Unfortunately the worst experience I've ever had with a Chinese restaurant. I called to place an order for delivery one night and had a coupon from their menu. Upon ordering, the person on the phone said they'd honor the coupon *if* I provided my credit card number. I did so and when the food came, the bill did not reflect that the coupon was used, and thus it was not honored for my order. That was displeasing enough and the food itself was mediocre but to make matters worse, days later I find out from my credit card statement that the restaurant wrongfully charged my card twice for the same order! I had to call and dispute these new charges and even though they apologized for the *accident* and said they'll refund me, the fact that they lied about honoring the coupon just to get my credit card number and then made an unauthorized charge to it shows that this is a unbelievably dishonest business that cannot not be trusted.

Went a while ago. From what I remember, it was unspectacular at best. I've ordered takeout from here and I've also gone to their lunch buffet. The service was friendly and the place was family-owned. The place itself was dim but pretty large. The lunch buffet did not have many items. And what they did have wasnt good and it was overcooked. The takeout was halfway decent, but I got chicken wings and ribs. (Hard to mess up). Not the best chinese takeout. It's probably better to get chinese takeout elsewhere (Grand View, Lee's, etc.)

Well, it is cheap-ish Chinese food, apparently not always fresh. Flavor is subpar. My boyfriend and his mother suffered pretty terrible food poisoning after ordering delivery from here last night. (Sweet & sour chicken, fried rice and an eggroll). I didn't partake so I did not get sick. We won't order from here again.

Absolutely DISGUSTING!!! Their buffet includes 2 main entrees, rice, and some sides. I ordered crab ragoon and almost threw up after my first bite. It wasn't cooked thru (it was cold in the center) and it tasted horrible. I don't know how this place stays open. Don't bother with this place.

It pains me to have to downgrade Fortune House since they are close by and everything always came hot and tasty, but I'm afraid I have to join the chorus here. It took THREE HOURS from the time I ordered for the food to finally arrive. After all this they claimed that my order went through without my address(funny thing tho, this didn't stop them from charging my card.) How many times have I ordered from them and my name is on the friggin card?? I tried several times to explain that my fridge was busted and I had no food in the house and this was the reason for ordering out and that i was BEYOND starving. Worse, I explained to the folks at Grub Hub that my phone was having the screen repaired and any calls the restaurant made to get my address would go to vm. (Perfect storm?? Should have seen this coming? yep!) Guess how many missed calls I had when I picked up my phone? I eventually cancelled my order which made what happened next even more ridiculous: the driver finally arrived shortly before 11. Even more amusing was that the final amount he charged me was $2 more than the food cost because he had given himself a tip. Needless to say, I sent him and the food back. This ends what had been a good relationship. After this long of a wait the food should have been on the house, which is exactly what Grub Hub offered to do. Too bad they didn't have any sway with this driver. Basic customer service isn't their thing and if it wasn't for GH I would not have received a refund. Note to Fortune House: I WAS YOUR ONLY POSITIVE REVIEWER ON YELP. how does the saying go? Be the change you want to see in yourself.

The all you can eat lunch buffet for $4.99? They only have two or three options plus rice and packaged fortune cookies. The food was very mediocre, cooked in way too much sauce. Plates were watery, like they weren't dried off properly after washing. The silverware was handed to me out of a caddy instead of being wrapped. Talk about a throwback to the 1970's: wooden, dark paneling with dirty commercial grade carpet. I do not recommend this place at all.

This was probably one of the worst take out experiences I've had to date. I ordered my dinner through the new EAT24 app. After an hour and a half wait and a conversation with EAT24's 'where's my food' rep Sammi, my food arrived cold and beyond appetizing. I WILL NOT be ordering from them again.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
