They have a "so call DJ" on monday nights.. I mean c'mon, they pay this guy to just press play... not to mention that the music wasn't all that great. Oh and on another note, he was never behind his equipment. He spent more of his time outside the bar. Food is good as always. $7 pitcher specials. Not too shabby. But seriously, invest your money somewhere else besides a DJ. Or bring a DJ who has a better following. Ask for Mandy, she's a great server!

First time here and last time here. Went with friends that said this place was great ! Said there was a good live band , I was like sure lets go! This bar is a dive in every definition of dive . I was like did I die , because this is exactly how I would picture hell. I said Beetlejuice 3 times but he didn't appear so I figured I must be still alive. I heard one female friend ask another if there was a zombie apocalypse . One of my buddies is in love with their punching bag game that tells how hard you can punch and I think it's pretty cool too. The band was pretty lame . The crowd was mostly old ass people , uglies and skanks. I heard some dude tell a girl "hey tits can I buy you a drink " LOL. I wanted to leave but didn't want to be rude to friends. The waitress was really nice and attentive I would give her 5 stars . I didn't eat here , maybe the food is good? I went around 12 at night . Probably would be great fun if you got rip roaring drunk! But then again isn't that what bars are for? Great places for uglies to get someone drunk enough to take them home? Be careful from what I saw you might wake up and roll over and be like ugh!

Love this place, love the food and people, but... The live music is TOOOO LOUD!!! I'm not too old, I promise. It used to be great, but over the past year or two, it has been getting louder and louder and louder. The room is not big enough for the volume! It vibrates your chest! I have been choosing Corbett's more and more, so I can actually talk to my companions! Joe, tell them to turn it down a coupla clicks!!

I try to visit this place and the first tome I just turn around and left but this time I came to see The Dropouts and let me tell ,great dive bar and they open until late. They have live bands , Kareoke, pool tables. It's a nice place for adults to come have a drink and enjoy, Lauren our waitress was really on point and fast with drinks and appetizers. This place is a "come as you are" place , jeans, shorts, dress ... whatever, just come ready to have a good time.

My spot for Wednesday night karaoke/ladies night. And I will occasionally go on a Sunday. The waitresses know me as I'm a regular. I like their food...the clam chowder is the absolute best. Always served hot. My only gripe is that besides Wednesday nights, they really have no drink specials. I found it odd to go to an Irish Pub on St. Patrick's Day and the only "special" was green beer. But, for karaoke, this is definitely my spot.

I have been a patron of Little Hoolies for the past few years. Every now and then I pop in on a Sat or Sun night. Saturday nights offer live music (a local rock band) and Sunday night is Karaoke night. I have never seen a band I didn't like, and karaoke night actually has performers that won't hurt your ears. I get the feeling that most of the performers are from up and coming bands, as they all rock the house! The bar itself reminds me of Cheers, as there are alot of friendly regulars there! It's not as nice as Cheers, as it's dark, smoky, and well...a litlle seedy! But it's definitely fun. One of the most interesting things about Little Hoolies is the unusual clientele. The folks here range in age from 20 to 50 somethings...and it's predominantly caucasian..I didn't realize they were any Caucasians left in Dade county..lol..but the few that are left seem to gather here! Having said that, the unusual mix works very well and makes for some interesting people watching. The dancing in particular makes me laugh! Other forms of entertainment include several pool tables, video games, and lots of large screen TV's. As far as the service, its always good. The waitresses are attentive, the drinks are good ( no watered down crap here), and the chicken wings are decent. My absolute favorite...the Kamikaze shots! Just don't do too many ;)

I must admit, I haven't been to this place in YEARS, because the smoke would blast you into the next time zone!!!!! I mean it used to be so much smoke, it could give you lung cancer after one visit.....But now, they are SMOKE FREE! Very good move on management's part. I will be back.....Good bartenders, decent wings, and no smoke! Great place to chill and watch a game......Now as far as getting a girl, that's a different story. I haven't seen so many men in one place since I left the Navy. :-P. Have a lady's night or something... ;-)

Last 2 times we went there was on Saturday Nights in March and April.Both times we got there at 8:45 before it got busy.We,party of 4,both times took us 10 minutes to "drag & beg"a waitress to take our orders.Both times they were simple orders of house wings and cheese burgers and both times it took 1 hour and 20 minutes to get our food which turned out to be horrible,esp.the burgers.During this time,the place was not very busy and complaints to staff and management yielded no satisfaction.Both times the bands were so so.......so never again.

I've been dipping in and out of here for years. Years I tell 'ya! Smokey, loud, and the cocktail glasses are tiny and crammed with ice. Fortunately for them, they are adjacent to The Wolfe Den. About the only thing appealing about the joint is the live music.

I go on Friday and Saturday nights when they have local rock bands playing. Some are better than others but I think it's just a matter of personal preference of your favorite artists and songs. What I like is that there is close and ample parking, even when Publix and Outback have customers at 10'ish. It's been mostly full to packed but I've always found seating, even if it's at the benches at the pool tables. By the way, the pool players will always allow for new players to get in, so if you do wait, it's not really a long time. The waitress have always been great, accommodating and friendly. They're always circulating about and will happily get a glass of water when you request it. It is dark with middle-aged customers in casual attire and there is always smoking. I've been there when it's been a cloud of smoke or last night when only a hand-full of people were smoking. But, you will always have some level of smoke in the air. A few times, though, the bathroom has been really really bad but I'm happy to say that last night, even at 2am it was decent. If you want to have some level of conversation, don't sit near the dance floor or band stage because it does get loud in those areas. Speaking of the dance floor, it is rarely packed but when it is, it's a blast. I've always found the people there to be very friendly, meeting lots of new people and having very casual and easy conversations every time I go.

I have tried to give this place so many chances,but no Bueno! I give it 2 stars only because the waitresses are pretty and nice LOL! The food tastes like they stuck it in the microwave frozen,and the beer just seems so overpriced. Beware !! Of some of the characters that go here!!

Was at Hoolie's a few nights ago. Had a good time drinking and playing some pool with friends and some of the locals. After a few hours I had an emergency and had to run out. However, by the time I was finished, it was too late to come back but I knew they had my card holding my tab so it would be fine. The next day I came in to settle my tab and after seeing an itemized list of my tab, I was shocked. They had charged me for about $25 worth of drinks that I had not drank (two pitchers). I proceeded with talking to the manager, Joe I believe (older man, short with white hair) and he was just trying to get me to sign the copy of the receipt. I told him how I did not order the pitchers of Bud as I don't drink bud. Ever. I was trying to take a picture of the itemized list and he snatched the papers from me.. Saying "are you going to sign or not" and I said I wasn't because I did not order this! His final words were "well fuck you then". Not only me but my group of friends will definitely not be returning here. Horrible manager service. Horrible.

Been there when kids were younger to play pool. Now I love going Tuesday nights for line dancing. So much fun close to home. Heck line dancing in Miami is wonderful. Staff always friendly. Good prices.

I went here on a Saturday night with Tom W. and a few of the lovely ladies who took part in the recent Yelp scavenger hunt. This was my first time at Hoolies, and I gotta tell you, it reminded me of a few of the blue collar-type places back in Pittsburgh that I sometimes used to haunt! The place was packed, it was loud, it was smokey and you're more than likely to find a bunch of people dressed in jeans, t-shirts, sneakers and ballcaps as opposed to the attire you might find in a SOBE club, but if you're looking for a place to hang out with a group of unpretentious patrons, have a few drinks and play some pool or watch a game, you might give Hoolie's a try. On this night they had karaoke, but rather than the usual crappy karaoke tracks, the singers were backed by a live band. It was a cool concept, and everyone from groups of ladies to women in their 50s to guys who looked like they were dressed to go to a Metallica concert were taking turns singing and rocking out with the band. Drinks were reasonable ($4.50 domestic bottles). I didn't order anything from the menu, but their food was also reasonably priced and it's definitely a step up from standard bar fare; They had the usual deep fried appetizers, but also pasta, sandwiches, salads, wings, soups, burgers, ribs, steaks, fish and shrimp. The only drawbacks as others have mentioned are that it gets very loud in here, especially when the band is cranking and it can be difficult to hold a conversation with those seated around you. Also, they have a sign outside advertising that you can smoke inside, and it really does reek of smoke, as will your clothes when you get home.

I love this place!! Live bands on Friday and Saturday, and consistently some of the best local talent. I have eaten here a couple of times and the food has always been good, and resonably priced. I think it is one of the few bars around where they allow smoking, but it does not smell like an ashtray when you walk in the door. The crowd covers all ages, and the atmosphere is more like going to a party rather just going to a bar. Nothing fancy, but plenty of good fun and good music.

So have you ever wanted to be on an episode of Cheers??? You know....where everyone will know your name?? Yeah...me too!!! The food is decent, the drinks are priced just right and I GUARANTEE you will NEVER see the same crowd in there!! Every time I have gone I have met some stranger in the bathroom and gotten a whole story I never asked for!! Wednesday night is Ladies Night. Our drinks only cost us .25 and the Karaoke is kick ass!!! I'm up on stage singing my heart out as often as I can!! If you go....see Lori at the bar and if you happen to hear Rob, the KJ call Sabrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiina....that would be ME!!!!!

I have only come here for Sunday night live band karaoke and each time I have had a BLAST! Of course that is in great part due to the awesome company of some wonderful, wild and crazy Yelpers but without the live band karaoke we would just be a bunch of drunks belting out our favorite random tunes at a bar. Yes, you will leave smelling like cigarette smoke and yes that sucks big time, especially for us non-smokers. Honestly though, I totally find it worth it because the sheer enjoyment of hanging with friends, talking shit and getting insane on stage is priceless. There are drinks specials during football games too, pretty good ones at that. I enjoyed an ooey gooey cheese quesadilla for $5 and two bourbon & cokes for $5/each. It's bar food, don't come here expecting gourmet anything. You just get a decent meal to help soak up some of the liquid courage you are sure to be imbibing. Pool tables are also available and rumors of glow sticks in the bathroom vending machines had our interest piqued but we could never get the machine to spit one out for us. Next time.

Love this place. Great little local hole in the wall dive bar offering good service, good food, good music...good times! Be warned if you are not a smoker that it is one of the only establishments left in south Florida where smoking is permitted. It actually doesn't bother me as for some reason it seems to be filtered out somewhat. The bar itself is reminiscent of a cheers type establishment, dark wood, warm and cozy. There is an open area in front of a small stage where I have had the pleasure of seeing several really good local cover bands, (Colbert is my favorite). And if pool is your thing then you'll be right at home as upon entering there are several well lit pool tables. Bar none this is the best little place in south Dade. I wish we had one closer to West Kendall but it's worth the drive.

I was here last night. Celebrating a friend's birthday. It was karaoke night. We had fun, however some other people thought it was strip club. Some singers were good other were not so good. Food was good . I had the nachos really good. The drinks were reasonable. Apple martini for $7.95. Nachos were $9.95. Overall, it was fine.

This place is hit or miss. Steve C. hit this place right on the head. Either your getting good service or good food but your only getting one. Not a place to take the kids! Live band is good but most nights I've been there its way too loud. It has potential, it just needs some work. Smoking is permitted, I go outside to smoke because I like smoking one cigarette at a time.

Surprise Surprise. Kendall has a pretty cool bar! We came here just for a couple of drinks since we were pressed for time. The atmosphere is dark and full of cigarette smoke, similar to that of a strip club...except of course the women are wearing clothes. I can tolerate the smoke just for a bit but not long. Their happy hour deals are great. We had four drafts and a chicken parm sandwich for $20. I'll be around again, looking forward to the local bands.

If you like dank Irish sports bars like me, chances are this place is worth giving a shot. I used to infrequent Little Hoolie's on occasion for Ladies Night/karaoke Wednesday's. There's also been a couple of "one of those nights" where I get wrecked with friends and dance to a mediocre mid-90's cover band. Those nights alone warrant this place 4 stars in my book. And then I discovered the awesomeness that is watching a Hurricane's football game here. The game day menu is pretty sweet: for $12 you can get a pitcher of beer and 8 wings (which are pretty darn tasty); $3 will get you two decent sized sliders (also pretty darn tasty); plus, they specialize in one of god's greatest gifts to bar food, the Blue Balls, which are basically ball-sized deep-fried chicken cordon blue's. But perhaps the greatest thing of them all, is that that every time the 'Cane score, a hurricane siren goes off and the waitress' pass out free jello-shots (field goals included.)

Rowdy pub-style bar with a stage, billiards, really something for everyone. It wasn't the relaxed environment we were looking for on a Sunday night, and I was surprised by the cigarette smoke, but everything turned out well enough. I wouldn't say the bartenders/waitstaff knew exactly what they were doing (mixed up drink orders, weren't familiar with what I would consider a common drink (SoCO, amaretto, lime), but our waiter Jackie was sweet-as-pie and I'm a sucker for pretty waiters. We sat in an available booth and were able to converse freely despite a band, karaoke,etc. Our fellow patrons were friendly, especially considering my cousins and I were three sheets and very rowdy. The karaoke wasn't atrocious, our-cheese-bacon fries were cheesy, and a great night was had for a not-extravagant price. All in all I'd say this place does a good job of investing in its clientele. THE AFTERMATH I returned this afternoon to check up on a ring I had lost during Sunday night's adventures. The bartender who I'd spoken to over the phone, Virginia, was extremely helpful, as were the two other patrons in the bar. We looked high and low with no luck, and Virginia bought me a beer. That's service. I'll be returning in the afternoons to play billiards and smoke cigars.

Little Hoolies is a tiny dive bar that is pretty cool to go hang out and have a few drinks and shoot some pool. I visited this place a few times and I am never really impressed nor am I let down. The beer is cheap, the TV's have whatever sports game I want to watch, and the pool tables are decent. I haven't had the chance to eat here and thats probably because I can only take the strong smell of cigarette smoke for so long...and as a result haven't stuck around long enough to order anything that requires cooking. I hope one day I get the chance to sample something because I have a good feeling that its pretty decent.

Little Hoolies is great because it is CHEE-SEY. They recently re-did it so you can see the stage better and let me tell you it is worth it! I've never been able to see so many cover bands comprised of middle aged men so well in my life. Look, if you're looking for "South Beach" Miami, this isn't it. But if you live the South of 88th St, and close to US-1, then give Little Hoolies a try. You can get drunk for cheap, and chances are, if you live in that area, you won't have to drive very far to get home. You'd be surprised how many hotties are into the middle-aged dude cover bands. And no, they're not all trannies.

Recently, I have only been here to watch football games so I am not sure how it is at night. They have lots of TVs to watch your favorite team, although the place never seems to get too many people. The service was very good and the people who hang out there are friendly. They always have some kind of beer specials going on during the games so you can get your drink on at a decent price.

Wow what just happened.... This place is weird... in a good and bad way. First off it is in a strip mall near the falls right by the Publix which was kind of strange. We got in on a Friday night and it was PACKED. They had a cover band playing your typical cover band songs (stuff you hear on Rock Band). This place is for sure for the 30+ crowd, I think me and the person I went with were the only people under 30. It was humorous drinking there, some TANKED older people kept coming up and talking to us some in creepy ways. There is a dance floor here which was like watching Americas Funniest Home Videos, I really wish I could have of just videotaped it. I kept thinking I was going to run into my parents or someones parents I know. The beer was super cheap though which was nice, it was not even a promotion and a pitcher of Yueling was around $6.50 which was clutch. You can smoke inside which is a plus and there are 3 pool tables which is also a plus. I would go back here but just NOT on a weekend... Or maybe on a weekend when I turn 30.

little Hoolies at first put a bad taste in my mouth when first tried to go - I was wearing a cutoff shirt and was kicked out immediately. at a sports bar?! went again recently. good food. try the blue balls. drinks weren't too pricey and the live band (went on a Friday) was decent. very much middle-aged singles bar if you ask me. also one of the few establishments that allows smoking - to me a bar should be smoke friendly.o

I went to check this place out just because my roommate talk good things about this place. First of all. Let me just start off with. This place needs a lot of upgrade. I been there in Tuesday's which its Country night. Not a fan of country but I'll live. I rate it a 2 because every time I go there I order the same thing and each time the prices on my check are different each time. Do they really like just put the whatever prices on the check. Like seriously... A friend of mine asked for a pitcher of Miller Lite and it came out to $14 and I asked for the same and it was $11. Why?!?!?!? Another thing is the waitress take forever to refill your drinks. If you aren't ordering a lot of stuff. They don't wanna waste your time coming to your table. I tried playing pool there. I put $$ in the table and no balls comes out. What the hell? Took me and my buddy 35 minute to get attention to fix this matter. When I said to myself f*** it I'm gonna use another table. The restroom is filthy as hell. They don't seem to clean up the bathroom often. Also the food is so so. Only time I'll come back if my friends pay for the drinks cause I don't trust this place. They'll charge you whatever they want!!!

The food is good, and some of the kareoke regulars are really good...and some not. Its pretty good for a dive/sports bar, but with an older crowd than you'll find elsewhere in Miami. The alcohol specials are pretty great but the beer selection is so-so. Also, if you hate ranch, don't order the blue cheese. My entire table tried it and decided that it was just a mixture of the two (kind of defeats the purpose of having both options) The service depends on who you get, but the crowd there is a very friendly mixture of people, so I'll definitely be back.

Went with friends to hear some live music - Tyme Machine was great- full of energy and great rock and roll- Had beer and wings so we could not go wrong- negatives they try and get so many people in with tables - we could barely get out to go to the restroom (which were filthy and nasty) then the dancers push the tables back to have more of a dance floor - makes it squeezed in like sardines- all in all -ok def could use a deep clean - drink a lot and leave the lights dim - Service was great till it got packed then you are on your own

I have no clue why it never occurred to me to write a review of this place, considering I've been yelping for 3 years and have been coming to Little Hoolies for a decade. AC Mind Fail. The past is in the past, and I'm here now...to write about this lovely dive in my stomping ground. I've probably frequented this place more than any other bar in all of Miami. I was a wee youngin' (about 18 maybe, so a youngin' compared to the average crowd there I guess) when I started to hit the place up...and I've been loyal to it ever since for a few reasons: best karaoke in kendall, cheap drinks, and pretty decent sports bar food accompanied by friendly service! It's the perfect size- a cozy area where all the tables are set up in front of the stage is usually where I call home, but sometimes I'll make my way to the pool tables and sink a few 8 balls with some friends....For drinks I walk on over to the somewhat Cheers-like bar knowing I won't break the bank for a good buzz. It's laid back atmosphere almost makes me want to come here in my PJs. I docked one star only because they allow smoking here, and that makes me kinda crazy. I leave with a headache and always have to re-wash my hair. But the fun times and memories are worth it...although my lungs may have a different opinion.

south. very south. in fact, even further south than the last metro rail stop. south of kendall which i thought was fucking impossible. turns out, theres life south of dadeland and i ended up at little hoolies on a sunday night for karaoke with yelpers. karaoke is weird. it really is. i feel like some people should not sing. some people should not get on stage either. some of these people were there this sunday. no joke. little hoolies was good too me. it was crowded around the stage but few stools were open by the bar. i got a club sandwich and a kettle one on the rocks. that turned into two vodkas and three and perhaps 6. plus a tequila shot for a little someone who was on fire that evening. the bartender was a nice lady. she was very patient with my drunk ass friends so big thank you for that. my club sandwich was ok. other items looked more interesting on the menu but it was too late to order those. my bill came up to 80$ +/- without gratuity. a really a good deal considering all the vodka i drank. however i cannot give this place 4 stars as it in my opinion, had nothing out of the ordinary to offer. this seems like an ok place to grab a drink and shoot some pool with your friends or what not. will i be back again? maybe on my way down to cuba sometime.

Went here to watch my friend who is in a band that was playing. Live music and pool venue. Bar is good, not great. They have one particularly good bartender...a girl who has a bunch of tattoos. I enjoyed the place and the band sounded very good, but the wings....horrible. I went with a flavor that the tall guy recommended and it was baaad. Tasted like mismatched foods thrown together to make a "special sauce". Either way, the rest of our food was good and despite being packed, service was also good. Ive been here about ten times or so and the BEST new thing is no more smoking inside! Now i can be a regular and not smell like an ashtray.

Not too shabby. My first visit to Hoolie's was last year on St. Patty's Day. So, I'm sure you can imagine that this was quite a first impression. Funny thing is, I left there so inebriated on that night, that only bits & pieces come back to me. Please don't ask me to tell you whether the bathrooms were clean, whether the service was fast & friendly, whether the food was good (Didn't eat, although I probably should have) or any of those typical review questions. I was just too far gone. It was St. Patty's Day, after all. What did'ja expect?? I don't remember any of those things. What I do remember: 1- Drinks were flowing. 2- My friends are awesome. 3- I love St. Patty's Day. Now, more recently, I visited Little Hoolie's with some friends on a Sunday night. It's one of their Karaoke nights. It takes a bit of liquid courage for me to get up there, but it does happen every so often. The Karaoke DJ (Kara-O-King) is cool peeps. They have a band to back you up which is pretty Rock N Roll, if you ask me. On this visit, the bathrooms were decently clean, but they have ashtrays built into the wall INSIDE THE STALLS. Weird. I liked that they have a hand sanitizer dispenser inside the stall, although it was empty this night. Downside: Their menu is apparently so outdated that the Happy Hour info is inaccurate, which makes me sad. Upside: The friendly waitress explained that they were going to be getting new menus and gave us a breakdown of the new Happy Hour specials. (Find them in my Quick Tips) Oh and they have a personal hygiene-slash-glowstick dispenser in the bathroom. There's a combo that you don't see very often. All in all, a pretty decent place to gather with friends, have a few decently priced drinks, belt out some tunes (if that's your thing) and kick back. This place is a little too far from home for me to become a regular, but it's pretty cool in my book. I'll be back.

I've gone to a few neighborhood bars in my time. From dives, to chains, to whole-in-the-walls. Lil Hoolies has the appeal that one would have of Cheers if we were Norm. I had been there before sometime ago, but this time around it left an impression. I love that on Sundays, there's a band that comes out with the Karaoke team that plays along while you sing. Now that's cool. Our waitress was wonderful, attentive, quick and friendly. The drinks were reasonably priced. And my Sundays will now and forever belong to Hoolies. See you there.

I have been a fan of Little Hoolies for about two years now. It has been sort of my boyfriend's and I local bar because it just so happened that we met at Hoolies. I love the fact that they have ladie's night on Wednesdays, along with karaoke, and drinks are only 25 cents. They also have affordable pitchers for all the beer fans. The crowd varies, bartender Andrew is awesome!

The Yelp rating says this place is good for dancing. However, Hoolie's decided a few years back to cover the dance floor with tables. I guess the owner needed a bigger swimming pool or a new chalet in Switzerland. It's true that some good local bands come through on Friday and Saturday nights, but it's awesome dance music with NO SPACE TO DANCE. If you're someone who smokes, plays pool, loves sports and doesn't want to be bothered with dancing, this is the place for you.

Living south of Kendall Drive, albeit just barely, I get dragged here a lot. If you live in Pinecrest or points south, going to Little Hoolies is basically in the social contract, you can't get away from it. Total dive, but by comparison to the thankfully-defunct Big Hoolies, this place looks like the f'ing Delano. So what do we have......some pool tables....formidable bar to the right serving old standbys....some TVs.....a stage where crappy cover bands frequently play......and that hazy pall of cigarette smoke hovering in the air (though not quite as bad as Big Hoolies used to be). It's generally a rowdy middle-aged crowd, though it can be younger.....it can even be older. I've seen all ages in there. Food is served, though like most fried bar food, it serves little purpose other than to soak up alcohol. I've eaten here in the interest of mere sustenance, but that is the only capacity in which I can recommend the food. The well drinks, while cheap, suck - if you want them to use a spirit with a modicum of taste, you'll pay way too much for it. I don't know why, but when I come here, I always find myself craving a Sapphire & tonic. Always. But not wanting to pay the inflated price while I have a perfectly good bottle of it at home, I usually settle on a session-able, easy drinking beer like Guinness. Wednesday night karaoke can be fun....though you are guaranteed to hear Don McLean's "American Pie" every single night. Someone's always gotta sing that infernal song, and it just goes on and on and on. I don't know why I'm giving this 3 stars. I guess it holds some sentimental value.

I was persuaded to come here for the Sunday night karaoke by some friends... the place was... interesting, the service was lacking but the waitress did apologize many times (I think she was alone? or maybe it was her and one other waitress, either way, she was in full panic mode) the band was obnoxiously loud, like, difficulty hearing after I left loud, and for a concert ok, but karaoke? ya, a bit much... but oh well food was ok, drinks were reasonable, its an OK place, not great, kinda good?

Little Hoolies was cool. I was taking by a good friend Yesenia. The drinks weren't expensive.. I had a vodka and cranberry for 6 bucks.. I was a little disappointed because I had 3 Vodkas plus 2 shots of Patron and I was ONLY SLIGHTLY buzzed. I think the waitress may have thought I was asking for water in my drinks.... Anyway, the atmosphere is very sports bar style, pool tables, big TVs and loud music during commercials. I believe they also have live bands and karaoke on certain nights. I had fun and will definitely go again.... with a flask ;)

boy do I miss the original hooligans in pinecrest. not to sound old but this place can get too loud with the live band. I continuously have to be yelling to talk lol. drinks aren't cheap but they do have an in the biz special for you late night people. a few outdated pool tables are visible through the smog of cigar and cigarette smoke if you wanna run a game of billiards.

It gives me the sense of a dive bar, it's not spotless, it's not snooty, it's a bit warmer, and the regulars there typically make you feel at home. Friendly people and service, ladies nights on Wednesdays til midnight! Really cool place to just chill, maybe play a game of pool, watch a local band, or get up and sing a song :)

I have to admit, this place grew on me since my last post. I haven't gone much since entering the 9-5 life but before this was my GO TO place after work or to grab a drink with my boyfriend. Barbie is an AWESOME server and Adri too! They're both super attentive and accommodating! There's one bartender who I always forget her name (short, red hair, tattoos) but she's sweet and is always around to help. And Drew, well he's still the best! (Seriously, ask for his white Russians.... SO GOOD.) I've kinda stuck to the same people so I haven't really interacted with other servers/bartenders. Country Nights is a blast! The line dancing they decided to start was such a good idea! I love that every time I visit there is something going on and at some times there's some down time after the bands or events.. Really, the environment is awesome. Big ups to the guys in the kitchen too. I always end up ordering cheese fries or the Mini-Phillys when I go, the food is good and they're pretty quick unless they're slammed which in that case it's understandable. The wing sauces are also really good too! In the Biz here is still my favorite. Their specials are awesome and you can't really beat the hours, service and environment. Can't wait to be able to start going again!

Little Hoolies. What can I say. NOT THERAPY OR SERVICE DOG FRIENDLY AS PER BY THE OWNER ! Never have been here before but the first time I went. Last night. At around 1:30/2 am went horrid. I have a THERAPY DOG allowed by law anywhere his owner is allowed. No paper work required or card needed to be able to have your therapy dog with you. The owner comes in. Asks me to come outside. Asks me for paperwork and I tell him that in the state of Florida you do not need paperwork for a therapy dog. He continues to argue with me. The owner himself about me having my dog with me. I become so upset with the OWNER that I lost my appetite for food or to ever want to go back there. How do you call yourself an owner of an establishment and argue with the customer when the customer is always right. Especially one who knows the law and knows that it is perfectly legal to have your therapy dog with you. Granted I had my dog in a bar with loud music. My therapy dog has been trained for all types settings. So that should be none of his business where I take my therapy dog to. I am disappointed in the owner and his establishment. I really was hoping to go and have a late night bite but the owner killed my want for ever going to Little Hoolies.

Did you ever wake up in a friend's spare bedroom on a Saturday morning after an innocent happy hour turns into a crazed all nighter? Well, I have. In fact, it was just this past Friday when I thought to myself how great it would be to enjoy a nice quiet night at home. Yeah. That didn't happen AT ALL. A few of my friends who live in Kendall decided to do a little impromptu pub crawl, and after very little coercion I figured it would be a good way to get to know some of the cool places around that area. After a quick and disappointing stop at Bajama Breeze, we drove as fast as we could to Little Hoolies to try to salvage the night. A quick word of warning. If you are offended by cigarette smoke, do not come here. If you are looking for a fancy high-class place, don't come here. This is a real dive, with real people from all walks of life. From the fuzzy memories that I'm able to recall, they had a band who played late 90's stuff like Gin Blossoms and Goo Goo Dolls. I was standing right up front and kept begging for them to play ZZ Top or Tom Petty. It never happened, but the music was still fun and tolerable. For some reason, the waitress handed someone in our group a giant retractable pen which was quickly used to draw pictures on each other. It took me about two days to scrub off all the wonderful images. Aside from the ample cigarette smoke, this place was great. The waitresses were cool, the band was pretty good, but most of all the vibe could not be beat. I will definitely make another trip out for Karaoke night!
