While the food was passably good, for the price it was underwhelming at best. The waiter took the order and disappeared, for some reason the manager took over serving my table and the table next to me (there was only one other table in the dining room with customers). The steak could not have been prime category. I will not be going back. The only good news was that I used a social coupon so I did not have to pay the steep price that this food did not merit.

Let me be honest. Really honest. This place kinda, sorta sucks. The service is good (as it should be because we were the only ones there). The food is edible. Other than that... Meh. My boyfriend and I had a very interesting experience that involved a groupon type coupon. Allow me to tell my tale... So my boyfriend bought this coupon online ( I forget which site he bought it from). We went to chophouse for lunch, ordered our food, was brought the check, gave the coupon, and then had a manager show up at the table. He informed us that they no longer accepted this site's coupon (mind you the coupon was not yet expired). Ok we said to him but we still have a valid coupon and it is still available on the site so isn't this your restaurants problem and not the innocent customer? Nope. He refused to accept it. We kept our cool and very politely explained how this really shouldn't be our problem. Clearly the restaurant doesn't care about having customers return because the guy wouldn't budge. We got a measly 10% discount and were told we needed to deal with the website. We only went to this place because we had the coupon and had heard it is not worth full price. Now, after paying basically full price (10%!?!? Seriously dude?!?) I can assure you, it's not worth full price. Go here if you have a free meal coupon... Or don't because they don't honor their coupons!!!!

This is definitely not my favorite steakhouse in Miami. First, for the good, their service is excellent and you never have to wait for a table. Their outdoor patio is great in the winter months. In my opinion, however, I think you can get much better steak for the money.

Awful service, the server was rude and the food way overprice. Search around there is way better places to spend quality time and enjoy good food worth your money.

we chose to walk in to this bar because they were advertised online that they have a happy hour from 4-7pm daily. upon arriving there, the bartender didnt offer the happy hour menu when asked.

I like that place specially at happy hours, drinks is good and chip and filet mignon is always good

Yes the appetizers appear to be frozen from a box (although on this latest visit my companion's calamari was quite fresh and elicited odors of the refreshing sea) but the consistently good service (waiters appear smiling and avid to make sure all one's needs are taken care of) and the awesome happy hour ($5 dollar glasses of wine and quite scrumptious sangrias; white and red) make this a must go to if you are a downtown worker and you just need to relax (and maybe even tie one on). I've also been here for lunch (caveat, during Miami Spice) and found the portions to be plentiful and truly yummy, I'd far rather eat a meat dish here than from Capital Grille which is more or less around the corner.

Even after reading the terrible reviews for this place, I went in because I was hungry and it was close to my hotel. It was a tragic mistake. If you are reading this review, don't set foot in this restaurant. It has truly the worst food and service that I have ever experienced in my adult life. After being seated, I waited 20 minutes for a server to approach. After another 20 minutes, I finally got a glass of water. I ordered the shrimp cocktail because I knew it could be delivered quickly. And that was the single satisfactory event in the entire experience. Although I paid $13 for 3 shrimp, at least they were U-10 and tasted fresh. For my entree, I ordered the snapper. What was delivered was a breaded and fried piece of unidentifiable mush covered in a thick mushroom gravy. Since I was starving I resolved to just eat it, however once I took a bite, I realized that the fish was rancid (which is undoubtedly why they drenched it in sauce). For the first time in my life I sent a dish back and ordered the tuna as a replacement. Though edible, the tuna was very lackluster at $30. My server "Auggie," was responsive after I complained, but inattentive in general. I sat in a relatively empty restaurant with an empty water glass and extended periods of neglect for the entire dinner. I was then presented with a bill of $80 for one person. In sum, if you are truly set on wasting a C-note on Biscayne Boulevard, you'd be better served tossing a bill in the Miami River.

Horrible place. It took over an hour to get the food. Then they forgot my order. When the good finallu arrived, it was less than mediocre. One of us ordered a medium rare steak, it came out well done, how do you go from medium rare to well done? What part of the game is that? Like you literally have to try to fick up that order. Not a happy camper.

Had dinner tonight, didn't read any reviews before hand. It was empty so we opted for outside seating. Server was quick to arrive with water and to offer drinks. We ordered drinks and appetizers, me shrimp cocktail, hubby the pork belly. Both were good. When the drinks came we ordered our dinner. The hubby got the 14oz New York strip and a side of Mac and cheese. Both were delicious. I ordered the wedge salad ( no tomato, no crumbled blue cheese, but with blue cheese dressing ( the waitress didn't really describe the dressing properly ) which came out the way I wanted it. However the baked potato I ordered did not come. When asked it was clear it had been forgotten. I'd finished my wedgey salad by the time they nuked it to come out. Parts of it were very hard. There was no check back, a particular pet peeve and we had to glad down a waitress for more water, and we were never offered a second drink. We are tourist here so it's likely we won't be back again anyway. Food was good ( except potato ), service was lacking.

Great casual restaurant for simple tasty food. Located conveniently close by my hotels both times I went (JW marriott marquis and intercontinental Miami). Service is consistent, food is affordable and delicious and outdoor seating is great on a cool night.

Arrived to dinner late because of traffic but the hostess was very polite and sat us right away. There was a pre-set menu but wasn't bothered by it, Our table was already served with water which had clearly been sitting there as the ice had already melted. There were two sets of menus one of which belonged to another larger party which had our server preoccupied. Our table was not served bread but other tables had baskets of warm bread. Furthermore the prime rib my date ordered was that was very dry served without Au Jus or horseradish was very dry and bland. My fillet mignon was great but that is the only thing that came out well. I was overall disappointed in my experience and would not recommend this restaurant. It was certainly not worth the $200+ I paid for this meal.

Well being that I live within walking distance I decided to check it out yet again since it did change ownership (yet again). Very little, if any presence in the outside area. Strange considering this is the entrance and face of the establishment.( In their defense its hard to keep a full staff in the slow season). The manager came out shortly after. Hussein, as he introduced himself, greeted me and took my order. Very polite. Very friendly. Shortly after I noticed they had some of the staff from previous ownership here. I recognized one in particular. Ernesto I believe his name is. He was our server many months back and was great. Then I get Ogi as my bartender. Again one of the few that made it great back then. These guys were great but the manager at the time was far from that level and made me not return until now. He is no longer around. In short,The food is good, as it was then. The service is great on different levels. I hope it keeps going in that direction. Thank you Hussein for that beer. Just thought I'de share.

Not impressed at all. I went to watch the game and have a burger at the bar. The bar tender did not ask me how I wanted the burger cooked and when it came it was charred, chewy and worse than what you would get from a high school booster club cook out. Unfortunately there is no way around how bad and overcooked the burger was. And at 16 dollars a whack, you'd think you'd get something a little better prepared. Honestly, it's one thing to have a bad burger under 10 bucks, its a whole other story to pay nearly 20 for a hockey puck.

Excllent meal. I had the Sea Bass and others at the table enjoyed their meals as well. Try the crab mac and cheese. Ask for Muki - he's an excellent waiter and took care of us.

What a disappointment... I used to live in MET1 building and was a frequent visitor. Place was amazing! Nice view, great deal for happy hour and best of all - steaks. Huge and juicy steak at prices better than any steak house on Brickel. Now look what happened... the only good thing that was done is outdoor patio refreshment. Steaks are publix style, appetizers in some stupid glass jars... Prices went up. Drinks barely have any liquor in them. The only good thing about this place is my memories of what it used to be like 3-4 years ago.

So I've been here in Miami for a year now, and have noticed a change in the activity at chophouse and decided to check it out (as we haven't been there for a while). We were happy the discover that the management has changed and that the manager/owner (Justin) has become significantly more involved in the day to day of the business. Their happy hour menu has upgraded and the outdoor bar is becoming a more and more fun place to visit on a random Miami night. Being one of the only outdoor bars in Downtown, I think this place is going to get even better as time passes.

This place is right across from where I live and I once decided to drop by for a night cap. That was months ago, I keep coming back- in the last two months or so the place has change a lot, for the better. It's essentially under 'new' management, as the main owner Justin is now the sole owner. This guy is great! He's constantly walking about, checking up on the customers and making sure everything is exactly as desired. The outside has really picked up in business. The only thing that perplexes me is how the inside isn't just as full! It must be because no one really knows how extensive and well decorated the inside is. I'm talking relatively upscale. I've eaten here and the service was quick and the food... Phenomenal. On par with toro toro and wolfgangs. I'd recommend this place any time. A nice move is to set up a reservation and have one or two drinks at the badass outdoor bar and then move it inside for a first class meal.

THE WORST PLACE EVER, I am telling you, you will be disappointed. The owner has cursed out customers for not being up to his standards. The owner is so rude and I've heard horror stories from friends about how they've watched him curse out employees, guest and more. He does not deserve anyones business. The food is average and the restaurant is very dirty, way better places to go in Miami. Miami is filled with great restaurants and this is not one of them, do not waste your time. Horrible, horrible place.

Exaggeratedly Over-rated! The fact that the food was cold when it was brought out was a turn off. Not to mention they were "out" of a lot of items on the menu AND wait staff are not friendly AT ALL and can barely speak English. What kind of business do they think they're running? Clearly these owner are only thinking about how much $$ they can make in such a prime location that they're not thinking about their service or reputation. Went for brunch, won't be going back.

I have been enjoying the Chop House since it first opened as Manny's in 2008. Great environment on the patio. It is a neighborhood bar that also operates as a nice steak place.

One of my new favorite Happy Hour spots! Perfect to sit outside so you see the views of Biscayne Bay and Brickell Key and also enjoy Miami weather after being stuck in an office all day. The Happy Hour menu is really great and affordable. It gives people a chance to try out the restaurant without having to splurge and will give you a chance to try a little bit of everything. Bar Bites run between $3-$10 max and $5 glasses of wine. I have tried just about all of the bar bites the couple times I have been and everything was great. (I also included a pic of the happy hour menu for more details). Be sure to also check out some of the appetizers on their regular menu if you are with a few people and are just in the mood for appetizer/tapas. Based on my experience, I'm sure that their full meals are really fantastic. I just don't usually like to order a huge heavy meal at night and prefer to try several smaller items. They also have a big screen tv outside by the bar, so I will probably be coming here the next time I want to watch the Miami Heat play vs going to a sports bar with unhealthy greasy food. This place is much more upscale and pleasant. Mostly local business crowd (suit/tie-men, slacks/blouse/dresses - women). Service is extremely friendly and attentive. Also the manager even came over to our table several times to make sure everything was great. We left very happy and we will definitely be frequenting this place often!

The ultimate luxury dining experience, the inside of the restaurant is like a lounge type look but very laid back atmosphere and a beautiful ambience. After my first visit, I've been back 3 times in 10 days. The staff is lovely, management is all about 100% customer satisfaction and appreciation. The food is the best ever! I go for the steak and penne pasta each time. The outside bar is pretty good weekdays so if you need to get out on a weekday come to this place. I like the more intimate laid back dining inside. Good for special occasions. The big red booth in the main dining area is amazing.

WORST RESTAURANT IN MIAMI!!!! DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS IT IS THE LAST RESTAURANT ON EARTH. Service is horrendous, and the servers are unkind. Food is completely overpriced and not worth it. It took almost 20 minutes to even be approached by someone, and the entire meal took almost two hours. One of the guests in our party asked for a food substitution because of an allergy and it came out incorrect, which is not only inconsiderate but dangerous! And when we asked to speak to the manager or owner, he addressed us in a completely condescending manner. So unprofessional, especially when we watched him talk about us to another staff member and essentially point and laugh at our table. One of the worst dining experiences of my life.

Worst restaurant in Miami! Do not waste your money. A group of friends and I gathered here for brunch. Our food was mediocre and lacked quality. I requested napkins for my table 3 times and never received them even after dining. Our plates were taken up and after waiting 15 minutes we didn't see our server. When we did we requested our check. After not receiving it we requested our check from another server 15 minutes later. After still not receiving it we requested it from the manager twice in a 30 minute period. After waiting AN HOUR to pay our check we left. Of course the manager then comes to find out why we haven't paid. After reminding him that he never brought our check he made excuses as to why his business it too busy to accept payment. No offer to discount us for our inconvenience or apology for his lack of service. I even walked back to the restaurant to have a conversation with him about how to improve & he turned and walked away from me. Do not waste your money or time this is a terrible place to dine in Miami.

I made a reservation for a lunch meeting and nobody told me there was absolutely no parking. The valet for the attached condo refused to park our car in their empty parking garage for any amount of money. After going around the block I left the car with the valet across the street. They told me inside that the valet across the street is the only place to park. Really? What a hassle. The food was good, but not worth dealing with that. Next time I will just go to the restaurant with the parking across the street. Plus there was only one other group in the place. I guess everyone else knows there is no parking!

Had their filet steak. It was undercooked and had a weird flavor to it. I took a few bites and passed on the rest. Service was not very good either. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Two people in entire restaurant at 9PM on a Saturday nite. We ordered drinks which were watered down and terrible. My boyfriends manhattan had chunks of something in it. We decided to leave and go somewhere else to dine. Do not waste your time!

"Get Ready to get Raped-Part2 Somehow the Chop house 305 which is the same as "Chop House which is now showing "moved" on yelp got our original review taken down-Wow-nice job on that! Anyway we had a miserable dining experience, overcharged, food was bad, complete con artists-(hence the name change again) you'll see when the check arrives if your crazy enough to go in this place. The waiter had the balls to yell at me and my family after I questioned the bill..All you have to do is read the original reviews of chop house. Um ..yeah the ones that are still left and not removed by yelp...whats up with that My wifes meal was literally caked in salt so they sent it back and charged us for 2 meals, then yelled at us and said"Your paying for exactly what you got! I ordered steak-it came out on a gigantic empty white plate which dwarfed the 5" steak, with nothing on it...Waiter asked which side dish i wanted with the steak. I said mashed potatoes, there was an additional $9 on the bill for a tiny dish and they never mention it-they make you think it comes with the meal....lol Literally the worst dining experience ever BEWARE!!!!!!

What a great experience to finish off our weekend in Miami. Great steak, cooked how I asked. Great music and nice drinks. The ambiance is fun and I would host my birthday party here if I didn't live in San Francisco.
