I had friends coming in from out of town and they were craving good Spanish tapas. I looked on Yelp and came across Jamon Iberico. Based on the reviews (and that it was close to home), I suggested we all go here. Chef Felipe was great. He greeted my friends at the bar and came to our table twice during our meal to check on us. To start we had a plate of cheese and ham (Pata Negra, of course), which is not on the menu and is very expensive but good. We then had the Octopus, anchovies, ham croquettes, cod croquettes, the paella of chicken, garbanzo beans and pork, and the cochinillo (suckling pig). I don't like anchovies but those in my party agreed that it was good. The octopus was tasty. The croquettes were good as well. I'm not a big fan of yellow rice/paella but this rice was sooo good. It had a nice smoky flavor. The cochinillo was delish. It comes with a nice aioli sauce that was real garlicky. After dinner the waiter brought us FREE after dinner drinks which I concluded was anis. For dessert we had the almond tart, which is a very typical Spanish dessert, but alas it was the one "not so great" thing on the menu. I'm pretty sure it was not made on site. Overall, we all loved the place and agreed we would all be back.

This place is a-ok. The owner is really great and friendly. I think we were a bigger group then they are used to handling and as such it took a while to get our food. They brought bread and cheese which was pretty good; I like their olive oil and would maybe skip the cheese. Had the filet cooked medium well, probably would not order this again as it was smothered in this peppery gravy and reminded me of like country fried steak that you would get at a diner. I did try the squid ink paella and the chick pea appetizer; both of those were actually pretty good, (not amazing but pretty good and would get again and definitely better than the steak). Anyway I would come back maybe just to get tapas with a friend or two; I don't recommend this place for large groups as the wait is very long and they have a lot of trouble splitting up the check. However, the overall experience was nice because the owner was really enthusiastic and made us feel at home.

Excellent spanish restaurant with great and genuine food, even the bread is imported from Galicia. The owner is the most friendly person I met in a restaurant (And I know a lot all over the world). If you like Spanish food this is a must. Do not forget to try the crema catalana at desert time, it is just incrediblel!

After several months of wanting to try Jamon (x3), I finally got the opportunity and I only wish I had gone sooner! Chef Felipe made our party immediately feel at home. The bread was delicious - warm and crispy - served alongside a very flavorful EVOO. We started off with tapas (chistorra; croquettas, both jamon and bacalao; manchego; fried chickpeas; chorizo) and a lovely sangria. The chistorras were the best I've had in Miami; nice and plump and with a bite. The star of the lunch was the paella, classically prepared. The paella was perfectly cooked and brimming with succulent seafood (and the biggest mussels ever) and chicken. I will most certainly be back!

Great food. We walked in Sat night and thought the crowd would be "younger" though this looked like early bird special goers. Everyone was retired, but maybe it was just the night. Needless to say, the owner greeted us in a super friendly manor and seated us. The menu was not a big as I imagined, but had a good choice of meat, and fish. (Just a few tapas on the list which I thought would be more), anyway I got the dolphin with a spinach cream sauce and my friend got the garlic dolphin. BOTH were awesome and so much flavor. We choose garlic shrimp apps with tons of flavor in a white wine sauce. Bottle of Red called "Nuestro" which was good. Could not fit desert. Great food. Moderately priced. Excellent service. Older crowd.

The BEST Spanish food that I have ever had (and I lived in Spain for 6 mos.) Not only is the food excellent, the service is amazing too as the owner took wonderful care of us and wanted to make sure everything was perfect. We had jamon serrano, queso manchego, gambas, and paella. The bread brought to the table was fresh and delicious also.

I can have the bread right now!! with olive oil very hot and crispy. try the cochinillo with patatas you can easily transport yourself to Spain! The place is great and the chef visits every table to find out if you are satisfied what a nice experience!!!

Finally a place I'm proud to say opened up right in my building, Neo Lofts. The soft opening was Monday 4/19, and I had the pleasure of trying it out last night. I was sooo pleasantly surprised. Its a cozy little resataurant with a little market in the back. The lighting is dim, and the tables are dark wood, very romantic. Since they just opened up the menus are still being printed and everything was written on a huge chalk board above the tables. The service was awesome, we got the meet chef after our amazing meal, and our waiter treated us like we were family. The wine selection was great and the prices are right on! We had the octopus sauteed in garlic, and the manchego cheese and serrano ham platter with freshly baked and warm bread. For the main course we shared the garlic shrimp which was served with a side of white rice, vegies, and sauteed potatos. Everything was incredible. Its a must try, I will encourage everyone to go, you will definetely not regret it.

So happy to have this place in Neo Lofts! We went this week and had amazing service and great food and wine. Fresh, soft bread with olive oil, an above average green salad, and huge portions of flavorful paella....yum! A great red wine (and I'm a white wine drinker!) topped everything off. Besides the great food, the service was fantastic. Good service is sooo hard to find in Miami, so this was a welcome surprise! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with no waitstaff BS ;)

What a great find! Tucked away on the Miami River at the trendy Neo Lofts this not-just-tapas-Spanish restaurant delivers on great food, friendly atmosphere and terrific wines. We had a great paella and deliciously prepared Florida snapper. Don't miss it!

Fabulous food and the friendliest of service. Chef Felipe makes you feel like you are the most special customer. Our waiter, Juan, was overwhelmed with several tables and yet he still had lots of charisma and charm. He was delightful. The restaurant could use another waiter. Jamon Jamon Jamon is tops on my list for recommendations.

Hidden gem, hard to find but worth it for authentic Galician food. Paella, highly recommended, huge portions. Owner a wonderful guy and Juan our server very very good. Five stars.

Heard about the place from a friend. Went yesterday Thursday. Although it was very slow, the food was incredible! Great portions and great prices! No doubt I'm coming back. Try the paella valenciana lots of meat! Great small intimate place.

  • Ummi R.

Decided to stop by to see how good the food was. My girlfriend and I went there on 3 different occasions. The first time we had the calamari, it was good and fresh. The second time we had the paella and Cochinillo. The paella was alright but the cochnillo was unedible. The third time, i had a chorizo burger, that was the worst burger i have ever had in my life and I almost went back to get a refund. This restaurant will soon be on Kitchen nightmares.

My visit to Miami and tasting the wonderful food continues here at Jamon Jamon Jamon. A restaurant search on a whim lead us to this hidden treasure. First good sign, all but three tables were already reserved and the place was empty! A big fan of tapas, we ordered four along with one entree to share. Big portions for small plates. Favorites were the ham fritters, so hot, flavorful, and creamy; fried chickpeas, hearty and perfectly seasoned; and the lamb chops, TO DIE FOR. Delicious wine and an awesome meal. Highly recommended.

We were visiting Miami from San Francisco, and asked some friend for their favorite Spanish tapas place. They pointed us in the direction of Jamon Iberico Pata Negra, warned us that it might not be easy to find, and said we would love their food. They we're right. The Spanish sausages (selection goes way beyond chorizo) are outstanding, the freshly baked Spanish style bread is fabulous, the Huevos Rotos con Jamon is one of the best dishes I've ever had, their Garbanzos Frito were good but not great, and the rice in their Paella was full of flavor and fantastic. Best tapas meal I've had. Great selection of Spanish wines to go with the food. And their valet parking arrangement makes up somewhat for their funny location. And I almost forgot: the Crema Catalan for dessert was a great ending. The owner told us at the end of the evening, that we didn't even order the best dish on the menu. He's proud of his Cochinito Preparado. If you love Spanish food, you will go crazy about this place. Definitely worth a journey...

Awesome Spanish tapas restaurant. Portions were large and everything we had was delicious. The staff were very attentive and courteous. We filled up on their fresh baked bread, got a pitcher of sangria, and ordered 6-7 of the tapas plates. Well worth the trip. Make a reservation with a big group of friends and you will not be disappointed.

Awesome Spanish restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff was super nice and courteous. We started with some tapas, Garbanzos fritos and Croquetas de Bacalao and they were amazing. For our entrees we ordered the Chuleta de Ternera which was super tender and cooked just the way I like (medium rare) my husband ordered the Paella de Mariscos and loved it. I've eaten at many spanish restaurants and I can say that I feel that this is the first time that the food has been authentic. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other food, I'm sure I will love it. Keep up the good work!

  • Nathalie P.

I'm only giving it 4 stars because the service was ok. As my appetizer I had the eggs, which came in a tomato-based sauce, really good. The highlight of my meal however, was my entree. I had the cochinillo (suckling pig) cooked in its own juices. Let me tell you... this is a must have. The skin was so crispy and succulent and the meat was so flavourful and juicy, it was literally melting in my mouth. It was served with a side of crispy potatoes and some sort of buttery garlic cream that was a great complement to the cochinillo. It's really a shame that I came for a business lunch, because I would have loved try some of their sangria or maybe have a glass of wine with my meal. Truly delicious.

This place never disappoints me. We are always treated like family here by owner and chef Felipe. Food is incredible. I love their freshly baked bread. It goes so well with jamon and some queso manchego. We always start with that. They have a great selection of wine, but I always go for white sangria. It is one of the best I have ever had. I highly recommend this place!

One of the best Spanish Restaurants in Miami!!! This is my third time here. I love all the tapas: Gambas al ajillo, chistorra, pulpo a la gallega... My favorite dish is huevos rotos con chistorra. They have a good selection of wine. As a wine lover, I always look the wine list completely. This time I tried a different one.

Went with my girlfriend and the food and service was excellent. The solomillo (sirloin) was delicious and the lubina (sea bass) was very good too. The chef came out to say hello and ask how the food was. Even the valet attendant was super nice. Definitely recommend this establishment.

Absolutely delicious restaurant. Great paella! The tapas are mouth orgasms!!! I highly recommend this restaurant. The best paella in Miami! The food and service was excellent. The staff went above and beyond with their service, advice and even directions to the place. The atmosphere is wonderful. A delightful find!! Delicious paella, large portions, authentic food. Great sangria. Highly recommend the cava. Beautiful presentations of food and desserts. The chef came out and made sure we enjoyed everything. My first to Miami, and so impressed with this restaurant. Head Chef Felipe came to our table to greet us and thank us for visiting. This is attention to detail! My daughter and I felt very welcome. Felipe helped us with explicit directions and even walked us to our car. From our appetizer of Papas Bravas, to Sangria, Paella, and Crema Catalana, we were very pleased with all our selections. Juan Carlos, our server was attentive without being fawning, and he was knowledgeable. Portions were ample, delicious, and beautifully presented! We will have to visit there when we return to Miami! Felipe stopped to greet and follow up with all diners, I wish the staff all the best! Must try- Crema Catalana ( their exquisite rendition of Creme Brûlée )

Jamon Iberico is one of the top Spanish restaurants in Miami. I have eaten there at least 10 times. The food is consistently good. While there are some menu items that don't change, the chef Don Felipe is always adding new items to the menu. They have a good wine list and the service has always been outstanding. I highly recommend dining here without any hesitation.

Spectacular food. I can't say how authentic it is because I have never been to Spain. Incredible meal from the Iberian ham to the Pargo a la sal. Great wines I enjoyed the Alberino Laxas. Very attentive staff. Can't wait to go back.

Just came back from dinner and couldn't wait to review this little gem in the Miami River District. First the service was very good and staff very friendly. We ordered the croquetas de bacalao, the navajas grilled, the pulpo a la gallega ( very tender) and the seafood paella. Everything from appetizers to the dessert ( crema catalana) was amazing. I was pleasantly surprise by this restaurant. At the end of the dinner the chef came outside to ask how was dinner. The waiter gave us an after dinner shot. If you want great Spanish food you must visit this restaurant. I am definitely coming back soon. I want to try the cochinillo. I honestly thibk is one of the best Spanish restaurants in Miami.

You go to a lot of places in Miami and the food is delicious. It's not often that you eat at a restaurant and you get both... Delicious food and excellent service. We truly felt like we were eating at home with family. The chef came around and had conversations and joked around with everyone. The staff followed. It was an overall pleasant experience and we'll definitely be back soon. Had the bacalao croquetas, garbanzos fritos and paella de mariscos. Thumbs up!

Service was great, the tapas and paella were of wonderful taste. Love how they sing happy birthday here, the reataurant lends itself for a nice family dinner or a romantic date. Paella is big enough for two people, but I wish it had more fish and calamari! Love how the chef comes out too, food is always hot and fresh.

Just came here to chaperone some old folks for a senior citizen club. I was wowed by the whole experience! The ambiance was phenomenal. Being from a Spaniard background made me appreciate it even more. We had a set menu and I had the tomato salad for an appetizer. Not what I expected but it was seasoned deliciously and very fresh. For lunch I had the wet rice with chicken, ham and chickpeas. It was very tasty but I tried someone else's roasted pig and instantly regretted my decision. The pork was crunchy on the outside and really tender on the inside. The portions were huge and most people took home leftovers. The chef came out to thank everyone for coming and was one of the sweetest guys ever. The staff was also very friendly. Can't wait to come here again! One of the best Spanish restaurants in Miami!

Once in a great while you find the perfect combination of food love; great food, kindness, excellent service and a commitment to giving customers an amazing experience. Jamon Iberico is all of these things. Kindness from the owner as well as his staff was the best. The food, completely enjoyable. Several dishes ordered.... The stand outs- garlic shrimp, mainly as a sauce for the delicious bread. The broken egg dishes were outstanding! The black foot jamon and manchego cheese... to die for. Can't wait to go back. Enjoyed this day, food love is the best!

Sensational!! Felipe's kitchen always superior; the front of the house was excellent. Jamon Iberico is the finest tapas and Spanish restaurant in Miami. So happy!!

My little Yelpers never steer me wrong. I was going to give this place 4 stars for having 3 annoying mosquitoes circling our table the whole time we were there but I couldn't do it. It's not really their fault. We went on Easter Sunday around 2:30 p.m. without a reservation. We had to wait around 30 minutes to sit down since all the tables were taken and it looked like everyone was enjoying themselves so much that no one wanted to leave. They served us complimentary Albariño and olives while we waited and they apologized a couple of times for the wait. As soon as we sat down they brought us their delicious bread. We placed our order right away since we already knew what we wanted. We ordered bacalao croquetas, pulpo a la gallega with papitas, a jar of sangria with vino tinto, arroz con pollo with garbanzos, arroz con mariscos, and another fish dish that I cannot remember the name sorry. The croquetas had a mild taste, not too fishy. I'm not a pulpo type of girl but this pulpo was really good. Our arroz dishes were delicious and large. . The waiter told us that two can easily share one but we were greedy and hungry so we still ordered 2 different ones. And that lemon they bring out with the rice is actually perfect. I never tried it that way. Go ahead, give it a squeeze. Everything was fresh and homemade and tasty. The service was outstanding. We had 3 or 4 servers coming to our table to bring our things and to ask if everything was ok. I saw the chef back there looking real busy but he still came to our table asking how everything was and apologized that we had to wait. The kitchen area is small and very busy. They really hustle back there. For dessert we ordered the crema de catalana. Amazingly good! Wow! The food and the service were outstanding. It's so cute inside. I felt like I was in Spain and I've never been to Spain. We parked outside like half a block away for free. The total was $140 before tip for 3 adults. We will be back!!

Best Cochinillo (oven roasted pork) in town!!! juicy, tasty and crusty!! they usually have it on week days as part of their special daily menu. Three course special menu for an unbelievable price....When Im in the mood for real spanish food I always go to Felipe, all other dishes that I have tried are good as well plus the chef owner(Felipe) is very friendly and you feel right in the hearth of an Spain Old tavern. Complementary valet. Decor is ok.

What an amazing Spanish restaurant!! To the ambience, staff, and food... Everything was on point. We ordered the bacalao croquettes, fried garbanzo beans, pulpo gallego, tortilla, and paella!! Each dish was very delicious and I highly recommend them. A special shout out to Juan Carlos (Juancho) our waiter who took great care of us! Come check this place out :)

Wow what can I say. The food and atmosphere were amazing. Almost as good as traveling to Spain. The service was amazing with the wait staff very friendly and knowledgeable. They were all from Spain too which helped to give it even that more a feel. For food and drink we had the chorizo tapas which was very flavorful and came out quick along some of the freshest bread I've ever had. My friend that the sangria which was made perfectly with a ton of fresh fruit. For our main entrée we had the seafood paella. It's done with clams, shrimp, squid, and meat. It was great because unlike the typical bland Miami paella where everything tastes the same I could taste each individual ingredient. What really took me aback was that the chef personally came out and asked how the food was and had a conversation with us. You don't see that all too often. Parking is valet but it's free and secure for the restaurant so there's no worry about leaving your car out on the street. Over all it's one of the better hidden gems I've found in Miami. 10/10 would and will eat here again.

The products are excellent and management really cares for service and guest satisfaction. We had a little incident with a waiter, but it was rapidly address by management. We strongly recommend not only the products, but the overall experience itself.

We had such a lovely experience here on a Sunday night! My husband and I had a craving for paella and after a tip from a fellow Yelper we thought we'd come here. It is a little tricky to find- you have to get onto South River drive. I thought that since it's in a condo building the parking would be a hassle but the security guy had us park in the parking garage for free. I'm not sure if that's normally how it's done so just in case I noticed that valet is $5. So Yelp says that this restaurant closes at 10PM on Sunday BUT when we got there at about 9:15 the doors were locked and the hours listed said they close at 9. WHOOPS! As we sadly walked away the owner came out and told us that he could never turn customers away even if he was officially closed. Felipe, the owner/chef, is adorable. Super bubbly Spanish man that makes you feel like his casa is your casa. Since we felt bad about keeping them open later we actually didn't get the paella. We did start with the codfish croquettes which were delicious and came with a smoky tomato sauce. We also shared the suckling pig. OMG. The skin was perfectly crispy and the meat was so moist and falling off the bone. I loved the potatoes that came with it too. Crispy on the outside , fluffy on the inside. They came with a zesty white sauce sorry I don't know the proper name. It ended up being a LOT of food, we couldn't even finish it. Other things I liked about Jamon- the sangria was fruity and not too sweet and the atmosphere was precious. We can't wait to get back to say hi to Felipe and try the paella!

Very good atmosphere. We went for my father's bday and he loved it. The food tastes good. The chuleton de buey was very good. One of the best thing about this place is the people who work there.

This is an adequate restaurant. The menu is touristy standard, not interesting or inventive. Don't go here looking for Ferran Adria or Pedro Subijana. The location is terrible. The decor is loud Andalusian kitsch. I try to always be supportive of small family owned restaurants, but the chef owner needs to pay greater attention to detail. The pata negra was cut too thick. The tarta de Santiago was buried under confectioners sugar, so it barely tasted like almond. There were no legitimate vegetables on the menu.

Simply AMAZING!!! If there was a 6th star option I would've chose that. Great ambiance. You never would guess from outside. Lots of free parking on the streets here. And I am telling you again the food is AMAZING.

We stopped in for lunch after searching for Spanish food on my handy dandy yelp app. The reviews were good but the place was dead empty when we arrived, so I wasn't sure what to expect. We were greeted immediately by our server and led to our table. The lunch menu is an excellent value. And they don't skimp on quality or portions because of this. We started with their yummy bread basket. My husband started with some egg dish with sauce. I don't remember exactly what it was, but he enjoyed it. I had the grouper soup which was delicious. Again, it was a bowl not a measly cup. When our entrees arrived, I was already pretty full from stuffing my face with bread and soup. I had ordered the beef steak stuffed with apples & onions. It wasn't bad, but not my cup of tea. Fortunately for my husband, I was full, so I didn't steal his food. But, I did snag a taste of his perfectly cooked suckling pig. Yum! Dessert consisted of Profiteroles and Fried Milk. We ordered one of each. I had never tried Fried Milk, and it wasn't bad at all. It tasted a little like torrejas. The profiteroles were good too. Oh, and how can I forget their delicious sangria? I ordered one by the glass. Next time it's a pitcher for sure! Lunch was $12.30 each. The food was abundant and delicious. Plus we had leftovers for the next day. The place is small but cozy. Reminiscent of many establishments in Spain. Right down to the unisex restroom. :) BTW guys, common courtesy when it comes to unisex bathrooms is to put the seat down. Just sayin'. Cute decor, efficient staff, friendly and welcoming owner, what more can you ask for? Oh, yeah, great food. Yes, they delivered on that too. We will be back! It's not hard to find at all. Valet parking is convenient and free with validation.

Simply excellent. Food was great, service was great. The manager (or seemed like the owner) was constantly checking on us and every customer. At the end, Chef Felipe came to greet us thank us personally. I highly recommend the "huevos rotos" with serrano ham, the garbanzos and of the course the "Paella Valenciana". Prices are very reasonable.

just left totally dissapointed. Felipe came to ask what was wrong. He was very nice but should have checked much sooner. Service was weak, the food quality mediocre at best and the price ridiculous. Not one of the 4 appetizers or any of the two entrees were even ok. I still doubt that the spanish ham was 5 S although they are hanginging everywhere. Ham croquettes were dry. the fried garbanzo was ok. one of the entree was a Sirloin that was charred on the outside undercook inside with a serving of vegetables that was submerged on what appeared to be oil and butter. I had asked for Spanish Potatoes as my side for my langoustines. it was brought as an appetizer. it came back exactly the same 15 minutes later with my main course. Most of the time I give a second chance not this time.

We at at Jamon Iberico last night because of the good reviews and weren't disappointed. It started with the wonderful smell from the kitchen when we entered the restaurant. We started our meal with an excellent mixed salad followed by a really delicious dish called Huevos Rotos (Broken Eggs) with serrano ham - we just loved it. Then Felipe, the owner and chef, came out of the kitchen to greet us at our table. I felt like he was our long lost cousin. He is the warmest, friendliest chef/owner. We then tried a few tapas. Octopus - decent, not great. Fried calamari - ordinary (don't try it). Mushrooms in garlic - very interesting. It was like eating escargot in boiling garlic butter, but without the escargot. We had a lovely time and will surely go back to try other items on the varied menu.

I took my date here on a Friday Night out on a whim from other reviews from our Yelpers out there. Thanks Yelpers, Wow ,this was a great night. We started with Sangria, which was just perfect served in an authentic Sangria Pitcher (it is the little details that counts) As we took in the ambiance with all the colors, pillows, and great background music, this Venue has a definite appeal to the romantic. We shared paella (Seafood) which is custom made (versus most places that just mix old rice and add meats and re-heat) Jamon Iberico put out a very nice paella we both enjoyed. We finished with Creme Brullee, ok lets just give applause here for the way it was presented alone. My date loved it. This Venue is defiantly on my A-List. As for hard to find, It is a Huge White Building with Huge #'s on the Building to show you 'You are Here' and they have Valet Parking. We both laughed because it is so obvious where the Venue is located. I love this Venue...and definitely going back!

We started off with the garlic mushrooms and chistorras. The mushrooms had an interesting flavor, a mix of cheese and garlic- very yummy! The chistorras were mini Vienna sausage- heaven for my Pinoy husband. The paella Valencia was delicious- enough for two people and then some! The cava sangria was refreshing. If you like authentic Madrid cuisine- this place is a must.

One word: Salty!! All of our dishes were incredibly salty, which was unfortunate because I could tell that underneath the excessive salt, these dishes would have been magnificent. A big plus? Warm and fluffy bread! Their sangria was light and fruity. Jamon Iberico: Amazing! Straight off the leg. Cured ham goodness. Grilled Squid: Cooked to perfection in a light olive oil sauce but salty! Razor clams: Salty and sandy Rice in Squid Ink: very yummy and packed with flavor! (a little bit salty) Rice cream: A creamier version of rice pudding. Not too sweet and consists of different fruit compotes. Creme Caramel: It's basically a creme brulee. They give you a small sugar crust topping which turned me off because the sugar wasnt fully caramelized so you were basically eating sugar at one point. I definitely recommend that you should try this restaurant, just tell them to go light on the salt!

Sometimes in A city as large as Miami it's hard to find authentic food with a warm home feel. Well we found it! The service was great, the chef ;Felipe interacts with the guests and is sure to have food made to your liking, but really everything is perfect as it is. My whole family shared a ginormous paella, I don't eat meat so I opted for a fish which was outstanding. Then the dessert! Oh my that creme brûlée was to die for. I recommend this restaurant to everyone that's ask me, "hey what's a good eat!" Even though the name may not roll off the tongue as easy.. you will remember it!

Jamon Iberico Pata Negra, previously known as Jamon Jamon Jamon, is one of the best paella locales in town. Upon arriving you're greeted by chef Felipe who is genuinely excited to serve his customers. The arroz con pollo and arroz sepia are my go-to dishes, and the former is by far the best deal on the menu and can be shared by two people. Additionally, They always seem to have good bread to pair your meals. This place isn't more popular simply due to it's location as it's tucked inside the NeoLofts apartment building.

Excellent spanish place, hidden gem with exquisite food. One of the best plates is the suckling pig, so soft and juicy, even the skin was crispy. Lentil soup fabulous. Would definetely recommend

Dining here took me back to my days in Spain. The 4 tapas we started with, pulpo, Serrano ham, stuffed peppers and potato croquettes were out of this world. The paella was to die for and who can turn down a crema catalana. The only criticism I have has to do with loud music which made it difficult to have a conversation. But on second thought we went there to eat and not talk. So by that measure the night was a success. Ole.

Went to this place for dinner on a Sunday night recommended by a friend and I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff is incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful. The food is absolutely amazing! We had the most delicious fried chickpeas, incredibly flavorful garlic shrimp and mushrooms. They have a wonderful variety of perfectly cooked rice dishes and their seafood soup makes you wish the bowl would never come to an end. I can't wait to go back and try every single dish on the menu. To top it off, the place is very warm and welcoming and Chef Felipe makes the place feel like home, you can tell he truly enjoys what he does and treats all his customers like family.... By the way... AMAZING place if you are celebrating a birthday! Hard to find but completely worth it!

Jamon Serrano? Check. Authentic paella that took 30 minutes to prepare (i.e. fresh)? Check. Friendly service? Check. Nearly impossible to find? Check. If I wanted authentic Spanish food again, I would definitely come here. Four stars.

The place's atmosphere is very traditional, you will suddenly be transported to believe you are in Spain. The food is Excellent! The bread is one of the bests I have ever tried anywhere, the potato and chorizo was simple but refined and authentically spanish tasting, the meat with sautéed garlic and mushrooms reminded me of the same dish you can get in Spain's country side, full of flavor but not complex or overwhelming. The sangria was a truly Spanish sangría with real fruit and juices, good wine, and the bitters from the citrus peels that give you a sweet but slightly bitter aftertaste. The value you get for all is one of the best in Miami as you get great portions and the option of a complete meal for $12.50. Finally, the service is strikingly good for a restaurant in Miami where service in the overall industry is known to be the worst in the country. The chef and owner will come out of the kitchen to make sure you are loving your experience. My only complaint was that their POS is not set to do Tax Exemptions, so if you are tax exempted, expect to pay for it.

Here is the place I waited a year to find, damn if I had only known it was like this. First you have to be lucky to find it as the the Miami river is stone throw away from it. Near the River Hotel, walk to the NEO lofts and your there. This is one of those rare places you dont want others to know but worry it will close if others dont know to come. What a lunch it was for 12.99 my dreams came true to find suckling pig in miami for the first time. The chef comes out to greet everyone and ask if you enjoy the food, another RARE find in Miami. Service was great, glasses were filled three times with out asking, yet another rare find in Miami. Well now I have new spot to bring others...what a joy to find this.

This place was amazing. We greatly appreciated the informative waitress who gave us the background as to what we were eating. She gave us great recommendations and we had a terrific meal. My wife and I split the Jamon Iberico Pata Negra ham which brand was 5j. Outstanding. Probably more outstanding than our inexperienced palettes could comprehend. Delicious. Next up was the fried chickpeas with chorizo. Again, out of the park. Broken eggs with green pepper and ? (Sausage)? Amazing. Finally the main course which was suckling pig. Out of. this world! I can't wait to return!

Let me start by admitting that I may be biased. The extra star is because this gem of a restaurant transported me back to Spain. My visit there was many many years ago. Since then, I have tried Spanish restaurants everywhere from LA to Paris and this was easily the best. I can't say that it is the best Paella ever. Went to Spain as exchange student and was fortunate to stay with a Chef/Caterer and her family. Her Paella had full pieces of Saffron Chicken, Shrimp, etc... However the flavors of the Paella at Jamon Iberico Pata Negra Restaurant Tapas & Wine Bar were just as effective. Our Valencia Paella surrounded one perfectly cooked whole Shrimp. Pieces of Shrimp, Chicken, Ham as well as whole fresh Clams and Mussels were added throughout. In a way, it was probably better for my diet, because I would have devoured whole skin-on Chicken had it been offered. The star of the meal was an appetizer that simply read "Smoked Salmon" on the menu. Oh no no no, it was not just that. What we got was a delicately smoked Salmon Carpaccio, garnished with Chopped Egg, Onion, Spanish Capers, Olive Oil and (smoked?) Paprika. Delish!!! ...For a parse $12. It went perfectly with the fresh baked bread (way better than the hard Pan rolls served everywhere I went in Spain). Our server Juan superbly explained every dish, and recommended the perfect bottle of wine to accompany our meal. Though I am not a fan of late night caffeine, he insisted that I try their Cafe au Lait, and I am so glad he did. Amazing. Unfortunately I went outside while the Chef made his rounds. Will have to go back to thank him and try their famous Suckling Pig next time.

I've been to many tapas places in Miami and I think this is one of the best. We had ham croquettes, garbanzos fritos, chistorras, huevos estrellados, and stuffed mushrooms. Everything was delicious and the portions were perfect. The sangria was excellent, not too sweet. Service was friendly. It's in the Neo Lofts Bldg and directions are easy to find on Google Maps.

Amazing! For starters try the "Hongos al ajillo" and "camarones al ajillio". The bread here is also fantastic. For a main dish get one "arroz negro". Felipe, the owner, is super nice and will make you feel at home.

Incredible experience! The lunch menu is only $12.50 for an appetizer + entree + dessert! Given the food quality, it's the best deal I've found in Miami so far. It's true that the place in hard to find (downstairs a condo, near to the river). There are a few parking spots where you can stay up to two hours for free. The owner, Felipe, came out to greet us several time during our lunch. The service was not exceptional (a bit slow and rude sometimes), that would be something who could be improved. I'm giving 5-stars for the food, and left a nice tip for the cook!

Had the best torta de santiago !

This place is a find (in more ways than one)!! About a 5 minute drive from Brickell on the south side of the Miami River, the restaurant is located in the Neo Lofts building which can be accessed via SW 4th Ave. Downtown Miami and Brickell sure has its share of new restaurants. But homemade and delicious food served in a friendly atmosphere is NOT something you run into everyday. Pata Negra is truly authentic Spanish cuisine, made fresh to order. Our table shared a wide array of Tapas, including Felipe's Huevos Rotos which were scrumptious. Try the Cochinito, or one of the many Arroces (rice) with seafood galore. The wine, Alidis Reserva (from Ribera del Duero), was fantastic! I witnessed Chef Felipe, the owner, personally interact with every single table of patrons. Talk about personal attention! It's not THAT hard to find, so take on the challenge and go find Pata Negra! You'll see it's well worth it.

This place was incredibly hard to find, but worth the adventure. I felt like I had wandered off the Gran Via in Madrid and found a little hole in the wall Spanish restaurant in Spain. The food was fantastic, the service even better, and Felipe the Chef came out to see how we liked everything. Joder!

  • Adam S.

The owner here is friendly as can be. Very nice guy. The service is kind of spotty. It takes forever to get your food and they had a lot of trouble splitting the check. The food is what I would describe "pretty good." I got the arrozo negro which is basically a paella with squid ink , squid, and roasted red peppers. It had a nice flavor, but I was not blown away by it. As a point of reference, I would say that it is not nearly as good as the squid ink risotto dish they have over at sra. martinez. Had a few bites of the filet. It was good, but not great. The sauce was extremely peppery. Not bad, but not amazing either.

My good friend lives in the Neo lofts right above Jamon, Jamon, Jamon. Ever since this restaurant threw an opening paella party at the loft's pool area, and the paella that Chef Felipe cooked up was so delicious, we had been meaning to check out the restaurant and it's other Spanish menu options. We walked in for lunch and were quickly greeted by Chef Felipe, the only cook in this small, yet quaint establishment. Our waiter/cashier/manager suggested and mildly persuaded we sit at the bar rather than at a table because we were just two and not a bigger party. We kind of got the feeling that they didn't want to have to clean up the bigger table since it was getting close to their 3pm lunch closing time. they reopen again at 6pm for dinner. Needless to say. we sat at the bar and opened the menus to find that there was a 3 course lunch menu for only $9.99. It includes appetizer, dinner, and dessert. We ordered the champinones al ajo (garlic mushrooms) yum! and the entrecot steak for lunch. Not bad, but nothing like their paella that we had at the party that day. Now it was time for dessert. I ordered an espresso to go with the dessert. I receive the espresso and it was horrible! It tasted like day old coffee that was microwaved. Still no dessert. I complained mildly about the coffee, and they served me a new one which still tasted bitter and diluted. Still no dessert. We received our bill and at this point we didn't want to bother with it anymore. To add, that espresso was $3. Honestly, this restaurant feels like a kitchen at someone's home. It's lacking a bit of professionalism and restaurant quality. I am quite partial to Spanish restaurants due to my Spanish heritage, but this place needs to get on the ball if they want to remain open. They've been only open for 3 months and they need to up it up. Honestly, these 3 stars go to Chef Felipe and his amazing cooking. Other than that, save yourself the mediocre experience and check back in 3 months. Maybe they'll be on point then.

Excellent Traditional Spanish restaurant, cozy, friendly, and with chances of becoming better!! Food is amazing (they even have a lunch menu a la Miami Spice). The owner (which is the chef), greets you as you seat in your table and comes to check on how everything is during you meal. Wine is really good, not a lot of variety on draft beers, but nothing to be disappointed. The only thing i believe they need to improve is on the service: the waiters try to be friendly, but too friendly that they forget to be professionals as they serve your food and drinks. It is hard to get here, but it worth trying and enjoying it

This is the most authentic and delicious Spanish restaurant in Miami. Chef Felipe and his entire staff are very friendly and welcoming. The wine list is well priced. Don't be put off by the reviews criticizing the location. It's easy to find. Just follow South River Drive to the Neolofts building. Bring your appetite, as the menu offers a lot of great dishes and the portions are generous. A gem.

Had the paella, grilled shrimp and pulpo gallego. The food was good but not amazing. The atmosphere is fun and the chef was very friendly and came over to the table to say thanks. The service was bad. My favorite paella in Miami is still Casa Juancho.

The bread alone is worth coming here for. In my experience, a restaurant that serves excellent bread subsequently turns out to have great food and that was the case. The $12 lunch prix fixe is just an outstanding deal. Had the cream of garlic soup, cochinillo, and flan. This has to be the best food deal in town given price and quality.

I am very happy to have Jamón Jamón Jamón open up downstairs from where I live! Chef Felipe is a great cook and always comes over to say hello. They are still working out a few kinks, especially in service but are very accommodating. Be warned this is an authentic tapas place with traditionally prepared, tasty, and reasonably priced food; you won't find any bells and whistles alongside. The highlights are paella, arroz negro and cochinillo (roast suckling pig) - I cannot recommend the (yet) are the croquettes (sad, I know) Hurry in to support this friendly neighborhood restaurant! They also provide a catering service with a specialty in paellas of all sizes.

After reading about this place on thrillist, we decided to give it a shot. We showed up initially as a group of four, and quickly increased to a group of seven. Even though this seemed to stress out the waiter (possibly owner?), he was more than happy to accomodate us. The little lady and I ordered the seafood paella. I prefer my paella a little more done than this one was. I like the rice to stick to the pan, even though I don't think that is a proper paella. However, even without said pan stickiness, the paella was still stellar. Other members of our group ordered the black rice. This is basically a paella with only squid and squid ink. I loved it. We also had a fair amount of both red and white sangria, which was great. Not too sweet, just the way I like it. At the end of the meal, the waiter told us he was "having the kitchen prepare us some very special desserts." I thought this was a nice touch. But.....we got the desserts, and they weren't very good. We had a rice pudding, and some sort of bastardized creme brulee. With two desserts, and seven people sharing, we still left most of it on the plate. We rationalized by saying how nice it was to send free desserts. When we got the check, the desserts were on there, but much of the sangria appeared to be on the house. No harm, no foul. I would definitely go back. The tapas are authentic. The waiter knows what he is talking about. The paella is some of the best I've had outside of Spain.

I had lunch at Jamon Jamon Jamon located at the Neo Lofts with my friends Jorge and Charles to sample some Spanish cuisine. The menu was very diverse in traditional Spanish dishes and the wine selection was limited but genuine. We started out with some appetizers. Charles had for starters the tomato pate, the pork with apple sauce as an entrée and a dessert. Jorge and I had the scallops in a red sauce that was out of this world. I could not stop dipping the warm bread in the savory sauce. For an entree, Jorge had the catch of the day with their home potatoes and vegetables. I ( Carlos ) had the Cochinillo Asado with rice and vegetables. Have to try it ! Overall meal was fantastic and you can't beat the set price for lunch. Excellent Spanish wine selection (MasCodina Catalan cabernet about $ 27 a bottle a must ) and friendly staff. We recommend this nice little Tapas place located at Neo Lofts. " Carlos del Amo "

Came here for dinner while visiting my sister who lives in the attached high rise... The owner/chef and rest of the staff are VERY friendly and helpful, happy to suggest things and made us feel very much at home. We had some simple tapas (manchego cheese, jamon of course, croquettas); all delicious... I had an amazing steak and everyone was very happy with their paella. I hope they get more popular!! Minus a star for no full bar.

We always go here for the simple yet tasty tapas and some sangria. My favorite is the piquillo relleno w it's yummy pepper sauce. Chef Felipe always comes out to greet us and thank us for coming back :)

This place is fantastic. The experience goes beyond the food. Chef Felipe is awesome, fun, and charismatic. Probably the only downside is that it's located on the first floor of a condominium and difficult to find. The seabass and crema catalana were amazing. Definitely going to go back!

Really enjoyed our meal. The wine was perfect with our meal (red from the Duero region). We had ham, manchego cheese, garlic shrimp, garlic mushrooms and ham croquetas. The tapas were all wonderful. We split a paella and suckling pig for our entree. I would not order suckling pig again. The paella would have been a gracious plenty. Next time i would try a fish. We split the crema Catalana for dessert which was exceptional. Highly recommend this restaurant. Not sure of the neighborhood - we're tourists. Liked the set-up in the restaurant. It is very comfortable.
