I've eaten at this restaurant at least three times now. I have had the gyro, the octopus, the calamari and twice we have ordered the big meat platters. Everything tastes really good as long as you tell them medium on the meats so they are not over cooked. Our favorite is the babaganoush which is great! We have had a few issues with service. yesterday our server was just not helpful and it took a few tried to get water, we never got a side dish. Its a shame, but the food is good enough that i will go back.

I have to say, this was a very difficult review. I was very conflicted as to what to rate Eat Greek, which was highly recommended to me by a friend, but I think my final decision in terms of rating is fair. As I stated, this place came highly recommended. I was excited to see there was a Groupon deal, as this would allow me to try different items without breaking the bank. I purchased the Groupon and made it into a surprise dinner outing with my daughter. We arrived, found the small parking lot full, and parked on the street. I paid for 2 hours of parking and entered. We were greeted and sat down. The waiter brought us our menus and gave us time to decide. I did not see some of the Greek favorites like pastitsio or moussaka, and do not seem to recall seeing avgolemono or yemista, but perhaps they wanted to differ themselves from other locales and not offer these options. After some back and forth with my daughter, who was indecisive, we made our choices: dolmadakia, a chicken gyro pita, and chicken souvlaki pita. We waited to place our order, and within a few minutes of placing it, a small sample of the gyro was brought to our table. This was a nice gesture. My daughter didn't think she'd like it, but she did! The dolmadakia (stuffed grape leaves) came next, and the portion was actually pretty decent, compared to other places that only give you 4 or 5 stuffed grape leaves. We would have liked them stuffed with meat, but did not see that option on the menu. Nonetheless, they were packed, flavorful, and fresh. Next, our meals came. From that moment on though, service became almost non-existent (hence my drop in rating). I ran out of water, and started borrowing some from my daughter. I figured maybe within the next minute or two, I will get a refill, but no. I think it took 30-45 minutes to be asked if I wanted a refill. I kid you not -- we were there for over 2 hours, and I am lucky the meter maid didn't ticket me. Perhaps it's my fault, I do not like being pushy toward waiters, so I didn't want to snap my fingers or yell "hey" at the waiter every time he came near me (like some other people were doing), but perhaps this is their concept, I don't know. This is definitely an area where they can improve. Most of the night, there was one waiter for about 7 or 8 tables, though there was personnel behind the counter (meaning they weren't short-staffed), so maybe it's just a question of instructing them to be more observant and help out. Our food was great, and authentically Greek, which makes sense, since the owner and the staff are all Greek. This is the way it ought to be in every Greek restaurant, though sadly, it isn't. The pita was nice and thick, the way Greeks make it, with a generous portion of tzatziki to keep the chicken moist, chopped tomato, and onion. Of course, it was loaded with fries, but not the greasy type of fries that Americans are used to, nor the soggy type, which was awesome. My daughter enjoyed her meal too. Then came dessert, which was unique, and delicious. I had never seen or tasted chocolate baklava. We devoured it, after admiring the artistry behind it. I recommend ordering this dessert if you're unsure of what to get. Again, it took 15-30 minutes to get someone to clear our dirty plates, and at that time, I decided to just ask for the bill, lest we be kept another hour. Here's where the real issue comes in: I gave them my Groupon, and they took my credit card before I could protest and request to see the bill before paying, as I don't like being billed for something without having a chance to look at it. When I got my receipt, I noticed a "service charge" for over $5.00. No one ever mentioned what it was, why I was being billed this, nor did the Groupon page ever disclose any mandatory charges at the time I purchased the deal, so I was blindsided. I can only assume it was a tip forced upon me, which I don't agree with, but the least they could do is point it out, because I was unsure of whether I was double tipping (there was a line for tipping underneath the total, in addition to this service charge) or if this was some other obscure charge. I don't appreciate hidden charges, especially when they're not explained or disclosed, and even more, when service is poor.

Top food and service. I was there last night with my sister and her kids. The owner and The staff suggest fantastic appetizers and a super tasty dessert with Nutella. We try a White wine from Santorini with babàganush and hummus. we had Octopus and other traditional food. Musica and ambience really authentic. falabel super good

Well the food isn't no too bad ! I love gyro the reason because I go to that place .. For 5 time Always (86) mostly items that you like Example today don't have chicken, other day don't have Lamb, even dessert 86 too etc .... The worst thing is the service always its poor and It takes a long time to serve the food. The tables always dirty .. They're alway forget some item always forget to put any ingredient or remove it if you order it. I order a delivery takes for ever and the guy always forget something .... At the phone we can't understand the girl and she can understand us .. so always make mistakes to send the food or make the order.. The list continue...

We have been here twice the food both times has been excellent. The Greek salad is delicious and they give you a nice piece of feta. This time we tried the Zeus platter for two yet it feeds 3 people easily. We love this place and we will be back soon. The only thing is that the room temperature could be cooler. The girl waiter is really nice!

today was my first time there, If I find a hair in my food, I feel the urge to warn people that eat there, the waiter didn't apologize, service was bad and food was ok Don't think I can come back, Nothing compared to Mandolin

With big and delicious portions at a fair price, Eat Greek is a winner for me. I'll start with a small but fantastic detail: you can get tirokafteri on your pita instead of tzatziki. Tirokafteri is a spread made from feta cheese and peppers. It's awesome. I am no great tzatziki lover, so I got the tirokafteri on my lamb gyro instead. It was great. The lamb was spot-on too: neither dry nor greasy, and with excellent flavor. The gyro also came stuffed with french fries. It was delicious. I also had a bite of the falafel pita (with tzatziki), and thought it was very tasty too. We also shared a hummus app, which was good though not great. I like a smoother consistency to my hummus, and this was pretty paste-like. Not something I'd bother to order again. You can also order Mythos beer here, which is pretty cool. It's a beer that will always remind me of vacation.

This is a very small locale so if you drive by too fast, you'll miss it. It has a very tine parking lot on the side of the building but it's free so if you can score a spot - it's awesome! I went their with a friend before heading out to another event. We wanted something healthy, fast, and close by. Eat Greek delivered on all three. We were promptly seated and our server was very nice. I immediately asked for a glass of wine (duh!) and opted for their house chardonnay. It was good but I must say, I was disappointed with the glass. I love the beauty of a wine glass but hey,. it was good and it was wine so I'll overlook it this time. I had the chicken gyro and it was very tasty. It comes with tons of french fries inside but I opted to get it with out the fries. The meat was tender and juicy but the pita bread was a bit hard. I didn't mind that too much because I didn't have much of the pita anyways. We were so stuffed we didn't order any dessert although they had quite a few on the menu. Their menu is quite expansive - I think anyone can find something to have there. All in all, I would definitely go back again to try their platters. Nice little place indeed!

I have mixed feelings about this place. The decor looks "cold-ish", and every time I've walked in I've felt like it's one of those places that just opened yesterday and they're still working out the decorations and where things go... The food is also a little bit of a hit and miss for me. The portions are huge, which is great, but some items lack flavor (like their grilled chicken), or are too heavy on french fries. This last one is probably the reason why my boyfriend loves this place (he's a child when it comes to fries). However, their spinach rice is delicious, their greek salad is out of this world with this thick chunk of creamy feta and tons of flavorful olive oil...and the grilled whole fish is THE BEST fish I've ever had. They cut it open for you and grill it with delicious herbs, spices and capers; the skin is deliciously crispy and even the poor fish eyes look tempting (out of context sounds yuck, but I swear when I'm eating this fish you could feed me a spoonful of fish oil too and I wouldn't notice lol) So GOOD! Their baklavas are delicious. Rich and chewy. My boyfriend loves their cheesecake baklava and I did too, until I tried their chocolate baklava; stole my heart...you were good to me cheesecake B! If they improved their decor to a more welcoming version and gave up the french fries craze (don't hate me, you can still have french fries in the rest of the U.S.) I would give them the 5th star. I hope my bf doesn't see this review...

This is place is right by my office so I went there for a business lunch. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Advised us that potions were large so we went with the sample appetizer platter that lets you choose 5 options, and shared one entree. There were three of us dining and the sample platter was enough for at least 5 people. The quality of the food is great. I don't know how they prepare their taziki but it is heaven in your mouth. I do think it's a little pricey for greek but well worth the splurge once in a while because of the quality, portions and exquisite taste of the food.

I would give these guys 5 stars but I have yet to try everything on the menu. The customer service is fair, the place is clean (a must), food I've had has always been delicious and the delivery service is on point (although sometimes it takes a while). One of the cooks reminds me of Seinfeld's soup nazi because of his lack of personality, but all in all, I've had pleasant experiences there. Tried the baklava the other day for the first time and it was tantamount to having an orgy in my mouth. I'm happy to hear they opened up a 3rd location in Brickell. With the economy in Greece the way it's been with 49% unemployment, I'm sure there's going to be more places like this opening.

  • Alexis C.

Service was phenomenal. The people they have at this location are really wonderful. We ordered two gyro platters which were not the best and we were expecting the best. The baklava was amazing. When you advertise as being authentic greek and all indications seem to back that up, the gyros should taste better than Gyroville and these didn't. Sad.

Went back last night and tried the Polpo! MUST have it. It's tender and delicious. The Tzaziki is still amazing and so are the stuffed grape leaves. I love this place.

Just less than a week after my first visit I came back again for lunch and this time I brought my mom who absolutely loved the place! The food was on point just like the first time and the service is absolutely amazing! Our waiter was incredibly friendly and nice! He even gave me the spoon as a gift so I could take my amazing yogurt parfait to go, nice touch! I think I'll start coming at least once a week and bring all my friends, luckily I live right in the neighborhood!

Eat Greek is always awesome! Great food for great prices keeps us coming back every week. Excellent service, the owner is always there and everyone is so friendly. You think you left Miami and landed in a much friendlier place! The chicken schnitzel with delicious is my favorite dish. You can switch the sides without being up charged like my last restaurant review. The Greek salad, the octopus and the grilled chicken is awesome. It's a great neighborhood place to meet friends and have great Greek fare. Oh and they have this chocolate dessert that you need to order at the start of the meal that is delicious, too!

Ordered food for delivery. An hour later and still no food arrived. Spoke to the front of house, they had no idea where the food was currently or how much longer it would be. Only when I confronted them by asking if they had any cell phone contact with the driver, did they actually check to see if my order had gone out. Take constructive criticism and hire more drivers. Another major problem I have with them as well is that they charge different prices than what is on their website menu. I ordered the lamb chops which say $20.99 and they charged me $28.99, unbelievable. If you can't display your prices correctly, don't display them at all because that's not my fault. Now for the on the food, it was mediocre at best; not to mention unbelievably cold. I ordered a side of hummus and to my disgust, I got about an ounce of dense store bought humus in a sample cup. Simply ridiculous. And for $2.50, I could have gone to the store and got a better store bought hummus. If you don't make it fresh, just take it off the menu period! The Chicken Gyro platter is no better. Firstly, what authentic Greek restaurant puts soggy disgusting fries on their gyro? Totally ruined the experience. The tzatziki sauce was flavorless and the meat was non-existent. It was almost as they used the fires to hide the fact they put 3 strips of meat on it! Growing up in NJ/NYC, I have had some amazing gyros, but this place has absolutely no idea how to make a gyro and that's a shame. The salad was great on the other hand. The feta that these guys use is quite amazing, was truly the star of the show. Not to mention the lamb chops were also quite amazing. It's a shame that the rest of their main dishes aren't on the same level. I will give them another shot, but i can't honestly recommend this restaurant for those reasons.

It's my first time in this Eat Greek, but I've been in a different location. The food is consistently delicious, the server was very friendly, the place is clean and spacious (it looks bigger once you are inside), conveniently located. I will definitely comeback.

Kiss French, Dress Italian, Drive German, Spend Arab, Eat Greek! Well said guys. Some of the best money spent on a meal is spent dining with these guys. I would occasionally poke into the South Beach spot. Until I recently fell victim to my apartment in SoBe being converted into a high rise and now am part of the diaspora on the other side of the bridge. The SoBe location was fine. I was really hoping, being that this version, being off the tourist mainstays would provide a little more attentive service. I'm really guessing it's a cultural thing. Servers are studly embodiments of Adonis with sincere demeanors. But the service aspect here is simple: "take the order, drop the food, never ask how the meal was, never offer a refill and drop the check, receive 25 percent just because guest loved the food and knows I'm in the market for another smedium T." Regardless of their approach to serving, the food is remarkable. No complaints there. Come hungry and enjoy heaping portions!

First let me say that I was super stocked about this spot opening. I love Greek food its always been a staple for me growing up. My sister married an authentic Greek (we broke plates at the wedding and all) and his family has spoiled me with delicious plates. So im a bit biased with my Greek. I tried this place a few times for lunch before i gave it my official review. The decor ambiance of this place fits right in with the neighborhood. Big and spacious for the small shopping center it's in. Competing with other favs in the block, Salsa fiesta, Sabor a Peru and jimmy johns. My first visit was a great experience, they gave me a few appetizers to try complimentary. The hummus was delicious the pita was soft and hot and the Tzatziki blew me away. The grilled egg plant in olive oil with spices was also very tasty. not too much oil to where it was swimming but just enough. truly great appetizers. 5 star there guys! Next my entree i ordered the chicken gyro but swamped out the fries for more spinach and salad. The portions are very large. I also added feta because unfortunately its not a part of it. so that was an extra. but i had to try their feta. and great choice it was very tangy just how i like it. not that Publix feta but real deal from the iles feta. you can either have the chunks of chicken or from that skewer machine. i went with the carved choice and it was great. seasoned very well not too thick or too thin where its falling apart. i left very full and extremely satisfied. The customer service is very "authentic homie" they are yelling in the kitchen in Greek and the guys upfront are as Greek as it gets. very attentive and helpful with the menu. Next time i had the chicken gyro to go and again it did not disappoint. They had a hard time getting my order over the phone because the kitchen gets really loud and apparently they can't hear the phone calls. so make sure to speak up. the next time I dined in no comp appetizers, figured it was because they were still in their opening weeks and were getting people to sample their stuff. This time i went for the fish since they have a nice display of fresh seafood imported directly form Greece. I decided to go with the Salmon plate that comes with brown spinach rice, wheat pita and a beet yogurt sauce. i asked for Tzatziki on the side bc i wasn't sure if i would like the beet sauce. And here is where they went from awesome to just good. The salmon had that charbroiled taste which killed it for me. the brown spinach rice was greasy and the beet sauce was a big blob of tasteless pink stuff. i was so unimpressed. my friends also said their food was very greasy. If you're looking for a Gyro, then def a great stop. the plates on the other hand not as healthy as you would expect. I'm not saying this place is horrible, just didn't match my expectations all around. I'm still going to continue to be their customer because there's still a lot of things on the menu i want to try and i just love a great gyro.

Too slow service and very unprofessional. The staff took 10 minutes to greed and clean my table... I waited more than 40 minutes for my food. Moreover, some customers that came after, received their food before. One of the waiters offer me a plate of food while waiting. Worst of all, after 40 long and unpleasant minutes of waiting, I requested my food to go. The waiter was so unprofessional and impolite that told me "OK JUST GO" in a really bad tone, like he was making me a favor... I left the food NOOT coming back - don't waist your time & money

I am married to a Greek man, from Greece yet I hate Greek food. Sure in Greece its fantastic. In America It is always drowned in Olive Oil, Salt and lemon which i find uneatable. So when this place opened up a 5 min walk from our condo i was all like "Nooo" full of drama. This placed revised my opinion of Greek food in America. probably because it is authentic Greek food as in they all are from Greece. They even have a Greek Pastry chef, Americans do not know how to make deserts the way Europeans do. I say this as an American and in horror seeing as I am on a diet and a Greek pastry chef is baking divine delights down the street from me. Like the universe wants me to be fat! Oh they also have a small Greek store in which they sell the Greek chocolates. Those chocolates are addicting do not try them 200 calories a square and you can not just eat one square. You cant it is impossible, I've tried! The food is crazy good and reasonably priced. I have hard they have a spot on south beach but I only food at this location and its good! We have had almost everything on the menu (I am married to a Greek thus we eat here once a week) and it is all fantastic. I like the chicken skewers because i can stick to my diet and its tasty and the lamb gyro (not on my diet) because it just fantastic. They also import fresh Greek fish which makes my guy droll, I do not eat fish but apparently this fish is the best in the whole ocean. We have taken all our friends here and now they drive from doral to eat here its just that good. we have a great time the atmosphere is fun and food is delicious and its reasonably priced. They have been open a month and are packed every time we go in or walk by. A must try and you will be a Greek food convert.

After a long wait they are finally open... And I loved the south beach location minus the fact it was on south beach so this midtown location is AWESOME... A lot more space and a lot more modern design.. Same a maaaa zing delish food!! This will be my lunch spot for sure and I will be sure to tell all my office mates and team members about it!! Chicken gyros all day!!! Yummmm!! Great service and authentic Greek vibe.. And when I say authentic I mean it.. Been to Greece and loved it and coming here makes me feel like I'm back on vacation!!

Poor service, high prices, food quality below average. They ran out of what I asked for. So the waiter said there was something similar, but it ended up being very different from the original dish. They forgot about the tea I asked for and when I reminded them they gave me cold tea. The food was totally average and overpriced. Very oily plates. The babaganush tasted funny and in general it had too much oil and mayo.

Like my mother always said: "you come for the food, but you stay for the FOOD." This is a small restaurant on Biscayne that brings in almost every local employee for lunch, especially when you are craving a gyro or sub, or just an alternative to sandwiches and fast food. The prices are fair, as the quality of the meats and preparation of the food really shine. We shared humus to start and both of us indulged in a lamb gyro (healthy version - substitute French fries for lettuce and tomato). I recommend this place to all who are seeking authentic Greek food; I have never seen this many Greeks in one place... Haha. The owners, cooks, wait staff and most of the customers are Greek!

I was eager to return and try other menu items that caught my eye on my first visit. This time, I visited along with family members that are first timers. We chose the Babaganoush, Greek salad, Hummus & Calamari. Each was outstanding! The overall favorites were the Babaganoush (best ever) & Calamari. Hands down, the Babaganoush can become an addiction! I commend the chef on his ability to crisp the Calamari to perfection! We then shared a Meat Pikila & a Gyros Platter. Every meat item was just as flavorful as the last visit and my family raved just as I suspected they would. We each had a serving of Baklava and it didn't disappoint either. Thursday night dinner turned into a feast for the eyes and taste buds and this is no exaggeration! Everyone said they definitely will return. By the way, our server (Julia) could not have been any more gracious, friendly and hospitable. She went out of her way to make our evening special. Thanks Julia! Both she and the chef send a couple of small items for my twelve year old nephew to try and that in Miami is unheard of. They make you feel as you're a part of the family. That was unique and very much appreciated! If you're in the mood for authentic, fresh Greek food that will truly please your palate, don't hesitate to pay Eat Greek a visit.

Edible. Customer service is creepily slow. Waiters rush you through the giant menu with way too many items and no explanation of dishes. Then the food takes forever, even if the place is empty. I had a lamb gyro. The lamb was tasty but I can't handle the french fries inside of a gyro. Would gladly have asked for them not to be added, but again, it wasn't described on the menu. So I had to pick them out which then shrunk my gyro down to lamb and tzatziki. Falafel gyro was nothing special. Most likely frozen falafel heated to serve. Greek side salad that came with the portion was a chopped tomato, slices of onion and one chunk of feta cheese. Kinda lame. "House" potatoes are giant tasteless cuts of potatoes that taste frozen and refried. Lacking flavor, to say the least. Really expensive in comparison to the quality of the food and service. Cheesiest decor ever. Won't be back.

This place is not a good representation of Greek food. It's more like Greek style food. Even the guys who work that will tell you. The place is not very clean, the service is very slow and you have to be careful with the food. Unless you order a $30-$40 dish, you will not get real meat. What they call "lamb" is some mystery meat ground to death seasoned to the point where you wouldn't guess what kind of meat it's made from. You may not want to know anyway. Same with the "chicken". There are a few plates that actually use real chicken meat (thigh) and they are kind of stingy with it. It's also very overpriced for the quality of the food.

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The food is outstanding. We've had lamb gyros, babaganoush, hummus, souvlaki, chicken and everything is delicious. The food is cooked in authentic Greek style, the ingredients are imported and organic. The portions are ample. The pita bread was freshly baked and wonderful. Even the vegetables in the Greek salad were all top quality, organic and delicious. Huge chunks of an excellent and flavorful feta cheese. The service is great, waitstaff has included the owners on a couple of visits who were very knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. I had a souvlaki that was chicken wrapped in bacon that was excellent. There was a dessert that was like a custard thing that was fresh out of the oven and to-die-for. It came with Nutella, but frankly I preferred it plain. This is my new favorite place!!

What an absolute loser. Ordered delivery from here last night. 2.5 hours later, nothing. Called them up and the rudest most ignorant guy tells me he has no idea where's food is. It should've been delivered two hours ago. He then offers to take my order again. 2.5 hours. I asked if he was kidding and if maybe he was going to ask their delivery person. He said no. It was some 3rd party and "whatever." I advised I didn't want to re-order 2.5 hours later and would not order from them again. He said, "do whatever you want man." He then hung up on me. No apology. No anything except arrogant attitude. I wouldn't buy tap water from these arrogant knuckleheads.

I ordered the chicken gyro. The food itself took about 20 minutes to come out after ordering in a seemingly empty restaurant, I thought this was incredibly excessive for such a simple item. Once I got the food, the first few bites were great. Until I hit the pocket of tzatziki hiding at the bottom. The second half of my gyro was not edible, completely drenched. Not fast at all, food could have been good but my personal experience was terrible.

I haven't even tasted the food and I love this place. I walked in the door and the owner greeted me with a big warm smile and hello. Very Greek! The menu is extensive and they even have fish imported from Greece. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Now that I have tasted the food it is great! Highly recommend.

The food was great and so was the service. The Greek salad was the best I've had. Super fresh veggies and feta cheese that made me feel I was in Greece. Their baklava cheesecake was also delicious. The gyro lamb platter was big enough for two to share :). The server gave as great advice as to the size of the plates and what wine to have. They seemed to be out of a few of the items in the menu, including the first desert we had picked (blessing in disguise considering how good the baklava cheesecake was). The ambiance is informal. Not a good date place but definitely a nice outing for a lm informal dinner with your significant other. Went there with a groupon and will definitely go back.

I peeped in a few weeks back considering I love me some Greek food. I had their gyro pita and my husband had their gyro platter. I'm not sure what they do to their fries but they are DELICIOUS! Ever since, I've had them deliver a couple times. Their lamb burger is out of this world-quality meat, creamy feta smothered on top...only thing is it normally comes a little overcooked and $21 for a burger including their delivery fee is a little steep so I'll only order when I want to splurge.

Amazing food. Great service. Had the grilled octopus and the fried smelt (little fish like in Spain). Also had the Queen of Sparta. Everything was awesome and very fresh. Highly recommended. Everyone in there speaks greek!

I absolutely looooove this place!!!! The menu is incredibly big, so many options to chiose from! The prices are reasonable and the service is great! I have been here twice already and I will definitely keep coming back. I have suggested it to so many of my friends and co-workers. The babaganoush is one of fhe bests i've had! The gyros, omg! We've tried both the chicken and the steak and they are delish!

Currently I can only give the place two stars but I'm willing to try it one more time and see if they get their act together after they've had some time to adjust. Ordered the gyro pita. Meat is good and is the pretty standard gyro meat you find all over. The pita was stale and the French fries were undercooked and cold. I knocked off another star due to staff. There was only a couple other tables the day I had lunch there, but the staff doesn't seem to be too interested in working. No one there was too friendly. At one point I looked up and out of 5 staff in the restaurant, one was cooking, one was eating his lunch in the kitchen in plain site of customers, and THREE were txting, one waiter was even standing in the middle of the dining area while txting. This place needs a manager who knows how to train staff. Let's see what the next visit brings.

I was looking for a Greek place to eat in the neighborhood and chose eat Greek only because they had parking (unlike the other Greek places). Thank god I did. This place is amazing. It is authentic Greek food with fun Greek music playing. The people are super nice and attentive. Had hummus and a Greek cheese appetizer with a salad and the butterfly shrimp. Everything was amazing. I'm definitely making this my go to place to eat out.

I love this new location we went Friday night and grabbed an outside table. We both ordered the chicken platter $14.99 and added a $4 Greek salad. So within 10 minutes our entrees were served. I The food it amazing the pita bread is to die for. The entrees are always huge I hardly finished half. This place is very authentic and if you are craving Greek this is definitely the place to go ! the prices are right, the quality is excellent, and the food tastes amazing !

Almost gave it 5 stars, will come again Good food, good service. My server was Greek, some items on the menu are not the typical greek food you see in most places that's a plus.

Ordered from their menu tonight for pickup. Two guys, who appeared to be the owners, were very friendly and greeted me when I walked in. I think that the there's nothing that indicates a business' appreciation more toward their customers than a nice warm greeting. After all, we're spending money there, and the appreciation makes one want to return and share the good experience with your friends! I ordered a lamb gyro, Greek fries, stuffed grape leaves and a Greek salad. I normally eat Mediterranean and Arabic food and there's definitely similarities in ingredients. The food was all delicious and very nicely paired with yogurt sauces (tzaziki?). There was a small error in the order, but the manager immediately called me, and offered to remedy the error with either a refund or a future credit. This is what customer service means. I will definitely return and be telling my co workers about them.

Amazing new addition to the Edgewater/Midtown area! Excellent Greek food in more of a quick serve setting. Not as fancy as Kouzina or Mandolin which are close neighbors, but this place make a nice lunch or dinner spot within budge. Portions are HUGE. They have quite a few healthy items. Service was good.not great. Overall the food was delicious. Definitely plan on coming here a lot.

Wow. I am very very pleased with this place. Ordered the chicken gyro pita and it was delicious, though the word itself is not enough to explain just how damn good that gyro was. When they say 10 minutes for pickup they mean it, which is something I like especially when your time constricted as I am. The restaurant itself is beautiful very relaxed and clean. The people greet you pretty fast and tend to you just as quick. Love this new place. Will order from eatgreek very very soon. Damn that gyro was damn good!

I'm big on customer service and Eat Greek really took care of me my first time there. They went above and beyond to get me what I need and also fix an order I was attempting to place from Grub Hub for pickup. They even gave me some dessert to try :-) It was super sweet -- almost too sweet for my tastes -- but still yummy. The falafel pita was good. I didn't know it came with fries or else I would have taken it home more quickly so they wouldn't get cold. There are a lot of vegetarian items on the menu though, so if you're a veggie head, you're in good hands. The inside of the restaurant has a little news stand that reminds me of home (New York) and the interior is nice. Great for a date or business meeting. I can't remember how long the food took but I don't think it was that long. Again, I was having issues with GrubHub so that added to the wait. And the owner/manager was cool too and personally came out to help! If you like Greek food, I think you'll like this place. Definitely more quality and authentic than some of the other local spots.

Have been here twice and both times food and service were great. Prices are good and it's fairly easy to find parking. The lamb gyro platter doesn't disappoint! Have tried the other Greek places in the area and though they are fancier I don't think the food is as good.

I've been to the south beach location many times. A real Greek restaurant! Super friendly service, food is fresh, fast, and delicious. I was at the biscayne location with a large group tonight. My lamb gyro was great everyone enjoyed their food. The baklava was killer. We even smashed some plates.

When down in Miami a place for lunch and dinner that is a must is Eat Greek . Attention to detail, great service and the best Greek Salad, rice and lamb gyro around. Not to mention the reasonable for downtown Miami prices.

  • Laura V.

Average and overpriced food. Lousy service. I understand the good reviews, because this place doesn't make suuuper bad mall food and looks nice actually, but the waiters are arrogant and slow. By the way: Adding a "service fee" to the bill and forcing customers to tip you is not cool. At least let them know, put a sign up or something. We (double) tipped them anyway, but my mom was really upset about their attitude.

Was really in the mood for some greek food and saw this place in the neighborhood get some pretty good reviews on yelp. Called in an order, it was ready in about a half an hour. The restaurant looks quite nice on the inside and everyone was very friendly and helpful inside. We will definitely be dining in sometime soon. The falafel are excellent! Great flavor and consistency, not mushy but not too dry. They were a great compliment to the order of tzatziki...which was enormous. You better have some plans for the left overs. Everything we ordered was a large portion. I also got a lamb gyro pita. The meat was amazing and there was a ton of it, these guys do not play around. My only knock on it is that there were fries on top instead of lettuce (but it did have onion and tomato). I knew it was coming this way and it wasn't bad...just a little more french fry that I was looking for on my gyro. Next time I will ask for lettuce and the fries on the side.

This place has the best service! The second we sat down they brought us water without us having to ask and refilled the entire time. They have us great recommendations and food came out fast. We went for lunch and had shared falafel appetizer, so good! Then shared chicken gyro platter with Greek salad. Amazing! Tons of food! We also had the chocolate walnut cake, which was like chocolate baklava - wow. Will definitely be back to try a gyro stuffed with fries! Yum

I heard nothing but great things about this place so when I saw it on Groupon I jumped on the offer. I was greeted promptly which is a big thing to me so off the bat I was happy. Our server helped us pick our dishes describing them all. He seemed to be very knowledgeable great points there. The food presentation needed a little work but the over all taste of my three bites were delicious... Here is where they lost all stars from me and why I will not be returning.... After my three bites the guy I had been watching on the grill make our order and many others walked outside the restaurant with his gloves and apron on... He stood outside for approx 3-4 minutes with his hands/ gloves on his hips.. I of course at this point put my fork down waiting to watch his next move. When I watched him walk back in to the kitchen area picking up some used glasses by the rim and take them to dish area then return to the grill to serve a plate for another customer with the same gloves on.. The restaurant is completely open... I then couldn't handle it any longer,I told my partner not to eat anymore and walked up to ask for the manager. I was informed that there was not a manager in the bldg so I began to explain what I saw while I am telling my story the same guy is tucking in his shirt and fixing his apron with the SAME GLOVES ON!!!! I think for some reason they believe the gloves are used for keeping their hands clean versus handling food safely. Highly disappointed in this place and hope to see a food inspector in this location asap.

Excellent! I had a light lunch at the Edgewater location. Lamb gyro pita and small Greek salad. Very impressed with the quality! Pita fresh and toasty, lamb gyro was juicy and hot; Greek salad was beautiful- made with fresh tomato, cucumber, green peppers, onions, capers and enough high quality feta to constitute a cheese plate. Highly recommended.

  • Britt A.

Not bad. Very average mall food court quality Greek food with a mismatched price tag. Too expensive for the quality and quantity of food. $5 for a small side of fries. Maybe 3 slices of cucumber in a side greek salad and 1/4 cup of brown rice came with my lamb gyro platter that costs $15. The customer service is good however. The staff is very friendly. I do not understand why they have a mini hot bar of food literally in the checkout line. Very unsanitary, but otherwise, I give this place a C+ If they lower their prices, or drastically increase their portions, then they would have something going for them.

  • Vincent T.

Food is excellent. However, the service was a bit lacking when were dining in the restaurant. However, to be fair, there were only 2 servers and it was a busy lunch -- should've had more people on the floor. Nevertheless, the portions are very generous and taste great. We'll definitely be back. In addition, great feature is that you can order online for delivery.

We got delivery. Just what we were looking for. Everything was great. The cold appetizers were delicious. The salad was filled with big ripe tomatoes, crispy cucumber, and tasty feta. Definitely on the "go to" list.

Well I would say the number one job of a place that delivers is to get your order right. If not right, at least close. I ordered a falafel wrap and a greek salad with no olives. Ok - no olives might be weird but I am allowed to not like them. I got a greek salad with olives (no big deal I can just take them out) and a lamb gyro. The thing that tops this off is that it wasn't an accident. I was told that they didn't have falafel so they sent this instead (they also sent a free baklava). I don't know most of you but I am sure all of you can figure out the problem here - I am not even going to spell it out. I called and spoke to the manager (who was very nice by the way) and he said sorry but they were just really busy. Great - but that means nothing to me. So poor value and too busy to get an order right (or even close) equates no more for me. When is Maoz coming over the bridge? Please hurry. The positive to all of this. My dogs got a little lamb with their food.

Total disappointment! I usually patron Eat Greek on Alton Rd in Miami Beach which by the way it is excellent. As usual, I ordered the grilled Octopus and the Warm Manouri Greek Cheese. Both dishes came out lukewarm, the octopus was chewy, cold and insipid. The Manouri cheese was room temperature, flaky and hard. This cheese is usually creamier and less salty than feta. As an entrée we ordered the Meat Pakilla-two of all the meat proteins-lamb chops, soulvlaki ,the delicious loukaniko-Greek pork sausage. The sausages were raw. Unacceptable! I immediately sent the sausages back to the kitchen. 10 minutes later the sausages were back on our table. Very tasteful! Exacerbating our demise, service was not even there, the waitress seemed lost and unapologetic. Not very inviting. I thought the quality of dishes would parallel their restaurant in the beach. Not happening. Think twice before dining at Eat Greek on Biscayne, take the causeway to the one on Alton Rd.

    I. Loved. This. Place. Authentic greek food. Fun, friendly staff. Amazing baklava. The atmosphere is fun and inviting. The portions are pretty big so make sure you're hungry when you go. *keep in mind that the Greek salad is authentic : i.e. no lettuce - don't be disappointed if your salad doesn't look like something you'd get a Ruby Tuesdays.

This place is so amazing! The food was delicious, the house wine was tasty, and they brought us a delicious feta dip appetizer. I will come here again and again, it's my new Greek spot! The butterfly shrimp was cooked to perfection, Greek fries were fantastic, and the Cretan salad was incredible. There's parking on the side of the building reserved especially for this place, which is awesome as well!

The skepasti with koto-bacon was delicious and nostalgic... seasoned and flavored just as they come in Greece. the babaganoush was tasty but too much mayonnaise in it, not so traditional. the baklava was ok, doesn't taste home-made. I love that they have mastiha water but $5.00 is pricey. The location is great and the ambiance/decor feels very Astoria Greek urban. I love it & will be back again.

The Falafel inside pita were overcooked. Lemon potatoes not as tasty as we expected. Chicken skewers plate was very nice. Hazelnut dessert is actually baklava with Nutella n go little case. Under my expectations for the price and marketing. There's room for improvement here.

I ordered delivery and it was GREAT! I found the menu to be quite confusing but the guy who answered the phone was really nice and took his time to explain everything. I got the lamb chops and they were fantastic, which is surprising, considering I had them delivered (and they're best eaten immediately off the grill). I got nervous when I realized I didn't tell the server how I wanted the lamb chops cooked but was really impressed when they arrived cooked medium-rare. The Greek salad is packed with goodness, but it could use a bit less Feta and peppers. The portions are also very generous... I ate two lamb chops, a cup full of rice and half of my salad and had plenty of left overs for the next day. My boyfriend got the Gyro and he loved it. The french fries were a bit soggy but it could be due to delivery. Nonetheless, I will absolutely be ordering from Eat Greek again!

Wonderful portions, fresh ingredients, friendly staff. A great addition to the neighborhood and filling a store front on Biscayne with quality food. When your order a dish with Feta they give you a more than generous portion! Would go back again.

I avoid this place like the plague, overated food and their service if awful. The last time I ordered a delivery, the manager told me that he had copied my number wrong therefore he didnt make the food, I found out about it an hour later, I ended up having to go in person and get my food (my fiance was craving greek). It was promising when it first opened, I rather go next door to Sabor a Peru. SKIP

They opened this location just a week ago. The food was amazing! Plus the portions are really big so you definitely get your money's worth. It feels very authentic here with the music and art. I had the gyro sandwich with the spinach rice and Greek salad will definitely come back!

Went there with my picky family, to leave there with everyone satisfied.besides the friendly service, the details of the food served was like going to a five star restaurant without the prices. Delicious! The spanakopita is amazing - flaky, warm, cooked to perfection - and the baklava cheesecake might be one of the best things I have ever ate. And of course, the staff is lovely and always very accommodating.

Ordered delivery from here twice: First time: Ordered chicken gyro pita and baba ganoush through eat24. The sandwich was solid enough. However, I called the restaurant because rather than baba ganoush, they gave me a side container of what seemed to be either mayonnaise or a weird variety of yogurt. Either way, it was completely white. They told me i must be mistaken, and perhaps I don't understand what baba ganoush is. I told them I'm quite certain of what it is; I'm half-greek, grew up eating it, and have ordered it from hundreds of different restaurants. They said oh ok, sorry about that. Second time: Placed the order on eat24. Ordered same thing as last time. Estimated delivery time was 45-60 minutes (i live just a few blocks away). An hour and 20 minutes later, my food wasn't here so I contacted eat24. They contacted Eat Greek and were told that the delivery guy was already out with the food and on his way, and should be here any minute. 35 minutes later, still no food. I call the restaurant directly. The manager tells me that the guy has left so i should have it any minute. I said, "Well does this mean I'm getting cold food?". He says, "Oh no, it won't be cold. I waited to make it, and he just left with it a couple minutes ago so it will be nice and hot". That's odd, I told him, because you told eat24 35 minutes ago that the delivery guy already left. The manager told me that no, the delivery guy just left. I inquired further why he would have then told something different to the delivery guy. The manager says, "because we're busy and can't deal with all these people calling". I said well you were already on phone. But instead of being honest you just lied? His response "Yeah I guess". Food arrives 20 minutes or so later, cold and soggy. The kicker: The baba ganoush, which I was certain last time was an mistaken side dish of mayonnaise, came again exactly as it was last time. So I guess that's really their baba ganoush. Safe to say there won't be a third time.

I was so excited to find that they were opening a new restaurant on Biscayne, after falling in love with their food at the Miami Beach location. I went tonight and the food was amazing as well as their service and warm hospitality. Easy parking is a plus and they also deliver. I will definitely be a regular with having this location closer to home

Came here after work with a friend who had never had Greek food before. Not only was our waiter very nice, pouring up free wine for us (and everyone- we realized we weren't special about 20minutes into it) he seemed very foreign and I'm not sure if he was teasing my friend for being so indecisive or maybe he didn't understand her English ;) regardless we split a few appetizers and will be back for more!! The spanakopita was to die for and we had an amazing grilled cheese plate... 3 appetizers and 1 dessert we were super full and happy!! I loved the chill atmosphere and relaxed vibe of the workers, everyone seems really nice and I will definitely be getting delivery for while I'm at work!

We purchased a groupon and decided to give this place another try, this time to dine in. We regret it. Service has declined big time since our last visit when they first open. I cannot understand the lack of interest these people put in making clients feel welcome in their restaurant. I tried a small glass of the house red wine (the only one they have) and It costed $7 (it was literally a small cup). I asked for a little bit of extra sauce to dip my fries and they charged $2.50 without even letting me know in advance. I wouldn't mind paying if the service was ok, but it wasn't. The waiters would not look at us or asked us if we were ok not even one time. We are not coming back here. For greek food in the area, try Kouzina at Midtown and you wont get disappointed.

Will never be back. I ordered a lamb burger and was very excited for it. They're charging $17 for it, so was expecting a great burger. I had it delivered to my home while I was working. It arrived and have never seen such a small burger. It came in a huge bun and was the size of a meatball that had been flattened. I called to tell them the burger size was outrageous and the manager hung up on me. I'd give it 0 stars, but that's not an option.

Went hoping for a new treat in the neighborhood but we're pretty disappointed.spinach pie was served barely heated, chicken gyro was poor quality. Schnitzel gyro was greasy and the service at best would be described as uninterested. Ordered Greek fries and never got them. Had to ask for them to be taken off the bill. If you want good Greek good .....go to The Greek Place in surfside. This is just not good

My wife and I originally set out to have lunch next door at the Mexican restaurant. When we saw the banner for this new Greek restaurant we decided to detour and all we can say is WOW!!! What a gem of little place. From the moment you walk in you feel like your in a small place in Greece. The staff is warm and welcoming and the first thing we noticed were the size of the portions..Huge and the way they were presented was beautiful. The decor is extremely quaint and there is even a small "store" in e back that sells all kinds of goodies from Greece. On each table is an authentic bottle of vinegar and shaker of salt from Greece. We split the Cretan Dako Salad. It was a huge plate filled with diced crushed tomatoes seasoned and served on top of Greek bread with kalamata olives, peperoncini with a delicious seasoning. On top of all that was THE most delicious feta we have ever had!!!! So much so I had to mention it to our waiter. He told us that they bring in certain products once a week directly from Greece and I must say that the quality of the food tastes it. We then split a chicken souvlaki sub sandwich that was just perfection. The chicken slices were moist served with onions, peppers and Greek cheese toasted on a light bread. The server ( whom we think was one of the owners) comped us a dessert of chocolate baklava which was also excellent. Not too sweet, just the right mix of cocoa, walnuts, honey and filo. All in all a must try and we will be returning for dinner as they also offer fresh fish flown in from Greece as well!

Sad.
