Absolutely love the food here! Anything that you order will be enough to feed a small army! I've tried a few different items like the empanadas(love them with their homemade sauce!), churrasco, milanesa de pollo(chicken Parmesan), and bandeja paisa while enjoying every bite. Granted, the churrasco isn't as good as any Nica establishment, but the service I've received as of late and convenience of having it close to home make up for a little less salt(healthier too :-D). All in all, I'd highly recommend for a cheap and HUGE meal if you're in the area. Two can easily eat from one order regardless if what you get!

I've never eaten a Colombian breakfast and the huevos revuelto were the best I've ever had in my life. Food service is a tad slow even on a quiet day but we'll with the wait. Waitress was very courteous but not attentive. She appeared to be manning the whole place alone. Looking forward to my next visit.

I've been coming to this spot for years and my experience has always been a positive one. The staff is polite, the food is good, and they even have live music on fridays (I believe)--if that's your kind of thing. I always get the bandeja paisa and the empanadas de carne, which I find to be quite good. Can't vouch for anything else, but certainly would recommend them.

Although I don't frequent Colombian restaurants as often as I should, I've been hard pressed to find a better restaurant than La Cabana Paisa. This joint, located in one of the most unassuming shopping plazas off Bird Road and 127th ave, serves up some delicious and, what I believe to be, authentic Colombian food. I truly can't recall how many times I've been here and I can honestly say the food and service never lets me down. Being a slave to routine, I always order the same entree: Carne al Carbon. This baby comes with steak, rice, beans, plantains, and a side salad with a slice of avocado on top. BALLLLLIIIIINNNNN! And to top it off (and I mean this literally), they have some delicious sauce that they always bring out so don't fret, you won't have to ask for it because I don't know what it's called but it should be named HEAVEN. Anyway, I pour that sauce over the meat, rice, and beans and it just elevates my meal to a new level. Hooray for good sauces!!! The layout of the restaurant is very spacious but it does stay busy. They also have a small bar where you can eat or throw back some drinks. If you're bored of the conversations being had at your table, look up at the many TVs they have around the place which are usually playing Spanish music videos from my parent's generation, definitely appreciated and entertaining. And if you're worried about the prices, you're in luck because this place has great prices for their food. I know it's located far west than most people tend to drive for good food but if you're in the neighborhood, and even if you're not, get your butt to La Cabana Paisa. You will not regret it.

If I could give them 0 star I would, but sadly Yelp does not give that option. My experience here was awful and all I have to say is do not order a steak here. I ordered steak medium rare only to get it well done and sent it back only to get another well done steak (more than the last). My family and friends were done with their food and so I didn't want it anymore. They took the steak off of the bill and only to charge 15% tip for a party of 4. Very shady.

I ended up in this restaurant on a Saturday at 10pm after trying to get into another 2 Colombian restaurants that were packed because of live shows. The place was completely empty - we were the only people there. I had the Mojarra Frita and my boyfriend had the Bandeja Paisa - they were both delicious. We also had some empanadas, a Batido de Maracuya and an Arepa con Queso, also very good. The place has the potential for a nice ambiance .... But it's hard to tell without anyone there. 4 stars because I can't tell about the service when we are the only ones being catered to. I would definitely recommend it and encourage people to try it out.

It seems like Columbian restaurants follow the same basic principles Chinese places do.. Decorate the same, and make the food the same. This place follows the decor principle, but the food is quite a bit better than the average. I ordered my usual Bandeja Paisa con Carne Asada, although here it's called Bandeja Montañera. I could easily say it was the best I've had, not just one thing on the plate, but everything. Even the avocado slice was perfectly ripe. I'm surprised that nobody else has written a review yet, it's definitely worth putting on the Yelp map.

How I have taken for granted having this Colombian restaurant so close to home in Miami. Being born and raised there this was a regular for me. I have not found a good Colombian restaurant where I currently live. This past visit I got one of my favorite dishes sancocho de cola and it was perfection. Oxtail soup with potatoes, plantains, yuca and a side of rice and salad...to die for! So flavorful and filling. How jealous I am of the maracuya juice, I can never get it tasting that good! Decoration is that of a typical Colombian restaurant in Miami. Makes me miss home! I love being Colombian and how I love coming here. Reminds me of summers I spent with family there.

Was craving Sancocho and empanadas! They hit the spot. Service was "meh" at best. The lady helping us was in a bad mood or something... Otherwise food rocked.

the service was fast and attentive. I would say the food was average... I had the chicken grilled which came with rice salad and plantains. unfortunately the chicken needed more aggressive seasoning. the prices were okay if you take into consideration the quality and quantity of food being served. there is ample parking ac was working and the place looked clean

For the kind of restaurant, hole in the wall, family run, homey, it is awesome!! Not fancy, not top chef, but delicious!!! Far drive for me but willing to take the drive for their yummy food. La sopa de cola (ox tail soup) is AMAZING!!! The bandeja paisa was good. Their arepas were not the best but overall pretty good...after they closed the original Moseratte on 12th, I've never found a Columbian restaurant I liked and this one is as good as I've been able to find.

Came here with my parents one (and later with Jeff G.) and I gotta say this is one of the better (best?) Colombian places I have been to... I really love the carne asada, always tasty... and they make the red beans just right.... mmm

Went here Today! And OMG! This is a hidden Holy Grail! I'm Colombian and this is the best homemade food I ever tasted! Their empanadas are fresh and Delicious! Try their fresh fruit smoothies! They are made with water NOT milk! Which was a huge plus for me! Don't hesitate to come here, this is the SPOT!

Went here today for dinner as I have many times before, and as usual it was delicious. It was my dads bday so when we asked him where he would like to go that is where he picked. We were a party of 16 and everyone was happy by the time we left, food was amazing. my wife and I spilt the churrasco which is more than enough for two people and along with the rice and beans and a huge toston and all we can say is WOW!!! Delicious! they were understaffed but as anyone who's been here knows they usually are but I give 100% credit to the waitress who was on top of everything. She was perfect. Oh and we asked about bringing a cake to them on the phone and she said no problem, they did it without an extra charge for cutting and serving the cake. they brought it out, we sang happy bday they took it back and cut it and passed out the pieces with no problem, and it was a great time and one of my fav spots. The food is always great, the service was great and the price just right. I strongly recommend this place and I will be going back again without a second thought.

Let's start with location; excellent, close to Florida Tpk. 75 south. Next drink; I like Guanábana, very healthy fruit. Next Food; this is a restaurant from Medellin so soups (sancocho) meats platter are the best. We order Sancocho de Gallina (hen) and believe or not for myself I had Fish (Mojarra). I had try fish in every Colombian restaurant and this is the best of the best, it is very fresh and how to find out if a fish is fresh. How?: you must eat the head and eyes, if taste o smell fishy... "No way Jose", if taste like Sea but no salty it is fresh..so every time I eat fish here it is fresh and finally empanadas are really good. @Enjoy. I almost forgot ask for the Argentinian waitress, she is Super awesome.

Food was very good here.....going back again! Two of us shared the Churrasco & it was plenty like other reviewers said. The steak was done perfect & tasted great. Empanadas were good too. Ice cold Aguila beer from Colombia served in a frosty mug hit the spot. My friend I brought here was Colombian & gave the seal of approval so that says a lot.

Food is amazing, the empanadas and the bandeja paisa were delicious but for being the only table being served here the service was horrible, the food took for ever and it was a mission to get the waiters attention.

This restaurant has a very large space with lots of tables. It seems like there are shows on weekends since there is a stage that is decorated in a farmhouse, or rural style, typical of South America. I did not see any advertisements about shows or anything of the like, but my guess is the stage gets used on Fridays and Saturdays. The food here is OK. I was expecting something delicious because of the previous ratings, but I was not impressed at all. I ordered a sobrebarriga, grilled. It came with rice and red beans, salad, and fried yucca, potato, and plantain. The meat was not very tasty, and neither were the beans. The yucca and the plantain were also average, but the fried potato was really good. I also ordered a meat empanada. It was also decent, but nothing outstanding. It was fried in house, and it took some time to come out. Of course, it came out sweltering and steaming, and I had to wait a few minutes before I was able to take a bite. Luckily I was warned by the waitress. The beans had the same characteristic. Really, I was not impressed by anything. The screen TVs showing Colombian news and later switched to a soap opera did not entertain much. The deflated balloons left from a previous party did not help either. The place would have been pretty much empty at lunch time if it wasn't for me. I didn't find it to be very economical either. A meal at lunch time will run you close to $20. I never really pay attention to this, except when the food is average or sub par. That said, this is not a budget lunch spot. On the good side, you do get a very large meal. The menu at La Cabaña Paisa is filled with all the regular Colombian dishes found at common Colombian restaurants. There is nothing out of the ordinary. In the future (near or distant, who knows?), I may try the "Ajiaco Santaferreño" or even a "Bandeja Paisa". Maybe I will find the five stars rating there. And I will update.
