My first time at a Firehouse Subs. I had the White Chicken Salad sandwich on wheat. OK sandwich. Good, but nothing special. I wouldn't say that I prefer Firehouse over Subway or Quiznos. Not yet, at least.

in the mood for a good sub - then stop here... this place is very good. we have been here on several occasions and the food and service are consistency. it is a welcoming place and has nice chooses on the menu. today our family was split between places for lunch, this one and chick fillet which is my next review... glad i stuck with this one.. I had my usual a Italian sub - this was small one and consist of Genoa Salami, Pepperoni, Ham, Provolone Cheese and Italian Dressing sprinkled with Italian Seasonings Fully Involved (which means complete with Mayo, Mustard, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and a Dill Spear on the side, a bag of chips and drink. this is a very nice hearty portion and it was delicious as usual........

Pretty much like other Firehouse Subs I've visited, always great food and service. This location, I've always visited in the evening for dinner times. They've always been quick to take your order and complete your order. And the plus I've seen from this place is that they usually bring your order to you where you're seating if dining in-- always a great touch in service.

This is my first time here and probably my last. I'm not impressed. First, the guy taking our order was so tired he had to lean on the counter while he took our order. I felt we were keeping him awake. Second, no Dr Pepper. Third, too much oil on the subs. My bread was soggy and there was a pool of oil in the bottom of the basket. And fourth, staff members had their pants hanging down so you could see their underwear. There is s time and place for everything, when I'm eating I don't want to see a guy walking around with his butt hanging out. It's unsanitary and makes me wonder what is happening in the back area that I can't see. I get it's a Saturday night and everyone would rather be somewhere else, but the store was rather empty and the service was poor. Very disappointed!

Fast food sub shop much better than Subway or Quiznos but not as good as a higher end deli. The service tends to slow down during busy times but the wait is reasonable. The subs come in 8 or 12 inches white or wear bread and the don't skimp on the ingredients unlike Subway. They are similar to Publix subs in quality but Publix has better bread. They do have a large variety of hot sauces to choose from, ranging from 1 to 10 on the heat index as well as your typical variety of chips and drinks. They have several tables, a couple of tv's and clean bathrooms. They have several locations around Florida. This location is in the same place as Elevation Burger, Sushi Runner and Chick Fil-a, so a good spot for lunch.

My favorite sub here is the Engineer. I've tried all their turkey subs and I love them because the meat is sliced thin. The price is great for the portion. Also, hands down the best chocolate chip cookies are here! They're chewy and very delicious. If I had to choose between other sub shops such as Subway and Quiznos, Firehouse Subs takes the cake!

Don't get me wrong, firehouse makes good subs. However, this is my second time ordering from this location and it is the second time they have screwed it up. Except this last time I actually had to pay more money for something I didn't get (cheese on my blt). I get it, it's lunch time rush...your busy...but step up the customer service and pay attention to what customers order. I'll probably just stick to sub serious in Miami Lakes because I'm not sure I want to take the chance of another screw up..only to find out when I get back home. Disappointed....

Great sub shop. I stopped going to Subway after going here. The menu is great and the sandwiches are large- be hungry or prepared to save half if you order the 12".

I've only been here once so I can only comment on this 1 experience. If I go again I will update this. I got a Sweet Thai Chili pulled pork sub. I didn't like it at all. It was insanely sweet. I was expecting sweet, but not like this. I choked down half the sub and couldn't eat the other half. I think the guy put way too much sauce on it or something. My sub was soggy from the sauce. The guy I was with took a bite of mine and retched. I also tried a cherry limeade which I didn't like either. I was expecting something like from Sonic's but instead it tastes like cherry syrup with no hint of lime at all. It tasted exactly like cherry Koolaid and it wasn't carbonated. I would never get it again. The person I was with got a Steak & Cheese sub which he said was good but had very little cheese, they put like 1 slice on it. You'd think with a sub that was primarily steak and CHEESE it would have more cheese. We waited 10 minutes for our subs in an empty restaurant and somehow when they finally gave them to us they were cold *shrugs*. Next time I go I'm going to pick a different less sweet sub because even though this experience was bad for me, it still beats Subway. Also, the staff was nice and the store itself was clean.

I was definitely impressed with this Firehouse Subs. First of all, the people who took care of my order were... smiling! This took me completely off guard because in Miami, particularly the Miami Lakes/Hialeah area, quality customer service is somewhat of a foreign concept. I ordered the Momma's Homemade Chicken Salad as it was late and I was just looking for something light. Much to my surprise, this salad was massive. I'm not sure whether it was because I was not that hungry or because the salad was actually that large, but I couldn't even eat half of it despite it being super delicious. The ingredients were fresh, the lettuce was crisp and the dressing was a great touch. However, I would recommend to whomever likes to drench their salad in dressing to request extra as they are given to you in two thimble sized to-go cups. Oh, and the chocolate chip cookie and fancy soda machine with a million different flavors were great too.

I have eaten the NY Steamer and it is good. I also like the brisket with cheddar and bbq. This is a much better alternative to subway.

The subs here are very good and filling. My favorite is club on a sub, which comes with ham, turkey, cheese, bacon, lettuce & tomatoes. I've only tried one other kind of sub before, but can't remember what that was like thanks to this sub. They also have a firehouse sauce that has a bit of a kick to it. If you're into a bit of spice I recommend you to try it but it's not for everyone. The employees always seem to greet me on the way in "Welcome to Firehouse" so thats always a plus. If you haven't tried this place yet, I recommend you do.

I've always considered Firehouse subs to be just OK, I really like the Cherry Limeade more than whatever I ate until they introduced the King Hawaiian Pork & Slaw. It's supposed to be a limited time offer, but I am sure it will make the permanent menu because it's just that good. I suggest trying it before you can't.

I really like this place. It can get really busy around lunch time, but they are still pretty quick. The employees make this place. They are above average in comparison to many fast food joints. Quite a few here such as Benjamin and Hoote (and more!) who make ordering more enjoyable. :)

I've been to this location a couple of times. While I've noticed I never see the same people twice the staff is always friendly. The counters are clean & so are the tables! (BIG plus!) I've had a couple of different subs the last one I had was the Firehouse Hero - it was great and big enough to feed 2 people! Will return.

Clean place and a friendly staff. I really dislike the soda machine with 9 Billion flavors as the sodas always taste funky. Subs are not bad but nothing to go crazy about. Don't get me wrong, this place kills subway but I'd like to see more meat like the mom and pop sub shops and delis. Plus is the kids love this place with the firehouse theme.

I decided to stop in at Firehouse Subs after my usual long day at work. The Miami Lakes location is brand new and I love trying places that are brand new (CLEAN!). The interior of the place is very cute. There are some fireman uniforms and the tables are all Dalmation print. There are two TV's inside with the news and sports on and the place is pretty airy. There is a huge selection of hot sauce for those of you that like spicy food. The price of a combo meal is $8 dollars, which is above Subway and Quiznos, but I think this place is better than both of those chains. I had the Hook and Ladder which is turkey and honey ham with melted provolone. I added mayo, mustard and lettuce. This particular sandwich is served warm and you can have a pickle if you like. There is a medium size sandwich option (8") or large (12"/footlong). I loved it. It was warm, super fresh and hit the spot. There are chips, cookies and brownies if you want a salty or sweet fix with your sandwich. Firehouse Subs also has their own chili, a chef's salad, cold subs (tuna salad and white chicken salad) and a kid's menu. You can order your sub ahead of time online and go pick it up in 30 minutes. I have yet to try that but I plan on returning to Firehouse Subs. It really was delicious! Another cool thing about this place is that the cups feature the stories of firefighters that have done heroic deeds. This place was literally founded by firemen and they really make it a point to support their own. As someone with a fireman in the family I think this is a great concept and a cute little place. They have restaurants throughout South Florida so check the website for the location nearest you. I don't think you'll be disappointed, I know I wasn't.

Stopped by this place for lunch today. New year new eats, right?! Had the cheese steak sub on whole wheat and a bowl of chili. It was good. Bread was warm, cheese steak was cheesy and steaky and the chili was hot. Nicely themed around firehouses and firemen - obvously.

I love firehouse subs! It is my favorite fast food place ever. They blow Subways out of the water. When I was going to school in Orlando it was my daily diet. I live in Miami now so its a little far away, but I still make the journey as often as I humanly can. They even give you a free Sub on your Birthday! Who does that...they do! I have tried all the subs but my all time favorites are Meatball and the Italian. The parking lot always has spaces available and its in the same lot as a Chick Fil A, (also treasure not easily found in Miami) so you can go to both restaurants if you are with someone who doesn't like subs.
