If you want good Chinese food on the run, this is the place. Call your order in ahead of time and pull up to the window. Most times they'll say, "You come now". Always fresh, their Egg Foo Young is the best around. The dine-in experience is typical of most good restaurants in any Chinatown. They specialize in food, not ambience. BTW, you can request no MSG, or anything else. I don't eat animal products and the cook listens carefully to all my requests. As was said before, he'll say, "I cook jus fo you." Lovely couple, wife/cashier, husband/cook. I've been a customer for about 20 yr. Good customer service, not like most Miami businesses that think they're doing you a favor by letting you buy from them. BTW, "Take-Out" is their specialty. Drive-thru window for Pick-Up only.

Had the special fried rice (has everything in it), broccoli chicken, and egg rolls everything was so yummy ! With no msg and low sodium (you have to ask for it that way) it still tasted the best. The lady seemed like she was busy and rushy but she was a sweetheart-- she gave me a free soda even though I'm not a regular. Interior could use some work but pshh totally worth the bomb food !! Probably the best chinese food I've had, and about as authentic as it gets. On top of that, very affordable for my empty college girl wallet. :D

I really don't understand how people think this Chinese food was good. Honestly, it was probably the worst Chinese food I've had. I like the Chinese food better in the mall food courts more than this stuff. After all the positive reviews I read on other sites I was completely disappointed in the food. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible.

Do not believe the reviews! We ordered last night and it will be the first and last time ever! After reading so many reviews that state "If you say NO MSG they will listen", I called last night and ordered some fried rice, beef with broccoli, and sweet and sour chicken for Ozzy. When Ozzy made the "no msg" request..the girl paused...and yelled it towards the kitchen, and we swear we heard some chuckling in the background. Needless to say, we got our food, which was just OKAY ( definitely not KamWah or Lee's Chinese on Sunset and 117th), and we literally were sick to our stomach the whole night! Never ever again! The hunt continues for a legit chinese joint in our new hood.

Be forewarned, they use MSG here. If you don't care about putting stuff in your body that doesn't break down naturally, then by all means come on in. But if you do care about your gastrointestinal system, then you should think of something else. I've had the Sesame Chicken, Young Chow Fried Rice, and the Roast Pork Egg Foo Young here. Neither offering was impressive and I was surprised with the lack of flavor. The Sesame Chicken, while truly an American dish, was highly sauced and sesame seeds were at a minimum. The Young Chow Fried Rice was bland but there was plenty of meat. And the Roast Pork Egg Foo Young was a disgrace to the Egg Foo Young name. Parking is limited if the dining room fills up and there is no street parking whatsoever on this stretch of Bird Road. Hopefully when you visit here the parking lot will be full and you'll have to eat somewhere else. You'll thank me later...

was visiting a friend in UM and he said this was the closest chinese place around so we went , I had never had a chinese place disappoint but this one did, the sesame chicken did not taste at all like sesame chicken and it was not crunchy it was soggy, the beef with broccoli tasted funky too and not like beef, luckly i don't live by the area so i would not be back or have a choice to be back.

THIS PLACE USES MSG. Although I am some random person, I ask you to please please do not go to this establishment solely for the safety of your digestive tracts. My roommate orders from here and it is the most disgusting, questionably edible item on this planet. Do not eat from here! If you're thinking about ordering delivery at the very least look at their sanitation standards in person. Already tried reporting to the county (it's THAT bad).

When you call for Take-out and the lady on the phone tells you to "Come now, I cook jus fo you," you can't say you don't feel damn special no matter how many people you see waiting for their order when you get there. Say what you will about the chinese lady who takes your order and the food, but I recommend you go get all your senses checked right away. The lady is not only hilarious (reminds me of the lady with the cigarette y bata de casa in the movie "Kung Fu Hustle"...watch it and get back to me) but she also always gets our order correct, out right away, and continuously throws in free sodas for us. The food, such as the fried rice and lo mein, are not only de-freakin-licious, but it also doesn't leave you feeling disgustingly full or with the desire to call Jenny Craig and tell her all your problems. It's also a block from my house. I'm hoping if I continue going, I can get the chinese lady to adopt me and visit me at my home with yummy packages from her Hong Kong Cafe. I asked my hubby for permission, and he doesn't mind since he also likes the food. Yay

Fast delivery , excellent food! :) will definitely go again. If you're intro great customer service this isn't the place, the lady who runs it and takes the order is always short and a bit rude but she always gets it right and packages the carryout orders perfectly

Definitely love this place. My boyfriend and I are from New York so he's a picky Chinese food eater. This is one of the only places in Miami that he would actually eat from!

I heart Chinese food and this little place on Bird and 67th ave has a pretty good menu with reasonably priced items. If it's the same owner from when it first opened, she knows her stuff! She used to own Yum Yum on Coral Way and 32 ave. The honey chicken and fried rice (because that's just how I roll) is delish! Whenever I'm on that side of town and in the mood for Chinese food, that's where I stop!

One star because it was not completely bad and another star for being cheap. I drove out of my way to have lunch there because I really wanted it to like it. First impression, typical take out joint, at least they have a couple of tables. I ordered the Honey garlic chicken from their lunch menu -choice of 20 complete lunches for $6 so that part is great. The venerable lady brought me a plate with a mountain of pork fried rice, an egg roll, five pieces of chicken and the sauce on the side in a plastic container (?) I started with the fried rice but it was tasteless, I picked on the pork bits, nothing. I'm thinking it's only 1:30 pm how dry can it be? I hadn't eaten anything since the night before so it wasn't like I had ruined my appetite or my taste buds.. I bite into the egg roll, now that's nice. Crispy, not hardened, nice if mild flavor and I don't even like egg rolls in general but that one was a pleasant surprise. The chicken bits looked like small beignets. They were small balls of chicken breast deep fried in the same light batter as the egg roll. I don't usually order deep fried stuff, but at least the oil was fresh and hadn't picked up the smell and flavors of other foods. I bite into one of the chicken nuggets, it's soft, fresh and tastes of ........ chicken. To be exact it tasted of plain chicken breast, no garlic and no spices whatsoever, none! -other than maybe some msg. I tried the sauce, some processed syrup with yellow coloring and honey flavoring, no hint of soy sauce, garlic, ginger or anything that was not artificial. I ended up eating the chicken bits plain, it wasn't all bad because they were freshly made but it was the blandest food stuff I ever ate. I couldn't get into the pork fried rice and asked for a doggy bag - my dogs are not picky when it comes to human food. 8-) When I got home I opened the bag and saw the container she'd given me could only hold maybe half of the rice in that plate I wonder what she did with the rest but I don't really care. Now I like chicken mind you, but when someone says "it tastes like chicken", that not a good thing.

One of the better generic Chinese food places in my area. The honey chicken is superb, and can be eaten on it's own, without the delicious honey-dipping sauce (but, of course, it is better to drench those suckers in honey). Their fried rice is also very good. Personally, I love the beef lo mein, too. The spring rolls are also very good. Small, filled with veggies. The lady taking the orders is sometimes pretty strict, but she knows what she's doing. Everything is always packaged nicely, and is simple to carry. Don't let the interior (and exterior) fool you. The food is fresh and the service is great. I've never eaten inside, though. I recommend ordering the stuff to go. Supposedly there is also a drive-thru, but I've never tried it. So yeah, cheap chinese food on the go, which is actually really good. Go figure!

Stumbled on this place by accident, the owner who answers the phone can be a real pain, even rude - but hey she's running the place. She screams the order to the chef which is her husband. All in all, actually a good thing. She says their fried rice is the best in town and I agree. Order it all the time. Ribs are great. She always throws a coke in for me. Never dined in, she is also the waitress if people are at their tables...but mostly a take out and delivery place. There are places closer to me but I drive farther to get their fried rice and spare ribs.

I am certain that this must be the best take out Chinese food around. First of all, The chicken here is all white meat. Thank you Hong Kong Cafe for realizing that gelatinous chicken is not acceptable.... HKC offers good lunch and dinner specials that come complete with fried rice, egg roll, and drink. The woman who takes orders is extremely on the ball, and every meal comes complete with everything you need to eat it. All the Chinese food standards are very good here. The all white meat chicken makes you wonder why you've ever had general Tso's any other way. The orange chicken here is my favorite chicken dish. I order the happy family when I really want to pig out. It is a pretty happy family. Good mix of seafood and meat. All the dishes Ive eaten here have been good, but certain dishes do feel like better deal than others. The only complaint I can speak of from this place after ordering here dozens of times, is that I do feel like the portions have been slightly reduced recently. I'm not going to say that I am sure of it, but I would prefer a slight price raise over a reduction in portion size, because this Chinese food is so good that I want to have more of it for later. Yes, this Chinese food from here heats up great.

The food is okay. It is not better or worse than the typical Chinese food carry out. However, customer service is lacking. Actually, it is ridiculous! The older man who works there is a bit pleasant, but the older woman is extremely rude(ie. tells you to hurry up and order, slams your credit card down on the table when she's done with it, tells you your lying if you told her you didn't receive something you paid for and ordered, etc.) She did not only do this to me, but to the two people who were in front of me and to my friend who was with me. So obviously this woman's behavior is the norm. I highly value customer service and because this place lacks it-I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
