Came on a Saturday evening at 6pm with my 6 yr old daughter. Seated right away at a table overlooking the water. Very attentive and polite, professional waiters. While mine was away preparing my glass of Malbec (took 10min at the max) two others came by to check in on use to be sure we had been served and were happy. Keeping in mind I'm no one special, not wearing a million dollar outfit and unknown from anyone else walking around. This was my personal experience.. Ordered the Malbec from Argentina, $9/glass and definitely worth it. Smooth and rich, perfect for the meal. Warm Italian bread with olive oil and butter was served while we waited for food. Ordered the gnocchi in a pink cream sauce with sundried tomatoes. Very filling and rich, had to bring the rest home. My daughter ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, very generous portion and plenty of meatballs. She loved it. We lingered a while, enjoying the warm breeze off the water and hum of the Latin music down the bay. Was never rushed after eating. Took advantage of an after dinner expresso, another great suggestion from our attentive waiter. Check was only brought after requesting it, not slammed down in front of you like so many crappy places. Very respectful restaurant. Will definitely be back, such a relaxing experience. And the prices are very reasonable.

excerpt: "we just heat up the fries for you" We did NOT eat here. This is merely a review of our experience with the overall presentation of the place from the waiters trying to lure us inside. Read on... A couple months ago we visit Miami. Walking around the Marina looking for a place to eat we pass by Lombardi's and the waiter starts to approach us. I see him and say "yep! We're gonna look at the menu" As we're reading through the menu posted out front we hear the two waiters talking behind is, one asking the other why he didn't approach us and the other screaming "I did!! They were going to look at the menu anyway! Get off my case!!!" I immediately feel tense and want to signal to my BF that we should get the hell outta here. The angry waiter comes over to ask if we have any questions. We say no and that we're just looking. He proceeds to illuminate the menu to us... word for word , the waiter says: "Here we have our tilapia, it's not fresh from the sea or anything. Farm raised, fed corn. We also have a burger or steak, served with fries. The fries come frozen in a bag, we just take them out and heat them up for you. Any dish you see with fries that's what we do" he then proceeds to repeat the part about many of their fish being farm raised, and tells us that the special of the day is just a standard filet with a basic sauce. We obviously leave.

Fettuccine Alfredo, like the rest of the menu, is like Stouffers frozen meals, and the awful food is matched by terrible service with no manager in sight to rescue diners. Skip it and leave Bayside to find much better restaurants elsewhere in Miami.

Food looked great tasted like frozen microwaved food. Pasta was soupy. Service was very slow my waiter kept entertaining guests as opposed to actually serving. Lastly, im lucky I didn't choke on the sub par food as it took on average ten minutes to get my water refilled. In addition, tip is already included in the bill so I did not even get the chance to tip low.

Ate here for date night with my husband it was nice and the food was outstanding we shared the antipasto app it was really fresh we could have ordered two I had the chicken Parmesan it was exactly as I liked it very thin crispy not too much sauce very very hot which is not a complaint he doesn't want hot food. My husband ordered the mahi-mahi it looks great and it tasted great a little bland could use a little more seasoning but overall it was good we share the tiramisu at the end which is inhouse made it was very very good to

It was ok......I wasn't crazy about it. The food would have been good if it was hot but it was cold. The drinks were great and I will say the crab cake was very good. Would I return I don't know...

We were stuck at the Miami Sailboat Show and this place was right there. I give it two stars because they allow everyone to use their restrooms during the show and they were clean. The service is absolutely horrible. The food was okay, nothing special. I have to say it again, the service was horrible, horrible at the bar and at the dinner table. We had a large crowd and sat waiting for them forever. Several people send back their food because it was not even warm. I had pizza, you really can't mess that up too badly. Won't be going back.

This place is the worst, CAUTION !!!!! Me and my wife decided to have a few drinks at the bar was told a live salsa band would be performing later so we hung out for a bit, went to the dance floor was then told it would be another 10 each to dance. WTF?? This after I paid my 60$ bar tab. Then we leave & stand outside for 15 minutes, I thought maybe they didn't know we were at the bar earlier so I go back inside and speak to the bartender who was serving us nope same answer 10 each, I leave. Now the manager comes outside & accuses me of skipping out on my tab, things get heated he calls the cop's, I ended up having to pay again to avoid going to jail (mind you I'm booked on a cruise the next day) after the whole ordeal I find my original receipt showing the 1st payment, management still would not listen, DO NOT GO HERE!!!! THEY WILL SCAM YOU. CRIMINALS. TOURIST TRAP!!!!!!!!

Our Memorial Day get-away. Ordered Bisteca Alla Brace New York, white pizza, Fettuccine Al Limone Con Pollo, and a seafood appetizer (I can't remember the name). The bisteca was okay, white pizza not so great, fettuccine tasted like less of a mac n cheese, and we never received our seafood appetizer! The waitress was NOT tentative at all! We asked for lemonade and got water with lime. Appetizer never came. The waitress wasn't around to ensure everything was okay or if we needed anything. So needless to say, no refills. Then we were ready to pay...we could have walked out but we have too much integrity. The best part..."Latin" music and dancing!

Visits the area and was looking for a spot to have lunch. The menu posted on the door for lunch looked really appealing. We had the pizza and the fried tilapia at a table off of the marina. The door was tasty, the fried tilapia was moist and the pizza had a nice texture and was plenty for a lunch. The food came quickly, service was prompt and accurate. We really enjoy the outdoor dining experience.

Poor service and food is not bad. Bayside doesn't have much to offer so this is an ok place to slam down some Italian and go home with a full belly. Had the pasta genovese and it was good. Also had the churassco and a cheese pizza and we enjoyed it. The bread when hot is like a delicious English muffin. If they had good service and the a/c actually worked, it would be more solid place. The service slowness is the one deal breaker. They are very aggressive about getting folks sat. Overall would eat here again just would make sure I was not in a rush.

Not as bad as all the reviews make out. We were here with some colleagues and the waiter, Eduardo, was very attentive. One of our colleagues had a severe egg allergy so he made sure to ask the cook what could be eaten. The food was ok, not great, just ok... but overall it was an enjoyable experience.

The food was decent but the service was terrible!!! It took them forever to get us the food and during our meal a homeless man walked up to us and asked us for money and the wait staff did nothing. Normally I don't have a problem with people asking for money but that was ridiculous. The waiters were also incredibly rude. They are there to cater to the customer but they acted like it wasn't their job. If you can help it, NEVER GO HERE.

  • Pattyann B.

We were lured in by the aggressive host with the specials and then when we got in the waiter didn't give us the menus. The food was bland and everything tasted frozen. They charged more to my card than I had asked them to, tip was automatically included on our check, and we were given the wrong check three times. Make sure to check your bill closely if you do decide to come to this place.

I went for a date night and I had the worst service! I ordered what was suppose to be the best dish on the menu and when they brought it out, it definitely didn't look appealing nor did it match the description on the menu. The description said it was seafood stew like, when it came out it was a full plate of pasta and literally a small hand full of seafood mixture. On top of that, we had to wait about 30 minutes or so to receive our meal. We also were done with our drinks and the server never once came to ask us if we would like a refill. After I looked at our food and picked out all the seafood to the side, I called our server and told him is not what I had expect to order, on the menu it never said it was going to be a dish full of pasta so if I could get something else or if he could take it off my bill I would appreciate it but he said he can recook it for us and that is not what I wanted so I asked him for the manager and he says he is the manager and that we don't have to pay for anything and to get out. I never in my life received a service like that. I offered to pay for my drinks and appetizer I had order but he was so rude and yelled get out. I will never go there again and I highly recommend that no one goes there. Out of all the restaurant around there, this place had literally nobody dining in there, I guess I should've know since it was dead on a Saturday night not to dine there.

The food was okay. Not that special. Maybe that's why I don't remember even. My other three friends didn't like theirs food also French fries. They were not happy.

As I visited bayside I was craving something Mediterranean or Italian. Now, I understand that the location plays a role in pricing dishes, however the food served here is way to expensive for what you're really getting. There are far better restaurants in bayside than this one. I'd much rather spend my money at hooters than this place. The service was just as bad. We got odd answers for the dishes we asked about and had a hassle splitting the bill. Will never return.

We had pizza, salad with chicken, and ravioli. The service was good and prompt. The restaurant was quiet. The pizza was good but not great. It is next to the marketplace. It was cool inside which was the big draw for us. I would give 3.5 stars if it were possible.

I have been going to Lombardi's for years! The food is always delicious and the service is top notch! Not to mention the owner is a great person who truly cares about people. I highly recommend this restaurant to all locals and tourists!

Where else but Miami, can you eat Little Italy style and here live Salsa music playing next door? Late Saturday night dining, party of 4.5 and the service was great. Typical Southern Italian fare, the waiter was gracious, the food was very good, the portions generous without being grossly exaggerated, and the prices reasonable. Maybe they listened to the previous reviews, maybe we were lucky. But I'd definitely go back.

Food- 1/5 Service 3/5 The food here wasn't typical Italian. It had an Italian look but lacked flavor in every way. The calamari appetizer tasted burnt. Perhaps, the restaurant could change their oil and the dish wouldnt have such a poor aftertaste. The pasta dishes weren't good either. Who messes up penne? Only thing tasty was the salad.

Wow. This was terrible. Even for the "tourists" in Miami (though maybe not to those of us who are from NYC...). Where do I start? Let's begin with the service. For the first half of our meal, it seemed like our server kept arguing with us about, well, everything. We asked for a drink list. He said they don't have one. We asked him what beers were on tap. He just stared at us blankly and then walked away. It was so bad that one person in our party actually stood up, walked inside to the bar, and looked at the taps and reported back. When we ordered our food, the server couldn't handle clarifications or additions because he "couldn't remember" them that way. Um, if you've got a problem with that, how about write it down? I was running the ING Miami Marathon the next day and I simply needed some spaghetti to carb load and a beer to wash it down with. We didn't have enough time to go somewhere else because with the race starting at 6am, we needed to hurry up and eat so it could all be digested by the time we crossed the start line. Service got *slightly* better after an actual fight erupted behind us with another table of two who were clearly upset. Their server made a mistake and ordered an additional dish that they didn't order. The server brought it back to the kitchen. The F'n *manager* brought the dish back out and argued with the table trying to get them to take it. They refused. There was a SCENE. A big one. Our food took an hour to come out. When it came out, one person's food was cold. Are you guys kidding me? The only thing that this place has going for it is the amazing harbor view from the outdoor cafe. That's it. The food was mediocre, the service was terrible, and I'm not into places that actively fight with you over something so basic as ordering and inquiring what is on the menu. We'll be back to Miami but we won't be back to Lombardi's.

The eye of a cynical New Yorker spoiled by passionate restaurants at home can clearly see the quality of food in Lombardi's and probably everything else in this strip by the water would be subpar. The food is not bad, but it's not great. The wait service was a slow and inattentive. Drinks were blah. But at the time it did provide a large table in the shade with enough room to comfortably maneuver a stroller.

I'm shocked to see such low ratings for this place, but maybe I just got lucky. I had the special of the night; lobster crab ravioli, and it was fabulous. They brought out bread, oil, and vinegar, which is always good. I'm not sure what else to say, but my meal was very good, haven't tried anything else!

Reading this while standing outside Lombardi's? Trust me when I say: Keep Walking. My wife, friends, and I were in town for the Miami Marathon and needed a place to carb up the night before the race. Since we were staying fairly close to Bayside Market, we opted to grab dinner at this Italian place. Mistake. Our waiter, for lack of a better word, was incompetent. It was clear that English wasn't his first language, which is fine but becomes extremely frustrating when it's affecting your experience. We had to ask several times for everything from cleaning off the table from the previous diners, menus, silverware, beer selection, etc. More often than not he'd just skirt around the answer and walk away. One of us had to head inside just to find out what beer they had on tap. After getting through the ordering process, we began what can only be described as the longest wait for freaking pasta in the history of Miami itself. During this wait we were treated to a show though, so at least there was that. A show, you ask? Yep! The plot basically boiled down to two fellow patrons also facing extreme waits and horrible service, only to be brought a dish they did not order. Upon sending it back, the MANAGER walks out with the dish and proceeds to insist that they ordered it and they MUST take it. One of the patrons understandably loses her cool and makes a big scene. Eventually the manager takes the dish away, AND the woman refuses (and gets away with) paying for what she did order! It was epic. Oh, and totally real. That. Actually. Happened. We finally get our food and while most of our dishes were pretty much ok, one came out stone cold. After a surprisingly easy discussion with the waiter compared to the previous disaster, they took that dish off of our bill. Clearly some semblance of damage control. This place is hands down terrible. The food is nowhere near worth the pain you go through to get it. And any place that has the manager come out to argue with his guests is no place I want to dine. I mean, really? Not only is that the most tacky and cheap-ass of moves, EVERYONE within 50 feet could hear the commotion, including those who were potentially interested in dining here. Never ever again.

An amazing harbor view and Italian food..what else could I ask for. Or so I thought. Terrible Food. Boiled Spaghetti just tossed in Olive Oil with absolutely no flavor. Small portion size. Bad Service. High Prices. A 20% tip is already added to the bill..which ensures they have nothing to work hard for.

Would probably never come here again. The food was okay..Nothing special. We ordered a crab cake and chicken parmesan. We got one crab cake for $12 bucks and the chicken Parmesan was a little burnt. And the service and the presentation of the food was horrible.

I went here before a concert at the AAA and I was happy that we were seated and attended to by the waiter right away. We waited for well over an hour and our food had not arrived to the table. I had noticed that 3 other tables in our section had not been served either, and they were starting to get annoyed as well and leave. We asked for the waiter so we could pay for the bottle of wine that we ordered and leave cause we were going to miss the concert. The poor waiter ran up to us with tears in his eyes and begged us to stay, and told us our food would be out in 2 minutes. We felt bad for him because we knew it wasn't his fault. We stayed and I must say the food wasn't horrible. I was very disappointed though that after the inconvenience of having us wait so long for our food that nothing was done to apologize for this. This place really needs help with their kitchen staff and their management. Someone call Gordon Ramsey!!!!!!!

Started off our family vacation in Miami for a night before we jumped on our cruise. We were hungry and we ended up going to Lombardi's, it was a terrible mistake. First of all, there are many doors so people are entering the restaurant from everywhere and looking to be seated. A staggered waiter comes to us an seats our family. We sit and wait.....no menus.....we asked for them and the waiter brought them over. We place our orders and wait....I ask for bread for the table and wait. We ended up waiting over an hour for our lunch to be served. We had some lunch specials and salads. It should never have taken 1 hour. So there are 6 people in my party 3 were served and the 3 people that ordered salads were not served. And still we waited, spoke to the waiter who wasn't helpful.....finally after our other 3 family members finished their lunches, we were served our salads. Ok, so we had crappy service and food that was just ok. To top it all off, we get the bill and for my 4 year old son, I ordered plain pasta, nothing on it, they had the nerve to charge me $15 for a bowl of plain pasta. On the bill, I was charged for a pasta dish I did not even order. There wasn't even butter on it! I speak to the waiter and states there is nothing he can do. I ask for the manager, he reluctantly comes over and says, "what can I do this is what we charge, we pick another pasta dish because there is no way I can charge you for just plain pasta" and the man walks away from me. So to sum it up, the food sucked, the service was atrocious and they ripped me off. I have never had such a bad experience at a restaurant before as soon as I came home from vacation, I had to share my experience there. Don't waste your time at this place there are so many superior restaurants in the area.

I like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt so we are there. This was spot on onto the reviews. Bland food for the price. Don't eat there! I hate the bill where they add on gratuity automatically like it is expected in Miami. Well, I actually adjusted the gratuity amount lower on the receipt due to their luke warm service. Food came out soooo late. Come to find out they ran it at the amount of full gratuity when I checked my credit card statement!

I have been here 3 times. Last night I went with a group for my birthday. I had made reservations with a waiter named manuel over the phone 2 days before. When we got there manuel was waiting for us and was very welcoming. He Gave us a beautiful table outside by the water. We told him we needed to be out of the restaurant within 90 minutes because we had a boat ride to go on. We also asked for separate checks which usually is something a waiter does not like to do but he gladly accommodated us The food came quickly and it was delicious. We got to our boat ride 15 minutes ahead of schedule. I have never had a bad meal here and never had a bad experience either. I don't know why this restaurant does not get higher ratings but I recommend it highly. Thank You Manuel for the great service.

The waiter who attended to us was really nice and friendly Unfortunately the quality of the food and environment really wont have me going back again - the pricing and portion of food do not equal out... Sorry Lombardi - I will have you stick to attending to the tourist.

I went here recently for a business lunch as one of the people in our group was hungry for Italian and wanted to try Lombardi's. The place was nearly empty so we could choose where we wanted to to sit. If you enjoy having a view while you eat you'll be pleased to know that they have lots of window seating facing the bay as well as tables that face the main midway of Bayside Marketplace. The service was just OK, but not very attentive and the food took a while to be delivered. Before our main courses were delivered we all could've used a refill on our drinks, but the server never came around to check on us. The food was good but was a touch on the bland side just as other reviewers have noted. As others have also mentioned, this place is pricey when it really doesn't deserve to be. Indeed, I had the Fettuccine al Limon con Pollo (Fettuccine w/ grilled chicken in a white wine sauce). It wasn't terribly flavorful, there wasn't a great amount of chicken and the price of this dish was $18 for lunch. One other item of note is that the men's restroom was dank and musty smelling. It kinda smelled like the bathroom in my great aunt's basement - the one that had the same pee-soaked carpeting for 20 years in a basement that flooded with the first drop of rain. Yeah, not good.

This was my second time going to Lombardi's. That last time I went there was in 2008 and the food was excellent. From the Calamari appetizer, to the main course the entire experience was great. Our waiter was also very helpful and funny at the same time.

On July 4, 2013, I decided to celebrate Independence Day and I pick Bayside Marketplace as the place to go. I was a little skeptical of restaurants there due to bad reputation but once I received to Lombardi's Ristorante, my mind completely changed. Upon arrival, the manager offered my an amazing view table overlooking American Airlines Arena and Biscayne Bay. Then the courteous server arrived, he recommended a focaccia to start(very yummy) and then I select Mahi-Mahi as a main course(the fish was very fresh and well cook). Server was very attentive and the prices were very reasonable for the location and the view. Im planning to celebrate my birthday there. I cant wait to go back.

Was just picking up a few things in Bayside Mall the other day, and decided to give this place a try for lunch. I really enjoy bayside because it is convenient for people who live in the downtown area. The restaurants are so bad here. I get this is a tourist area but it is really to bad not one restaurant, can get it right. :( Our waiter, was o.k. and friendly, that is the one star, otherwise no star. The pasta dishes were not even cooked, bland and cold. EEK... The waiters were standing behind our booth as we were trying to eat, talking and talking and more talking. What a peeve, for me. Waiters should go in an area where the paying customers can not hear your converstaions about what you did last night and etc.... who cares!!! I have given Bayside restaurants to many chances.....NO MORE!!! $38.00 with tip for lunch that we could not even eat and to top it off the manager (owner ??) could care less as he walked past our table and the look on my face and a full plate in front of me was quite obvious how I felt....... Not a very clean restaurant. Save your hard earned $$$$

I don't go to Bayside very often, for obvious reasons, but we found ourselves there on Saturday night, so we made the best of the situation. The hostess emphatically stated that this was the best restaurant in Bayside, and the scary thing is that she might actually be right. Despite the fact that there were empty tables, it took about a half-hour to be seated. Then, it took about another hour to receive our food. The food was mediocre at best, probably Olive Garden-level or only slightly higher. In other words, this place made us wait an hour and a half for what would otherwise be two-star food. Avoid at all costs.

Ok, this place was THE WORST!! Now, me and my friends came here after going to a Heat game, late on a Saturday night, looking for cuisine everyone would like (picky eaters, Italian was the compromise). We saw that Lombardi's had plenty of tables available...in fact, it was empty. That should've been tell tale sign number 1...but we were eager to eat, and just wanted to sit SOMEWHERE already. The waiter seats us...and then the fun begins....me and some of my girlfriends head to the bathroom while we wait for our meals...not only is the inside of the bathroom as dirty as one you would find in a third-world country (NOT MIAMI!), there was some woman attendant holding the door open the whole time. To top that off, there were chincy items for sale INSIDE the bathroom (yes, you read that right), lining the mirror and sink. I wish I could say the bathroom was the worst part, but wait, theres more.... We get our food, and we're all hungry. I ordered a burger, which actually wasnt too bad, it was actually quite tasty, but the fries they served with it tasted like they had been fried in oil that had burned. My friend got calamari, and her dish tasted the same, burnt. Another friend of mine ordered the chicken alfredo, and complained the chicken was dry...and also went on to say that the chicken alfredo was the 2nd worst hes ever tried. Another friend of mine didnt mind the taste of the alfredo..so they switched. After eating the alfredo for about 3 minutes, I looked up at her, and it looked like she was about to gag. She then proceeded to spit her food into a napkin. When we asked her what happened, she said there was a strand of HAIR in her food!! And she knew it wasnt hers because not only had she once tasted her own hair before (it happens...), but the mouthful she got was from the way bottom of the dish...so it was cooked in there. It took us about 5 minutes to get our waiters attention (who, by the way, NEVER checked on us once we got our meals), and once we told him about the hair in the food, he offered to have the chef make another one( i mean, seriously?!). My friend declined, she was grossed out...we all were...and the waiter proceeded to tell us that they could not give a refund. We didnt even put up a fight, but promptly asked for the check, paid and left 2 minutes later. The ambiance of the place was good, and the location was great, but the service and the food were downright HORRIBLE!! 3 thumbs down!! If you read this review and stil decide to go, then u must not value a good dining experience.

A really don't like Bayside restaurants, but after the outdoor show on Friday, we headed to Lombardi's on friends' suggestion. It's okay - not the best Italian I've had, but not the worst either. They said it wasn't very pricey, but being in Bayside I should have known better. We all went for the daily specials which ranged between $11-$13 - that's fine, but if you want something from the menu, be prepared to overpay (at least for the kind of food you're eating). If you go, also be prepared to have the horrible music they're playing at their "disco" blaring in your ear. Yeah, the noise level was bearable enough that we could talk, but the music sucked - it was way to early on a Friday night to endure. Good thing - we had a dog with us, and they didn't give us a hard time about him being there. Even brought out a plastic bowl for him to drink water - though we had to ask them for it, where I'd rather they had offered it. Service wasn't good or bad. They do include 15% gratuity on their check, so that may have something to do with why the waiters weren't necessarily nice or eager to please. I give it two and a half stars... but not enough to warrant the extra star on this review.

Stumbled onto this place while exploring the area. The food was very good and their specials were excellent. Dinner entrees for ~$10, they were tasty and well portioned.

this place sucks.....over priced and the food is horrible. my wife orderd the chicken parm and it was rock hard seems like they precook them in the morning and just microwave them when you order it, I've had tv dinners that taste better then this did. I orderd the mahi put it in my mouth and spit it out, totally inedible. Stay away from this place or you will be sorry and if you dare and eat here just stick with the salad hard to get that wrong.

Lombardi's was about as bland as you can get for an Italian place. Service was attentive and eager. This was the only good point at Lombardi's. THE FOOD= I started with a Caprese Salad. It was mediocre. It was not stunning, and was small compared to other places. I then had the Lasagna. Here is where my food issues begin: The meat had been microwaved while frozen, then the Lasagna was made. You could taste it clearly. The sauce was nothing special. It was a $16 Lasagna for one which tasted worse than an $8 Lasagna for four from the Freezer Aisle. I usually order dessert at this point, but did not have the courage to risk it. SERVICE= Once again, the server was the only redeeming quality. he would make any restaurant proud. Too bad he couldn't go work at Soyka and make a difference. In my opinion, Lombardi's should just be a mall kiosk selling food on styrofoam plates. The prices are too high by 30% for the food quality provided. Once again, if you are at Bayside, and you are craving Italian, walk over to Tre or Fratelli Milano

My husband & I ate here few times. It is overpriced. Most dishes are OK, but nothing special. Service is mostly poor. We wouldn't go back here.

This Italian restaurant is fair at best, the food is overpriced and the service stinks (is it that hard to make a jack and coke...please people). The food tastes like it has been pulled from the freezer and nuked in the microwave. The only benefit is the view and atmosphere is good. Do waste your money here for Italian food because it is not worth it...Go to Fratelli Milano for the real deal.

Located at the Bayside Marketplace, near the Hard Rock Cafe, Lombardi has a nice view, good service and genuine Italian menu with decent pastas. Nothing remarkable, cheese didn't seem very fresh etc, but all in all nice place for a casual dinner.

They RAN OUT of oyster. =( How can you run out of oyster if you're near the water?? There were a bug on the menu and a bug on the table. Definitely, not as clean as I thought it would be. The calamari was alright. The chicken and mango salad was pretty big in size but the mango was a bit sour. The pasta was too starchy that you can even taste the wax on it. The best thing there for me was the ravioli with the sauce.

On the last night of my stay in Miami, my colleagues wanted to come here as they said they had a good experience here the week before. Well, I have to wonder if they were at the same restaurant because I thought this place catered to unsuspecting tourists. The ambiance is nice - white table cloth, rich wood tones and soft lighting which is appealing. We ordered the focaccia with tomato oil, shallots, fine herbs & parmesan cheese. It was served warm and it was flavorful. For my entree, I ordered the Fettuccini di Frutti di Mare (shrimp, scallops, mussels in pink sauce). I requested garlic and EVO in place of the pink sauce. At first, I didn't think they were going to substitute that for me but after what seemed like 5 minutes, we got it worked out. This dish was okay - nothing memorable. For dessert, I ordered the carrot cake and it was dry and tasteless. The service was poor. Our server would forget to bring drinks (there were 7 of us); he would disappear for endless amounts of time and overall wasn't very attentive. I had some great meals in Miami, but Lombardi's wasn't one of them.

Waiter Arnado put a tip in bill without telling me, I added a customary tip. Didn't realize until I got to hotel. Unethical, I would go to a more ethical restaurant.

All of the other Yelp reviews confuse me... Maybe this is new but I attended for a late dinner and ordered off of the special dinner menu. My meal was only $12.99 and I ordered the linguini which was...superb. I agree that the waiters were not the best waiters I've ever seen. We had to ask for refills and we never received bread. But the price alone and the quality of my meal is worth the 4 star rating. It was also extremely relaxing sitting outside in the warm night next to the water. I would definitely go back and order something else off of the special menu. I really want to because my rating seems to be the highest and I wonder if I just lucked out =P Unfortunately I don't find myself in Miami that often.

An extraordinary expirience, view is un matched the staff will go out if their way to make you happy!! Owner Mr. Fatih knows how to treat his customers and the food quality is un matched in miami for the price. I highly recommend it wether you are on vacation or a local from miami... Way to go lumbardi's . Jorge C.

Nice atmosphere. Nice waiter too. Food just fair. Cheese on the carpaccio was hard as a rock, but plentiful. I just can never understand how anyone that runs a restaurant could let mediocre food come out of their kitchen. Obviously not owner occupied and or poor management. Just because it's in a tourist area, they should never assume that locals don't eat there too, and more of a reason they should be on their game. Still ok overall.

Can you give 0 stars? This place was horrible from the get-go. No "hostess. " mirrored bathroom that made you dizzy. And best of all... ANTS. in the red pepper shaker. That we shook all over our pizza. We waved the manager over he took the SLICE and when I asked for all food to be removed from ant infested table he looked annoyed. He then offered a new pizza (I think) but did not offer any apology. We declined new pizza and everyone's meal was ruined by ants. Thennnn the bill comes. Fully charged (minus pizza). Um sir have you heard of customer service. I confront the manager who basically laughs in my face. I address his laughs and he still, no apology in sight, takes off the food. You are disgusting mr blue shirt manager and so is your restaurant.

Most complain about the food or the service. Both were very average but the location is excellent. That said, I found a blonde hair in my pizza. Mgr instantly said that it did not come from the pizza. Really annoyed me that they immediately thought I was lying about it. Will never come here again.

Awful. Very rude. We sat at the table for 15 minutes before anybody came and they didn't apologize. This is truly one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. I never got a chance to eat there. Manager was on the phone the whole time. We went to trade winds which had incredible service and scene. Do not go there.

I hate the fact that this place even gets a star, after the experience that a group of friends and I had at this joke of a restaurant. If you're at the Bayside Marketplace, keep walking - even if everything else is sub-par, you'll still have a much better experience than you would at Lombardi's. We made the mistake of sitting down in this restaurant, even when it was 3/4 empty on a Friday night. From other reviews, it seems that the quality of service here is hit or miss - in our case, a total miss. I think that the longest sentence our server said to us was "What would you like to drink?". His interactions and attentions were extremely brief and minimal - after placing our drink orders, two other servers brought us water and bread, at our request. We didn't see our server for nearly half an hour after ordering. I guess he was at the end of his shift... Food arrived and it was definitely not worth the price. The fish salad contained almost no dressing and the lasagna that our group received was cold. We ate, however, as we were starving. Server returned twice(?) during the course of the meal and was pretty much silent the whole time - other waiters refilled our waters and other drinks. Server presented no opportunity for us to ask for anything else or earn the automatic gratuity. At the end of the meal, when I asked to speak to management, I was rather shocked at the reaction that I got. When informed of the fact that the service was terrible, the manager got mad and asked me "What do you want me to do? Fire him? Take off the tip? He's a good server." It became rather clear why the service and the food at this place is so shoddy. Spend your money somewhere else.

To be frank, I was there because I was basically a tourist. I came for the waterfront, the close proximity to shops, and to experience some fine(ish) dining - and I mean that VERY loosely. Bread was fresh and warm. Service was extremely friendly. Too bad no one worked in the kitchen, because it took forever for our food to come. The "lunch specials" were just as expensive as the regular prices. I got a linguine with clams and red sauce which I thought tasted really great, at least for a person who isn't an Italian food connoisseur. Everyone else I was with seemed satisfied as well, though portions could have been bigger for the price. My dish was nearly $20. But...ultimately I got what I paid for: an enjoyable meal by the water.

I just got back from eating here with 7 other people. The place was HORRIBLE. I got a chicken mango salad, First, the chicken was so over cooked that it was just edible, it was a crunchy and dry chicken, terrible. Also, the name of the salad is chicken mango, But mine did not come with any mango. My mom had the same salad and she didn't even eat it because it was so bad, she had one sliver of mango and that was it. Total rip off. Every person at the table had a bad meal and we told the server and he shrugged his shoulders like he didn't even care. I have been living in Miami for a while and this is one of the worst meals I have eaten in Miami. It's a good thing that the tourists will keep this place in business because I know the locals won't eat here. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT A OVER COOKED MEAL AND WITH ONE OF THE MAIN INGREDIENTS MISSING.

We walked into this restaurant looking for a place to grab a quick salad and head back to an event we were attending. We were greeted and seated right away an brought our drinks timely. I ordered an Arnold Palmer and was brought an overly ice tea with a lime. I didn't mind at this point. We asked to see the lunch specials that we noticed outside and enticed us to eat there, and since they were not on the actual menu- the waiter simply told us- he didn't know what they were, but we could go outside and look. So I went outside and took a picture on my iPhone so my friend and I could order something. My friend and I that were dining together are both vegetarians and I have lots of allergies (gluten, dairy, potatoes) and so she ordered a ceaser salad and I ordered the mixed greens with chicken and lemon oil and asked for them to substitute vegetables for the chicken. Firstly, the waiter didn't know what vegetables they had and just guessed a couple to put on which was fine and then left with our order. He came back ten minutes later to ask me if I wanted my carrots cooked in which I informed him I did not. He then came back a second time to tell me that the kitchen would not do substitutions. At this time, the table next to us was brought their food which was a dish of French fries with grilled chicken (burnt) on top and they later informed us that they had actually ordered a chicken pasta. I informed our waiter that I was not going to pay ten dollars for lettuce and oil and he told me he would ask one more time and come back to let me know. When he came back with another tables food, I told him to not worry about the salad but to just bring me the avocado appetizer instead to make it easier for everyone. He told me that he couldn't cancel it because they already started making the dish, but he had never come back to tell me yes or no. He came back five minutes later with bread (after my friends request, 25 minutes later) and I asked him about the switch and he told me he forgot to cancel it and I had to force him to cancel it after telling him I didn't even want it anymore. I got my food right after but my friend got hers after I had already finished mine. We never got any refills on any of our drinks and we had to wait at least ten minutes after waiving him down. All in all, a terrible experience and very unprofessional setting. Has potential for a great environment but hasn't met it yet.

Why am I rating this place so low? Well, the food was bland and tastes microwaved and the service was horrible and slow. It took over an hour to get our food. We had to go find our waiter 2 times for an update ... Since he disappeared when our order was taking too long. We were never once offered anything to make up for the L O N G wait. The food, in one word, sucked! Bland, COLD and overpriced. Don't go. Try fratelli Milano a few blocks away; it's way better. Only positive: the bread was warm.

Not sure why all the reviews were bad... Great service, great view, and good food.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
