I recently went to Los Ranchos at the Falls with 7 coworkers to celebrate my 1 year anniversary at work. With the recent offering of their lunch specials starting at $6.99, we seriously ate like kings...and queens. Along the table, we ordered the following lunch specials: (2) pollo encebollado a la plancha, (2) steak ranchero encebollado, carne asada, and the (2) grilled fish of the day, and all are served with either gallo pinto or white rice, sweet plantains AND plantain chips. Yum yum yum! We arrived and left back to work in one hour's time...perfect lunch spot!!

My mom had her wedding rehersal dinner here. The meat is good but i little over priced. Overall though if you are in the falls its better than TGIF

very impressed, i have been going there for years but today (yes they were open on Xmas Day) was by far a huge improvement. Definitely get the presidente baby churasco. this is the only thing i had there other than their tasty rice and beans and plaintains. would go back soon!

I was extrememly dissatisfied with this place. I had recently ate at the one at Bayside and I LOVED it so I invited a friend to the one at the Falls for her birthday- BAD idea! It was a Tuesday night so I was expecting good food and fast service. The white rice was HARDDD, the beans tasted like they were straight out of the can: very watery and no flavor. The waiter wasn't very attentive and whenever we'd ask him a question about the foods he was very short and vague with his answers. He left us the bill and never came back to our table and didnt even acknowledge us as we walked out. On the flip side, my shrimps and tostones were good. The music was good (which is what was keeping me calm)- (merengue, salsa, reggaeton) and it was at a decent volume. The overall ambiance was nice and the servers were friendly. Maybe I caught these people on a bad night but my chances of going back are PRETTY slim.

I have been disappointed the last few times my wife and I have eaten here but last night may be the last time. After being seated, an assistant server came by and dropped some cold bread on our plates. After the waiter took our food and drink order we had to wait about 15 minutes for the assistant to serve us water. I had been trying to wave him or any other server over but no one was looking our way. Finally our drinks showed up about 5 minutes after the water. Our food showed up another 15-20 minutes later. My wife's steak was good. I had ordered the filets Monaco, two 5 oz. tenderloin medallions. I began to try one and cutting through it was a chore with the steak knife. As I chewed it, it was like chewing rubber. Horrible piece of meat. I called the waiter over and explained, and to his credit, he apologized and asked what I would like in it's place. I ordered the same steak my wife was having and was able to enjoy that when it arrived. So, the service needs to improve and as a place that specializes in meat, they need to improve the quality of meat they purchase. Not sure if we'll give them another try in the future, but it won't be soon.

I came here with my mom and my daughter. I ordered churrasco with Moro. the steak was juicy and flavorful, and the moro was soft and delicious. I also had a nice glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a good meal.

I have been craving a churasco in FOREVER and so happy to finally go back to Miami and get it! We had a party of 16 and were seated right away. Drink service was quick, my mom and I shared a delicious Sangria carafe. We also shared a Chursaco that came out succulent (if only Los Ranchos shipped to Arizona). We typically don't eat red meat at home, actually I think this was the first time my two year old son had any type of steak, and he devoured it. Had some delicious gallo pinto, madura and tajadas. I was in serious heaven! Actually, Los Ranchos please open up a restaurant in Arizona, flying to Miami is getting expensive. Please :) :) This is definitely a restaurant I will always come back to.

Pretty disappointing! My husband and I went for dinner there tonight. We both ordered the baby churrasco, which was full of fat and very chewy. The plantains were not fresh at all! We ordered tres leches for dessert, hoping to end the meal on a good note, bad idea! The tres leches was still frozen in the middle! We've eaten MANY times here and was very surprised by the bad food. Before we left I asked one of the serves if they were under new management, they are. The new management is definitely NOT making things better! Will not be going back.

I wanted to make a review today thinking I had never wrote one for los Ranchos before...turns out at the beginning of last year I did! Have to say I've been coming here since then to have lunch regularly on the weekends...and every time its the same OUTSTANDING... their quality of meat is amazing its like butter in your mouth, tender and savory cooked to your choice of perfection, the Gallo pinto is so good....delicious!! the service is really good if you are looking for old school older people waitressing, always clean and friendly, I'm simply updating my review to 5 stars.

Los ranchos has been a family favorite ever since I was a little kid. I've only ordered one dish- because it's amazing and simple. I get the baby churrasco...so does the rest of my family. It comes with a side of endless delicious rice and beans (mixed, not sure what that's called) and two to three plantains. Everyone gets two garlic-y buttered toasts to start and a delicious house salad after that. Then comes the delicious meal with a plate of plantain chips for the table. Don't be afraid to order dessert after because it's delicious! The service is hit or miss. Sometimes, they are excited to serve you. Other times I feel like they can't wait for you to leave, but I guess this is everywhere at times? Also, they are very quick when it comes to putting your food on the table. You'll be done with everything in no time because your dish will be out before you finished your salad. Even though the employees are not always the most attentive and exciting, this is one of my favorite spots!!!

I am going to base this review not just on my last experience, but on all the times that we have been to Los Ranchos @ The Falls. We've been dining here for 15+ years, so... brace yourself because this is going to be a LONG review! The food is ALWAYS good. The table is always set with a 3 sauce dish which contains chimichurri, pickled onions and a sweet & spicy salsa. Contrary to popular belief, these sauces are not just for your meats. They are on the table from the start as most Nicaraguans will eat the pickled onions and red salsa on a variety of foods from tortillas to their meats. I wlll get to more of this later. My only complaint is that they have really toned down these sauces. The pickled onions is supposed to be picked onions and jalapenos. It is often called chile (meaning chili like the pepper) for a reason! However, the vinegary complement of the sauce is still satisfying. For a starter, we usually get the Antojitos combination bandeja. Last time we went (Father's Day) we were a very large party and we got two bandejas. At $3.75 per person, it is quite a steal! In the combination you have included all your Nicaraguan appetizer favorites!. Everything tastes better dipped in that creamy red bean soup too! The queso frito is just right. Please don't expect a mozzarella stick! Nicaraguan fried cheese is a very salty cheese that is not breaded and flash fried. The cheese ends up taking a bit of a spongy texture, so it may feel like you just ate that cheese stick at the beach! The quesadilla is not a Tex-Mex quesadilla on a flour tortilla either. The quesadilla is made with authentic Nicaraguan tortillas that are thick cornmeal discs and are stuffed with a latin white melting cheese. In all honesty, I really dislike central american tortillas - no offense I just did not grow up with them. To me they are thick and flavorless. I solve this by dousing my tortillas in any (or all) of the three sauces previously mentioned. The vigoron is a yuca (casava root) warm salad. In Nica, vigiron is often it's own meal. For my taste, the yuca can usually be cooked a bit longer, but I really like my root to be very tender. On top of the the yuca there is a vinegary cole slaw. All of that is "garnished" with chicharron. All of these are well done at Los Ranchos. The cole slaw is tender and very vinegary while the chicharron usually has some meat on it and is perfectly fried. All meals come with a salad and unlimited amount of gallo pinto, tajadas (Plaintain strips) and platanos maduros (fried sweet plantain). White rice is available upon request but it's parboiled rice and fairly flavorless. I happen to like that the gallo pinto here is very tender. Neither the beans or rice are hard. Most places, both items are very hard and not to my taste. As for the meat, I have only ever ordered churrasco or baby churrasco and jalapeno beef tips and can tell you that you will never eat a more tender steak for an affordable price! The meat arrives cooked to order, every time, and if it is not right, they will fix it! I love the jalapeno tip sauce is a creamy onion and jalapeno sauce. I pour it on everything! The beef tip meat is good enough for me, but you can also order a churrasco or their presidente churrasco and have the jalapeno sauce as a side. Heck, this sauce is also great on chicken and lomo de cerdo (pork steak). Their tres leches is ok. Not the best out there but it's not a bad end to a meal. I wouldn't go just for the dessert. In all honesty, I am usually so full by the end of a meal that 4 people share the one small square of cake! Their wine list is full of mid-priced wines that will nicely complement your meal without breaking the bank. Their Sangria is quite tasty but really lacks potency. A bit too much like juice for me, but the DH can drink a 1/2 carafe himself! For the bad: Service is bipolar. Your actual waiter can disappear for most of your meal but the young people that serve your bread (usually stale and hard - not my favorite, but it's free) and refill your water are always around and can run and get the waiter for you in a pinch! On our last visit something must have been up with the a/c as it was hot and humid! Hopefully, that will be fixed soon. Even with that, I will be back again soon for that pillowy soft churrasco... mmmmm!

So disappointed with Los Ranchos! I'm ashamed that people go there thinking they are eating Nica food when in reality it is the worse version of something Hispanic. The "Gallo Pinto" had no color or taste. The churrasco which is what Los Ranchos have been known for was terrible. The fried cheese platter which costs $6, had 4 tiny triangle pieces of cheese. And worse of all was the service. We were a group of 13 and no once was happy with what they ordered. My father requested "well done" and it was so raw that red and blood doesn't describe it enough. The same went for 4 other meat dishes that were not cooked to temp at all. All the waiters, servers and staff just looked lost. If you are looking for Nica food, please do not eat there. They are an insult to my heritage and my country. You are better off paying for an $8 meal at a "fritanga" and the service will probably be better.

I beg to differ, I had ordered the steak medium and it came out Luke warm and well done. It was so chewy I struggled to eat it. Incredible Experience! Had lunch there yesterday and ordered the Baby Churrasco lunch special which comes with bread , house salad, plantains, gallo pinto rice, and about 4 small fried plantains , all for around 15 Bucks . Very good deal , the steak was perfect, medium, with an amazing , succulent, smokey flavor directly from their Huge Grill. The temperature of the the food was right , nice and hot . The atmosphere was nice , the tables were almost all full and the service was fair . I'm very happy to say that this restaurant has maintained their quality and consistency after all these years of being established. I congratulate Management for doing a fine job and keeping their patrons happy.

You like churassco? Well let me tell you that I have had the best churassco of my entire life right here! Los Ranchos Steakhouse! I had the surf and turf dinner which included 4 shrimp (good) and the softest, juiciest, tastiest peace of meat you can ever imagine! I ordered the steak medium rare! That thing was so amazing! New favorite for me!

We were shopping at The Falls and decided to eat a late lunch at Los Ranchos. As we approach, we ask for a table at the bar. We waited and waited as waitress and waiters passed and talking to each other and laughing and having a good time while we been waiting and ignored. After waiting for more than 10 minutes we left the place and not planning to come back. Wow what a bad service. No pienso regresar más nunca. After we left, went to PF Chang where the service was awesome and had a great time.

Los Ranchos is a Nicaraguan steakhouse...or so they say. They have New England clam chowder and chicken ceasar salad on their menu...doesn't sound too Nicaraguan to me, but what do I know? If you're at hungry and at The Falls and you don't want to eat at the shithole that is P.F. Changs, go ahead and eat at Los Ranchos. They have excellent churrasco and gallo pinto (rice with beans). They are really popular on old people holidays like mothers day, fathers day, and Easter. I recommend making reservations and don't expect to be seated until 30-40 minutes after your reservation time. They usually have short holiday menus on those days, so check our their website to make sure they have something you like on the menu. Or just go somewhere else, really. It's good, but not that good.

The food if good but the 2 star rating is because....ready??? At this location, if you have a family with small children you will be seated in the BACK room of the restaurant, regardless if there is room in the main dining room or not! We arrive and notice the restaurant is basically empty with only very few tables occupied. Yet, the hostess(quite cold and emotionless) walks us all the way past the main dining room to an empty small room in the back situated next to the kitchen, where no waiters attended us for at least 15 minutes. When finally approached, the waiter looked bored and unhappy to be there. So unhappy that he even gave us attitude because we did not order the "chef's recommendation". When that was over, slowly we start noticing that the little room starts getting filled with families with small children. Finally, when we finished our meal and start walking out of the restaurant, sure enough, the main dining room was still half empty and with not one child in sight. In conclusion, this restaurant is obviously not comfortable with having families with small children in their dining room and find it to be a nuisance. Perhaps they feel embarrassed? Annoyed? Inconvenienced? Frustrated? And how do they solve their problem? They stick all the possibly rowdy families in the back as if they're ashamed to be considered family friendly! Incredible and ridiculous, but unfortunately true.

I've just recently been here twice and both times I had some shitty service. I usually reserve my foul language for real life but the service was _really_ shitty. Shit-tee. My steaks were pretty good though and I like their chimichurri but the second time I went I got the white rice instead of w/ beans and it was all overcooked and crispy. In my opinion, the one in the Falls sucks! Go to the one in Bayside. Or go to another steak place - Outback is right across the street and you can even get a bloomin' onion.

Great food fast service I called ahead to put our name on list for a large group we were sat right away! Gallo pinto is amazing and churrasco very soft and flavorful, can't complain here!

Presidente churrasco and their homemade rice and beans are excellent. The french onion soup is also great. Service is very good...most of the time. Great for birthdays or night dining. Great location, The Falls.

Just awful. My steak was undercooked and had to send back. Service was slow and disorganized. The lobster tails were dry, most of the food tasted reheated. The sangria was good, so was the flan. I'm never going back, others at my table had the same opinion

The Good: Food was great. Steaks were tender. Waiter was attentive. Prices were reasonable. The Bad: We waited at the bar for our table (not the bad part), and told the hostess we were waiting at the bar, but she called out our name once and didn't come get us so we ended up actually waiting longer. Seats are really cramped (you are very close to other tables). Courses came out too fast - we were barely tucking into our appetizers when our entree showed up. The room is pretty loud, making conversation difficult. Parking here sucks. While I enjoyed my steak, I'm not sure we would make the effort to go back again.

bought 4 25$ gift certificates for an awesome price from Restaurants.com ..... too bad this place wasn't as awesome as I hoped. Steak is pretty good but not fabulous.... whatever, I have 3 more chances to like it :)

I definitely recommend this place. Everything was perfect! I stopped going to Los Ranchos a couple of years back because the food wasn't up to par, the service was mediocre and the overall ambience was lacking. I decided to give it a try again with my boyfriend on a Friday night (July 11th) We got there around 6:30pm. We were seated promptly in the back part of the restaurant near the outside sitting area. The waitress and the waiter assistant immediately served us. They were both very attentive, and very kind. I haven't had that kind of service in a while and I go to restaurants quite frequently. On a side note: my boyfriend and I don't usually drink anything but water and usually at restaurants they don't refill your glass as often as you'd like, but at this restaurant I constantly had a water supply and was always served water by the waiter assistant. To describe our night: we were given bread to start with (delicious and warm), my boyfriend and I were starving and asked for more and we were immediately served more warm and delicious bread by the waiter assistant. Five minutes later, the waitress brought us our salad. Fifteen minutes later when we finished our salad, they were immediately bringing our food. My boyfriend ordered churrasco and I ordered the baby churrasco. It came with plantains. Then the waiter assistant served us gallo pinto, and the waitress gave us a plate of plantain chips. She also brought us our side of fries with ketcup already at hand. The chimichurri complimented the steak. The food overall was mouth watering, the steak was tender, and everything tasted amazing. As I said before I definitely recommend this restaurant. They have completely transformed since the last time I went from the quality of service to the food. Everything is up to par! Only negative is the bathroom was a little messy (toilet paper on the floor) but I'm okay with that. Not everything can be perfect. On another side note: the restaurant around 9pm was super packed with people. Every table looked full when my boyfriend and I walked past the restaurant after walking around the mall and shopping. So that goes to show that other people enjoy and love it just like me.

Great place !!! The food is awesome, the drinks are well... drinks... lol. Great family atmosphere weekend night the mariachis are making their rounds. The special churrasco stake is so tender and juicy that it does make your mouth water .

If you're not dining at this restaurant to eat churrasco then not sure what you came for! Anytime I have people visiting I bring them here to have churrasco and they leave with the biggest smile on their face and then I get a big hug Everything else is great too! The salad, bread, rice and beans, plantains, all of it is all you can eat when you order the churrasco. Just make sure you're extra hungry when you get there!

Have eaten here many times in the past having great meals. It has been quite a while so I can for late lunch with 6 other family members. The restaurant was quite empty which was a concern. There was no host to greet us. Actually 2 waiters walked by without acknowledging our presence. A young lady finally came with no apology of our wait time. We were placed in the back corner, not a prime location. Actually the waiters had difficulty getting our water glasses. You are handed 2 menus without any explanation. One has lunch specials in addition to other entrees. All ordered entrees yet 2 did not get a salad. The explanation was not every entree gets a salad. This was not acceptable and poor customer relation in my eyes. The meal was great but 1 plate's portions appeared very small. The 3 contiment container barely served the 7 of us, too. Although there were several waiters, I did feel rushed. There were barely 6 tables in use! Although there is a lunch menu, choices are limited so average cost comes to $10 to $15 per person plus drinks.

Definitely not what it used to be, churrassco was subpar. I much rather go to La Carreta . Papaitas are still fire though.

I had dinner tonight with my son. I had the baby churasco medium. It was a bit more like medium rare. But was still tasty. My steak went well with the house cabarnet. There was no crowd in Monday nite which was nice. Service was fast but not overbearing. I gave it a 4 star because they really need to rectify their fruit fly problem. It became ridiculous.

I ordered a churrascot well done cooked and brought me well burned, The gallo pinto rice was tasty, the cheese and chicken quesadilla same as in Taco Bell. If you are hungry go to another place.

The quality of the food is great but be prepared to deal with less than courteous service. It does get full especially during peak lunch and dinner hours so I would suggest making reservations beforehand. I will definitely be coming back to this location

I just left from having lunch with my family. The food seemed like it had been reheated. The manager was not very helpful at all. I had a restaurant.com certificate I wanted to redeem so the waiter took my phone to the kitchen with him came back asked me to redeem the certificate then it said it had already been redeemed. I asked if when he took it to the kitchen if they had pressed any buttons he said hold on and again left with my phone to the kitchen. The manager came out after all this back and forth and said they have not been taking restaurant.com certificates in about 4 years. Then proceeded to tell me that he cannot take the certificate and that he had nothing to do with it being redeemed today. He told me I should ask for my money back from restaurant.com and I told him I cannot because it shows it was redeemed today and he told me that was not his problem. Terrible manager and I recommend not coming to this place. The manager does not care about customer service at all. Go to Fritanga it is more economic and the food is way better.

After a day of shopping, I stopped in for a late lunch. It had been a while since I'd eaten at a Los Ranchos. What first got my attention was their "kids eat free lunch" sign out front. After having just bought school supplies, new shoes, and paid about $200 on an American Girl doll (with her accessories, of course!), I suddenly had a burning desire to "save money." So this was the perfect place to save a little mula and take a short break from shopping. The service was superb and the food was as good as I remember. I had the special of the day, the "Pargo a la plancha" (pan-seared filet of snapper) which is served with their traditional rice with red beans, plantains and plantain chips, too. The fish was perfectly cooked and delish! Although they serve the traditional 3 sauces, I had the fish as it was served. And I couldn't help but indulge in a lovely glass of Pinot Grigio. My lil 6 yr old monkey had the kid's size "churrasco" steak with fries. She ate most of it which is a miracle for my little picky eater. And her new doll, Saige, was seated at the table in her own kid's seat. (our server explained that its a common sighting at their restaurant for the kids to have their AG dolls sitting prim and proper at the table). Fortunately for me, Saige did not have much of an appetite. :) It was a super nice lunch and I look forward to returning soon.

We came here because we knew it was inclined towards Nicaraguan food, from previous experience. When we arrived, we were at awh. The vibe changed from a nice dining experience to an awkward and old ordeal. The service was very good and attentive. My two stars comes from the fact that they didn't have tostones as a side on a Tuesday (the waiter said they ran out). The churrasco wasn't up to par. The chicken pasta dish was disgusting and looked stale and stiff. It was disappointing.

How can they be so yummy!!!!! Ugh, absolutely love it here. Service is great and they are very professional. There are times though that you do have to wait in line, but that just comes to show how good they are! I always order the baby churrasco with chimichurri sauce when I come here. It's my favorite!

Over priced nica food. Plain and simple. 22 dollars for a churassco is highway robbery. I used to go there for a good steak but they have priced me out for such a cheap cut of meat. Went recently and there was nothing to be desired. Wont be back unless Im having a drink at the bar waiting for my girlfriend to finish shopping.

Good sangria..good churrasco..good ceviche..poor service..the busboy spoke more to us than the waitress..my salad and meal arrived at the same time..(no apologies from waitstaff)..we ordered a side of plantain-twice, it never came. Three stars become two..with poor service and annoying flies.

[FANTINE] There was a time when service was kind When their voices were soft And their words inviting There was a time when people dressed up And the atmosphere was classy And the food was exciting There was a time Then it all went wrong ......... watching this Los Ranchos go downhill has been like watching a dear old friend get some kind of incurable illness that is destroying them sand there is nothing you can do about it. First of all, when did Los Ranchos become a family style tourist trap restaurant? I think the first clue was when we noticed that they put paper over the table cloth to keep the linens clean. On a slow night (Tuesday) after we were seated and got bread and water, it about 10 minutes before the waiter came and offered to take our order. No 'welcome to Los Ranchos', no mention of any special or recommendations, nothing special. Once our apps came the salad was very non-special, nothing to write home about. we ordered an order of Vigoron and it was pretty blah, the coleslaw with it was warm and the chicharrones soggy, very very blah. Once our food did arrive, the best service we got was from the bus boy and the food runner. Our waiter was shinning in his absence. No one from the staff asked us once if the food was ok or if there was anything I needed. The bartender did not even know how to make a highball properly. In case you are reading this, a Highball is NOT rum with water. Once the meal was over, again the food runner was the one shinning star of the staff. The Churrasco was good, but I guess it is difficult to screw that up, although from some of the reviews I have read here, I guess even that is possible. This place is no longer worth taking up one of the dining out stops I take when I visit Miami. sadly, for the price there are Much better [places out there in terms of service, atmosphere, and food. \and then it all went wrong....

located in the middle section of The Falls across from the theater. the place is dimly lit giving it an intimate setting crispy bread is served along w water shortly after we sat down. service is acceptable but def not for them to impose/include an 18% gratuity charge on the bill and to make things worse (and for those that don't pay attention), an additional blank line for gratuity is there for those who wish to give more! are you kidding me? we both ordered baby churrasco but the server offered the presidente upgrade. well done for my better half and medium for me. i remember years back the quality of the churrasco was equivalent to that of the "presidente" option or upgrade so now the steak

AMAZING!! I have never had Churrasco before and I was definitely missing out! A friend took me here for lunch a few weeks ago and I did not know what I was in for. DELICIOUS! I am so happy I found this place. I will take all my friends here. Every meal come with these 3 delicious sauces. The green pesto one is addicting, I cant get enough of it. The prices are very reasonable as well. $17 for a steak with 2 sides, salad, and bread! Will go back!

I remember coming to Los Ranchos as a kid and it being really good, have gone a couple times recently and have had the opposite experience... food isn't cheap, and the meat leaves a lot to be desired... the steaks have been kind of fatty and stringy both times I gave this place a chance...

Used to be good.... many, many moons ago. I've been to this, and other Los Ranchos locations in the past. The last few times have been just okay, nothing special. You could see the decline in food and service after each visit. But this last visit may have just put the last nail in their coffin. I, too, purchased a Restaurant.com certificate. Heck, anything to save a few bucks right? Note to Los Ranchos. If you're going to cop an attitude on people that use discount coupons, don't offer them in the first place! We arrive and are seated at a tini tiny table for two. Normally, at restaurants with good service, this would not be a problem. In a minute, you'll see why it was an issue this time. We get water and bread right away, then wait for over 10 minutes for someone to come and take our order. Since we were using the certificate, we were ordering from the regular menu and had ordered over the required $50 to use the certificate. Since it was Happy Hour, we wanted to also order Happy Hour drinks and were told no way Jose. Um okay, we just won't order any drinks at all, and you will make no extra money! So we sit and wait for our salad and appetizers. We were practically licking crumbs from our bread plate when after 20 minutes, out comes our entrees. We asked about our salad and appetizer and with no apologies, they bring them out. So on our tini tiny table sits 2 entree plates, and appetizer plate, 2 salad plates, a plate of fries, 2 water glasses and that big ol thing with the sauces! My husband's churrasco was okay. My medium tenderloin was served raw. Fries were stale. Plus nothing was hot. No check back service whatsoever, so I had to ask someone to find our server since I don't like my steak mooing. The only good thing about our entire meal was the mushroom sauce on my steak. The steak itself was tough & chewy, definitely not a tenderloin! Since we used the certificate they added the 18% gratuity for crappy service. We paid $50 bucks AFTER the coupon was applied. There is no way in hell that the food and service received equaled $75! Never again.

Despite getting off to a rocky start with the hostess (it really irks me when hostesses or wait staff make customers wait while they finish a conversation with an off-duty visiting co-worker), this is usually most common in Cuban cafes (where the male clientele is obviously favored), not Nicaraguan steak houses. The food here is very good. The Churrasco steak is very tender, the secret must be in the marinade. Before the salad even comes out I have munched my way thru all the spicy onions that come with the chimi churri and garlic bread. The house salad that comes with your meal is simple, light, a perfect opener to the feast you're about to enjoy. The red sangria is almost as good as mine :-) And you can't forget the gallo pinto... yum! I have been a regular client of Los Ranchos for years, so I was excited to find they had a deal on Groupon $16 for $30 worth of food and drinks, great deal! Our waiter totally redeemed their service score. Very friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel pampered. I will definitely come back.

it was a Saturday night and my boyfriend wanted to do something different before we saw a movie at The Falls. We haven't been to Los Ranchos in such a long time therefore we went. We sat down fast and peruse our menus while our waiter came to our table. I ordered a sangria while my boyfriend preferred water. Our bread and three salsas came right away. The bread was crispy and light. It was hot and delicious also. We both ordered the Baby Churrasco medium well. The churrasco comes with either Gallo Pinto which is cooking the white rice together with red beans or white rice, sweet plantains or crispy plantains (mariquitas) and house salad. A lot of food for a good price. Our salad came first to wet our appetite and then our food came in the right amount of time. The meat was cooked very good and tasty. To my surprise, they placed the mariquitas and sweet plantains with our dish. They first served the steak with the sweet plantain to each of us. Then came a separate plate with my Gallo pinto with mariquitas for me and white rice with mariquitas for my boyfriend. We also ordered a second helping of bread. Yum! While we were eating our delicious meal, a guitar playing trio was going from table to table to serenate the guests for a tip of course. They sang to the Spanish classical music that I grew up with and my first thought was that my parents would extremely love this. I did not want our experience to end as we slowly savored each bit. We just did not want to leave but we had to see the movie. I definitely will take my parent here for my mom's birthday!!

My daughter chose this place for her wedding rehearsal dinner since it was closest to the venue. We were a hungry, rowdy bunch of about 40. I have to say the service was outstanding (probably because we had like 10 servers!). The wine flowed, the appetizers flowed (i love those little fried cheese thingies), and the food came when I (the one in charge) said it was time. Everything was wonderful. My fellow diners enjoyed their entrees as well.. AnyHoo, we all had a good time and my daughter was happy (that's all that matters). Thank Los Ranchos for a wonderful meal.

3.5 with a round up. Reading the other reviews, I feel lucky, we had no services problems except for a baby with a tude'. And she was our problem. Everybody ordered different versions of meat (you did come here for a meatfest... right?) The Steak Rachero & Churrasco Rancheros were very good. They were much more tender then they cut. I don't know if the knives suck or what, but when cutting the steak, it didn't feel as tender and juicy on the plate as it did in my mouth. I don't remember if my mom ordered the Medallions "Monoco" or the Petit Mignonetas, because they both come with the same mushroom sauce, but the meat in the mushroom sauce was excellent. I was not thrilled by the Chorizo appetizer. Black beans and rice that are served with everything are goo too. My parents have had several good experiences and this is quickly becoming one of their go-to restaurants.

I have been to this restautant at the Fall's Mall about 4 times now, but the last visit will be my final. We ordered the steak, it was tough, really hard to cut and chew. My son did not finish his meal so we decided to take it to go. The server handed me a take out container and inside was a LIVE COCKROACH! I brought it over to the server. No apology. He shrugged his shoulders and brought me another take out container. We paid the bill and left the food behind YUCK! I have worked in the restaurant industry in the past and some cockroaches is normal to see in any kitchen. But when they are alive and living in places like the take out containers, they must have an INFESTATION. They should be shut down and forced to deal with the problem. GROSS. NEVER AGAIN.

One of my favorite steakhouses in Miami. The first time I went there was when it first opened many years back, and I recall it not being anything special. Two years ago, my friend mentioned that he wanted to eat there. I thought I should gave it a shot after so many years... and I'm so glad I did! I go to an out-of-state college but every time I'm back home in Miami, I would go there to eat. All their steaks are AMAZING, and it comes with a salad, rice & beans, plaintains, and cripsy bananas. Price is definitely reasonable. My favorite is the Churrasco but I also like El Ranchero. This winter break when I went back, they had El Presidente & Baby Presidente (I believe that was what they were called). It is basically the Churrasco with special seasoning... EXTRA DELICIOUS. I hope they have it the next time I go back too.

Oh I had the spectacular dinner coupon which 50% entire bill :) So I was very happy with that! This Los Ranchos in Falls, is very nice, well located and nice atmosphere. Order, of course, the churrasco steak, with gallo pinto and maduros. Very good! love the sauces. Will come back to this location!

3.5 Stars Dear Los Ranchos of the Falls, Date night... What to do that is low-key and still nice? Having never been here, and living super nearby, this was an easy choice for a good meal and a quiet night. The bf and I were seated in the coziest little table around the corner, giving it a very private feel, which we both enjoyed. The service was a bit lacking, as it took our server a good 10 minutes before he even made an appearance at our table. A few kind words later, we had water and our friend was on point the rest of the night. ;) We started with a bottle of wine and took our time to peruse the menu. We enjoyed our wine and decided to order a little while later. When we finally did, we opted for sharing a plate since neither of us was dying of hunger. We ordered the Medallions "Monaco", which are two 5 Oz. beef tenderloin medallions with a homemade mushroom sauce that was literally finger-licking good! The medallions were cooked to perfection, soft and warm, but nice and red in the middle. The mushroom sauce was tasty and complimented the medallions well. It definitely did taste homemade! All of the entrees come with a house salad, which the bf enjoyed, and I ordered a Cesar salad separately. This dish also comes with garlic bread, platanos maduros, and the "world" famous Gallo Pinto rice. This rice alone is worth eating here any day of the week! Throughout our meal, our server came back to check on us, refill water, pour wine, etc. That made up for his initial slip up. Overall we were really pleased with our meal, service and experience in general. Being that its so close to us, we will definitely be back. Thank you for a great evening Los Ranchos!! Kind Regards, SabrinaAnna*

It's Monday night and we end up here for dinner. There are only about 8-10 other tables with people in them, and our dinner took almost 2 hours. That is just plain unacceptable. While I love the tres leches from Los Ranchos, I didn't even want to order it by the time our waiter asked if we wanted dessert because I didn't want to be there for another half hour. The food, however, was superb. We started off with the traditional queso frito (fried cheese) that is always a crowd pleaser. You can't go wrong with cheese and if it's fried - all the better! I had the churrasco which was extra tender and full of flavor. Their gallo pinto (which is a mixture of rice and beans) is served semi-family style and you can actually tell them how much you want and they'll keep serving it till you tell them to stop. This gallo pinto was one of the best I've had. I don't typically expect much from restaurants in a mall...I'll give Los Ranchos at the Falls 5 stars for food but barely 1 star for service.

I would rather visit a hole in wall Fritanga place than spend a ton of money for overpriced food. Give me a break, Nica food is simple. There is no magic involved. It's great Latin food. What you get at Los Ranchos is a fancy looking place serving rice and beans on a platter. People it's rice and beans!

The Food is excellent and the service is very good. One of my favorite place to eat. They even have specials for Mall clients from 12 pm to 3pm. I have had the pleasure of enjoying their meals on several occasions and shifts. Steaks are always cooked to order and delicious. Their Fish of the day is perfectly cooked and seasoned.
