Have been eating here for years. Great food. But if you want to to go on a busy night e.g. holiday, weekends call ahead to get your name on the list. Their lobster dip is great! And of course their steaks!

Ive been to Longhorn quite a few times in my life - but I'd like to take amintue and review the experience i had last Firday night (July 17, 2015). I ordered a small renegade sirloin with a baked potato and i must say, the steak was cooked magnificently. Ive had a lot of average to below average experiences at this location and i was pleasantly surprised. My wifes Flo Filet was also cooked perfectly. Th eonly drawback from my visit are the sides. The sides at longhorn tends to be an afterthought - possible pre-packaged processed foods they just kind of throw on your plate. But, the steaks, at least on this visit, were exquisite. Kudos.

I don't know why I keep going to places that I didn't like before. It was late and my family and I were looking a for a place nearby to have dinner. We decide on longhorn. I keep forgetting that this place is not what you want when you want to have quality steak. I ordered a medium steak and it was tough as nails. The servers was great and as such I tipped well even though the food sucked as it wasn't her fault. Learned my lesson. Never again! On the other hand their chili cheese fries, the warm bread, blackberry lemonade and chocolate molten lava cake were very good.

Very good service , we were seated within 10 minutes not bad at all, very friendly staff , the food was great also. Our Server Caleb was very professional and helpful. Definitely we are coming back soon.

The best place for lunch and dinner in west Kendall Always packed must be a reason. I have never had a bad steak. Which outlaw ribeye is my favorite.

Always a great dining experience at Longhorn! Great staff, great management. Things I love: ~Their bread, I can't get enough of that warm honey wheat bread smothered in butter. ~Longhorn Cesar Salad - Always fresh tasting! ~Grilled White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms - Served over a four cheese type creamy blend. Worth every single calorie! ~Loaded Baked Potato - Very good ~Sweet Potato with Cinnamon Sugar & Butter - Sinfully good! ~Flo's Filet - Always succulent and mouth watering. Medium rare please! And if you still have room for dessert and are a chocolate lover, you can't go wrong with sharing one of these: ~Molten Lava Cake ~Chocolate Stampede What I loathe: Mac N' Cheese is God awful! They could use some tips from allrecipes.com ! It's the most bland mac n cheese I've ever had. DO NOT ORDER IT! Short and sweet review! ;)

I haven't ate here so I can't comment on the food...but the smell of the place when initially walked in was horrific. It smells like the carpet hasn't been cleaned since they first opened which must have been a few years now. How can someone eat while smelling that? Gross! I walked out!

Back in the day I would have given this restaurant 4 stars but since good service seems to be lacking (even when it's not busy they now take forever for everything and are not as courteous as before) and they took away the yummy boneless buffalo chicken tenders it's just not the same. Some of my favorite items include the firecracker chicken wraps (I can honestly eat that every time I come here), their awesome bread, Caesar salad (with grilled salmon or by itself), potato soup, flo's fillet, Mac n cheese and the kids' steak (forgot which kind it is now). I hope they work out whatever issues they are having that is making their servers and service not be as good because I used to really enjoy coming here.

Let's be real, Longhorn is the McDonald's of steakhouses. You don't go to Longhorn for the food or the service, simply for the convenience and the prices. It's right in the corner of my house and I can get a decent size steak and 2 sides for $20 bucks. However. don't expect any flavorful steaks here, their steaks look/taste like a reheated meat loaf, similar to what they give on budget cruise ships, service is non existent and everyone comes dressed here like they rolled out of bed. Even the servers know the place is a joke, I asked the server what he recommended and he said the Ribs. Isn't this a steakhouse?? After I tried the steak I realized he wasn't lying!!! Don't expect any professional service here, this is literally the same type of employees you find at McDonald's, it's all a bunch of kids who don't care about their job, the whole night Hiphop/rap music coming from the kitchen was over powering the country music in our table by the bar, our waiter was hiding in the back venting to his other co worker about how much their job sucks and the food taste like something served in Middle School cafeteria. If your looking for a quick, cheap and Late dinner this might hit the spot for you but don't ever consider coming her on a date or to bring your parents on a birthday or anything nice.

There are a few places that I would actually not want to come and allow myself or anyone else to dine here and this location of longhorn steakhouse I wouldn't want my worst enemy to come here and eat! First, let's talk about when you walk in the place is filthy in the entrance where you sit and wait to be called. Second, the manager tamilia I'm not to fond of her, her presence is very unwelcoming and she has a resting bitch face and her fake smile turns myself and my family away. I used to enjoy coming here but since my brother wanted to come here and I haven't been since 2012 which makes 3 years and now I come back and I'm not surprised. Third, the hosts are slow and they don't take five seconds to clean up around the host stand. To sum it up, they always tend to over cook my steak and they're a steakhouse and it's pretty sad when a restaurant that's known for "steak" gets my main entree wrong and over cooked.

WARNING..., THIS PLACE SMELLS LIKE A FARM. It deserves no star should be shut down!!My sister and I JUST WALKED IN.. disgusting. First we thought it was the old rug in the entrance But as we waited for the host to attend to us I couldn't stand the foul Oder. This place should not be open for service with that smell in a place that serves food! Never will I go there again.

Great food regular wait times during the weekends. I usually get the outlaw which is pretty good. Staff is usually friendly but that also depends who you get. Last time the waiter gave us extra bread for home which was a nice touch. One suggestion maybe is that if they can exand the bar area little bit more the wait times i am sure will decrease Cheers!

Excellent dinner at longhorn on 7/30. Waiter Gabriel was superb. Always one step ahead of us. Really appreciated his attention. Great food- ordered two bacon cheddar sirloin 6oz, renegade sirloin 6oz, w/loaded potato & Caesar salad and a prime rib w/mashed potatoes & Caesar salad. The Parmesan encrusted asparagus was a lovely appetizer. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Didn't even bother to eat here. We walked in the door and were hit immediately by a rank, sour odor. It was revolting, and had infused the entire restaurant. My partner, who has worked in the food service industry, identified it as the smell of rotten food left in a drain, combined with poorly cleaned surfaces. Furthermore, it was emanating from the kitchen. Host tried to pass it off as 'something funny with the entryway carpet.' BEWARE THIS LOCATION.

Went to Longhorns to have a steaks salad and a bake potato. salad didn't taste right, steak & bake potato took longer than it should have, over 1 1/2hr, than the steak looked like it can from outback could not eat it. Longhorns has become a hit or miss Resterand sometimes great sometimes awful if I could give it a -five star I would

We ate there this Friday after living around the corner. Don't waste your time. Not too bad 20 minute wait for the weekend. Very crowded. But EVERYTHING was subpar for too much! At those prices, the food has to be better! You could eat at Chili's or TGIF's for cheaper & similar quality. We had spinach dip appetizer, too salty chips & bland dip. Out of white peach tea, so I ordered strawberry lemonade. Too much syrup! Taste like medicine. Then they forgot our salads. Once they brought out our food the sever realized we never got it. It was ok. I had the outlaw. Very fatty and I asked for well done, it was medium at best. My husband had a sirloin with mushrooms & potatoes. Potatoes taste like instant. Bread was warm with butter. And a small spider type bug was crawling on the table towards the end of meal. We paid the check & left. Don't waste your time.

Food was okay at best. The service was however horrendous. Noone ever cleared away empty bottles, salad bowls and appetizer dishes and when the entrees came, the server said sarcastically "it would be nice if you'd help me put these down" ... well pick up the bloody dirty dishes off the table before you bring the entrees. Then my wife is trying to sit down at our table after going to the restroom and another server is behind her pushing her way through. I've seen better service at McDonalds or other fast food chains than here. The wait staff needs serious training. Not worth the 40 minute wait.

Returned after having had a somewhat better experience recently: while the service (Liz) was better (she was charming), the food was still a disappointment. Two medium rare steaks, both overcooked terribly (I.e., shoe leather). Delays for drinks were lengthy (not our waitresses fault; bartender was very slow). Sides were ok (new roasted corn side is good, but a bit too sweet, which masks the smokiness). Throughout our entire meal (just under 1.5 hours) the (any) manager never stopped there once. Not once. Honestly, I could have gotten better beef at BK or McD's (judge for yourself in picture). The only reason I will be coming back (for something other than steak which, after the last three visits, they obviously cannot get right): first, my daughter loves cheese fries. Second, it's only a mile from home. Get it right Longhorn! I've given feedback to corporate before, and while service is now better, this is still a far cry from what longhorn used to be. We've been dining here too long to accept this kind of performance!

OK, so my review is mostly for the bar. The bar tender Joel is AMAZING! Man he mix a drink! He is quick and efficient and very outgoing and friendly. We just wanted some drinks and an appetizer so I asked for suggestions and he recommended the calamari which were awesome. They come with a sweet chili dipping sauce and yummy! We will just come here to sit at the bar for great drinks!

Boy, I would usually be this full when I'm eating at Cheesecake Factory. Maybe it's because of the leftover McDonald's Deluxe Breakfast I ate earlier, but I'm sure it's because the food was that good at LongHorn Steakhouse. If you can deal with the slightly expensive food prices for their amazing food, then you'll love eating at LongHorn. People love this restaurant: Mom, Dad and I went today - a Sunday afternoon - and a lot of tables were taken. We were still able to get a table nonetheless. The Western theme is well-emphasized here. I remember going here for the first time when I was a kid, when the place was dark and dimly lit, making me feel a bit stuffy in the restaurant. Now, the interior is much more visible, making the restaurant more inviting, although I did not like it when my chair was right next to a post. I had little room to move my arms. LongHorn has a lot of food items to choose from: along with steak, they also have fish, shrimp, chicken, salads and dessert. I would have liked the menu to be just a tad more organized though: there were a few sections marked "Signature", which I assume are their especially good menu options. Why couldn't they combine both regular and Signature food items and sort them by type of dish. I wouldn't have had to flip back and forth between pages if they did. All the food was cooked very well, and had bold taste, nonetheless. For appetizers, we had the Best of Longhorn Sampler (cheese-filled eggrolls, tiny shrimp with a spicy pepper garnish, and stuffed mushrooms), and the thick, yet crispy Housemade Kettle Chips. For our meals, Mom had the Blackened Cobia & Cajun Rice; Dad had a juicy medium-well 11 oz. Ribeye Steak with a baked Cinnamon Sugar-topped Sweet Potato; I had the Spring-featured Grilled Lamb Chops with Wilted Spinach and Steamed Broccoli. All our entrées came with a choice of side salad; we all ordered Caesar Salad. I don't think that I wanted a salad the size of what Cheesecake would serve, though. Since I wanted more veggies than I did for comfort food, I opted out the Horseradish Whipped Potatoes for broccoli, although our waitress Keisha did not know either what the dish was or what the foods on the dish tasted like. Whether I wanted to opt a food out or not, I would have liked our waiter/waitress to be knowledgable about the foods on the menu so I can be informed properly if I needed it. I loved eating at LongHouse, and I am certain I will come back again. I would have liked to see a few more Fit Selections for those hoping to get the LongHorn taste for less calories. I only saw about three or four options, including the Grilled Tilapia and Mango Salsa. Perhaps they could also include a Vegetable Medley side option that includes not just broccoli, but also slices baby carrots and cauliflower? Expect about an hour-long visit to LongHorn, consider the fact that there are a lot of customers, as well as cooking the food exactly as ordered. Also expect spending about $20 to $30 per person - a bit pricey, yes, but rest assured, the price and wait are worth it.

Try there flo's filet, (juicy) and firecracker shrimp. Wait time is a hour on weekends for a table ,that sucks especially since service isn't that great. We waited because it was really late and couldn't be bothered to go some place else. I enjoy this restaurant even with the flaws.

Love this place. Real juicy tasty steak. The mashed potatoes are to die for. Rich creamy and buttery! They dont have the best dessert, they should make something like the Molten Lava Cake from Chilis. Last time i got dessert it was like a martini glass of bland white icecream, a bunch of whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. Bad. The rest of the food is great. Love their crispy fresh side salads and the delicious honey wheat bread right out of the oven!! They bring you as many as you want. The employees are always so nice and alot of time the managers come to the tables to ask how is everything doing.

The reason for three stars is the host was extremely rude. I don't know his name but he seemed very stuck up and was bossing another employee about cleaning tables. When me and my wife approached the stand he looked at us and said oh sorry these other people outside were first. I was confused on his service. In the restaurant business it is important to have a friendly host or hostess. The host is your very first impression of the restaurant. It is also the last person you see when you leave. Depending on their attitude determines how you feel about the restaurant upon arrival. They are the key to a great customer service experience. Other than that the food was great and the waitress was very nice.

Anyone who truly knows me will tell you that I love Longhorn...the food never disappoints me. Service at most of the Longhorn restaurants I've been to is pretty good, as well. I haven't had the steak in a long time but you really can't go wrong with most of their other selections. The grilled chicken sandwich with avocado is awesome and if you're on the health-conscious side, it is one of the lighter choices offered on the menu...but still very satisfying and delicious. My only reason for not giving five stars is that the waitress was being overly familiar with me and it made me a bit uncomfortable. She was friendly and attentive which was definitely good, but some of her behavior was off-putting. She stared at me a lot, to the point where I felt weird and then she said it was because I reminded her of some girl named Natalie. Hmm...OK. Then my next pet peeve was that she kept calling me "baby girl". But she referred to my husband as "sir". I'm not one of those uptight people who is offended by terms of endearment but I felt it was a bit unprofessional to use a respectful term like "sir" for my husband and then address me (a grown woman) as "baby girl". I didn't know her from Adam and I haven't been a baby girl in a very long time. Unfortunately when you are a short, youthful-looking person like me, it seems to invite a lot of familiarity and disrespect. I'm sure that she meant no harm and her service was great otherwise...but maybe she should dial back on calling adult women "baby girl" and the creepy staring. I felt like I was being hit on and that's just awkward.

    1. Waiting 1/2 hour outside and they had 8 uncleaned tables not being touched over 20 min 2 . Sat no waitress over 15 mim.. 3 no bread water for ever 4 appetzer cold 5 corn cold 6 something flew over the wall of our booth landed in wine cup ... When confronted manager was like ok .... Not attentive .. This particular restaurant is a mess.. We have gotten wrong food .. Wrong checks... U name it... We are so done ! No more.. And we are not picky at all but this was off chain bad

Wanted to give them a second chance today but once again it was a disappointment. All of our cups were dirty on the outside, my husband's drink had floating debris with stuff stuck on the inside, and all of our utensils were filthy. The bread didn't even taste fresh. The must get a new manager soon because this place is going downhill very quickly!!!!

The service was great last night but the food was out right NASTY! The porterhouse for two came out cold and the salad croutons where stale. Save your money and eat at home! Only because our server was very apologetic and friendly, this place gets 2 stars.

The best ONION cheesecake I've ever had in my life! Yes, onion in my cheesecake. I'm a regular at this place and its going down the hill. Someone in the kitchen wants this place down.

Food is good, but boy the service could not be any worse. The waitress was so rude, got all the orders wrong and it took forever to come out. It's truly a shame. You have many choices to eat around this area, do yourself a favor and go eat somewhere else.

Honestly I am not a fan of chain food restaurants, especially ones that call them selves a steakhouse. With that said, we decided to come to Longhorn steakhouse because it's close to the house. I was pleasantly surprised, it's not often that I get to say that my filet is cooked to perfection, and I'm saying it now. The Flo's filet with a side of sweet potatoes and asparagus was delicious. What a satisfying meal after a long week. The bacon Mac and cheese was off the chain. Definitely will be back.

My husband and I come to this longhorn location all of the time, it's one of our favorite locations. The staff is so friendly and they allow us to call ahead while we are driving there and put our names down. I usually get the parmesan crusted chicken with a side of mashed potatoes...so good! The Texas cheese fries are amazing!!!

I was told my take out order would be ready in 25 minutes. It was more like an hour. Didn't want to wait so long at the restaurant... It was a week night and it's not like the place was super packed.

Good menu , great meats , it's close to my house , I been here more then five time and always it's the same situation with the waiting, it's crazy , the bar not to good , the rest I can say is eatable .

Let me begin with the disclaimer that I only sit at the bar and will never eat in the restaurant area again. I have had consistent, bad service at the tables and have given up on that completely. On to the positive side and what I am basing this rating on......I love eating here. The food is always consistently good, fresh and yummy! Considering what is included with most meals (bread & salad), it's a great price and deal. I am very picky about fish and the trout is always fresh and delicious. This place does get busy at times but I always seem to find a spot in the bar area.

Love their Flo's filet, sweet potato, and awesome bread basket. Couple that with a great martini and that is a dinner at Longhorn! The server was great and I have always had good service here. Great neighborhood restaurant.

Today Sunday, October 19, 2014. I went to eat with my son at LongHorn Steakhouse. The food was amazing. I had steak, sweet potato, salad and wheat bread. There bread is fabulous. Our waiter was wonderful. I highly recommend the restaurant. Great place to eat with the family.

I went last night after watching some many times the TV commercial, the place could be cleaner in my opinion. The food had a very good taste, I asked for a Outlaw Rib-eye (medium) I like juicy meats, with some salad a potatoes with bacon and cinnamon. The person helping us was really friendly (Savannah) and nice, no complains about her service. My wife asked for a Hamburger and she told me it was tasty too. Other than normal things that you can expect in a restaurant my experience would be 4-5 star if the place would be cleaner. The rest I always keep in mind the we're all humans.

I went for the very first time this past Saturday and I have to say I loooooved it!! We had the sampler appetizer which had mini fried shrimp, stuffed mushroom caps and fried chicken wraps - yum! The salad was great, and the steak was perfect!!! The service was good and the restaurant itself is pretty cool. The only down side is that everyone else seems to love it too so there is a long wait and it's a little pricier than what I expected. Our bill was $90 with tip for just 2 people and no alcohol. We never spend more than $70 at outback which I think is pretty similar. This was really, really good and worth it though.

My entire experience felt like I was on an episode of Punk'd. I arrived at 10:25pm and was seated within a couple of minutes for my party of two. My friend arrived, literally, at 10:31 and was attacked by a sasquatch of a woman YELLING at him in some yeti-language that translated along the lines of "I cannot let you in, we are closing". I only make this comparison because she was absolute rudest creature I have ever had the displeasure of sharing air with. I went to the entrance to let the woman know that he was in my party that I had been seated for, and she STILL argued that she could lose her job over letting my coworker come in EVEN THOUGH I already had our table. A server must've overheard the predicament because they came over to seat us. The associate title of the Sasquatch creature is unknown. Once seated, we were greeted by an incredibly enthusiastic host in place of a server. He gave us out menus and I decided to order ribs with a side of baked potato and sweet potato. 20 minutes after placing our order, the host comes back to us to say-- and I quote-- "It breaks my heart to tell you this, and I am super super sorry, but we have no ribs." This man was so sincere in his apology that my heart almost broke in return. I asked for another menu so I could choose a different entree. This menu only has the pages for ribs, steak, salads and appetizers. I was dying to get out of there so I ordered a trout off of the specials in the table. 10 minutes later the host returns to say, "I am super super sorry, but we don't have potatoes." We laughed and I just ordered fries. He said he would try to get us something free from his manager. The trout arrived and my sweet potato side was almost twice as large as the fish. It is best compared to the size of an iPhone. It was all mediocre. I didn't even finish it. When the bill arrived, we had no discounts but we were too exhausted to mention anything. Also, he didn't bring us pens so we had to get one from the bar. Overall, never coming back to this place. But whoever our host-turned-server guy was is an excellent employee and really made it more bearable!

Value: 7 Customer Service: 10 Quality: 8 The customer service here was nailed to perfection. It started off when we walked in the door and were greeted by the hostess. I asked the young fella if there was a VIP area that we could sit in to be away from people. He informed me that he would make sure to not seat anyone around us, and would give us the best waitress that they had available. The meal was outstanding! The customer service was outstanding, so next time that I fly into TaMiami Executive I'm coming to see these people once again. My check ended up being just under $60, so I through $30 out there for a tip because YES they truly gave us great customer service!

I love steak and I love this place!! The choices of steak are just yummy and the kids menu is excellent. This place is usually our friday dinner date with the family. My daughter enjoys the kids menu. My husband loves the T-bone steak, and myself-- I love trying the newest steak dish. The service I have found it to be pretty good. Food comes out usually fast.

Poor service. Lacking attention to detail. Placed my order asked to have appetizers to come out first and come back for my order. Hi Loves, Longhorns think again! I use to be a fan of this restaurant and this location. Unfortunately, I went there last week and it was the pits. Let's start off with that the bread was hard. Yuck. The chips didn't come with the BBQ dip it clearly said on the menu. I asked for no cheese on my burger and I was brought a cheeseburger. I asked the server to please change it. Then while eating the lights went out for a good 3 minutes and then out again fr another 5. I was not pleased at all and I had raved about this place to by boyfriend so much. He hated it and told me that from now on he gets to pick were we eat. :(

Came on a Thursday night around 8:30. Had to wait 20 min for a table since this isn't a very big location. Once we were seated our server came by to take our drink order. And we didn't see her again for 10 more minutes. Eventually we get our waters and can place our food order. We ordered the Sampler appetizer, which was good but definitely not enough for more than 2 people to share. My salad came and there was barely any dressing and it was in a warmed bowl (doesn't make sense). The food came another 30 minutes later. At least it was hot. The ribs had barely any bbq sauce on them and were not juicy. (Btw they don't come with a moist napkin. So try not to make a mess) The Parmesan Chicken was good, a little dry. The sides were probably the only thing that they did a completely good job on. The service was okay, but don't come here if you're in a rush. Our server kept disappearing in 10 minute intervals and was no where to be found. So an hour and a half later we finally finished eating. Overall, I would skip the location and go to a different Longhorn or even drive and extra 5 min to Outback.

The Service was good, but the food simply bad, the steak was hard, and cold when it arrived at table. I would recommend not to select as your prefer steak house.

Always great food, but we also moved ourselves to the Bar area (wife and I) many moons ago. If they only close one day and remove those nasty carpets/rugs from the dinning room area, they might get better results from that end of the restaurant, where MOST of their business should be conducted. Sincerely, a West Kendalite that loves great food and fine wines at reasonable prices.

So last time I came which was on valentines day i gave this place 3 stars. Longhorn is one of my favorite restaurants, thee top 5 restaurants ... so me trying not to be biased with any restaurant I love to come back to restaurants that I gave poor ratings too just to be fair. This visit was excellent, the staff was attentive from the moment we walked in to the moment they sat us down. The tables were clean and didnt have that old rag smell like my last visit. The server was cool and very attentive, he got our orders right and and went above and beyond expectations. The food was brought to us in a good timely manner, which last time we waited for about over an hour so it came out in less than 20 minutes and it was cooked to perfection. By the way i recommend the outlaw rib eye :D awesome!!! the manager even came by to the tables to introduce herself and ask us if everything was ok.. which is a plus i like that. so A+ good job

Went back to Longhorn last night. I see what everyone means about the service. The food was fantastic, but I am not one to put up with bad service, so that visit will be my last! We got there at 9:30p and they close at 10. The place was practically empty, but it took almost 10 mins to seat us. The hostess grabbed two menus to seat us and then disappeared for over 5 mins. Finally he returns and lets us know we would have to wait a little longer for a booth. I am a little perplexed, as I am seeing a few empty booths nearby. In fact, there is one right behind the hostess's area. Finally I pointed out a 1/2 booth (booth on one side, two chairs on the other) and told him we would be happy to sit there, and we are finally seated!!! Strange...very strange. Our waitress arrives to take our order. We order everything at once as we know the kitchen will close soon. That is the last time we will see our waitress for a very long time! After she delivers the drinks and appetizers, she vanishes! Our food is delivered by another server, and thankfully all is well. I see the waitress prancing back and forth to chit chat with the hostess, but she doesn't once stop by and see how we are doing. On my last bite, she reappears! We ask for take out boxes and long needed beverage refills. She brings them and the check. I tip her accordingly and leave. What a difference from my last visit. Outback, here I come. Never had bad service there, and the food is just as good!

This place gets packed at night so day time is better. The food is good. Just a bit small potions. The service is good and to the point. Would come here again. Prices are mid for what you get. Decorations are nice but a bit dark in there.

This place has reinvented itself. Our server, Nicholas was excellent. We were very surprised at how good the food was. Definitely will be back.

This used to be a favorite but the last three times I've been there the meat has not been cooked to my specifications and it was flavorless. What a disappointment!

i tell ya i'm a snob. i don't like these chains at all. hubby had some sort of steak that was ok. family enjoyed their meals, but I just can't see why i would return. plates are large and you will have leftovers for home for sure. I tried that loaded lobster baked potato and I did not love. waiter was exceptionally attentive on Sunday early afternoon. bread was good. I can't say more b/c it was that forgettable.

Used be regulars here for 10 years or so, but haven't been back much recently; my wife's previous meal here was pretty bad, but the kids made this their choice for lunch today. Service, although nice, was inexperienced and inattentive, this with only a few occupied tables (this place used to get packed!). The food was terrible, another dining-out lesson that really stings after dropping over a hundred bucks on lunch. The Ribeye steak, ordered medium, was way overcooked and bitter, and was sent back. The replacement steak returned a bit less cooked, but every bit as bitter - the source: a unclean grill coated with chicken fat residue. Unacceptable for a $22 steak ordered at a "STEAK" house. The side vegetables were metallic tasting and a confusing blend of over and under-cooked-ness. The Sierra chicken was literally burned black in places, tough and inedible. What a shame. We won't be back again, another used-to-be-decent place lost to mis-management and lack of standards...

I have been to this Longhorn location many times. However, this visit was definitely the worst. We were seated quickly. The appetizer was very good. It all seemed to be going well.... then, our entrees were served. I ordered the sirloin 6oz. with grilled shrimp and mashed potatoes. The steak was burnt on top, and the mashed potatoes were crusted as if left out for a very long time. It did not look appetizing at all. I decided to try the sirloin, but when I looked at the steak knife.... it was dirty with a piece of food on it! I was so disgusted! I told the waitress and she did not even look embarrassed/surprised....she just brought out a new knife. It ruined my lunch. My husband ordered his New York Strip "medium well" and the steak looked rare. I have been disappointed at the service and food here before, but never disgusted. I will not be going back.

Host and hostess were a little on the rude side. We walked in, waited about 3 min, young man with glasses walked up, asked how much in our party we said "5", then all of a sudden he tells us in an agitated manner "just relax one minute we'll sit you right now!" we're all looking at each other confused saying "um ok? That's fine?" We didn't say anything..very weird. The hostess grabs the menu takes us to our table, when we get there I ask her if "we could sit in the table beside it instead?" I had to ask her twice since I noticed she had a sh*t face already and didn't listen to me the first time. Then my aunt notices a better table behind the one we were at and I say "no no this is fine" while I'm saying that, I notice the hostess looking over to the host stand where the young man with the glasses is at, rolling her eyes and mouthing something at our expense to him. I catch it but she doesn't notice I did, or maybe she does and doesn't care. We sit down, look over our menus and I glance over to the hostess stand and notice both of them obviously talking about us and both of them looking at our table shaking their heads. I'm sorry, did we annoy you? How about you all try to be a little patient and courteous instead of being a couple of adolescent brats. Don't know if you were having a bad night at your job and to be honest I don't give a flying you know what, don't project it to your customers. 2 stars because our waiter was nice unlike the two dimwits in the front.

We arrived late on Friday Night 8/6/10 Dinning room still packed from dinner guests who arrived earlier we waited less than 10 minutes to get a booth seat that was very comfy. Our waiter "Adam" A very nice gentleman immediately came over to ask us our drink order and hand us menues. He helped in making our decision for our meal choices by offering advice on what was good. The trio is what I opted for "limited time only item" came with a 7 ounce sirloin, a salmon filet, and chicken filet with portobello mushrooms in a cream sauce. My boyfriend opted for the Churasco he decided on a salad instead of the rice and had the fried plantains. I had the trio that came with a salad and side - I opted for the house salad with ranch dressing and sweet potato with cinnomin and butter. The bread came out hot with honey butter served to our table, we had two loaves with our salads and meal. All throughout our server was consistent in bringing our glasses to the rim with our choice of ice tea drink. Never let our bread basket be empty and our entire stay was welcomeing and enjoyable. The food was fantastic, as was our service. Our meal also ended with someone saying good night as we walked out. It was comforting, almost like family wishing us well on our way home. We definitely enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the courteousness. We will be back!

My wife and I usually hit Outback for a steak dinner every so often on the weekends. This time we wanted to try something other than Outback for steak. Nothing to rave about. Longhorn's steaks lack seasoning. Their Caesar salad also lacked dressing; very dry. Believe it or not, the highlight of my dish was the sweet potato w/butter and brown sugar! Other than that, we will opt for Outback any day.

About (3) years ago this place was a dive. The service was horrible and the food wasen't anything special. I stopped going. I just went back recently to see if there was any change. I must say things have improved. The food is very good. The service is flakey at times. Some nights they blow you away, other nights you feel like taking off. I think my last experience was my last. My food was served and it was then I noticed we didn't have any eating utensils. My waiter was no where in sight. I had to walk to the front to ask for a pair of untensils. The hostess said they were all out of untensils. WTF! The restaurant wasen't busy, it was a Wednesday night! How could you be out of eating utensils? Do you want me to eat my dinner with my face!?!? I won't be back here! The food isn't anything to miss - you can get the same if not better else where!

I've been here many times over the years...and I've never been dissatisfied. The fillet mignon tips with mushroom sauce that they have is superb. They have a chicken dish (can't remember the name of it) that is covered with cheese, bacon, tomato and other goodies on top that is absolutely wonderful. For dessert you have to try the fried cheesecake that they have. It comes in a big glass with whip cream and a strawberry sauce. The cheesecake itself is cubed into little bite sized pieces, breaded and fried. It's absolutely delicious. On Friday and Saturday nights I would recommend arriving early because the wait can get pretty long, but if it's unavoidable then just find yourself a spot at the bar and have a drink while you wait =)

So, I am a meatlover and have been going to Longhorn since I can remember. I love it. The prices are great. The meat is mouthwatering. The service is also great. It's not a 5 star restaurant, but when you can't afford to always go to nice restaurant, it will definitely be a great option.

I visited Longhorn for a special ocassion with my wife. We enjoyed the visit, but within a couple of hours we had terrible stomach pain. We both vomited and spent a lousy night. We contacted the manager the following morning and he apologized and said it happens. We think it was the salads we ate, but we were disgusted with the attitude from management. We swore never to visit this chain and we never have again...there are many other choices....

What can you say about a franchise restaurant. Food is average but what I like about this place are the drinks. They have great cocktails & a really good happy hour. The bartenders are friendly & make huge drinks!

Everything was great! The filet and the rib eye were juicilicious! The bread was served warm, the salad had a great balsamic dressing. So full no room for desser! The waitress was very helpful and sweet. Will be back!

Let me start off with the good! My husband absolutely loves this place! He loves the steak here and even though I'm not the biggest steak fan it is good! The Wild West Shrimp are to die for! Everything we have tried have always been good. The only bad thing is service!!!!! The service in this place really really sucks! That is one thing that really does need to improve.

To be honest, I thought this place had closed down years ago, I guess I was wrong. The food is what I expected, it was good but nothing special. The waitress was a little rude, we had originaly had a party of 2 but they sat us at a table for 4 so when my best friend decided to sit with us until we were done eating we didn't think it was going to be a problem. We didn't even ask for a high chair like we should have. The waitress looked like we were the worst customers ever by having my bestfriend with her child sit with us even though we told her that they won't be eating or drinking anything. Overall this place was nothing special with some good but nothing out of this world kind of food.

Omg!!! either this location needs to close or go by a deep restructuring. Staff is super rude needs training. Restaurant under staffed. I was thrown out of this restaurant because my 2 year baby was crying incredible hope for upper management to look at this review and make quick fixes otherwise I don't see this location surviving.

We came to enjoy a dinner with the kids and ordered 2 rack of ribs. Both came cold below the recomended temperature. I asked for at least one rack to be heat up and they took too long. The waitress did not cared which makes the experience worst.quality of fodd is so low. Brusselsprouts were disgusting, really hard and the dish is just full of cheese sauce and almost no brussel sprouts. Also the green beens are canned or at leat not cooked in the facility. Really disaapointed, not worth going here drive a little bit further to outback.

After visiting this Longhorn location many times I find it's best to sit at the bar if there's room. I've had several dishes and surprisingly the Parmesan chicken is better than everything else I have tried. Although the cuts of meat are decent size for the money, I can prepare a better steak on my own grill. That being said, service is usually pretty good and food comes out quickly when they aren't swamped. Also, be prepared for constant country music as it kinda goes along with the theme. Not a spot I feel is worth a wait if it's busy, but I'll continue to go for a quick bite and beer at the bar.

Sat us down quick but the food took forever! Appetizer never came out with dinner, at least it was free but waitress was a bit overly friendly giving me her phone number and offering me used clothes for my daughter and that she sold Mary Kay!!! WTF???!!! Manager never came to table to apologize for delay even though she did approach table next to us and gave them coupons!!! Won't be returning for a long time... Will continue going to Outback!!!

The food is okay. I had a waiter talk me to sleep. I was trying to inform & critic the food with the person i went with & i literally had to ask her to back off. Very intrusive. The corn was undercooked. & the chicken was overcook. Lesson learned

I think the only "steakhouse" in West Kendall. They have a bar with some TV's and a couple of tables for the bar area, and a good about of seating inside and out(when the weather is good). Been here plenty of times and it's a solid 3-star place- A-OK. I ordered the White cheddar and bacon stuffed fillet, the steak was good like I asked and the cheddar/bacon gave it an alright taste. The Mac and cheese with bacon was also very good. IT had a new crispy top and moist on the inside.

The service in this place was horrible. I got there at 9 pm on a Thursday to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and what an awful experience. We walked in and the host tells us there is a 15-20 minute wait. No one was waiting, I found it hard to believe that there would be a wait that long, when we were the only ones there waiting. I believe that since it was 9 pm and they close at 10, the host was hoping we'd go elsewhere. We decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was not polished enough to socialize with customers. Very rude and slow. My girlfriend ordered a Blue Moon which usually comes with an orange. Well no orange, yet 2 gentlemen come to the bar seconds later to order a Blue Moon and they get 2 oranges. Of course we notice they were regulars there, since they knew the bartender and hostess, but they got thier oranges. The bartender kept telling us. I will be right there? Yet showed up 10 minutes later. Grant you, the bar was empty. She was busy cleaning up, so that she can end her shift asap. I had such a horrible experience, that I wont be back to this place again. My girlfriend and I agreed, this place truly sucked. I have never been dissapointed at Outback. Thats where I will be going to for a steak from now on.

I've been here in the past for appetizers and drinks and its been ok. Staff is always friendly and the wait is not horrendous, HOWEVER I'm extremely disappointed with the steak I had today. I had this gift card I needed to use from here so I came for dinner and ordered a 6oz steak well done with side salad, a burger was ordered and the loaded potatoe soup. Well THIS steak was not only beyond we'll done, it was dry and inedible. The bacon on top was surprisingly not burnt. WTH! I know ordering well done it goes a bit to the dry side but this was ridiculous, dehydrated, almost beef jerky. It was a "free meal" but ughh. All the rest was ok... I think I'm done with this place. Stars for staff and the appetizers and their yummy bread

Cool place. Easy parking. Seated quickly. The steaks were pretty good too. Too bad MY SERVER (male!?!?) asked me for my phone#! Talk about "he wanna hang out". I was seated with a lady friend mind you! I know... just weird and out of place. We finished dinner and left the joint to find out I 4got my cell on the table. I went back 4it only to find out he picked it up and started calling contacts of mine! REAL CRAZY. I didn't formally complain b/c I was in a weird state of shock and just wanted to run away from there! Iz CRAZY out there!!!!!!

The facts: Host sucked. Waitress: Awesome Food: Very good! Drinks: Awesome Price: Decent, and you'll have leftovers for home as the portions are large. Review: The hubby and I decided to visit this steakhouse for my birthday, since it was down the road from our movie theater. After the film, around 7pm, we headed to the restaurant. The entrance is warm and inviting. Our host sucked. A skinny kid, obviously first job, had no personality with one ear listening to a communication device and the other ear barely hearing what we told him. He got my husband's name wrong and when I asked for a booth, he said, "Oh, well then. You're going to wait 30 minutes for that." I was like, hand me a buzzer, I'll wait. 15 minutes later, our buzzer sounded. Definitely not the 30 he promised, and I've read other reviews that they tend to give long wait times as either a method to scare you out the door or a way to cover their asses, so perhaps this was his plan, but he failed miserably. The dining atmosphere is also nice. Table was clean and tidy, mood lighting, everyone was dressed very well. To the point, the food was great. I have to say it. Aside from the host, our waitress was an absolute dream. She was attentive and polite, very sweet. My husband had a stuffed steak (delicious) and I tried the Parmesan Crusted chicken - to die for!! - with a baked sweet potato drizzled in butter and cinnamon sugar. Well done! I also tried the White Peach Sangria - heavenly! Very fresh with berries to top it off. My husband tried a beer, and she brought him a cold glass without prompt. Near the end of the evening, we were approached by the manager. She introduced herself and asked about our visit, then gave us a $5 certificate for our next meal and asked us to visit again soon. She was very polite and her demeanor excellent. I understand that an establishment cannot be wholly rated on their staff, as some people just don't have the work ethic. Thankfully, this place gave us 2 out of 3 with great food, decent prices and amazing drinks. If we get another night out, we're keeping this steakhouse in mind!
