Calling this a "french" bakery means A) you have never been to France (not that this is a big deal); B) You know what a quality bakery is all about; c) You don't understand that image means nothing when it comes to baking. Do not order the ham and cheese croissant unless you are pining for elementary school glop glue and tasteless meat in a "flaky" crust that feels like plastic shard when you are alternately gumming and crunching your way through the thing. A true croissant is at the same time light and airy and flaky and buttery. When the server jams the crosissants in a bag and crushes them you loose the essence of the baked piece. Stay away from this faux pas.

The chocolate almond crossaints met the hype and the chocolate mousse cake was really good. The creme brulee was delicious, so smooth and creamy, oh man. Id definitely go back for those items. Take some crossaints home and make your own breakfast sandwiches. The bread pudding was moist but severely lacking flavor, it was very similar to the one at publix's bakery. The regular chocolate crossaint had very little chocolate. There was a fly in the pastry case, i guess it adds to the authenticity of this place because the french dont have a rep for being the cleanliest folk. If i lived near hear i would definitely frequent this place for pastries and bread.

Loved the almond croissant, and the almond chocolate; the turkey sandwich was good. The almond croissant(and almond chocolate) may be the best croissants i have ever had. Price of 2.50 Per croissant is kinda high, but they cater to a crowd that doesnt seem to mind. Where are the macarons? I always walk in at busy times so customer service is not top notch; Some of their deserts are priced quite high but everything I have tasted is better than average

I drive by it every day to work. One day I stopped by and was so happy I did. The staff is friendly and the goodies oh my. LOVE it!! I highly recommend this place!!

The absolute best croissants you can get in Miami..and quite possibly Florida. Holy shit.... they're buttery, crisp, light with just the right amount of chewiness. The chocolate ones are awesome too! The only place I've had croissants of the same caliber has been Montreal. I don't know how they do it but hope they keep on doin' it! Their cakes are pretty fab for that special occasion also.

  • Ivonne G.

Great little place.. But almost too small. There was not much space inside and the staff was aloof and not very friendly. However the croissants were out of this world. I have to agree with my homie Faby on this one.. Guava croissant was out of control. Definitely will hit up this place on a non busy day during the week again.

This place can do no wrong...from the fresh squeezed orange juice, to their espresso...from the raspberry cookies, to their croissants (ANY OF THEM) and brioche - everything is always fresh and delicious. The croissants are the perfect balance of moist and flakey! Lemme put it this way, I once went there with a terrible hangover at around 9am...got their orange juice, a plain croissant, and some raspberry cookies. In my less-than-alive state, I could only eat half of the croissant and then proceeded to take a nap. Upon reviving again around 3pm, I immediately thought of the other half of my croissant, but was nervous that it had since become tough and less than amazing. To my surprise, it was like the hangover gods were on my side...but really, I think that the croissants are magic...and it was JUST as good as when I first bought it. Well done Delices de France. Hangover Approved.

If you understand and can appreciate French culture, you will undoubtedly enjoy the delicacies prepared here for your tasteful enjoyment (unlike Sasha, who may not understand that customer service can always be better everywhere). You just cannot beat these delights, sorry nowhere, well maybe - yeah oversees! Well, somehow this establishment is doing something right, and that is why you usually have many folks waiting to be served, it is well worth it - just ask the hundreds (if not thousands) of repeat customers.

This place is wonderful. I love their pastries, their breads, and especially their chocolate mousse cakes. But it is a tiny place, so plan on taking your goodies home to enjoy.

I usually stop into Delices de France on Saturdays when I know I want some delicious pastries for Sunday morning. You can get fresh croissants, danish, and other assorted sugary goodness. They also have a selection of sandwiches.

Almost perfect, but sometimes they just can't keep up and mess up. I love the sweet and MOST especially the ham and cheese croissant. :D I'm still trying to find one as good as Epcot "France" lol, but this is as close as I have yet to find. The problem is that it is hard during rush times to get your order, people are cramped in the small location and can get pissy. They can't keep track with all the people and forget what you said you wanted and if you have a request be prepared to double check they remembered. Also a few times they burnt their tarts. They are normally fabulous, but once or twice they were burnt and hard on the bottom. The kind of hard that will chip your teeth. I couldn't take a bite so I only ate the fruit on the top. I've had better tarts to say the least, but they do taste good when they are done right. I also like the meat empanadas, the chocolate and almond croissants and have yet to try their creme brulee or other cute treats.

Delices de France is a hidden gem close to Pinecrest. The French bakery is open early for those who want their coffee and baked goods in the morning. Prices are a little more expensive than your regular grocery store prices, but if you want to splash out a bit more on quality and taste then this place is right for you. I usually get the almond croissant, which is never too sweet. They have mini sized ones. The croissant sandwiches are excellent. The ham and cheese are baked inside the croissant giving the french baked treat a more succulent flavor. They also serve French inspired sandwiches though I don't think it's their strongest suit. Their breads and desserts will not disappoint anyone. If you're a first timer go for their creme brulee, croissant variations or their breads. If you feel like a bit more daring try their cakes and sandwiches. Summary: Excellent service. Atmosphere is good. Their food is amazing, though it reflects a bit on their price. Worth every penny. I'd advise those who have never gone to go in early, because once they run out of any of their baked items in the early after noon they will have to wait until the next day.

the almond croissants are divine! I used to go in every Saturday morning when my then-fiance lived nearby.

I came here Sunday early in the morning (9 AM) and there's already a line out of the door. But it moves fast, and the bakery itself is yummy and affordable. I had the panomelette ($2.99, egg inside bread - add $1 extra for cheese) - good. Small cheese bread ($0.85) - eh, but it's real cheese. Just not a fan of it as much. Almond croissant ($2.50) - delishhhh! Fruit tart ($4.25) - again, delishhhh! Fresh squeezed orange juice ($3.25) - thank you for remembering that you're in Florida! Friendly and very helpful service. But you may have to ask them to warm up some things.

I keep meeting people who live in Miami and have never been to Delices de France, also known as The Greatest French Bakery South of Kendall Drive. EVERYTHING they offer is fresh and delicious. Their tuna salad sandwich is amazing; expect your mind blown if you have it on a croissant. Speaking of croissants, as others have said, the almond croissants are fantastic. Don't get me started with their quiches. They have an awesome tomato quiche and an even more awesome spinach quiche. Ask them to warm it up for you. They also have fresh-squeezed orange juice! If you like desserts, they make a yummy crème brûlée. (Yes, I Googled the spelling.) Their chocolate mousse cake--which they have in both mini and regular sizes--feels like you're biting into a cloud. A chocolate cloud. It's the perfect "cute little place" to take out-of-towners, e.g. my grandma, who fell in love with it. (You know anything Grandma Certified is phenomenal.) The place itself is pretty small, so finding somewhere to sit isn't easy, but usually (if you're with other people) you can scout for a table while waiting in line and then send someone to claim a table as soon as it frees up. If you really can't find a place to sit and the weather isn't scorchingly unbearable, Coral Reef Park is a two minute drive away. And there are few things in life as satisfying as sitting in the park enjoying nom noms from Delices de France.

Love this place. Go for their ham and cheese croissants and quiches. Ham and cheese croissants are delicious heated in the microwave the next day. Their cakes are also really good. Only problem may be the price, but I'm willing to splurge for these mouth watering pastries.

Want something to do on a Saturday morning? Check out French Bakery. Great place to stop by for freshly baked croissants and eclairs. They are busy on Saturday mornings, so be a little patient. Its a small bakery with a big, local crowd. They have outdoor seating which is nicer than eating inside when its crowded. I've heard fantastic things about their chocolate mouse cakes, but I have yet to try it.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place!! This is by far and I mean far the most amazing croissant bakery ever!!!! My favorite are the mini almond croissants but the almond and chocolate are also amazing. The ham and cheese is really yummy too. I'm glad I don't live anywhere near this place because it would be terrible for my diet but anytime I take my car for service I do make it a point to stop by and pick up some goodies. YUMMY!! I just made myself hungry!

  • Aris F.

Delices de France beats most pastry shops in Miami and greater South Florida in the attention to detail they pay in the preparation and display of all their pastries. The display cases are immaculate. The pastries are all perfectly constructed -- no sloppiness in the kitchen is tolerated! The shop is clean and bright. The almond croissants are very tasty, but, as with too many french pastry shops here in the US, they are a bit too bready rather than flaky. I also wish they offered a wider variety of mousse cakes -- some that didn't have chocolate. Still, definitely worth a visit if you love pastries.

  • Caitlin C.

Best croissants I've ever had in Miami...anything from chocolate to almond, it's all good. Crisp, fresh-baked, and delicious. They also have fresh-squeezed orange juice and a variety of gorgeous-looking pastries. If nothing else, the long line for breakfast should tell you all you need to know.

  • Art P.

Best bakery in town, french or otherwise

    (5)
  • Elle M.

Best French bakery in Miami. Their croissants are TO DIE FOR! I usually only get a croissant when I go but this morning I went all out and my bf and I got croissants, almond chocolate croissants, a turkey sandwich, a turkey and cheese croissant, and quiche - all amazing (though the quiche was slightly salty, but still not bad)!!!! Their key lime tarts and mini chocolate cakes are also very good. The one flaw I found was that their brioche is OKAYY, not bad but I wouldn't recommend them for their brioche. But I am more of a croissant person anyways. Do not let the long line intimidate you, it moves very fast. The staff aren't the world's greatest but they are nice.

This bakery is exactly what every French bakery should be. Really. They had me at bon jour.

  • Juan G.

Great pastries. Wish I could say the same for the employees. Perhaps it's a reflection of their management- lead by example. Hands down THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE anywhere. The first time I experienced it, I gave them the benefit of the doubt as bad days go, but when it happens every time thereafter, it's their style. Apparently, they treat everyone like that as I watched how they treated the customers in front of me that way as well. It doesn't matter how great your product is, unpleasant and rude customer service always leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

  • Jennisa P.

Best Stuffed croissant EVA! Enough said! Fast service even though the store front was packed out the door. So don't be discouraged!

    (4)
  • Martha G.

They have good desserts and bread. Their customer service is not good at all. They believe that they are in Paris. They are rude and politeness is not part of their business' practices. I will never go back just because of their bad customer service.

  • Carolina M.

This is one of the places I tried thanks to Yelp...I always come here to check for new places...Thanks!!! I haven't had the chance to try everything, becasue I might not fit through any door if I do. For brunch I had a sandwich with an omelette inside (forgot the name), for lunch a sandwich and for dessert...my favorite....the almond corissant!!! The best I've had. Actually, all the croissants are spectacular. I also tried the almond cookies and an eclair...not a bad thing here!!! For a neighbourhood french bakery, this is a great place. On weekends, make sure you go early, becasue it is usually packed. It only has 3 tables outside...the place is a tiny place in a strip mall...a hidden gem

  • Zoraya D.

I've died and gone to boulangerie-patisserie heaven. Everything here is amazing - the croissants, the sandwiches, the creme brulee. Get there early, the almond croissants always sell out by early afternoon! Oh, and the staff is not rude - brisk, maybe, but always polite.

  • Ali C.

located in a strip mall right off of us1. this bakery has all sorts of pastries and bread, as well as desserts to satisfy that sweet tooth. considering I don't have a sweet tooth, I'm in here once in a blue.

  • Vicky P.

Stopped by before work to grab some breakfast pastries for my employees and the lady at the register wasn't so pleasant...I kind of felt rushed..... like as if she didn't want to be there. It's happened a few times before and it just makes me want to say: "What the hell is your problem lady!?!" but then I give her the benefit of the doubt and tell myself maybe shes having a really bad day =\ ....still.....that doesn't mean she should take it out on the customers.

  • Judy D.

I'm editing this review because it seems that Delices is coasting on its past excellence. I picked up some assorted pastries as we were having company for dessert and coffee. Much to my chagrin, the Key lime tarts seemed way past their prime and another filled pastry was dry. It was a tad embarrassing because I was unaware until I'd already served these items to our friends. To be fair, I had sipped a nice latte and had eaten a good chocolate chip cookie while waiting for my turn to order. However, now I'm a bit wary and will stick to the chocolate mousse desserts which have never failed me.

C'est Magnifique! ... aka.... Woot Woot! French deliciousness tucked away in a little strip mall off US-1 and SW 144th St... who woulda thunk it? Don't let the location fool ya, this is the real deal. Everything here is absolutely wonderful. Ham & cheese, almond, and chocolate/almond croissants are great!!! Their coffee is also good. The cheese danishes and french bread are also great. Overall, it's all around goodness and everything is very fresh. Have about 3 or 4 small tables outside for that "cafe experience" but at the end of the day, it is a strip mall so don't get your hopes up too high over the ambiance. The space inside the bakery is itty-bitty so ordering on Saturdays & Sundays isn't such a pleasurable experience. Sometimes the line for the ordering counter extends out towards the front door and outside. At the end of the day, their little treats are worth it. Try it!

The baked goods are made from best ingredients, everything is always fresh, the coffee is a superb mix of two types of beans not disclosed by the owner. Try the hot chocolate (or request it 'iced')! Selena makes the BEST sandwiches/salads. Worth the drive from anywhere in Miami.

I am not a big dessert fan, but this place makes the must sumptuous creme brulees, chocolate mousses, apple tarts... I could go on. To boot, the service is great, even while accommodating such a large number of people in such a small space. If you like French desserts and pastries, do not pass up a chance to try this place - you will not be disappointed.

délicieux! of course I googled english to french for delicious! totally amazing buttery croissants. i've been craving this place for a while and finally did it. I love to see me some french people behind the counter AND eating at a french bakery. most of the patrons during my visit were sitting outside and enjoying a nice miami morning. the line was long at times but moved fast. we didn't wait 5 mins and line started at the door. credit cards accepted but $10 min for AmEx and $5 min for all others. facility is clean. hubby ate ham and cheese croissant with Café au lait (cafe con leche), and I had turkey and cheese croissant with hot chocolate that was decadent and also amazing. also had chocolate croissant, and had creme brulee to go and it was so rich in flavor. I will definitely return. the cakes and quiches look tasty too.

Everything at this small, family owned, french bakery is delicious. It is all top quality ingredients and fresh. They have a few tables in front of the store where you can sit. They have the best croissants I have ever tasted. They also make sandwiches and serve drinks such as coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. Everything I have tried here is delicious, so you can't go wrong. The breads, chocolate mousse cake, brioche, creme brulee are all outstanding.

Since it was my first time here, I decided to order the almond chocolate croissant, since that is their specialty here. My croissant was topped with white powder sugar and was filled with a sweet Custer and milk chocolate. There are plenty of bakeries in this area but this one had great service, very clean, and cute inside! There are also little tables to sit at outside. Plus the women who were working gave great customer service.

I've had this place bookmarked on yelp for quite a while. Why? The overwhelming reviews that on their own, made my mouth water. The reviews did not disappoint! On an errand day, I decided to drop in and grab a few croissants. I arrived on a Monday, just after 12 noon and they were packed. I noticed the sign on the door that said keep the door closed while in line (something like that). Since it was raining, I was glad that although busy, I was able to be on the inside of the shop. They kept everyone moving along at a very good pace. While waiting in line, I noticed the beautiful presentation of pastries, deserts and quiches. I wanted to order it all but settled on ordering the mini almond, mini plain and a normal sized chocolate croissant. I didn't get the overwhelming, I'm happy to see you type of welcoming but I didn't expect it either. It's been a very long time since I've been to France but I do remember the "business" type of attitude which is fine by me. Efficiently, I was out of there quickly, bags in hand. Since I couldn't wait, I immediately decided to try the mini almond croissant. Oh my gosh, it was sooooooo amazing and it's taste, unexpected. Yes it was sweet but it wasn't ridiculous sweet either. My regret, not having a cappuccino along with it. That was missing and deserving of the pairing. I've since tried the other croissant and they were equally as wonderful and true to a French pastry. I can assure you, this will now be a regular stop for me....LOVED IT!

100% recommend it to anyone! I have to thank my boyfriend for introducing me to this place. They have awesome croissants, bread, sandwiches, etc. My favorites are the almond chocolate croissant, turkey croissant, apple tart and tuna sandwich. Most of the time there is a big line, but it's worth the wait! For the quality of the food the prices are very reasonable. I'm so lucky to live close by

Excellent food here! The sandwiches are made with fresh highest quality ingredients. I have lived here for decades and don't know where they find them. The breads and pastries are done the same way they used to be done in France. The pastries are light and flakey, the hard crust breads are chewy and delicious. Try a fruit tart but be warned, they haven't developed a 12 step plan to let you quit.

This is a small, busy bakery in Kendall that is very authentic to the pastries and other baked good I've had in Europe! Everything is so incredibly fresh and it's a great place to get your baked good and quiches for the weekend. Also, if you're allergic to soy - you're in luck! Most of the items are soy free since everything is homemade and natural. The qiuiches, criossants, and meat pies are our favorites!

This place is everything! It never fails me! I always get the baby tuna on baguette with a chocolate croissant. My bf loves the Orange juice here along with the black Forrest ham sandwich. I come here a few times a month. Tré magnifique!

Nothing like having fresh orange juice with a side of your favorite croissant to pair your longing reunions, a quick pick up for the upcoming brunch hour, or even grabbing a box for the family/study group to share you flaky satisfaction, having to had done it all of these, it's my croissant affair. Been coming here for years and years, this place continues to be my main spot for such craving. Especially their ham & cheese croissants and mini almond croissants, I seldom come here without grabbing one, or two, or six of these. Not only their croissants are amazing but their quiche and many mini desserts are also tasteful. Keep in mind that it gets really busy here to the point where the line goes out the front door (not a lot to walk through inside anyhow), which is usually during morning hours. Otherwise you'd cruise in like I do on a good hour, grab my favorite picks then out the door in no time.

It's about time I review this place. I love it! I started coming here a few months on the weekends with my boyfriend. I usually get there around 10am on Saturday and Sunday and it's always packed. My bf and I always have the cortadito with a chocolate croissant and cheese Danish. The raspberry cheese Danish is what originally got me hooked but the apricot cheese Danish is just as delicious. The guava croissant is magnificent as well. I've also started going during the week in the mornings around 9am/9:30am and the line is not bad at all. During the week I've been able to try the mini cheese Danish, mini chocolate croissant and mini cinnamon roll. They cost about $1 and I think it's the perfect size for a quick morning snack. So far all the pastries I've tried here have been wonderful. The only thing that was kind of meh was the "colada" I ordered one time. It was kind of flat and bitter. Tasted like American coffee that had been sitting in the pot for some time. But the cortadito is always on point. Would definitely recommend this place.

If you didn't drive up to a strip mall and stand outside in the humid hot weather, you might think you are actually waiting in line at a fancy Parisian Bakery! The pastries, breads, cookies and coffee's have to be hands down parfait et delicieux (perfect and delicious), but as so many stated and I guess I reiterate, ATTITUDE is key to a business and their attitude has to be the worst I have experienced. Not even in France are they this rude. Yes, I know they are a great bakery, but if you would be a little nicer to your patrons, we might be there more often but yet again, you really do not need it, you might say, because you have so many customers. But, would it be not such a great change to have a pleasant review about your attitude, cest la vie (it's life)! Since it is the only place that sells decent pastries down South, I guess I will continue to visit less frequent and just have the same attitude back at ya!!

Amazing French pastries! After having lunch at the Trini roti shop a couple of streets down, we decided to try some French pastries. I heard soo many good reviews on the croissants especially the chocolate and Choco almond ones. Well we ended up getting both and a couple of other items (I don't remember the name lol but they were also good). The croissants had a good amount of filling and the crust was a little bit crispy and flaky. It was soo good but if it was warm I toasted I bet it would be amazing. I highly recommend trying out their pastries. Next time I'll get more and of course the croissants again haha!

When you take a bite out of goodness and you are speechless... yup, this place did this to me.. what an experience... this place is heaven...I tried the croissant, my friend couldn't shut up about it, so hey why try something else.. OMG glad I did.. it was soooo yummy, flaky, buttery, perfect... I tried the almond croissant and took the guava, chocolate, and almond and chocolate to go.. yes I am a fat ass.. whatever.... life is too short to count calories on greatness.. when we got there, there were 5 people ahead of us, only took 5 mins in line, they are fast and efficient, you better make sure you know what you want so when they call you, you are ready. I can see why customers get bothered with the lines, but hey after standing 5+ mins in line you still don't know what you want, step aside and let the next person that most likely know what to order go.. STOP HOLDING UP THE LINE.... get here early... things run out... The prices were reasonable, I will def. come back, it is so worth it... I want to try one of their sandwiches next time with a side of croissant.. yes please!! be patient, life was not meant to be rushed... **Happy Eating**

Best bread in the Pinecrest, south coral gables neighborhood with a large selection: French, epi, tradi Delicious croissant and chocolate croissant Not a 5 star due to the service

I've read many good reviews before trying this bakery out. The almond croissant was way way too sweet. After a few bites, I was done. I've tasted some of the turkey croissant and it was not bad. The creme brûlée was pretty good. I came the second time and had the croissant and it was yummy.

Best bakery around. I'm addicted to their almond croissants!!!! Amazing service with returning customers. There's always a line out the door! Totally recommend this place and don't forget to try their almond croissants.

Really bad customer service, not even the owner cares about customers. Last time that I visited the store I left without purchasing anything and the owner didn't care. Employees just looking at the customers and no words or apologies. Super bad experience, I won't go anymore and the power of words is very fast, I do not recommend this place at all.

  • Christy G.

The pastries and coffee here are some of the best in Miami. I have been here numerous times for either breakfast or after a good workout. I have been to other french bakeries in Miami, and the food here is by far my favorite. As stated earlier with other reviews, the service is not the best.

  • Jessica A.

Always fresh and the food quality is terrific! Croissants, baguettes, pastries and desserts... There's not a thing I haven't tried here that hasn't pleased me. They also make a great cafe latte, if you're in the mood! A definite go-to spot! :)

Bonjour! Found this little bakery on US1 in route to servicing my car. This little French bakery had outside seating and little bar seating area inside. As soon as I walked in I was greeted not only by the staff but by the freshly baked aroma. I asked one of the nice ladies working behind the counter what was most popular and she suggested the spinach quiche, which was very good. Now it was very hard to decide on what croissant to get...It was between the Chocolate almond and the Guava. My inner Cuban went for the Guava, and was I glad I did! It was perfection. The perfect marriage of a Cuban pastelito de guayaba and flaky buttery French croissant. So good. Guava seems to be an ongoing theme here, they also had guava biscottis, which I may try next time. Will definitely return when I'm in the area.

Moved to Palmetto bay 2 years ago. I literally was hooked the first time, and I go to FB at least 3 times a week, every week. Some of the reviews are very confusing, and I don't know what their expectations are, and I have never experienced this rudeness some people note. They turn out fresh sandwiches and delicious pastries in no time, and almost all of the workers know my name and how I take my coffee. The tuna and prosciutto are my favorite sandwiches, and the turkey and cheese, mini almond and Danish are always perfectly fresh and delicious. Everything only costs a few bucks, and if there was a negative, it would be that they can get very busy in the morning, the line out the door sometimes, and the place is kind of small (but I get it: 1 they are packed for a reason and 2, it's a good business model, less mess, less maint., less liability.) I'm a huge fan and will continue to frequent the FB.

Wow. Line out the door. Amazing service. And some of the best French pastries in town. I highly recommend this place.

Ham and cheese. Yes please. Guava. you will want to botha'. Eclair. you must dare. It is hit or miss for the line situation but worth the wait.

They are awesome the service is ok. But the almond and chocolate croissant are so good. I venture to say one of the best croissants I've had. If, I'm on a cheat day than I'm here. I would like to try one of there sandwiches, so I will return.

Guava croissants are delectable! Pastry part isn't the best I've had but their guava filling more than makes up for that.

  • April A.

Utterly amazing croissants and quiches! I've had my share of almond croissants- I originally discovered my love for them in Paris and I would scavenge Miami in search of a reasonable comparison... Not until now have I found one and it's at this French Bakery! So yummy. I also shared a spinach croissant with my friend and we both enjoyed it quite a lot. I recommend their Cafe au lait if you love Cuban cafesito. It's delicious.

Yum! Had the chance to try 2 of their signature sandwiches today and we really loved them. We started off with a croissant because we were STARVING! It was ok. Not as flaky and crusty as I had anticipated. It kind of made me scared about the sandwiches but I was worrying for nothing. We split the prosciutto with mozzarella and the Parisian which normally has salami and Brie cheese, but I substituted turkey for the salami. Wow. The prosciutto is served hot with a pesto like spread and the most yummy mozzarella I have ever had. Loved this sandwich. The Parisian is just as good but served cold. I think it would be even better served hot. It has an amazing Dijon sauce and the Brie is so,yum. I took most of it home and am looking forward to toasting it up tomorrow for lunch! We didn't try any of the cakes but they looked super rich and very cute. I bet they are amazing too!

Best French bakery I've encountered in Miami. The almond croissants are a must. The quiches are delicious. The fruit tarts, the orange juice, everything is! The staff speaks English, Spanish and French and they offer great service. 100% recommended.

  • Ivette B.

So glad I finally tried this place! The croissants were delicious! I tried ham & cheese, almond, guava, and chocolate-almond. All were on point! Also tried the cafe mocha (I try this everywhere) and it was by far one of the best I've had. Must be the Belgian chocolate they use. I will return here many times.

    (5)
  • Mitzy R.

Great food quality prices are reasonable to high. Service it's slow and the staff is not not too friendly but it's worth it. My advice is to order carry out and enjoy it somewhere else. Their sandwiches and pastries are absolutely fresh and taste delicious. Sandwiches ate big enough to share if you are not hungry. The OJ is squeeze while you wait.

  • Bri P.

I went there for the first time with my family, best cappuccino I've had by far! The tuna salad was fresh and delicious. My son ate all of the pumpkin muffin and he wanted more! I definitely can't wait to go back!

It is so nice to have a french bakery in the area let alone one that is totally authentic. I've been going there for a few months now and I have never been disappointed. Actually each time I go, I end up trying more items. The breads, baguettes, cakes, tarts, croissants and quiches are all delicious and what you would expect from a quality french bakery. However, it is a bit chaotic inside, so you may jockey for a place in line. Also, I have never found a server that is pleasant. I go back in spite of this because this is the only place like this in the area.

    (4)
  • Sydney M.

Prosciutto d'amour is pretty good but can sometimes have too much of the spice dressing thing they put on the bread. The baked goods all look and are delicious. There's not a lot of space to sit, but you can typically find a spot.

    (4)
  • Cristin R.

Best cafecito I have had in Miami is at this French bakery. They also make a great sandwich with fresh mozzarella and prosciutto, though the menu is quite limited. The bakery also gets really packed at lunch time so be careful. The staff could be a little more friendly.

    (4)
  • Iris C.

Absolutely love their croissants! My favorite is the ham and cheese- which is of course filled with ham and cheese, with a crust of melted cheese. They have a wide variety of pastries and they sell fresh bread and even cakes. This place is always packed and the store isn't that big, so sometimes the line is outside the door. 4 stars only because a couple of time, my croissants were cold, as if they've been sitting in the fridge for a while.

    (4)
  • Mina K.

The croissants are large and flaky, and the quiche is delicious. It seems to always be busy, but the line moves quickly. My experience with service has been decent, though it can be overwhelming if you don't know what you want.

    (4)
  • Samual D.

Best baguette in town. If only they did not try so hard to alienate their customers with their nasty attitude. Maybe they are just trying to be authentic French, but it doesn't make for a pleasant experience. I would have rated higher, but their poor demeanor gets in the way. I see this comment by so many people, so I have to assume they just don't care.

    (3)
  • Brett H.

I had their hot chocolate which was very good. I also had their chocolate croissants which were good too. I was surprised that they had brioche which were ok. They tasted good but had a weird look to them. I'm used to them looking differently but to each their own. I want to go back and try their eclairs and other desserts. A bit disappointing that the staff was speaking nothing but Spanish in a French place.

    (4)
  • DV P.

I arrived in the afternoon, but the line was nonetheless snaking out to the sidewalk. Fortunately, it moved along at a reasonable pace. I ordered 3 different croissants: almond, almond & chocolate, and guava. The almond croissant was good, but the almond & chocolate just had a hunk of chocolate on the center, while the center of the guava croissant just had a slab of guava jam. As others have mentioned, the service is terse and a bit haughty, but not outright rude. Overall, Delices de France gets 2 stars for the almond croissant alone.

    (2)
  • Minoska M.

My favorite place for chocolate almond croissants. Service is blah, but the pastries are on point, so yeah.

  • Nicole H.

Have to give this place one star because of their ridiculous weekend hours. This is the second time I drive all the way here and they are closed! Don't bother coming here on a Sunday, they close at 2p.m. I got here at 2:05 and they would not wait on me even though there were still people inside ordering. I watched them turn away 7 people after I left.... you think that is a sign that you should stay open later on Sundays?! Extend your Sunday hours!!

    (1)
  • Nicolas M.

The customer service is just not warm. I appreciate the prices and the food is fresh and delish. But really quit complying about closing time. Have some empathy. Shops have a closing time for a reason!!

  • Chris C.

This place is worth any traffic on US-1! Actually, if I worked around here, I would just drive here during rush hour and slowly enjoy a 4 course meal as traffic died down. Lets get to the food: Prosciutto Panini was delicious! I used to work at Norman Bros. and we sold more prosciutto panini than I would like to remember. But this place blows every one I've had out of the water. What was it...maybe a combination of what they did, frankly I don't want to know I just want to enjoy. The guava biscotti was such a delight. It's as if a french woman fell in love with a cuban man and decided to custom make this biscotti. Now, only down side, and if you see this, whatever, the boss was some rude (not sure if he's french, but stereotypically...probably) obnoxiously loud guy that walked in for 30 seconds, screamed at employees and walked out with 8 loaves of bread (and though he wasn't wearing a beret, in my mind...he was) Please keep making the delicious food and keep that dude away from the store. 5 Stars despite of the not so charming Pepe Le Pew-esque boss.

We stopped by Delices De France on our way to Key West. The outside of their croissants are incrediblly crunchy, crispy and the inside was buttery soft. We actually turned around and got some more! Creme brulee was very smooth and just right creamy for the custard and the top was evenly crunchy. It is a solid bakery place!

  • Faby P.

Obsessed with this place! Their croissants are truly the best. The ham and cheese - so good! Filled with sweet ham and melted cheese, topped with a nice crust of cheese. The true star of the show and quite possibly the reason for most of my pregnancy weight gain is the guava croissants. Thick, sweet, gooey guava filling surrounded by flaky, buttery croissant dough topped with sugar rocks that melt in your mouth. It's a tiny place so if you're not a fan of eating outside be prepared to take your goodies to go.

    (5)
  • Khaleesi T.

Your life will not be fulfilled until you try their creme brulee. It's hands down the best thing you'll ever eat ($3.95) Each pastry is between $3 - $5. Certain things, such as cookies and mini almond cakes are about two bucks or less. Everything here is made from scratch. I've talked to the owner (authentic old lady from Paris) who tells me they begin to bake at 4:00 am. Anything you eat is extremely fresh and you can absolutely taste it's home made. The danish-- cheese or raspberry, is to die for. You know a place is the real deal when your pastries still taste amazing after 2 days, which is the case with the danishes. I don't live nearby so I usually buy a few when I stop by during weekends. The following Tuesday I'm still enjoying the pastries and they STILL taste aaaaamazing. The place is tiny and has a few tables right out front. They also have croissants, baguette bread and coffees. I have yet to eat something I don't like. Beware though, once you eat here you WILL become addicted! Another nice little bonus is the fact that all left over food not sold by days end gets donated. Usually a church or so comes to pick it up.

  • Madeleine C.

Delicious. I have had my share of phases where I will eat 1-2 ham/cheese croissants a day for a week straight - not exactly the healthiest thing to do but who cares, it's delicious. I'm so lucky I live 2 miles from this wonderful place. I've ventured to other places and have proudly hosted a "croissant challenge" where I made people taste different croissants and these seemed to be the crowd pleaser. They are buttery but not so greasy that they make a squishy sound in your mouth. I love it. The people that work here sometimes remind me of the soup nazi. I guess I can't blame them because the line will be out the door and some people will ask a million questions - annoying because the longer I wait in line the more I tend to order when I get to the cashier. Do yourself a favor and buy a fresh croissant here. If you take it home, stick it in the oven for a little and crisp the outside... smell it... tear a piece... eat it... oh so good. I know. Trust me, I have been known to eat upto 15 croissants in 1 week .. oh yeah

BEST CROISSANTS IN THE US! I came back from France dying for more pastries and thank god my husband found this place, it's far for us but worth it! So amazing and totally worth the prices & the wait (gets packed some times) - love delices!

Great French Bakery! Location Located in a strip mall on US1. Has a private lot with plenty of parking, It has a few tables and chairs outside so you can sit and Enjoy your Food and Drinks! Pastries and Bread They have so many delectable from France that its so Hard to Choose what you want! I usually get their Creme Brullee and its so Creamy and Rich. The Sugar on top is Perfectly Melted to form a Shell of Deliciousness! They make their Pasties Fresh on premises by their Master Bakers, The Croissants. My Favs are the Ham and Cheese, Turkey and Cheese,Plain, and the Almond. Its Sooo Goooood. Flaky and Buttery and Baked to Perfection! The several different Breads are made and baked Fresh Daily. I get the baguettes or the brioche. They also make sandwiches here. They have fresh squeezed OJ and they make coffee, lattes, and cappuccino too. The staff is friendly and helpful in explaining all that they have to offer.

  • Maria A.

There'll probably be a line out the door... those aren't tourists who have fallen for the hype, those are regulars who understand that quality is worth waiting for. Don't leave without tasting at least 2-3 things. Croissants: plain, almond, chocolate, are all great. And the chocolate chip cookies are incredible, I believe it's the top notch quality of chocolate. Then again, I don't think there's much that isn't incredible here.

  • Romi C.

it truly is a luxury to own and operate a french bakery with terse, rude women manning the counter for years and still be in business. It happens to be busy in here all the time! Unfriendly service aside, this is one of those bakeries you have to wake up early enough to buy as many quiches that are left. Please try the almond croissant, the brioche with sugar on top and those beautiful little tarts. You'll always be the favorite guest at dinner parties if you manage to snag one of their cakes, pies or tartes. Everything is beautiful and delicious. crappy service aside. They have fresh squeezed orange juice!

I don't know how I did not discover this place earlier!!! We got there during the week around 9am, there was some people eating and buying. This is a nice French bakery owned by french people. We bought a brioche, baguette and some palmiers (2) - $5 all. The brioche was INCREDIBLY soft, and the sugar on top of it has a small hint of lavender...?? it's not simply sugar, it's sugar with a hint of another flavor! In the following minutes the place was full of people making a line almost to the door. Line moves fast, desserts look delicious. A bit on the pricey side, but I think it will be worth it. Nice little place for a cafecito in the afternoon with a brioche!!

Just been there ...and one of the sales ladies named "Tambra" was just awful!!! Like she's on drugs or something....I could feel like there was something wrong with her as soon as I came in...No Hi, nothing...just "what do you want?!" She shortened me of an item...So I told her nicely..She replied "What?!?! and went on and on....very rude! Everyone was looking at her....I asked for the owner which of course wasn't there...Luckily there was this other lady who felt sorry for me and tried to help. Will not go back in a long time!!!!!

Tiny hidden little gem in the ugly sea of south US1!! LOL!!! No really this place rocks! The aroma upon entering is to die for. And apparently everybody knows it...the line is massive, they even have a sign posted that says "Please keep the door closed while waiting in line"! But the flaky butterry pastries are well worth it. :) Oh and prosciutto sandwich is a must.

  • Dominique C.

Everything but the customer service is exceptional! I still feel like they deserve the 5 stars because the quality of their product is incomparable to any other. Unfortunately they have really rude women attending customers and it does not help that the space is very limited. It looks like a stock exchange in mornings. I love the ham & cheese croissants, cheese Danish, meet pies, quiches, brioches...everything!

I love this place!! Croissants are amazing, eclairs are delicious and fresh.Best French pastries in Miami-dade hands down.

  • Sasha B.

I give 5 stars for food and quality, but give 2 stars for friendliness and warmth. I haven't purchased anything at this bakery that wasn't very good and well made. Their prices are not inexpensive, some items are outrageously priced. Rarely are any of the employees nice to the customers, most of them act as if they're doing the customer a favor. The young man who must be a son of the owner because of the resemblance, his name's Brian, is either very shy or totally unfriendly. The owner himself is very dry and unfriendly, he looks like a very unhappy fellow. On occasions we've seen the owner seated at outdoor tables with several of his bicycling buddies talking forever and taking up a large number of tables which other customers could be using. Several times they've made mistakes on sandwiches or sweets I've ordered for take-out, I don't find out until I get to my office (in Doral!!) and then I'm stuck with the mistake.

I liked the croissant so much I took one more to have at the airport later today! I had the guava croissant with orange juice. It was great. I also tried the tomato quiche and it was amazing. The staff are very friendly too.

Wonderful. Love Delices De France. Been going here for years and have never been disappointed. Would receive 5 stars if the service was better- even when they're not busy the staff isn't very nice :(

  • Alejandra A.

Can this place be any more yummier???????? WOW! You HAVE got to check out this little tiny- I mean tiny- hole in the wall. It is clean and the staff real friendly. The smell in there is to die for, the subs are delish and please take the time to taste several items from their desserts. Hands down ....the almond croissant's........ooohhh EMM GGG!!!! You know what I also admire about these guys, is that they close down for vacation, just like if they where back home in Europe. THUMBS up!

  • Michelle J.

Delices De France is a perfect name for this bakery. I can't tell you one specific item to try here because EVERYTHING is delicious. Yes, the staff are curt but I would be too if I have a line of 10 people out the door. It's not rudeness it's efficiency, they can't stop and ask you about your day because they are too busy making the most amazing croissants you will ever eat. It may sound like I am exaggerating but I ask you to try for yourself and come back and let me know. Okay I lied when I said I couldn't give you specifics... try the plain croissants, the ham and cheese croissants, and the tomato quiche. This is what real french pastries taste like.

  • Christine C.

Obsessed with this place! Best cortaditos of the area. Of course, the pastries are amazing. They have a variety of croissants, including wheat, guayaba, ham/cheese, turkey/cheese, and almond, pain au chocolat, meat empanadas, and a TON of desserts. They also have a variety of baguettes and homemade bread. MUST COME HERE!!
