Definitely a great find and a great place for quick lunch, afternoon desert or ice cream! I had the Salad Nicoise which was truly excellent! My friend had the special of the day which looked delicious as well. We followed the meal with some gelato which was amazing. Overall, I think the customer service was superb, the ambiance was relaxing and pleasant and the food was exceptional. Great find!

Really good food. It light and simple. I had the beef tartine and my husband has the chicken pillard. Both were very good and l well seasoned. Great service. We will definitely be back

Stopped in real quick to hopefully order some take out. I was helped immediately, and they do takeout :) I ordered the peanut chicken salad. It took just a few minutes for them to whip it up and I was on my way. Fresh, light and very yummy. I don't normally order a cold thai inspired dish, but it was a nice change. The decor was super trendy with a lot of natural light. I was sad to not be eating in, but I'll come back to eat in and try something else. They also have ice cream there! Which I'll definitely be back for.

Killing some Azucar helado @mmm after showing friends around Wynwood is always great. Showed my friends from Mexico around the Wynwood area the other day and we stopped by mmm for som delicious helado and Jamaica (hibiscus) ice tea. Service is always stellar and they have clean bathrooms :) Another plus is they speak Spanish. It's weird that Wynwood is like all non Spanish speakers so strange for miami. This is like my 10th time going to mmmm. I had previously chowed down at zak the baker so I was not too hungry but they have excellent tartines as well. Be back soon.

Decor is nice, food is good, service is ok, music is god awful, and why is it so hot in here? Seriously, turn on your friggin AC. This is Miami, half of your patrons are only here because they want to cool off. Pros: The menu is small, but has a good selection, and the food is decent quality. Azucar ice cream. Cons: It's a million degrees in here. There's thumpy club music at 11am. It's over priced. The older waiter and the owner just seem angry all the time, and kind of stare at you while you're eating, like they don't really want you to be there. Seems like these people could learn a little bit about customer service.

Being French and finding a place that uses Pain Poilane, I was sold. They do nice tartines (open faced sandwiches) with a good amount of toppings. We also tried the chicken paillard (which is NOT breaded as it is written on the menu). Delicious. The portions are good and the ingredients taste fresh. Great sundaes for dessert!

Ouch. So, you see a new place go up in an area you like and you think, "yes, another fun spot." Mmmm (ridiculous to try and say out loud all the time, btw) ends its promising future with its looks. Upon entering, we sat at the bar. And sat. And sat. No one acknowledged us. Then we thought we had to order at the register (there was one employee stooped over it with someone trying to dictate their order to him). So we stood in line. And stood. And stood. At one point a man that appeared to be one of the owners walked past us, said nothing, then walked behind the bar and told the guy working the register to acknowledge us (which he didn't because he was too flustered with the register). I get it, you just opened, but you HAVE to be better if you want people to take you seriously. Put up a sign "Order at register" or "Please have a seat" ... something to let people know what to do. Or at least say, "Hello." We left. Didn't try the food. Didn't even see the menu. (Maybe you should have menus available for people to look if you're going to take forever to help them.) All-in-all, a huge bust for Mmmm.

On its second day of operation, I picked Mmmm for brunch because it looked like a fabulous Vintage Miami diner. I love diner food, and the classic Cuban music was luring me in. But despite its Beverly Hills Hotel "Martinique" wallpaper and counter seating, Mmmm's menu is more French than American. Brunch dishes are tres Francophile: think niçoise salads and tartines, and forget American coffee. This is an espresso place (however Americanos are reasonable, at $2). We tried two tartines: the chicken ($9) and the truffled egg ($12), and though smaller than most American brunch plates (which come with eggs, hash browns, a side of toast, and usually bacon/sausage), they were delicious and sliced so that they were easy to eat. Mmmm is right across the street from Wynwood Walls, and they have plans to stay open later for Saturday night Art Walk, so I have no doubt they will be humming in no time. They are also clever in putting a small ice cream stand near the entrance: I imagine this will be a great draw on summer evenings. What I love: The Decor! Just lovely. And the service was great as well (Javier was our server). What I hope will be improved: I'd like American coffee, and a side of roasted tomatoes or potatoes for the tartine would be nice. And also diversifying the brunch menu beyond tartines for brunch: add another piece of bread and offer sandwiches! I look forward to returning as this place grows!

Cool place in Wynwood, the food is very good from the soup to the dessert, portion was moderate, cosy atmosphere... No five star because when we walked in nobody greed us after 5 min we approached the server and he asked us how I can help you...., and the portion size little bit too small for me.... But again the food is great!!!

$10 lunch special - half sandwich and soup was delicious. Got the special for today's, swapped out the cheese per my request. No problems at all, exceptional service, exemplary decor, and the happy hour seems legit too. Definitely will be back again. Jean is the man also!

I was extremely skeptical of Mmmm. It seemed like just another trendy new spot in the middle of Wynwood, all style and no substance. By the end of my meal, however, I was won over by its idiosyncratic charm and, most importantly, the flavorful tartines. PROS: The attention to detail in this place is immediate. The Martinique Wallpaper is a nice touch that lends a quirky ambience to the spacious, well-lit room. On a side note: it's always greatly appreciated when restaurants are neither loud nor blasting EDM. Also, no TV. The food was above average. The $10 lunch special consists of a half-size portion of tartine and a bowl of soup. It was an admittedly very easy sell. The tartines are about as charming as the wallpaper - French open-faced sandwiches that are served on authentic poilane bread, usually complemented with a meat, cheese, and occasional greens. I ordered the Cuban pork tartine with a bowl of creamy zucchini soup and my girlfriend ordered the crab and avocado tartine with butternut squash soup. Despite the small portion size the tartines were well-cooked, surprisingly rich, and very satisfying. Our server was kind, patient, and plenty helpful. Then again, we weren't expecting "career server" aptitude or dedication to craft; just a friendly face who could adequately explain the menu without bogging us down with minutiae. We didn't wait long for service, and our food arrived promptly. CONS: The only complaints I have about Mmmm are pretty trivial. First off: the name is derisive. On one hand, Mmmm made me think of Stefano, the SNL character who promoted NYC's newest, most excessive (and unfortunately-named) nightlife spots, ostensibly "here today, gone tomorrow" kind of establishments brimming with absurdity. On the other hand, I guess that's a part of Mmmm's oddball appeal. The room temperature is also dangerously hot and humid, a recipe for disaster when a restaurant's most valuable asset is its wallpaper. During the summer months, I can't imagine why the service door leading to the back patio needs to stay open all of the time. Also, like most of Wynwood, Mmmm is closed on Sunday. CONCLUSION: Most of the negative reviews so far seem overly critical or too focused on issues that don't give credit where it's actually due. Do I think this is the pinnacle of fine dining? No. Is it perfect? Definitely not, but I don't think it deserves to be written off either. It's a moderately upscale French sandwich shop with adequate service, above average food, and a charming vibe. Plus, the $10 lunch special is unbeatable for what you receive. "C'est un succès!"

Delicious food. Good options on the menu. I ordered the Cobb salad which definitely hit the spot. Service is slow. If you are in a hurry or don't like waiting I would recommend you choose another place to eat. I love that they carry Azucar ice cream. Definitely order the abuela maria.

After not being served at the restaurant across the street after waiting an hour, I came here. They made me a delicious chicken platter where I praised the chef on his dish. The rest of my family came in and got the ice cream. It was delicious. There is no reason to pay the overpriced, pretentious place across the street when the food here is delicious and has larger portions! Mmmmm, indeed!

I really wanted to like this place more than I did, but for a few reasons I just can't. I don't understand what this place is trying to accomplish. I guess I expected a casual sandwich and salad place, especially considering the decor, location, and menu. But when you look at the prices and the portion sizes it doesn't quite fit. While the portion was enough for me, I wasn't that hungry and I'm not a huge eater. This sandwich/flatbread hybrid ("tartine") was small. As much as he didn't really complain, I know my boyfriend left the place hungry, and that's that he ate a bit of my food. And at $10+ I definitely expected a full meal of sandwich. Unfortunately, these are more like snacks. Also, I would be a little less annoyed if I had some other options to pair it with - maybe some apps? But all mmmm has to offer is a soup or two. So if you want any more solid food, you have to order a second meal. The drinks were also surprisingly expensive. I don't think there were any wines by the glass under $10, which again seems really out of place for a restaurant only serving up salads and sandwiches. The tartine (mine was prosciutto/mozarella) was tasty, but just not worth it. It's a shame because the location is adorable, the service is really friendly, and I love that they serve up Azucars ice cream but again, not a concept I can get behind.

Ate there on the 24th of December but the review is being written today after the worst food poisoning I got from the crab tartin I ate. Cute, neon pink pop art signage-- this is where the fun stops. Inside, you'll find classic Beverley Hills Hotel wall paper. What happened to the fun? I was told there would be fun! I feel like a dick writing this, but our waitress pronounced the Nicoise salad "knee-coys" and asked if i wanted any chicken on it. I pointed out that it already comes with tuna, like ya do. I know I'm being a snot faced Yelper here, but servers should be educated on the menu items, especially classics, and especially with a menu as simple as Mmmm's. My husband's smoked salmon tartine was very tasty, light and fresh. My salad was as I expected, and kinda boring. Sort of my fault for ordering it, but I was going for a healthy indulgence. Too much shaved fennel (I ended with a bowl still full of it, and I ate some.) Good amount of tuna and hard boiled egg. Light dressing, possibly just lemon juice/oil. It filled me up and did not make me feel gross and heavy. The iced tea was labeled on our bill as "Water of the Day" - ok, sure - and was some hibiscus Jamaican tea-like concoction the waitress told me about. She also added that it was very good for digestion and for the weight loss! Maybe because I asked if it was unsweetened? AWK! It was a little bitter, but not undrinkable. I wish they had just regular, refreshing iced tea. For a work day lunch, I could see this place getting some traction, but personally, I require a little more pomp for a Saturday/Sunday lunch than Mmmm could deliver.

I work in the wynwood area and was intrigued by Mmmm's attractive facade. I ended up going for lunch a few weeks ago and have eaten there 6 times since. The food is absolutely delicious! I had the spelt salad and made some changes to it with no problem. Portions are great and food is light and extremely tasty. My friend had the open faced smoked salmon sandwich and absolutely loved it. The service was great... staff is extremely helpful and nice. There's an awesome vibe and I'll definitely keep going back. It's great having a healthy option in wynwood :) Oh, and don't miss out on the azucar ice-cream if you want to indulge. Best ice-cream in town!

Empty place for good reason! This place was empty on a busy Friday afternoon in wynwood. I felt bad and decided we should get an ice cream from them. My husband got a cone and I got a small cup. The price was $17. Outrageous and it wasn't even good ice cream. This place deserves to be empty.
