$18 tab over lunch and all I had was a vegetable burrito with melted cheese on top. $14 burrito plus $1 extra cheese, plus tip. No drink ordered. Way too expensive.

When my friend and I first looked at the menu, we were pretty shocked at the prices - they were significantly higher than all the mexican restaurants we usually frequent. But we were seated, so we stayed. I ordered the sampler platter and my friend ordered the fajitas. Everything on my platter was burnt to a crisp - I couldn't eat anything - and I'm really not picky about food - but man was it bad! I actually complained about my food - which I never do, and the waitress took it off the bill, which was nice of her. So I shared my friend's fajitas - which were delicious. But they charge $15, they give you three tortillas... Three... So we ordered more and they actually charge you per tortilla. Overall, the restaurant was overpriced, the waitress was hard to find, and my food was awful. Ugh.

Twice this place has stolen my credit card number..TWICE! I gave it the benefit of doubt the first time but the second time it would be impossible for it to not have been them. Never coming back again! BE CAREFUL if you pay with your debit card, better yet and to avoid a headache, pay cash!

I am a regular customer and always pleased of the service and food, unfortunately today isn't the best day for service so far... Still at table waiting for food, waiter took over 15 minutes after drinks to come take the order.. Hope the food can make up

Very friendly and helpful servers. Cute and quaint little Mexican place with a great selection of drinks and food. Great margaritas and amazing chillaquiles! Definitely planning on going back!

The service was awesome, the atmosphere was exactly what you would expect from a quaint Mexican restaurant. The servers have these mics they talk into "chips for table 4" that expedited things. The food was really good- table side guacamole was great, hubby had Cochinita Pibil very good, my steak was somewhat over cooked otherwise they would get 5 stars!

Great Mexican place close to home that's and authentic flavor. Been to the Lincoln Rd. location many times and later found out this location closer to home. They have the same quality on either locations and service delicious Mexican favorites. Prices aren't so bad and the services is perfect ! They have a homemade Guac prepared in front of you (must try). Their tacos are delicious as well as their burritos. The staff is always patient and give you suggestions if requested. The decor is very festive, what I love the most is the countdown clock to 5 de Mayo. lol So if you're in the area and need a Mexican fix, come see these guys.

This is my new go-to for Mexican food. The fondido de queso was served bubbly hot with fresh warm tortillas...the chimichanga was so yummy and enough for at least two meals, and don't forget to try the spicy quava margarita..OMG. Great service and atmosphere also.

We were looking for a perfect place to have my fathers 80th. We had to find a place that was good for vegetarians also. They were amazing Taking care of a large party of 18. Service was impeccable. Good choices with all types of food and option for our special requests. Would higher recommend this place if you're looking for great Mexican food. Miami has very few good Mexican restaurants..

Went with family for dinner (weeknight). I enjoyed the margaritas (though much cheaper and stronger can be found a few blocks down at "lime"). The waitstaff is attentive. My fav are the beans--- yum! The guacamole is also good, then again, I love avocado in all forms. I find the food to be a bit $$$, then again, there are not many good choices for "Mexican" restaurants in kendall, so I will continue to come here when craving Mexican, regardless of price. Bill for 4 people was about $120 plus tip. We each had plate of food and drink, plus appraiser to share. The look of the restaurant is appealing, though it is found in a shopping center. It gets busy on weekends, about 15-20 minute wait. Indoor/outdoor seating (I enjoy indoor as outdoor view is of parking lot).

Fresh, clean, tasteful & authentic! Margaritas were SOOO good Queso fundido with chorizo was amazing The guac was heavenly The steak chimichanga was HUGE and delicious The chicken tostadas = decadent! Don't miss the churros for dessert !

Called ahead and tried to order my meal ahead. Attendant on phone asked for my name and phone number which I gave. When he totaled my order out it was approx 65.00 plus, at which time he told me that he needed my CC info which I explained I was driving in rush hour and it would be hard to do that. He then told me that he would not order it until I arrived there. I told him that he should Comp me a drink and he said he couldnt do that. I told him that what he was asking me to do was the same as walking off the street and ordering the least he could then was to comp me a drink. Question why did he ask for the cell number if he was going to require a CC number. Really terrible phone service wouldn't recommend this place to Anyone. Based on the experience, won't be eating here again.

So if you read my reviews you all know that Mexican food is one of my favorite foods. I've been to El Rancho Grande Mexican restaurant in Kendall a lot of times with my wife and family but I just found out last night when we went to celeberate my soons Holiday show that it has the same owner of Tequizitlan on South Beach (Great place). Once again the service was great, Andres did a wonderful job was charming and made us feel at home. Kids shared the fajitas, wife had a quesadilla, MIL had tacos, the lil one had a kids steak and I of course had the burrito! Oh we had the queso frito as an appetizer. Btw, Thrusday is ladies night half off margaritas. If your in the area and are craving Mexican, check them out!!!!!!

Very good burrito and service although restaurant was hot with the door being opened often on a scorching hot day. I'll be back though for sure.

The service was excellent. As, soon as we were seated, a server brought us homemade chips and salsa, another brought water, and a third took our drink orders. Our server quickly came by to greet us and introduce herself. Four people waiting on us in a span of two minutes. Three adults shared the Mexican Parillada, which was absolutely delicious. Imagine a large fajita platter loaded with jumbo shrimp, chicken, beef, Mahi - Mahi, onions, peppers and tomatoes, accompanied by guacamole, beans, yellow rice, sour cream and warm tortillas. For dessert we ordered the fried ice cream which was beautifully presented in a fried tortilla bowl and served with fresh strawberries, bananas, whip cream and drizzled with chocolate. The food, service, and ambient were all excellent. We will definitely return.

I dined as a solo female, wearing casual clothing running errands after work. I was handed a menu and sat in the very back where all the staff congregate so that the staff could see me and would not forget to take my order. I put the menu down and was looking around which indicated I was ready to order. Ignored for 30 minutes, staff waking all around me, including the blonde lady who sat me down in the beginning. I flagged someone down and she took my order, very polite. Disorganized as no one knew who was doing what and no one checked if anyone took my order. Or it could be that they ignore solo females because they think we tip badly. Overpriced and they use fillers. Pleased when these ginormous crunchy ground beef tacos arrived until I saw the filling. They were 90% lettuce. What they do is mix a few pieces of beef into the shredded lettuce, then they fill the taco with the lettuce mixture and top with minimal cheese. It was basically lettuce and shell. Same with the steak burrito, filled with 90% rice. I asked for no beans in it but still barely got any beef, only tiny bits, and it was not tasty, not for those prices. This place is pretentious, trying to present as a sophisticated high class restaurant with their black shirts and ties. NOT!! Probably trying to mimic the beach location who dresses for tourists. I've never tasted the food at the Miami Beach location but this Kendall location is tasteless low quality food and way overpriced. Obviously they have no quality control measures in place or they wouldn't be serving this stuff. I'll not return.

Came with co-workers for lunch. Food is absolutely delicious. The staff is so friendly and extremely attentive. The bathrooms are clean and well kept. Today was the cinco de mayo celebration and they had mariachis performing. Only complaint was that it was freezing so bring a sweater. Restaurant is small but definitely a must try.

Great food, but horrible service. It is a little pricey for the area; this is not South Beach. Also had one of the most evasive forms of payments in those tablets. I loved the flavors but the waiter Jorge left a bad taste in our mouth!

  • Rachel N.

This place is delicious ! BUT super pricey... I've had better Mexican food for way cheaper. The only thing that I will go back for is the guac ... it's amazing.

  • Reina T.

This place is as authentic as any place in Homestead. I had the most tastiest guava margarita in town, and delicious chicken tostadas. The guacamole is no longer table side and I was not wowed by it. Will definitely continue enjoying this little gem we discovered.

  • Ailyn Q.

Best authentic Mexican restaurant in the Kendall area. They have a very good turn around going even on a busy Saturday night. They are very efficient at seating the guests. Anything you order is delicious! If you like guacamole, I think theirs is the best in town. They even make it right in front of you. The drinks are amazing! Margaritas are a must-have. They are also very up to date technologically. They have a small tablet where you swipe your own card and have the option of printing the receipt or e-mailing it to yourself.

Found this restaurant through Urban Spoon, so we went without having read any reviews. Needless to say , everything we ordered (and we ordered a lot ) , was delicious. Even though there was not an empty table during the time we went , we were waited on promptly . Entrees came out lightning quick . Not to mention someone was constantly passing by to see if we needed anything. Would definitely go back , yet I need to remember not to gorge myself... I'm stuffed!

I dropped one star because service is always an issue here. The food is always delicious but too often I run into service problems here. There is one server who is always great with us, I think his name is Christian. Unfortunately every other server I have ever had here always has some type of issue.

No matter where the road takes me, I always end up here. I've been to many Mexican restaurants in the hopes of finding that "greener" place only to come right back to El Rancho Grande. I have to say that it's by far my fav spot for Mexican. Hadn't been in a long while and today decided to come back for dinner with some friends. The place was packed. We were told that it would at least be a 30 min wait, but we were seated within minutes. Which is an automatic star. When you're with 4 hungry children time is of the essence. The service is on point. We had at least 3 waiters tending to our needs, never leaving our basket of fresh chips and salsa empty. The margaritas where perfect, not to sweet and not to strong. My favorite choice are the tacos al carbon. Perfectly seasoned and just right. The Burrito is huge and full of flavor. The fresh guacamole made right at your table has to be the best I've had. All in all this place does not disappoint. They get it. Good service and good food.

  • Mario S.

Best Mexican food in the area without having to go to homestead!! My fiancé and I have had the tacos (all options), flautas, chimichanga, fresh guacamole and rice and beans. My only complaint is the rice tastes like it was cooked in the morning and on the warmer all day. Mix it with beans and it doesn't matter lol!

    (4)
  • Yedelin T.

The food was good but a little pricey, I ordered 4 tacos and it was $16. The space is also a little crowded.

  • Katherine B.

Really really good food, staff super attentive. I used to go once or twice a month but since they start charging $5 for sharing a plate I never went back again. Its not about the 5 dollars its just that it feels uncomfortable when u want to share something and you are told the they charge you $5 for doing that. The last time i went with my husband and we were not really hungry so we decided to share but never again.

Great Mexican food. We order delivery from there. The chicken burrito (I get it without lettuce to prevent sogginess from the travel) is SUPER good. I consider myself a burrito connoisseur, and this one is in my top 5. That's huge. The al pastor tacos are great as well. The guacamole is fresh and the salsas are delicious. Our delivery order is always correct, and always on time. Really great neighborhood Mexican spot.

  • Carlos R.

Great "Mexican" food with good variety and chef specials. Ambience is great with friendly staff and pleasant decor. They squeeze fresh limes to prepare drinks. Here you'll not see enormous amounts of bland rice and beans in your plate like in every other restaurant. The stuffed plantains are a winner, ask for the homemade sauces.

  • Anais D.

Amazing food. Authentic. Delicious. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is due to their service dropping off lately.

    (4)
  • Miriana M.

This place is always packed yet the service remains solid! Seems the staff is on top of everything without making the guest feel that way. Their guacamole is by far, one of the best ones I've tried in Miami! I ordered one of the underdog items (compared to others) on the menu, fish tacos and they were delicious!

Love this place! They have real mexican food. The pricing is not cheap but definitely worth it. Will be coming back soon

Growing up in Arizona I take Mexican food very seriously. This has to be one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to outside of Arizona. Tableside guacamole is a must have. This is a vegetarians dream restaurant my girlfriend had the vegetable chimichanga and it was stuffed with at least eight different vegetables not your typical onions mushrooms and peppers. I had the chili Rellenos and the flavors were outstanding. The inside is cute. tThe server was great they have cold beer on tap and great margaritas. I'm just sorry I live too far away but if I'm passing through Kendall again I will definitely stop in.

We love El Rancho Grande! The food is outstanding, the service is always fast and friendly- great experience every time! We love the platano rellenos and chips and salsa appetizers. For our entree we share the fajitas- plenty of food for 2 adults. The fajitas are just awesome! But please save room for the tres leches dessert! Unlike traditional tres leches this one is laced with rum and is just ridiculous!!! Excellent Mexican food in kendall- thank you el rancho grande!

Came here with one of my best buds tonight to get some take out. I've actually been here a few times, so they've definitely done me right in the past. Anyhow! Service was great. Even though we weren't going to eat at the restaurant, the staff was very attentive. They offered us drinks and seats while we waited for our order. I got chicken flautas and my friend got a burrito. With tax, the whole thing came out to about $27, so it's affordable. The food came out pretty fast and then we rushed to my house to eat and exact revenge on a board game (a story for another day). As usual, El Rancho Grande did not disappoint. The flautas were crispy and yummy, and the refried beans...dabomb.com. The rice was alright, nothing special, but it did taste really good when I mixed it with the beans, which once again were dabomb.com . My friend didn't like that they didn't cut the burrito in half (so he couldn't pick up the whole thing), but that was his only complaint. The chips were good and fresh. I didn't like the salsa too much, but that's just personal preference--my friend liked it. I ended up just dipping the chips in the beans...once again, dabomb.com . Overall, good experience. I'll keep coming back. Try the beans!

Great breakfast. Great service. Great Rancho ambiance. Not so great: they offer Mex bread at the table w/o saying it is not free. Not great at all: the roach leg in my coffee.

Good food and service. We ordered the mixed parrillada that is like $36 and shared, it is good enough for 3 to 4 people.

Outstanding!!! First of all, whoever doesn't rate this restaurant 5 stars has no taste buds. Food is amazing, drinks are fabulous and the deserts are homemade. I don't hesitate to say that it's the best Mexican restaurant in Miami.

  • Steve B.

Excellent authentic Mexican food, customer service has never been an issue. I have gone several times and the food just gets better. The sides of rice and beans could be bigger when ordering a meal but nonetheless it's pretty good.

I visited this restaurant due to the good reviews, however, my experience was not even 2 stars. I ordered the chicken fajitas, added beef and shrimp, however, I get onion fajitas instead. The tray was all onions, miraculously I found 4 small chicken bites, 3 beef bites and 4 shrimps. This is certainly a rip off. The beef tasted like rubber, it didn't even had salt, it was definitely un eatable. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody. Every one at the restaurant was very attentive with the exemption of my waitress, forgot to give me straws, dishes and utensils. Had to catch him for water. Overall experience, not good at all.

Well this was a surprise! Great (non-chain) mexican food right in our backyard in Kendall. We were craving mexican last weekend and Yelp informed us that this seemed to be the place to go (proximity, great reviews, etc.). We were not disappointed. The servings are large, and the food is tasty. I had the mango and passionfruit margaritas, and they were some of the best margaritas I've ever had. My wife and I both agreed that the tres leches was one of the best we had ever had. I believe they use a bit of Rum and/or Kahlua in it. We'll definitely return.

Place was delicious!!! If you are craving Mexican food definitely recommend this place. Hit all the right spots yummmm very flavorful. Sat outside and the weather and atmosphere was great. Place was packed which tells me they had good food from the get go. Not loud enough where you can't have a conversation with those at your table. Without a doubt coming back.

Best Mexican spot in Miami/Homestead area. My boyfriend & I have driven all the way from Key Largo one night just to come here. He is half Mexican & from LA so we have tried nearly every Mexican restaurant in Homestead to try to match up to the Mexican food in LA. This place does it for us!!

Food is amazing and very authentic. Guacamole is a must! Had the tacos once - very good, as well as the chimichanga - very filling and good! Service was also really good!

What a great place to dine, I love Mexican food period and this place has a awesome selections. If you like burritos they are the best. The service is so good, we had a great experience here so come and eat all you want, you will love it.

  • Jennifer D.

The food was good but the service is atrocious. We called from work to place a to-go order and no one answered. We decided to go in-person. We let them know that we want to place a to-go order. The lady takes one of my coworkers orders and then completely ignores us three and leaves. We let her know that we will also like to place orders. Once she takes our orders, it takes forever and ever to come out. No one smiled at us the entire time we were there. No one updated us on the status of the order. They can really use some customer service training.

Best type of Mexican there is not sure if it's authentic but delicious. Went with a dear friend and she tried to take home the guy that makes the tableside guac. I had a chimichanga and it was delicious. The margaritas were a nice touch. Definitely recommend.

By far my favorite Mexican restaurant in Miami! Love the table side Guac and the tortilla soup!

    (5)
  • Beatriz A.

Best burritos in Miami! Even though each burrito is $14 it is worth it. I have not tried anything else but the burritos because it is addicting! The guava margarita was very bitter and strong.. Not what I expected. So I'd only go for the food.

    (4)
  • Veronica J.

Been here before and there seems to have been some changes..and not good ones. They use to fry their tortilla chips in house. The ones today seem to have been bought. The salsa had no consistency. Very watery and not much flavor. I had the carnita tacos lunch "special". Not sure what was so special about it because that is all you get. Three tacos...that's it. No rice...no beans. They do give you a cup of chicken and rice soup that is just alright. The tacos were good...that is why I gave them three stars. The carnita was tender and seasoned well. So for lunch...three tacos....a bottle of coke and I spent $16.00!!!!!! Yeah...they won't be seeing me any time soon.

Operation hours are incorrect. Came at 9:35pm and was refused service. Never going back. I've owned a restaurant and as much as it sucks for a customer to show up at 9:55 pm I never refused service.

  • Mike R.

The absolute best guac in town! Made fresh in front of your eyes. The service here it's excellent, the servers are regular ans its cool to get to know them. My recommendation is to try the queso fundido with chorizo.

    (5)
  • Miguel R.

Wow! This place has gotten better with time. The food is excellent. The chef has a unique style for presenting traditional Mexican food. The plantain tacos are incredible. The burrito is amazing. One person cannot eat a whole one; and the flavor is out of this world! Their guacamole is excellent as well.

  • Denise P.

Can I just tell you what an amazing restaurant this is? The food is outstanding, desserts and the servers are fantastic! The Margaritas are a different animal my friends. The Margarita flavors and infusions are not only creative but incredibly delicious! Highly recommend the table guac, limonada fresca (house made lemonade not that Minute Made nonsense) and the flautas are my favorites. Great atmopshere!

    (5)
  • Ilyssa P.

The best! We love this place. Not just the food but the ambiance, music selection, and service. I love the queso fundido, guac, tostadas, platanos rellenos, soups... What don't I love?! Didn't care for the flautas. Oh and for dessert, tres leches is delish with a cappuccino! :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! margaritas are awesome and do a great job at getting you very drunk very quickly (btw Thursdays is ladies night). everything is always delicious every time I go. my favorite items are the guac, they make it fresh at the table, and also the carnitas tacos are amazing. for dessert I love the buñuelos and the fried ice cream. Rancho Grande never disappoints!

  • Tammy Y.

I highly recommend this Mexican restaurant. The food, drinks and atmosphere are great. The food is fresh, large portions, and tastes authentic. I have thoroughly enjoyed anything I've eaten there and the mango margaritas.

  • Ingrid R.

Salty. That's the first word that comes to mind when I think of my dining experience at El Rancho Grande. I had been a handful of times to their new restaurant on the beach and hoped that it would be as good but it wasn't. The guac was way too salty, the tacos salty, everything was just overloaded with salt. Our server was extremely nice although she did forget the soup I ordered as an appetizer (to be fair, I also forgot but you can blame that on the margaritas). I did appreciate that the place was packed and they were able to accommodate our party of 4 and a baby. Nah, I think I'll stick to their beach location.

    (2)
  • Joseph S.

The service lacked today... The people that sat after us got their drinks, guacamole, and food all before we got our order taken... Not acceptable... We got no plates to share our appetizers... The guacamole was sub par... Anything you ordered took forever. I had to get my own ketchup... On the other hand the food was good....

Oh how I love Mexican food and it is so hard finding great Mexican food here. After reading so many awesome reviews we had to check this place out. The location is awesome tucked away in a strip center. It is off the beaten path which is nice, with all the traffic in this area. Just went back last week with some out of town guest and we had yet another fantastic meal. The queso dip is amazing, highly recommend with the fresh tortillas. Oh my then the table side guacamole that we tried last week was almost perfect. The only thing it was missing was some major spice. I did ask our wonderful server for some hot sauce and it helped. The burritos are ginormous here, bigger than your head, no really they are. A couple in our group attempted to eat it all but of course failed miserably. I had the steak fajitas and they were very tasty. I enjoyed them I would just ask them to cook more to a medium rare as they were overcooked for my taste. Every single dish I have had here is very good and our guest from Chicago (where they have great Mexican restaurants) really enjoyed it as well. My only wish is if they had one closer to my house. The margaritas are OK and they have very sweet sangria and beer, prices are reasonable and service is great!

    (4)
  • Max T.

The food had good flavors. Prices were ok. The place was packed, the service people were nice, but they were swamped. They desperately need a hostess that does nothing but hosting during certain hours. Some people get seated ahead of those who arrived first and there is no legitimate waiting list or organization to the waiting process. The margaritas were small, the spicy margarita was good. The poblano chicken, I have had better, but it was good. The fajita was heavy on onions and peppers, light on the protein.

El Rancho Grande! My friend got me hooked on this, well .. actually "Guava Margarita" got me hooked on this restaurant. I had to try them .. as a Cuban, guava has always been a staple. Anyhow, the food! yes, the food is tasty. I have gotten (and enjoyed) the table guacamole, the veggie tostadas & the veggie fajitas. I usually get the tostadas and the boy gets the fajitas we are always pleased and the portions are quite generous. .. HOWEVER the service is for the most part good with the exemption of the last time we went, which was about 2 weeks ago. We got a girl with a pretty unfriendly attitude who was annoyed when there were no tables for her to sit us at. The bartender even realized this and decided to attend us herself. Unfortunately we got this girl again making our guacamole and she didn't even ask us how it was or even really looked at us (unlike the other waiters we had had in the past) overall this girl really ruined my experience and this is why I am giving Rancho a 4 rather than a 5. They had it good till she went and treated us this way.

C'mon, this place should have 5 stars! Awesome food, great service, reasonable prices. The locale is enviting and the staff makes you feel welcome. Best of all, it's consistent. More than 5 years in Kendall, this place is established, but always consistent. This is as close to authentic as you can get outside of Mexico. I love people that complain about nonsense, give one star, but eat all their food? If the place is so bad, how come you eat the food then? Chances are your taste buds are dead anyway, so you just disregard those reviews I guess. Hey, they have multiple locations and they're all successful. What does that tell you? These people know what they're doing! Best Mexican in town!

  • Vito L.

This place was awesome from the beginning! Short wait for a table, excellent service, and excellent food. The guacamole is made fresh and in front of you. The best margarita was the passion fruit. It was AMAZING! I had the Mexican plate. Awesome! My wife had the soft steak tacos. Probably the best tacos we ever had. For dessert we had the tres leches! AWESOME! I highly recommend this establishment. 5 stars all the way!

I found my new favorite Mexican restaurant thanks to fellow yelpers. Elm rancho grande is in a strip mall in west kendall , however don't let the location fool you , this restaurant delivers amazing food and drinks. Try their sangria it's the bomb digity!

I'm from Texas home of amazing Mexican food! This place is not that great. The service is ok. The waitress was nice but not attentive. She didn't ask if we were ok or needed anything else. The salsa and chips was pretty good so I had high hopes. I ordered green sauce enchiladas, they were ok too much sauce. The rice tasted like vitamins and the beans out of the can. My partner ordered the burrito which was a bit dry inside. The meat was seasoned well. But not impressed at all. Not worth what we paid.

went here for dinner with my 12 year old son and my 8 year old girl. we ordered their nachos for our appetizers. great! tasted really yummy, the black beans gave it that extra pow! yummy cheese too. the kids ordered a hamburger and chicken nuggets with quesadilla. I felt their kids menu is a bit over priced. that's the only reason I gave it 4 stars. I ordered the chicken and steak fajitas and a traditional margarita. make that 2 margaritas. the food is great, I just think $80 for 3 meals and a appetizer is bit too much.

We absolutely love this place! We have dined in and had take out and are yet to be disappointed. They get pretty busy on weekends so get there early or prepare to wait. Their guac is made table-side which guarantees it's freshness and allows you to customize as you wish. Their tortillas and salsas are fresh and tasty. I always order the plantain appetizer, which is a simple but delicious dish consisting of ripe fried plantains topped with a variety of their proteins - pork, chicken, carne asada, along with queso blanco and cilantro. It is meant to be an appetizers but NFG over here and down the chute it goes without shame each and every time. My husband loves their chicken tacos which I've never cared to even taste since I'm usually having a moment with my platanos. The also serve killer margaritas and have live Mariachis on Wednesdays (I think.) It's a nice spot to have a fun, delicious Mexican feast.

Awesome mexican food! We happened on this gem (thanks YELP!) during a futbol match, and the place was pretty hoppin'. They even have a little tapas menu along with $4 drinks that is only available during a match. Bingo! We tried a few dishes and everything was good. Platanos something - meat on top pf sweet plantains with cheese and crema on top - my favorite! Beef tacos - simple but tasty. Sopa de Res - we were warned that it was spicy. And boy was it spicy! Hubby almost couldn't handle it! Appetizer sampler - the flautas were meh. The quesadilla was barely two bites. But the mini chimichanga and black bean dip were awesome! When we go back I would definitely order a chimichanga and maybe the platanos thingies. Everyone else's dinners looked great!

This place is amazing! I have been here about 3 or 4 times already in the last month and I just cant get enough. Every single meal is great and so are their drinks. I really enjoy the passion fruit margarita if you like sweet drinks. I will continue to come here.

The horchata was outstanding. The tostadas were okay and so was the suffed maduros. Wait time was a bit longer than the ideal but they were pretty busy. I may give it another chance to try something different.

While I have written a great review regarding this restaurant, my opinion has changed greatly about it. Since the manager Kevin has moved onto better opportunities, you can clearly see a difference in the entire restaurant, including the quality of the food. I have been back 3 times since the manager has left, and every time the experience has not been a good one. From the quality of the food, getting the order correct and getting other guests to keep their children from running around as well as screaming. Yes I believe this is a family restaurant, however assuring that all of your guests are enjoying their meal is equally as important. I'm sorry to say, however El Rancho grande is off my list of recommended restaurants.

This was the second time I had been there, this time we actually ate some sort of food lol I will give this place two thumbs up for sure. Our waiter, Cristian, was friendly and helpful. Which I always appreciate. Wait time was less than a min. Once you sit they serve you with a basket of chips and (semi spicy) salsa. Mondays ,the margaritas, at least the strawberry one I had, was five bucks and regular was four. Totally worth it for the drinks! One of the best I've had. We ate the platano relleno, granted it was a bit pricy, but it was good. Idk if it was worth the price we paid, it was four tiny platanos with different meat in each and it came out to 12. Good nonetheless but a bit pricy like I said.

Great food, great service and the best margaritas. If you like to try a little of everything and have a hefty appetite as I go for the Plato Mexicano, you won't be disappointed. I also had their bulldog margarita, which was top notch. Oracle or ale!!

Rancho Grande is small and quaint with authentic Mexican food. Their Chile Verde was tasty, as was the chicken soup. However, the Carne Asada was ok as an entree but too dry in the tacos. Their Cochinita Pibil has been excellent in the past although we did not have it on this visit. The service was good and we will definitely go again.

Solid Mexican dining experience here. The servers bring out chips and salsa which is great while waiting for the main course. I'm a cheese addict so the best appetizer here is the queso fundido. It comes with tortillas so you can scoop out the cheesy goodness. I've had quite a few great tasting dishes including the Burrito, Chimichanga, and Cochinita Pibil. My favorite dish is the Enchiladas with Verde sauce paired with a Modelo Especial (or Negra depending on my mood). Great flavors and the sauce is killer. The portions here are insane. Almost too much. Almost... The servers are always very kind and attentive and I've never experienced a long wait, although I usually have an early dinner before the rush so I don't know what its like when its packed. I especially appreciate the outdoor seating on a nice day.

Great Mexican food, with fresh ingredients. Friendly staff and a pleasant dining venue. Portions are good, and the fried ice cream was generously portioned for the three of us to share. Margaritas are a bit pricey, so watch out for that.

Love this place! We go once a week. The food is fresh and the service is spot on. The table Guacamole is a must have, onions, tomatoes, cilantro and jalapeños (check out their cool device). Soft or Hard Tacos are delectable and their sampler has something for everyone at your table.

I don't know what try changed but this place has truly improved over the years. I stopped coming about three years ago and now I am hooked. The quality of the meal and service are tops. The tostadas are amazing and the at table guacamole is excellent. Can't beT this for Mexican food nearby!!!

  • Julie H.

Best margaritas ever - food is also great. The first basket of chips is on the house. They have the option of ordering guacamole made to order right by your table - which is great because some of the party didn't want onions in it and they accommodated the request. The quesadilla is enormous and so is the burrito. I like to order the hard tacos and order a different type of meat in each. Service is consistent - usually not amazing but not bad either. My kids like the children's menu options as well. We will definitely keep coming back.

I have been a HUGE fan of this restaurant and fund the good very good for a Mexican dive. The service has always been spot on and friendly. They had a manager, Kevin, who has recently left and really stayed on customer service. I did notice on my recent visit that things were a bit off. My waiter didn't get the orders right and ignored the table when asked for simple things like water. You would think that would be automatic. The thing is I won't let that one time throw my recommendation off. I still believe this one if the better Mexican restaurants around Miami. I highly recommend the chicken enchiladas with red sauce. It just tastes really good. Small plate but very filling. Yes the margaritas are wine based and not tequila, but they still have a kick.

Wow! I have passed by this shopping center a million times and I never knew that this place existed. So I was in the Palms shopping one night and was feeling very hungry. I searched for some restaurants in the area on yelp hoping to find something new and interesting to try.......I was in the mood for Mexican food and after seeing the reviews on this restaurant. I had to try it! I wondered where it was as I knew that it was somewhere in this shopping center but couldn't pin point it in my mind. Drove there and spotted it. The parking plaza was packed (a good sign since most other stores were closed). The restaurant has outside and inside seating. It was packed full of people. I luv the decor as they had a brightly decorated chalkboard with specials on them and cute pictures. The window walls were already decorated christmassy and it seemed like everyone dining in the restaurant was happy and having a great time. Another good sign indeed. As I watched different types of delicious looking plates pass us by, I couldn't decide on what I wanted. I went to yelp for help and started looking at the recommendations as well. It was great to munch on the complimentary chips and salsa while I explored the menu. One thing I knew for sure.... I wanted to try the guacamole that pretty much every table was ordering.... So we started off with that. The guac was delicious! So fresh (they make it right in front of you). We proceeded to order the platanos rellenos and they were amazing!!! Not only did I get to try the different types of meat as it comes with shredded chicken, ground beef, carnitas and shredded beef, but I luved the sweet and salty combo. It was a perfect appetizer. I finally decided on La Taquiza. I ordered two with carne asada and two with carnitas and thy were both perfectly seasoned and delicious. I had a lemonade which I could tell was freshly squeezed, perfect to wash down all the yummy food I was enjoying. I did not have room for dessert but hope to try one of them next time. I am so happy that yelp brought me to find this awesome new place which is very conveniently located for me. It was awesome. I left out of there happy and satisfied.

Truly excellent Mexican food PLUS they don't really cook with soy, so that's always a plus for me! Great prices (about $10-15 for burritos, fajitas, etc.) especially for the quality of food. Try to get there early - it gets packed!!

It was expensive and was not authentic. The tacos didn't come with sauce and apparently I had to ask for it. The Horchata was pretty amazing though--it was made with milk.

I can't understand why anyone would go anywhere else for Mexican. The food here is great with prices which are wallet friendly. My favorites are the chicken enchilada's with green sauce. The chicken is always shredded white meat which tastes as if it has been marinated. It is really flavorful. Last night, I tried the Amigos tacos which had four different types of tacos. If you don't want to spring for the table side prepared guacamole, you can order a smaller version which is already prepared. I have never had them charge extra for additional baskets of chips, though their menu says limit one per table. My only disappointment is that they no longer have a blender to make frozen margaritas, but alas, I have discovered their delicious mojitos. The service can't be beat. There is no shortage of service staff to assist you. If you were planning to go to the South Beach location, have no fear, this location has the same delicious food. I

Good Mexican Food. My wife tried their freshly made strawberry margarita & she fell in Love with it. We also tried their Guacamole table side & got to say its the best we had out of the other locations we have tried it so far. I tried their Chicken Tacos I liked it, my wife being a vegetarian had their Veggie Burrito & it was good as well. We did not realize but their burrito's are HUGE. Overall a great place to dine with family & friends.

Went to rancho grande last night and extremely enjoyed it. I ordered the chimichanga with ground beef and it was massive! So much food for the money and it was delicious. My friend ordered the steak burrito, equally as big and tasty! Service was very attentive ... Will definitely be going back !

I went there for my first time yesterday. I ordered the Taco Al Pastor. Soo delicious. It has pork and pineapple. Love love. I also got a lemon margarita and had a sample of the Spic Guava margarita. It is heavenly. I wish I would've ordered that from the get go. I will definitely be back to this place. I am originally from AZ so I am used to eating Mexican food all the time. So glad I found this place!

This place is great! The food is great, the margaritas are awesome and the service is impeccable. Family owned and operated, but are very organized, clean fast and the customer comes first. My husband, family and I go here often...breakfast, lunch and dinner....perfect every time!

El Rancho Grande recently opened a new location in the depths of Kendall. How will this Miami Beach transplant fare in the suburbs - that remains to be seen - but as far as their menus is concerned, they stick to what made them popular in the first place: margaritas, fajitas, quesadillas, and of course, burritos. The location in Kendall Corners is definitely not as priviledged as the South Beach Lincoln Road one, and in terms of atmosphere it cannot compete, but if you're looking for a tasty mexican meal, el Rancho Grande does deliver.

So here I go with my two girlies on tow, hungry like crazy, looking for some good eats. My kiddo wanted Lime but I wanted to try something new. Researching in yelp we agreed on lelia ranching grande. We arrive , promptly seated ( outside cuz inside was crowded ) the weather was great, a plus on our side, we got nachos and drinks, twice...:/ we waited a long time. The waitress was very graceful and attentive . We finally get our meals... My kids ordered beef burritos that come with a side of nicely seasoned rice and refrained beans. I ordered Mexican tacos but got the Mexican meal instead.... I had never been here before and since the meal came with 3 tortillas I figured this was how the presented it( lucky for them lol). I ate to my hearts content and the carnita, jalapeño with cheese, and beef where are you? Tasty. There was a chicken with green spicy sauce( didn't grasp then some) was ok. Rice and refrained beans were delish and the side of sour cream was a nice touch to balance it all out. After our waitress noticed the blunder and brought it to my attention she offered to prepare my original order. At this point we were all stuffed and really enjoyed what I had anyway so I declined ( yes now I kick myself on the butt for doing so lol) the service very attentive, parking private lot however another restaurant and urgent carte center fight for spots, the food is very tasty and beware.... The portions are huge. They charged for the original meal ( less $) and overall a nice experience. Definitely a spot to recommend a return too. I know it was busy but the wait was really long....one less star for that.

the food here was fair (for those in our party who received what we ordered), but the service was memorably bad. it was that unique combination of incompetent, hostile, and dilatory that leaves you aggravated by the end of your meal.

Same owner as restaurant by the same name off Lincoln Road and Pennsylvania. Second time there. Food is great. Salsa is fresh and has a zip to it. Tried the tacos El sabor. Comes with habanero sauce that will make you sweat. Ambiance is pleasant, but one off Lincoln Road is nicer.

Up until December I used to work right by this place for 2 years and I don't know how I ever overlooked it. It is soooo good. I've seen the beach location many a time but since it's rather far removed for me I never had the chance to try it. The food here is fresh, delicious and authentic. The queso fundido is a little on the greasy and salty side, but that's how I prefer it. The sampler plater of antojitos is yummy with a little bit of everything without being excessive, portion-wise. They have agua de horchata here (kind of like a Mexican rice drink that tastes like rice pudding), something I haven't encountered at any Mexican restaurant in Miami so far. They make the guac right in front of you and let you sample it as they are making so they can make the batch exactly to your liking. The prices aren't bad either and the staff was very attentive and friendly. This place definitely has a fan in me!

Nicely decorated mexican restaurant with outdoor seating as well, but you're sitting in a strip mall. The food was good, a little bland, but good. I ordered the plato mixto. The service was a bit slow too. I will return though. Not many restaurants in kendall that serves mexican food.

I definitely recommend this place. Great Mexican Food! Would say 95% authentic. I went with my boyfriend and close friends and we all had a great time. Servings are big so you can share. The service was great. I will visit again soon.

A couple weeks ago we heard that a new Mexican restaurant had opened in the area, so the other night we decided to try it out. Well, to my surprise, it was named the same as the one I used to frequent a lot located near Lincoln Rd in Miami Beach and sure enough it's the same owners. The menu is for the most part very similar to the one on the beach, but I should let you know some dishes are prepared slightly different. One of my favorites is the Burrito with shredded beef. The Kendall restaurant fills it with Pico de Gallo and Lettuce. So far, everything I've tasted is the same, so if your a fan of the one at the Beach, but don't feel like driving out there, the Kendall one is just as good. Besides the shredded beef burrito, I also recommend the guacamole. I usually just get the regular appetizer one, but they also have one that they prepare at your table. The Tostadas are also excellent. The meats can be mixed which allows for variety in most dishes. I've gone twice since it's opened and I can say the service has gotten better between visits.

Not bad for Mexican near my hometown of Kendall. I can really appreciate the fact that they make made to order guacamole right at your table. It's perfection!! My husband chimichanga was crispy and delicious! The tacos are great and hooooldd upppp... The margaritas are insane! They have guava margaritas that are just amazing. The waiters were friendly and very attentive. I will definitely come again :)

I came here after receiving a Yelp e-mail about Mexican places in Miami. The place has a great ambiance, there is indoor and outdoor seating. Our server, Chris, was quite the character. Thursday nights are ladies night, so my friend and I both got $4 classic margaritas. It was greeeeaaaat (read as Noah Ritter, apparently kid). My friend got the chile relleno and I got the antojitos sampler. She said the chile tasted almost like her grandmother's....in Mexico....so you know its good. My antojitos were pretty good too. Overall, I would come back, but many of the menu items were overpriced.

First time here and I would definitely go back!! The passion fruit margarita was amazing but you won't be disappointed with the house margarita either. We had carne asada tacos which were delicious. For entree, I had the enchiladas and my boyfriend had the chimichanga. We were both beyond satisfied! Our waitress was great! Very attentive and sweet. The only reason I didn't rate it a 5 is because the hostess was nowhere to be found and we just stood there with no person to greet us for 10 minutes, we had to go inside and ask the bartender who we could grab a table.

  • Mario R.

I'll keep this short and sweet. I'm not Mexican and thereby can't comment on its authenticity, but the food was fantastic and was prepared the same way as the hot spots down south. My only gripes are that the salsa has no spice and there were no sopapillas for dessert

By far best Authentic Mexican Food and Dishes I have tasted. All Appetizers, Entrees, and Desserts ordered were delicious. Quacamole made to order, Maduros Rellenos delish, short ribs best ever. Restaurant is on point.

¡Ándale! Margarita Mondays, Mariachi Wednesdays, Sunday brunch...El Rancho Grande's suburban location makes sure to give excuses for multiple visits. Accordingly, I frequent this location far more than I probably should, as it is now practically a weekly fixture. I'll admit when living on South Beach, I was devastated to lose the nearby venue, seeing as it was one of the tastiest and most inexpensive options on (or just off) all of Lincoln road. Thankfully, after migrating further South, I can still mange to get a regular fix. They don't have the crab nachos that the original location offered (to satisfy that addiction requires venturing up to Surfside), but they've got plenty of refreshing margaritas and incredibly tasty dishes. I can't vouch that any of them are remotely authentic, but I think their ability to push the envelope is what makes them more unique than your traditional choice. The margaritas are the perfect embodiment of this innovative variety, with everything from a more banal original flavor to a spicy guava. The strawberry is my personal favorite. As for the food, I've yet to be disappointed (other than the rice, more on that below), although there are some dishes that are clearly steady regulars. First off, if you're willing to ignore the little voice in your head that tells you how unhealthy it is, get the queso fundido. Topped off with a piquant chorizo, this gooey melted cheese is the perfect accompaniment to their corn tortillas, or fresh tortilla chips. I try to resit on a regular basis, but it is really difficult. If you prefer something lighter, then get the homemade guacamole, which they prepare table-side. As an aside...although the menu warns that only the first basket of chips is free (lame), I never actually seen this enforced. Instead they seem more than keen to bring as many as you want with no additional charge, which comes in handy if you order either of these. Also, the platano relleno appetizer is a divine combination of sweet a savory, with flattened discs of maduros (sweet plantains) smothered in 4 different meats (a pork, a shredded beef, a ground beef, and chicken). Sometimes, I just order this as an entree and find it more than adequate. That being said, they do offer quite a few fantastic entree options worth considering. Their mole sauce is unparalleled, turning decadent chocolate into a savory, and a bit spicy, sauce. Every time I order it they warn me in advance that it may be a bit hot, but even though I am a super heat-intolerant wimp, I find it perfectly palatable. Furthermore, I absolutely adore it on the enchiladas. The tostadas are another favorite, with a heaping portion of tender, flavorful chicken piled high atop a crispy corn tortilla. The fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and cojita cheese top it off to create a dangerously addictive entree. They have definitely downsized these a bit as of late, but don't worry, you still get more than enough. They also have regular specials, although you have to order them early in the night or they will sell out. I have to say I've had better rice though, and usually it is a bit desiccated for my liking. Strangely the Northern location doesn't seem to have the same issue, so I'm not quite sure why this happens here so often. Definitely one of my favorite Mexican spots in all Miami, I just can't get enough! Typically I leave with a to-go box of leftovers, unable to come close to finishing my entree, so I have yet to make it to dessert. Probably for the best though as the look incredibly tempting. One day, when I'm feeling truly voracious, I'm sure I'll make it happen. The location in a strip mall is definitely not very trendy, but it does make parking a breeze. Also, it is important to be aware that service can be a little slow when they are packed. In these situations you may have to rough it on an uncomfortable high top if you want to snag a seat sooner. However, once you are seated the time will pass more quickly with a basket of chips and fresh salsa. Additionally, they usually bring a carafe of water so you don't have to wait on refills. A wonderful spot to go with friends or family for a delicious and wallet-friendly meal. Hurry over to try El Rancho Grande for your Mexican fix!

Amazing! I went off other reviews and got the spicy guava margarita....if you're not into death defying spice-don't go there. It has tremendous flavor but way too much kick for my liking. Flautas and carne asada chimichanga were awesome as well as the quest fundito...mmmm I'll be having crispy cheese dreams tonight!

I just want to stop and congratulate the owners and everyone that works here, I seriously have never enjoyed a meal more than I did at this place. Our waiter was an argentine guy I forgot his name but he was on point all night, he knew the menu and answered all the questions quick, he kept our glasses full and the service was quick. Big props to the owners for not being cheap and having so much staff in such a small venue it's awesome because everyone is being taken care off at the same time. Someone give the chef a cookie and a hug the enchilada was amazingly delicious. And last but not least I probably had the coldest corona I have ever had in my life! I usually avoid drafts because they're never cold enough but this was colder than cold. I highly recommend it to Mexican food lovers and I will most definitely be back over and over again. Give yourselves a round of applause.

This place was not that great! The Good: - plantain appetizer with different meats on top - horchata The Bad: - Tamales were dry - Pork dish was overpriced, under seasoned, and pork was dry The Horrible: - Vegetable fajitas: Menu boasts portobellos, zucchini, squash, an array of vegetables. It was 80% onions, 10% french fries, and the rest were tiny slivers of the aforementioned vegetables

This place is great for the days you don't feel like cooking and need to grab something to eat on the way home. The service is good, the waiters are attentive but always seem a bit rushed. Their quesadilla is awesome. The steak in the tacos is very good but the tortilla tastes awful (it was either frozen or store bought, not made on the spot). By the time they bring the tacos to the table, the tortilla is cold and stiff. They have good drinks and are fairly priced. Like it says above, the place is A-OK.

This is the real authentic Mexican restaurant. The food taste like my mother is in the kitchen making it. The aromas and flavor of the food as well as the ambiance bring a sense of childhood nostalgia.

I'm really glad I tried this place. My picky bf loved it as well. The spicy guava margarita is a definite MUST, for those who like the aforementioned words. Skip the mojito and double up on the spicy margarita. We tried the chimichanga; chicken and carne asada. They both were really good! Check this place out, you're bound to find something worth coming back for.

Authentic Mexican Family Restaurant. In Kendall . Seating inside & outside. Recommend inside all the smokers sit outside. Staff very attentive. The Sampler Antojitos not recommend. The Guacamole was impressed & the Guava Margarita. Also my sister Luv the Cheese Green Enchilada the sauce was creamy & spice. Can't wait to return.

Probably one of my favorite restaurants in west Kendall and Miami in general. I bring friends and family here and they too become regulars. Discovered it after deciding to opt for something different after being long-time frequenters of its next door neighbor, Puerto Madero, another tasty establishment out in west Kendall. I keep coming back for their margaritas and tacos de carnitas (aka the BEST pork tacos you'll ever try anywhere!!) I always order the same tacos (why mess with something so perfectly delicious?!), margarita(s), and chips & guac to share. I highly recommend this place. Great staff, always friendly and accommodating, and good energy. Good for groups, first dates or even just to sit at the bar and watch a game.

I fell in love with this little gem...friendly staff, fast service and the food was good! They have a several margaritas, I had the regular and it was delicious. I will definitely be back to try the the others... We ordered the beef n chicken fajitas and the carnitas... The food was fresh and tasty. I love finding little places like these so close to home!!

I initially fell in love with this place, but the last 4 times I went it was not the same. It just wasn't. Food was not consistent or consistently available either. Now this place is also packed. It much more authentic than chili's so thats a plus and the prices are good. If you havent been before then I say give it a whirl.

I don't know why I haven't reviewed El Rancho Grande sooner. Lets start with the service which has always been great. The table side Guac made to order...it's always perfect. We have ordered the specials a few times and they are never a disappointment. The Plátano Rellenos are always a must for us. Everything we have ever ordered we have been pleased with that is why we return often and always recommend.

I love real Mexican food. Not Tex Mex! This is the place! The CHILAQUILES Are like the ones my nanny used to make me in Mexico. Different flavored margaritas are the best!

Mexican Heaven. We read some reviews on this place and decided to head over for lunch on a Saturday. The place was decently busy with just about every table filled up. Me and the fiance started off with Queso Fondido. - D E L I C I O U S. Scooped the melted, gooey cheese into flour tortillas then burned my mouth because it was so hot, but tasted so good, I burned it again! Then I ordered the Chimichanga. WOW. Fried burrito goodness. with a side of rice and beans. HUGE portion - actually took about half to go! The service was impeccable. They rotated about 4 waiters that were ALWAYS making sure everything was ok, sodas refilled, table cleared of unused plates, etc. I posted a photo on Instagram and my buddy went the next day with his wife - they loved it as well. I will return to the Ranch soon.

I came here for lunch today, and I have to say it was quite an experience--for my digestive system--that is. I guess you can say that about a bunch of Mexican restaurants (they do serve a lot of beans and cheese after all), but after eating here, I feel really full, but I guess I can't really complain because that means they did their job. When I came here today, I came with a party of eight people, and their service was outstanding. They sat us quickly, took our orders, and were available to answer any questions we had. They gave us two order of chips to start with, and then gave us two more additional complimentary baskets of chips to make sure we were happy campers. Huge plus considering the menu says they charge for extra chips. Crispy and delicious! Since my friend and I are huge fans of cheese, we ordered a Queso Fendido appetizer. We were expecting cheese galore, but unfortunately, our fantasies were not satisfied. It was disappointing! I was expecting a liquidy type of cheese, but instead it seemed they melted slices of cheese in the microwave. What the heck! I was expecting more from a Yelp place with multiple 5 star reviews. I ordered a chimichanga, and it was huge. A little bit dry, and a bit overwhelming. Beans and rice dry too! The dryness of the meat was a letdown. Overall, the food could have been better. It gave my friend a stomach ache, and I feel a bit queasy after eating here. Service was superb though! I am not sure if I would come here again unfortunately!

Ok so the food is good, the drinks are amazing but the second time I went back I confirmed that just like the first time I went the waiter was trying to rush us through our meal. First asking whether he could take away plates we weren't finished working on, several times. He asked us if we wanted dessert mid meal. My friend called him out on it and his response was that they were very busy. I'm not sure I'd go back again if only for this reason.

Something about this place, you always leave satisfied. The quality of service is just like the quality of the food: amazing. Tableside guacamole is always neat. More often than not, I get the cochinita pibil. Awesome place, and very affordable.

Say hello to my new mexican spot!!!(Tony Montana voice) Came here in a Sunday afternoon. Nice weather, not hot, which is rare in Miami, so my girlfriend and I decided to sit outside. The place is located in a shopping center next to two other restaurant, both steak restaurants, go figure. The place is not much, which is perfectly fine with as long as the food is good, and boy was it good. We started with a margarita for my girl, a Negra Modelo, chips and salsa, sopa azteca and platanos fritos. Here is the lowdown on the platanos. They are tostones maduros with four types of meat on top cover in white cheese. It is unfair to pick a favorite. They were delicious. And the soup could bring anyone back from the dead. A mixture of beef broth, tomato soup and with nice spicy touch. Oh, so good. As an entree we shared the Cochinita Piblin. These were chunks of pork, marinated to perfect tenderness and cook in a delicious sauce, accompanied of rice, refried beans and corn tortillas. Finished the meal with a fried ice cream and a mexican coffee. Such a great afternoon, such great meal. So happy is only 10 minutes from my house. Can't wait to come back.

I am in Kendall for work travel and was looking for some delicious Mexican. El Rancho Grande was absolutely fantastic! The tacos had great flavor and then passion fruit margarita was one of the best I've had. I will definitely return here when I am in town.

Andallllleeee! Andalllllleee! Anndallllleeee! Orale guey!! This place is the bombdiggity! We were looking for a place to eat, and decided to head out to El Rancho Grande because of all the great reviews. Im so glad we did! The place is very small and i've heard it can get really packed. We got there at around 3:30 in the afternoon, and thank god we didnt have to wait to be seated. Our server was a young guy who was extremely polite and very helpful. He told us about the specials, and gave us information about the different sauces. Im a sauce lover, so I was thrilled to have so many choices for my tacos! I ordered the Enchiladas with salsa...Ah-mey-zing! So delicious and the portion is pretty big. My fiance ordered a Chimichanga. Jesus, Maria y Jose! That chimichanga was perfection. And it was the size of my head. I cant wait to go back! My mom is coming to town next week and I will definitely be taking her here for some lunch.

I wish Yelp had less then one star! they deserve 0. This review is not about their food, which is good (not the best in Miami) but decent. This review is about THE HORRIBLE COSTUMER SERVICE they have, specially by the manager who basically asked me to leave with my two year old and two friends because I decided to enter their restaurant with chicken nuggets that I bought so my son could let us eat, relax and have a good time. Let me better explain: When I walked in the waiter quickly approached me and told me that in order for us to stay there we had to place his food in a plate because outside food is not permitted I said yes and placed the food in the plate he brought, minutes later when we had already discussed the menu and ordered drinks he walks back and tells us that the management told him that they cannot allow outside food and asks us to leave. I was terribly embarrassed, a lot of people just stared at us as we walked out and my son started crying for his food as we left, I had to buy him his chicken nuggets again. Seriously! how much is a two year old going to consume? compared to what we were going to consume!! I could have GIVEN them the 10 dollars that he was going to consume if that was the issue...what if I would have brought crackers from home for him?? would I have to leave too?? what if I was breastfeeding is that not permitted too? what about formula?? the principle is the same. My husband and I would normally go to this mexican place because it was near my house and it was convenient...NEVER AGAIN not only that I will not recommend it to anyone anymore!! horrible place horrible service, not for families with kids!!! By the way we went to Los Magueyes Mexican Restaurant and they were awesome with my son! let him eat his food and we had a great time and the food there is AMAZING.

Hi. The food wasn't bad, I got takeout. I was disappointed in the mole chicken (there are few that can get it right outside of Mexico), the chimichanga was good. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. It wasn't bad but I've had better in Miami.

LOVE IT..Everything i have tried from the menu is delicious, ive been going there for more than 3 years and every time i go the quality of the food still the same// the restaurant is always super clean and the staff is super nice// It is a hidden Gem in kendall!

  • John S.

The service was terrible. We were never asked if we wanted our drinks refilled. The drinks that we did receive were made up of mostly ice and in small glasses. It took them forever just to bring chips to the table. What upset me most was the tall waiter who was taking orders from the next table was standing in a position being bent over which caused his butt to be near one of the people I was with. He could have found other areas to take their orders and not be so rude and inconsiderate!

  • Arielle T.

This place is so hidden! I would have never known it was there were it not for multiple people telling me I need to try it! The ambiance is super cute. From the floor, to the walls, to the food, and staff. I didn't order it but they make the guacamole table side! Fresh! You watch them shell the avocados and everything. Service is great! They are extremely attentive to your drink refills and sticking around JUST IN CASE you may need something. This is a huge deal to me as most restaurants I go to, the waiter disappears. All we had were appetizers, as our dinner entrees! Yes! The appetizers are big portions. I had the ceviche, made super fresh, with fish AND shrimp. Only $12?! Okay. That sounds great to me. Quesedilla was on point, bigger than I expected and served with refried beans and other toppings. Queso Fundido with Chorizo was to die for. Fresh, warm tortillas and fresh, fresh, fresh ingredients. My stomach left that place singing. Oh, and be sure to try their different margaritas! They have quite a variety of flavors, including Spicy Guava. I wasn't that brave, but I had a strawberry margarita and maaaaan, you definitely know that tequila is in there! I don't know if they offer them frozen, but our came on the rocks automatically. So maybe ask if you're picky about that. All in all, I will definitely be returning. The portions for the price and the service that you receive is awesome. The only reason I found out about this place was through word of mouth. Best authentic Mexican food in Kendall!

You know.. i liked it.. authenthic mexican food at kendall prices (lol). We ordered the Queso Fundido ($10), Pastor Tacos ($12 for 3) and the Enchilada Suiza de Pollo ($15). La Manguera - a mango margarita ($9) and a Corona ($5) Prices may be a bit off but this is what i can remember off hand. Overall i thought the food was very good. Maybe a tad bit overpriced but understandable based on location. You can get the same quality food in homestead for half the price.. but for us in the kendall suburbs.. that schlep isnt always worth the gas money.. lets call it a push. The restaurant was packed. We arrived at 9p on Saturday and were told it would be a 45 minute wait. We didnt have to wait that long and ended up with an outside table. We want to come back during an off night. I will be back.

Met with some girlfriends for lunch today, can't believe I hadn't been here yet...After all I love me some good margaritas and Mexican food. We started off with the guacamole and wow, I'm not a huge avocado fan but this guac was yummy. So was the salsa we got with the chips, spicy but not super hot. I had the steak fajitas and was pleased but do wish they came with some cheese. The mango margarita didn't disappoint. Service was good and relatively quick. Will be returning to try other dishes.

Came here because I was told it was one of the top Mexican spots in Kendall. I wouldn't say it was the best but it hit the spot. It's actually 3.5 stars but I can't bump them up cause it was HOT inside. Ugh. AC please. I really, really liked the platanos rellenos, sweet and savory is my favorite. We also got the taquizo (the one with the 4 different tacos). It was okay, a little dry but nothing guac didn't take care of. I shared a guava margarita that was also tasty, but not necessarily my thing - I could see how it is very popular though. The chips and salsa were fine, nothing spectacular. I'll have to come back and try something else out. I saw some massive burritos come out of the kitchen, maybe I'll get that next time :-P

If you're in the Kendall Village Shopping Center and want some real quality Mexican food, El Rancho Grande is probably your best option. It is located in a somewhat-quiet strip center, about a mile away, and can easily get crowded! I did not realize at the time that this was the same El Rancho Grande as the one in North Beach (around 73rd Street), but it is. My friend and I came here after seeing Jurassic World, and were quickly seated, despite there being people waiting ahead of us. We were immediately brought the menus and some water. We scanned the menu and I'll admit -- if you're looking for cheap Mexican food, you probably should go elsewhere, since the average entree here is about $15, not exactly what I'd call cheap. You do get complimentary chips and salsa, and free refills on it, for what it's worth. If you're still not sold, then let me tell you their salsa is pretty great, and they feature many dishes that you won't see elsewhere. I cannot recall what my friend ordered (he wouldn't let me taste it, nor would he accept my offer to share both our entrees so we could get a taste for different dishes), but I ordered the Plato Mexicano. This is a good introduction to many cooking styles throughout Mexico. It contains mole poblano, cochinito pibil, cheese chile relleno, chicken enchilada, rice and refried beans. It was quite filling, and also came with tortillas. As Stephanie L. mentions in her review, the rice is very dry, flavorless, and seemed undercooked. My favorite item on the Plato Mexicano was the cheese chile relleno. I am not sure what cheese they used but it was extremely soft and creamy. I left it for last, just so I could keep that flavor in my mouth. The service was attentive. Too attentive, actually. My friend put his fork down to check his phone for a minute, and immediately, a woman came over and asked if she could take his plate, although it was 90% full. She only spoke Spanish, so my friend was fortunate to have me around to stop her, or else he would have been a hungry, angry person. They stay open until 11 on Saturdays, but close earlier during the rest of the week.

Great little place - had the Nachos with beef, platanos rellenos, and chimichangas. The nachos were fabulous. The platanos were delicious but my favorite filling was the ground beef - would probably ask for that one all beef. The chimichangas weren't my favorite because of the amount of rice but the friend I was with loved them...Would love to have tried the fried ice cream but they were out of it... Service was great. Would return and hopefully get some of that ice cream :)

Customer Service Driven and they Aim to Please! I can't say enough about how much El Rancho Grande really deserves recognition for OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE! It helps that they're all team players. And that's how they get things done. Came here last night (Saturday 5/16/15) around 7:30pm (normally I wouldn't since I know how crazy packed this place gets) and sat outside since the evening was surprisingly cool plus we had no other choice. E.R.G. was packed and not once did we feel neglected. From the moment you approach the restaurant you are greeted with a smile by the hostess and are made feel welcomed and never rushed. The servers are super friendly and very well acquainted with their menu. I love that they all communicate via earpieces. Communication is instantly and effectively at the touch of a button! What was ordered... Chicken Fajitas - Cooked with red & green peppers and tons of onions (Yuk!). Served with Rice, Black Refried Beans, Sour Cream, Guacamole and 3 Flour Tortillas. (choice of chicken, beef, shrimp or vegetables or a combination of any for an upcharge). Very tasty but they really need to ease up on the fillers! Carnitas Chile Relleno - Mild Poblano Pepper stuffed with Carnitas (shredded pork), egg-battered, then deep-fried and topped with their special tomato sauce and sour cream. Served with Rice, Black Refried Beans and 3 soft Corn Tortillas. These carnitas are juicy, very flavorful and extremely tender. A good sign this pork has been simmering for hours on end. The most authentic way is to boil the pork in lard. Hmmmm I wonder if they actually do this here. (You have a choice of chicken, beef, carnitas or cheese). Delicious! My To-Go Order... Puntas De Filete A La Mexicana - Beef strips, cooked in a sauce made of tomatoes, onions, green & red peppers and jalapenos. Served with Rice, Black Refried Beans and soft Corn Tortillas. Steak was rubbery and chewy. A huge fail :( Completely my fault for ordering steak at a Mexican restaurant though. It's just a no no. Flan - Very hard. Not impressed. Another fail :( Chocolate Cake - Very rich and smooth texture. This tripled chocolate layered cake is best when shared. It is instensely sweet! Served at room temperature with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream. I must point out though that the food was beautifully packaged. Very neatly compartmentalized. No messy spills on my way home and easy to arrange onto a plate. It was roughly a 20 minute drive back home and the tortillas were still piping hot. I kid you not! Paying for the check was a breeze. Did not have to wait for her to come back 2-3 times as it normally would be at any other restaurant. It was done using a tablet right then and there at the palm of my hand. She showed me the bill, swiped my card, I chose tip amount & signed. You have a choice to have receipt emailed or printed. Voila! P.S. Hello to my stalker, RG! #GetALife!

Small location. Big service and flavor. This suburban outpost of the SoBe restaurant is a welcome addition to the neighborhood! Staff is wonderfully attentive. The drinks are always fresh and potent :) The food has many traditional Mexican dishes. The chips are homemade (could use some salt) and the salsa packs a spicy punch. The apps are my favorite dishes on their menu and sometimes are ordered as my entree! Their queso fundido (either with chorizo or pico de gallo) is gooey and supremely satisfying when wrapped in its warmed flour tortilla blanket. The guacamole is made fresh at your tableside. All ingredients are super fresh and at peak ripeness. I have never had a brown or too green avocado in all the times I've gone (can't say the same for any chain mexican joint in the hood). The antojitos will give you a taste of the most decadent items on any Mexi-Cali menu and is a very generous option as a meal. My favorite of all the apps are the Platanos Rellenos. Sweet fried plantains (the perfect kind too, crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside) topped by a variety of tasty meats. All these apps went so fast that I couldn't even take a pic of them before they were devoured! My favorite is the Parillada Mexicana. Easily shared by three very hungry people it has every protein you can ever want mixed with garlic, onions and sweet peppers. Accompanied by tortillas, spanish rice, beans crema and cheese, it is an all around Mexican fiesta for your palate! Another favorite meal is the Plato Mexicano. A spicy sampler of Mexico's most traditional dishes (chicken mole, spicy chicken enchilladas, chile relleno and the cochinita pibil), it is a must try for this restaurant. My DH dreams with this plate! The cochinita pibil is always a flavorful plate of succulent pork! My family raves about the beans, and though I love their general texture and flavor, I can't help but feel that they lack some salt. Wouldn't be a problem, except that there is no salt on the table... Please just put salt on the table :) I'm usually too full to make it to dessert... P.S. I often go with no less than 5 people and up to a group of 20 - the service is always exceptional, but do call ahead for reservations as the location is small!

I was very impressed with El Rancho Grande. We don't have a lot of Mexican options in the area, so I was excited to try this place. Warning: it's not cheap! We went for lunch. One margarita, two adult meals, and two kid's meals were about $60. That being said, I really enjoyed everything about the place. The service was on point, and the food was fresh. The servers use iPads to take your order, and they are also used for payment. The chips and salsa were immediately brought to us, and the salsa was delicious and fresh. I had the enchiladas, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and my margarita was good, as well. The sour mix in the margarita was just right. When I'm looking for Mexican food, I will definitely come back to El Rancho Grande.

El Rancho grande is one of those places worth going to! The ambience is refreshing and the service great! I ordered the carne asada and the guacamole as an appetizer, and it was worth every single ounce. So yummy! We come here with my wife and it is never disappointing. We also celebrated my wife's bday here last year, and it was a lot of fun. Overall, a good place to have a bite in a chill environment. :D.

I've wanted to check out this place for a while. I read some yelp reviews that highly recommend it. We arrived and were immediately greeted. They said we would have a 20 minute wait, but were seated within 10 (good strategy: under promise, over deliver). We ordered a few margaritas and Guacamole to start. The passion fruit margarita was DELICIOUS! The guac was also very good. Everyone ordered different dishes.. Chicken with mole sauce, the tour of Mexico, the surf and turf, and a burrito. Of all dishes on the table, the best was the burrito. The rest was just ok. The service was friendly, and very accommodating. One of our friends really didn't like her dish, and they were kind enough to take it off the bill. I would probably go back for the margaritas, but unfortunately, this wouldn't be at the top of my list.

In the mood for a Burrito, so I finally decided to give this place a try. I took it go, wasn't feeling dining in today. I was greeted promptly and a young lady took my order while I waited at the bar. The restaurant looks clean and had a nice crowd even at the time I went, which is a great sign. I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito and an Horchata, I waited maybe 15 minutes. Oh! I almost forgot the "Mexican style flan" translation, a regular flan! The total came out to a little over 24$, the burrito wasn't bad, but it was lacking steak! When you think of a burrito, you're not expecting them to skimp on any ingredient in the burrito. The Horchata was good, and the flan, well it was a flan. I hear many people say they don't care about the attitude or the service of restaurants as long as the food is good, but I couldn't disagree more. I didn't get a friendly vibe from the servers, and for people who depend on tips I believe a good attitude is paramount. To be clear I was not treated poorly, you can just feel and sense the funky attitude of some of the employees, in particular The Manager. I would most likely return and next time I'll dine in for the complete experience.

Has that authentic "hole in the wall" type of feel where you know whatever you taste will be delicious. Food service could not have been more on point (service, food to table time, flavor). Very chill vibe. Casual dress attire and the option is available to sit inside or outside. Margaritas are served with their home made tequila...packs a punch. For those that enjoy coloring outside of the lines, they offer non-traditional margaritas as well. We had mango and strawberry. Whatever you choose you won't be disappointed. Highly recommend to visit. Ill definitely return.

The waitress' were on top of there game. Place was super packed for Cinco De Mayo and the staff was still very responsive. On to the good now. I had the Carne Asada burrito and let me tell you that thing is huge! The size of the burrito is pretty much the same size as my forearm. It was very good but i don't understand the concept of having the sour cream on top of the burrito. It gets extremely messy. For desert i had the cuatro leches. I have to say that its big enough to share. And i dont share my desert. Really tasty stuff. I will definitely visit them again

After a meeting I had got canceled, I felt like I needed nice drink and was craving guacamole. We came across this place on Yelp and saw the delicious pictures of margaritas. My friend ordered a classic one on the rocks with salt, and I got the house sangria. Both were delicious and served in large glasses. We had our guacamole made at our table, which allowed us to customize the spice level and to omit any ingredients. The portion was perfect for 2 guacamole lovers, and you can tell that the tomato and avocado was very fresh. We also ordered a chicken soup and a black bean soup. The food came out right away. Hands down, best black bean soup I've had in awhile. My friend raved over the chicken soup. We ordered a second round of drinks and the service was prompt. The orders were taken on an ipad and we could pay through the ipad as well. This place had a great looking menu but we didn't try anything else. We will definitely be coming back here.

Wow. What an experience. The food was decent at best and the service was great as everyone but our waiter brought our food and were attentive to our table.. Until it came type to pay. The server was pushy on getting a tip. I had put in one amount in their handy tablet and he thought it was too low & followed up with "was the service not good enough?". Ummmmmmm... What do you think?! I'd love to give $10 to everyone else that serviced us but no guy, not you. They deserve the tip, not you. I budged and added more to the tip and I couldn't get there fast enough as I was livid & didn't want to ruin other patron's dining experience. Seriously?! Never coming here again.

Amazing, authentic Mexican food. Service is great but a little slow. Please if you are into Mexican give this place a try. As soon as you walk by you see the care and detail that goes into their food. I think they are really proud....and so should you! If you are into sweet and salty please try the "Platanos Rellenos". They are out of the world. Today we had the tostadas and the chimichanga. Both unbelievable ! Also, if you love spicy and love margaritas, please have the spicy guava margarita. You will love it! Pictures attached so you can start getting hungry! Ps: dogs allowed outside!! My baby had shredded beef and loved it! ;)

This place is great as far as authentic Mexican cuisine is concerned. I had the burrito can't remember which one exactly but it was huge. Also had the bulldog margarita which was okay to say the least. Does need some work to be honest. Overall had a good experience. One of the waiters was very unhelpful and uncooperative but the hostess was great and handled the situation with ease. The seating is a little limited so we were left outside which is brutally hot. Oh and they brought out mariachis which was awesome. Overall had a good experience. Definitely will return and recommend friends as well. Good work. Keep it up guys.

Friend brought me here for lunch. Great staff but the atmosphere is very bland and nothing on the menu stood out to me. I ended up ordering a super spicy soup. As a fan of spicy foods this was my best bet... I admit, it was spicier than I expected, in a good way. Reasonably priced too. If you can find something on the menu you like and live nearby, go for it.

I do not know what everyone sees in this place. I've been here more than 4 or 5 times, and I've never really been impressed. The only thing I will compliment this place on is their freshly made guacamole made right at the table side. My fiance love this place though and swears is authentic and tastes amazing. He loves the tacos. I've ordered tacos, burritos, and fajitas, and the flavor is just not there for me. I'm willing to continue going and trying new things. Maybe I need to try something totally different like their salad or something.

The tostadas are amazing! Like most people, I love Mexican food or Tex-Mex and I've been to a few here in Florida and some in Texas. And like most people, I have discovered that all Mexican food is not created equal. El Rancho Grande is probably the most delicious Mexican food in Kendall. The plate I usually get here is the chicken enchiladas (can be made with pork with green sauce (a little spicy). It comes with refried beans and rice. I'll start by saying this is a very filling meal at a great price. The enchiladas are covered in sour cream (I usually don't like sour cream, but the server told me that they add something to the sour cream that makes it taste better, at least to me) and the spicy green sauce. While this is nothing special, the taste is amazing. Then, there's the tostadas. These are hard taco saucers topped with lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, and chicken (or your choice of pork or beef). All the fresh vegetables on the tostadas make it a very refreshing meal. These are also served with rice and refried beans. If you find yourself in the Kendall area and have a craving for Mexican, do yourself a favor and go to El Rancho Grande.

First time here. A very well hidden Mexican restaurant that is amazing. Great food and great service - what more can you ask for? Well prices are good too!

Recently decided to give it a try after reading all the positive reviews. I have to say everyone was right. We started off with fresh guacamole and, of course, margaritas. I had 2 spicy guava margaritas, and they were AMAZING. Honestly much better than I thought they were going to be. Not too sweet, but just right. The guacamole (which I couldn't stop picking at) was made to order, and the jalapenos added a special kick! We figured we'd stick with sampling appetizers to give several things a try. The platanos rellenos are a must. They're made out of everything I love, maduros, mexican cheese and pork. We also ordered the Sampler Antojitos which was okay, not something we'd order again. Keep in mind this place is a bit small. There is outside seating, but I do recommend calling in advance for larger parties. Came with my boyfriend and ended up sitting at the bar to avoid waiting the 20-30 minutes. All in all, this is definitely a place worth giving a try!

This is a local establishment with great food and wonderful service. The food is rustic and authentic and everything from the chips and guacamole to the drinks (spicy guava margarita) and main courses are delicious. Some standouts include the cochinita pibil, tacos mexicanos, enchilada de queso with green sauce, and the chimichanga de frijol (the last two are vegetarian).

To expensive for food. I will pay any price for food, but this place is way to much! The food is good and service and service is ok.

Okay this used to be my go to Mexican spot and I would drive across county through hell and high water for their authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine. But last year they changed their menu prices. First they stopped giving free refills on chips and salsa. What used to be $11.50 for 3 tacos with rice and beans suddenly became $12 for 3 tacos, no sides (salsa and a dollop of guacamole doesn't count sorry!). If I want to add the good ole rice/beans which is standard at any Mexican place on earth (outside of taquerias)? $2.50 each...Say what?! No, you heard me. What used to be a $12 plate is now $17 for 3 tacos, rice and beans. *sigh* this is not south beach, this is not Boca, this is not high end. We inquired as to why this was done and were told no one really ate the rice and beans. Really? I won't even bore you with expounding on that. There are numerous remedies like removing them from the plates but lowering the prices? I just can't justify $17 for 3 tacos on a plate, maybe if Chef Ramsey cooked it, but if you can, go for it. The food is great!

I love this place. We go often. We have tried everything on the menu (almost) and it's always delicious. Every.Single.Time. Also, the food has a really good quality to it. It tastes fresh and like an authentic Mexican meal without being too saucey or overcooked. I always get the fajitas and my SO really likes the enchiladas, chile rellenos, chile verdes ... everything really. Also, order a side of guacamole, not the full order. It's significantly cheaper and works fine for just two people with the chips. EDIT: I'm lowering the stars to 4 only because, while the food is delicious for everyone involved, I regularly have meat in my veggies fajitas. This happens sometimes and I get it so I usually don't make a big deal out of it. But it started to happen, regularly, to the point where I was nervous to even eat the fajitas without picking through them! A simple mistake is fine. But over and over again? That just becomes disappointing. I finally stopped going just because I feel like a restaurant should get it together in that regard. If you don't mind something accidentally ending up in your dish then I'd say it's still a really great place to go!!

I've always decided to go next door to Puerto Madero, but this time I took the plunge and went south of the border. I'm so glad we did! If you like your mouth on fire, get their spicy shredded beef broth for an appetizer. At first you're like WHOA but then you'll be saying OK gimme more. A great show is the guacamole prep. Right in front of you 3 avocados and the rest of the ingredients are mixed and mashed until perfection. Add a basket of chips and you'll be in heaven. As for the rest of the food. it's pretty good. From the sampler to quesadillas to the pollo mole (awesome btw) makes you appreciate authentic Mexican food.

My new favorite Mexican restaurant. Sat down quickly on a Saturday night even though it was busy. Had a chicken taco bowl. Wow. It was delicious. It was chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole etc served on a fried taco (the shell tasted like an empanada shell). With black beans and rice on the side. Awesome. Great drinks too. Margarita was very good. Great service. We'll be back

Let me start by saying that I love Mexican food ! Absolutely totally and utterly obsessed with good Mexican food. I believe that I would be able to live off of chips and salsa for the rest of my life if I needed to. Anyway now that you understand my unhealthy obsession I just want to say this place is HOT FIRE... Why u may ask ? Because these people do it right here the chips outta hand, the chimichanga that I ate was glorious!! I consider myself a chimichanga connoisseur and let me tell you this thing was a gift from baby jesus. I was really happy to have found this place and I have made it a regular 'hot spot" when i want to indulge in my favorite food. The prices are descent, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and they offer outside seating which is nice. HOWEVER this place is tiny and you might have to wait for a table which sucks because the staff tend to get confused and aren't the best at accommodating patrons who aren't seated. They kind of have a deer in headlights look and they avoid eye contact. Maybe they think "if I don't engage then maybe they will go away" SIR, no!! You give me a table ASAP, because I need to indulge in my super gluttonous ways!! Either way this place is great just avoid it on busy nights.

El Rancho Grande is a little gem in Kendall. Their table side guacamole is excellent, catered to what you like (onions, jalapeños, etc) But my absolute favorite is their tortilla soup. They throw little chunks of white mexican cheese in that start to soften as you're eating it. My husband's favorite is the caldo de res, but beware, it is really spicy! Service can be iffy, and my order has been put in incorrectly before. But I will continue to go back.

I've been to El Rancho Grande twice and have been very impressed both times. The last time I went, I had el plato Mexicano. It was a combination of several things including, Chicken mole, a couple enchiladas, some sort of pork deal, and rice and beans. The mole was as good as it gets. Very legit. My wife had the appetizer sampler for her dinner, it consisted of several deep fried chingaderas. Taquitos, chimichangas and other stuff like that. She sucks at picking meals at Mexican food places. The best part of El Rancho Grande is that they serve Pacifico.

I do not understand why this place has any negative reviews. Although I know every restaurant has their bad days, even a bad day at El Rancho Grande is a good day if you have the guacamole and anything with carnitas on it. My fiance and I have been here twice already and have been beyond satisfied each time. The first time, we tried the platanos rellenos...at least I think that's what they're called, but they weren't stuffed, they were sweet, flattened plantains fried and topped with chicken, carnitas and ground beef. They were all so good, but something about the carnitas at this place just make them stand out. As an entree, boyfriend got a chimichanga, which is the size of an infant, and I got the tacos with carnitas, of course. The second time we went, we tried the guacamole. I will never pay an arm and a leg for guacamole at Rosa Mexicana again. These people also do it table side, give you a larger portion, and just add more flavor to it. It's the kind of thing you keep eating even if you're full, SO SO good. As an entree, my boyfriend got a chimichanga, but this time, he had it with carnitas (of course) and added melted cheese on top. OH WOW. So delicious and full of flavor. I had the taco salad which came in a yummy, crunchy taco bowl and a side of THE BEST REFRIED BEANS I'VE EVER HAD and yes, they are caps lock worthy. I was eating them by the spoonfull. So so good! Each time, we have had the same female server and she is great! Made wonderful recommendations.

I found this place through yelp and the good reviews did not disappoint. It's a little pricey IMO but I don't mind paying good money for good food. The guacamole is made table-side and is delicious...and Im not a guacamole person. The chimichanga I ordered was good as well. Service could have been a little quicker but otherwise great. I will return.

Like most Americans, I've been enjoying Mexican food in one incarnation or another most of my life. Throughout my life long food journey I've been fortunate enough to have so called "authentic" Mexican food in many places, even in Mexico. (Ever had Americanized Mexican food at a cruise ship port?). Anyway I digress... Back to the place at hand, "El Rancho Grande" in Kendall. This fine restaurant is one of three locations owned and operated under the same name by a close-knit Mexican American family. The other two locations can be found on Miami Beach - one north and the other south, respectively. The Kendall location is headed by Chef Genesis and managed by Kevin. They are two hardworking twenty something's with a lot of energy and a zeal for good food and excellent service. Over the last few years, the Kendall location of this trifecta of authentic Mexican restaurants has steadily grown in popularity and polish. I've watched this family take a locale that was once a seldom visited Quiznos and turn it into a must visit place to eat and a great place to celebrate any occasion. They are proof positive that if you serve up good food and service people will respond affirmatively. And respond they have. On any given Friday or Saturday evening you can expect a wait of 15-30 minutes to get a table inside or out. So how's the food, you ask? Well simply put, it's excelent! Their menu contains both traditional Mexican favorites we all know and love, and some more authentic dishes served up the way they make it at home. You start off with a table warmer of fresh chips and salsa. (Don't worry, the salsa is mild and easily palatable to anyone who can't handle the heat.) You will then be invited to try something from their bar. I highly recommend one of their awesome spicy guava margaritas to help set the mood. From here the sky is the limit; from tacos to chilaquiles and from chips to Miami's BEST Tres Leches, you will not be disappointed. (That's right, you read that correctly - they have IMHO the BEST Tres Leches in town. And trust me, I've had them just about everywhere they serve it.) My favorite appetizers include the ceviche and maduros rellenos. From there I highly recommend the shredded beef chilaquiles. Or for a special treat, try them home style with steak and a fried egg. Yummy! For those with a big appetite you can't go wrong with one of their humongous (I kid you not, the thing is as big as a newborn baby) burritos or even the Mexican Parrillada, which is essentially a fajita including enough steak, chicken, pork, shrimp, fish and bacon for four. Of course, you will thank your creator if you are lucky enough to find Pozole on their specials menu. What is Pozole, you ask? It is a traditional Mexican stew made with pork and white corn, and it is to die for - thanks to Chef Genesis' grandmother's original (dare I say it, authentic) family recipe. Kendall is full of many fine places to get a good meal. But without a doubt, you will be hard pressed to find a place with better food, service and atmosphere at this affordable price point, than this fine establishment. And, you definitely won't find a better Tres Leches anywhere in town. You can take that one to the bank...

Great service and atmosphere...as for the food, it's ok...just ok. You can't expect much for west Kendall. I would recommend a bit more flavor and perhaps better ingredients to aid that. All in all it's just another mediocre place to eat in Kendall.

My first experience at El Rancho was less then favorable but the lord is all about forgiveness right? So after a year long hiatus, we decided to return for a second chance. Things I like: For starters they no longer enforce their ridiculous policy of limiting their customers to ONE basket of chips and the charging you per basket. Tacky....I mean this is a MEXICAN restaurant. Other things that stuck out, the reys soup. Spicy ropa vieja style beef in a bowl of broth fire!!!! I highly recommend it but make sure you have a thick stomach lining before digesting, it literally is fiery good! Guacamole, good not the best I've had but I'd definitely order it again. Things I kinda liked: Tacos pastor, ehh not exactly what I was expecting. I was thinking shredded pork in a mole kinda sauce, this was more like carnitas in a dry rub. Again good, not great. Chicken fajitas, more onions then chicken. It comes with a side of rice, guacamole, sour cream and refried beans. Ok but nothing special. Things I hated: Nada Things I loved: The service, the waiters were on it and I greatly appreciate it!! All in all a solid 3 1/2 stars!

Back again, more of the same but even better. I love it when a smallish local resturant does well. Again, great service, great food, well trained staff. I just wish I could find more room in my stomach to eat more.

Amazing! Best Mexican food in Miami. From beginning to end no complaints. Service was great. Food was delicious. Margarita was the bomb. I made a yelp account just to write a review on this restaurant. Yes, it was that good. Oh, and the fresh guacamole made at your table is the best I've had. Must go!

There is no other place in Kendall to grab Mexican food anymore...Not since El Rancho Grande came around! I try not to get too attached to new south-of-the-border restaurants in my neck of the woods, as they seem to pop up and shut down kinda quickly. My last go-to place is no longer. But I have very, very high hopes that this place will be around for a long time. How could it not be? Their food is delicious, their drinks are refreshing and make me happy, and the staff is awesome! Add the cute ambiance and you've got a sure-fire recipe for success! If there is one thing and one thing only that you order here, do yourself a favor and make it the Table Guacamole. Someone comes to your table, a la hibachi style, to make the guacamole before your eyes. You can order it exactly how you want it- extra jalapeno, add garlic, super lemony, whatever picks your pocket! It's also pretty huge... *technically* it can probably feed around 5-6 people for an appetizer, though I've managed to finish it off with just one other person helping me. So. delicious. To go with your perfect guacamole you should also order a couple of margaritas on the rocks. Pretty generously filled with lots of tequila and just the right amount of mix and salt. Best margaritas in kendalltown...and for 6.50 a pop they're a pretty pretty pretty good deal. Everything else on their menu is equally good, but I find myself ordering the same thing each time I go. I. Just. Can't. Stop.

This place was a great find. It is the best mexican food I have had in Miami. It is a great change from the big franchise chains. First of all, the staff is extremely nice and friendly. They truly know what service means... Which is a nice change from most other places we go to. They remember us by name, always get the order right, are quick and courteous, and always have a smile on their faces. The food is excellent! The chips and salsa that they start you with are addictive. My favorite are the tacos Mexicanos, my wife's is the burrito, and my son loves the rancherito. Some note able items are the flautas, the Mexican parillada, the shrimp quesadillas, and the carne asada. To be honest, we have never not liked anything here, and we go very often. For desert, the sopapillas are a must. Cinnamon and sugar coated crisps, drizzled with pure honey, and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I would also recommend the tequilamisu. Great place and a must for any Mexican food fanatic.

I did not have very high expectations for this Mexican restaurant in the middle of suburbia, but I was in for a pleasant surprise! My girlfriend and I went here for an early dinner and sat outside with out dogs. This is one of her favorite places in Kendal and the owners know her, but it seemed to me they were treating all their patrons just as well as us. I judge all my Mexican places by their chips and salsa. Rancho Grande passed with flying colors, as did everything else we ordered. My sopa azteca was wonderful - a kind of spicy shredded beef tortilla soup. We also had a dish that involved shrimp, tomatoes and peppers that I forget the name of, which is too bad because it was the star of the meal. We also ordered the table-side guacamole. Hats off to whoever is picking out produce because that was probably the best guac I have had in quite a while. It is a huge portion and definitely worth the $9. Take that, Rosa Mexicano!!! I also ordered the chicken mole as takeout for my significant other. Of all the dishes I tried this one was just okay. The mole was a bit too creamy and sweet for my taste but others may like it. I did appreciate that they packed the beans, rice and chicken in separate containers so the meal did not turn into slop before I made it home. I would definitely order takeout from them again. I need to make special mention of El Rancho Grande's margaritas. It was probably the best margarita I have ever had. Super smooth with a flavored salt on the rim. It turns out they make their own in-house sour mix which is probably why they are so wonderful. I will be going back not as the DD next time for sure. I am just sad they got rid of their South Beach location. I would have become a regular for sure.

Best in Kendall hands down!!! have tried the flautas, tacos, plantain appetizer, chimichangas, and breakfast chilaquiles and all have been wonderful! New fave place...oh and Wednesday nights they have the best Mariachis I have came across!

This place has the best of 2 of my manny favorite things: guacamole with chips and margaritas!!!! . Please order the table guac you won't be disappointed, specially the cute young waiters that make it :). Place is tucked away in a cozy little shopping center with both inside and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking, place is clean, service is great, and prices are good. I always end up ordering the same thing: tacos carnitas. However I can't stress enough how important it is to order the table guac, or should I call it custom table guac???? yes you heard right !!!. They make the guac right in front of your very own eyes and allows you to mandate the amount of each ingredient, aaaahhhh total food bliss. So orale your way on over to the "El Rancho Grande" and have your self a guac, buen provecho.

I decided to give this place a try after a coworkers recommendation and I am so glad I did. I have been here about 5 times over the last few weeks and have not been disappointed. I've had the platanos rellenos.....amazing. The guacamole is also very very good and made at the table side. All the entrees I've tried have been very flavorful right down to the beans....and even their Mexican Pepsi tastes different. Mexican coffee had a hint of cinnamon...delicious! And the churros for dessert were great!!! All in all I would definitely recommend this place.

I have never been to the Lincoln Road location that is listed in several other reviews and so cannot compare. What I do know is that I arrived here at 9:45pm when this location closes at 10:00pm and they told us that it wouldn't be an issue to seat or serve us. That says a lot about the business. That bolsters their image a lot in my mind. Our server was jovial and helpful throughout the meal. The decor was a tad odd, but I was more focused on choosing my meal so that I didn't hold the cooks or server up too much past closing time. On our menu for the night: Iced Tea Coke Chicken quesadilla Taco with ground beef and cheese only Steak burrito with green sauce Our server brought out our drinks along with chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were okay and we ate them mindlessly as we waited for the rest of the meal to come out. Our meal was quick to arrive and we dug in. I didn't touch the taco, but the chicken quesadilla was good. I moved on to the steak burrito with green sauce. This was a good green mole and definitely something I could get again. The steak was good and coupled with the mole I rather enjoyed the meal. I wouldn't consider this a real Mexican restaurant but more a Tex-Mex. I could definitely return.

I had another great meal here today! Chips and salsa are good, but I always ask for hotter sauce and today they brought me the Chipotole (yeah baby). I was alone, but had I brought friends I would have made them order the Guacamole - which they make fresh at your table. Good Sangria, tacos and Chile Relleno. Service is good and very friendly. You can't go wrong here for a family dinner. Andale pues!

Perhaps the best Mexican food I've ever had, and I've lived in San Diego and traveled widely in the Southwest, so my opinion is not entirely without merit :-). Everything I've tried has ranged from very good to best in class, but the two highlights for me are the chili verde (pork in an incredible, nicely spicy green sauce) and the carnitas tacos (the pork is just the right crispiness and uniquely flavored). Let me put it this way: I made my friends from upstate try the chili verde, and they got so addicted that every time the husband comes down on his own, his wife makes him bring her some back, even if he and I don't eat there on that visit! But again, every dish I've tried (i.e., about two-thirds of the menu) has been great, so you can't really go wrong here. As for ambiance, it's a nice little joint -- the decor and prices are a bit above the norm, but that's hardly a drawback given the quality of the food. Occasional live music, but I don't think they have a fixed schedule for it. Very nice and attentive staff every single time I've been there, with large and small parties.

El Rancho Grande is a very small, yet cute little restaurant serving Tex-Mex style food. The service was excellent and the food arrived in no time; however, the food was a little on the bland side. We ordered a Mango Margarita (blended), chicken and shredded beef enchiladas, and the Tacos Mexicanos (which comes with carnitas, carne asada, chicken and al pastor tacos). The Mango Margarita was good, but it lacked the right amount of alcohol. The chicken and beef enchiladas were covered with a very tomato-y sauce, which was okay. The meat in the tacos tasted as if they were not marinated or seasoned at all, which was very disappointing. The chips and salsa (we had the house salsa and salsa verde) were pretty good and the rice that came with the entrees was bland. One note: If you do not like corn tortillas, they will replace the corn tortillas with flour tortillas, which some restaurants do not like doing. It was nice to try a Mexican food place that we haven't tried before, but I don't see us visiting again in the future. Oh how I miss the Mexican food in L.A.

Great little mexican neighborhood joint. As good as Guadalajara, though a little pricier. Burritos and chimichangas are huge and plentiful; chips and salsa are good (chips a little on the greasy side). Overall, service & food are great for a little joint that CAN.

I decided to try it one day and found that it is decently priced and has some of the best apps, entrees, desserts and DRINKS!!!! I love the chicken quesadillas and the banana dessert is the best. Service is good and they are really friendly too!!!! Go and check it out!!!!!!!!!

If I could give this place more stars, I would! Mexican food is my favorite, especially homemade Mexican food! This place was amazing, the service was nothing but the best. The venue was small but cute, very intimate. I went for lunch and had the lunch special with a Cozumel soup, which was delicious. My husband LOVED the soup and he hates soup. For the entree I had chicken fajitas with guacamole, sour cream, cheese, onions and green pepper. They are the best fajitas I've ever had! By the time the waiter came by to ask us if we wanted dessert, we were so full but next time we are definitely not missing out! El Rancho Grande definitely has a fan in me.

To me, the service is just as important as the food. Food is good but the service is HORRIBLE!!! Im really disappointed. We go weekly and every time we go, its the same crap. 20 min went by & no one came to the table. We had to flag someone down. Then we spent the entire time there flagging down anyone for refills & good luck if you ask for anything extra, like ketchup. You might get it by the following time you return & that's IF you return! Our appetizers came out with our food & the only reason they even came out was because I asked the water girl to PLEASE find out about our appetizers because it had been for ever! The manager was just as clueless as some of the waiters & a little on the abrupt side. Not very accommodating or at the least make you feel comfortable like you should with a customer, let alone a loyal customer. He came to our table & told me my child could not eat from the kids menu because he looked older which he wasn't. But just the fact that he came over to say that & question us regarding his age was soooo rude & petty of him. It was ridiculous. That REALLY pissed me off!! I think the owners need to look into hiring & TRAINING new & more staff & be more present to witness the screw ups for themselves! By the way, If you walk in & see the majority of the tables full, then EXPECT horrible service!!!

Great mexican spot. Small place, family location, very economical. Great dishes. They can make the guacamole in front of you. The food tastes fresh. The beans are delicious. Overall good place! Recommend for anyone and everyone.

This cozy Mexican restaurant is our newest find in the heart of Kendal. Although it is a bit small and sometimes the wait exceeds 10 minutes, its well worth the wait. The service is pretty good. The food comes out fairly quickly and it is very fresh and noticeably made to order. They have a kids entree called "el rancherito" (mix of fajita style chicken and steak, rice, refrito beans) that is perfect for my little toddler. My husband orders the Tacos Mejicanos, which are delicious. We've also ordered shredded beef Chimichangas, Tacos al Carbon, and Burritos and they are all great. For the sweet tooth in us, there's a dessert called Sopapillos, that is awesome! Super simple with honey, fried flour tortillas and vanilla ice cream but soooo mouth watering! Oh, and how could I forget, their margaritas are the perfect compliment to their great food! Love this place!

Food was good, service was meh. It took a while for them to come and even take our drink order, and even more time to come take our food order. They also messed up my food order but they took it back and brought the right thing within 5 minutes. The guy bringing out the food didn't even seem to know what the food he had in his hands was. "Is this mole sauce?" "Eh... I don't know. It's the chicken enchiladas." "Yes but I ordered them with mole sauce and this is red." "Eh.... I don't know." "................." We ordered the nacho appetizer which was good but considering the price, I expected a pile of nachos and not a neatly organized ring of about 15 nachos around the edge of the plate with a blob of lettuce in the center. I would go back because the food tasted good and the actual meal portion (non-nachos) was right for the price. I just hope to have a better waitress.

This place was great. Small, clean, nice decor and over the top service. My favorite part was the guacamole served fresh and prepared before us. It was chunky, perfect texture and outstanding flavor. I really enjoyed it and I will DEFENITELY return. Thumbs up from my end!

I enjoyed it. Food was hot and tasty. Service was good. There was also a good amount of food, which is important to me. The only slight bummer is that you only get one round of chips and salsa on the house, beyond that you have to pay. But it's ok. We just went through one round anyway. Would definitely recommend it if you're in the area. I had the veggie fajita and really enjoyed it.

I heard about this restaurant while I was in line waiting to vote, the people in front of us said they loved their food. We finally decided to give it a try. Went there with husband and the kids, the place was busy and we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. We sat outside and I would say the service could be better, but the food was very good. I plan to go back...

Went on a date night with my boyfriend last night and we had a great time! The restaurant is on the smaller side but they have seating both inside and out so we were seated rather quickly. The waiter was very pleasant and very attentive. We started off with the strawberry margarita and the fresh strawberry juice, which both taste yummy. For the appetizer we had the queso fundido with chorizo which was AMAZING. For our entree's we had the chimichanga and the chicken flautas, which were incredible. I would definitely come back again!

slowest service EVER! took an hr for the food to come out & by the time we were served it looked like it came from the kids menu... my entree was the size of an appetizer... unless you want to wait for hrs for a few tiny bites i suggest you go elsewhere...

Had dinner here with family. It's cool that they offer guacamole made right at your table. You can include ceviche with it too. Our waiter was very nice and extremely helpful and the food selection was traditional and included large portions. They also offer half-yards (always a plus) of beer and I tried a passion fruit margarita that was like having dessert all through dinner. I had a chicken burrito with salsa verde on top and my husband had the chicken enchilada also with salsa verde on top. They both came with refried beans and spanish rice so both entrees pretty much tasted the same. It was a decent place if you're looking for some Mexican food with good service and good food.

A friend recommended this place. I have not been to the south beach location, just this one. The service has always been great. I've only been twice and both times had the same waiter. He's super nice and tried his hardest to explain the differences between some plates lol. Even though I didn't really understand what I ordered I loved it nonetheless. I think it was this plate that had a flauta (the best!), a chimichonga (spelling?), and some other thing. Idk. Both times I went I tried to order the same thing but I didn't really remember what I had the first time so the second time it was slightly different. Still very pleased! Prices are great and there's a crapload of variety on the menu so u don't have to have the typical Mexican thing although you should cause it's soooo good! Love this place. Best mexican food in Miami!!!

My new favorite Mexican spot!! Love the platano relleno appetizer which is 4 sweet plantains each topped with either chicken, pork, ground beef or steak, topped with white cheese and crema. MMMM...Then I get the enchiladas with salsa verde. They really have the best salsa verde I have ever had. My husband gets the chimichanga and it is delish - fried to perfection. The guacamole is fresh and made to order. The food is just really good.

This is one of the few Mexican restaurants in West Kendall, and luckily it's pretty good. We had the chicken mole which was excellent, and tilapia baked with zucchini was only ok. Best to stick to the traditional Mexican dishes. The restaurant is nice and their prices are reasonable.

This is some of the best Mexican on Kendall. Definitely get the nachos - we ended up taking an order to go they were so great. Also ask for the medium salsa when they put chips on the table. We loved the Miami Beach location and were worried about finding good Mexican after moving further South. You can always count on a good margarita at El Rancho Grande!

I really LOVE this place! I must say their service is absolutely incredible! The few times that I have been there I have been treated so nicely its ridiculous! (in a good way lol) The food also never disappointing, always fresh and portions are just right, they have a wide range of Mexican foods and also some Latin American dishes in their menu as well. Their drink menu is also very extensive, you are sure find something you love in this place. The best thing is the fact that when you order Guacamole the waiter comes to your table with a rolling bar and makes the guac right there in front of you! I was super pleased with this and thought it was something new and different, they also give you free chips and salsa before your meal! Of course I ordered the steak fajitas and LOVED them!!! This is definitely my favorite Mexican place in Kendall!

I'm a big fan of Mexican food. Although I usually go to Don Burrito (by the Sunset Sports Grill), my wife and I decided to try out a new place. We went there not long after their grand opening. We got there pretty early (like around noon) on a saturday and the place was empty. Very nicely decorated inside, but rather small. The menu offered a wide variety of things, including the usual authentic Mexican platters. My wife ordered the "antojitos" platter and I got the "Tostadas". I have to say, I've been to very few places that serve Tostadas, and these were very very good. My wife found the food a bit bland and overpriced, but I was ok with it. At least the service was excellent!!!

This is my "Go To" Spot if I want to get a fix on genuine, fresh, mexican food. The service is "Spot On". The food is second to none. It's kinda easy to miss so yo have to look for it but once you find, it will become a regular. The burritos are big enough to satisfy a blue whale. Definately will visit over and over again. One more thing the steak nachos are out of control good.

Ok so I finally found a Mexican place in my area that has great service and great food!! I had previously been a fan of the restaurant Tex Mex and La Hacienda Real but after my last experience at La Hacienda Real, I thought I was doomed to find a great Mexican restaurant in Kendsll. The food is really good and the staff is very courteous and welcoming. It is always packed which is always a great sign and their portions are very generous. Will be returning again and again..

Authentic Mexican food! Great taste and very natural. Service and prices ok. Guacamole is amazing. Also Pastor Tacos.

The absolute best guac in town! Made fresh in front of your eyes. The service here it's excellent, the servers are regular ans its cool to get to know them. My recommendation is to try the queso fundido with chorizo.

Wow! This place has gotten better with time. The food is excellent. The chef has a unique style for presenting traditional Mexican food. The plantain tacos are incredible. The burrito is amazing. One person cannot eat a whole one; and the flavor is out of this world! Their guacamole is excellent as well.

I highly recommend this Mexican restaurant. The food, drinks and atmosphere are great. The food is fresh, large portions, and tastes authentic. I have thoroughly enjoyed anything I've eaten there and the mango margaritas.

  • Jonathan S.

  • Y P.

Great food, great service!! I always order their chimichangas because they are my favorite and recently discovered an amazing appetizer not sure on the name but it's fried plantains topped with your choice of ground beef, chicken or steak along with Mexican cheese and crema.

Food is great, but service not as much, I regularly visit this place an have noted the quality of service the place now looks a bit run down, opening day is over.

  • Luis B.

  • Jesus R.

Guava Mojitos are the best! And their green salsa.... Amazing! For something really cool try their spicy guava margarita. Their tacos are great too! Best refried beans and their fresh guac is excellent too.

Wait staff was very friendly . Food was really good. However, while finishing eating (half hour before closing) staff started to pick up the seats and swept the floor. Very uncomfortable while eating.

This place is amazing. The food is great and I always try basically the same group of foods. What makes it so spectacular is the AMAZING customer service. They are always attentive, always smiling and always seem genuine. Come with my boyfriend here often.

This is one of my favorite places to eat and the service is outstanding. We eat her almost weekly since there's a variety of selections to choose from. You must try the platanos rellenos if you like a sweet and salty combination and the tostadas are great.

Mexican Food is my favorite and I recently discovered this small place that is slightly hidden in a shopping center.

  • Ann K.

  • Tyler S.

  • Monica S.

  • Roy V.

One of the best local restaurants. Always fresh food and great service. Never fails to deliver authentic Mexican food. Definitely a must visit.

Amazing food. Authentic. Delicious. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is due to their service dropping off lately.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
