This is the kind of Cuban bakery that reminds me of the childhood Cuban bakeries in Miami in the 70s. Get the ham pastelitos and the guayaba. The bread is good too.

Hubby and I were looking for a quick Cuban toast breakfast that we can take to go, so we stopped at this bakery. We chose their breakfast special for $4.95 which is a good portion of scrambled eggs with ham, French fries, Cuban toast( pretty big size) and café con leche. I couldn't help to get a freshly squeezed orange juice, haven't had one in a long time. Service was friendly and quick, in and out in 10 minutes. They have a variety of Cuban pastries along with the freshly baked Cuban bread(hot off the oven). Assortment of Latin cakes as well even though I am not a fan of the traditional Latin cakes. All and all a good place to grab breakfast to go.

Some people go on pilgramages to Jerusalem, some to Holy Land in Orlando, I go to Marlin's bakery and make the drive from Homestead! Best Cuban bakery in Kendall!! You know a place is good when they have had the same baker and viejita tending the register for the past 15 years! i have been coming here since middle school... Marlin's Bakery used to be the fuel I needed to get my batteries going before making my way into my first period at Arvida. The pastelitos are always fresh! All of them are great, but my faves are de queso (cheese) and guava y queso (guava and cheese) . I love the tostada's (Cuban toast) from Marlin's since it is always fresh.. I have been to other places where the toasts are prepared and then they heat it up on la plancha (press machine) which is terrible because the butter seeps through the bread making it soggy.... not at Marlin's they freshly put the butter on your bread to ensure the crunchy and freshness of the toast! And the cafe con leche (Cuban coffee with milk) hits the spot every time! Love this bakery!

This bakery has been around at least since the mid 80s when I lived here "back in the day", and the service and quality has remained the same. It's a typical hole in the wall tiny Cuban family bakery, which perhaps adds to its charm! Avoid coming between 7-9am during the week and before noon on the wekeend. That's their "rush hour" LOL! Their natural fruit juices and shakes are yummy, the cafecito never disappoints and you can pick just about any sandwich off the list and be delighted! Of course. It's a bakery. What is there not to love about the pastelitos, empanadas, croquetas and other Latin bakery delights? My personal favorite is the "cangrejitos de chorizo", imagine a mini croissant type pastry filled with chorizo? HEAVENLY combination of the salt and spice (chorizo) with sweet and soft (the doughy croissant like outside) Even after moving away years ago, I still make a stop here on my visits to Miami....If you live in Kendall and haven't been here? What are you waiting for??? GO!!!

This is our favorite bakery in the Kendall area of miami. They have the best pastalitos hands down. The croquettas are so yum. Our favorite pastalitos are: queso, guayaba y queso, and they make this awesome thing called a pizza pastelito. Not even sure what all is in it but it is soooooo amazingly good. They also make great sandwiches and of course coffee here. Try a pressed sandwich on a sweet croissant. Delicious. The ladies who work the counter are as sweet as can be too.

Definitely one of the best bakeries in the Kendall area. Ladies behind the counter are always friendly. Pastelitos and cafe con leche are always excellent. Located in a nice strip mall with other great stores. Prices are very fair. Always some people there, good sign.

The pastelitos are good, fresh and cheap. The staff is always very pleasant. It does however get pretty packed on Saturday morning.

My Cuban coffee break hot spot. Leidy makes it the best and as soon as I walk in the door she starts making it for me, no words need be exchanged. They also have the traditional Cuban bakery fare; cakes, pastelitos, croquetas, sandwiches, deditos, empanadas... I occasionally indulge in the croquetas or a tostada which are good although I am not crazy about their empanadas. On occasion they do make Colombian style empanadas and those I have an insane weakness for. Alright, after writing this I think it's time for my second coffee break.

This is a great little bakery in Kendall to get your Cubano grub on. We were heading to the beach and wanted to get some quick snacks. My husband's grandfather knew of a great little bakery that sells great pastelitos. I love the guava y queso and the meat ones. Sometimes you like something sweet or sometimes salty in a wonderful handpie form. It's one of those Cuban treats that you can't stop eating. Once you start eating a pastelito, it's pretty hard to stop. This place was pretty decent bakery, they had some batidos available - mamey, and others. Cuban sandwiches were already packed and ready to go, but we got our order in very quickly. They quickly filled our request of 40 pastelitos...20 of each...and believe those suckers were gone by the end of the day. We got some Cuban crackers as well, and spent about $30. Not so bad for some tasty treats!
