Food: Burgers are great considering price. Big fan of the chili but it's indeed salty. Stay away from mac and cheese (it's kraft brand). Overall good place. Staff has always been friendly or at least attentive. Most seats have good view of sports. Family friendly establishment. Fair pricing on drinks and food. Keep in mind: this place is CASH ONLY.

It's a Miami Locals bar! Great history, nice environment and really really great drinks. The food is hearty. Every night there's a dinner special, but bring cash...no credit cards accepted here. Haven't been to bad event here. And if they have clam chowder...order it! You won't regret it. Love it.

The food is okay the soup is salty always been salty , I have been going to this place since 1997 This place is in my neighborhood The prices are decent The staff is always pissed and looking at the floor , no eye contact with the customers at all so is hard to get their attention The bartender is always serious like pissed I wish they had better food not just bar food The owner is always around and very nice

Come with Cash! This is one of the old-time taverns that doesn't take credit cards! Somehow it works for them. I bet they could make more if they took plastic... But I digress This is a typical tavern or pub with typical food and drink. For the vegetarian, they do have a veggie burger. That's about it though. But when the mood strikes this is a place I think of for the burger fix. Even better, on Monday's they offer the $5.50 burger special. You really can't beat that. The fries are always hot and crisp too. They have a full bar and offer a good selection of beers on tap. The Happy Hour is great. Monday-Friday 3-6pm they have 2 for 1 specials. On top of that, for the late night owls; after 11pm they again offer 2 for 1. Now That makes cash only seem trivial.

So, we met up with friends and I was hoping they had Angry Orchard.... But they didn't so I ordered the house cider beer... At first sip I was like, hmm doe this taste old or sour? Then I kept drinking and said to myself, maybe you have a bad taste in your mouth, sooo i kept drinking and I was thinking I hope I don't get sick.. Then I asked my bf to try it and he confirmed that it tasted awful, so I asked for a rum and coke and fish dip to combat the nasty taste. Cute place, great prices, hoping they will add angry orchard to the menu, cause we live close and we would like to come back.

This is my version of the Cheers bar. The entire staff is great but some notables are def Stacey, Jeff, and George. I have been coming here for years and it's for a reason. Bring cash and a healthy liver.

It's okay, the food is like whatever. The only reason I keep coming here is because it's in the neighborhood. The owner is always around which is nice.

By far my favorite place to be. They make me feel like I am part of the family. Great family oriented place. Ice cold beers. Great bar food. Always has a special of the day. Overall awesome feeling when I am there. No other place in Miami has this feel. Try it!

Great local dive to hangout on St. Patrick's Day! A big tent is set up with outdoor bar and grill area, lots of tables and chairs, and a live band. If St. Patrick's day falls on a weekday and you don't know what to do, this is a great place to visit!

This place is f****** disgusting there was a f****** roach underneath my table, which was an automatic deal breaker for me, they don't take credit cards, the server was a f****** douchebag, I have never had such a bad experience anywhere else. This establishment has no class whatsoever, I'm glad I got up and left before I actually spent a f****** penny there and the server is lucky I didn't f****** stomp him into the ground. 0 stars......

The meals are great and are at a better price. In the running to be my new favorite spot to eat at. The bartenders and waiters are awesome to talk to. Everyday there is a special so no day is better than the other unless you have a favorite.

I was looking for a place to eat with a friend on Halloween and didn't want to get stuck in Miracle Mile traffic. I had tried the Duffy's in the Grove, had a great experience and thought this would be the same. The greeting as we walked in was quite uncomfortable as the only other patrons were a few older men sitting at the bar and they all stared at us like we were entering the men's bathroom. Maybe we walked into a boy's club meeting? Our server was very friendly and attentive which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. My friend and I weren't starving, so we figured we'd share a cheeseburger. What a letdown... the patty was the size of a fast food burger and the cheese wasn't even melted. We considered leaving to eat at a different restaurant. But in the spirit of not doubling on calories in one meal, we finished our tiny burger and asked for the check. Good thing my friend was carrying cash (I never do) because this location doesn't accept credit cards. What century are we in??

The bartender said hello, how are you, and made eye contact. I asked for ShockTop and he explained they also had a seasonal flavor and have me a sample. He made eye contact and sincerely thanked me for my tip. I'm having an out-of-Miami experience! Unfortunately this is unusual service for me in Miami. Besides that, i liked the look and feel of this sports bar and the people sitting at the bar were nice. I'll be back.

A laid-back local spot with some good food. Casual is understatement and they have some great daily specials that locals love. Friendly and attentive staff too.

    (3)
  • Martha C.

Let it be known - they do not accept credit or debit cards. No substitutions and less than friendly service. American joint; felt a bit uncomfortable. Food was mediocre. Drinks were alright and reasonably priced. Although the closest sports bar to my home, I will most likely never come back.

Little has changed at Duffy's since I first set foot here, many years ago. This is a dive bar that only takes cash. If you didn't read the "cash only" sign at the entrance, the conveniently located ATM right at the entrance door should raise some suspicions. At one point this tavern was the bar with the most beers on tap in Miami, and later it became a bar that served the largest selection of premium beers on tap. Today, they still have a large tap selection, but everything that comes out of it is just watery beer like Bud, Miller, Coors, etc, and oh! don't forget, PBR. Duffy's most memorable time definitely has to be St Patrick's day. This place gets packed not only with the weirdest people in Miami, but also the weirdest families in Miami. When the sun begins to set, all the college kids in Miami drive over and the crowds become more average looking. If you go to UM, or have any affiliation with the "U", you will be making a necessary stop. St Patrick's at Duffy's Tavern is a free for all and this holiday will not be a success if you didn't get a Duffy's T-shirt, a hat, a foot long glass or a good glimpse at the Magic City's endangered white trash crust. Only downside, the party ends before midnight because this is a neighborhood bar located in a residential area. Other than that, Duffy's Tavern is just a locals hangout, where lots of kids from UM get their drink on. The beer selection is large, but OK. There is Guinness on tap, but obviously it will never be served the right way, if not, this wouldn't be Duffy's. They have lots of TV screens, and all types of sports play here, even cricket. They also have lunch specials, some amazing, like the NY strip for $11 (comes with fries), and lots of beers are available by the pitcher. So, if you want to run into the sorority girl with the drinking problem, or the shady thirty something that still is working on his bachelor's degree, Duffy's the place. Or if you suddenly remembered about that baseball game, even cricket game, stop by because Duffy's most likely is showing it. And don't forget to have a burger, which is the house specialty. For good fun, cheap all around, Duffy's Tavern is the place to be.

Passing through town, my husband and I stopped for a few drinks. Good friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Tasty hot roast beef sandwiches.

  • Reid M.

I like the food and the atmosphere at Duffy's. I do not like their cash only policy. They have an ATM in the bar in case you don't know what their policy happens to be. This is the only place I have been too in a long time that was cash only. What is up with that? I checked my bank account today. I took out 40.00 and was charged a $2.50 fee AND a $2.00 fee. So it costs you over 10% to use that machine.( I told the machine I did not want my balance) If a business is concerned about the credit card card companies charging a fee, raise your prices. It doesn't take much imagination to ponder another reason why a business might want to have a cash only policy.I probably won't go back unless my wallet is full of cash.

I like the option of the veggie burger. Like that they have a choice of beers. Good little place to watch a game with good food and drinks and a laid back atmosphere with occassional obnoxious younger crowd. Quick service. Love the decor cool liquor and beer bottle chandeliers. Also you pay cash at this place or use the atm. Good size and good amount of televisions in this place. Adequate parking. Update: excellent service when they are being watched by their boss and awful service when they are not!!! Tried the salmon. It lacked flavor. Prefer veggie buyer over it.

Love this place! Ive been coming here for over 25 years and very little has changed. If you like spicy try the death dog. My favorite! I happen to also love the cole slaw and the chili . Beers are served in nice frosty mugs and very reasonably priced. Very nice selection! I definitely recommend Duffy's for everyone. Great place to watch a game

Best NY Strip I have had in MIA. Solid prices, ample TV'S. The quintessential MIA Sports Bar

    (5)
  • José A.

First time to this establishment and it was, overall, a good experience. The ambiance is laid back, relax, and comfortable. It's a sports bar without the outrageous noise you find at similar places. The beer selection was serviceable and the service was attentive if not overly chatty (which I have an affinity for). Anyway, the gripe I have is the food. The NY strip I had was way too salty for my taste. No amount of A1 helped. My wife's fried clams were over cooked, which I thought impossible to happen, until tonight. In the end, me and my party had fun, the service was good, and I won't mind trying the place one more time on the food.

  • Jav M.

there really isn't too much to dislike about this place. It's one of the old school remnants of the old Miami; the one without the flash and more about the venue. Is this place fancy? Not @ all Does this place have the best food? No, although it's pretty good and basic. If you're looking for a place to have a bite to eat Not break the bank Not leave a paper trail ( cash only ) Have a chill time Then you'll love this place. Chicken wings are good, jalapeno poppers are the best you'll have ( cheddar cheese not cream cheese ) Inexpensive beer Good soup And a really friendly staff. Don't judge this book by its cover... place is great and cozy ..

I'm a newbie here, but I get a good feeling about Duffy's. I detect a lot of history. Neat accoutrements on the walls and ceilings. Reminds me of my fav bar, Mikes at Venetia, but closer now that I live in the burbs. Good bar/comfort food.

Great place with lovely staff. We had a few drinks that were delivered instantly and refills without having to ask as soon as we were done. I also loved that it wasn't very loud so we could enjoy our conversations.

you know how sometimes you go to a place with high expectations and when you get there its just blah?? well this was it for me. I have so much to say idk where to begin..it was small, VERY small. The table was crooked, the server and about 60% of the staff just "chistik and poopers" (cheese sticks and jalapeno poppers) if you get what I mean..and thank baby Jesus I ate prior to going because if the rest of the food is as bad as the salsa that came with the chips I prob would have walked out... Highlight of the night- the server kept my mug full of yummy stella...and that...was that. I am a firm believer of second chances...so maybe a yr from now I will dare to go there again. WORD OF CAUTION: CASH ONLY!--- yes...seriously.

I went yesterday to duffys with a couple of friends for the 5 dollar Monday burger special the place reminds me of Flanigans but deff not as good lol the service was kind of slow the server was ok not too friendly though the burgers took FOREVER! when it got there the meat looked like frozen meat and the bacon wasn't Crunchy :/ it tasted old :( the cheese was still cold. I would've rather spent my $5 in Wendy's! Ewww I ate half of the burger my friends finished there's omg when I got home I had the worse stomach ache!! And so did two of my other friends I am still sick! I even threw up this morning it had to have been from that burger! Don't waste your time coming here on Monday the food is disgusting! NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN! :s

Manomanomanoman I love this place. It's a dingy little craphole, to be sure, but I love dingy little crapholes. Just grubby food served cheap. And good. What I remember most is the happy way they served me a steak the way I wanted it with NO concern for my health. Salt and pepper only, 15 seconds a side on the grill. Like beef gum. And lots of draft beer from rarely-cleaned lines to wash it down. And you have to watch a good 'Canes game there. OK, so it's New Years and I am feeling nostalgic, but I really miss this place.

  • Michelle B.

In the words of Randy Moss: "Straight cash homie!" And you know what? That's fine with me. I'll make it rain and hail (depending on the amount of coins my bill requires) any day as long as I get my 2 for 1 beers and Stimulus Mondays figh dolla burgers! If a food or drink item here could be paid the same as a 'dancer'...let's just say there's no way you're getting into the champagne room since everything at Duffy's is so inexpensive. So go to Duffy's and you'll at least be assured a tasty meal. I'm not sure how I went from a family friendly restaurant/bar to strippers, but yeah. Duffy's.

I've been coming here for YEARS with my family! It's small but just right! Monday nights is the best for $5 GIANT burgers and a side!! Recommend for a quick meal!

CASH ONLY! - The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars. We popped in for a quick bite on Saturday. Its very casual.. you come in and set up camp wherever you like. The servers were all very attentive and various people will ask you if you're doing OK while you're eating. I just had a cheeseburger with potato salad.. it was great. Hit the spot. Washed it down with a beer (which was on sale at the time) The place was pretty full when we got there, a soccer game was on so there were many people shouting and cheering. There is a mini-arcade on the left room in the back where there were at least 10 little boys in a frenzy. It was cute. The bar has a cool, Keys feel, to it. I lost count of how many old bottles were hanging overhead. The walls covered in picture frames. I was sitting with my back to the large TV so I looked around at all of the wall entertainment. All in all i is a cool place to come in and grab a beer and a burger. They have some awesome specials during the week that we may check out in the future. **This is my 200th Review**

Such of fan of Mondays at Duffy's. $5 burgers, any burger however you want it, plus drink specials for beers. Loved my bartender, and the owner is wearing pajama pants. YES!!! Take cash, but in case you forget they have an ATM. Have to go there again.

  • Agatha C.

I'm a huge fan of this bar! The service, the food, and prices are great! Honestly the only reason I knocked a star off is because well you can only pay cash and the ATM kind of sucks there. Just remember when you come to bring cash, and you don't have to bring a lot! The prices are great and they have good beer special for Heat games. Have been becoming a regular here and I love it! Will come back soon for the NBA Finals! Great crowd.

  • Natasha M.

Didn't try any of the food here, only came to drink during the 11pm-1am happy hour. The drinks are two for one, and they have nice selection of beers to choose from. It was a Friday night and it wasn't crazy packed, just people hanging out around the bar watching sport highlights on the tv's. If you love everything about beer , then you will feel like you are in beer heaven. There are all kinds of beer bottles hanging from the roof as if they were angels falling from the sky, it's beautiful. Did I mention the 2 for 1 happy hour is EVERY NIGHT? Definitely coming back.

  • Philip B.

Went here for the first time last night to watch some golf and the end of the Heat game since I was in the area. This place gives a new name to places with stuff on their walls, as I don't even think there's one inch of this place that isn't covered by something. I think it actually adds something to the tavern as you can tell it's been around for quite some time. Now, we ordered the Zucchini sticks which were fried and came with "spicy" mustard sauce, which I would swear was just regular yellow mustard. The actual Zucchini was pretty darn good, though. Then, I ordered the Hickory Burger which came with BBQ sauce with your choice of cheese (Cheddar for me). The burger was cooked fine but this thing was an unholy mess. The bottom bun was way too soggy so I took it off, which was probably for the better. The reason I would come back to this place, however, are the drink specials. They are non-stop and for the price, there is no better in the area. The waiters and bartenders are all very nice and friendly people and always take a second to talk to you and get to know you, which is rare down here. So, in a nutshell, I'll go back for the service and drink specials. The food, while okay, is nothing to get excited over.

A great bar. Stacy the server was amazing and super attentive. We saw the owner Wayne a lot too and they even hooked us up with a round of beers for being military guys. Food and prices were great - I had a big grouper sandwich and fries. It's a great atmosphere and the service just made it all 5 star. The only thing that was a drag is that I searched this place out looking for a bar where I could catch the Packer game. The Miami game was on too, so we had competition. They put the game and volume on a couple corner TVs, but even at full volume we couldn't hear it at all. It would have been better if somewhere we could have had one big TV with adequate volume. For the next Packer game I might keep looking, but I'd go back to Duffy's and spend my money there any other time.

My first visit to Duffy's came as part of a birthday celebration for my cousin. We were a pretty big group but that did not deter the staff from providing us with excellent service. The birthday girl's dinner was on the house and they really went out of their way to make her feel as special as she is. We ordered plenty of beer and appetizers like chiken wings and mozzerella sticks. I ordered the bacon burger with homemade chips that had parmesan cheese sprinkled over them. Overall, the food was delicious, the service was excellent, the price was just right and we all had a fantastic time so I think another visit is in order. My biggest and only complaint is that they are cash only. That's right...NO CREDIT CARDS accepted. This can obviously be a hassle for those of us who do not regularly carry cash but despite this minor annoyance, Duffy's is still a winner in my book and I would definitely recommend for others to give it a go sometime.

Cash only, great service, amazing burgers, awesome fish sandwich, great beer, fair prices...let's not over think this. If you are hungry or thirsty, get over there.

I absolutely love this bar! Traditional dive slot in every positive way. Beers are cheap and a varied selection. Food is great and pretty cheap also. Yes, cash only but just a minor details. Every time I go the bartenders have been more than friendly with me and my friends. Always feel comfortable there. Decorations are cool too - Ceiling is covered with empty beer bottles and bathrooms have license plates on the walls. Couldn't recommend a cooler place to chill on a tight budget!

  • Mario R.

This is the very first bar that I've been to that does not accept any credit cards. What?? They do know that we are in the 21st century right?? The food was terrible, the bartender unaccomodating, the server didn't really want to be there, and did I mention that they don't accept credit cards??

A true neighborhood bar; cozy and small. I've been coming to Duffys since I was a young kid. The atmosphere is family friendly and we love the way its decorated. An array of different beers- most youve never heard of hang from the ceiling. The bathroom walls are filled with the locals liscence plates. The food is delicous and ESPECIALLY for the price! I highly reccomend you try the buffalo bites with blue cheese (and i dont even like blue cheese), cup of chilli and fried fish sandwiches. Cheapest beers with frozen mugs. Always great service.

I'm the aforementioned boyfriend who was kicked out for politely asking for an explanation of my check. But let me assure you, I won't miss this dump. The food really sucks, they don't take credit cards, they do charge a high ATM fee, and the owner -- and his disgusting wife, too -- is a total bottom feeder. White-haired, drunk McDuffy is an inferior, wee little man. I'm sure it's why he's so mean and unreasonable. It's his only way to get back at nature. Anyway, if you want to be forced to get up from your seat, in the middle of your sandwich, to go to an ATM to pay a $3 fee, so you can pay your check early for no logical reason, just so you can continue this process after every item you order, when nobody else in the restaurant has to do this, just to be told "get the fuck out of here," when you say "okay, I'll pay now, but can you explain this to me?" -- then go to Duffy's. Happy St. Patrick's Day, Duffy, you tiny, drunk disgrace.

Great Half-and-half pint, and unique bar menu.....look for the Devil dog, an unusual hot sauce that tops a hot dog....whew....ask for water... This place is awesome...but don't expect to pay with a card...cash only.

What else can you say about Duffy's. Near UM, lots of TVs, friendly staff, atmosphere up the wazoo, kind of place where everybody knows your name. Fish sandwich one of the most expensive items on the menu at $10, but well worth it. Monday and Tuesday "incentive specials". Only thing, it's cash only, but ATM on premises. Seems like it's been there forever, and sure hope it will stay that way.

Duffy's is great! My great uncle (85 years old) used to go here back when he was younger and working customs at the airport in the late 50's. he hasn't been back in 18 years and we walk in and he knows people working and visiting there! warm and welcoming atmosphere. Great burgers, i had the cajun burger which was perfectly cooked and served with there own cajun bbq sauce. Also they have "pork wings" which are out of this works. Slow cooked pork fried and covered in bbq sauce (homemade)

Oh boy, this is one of those places that you wish you owned. Great drinks, great burgers (they're known for these) and great service. Lot's of regulars go here as they knew everyone's name. Highly recommended. Cash only, but they have an ATM

My only qualm about this place is it's a HUGE CANE hangout- and I am a GATOR ;) that being said, long before I made the decision to go orange and blue, i too, cheered along the U in Miami's own personal "Cheers" bar. No bullshit, no fluffiness. No Ladies Night. No problem. Burgers- delicious, off the grill- perfect in the basket with the crispy, salty fries, and the warm, fluffy bun. it is REAL burger. Huge- perfect compliment to the beer- frosty, frothy beer- which is always on special. Try the Blueberry Ale- at least once! and the ketchup! I dont know what they do to the ketchup-but it has a very distinctive taste, love smothering my fries in it ( and Im normally more of "puddle of ketchup on the side" type of gal) The chicken wings ( or drumettes) are also delicious- they hardly ever last whenever we order them before the burgers to hold us over- piping hot, seasoned, and meaty. The owner always makes it a point to say hello, and the service is friendly- definitely a spot that is known and loved by true Miamians!

I started going to Duffy's as a kid. I'd walk over with my dad for lunch or dinner. Twenty-some years later, it's still the perfect place to meet up with friends and family for food and/or a drink. They have plenty of tv's, and they carry all major sporting events. They have daily beer specials and a decent selection of beer. They have better than average bar food, and a great fish sandwich (blackened or fried, you can't go wrong). The jukebox plays good music and the service is quick and friendly. On NFL Sundays, there's no better place to be. If you're a fan of an out of town team, get there a little early and ask for your game (first come, first serve). They don't take credit cards, but they do have an ATM on site. If I could improve one thing, it would be to add some craft beers to the drink menu. My daughter's not born yet, but she already has her Duffy's t-shirt. (Thanks, Wayne!).

My husband has a strange obsession with this place for whatever reason. If he was to rate it, he'd probably give it a 5 star rating. Maybe it's the whole "hideaway with the boys for a beer and fish sandwich" kind of feel he gets, who knows (I don't get men anyways). Anyhow, I decided to crash this trademark boys hideaway to see what the big fuss is all about - plus there's nothing better than tainting my husband's illusion of "this is my special place with my homies." BWUHAHAHAH :) Sorry, back to the review. Upon entering, it's a typical irish dive bar with lots of green everywhere. The decor is cozy, with tons of beer bottles and sports banners styling the roof and walls and TVs hanging showing your favorite sports team (and the Marlins). Booths and high tops are the majority of the tables you'll see, and there's a fun little bar in the middle. On to the drinks, hubby had a beer and I had a vodka soda - simple and good. Limes are juicy, not dry like typical bar limes (yes people, this is important to me). We ordered the breaded chicken wings with blue cheese on the side. Now I'm a wing person, frequenting sports grills and flanigans due to my obsession, so I was impressed with the yumminess of these wings! Very fatty, don't get me wrong, but so good with the creamy blue cheese. On to the food, I ordered chili cheese fries (a well rounded meal, lol) and hubby is obsessed with the fried dolphin sandwich so that's what he gets every time. The cheese fries were good, but I could have done without the chili as it was a little bit watery and made the fries soggy. BOO - not happy with that since I was sooo loooking forward to the fried deliciousness... My hubby's fish sandwich was pretty tasty, comes with tartar sauce and fries and it was pretty good. Large piece of fish, too - they weren't stingy and I like that. Service here is pretty good too, and you see the owner checking in on you now and then - nice touch. Birthdays are pretty funny here too as the owner puts a song on the loud speaker and muffles something about being a knucklehead over the speaker to the birthday boy. Overall, a three star rating. Nothing spectacular, but hits the spot when you're in the mood for a casual sports bar. NOTE: They only take cash as payment but there is an ATM on side. Prices are moderate. I believe they have a late-night happy hour as well..

I never really thought much of this place even though I live super close and I've been here a handful of times. The atmosphere is pretty generic for a dive bar. Nothing that really stands out... BUT 2 for 1 happy hour specials every night is RIDICULOUS! I'm a big fan of Sam Adams Octoberfest and I had about 6 beers for $12 (I'm a big beer fan and I drink a lot). You just can't beat it for the price. The food is typical bar food so don't go expecting a gourmet meal. Honestly, it's a great place to go if you're not wanting to drink at home but not looking for a crazy night either....

Great small sports bar in Coral Gables. Best part is that they have two happy hours, the second of which being from 11PM-1AM (Closing). During the happy hour they have two for one on any draft beers which is excellent. The decor is like an alcoholic TGIFridays, they have a bunch of bottles on the ceiling and a bunch of other cool stuff hanging around to look at. They have some video games in a side room also. The bathroom was pretty cool and wall to wall license plates. This place is worth checking out for sure.

This place is pretty awesome. Everyone here knows us after second time. When we come in they know I drink Guinness and my boyfriend drinks blue moon. Its a chill vibe, kind of a hidden(yet known)gem. We went to ale house during the fsu vs um game, an hour wait. Seriously! We went to duffys and got a great table. It was packed but there is always that little extra spot.. Plus their burgers are the shit. Bad part is they close pretty early at 1 am but it's in borderline gables/west Miami area... Also 2 for 1 all drinks after 11! Be warned it's cash only

Some of the best burgers in town. Try them out on Mondays when all burgers with fries are $5. Great customer service, food is out quick, good prices but cash only(atm on site). 2 for 1 happy hour weekdays and for those, like myself, who work late there is late night happy hour 11pm to close. Been coming here for over ten years and counting.

Duffy's has been here for eons. I always drive by but have never stopped. My friends got me to go on a Monday for the $5 burger. I was hooked. Really nice place. It has lots of character, there are some may decorations, every time I go I see something new. They have a beer can and bottle collection up around the entire restaurant. Must be hundreds of them. They have a bunch of TV's all around playing sport and shows. As I mentioned on Monday's you can have any burger on the menu for $5, yes 5 bucks. Even with cheese if you want. The also have a great buffalo boneless wings appetizer with a great blue cheese. I'm not a fan of blue cheese, but this one is so good you can almost have it alone. I tell my friends you can almost drink it. It nice and chunky. Last but not least. They have a beer special. $2 pints or $8 pitchers. It usually two different beers and it changes. Oh one more thing, this place is CASH only. They have an ATM on site.

Love this local little joint for a quick and inexpensive eat to bite....bite to eat. I am actually going back tonight! Service is always good , food is always good albeit simple, and always comes out promptly. Draft specials are always a good thing. Lately they have had their Duffy Ale on special for $2 and it's actually pretty good! Recommendations for when you go: Split Pea soup Tomato soup Roast beef sandwich (all 3 items above are specials and not always available. Expect to find them at least once a week though) Duffy's Chili Any of the burgers Sliders death dog Club Sandwich I wish they had more desserts available, but a beer can always count as dessert in my book ;o) ***forgot to mention that EVERY night after 11PM = 2 for 1 beers and wine and 1/2 off hard liquor drinks!***

The only reason I go to Duffy's is because it is REALLY close to my current house. I think it used to have a better feel 2-3+ years ago. The last time I went was about a week ago, the waiters were terrible. Example: My waiter was chatting with another waiter by the booth in front of me. I gestured that I was ready to order he looked at me and motioned. About three minutes passed by and I gesture again. Another three minutes later and nothing. I had to say something in a louder than usual manner for him to snap out of it. It was like this the whole night. As for the food, it's decent bar food. I like the fried clams but the portions as SO small that the container sometimes looks bare. You can see the bottom of the container. The burgers are pretty good but nothing out of this world. I like the fries but they are sometimes too seasoned. I always forget that this place is CASH ONLY. They do have an ATM, but it's just a hassle. In general I've had an okay time at Duffy's, but if it wasn't because it was really close by I honestly wouldn't consider it. The last time I went I really disliked the service, which led to my 2-star rating, otherwise it would be a 3-star.

Great place! I loved it. I wasn't sure about the place but the food is great and very well priced. The drinks as well, not to mention the dollar beer. I am not a beer drinker but it wasn't bad at all. I hope to visit Duffy's again soon. I really like it.

I swear I had not been to Duffy's Tavern in over 15 years and when I walked in the place it looks like it has not changed much at all. They still have great hamburgers and the fish dip was pretty good also, the portion was small and it only came with crackers. They have over 20 beers on tap, but no bottled beer. They have liquor, not a large selection, but just fine for a tavern. Lots of TVs to catch games on and it seems to be a kid friendly place. I look off one star for the bartenders who were not very friendly and the fact that they only take cash. They do have a ATM which you can get get money from at a price, so they must get a cut of that also. This is the 21st century though so Duffy's please get into modern life!

Yay its Monday! Came back again for the 4th consecutive Monday! The best thing about Mondays is $5 burgers. Thanks Duffy, after a long Monday workday for you to offer this deal. The burgers are big and tasty and the buffalo chicken nuggets are really good. My friend loves the blue cheese dressing and drinks it out of the little cup. You still need to work on the fries, not the quality but the quantity. But they always get up a new basket. Yummy! The waiters here are really nice!

One of the best burgers in Miami. Great beer selection. Skip the frys and go for the onion rings. Don't order anything else.

I love Duffy's. This is the type of place where you can come hang out and be at peace when you're just not having a great day or do not feel at your best. Duffy's has a cozy, relaxing, warm atmosphere. The staff, though only 1 guy speaks english, is friendly and the service is quick. At most places in Miami, servers will avoid servicing you for making them speak english. Not at Duffy's though, the servers here put forth a good effort to speak english and they are on top of your service needs. There's a $2 beer of the day, everyday. There's also 2 for 1 drinks from 4pm to 5pm and also from 11pm till 1am everyday. The food, although your typical bar food (burgers, wings, etc...), is good, tasty, and very affordable. I tend to visit Duffy's everytime I'm near it. I would visit it a lot more if I lived in the area.

Cheapest beer in the Gables ($2.50 daily pint specials) and decent burgers and bar food. Dependable, but nothing extraordinary. Most of the bartenders are grumpy old men. They should hire a few hot babes.

This place is close enough to my house that I can walk to it. For that reason alone, I'm a big fan. Duffy's is a perfect little watering hole if you're looking to have a drink with friends (or alone), grab a simple bite to eat. It's good for watching the games as they have several tv's around the bar, and even a few larger flat screens. They have a full liquor bar in addition to numerous beers on tap and in bottles. If you are a Guinness fan like me...don't worry -- they have Guinness. Yay! Since they serve food, there is no smoking permitted inside. But there's plenty of company outside the front door at any given time. Heavy smokers or anti-authoritarians might be more comfortable up the street at the Seven Seas Lounge. They have a full bar but no food, so no restrictions on lighting up there. Though the atmosphere there is quite different. But that's a whole 'nother review. If you live or work around the Gables or near Red Road and Coral Way, give Duffy's a try for some no-nonsense drinking and eating.

This place won't disappoint. Yes, it's cash only, but most pleasurable things are. They have specials almost everyday of the week. Stimlus Mondays brings you $5 burgers with a delish side, followed by Stimulus Tuesdays, featuring $10 NY Strip or rack of ribs. For those with kiddies, they eat free on Wednesdays. And drink specials almost everyday too. Can't go wrong with Duffy's. Great atmosphere for all.

Do you guys have any idea how good and cool this place is? Monday: Burger night!!! ANY BURGER with any choice you choose: 5 bucks. 11 to 1 happy hourt every day!! You cant beat that. Everybody is ultra friendly: they know what i drink every day and well... is kind of a second home every day. We sure need more places like this one. Kudos to Wayne ("The Pain!!; as he calls himself), Alvarito (the best EVER), "Ricky Martin", Bill (he loves my dog Divo!!!) and the cook, keep on going!!!

Went there last night to watch the NBA finals with a bunch of people. We had a good server. He was able to handle 8 of us without panicking. I tried a bunch of my old favorites like the Mexicali Burger, and they were still pretty awesome, but I also tried the wings for the first time and the fried zucchini. Pretty damn good. Duffy's overall is like a bar done right: they have cold draught beer in frosted mugs, they have good specials on beer, they have great bar food, great hot dogs, and great hamburgers. Really a perfect place to watch a game, but I wouldn't recommend it if your goal is to have a quiet dinner with your family or drown your sorrows at the bar in a quiet atmosphere. My point: it's rarely quiet and can get PACKED at times.

I love this place. The staff is really cool, the food is great (considering it's a sports bar), and the environment is great. There are large and moderate sized televisions throughout so you'll never have a hard time watching the game. Fun for big or smaller games. Very affordable drink specials- especially later. Only warning- cash only.
