose. It's an all you can eat buffet so you can sample the huge variety. The people who work there are friendly and will explain anything you ask about the dishes. The restaurant is clean and has health related movies playing on a large LCD screen. The price- $9.50 can't be beat for what you are getting!

When I write a review 20 min after leaving a place, its sure has left an impression on me. I wont be going back to this place. The food from the buffet was cold, the place scares me, culture clash anybody? and much worse the employees are missing some iq I had the buffet and did not try the shakes because the menu has recently been changed, meaning the have white paper all over the ingredients and the prices (looks ridiculous) and all the shakes are almost 6bucks. had an arizona iced tea, the half version size and got charged 1.50. asked how much was the bigger version and they told me it was the same price??? what the heck! oh and the parking at lunch is horrible!

I was finally able to visit this restaurant and actually try the food! . To my surprise...it was excellent! I tried the eggplant lasagna and it was delicious!, also had the butternut squash soup and a banana-strawberry juice..all for $9 ! I was sadly informed they are planning to sell this place...but hopefully the new owner will keep it exactly as it is. I think I just became a fan! it's so hard to find a true veggie place, strongly recommend it.

The food was pretty decent (buffet -- $9), the woman behind the counter was extremely warm and smiley, and the seating and serving was hassle-free. good to have a vegetarian spot in this neighborhood.

The food was amazing! I opted for the lunch buffet. Tasty options available. The buffet doesn't have a huge selection but the food is homemade. I wish there were some dessert options as well. FYI for vegans: some reviews are referring to it as a vegan restaurant but it's only vegetarian. I asked about the eggplant lasagna (which is remarkable) and I was told that it has real cheese. The place is pretty small. There is indoor and outdoor seating but I wouldn't recommend going with a larger group since indoor and outdoor combined seats a total of 16-20 people. Worth trying out especially if you enjoy good vegetarian food.

We heard great things about this place, and couldn't wait to try it - not too many vegan/vegetarian options here in Hialeah - husband and I went yesterday to the buffet and were so blown away by it that my husband (who isn't vegetarian) said to me first thing this morning - let's go back today - it was that good! Unfortunately a customer came in so he had to stay behind but I went and got take out and I have to tell you, it is unbelievable. It's NOT vegan (they use real cheese), but everything is soy or eggplant (HOW do they get such great flavors from eggplant? I've never been successful with eggplant) - and the lasagna - if you didn't know it was meatless (we asked the owner), you wouldn't know! It's fantastic. really! Small place, limited tables - try to get there before 12.30..... but well worth it. The food is packed with protein (soy etc.) so whatever you do eat, stays with you longer - we weren't hungry until late in the evening after that - normally we're hungry again a couple of hours after lunch. Unbelievable place, I see us going there at least 3 times a week. For $10.70 per person all you can eat buffet or takeout.... you can't beat it. VEGETARIANS YOU'LL LOVE IT!

Thanks to a vegan friend I found Prana in a very chaotic mall strip in the 36 street. The place, as most vegan/vegetarians places in Miami, its tiny, and can accommodate maybe ten people. Plastic everything, which is not very eco-friendly, but I understand their need to minimize management costs. Those are the bad news... Now let's talk about the food. Its semi Vegan with a Dominican twist. For $10 or so you get an all-you can-eat buffet. Semi vegan because their daily lasagna has cheese. Everything else its vegan. And let me tell you, I ate like Miss Piggy in Vegan Christmas holiday party. The soup, ah, the soup... I had 3 bowls to be precise. Those flavors reminded me that life its good. The Friday I went they had lentils, salad, two types of "pastelón" (a Dominican dish), veggie stew with tofu, quinoa, noodles with veggies, and of course, that sublime soup that I'm missing right now while writing this review. They also had vegan desserts. For $3.50 I had a delicious natilla (enough for two), that I ate later that day. I was too stuff to eat anything else. My recommendation: If you don't mind a humble place with great fresh food, and also its super affordable go to Prana. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing buffet for $10!!! I had the plantain, eggplant lasagna, beet salad and lomo saltado vegetarian style!! Wow. I'm impressed. Everything is homemade and the owners are really nice

Two healthy thumbs up for Prana! You simply cannot beat the $10 all you can eat vegetarian goodness. They always make soup and salad, and the meals usually consist of a Seitan dish, mixed veggie casserole, rice, beans, eggplant stew, and a vegetarian soy beef lasagna. They also make juices and sell dessert (albeit only a slice of cake ). Cons: Small quarters and limited food options (no sandwiches, hand crafted salads, etc). However, given the price and the quality/taste of the food they do have, it is certainly worth your time and money. Your gut (and wallet) will thank you.

AS a vegan, it is really hard to find restaurants that i can run to on my lunch break. I work close to the airport and most places are in Coral Gables or the beach. I found this little gem on YELP. Everyday they have the menu up online of what they have. The best part that i like is that it is Spanish influenced. The day i went they had Mojo Yuca mashed potatoes, soy "Picadillo (ground meat)" protein (seasoned oh so delicious), baked plantains, soups, vegetables, pasta roll up and another lasagna (not vegan, but vegetarian). They also offer fresh squeezed juice of lots of veggies and fruits. The drinks are around $5-8 and the buffet is $10!!!! Yum and cheap. If you don't have time to sit down you can always take it to go for the same price. I will definitely go back again!!

Great little find. It's located in a strip mall and takes a little searching to find. The restaurant is like the other reviewers have said, small inside. Today's offering was two soups, rice, lentils, lasagna, cannoli, veggies, and something else that escapes me. All were excellent. Fresh and tasty. Pay when you're finished. They also have a juice bar.

Hooked! I had eggplant lasagna, bell peppers stuffed with tofu and veggies, some delicious rice with sunflower seeds which was awesome - I put everything on my plate not even knowing what it was and it was all delicious. Oh, the red kidney bean soup - yum! And I loooove the sweet potato custard. I can eat the whole serving by myself. I'm so glad it's close to work!
