If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I, too, received a flyer about a month and a half ago for China Wok. I stuffed it into the "menu" drawer, completely forgetting about it until today. I stumbled upon it while looking for a dinner solution and of course I had to yelp it prior to calling to place an order. The reviews here almost made me toss my flyer out...I am so glad I didn't! I called, and a nice girl named Anna answered the phone. I asked her about the reviews, and she informed me that the location has been owned for about 7 years, but they recently merged with a new restaurant, and are trying to revamp their customer base. I decided to give them a try. I got the family special 'A'. 4 egg rolls, a large wonton soup, a large fried rice, and two large meat or veggie options. I went with house lo mein and honey garlic chicken. The total came out to $32, which if you ask me is a huge amount of food for not a lot of money. What first really caught my eye was that I asked if they could bring change for a hundred, but I specifically requested $20 of the change to be in singles, if possible. Anna put me on hold and asked someone to make sure it was do-able, and sure enough, they said it was no problem! The food itself is freaking GREAT. The chicken is extra crispy as I specified, and surprisingly very flavorful, considering I ordered the sauce on the side. The rice is soft yet the veggies and shrimps are plump and colorful. The lo mein was rich, and packed with meat. Hands down, this is my new go-to Chinese spot. Don't let the old reviews spoil it for you, give them a try!

My wife and I received a flyer in the mail for a Chinese restaurant close to our home. We could not find a review on yelp but we thought we would try it. We ordered the dinner specials and had it delivered to our home. Took about an hour to have it delivered but the food was tasty and the prices were very reasonable. The dinner special came with both soup and an egg roll and the portions were very large. We will try again. The fortune cookies were fresh!

The food is old. The chicken wings are old n refried and the rice is hard. Can not believe they served this. Picked up for lunch, my mistake not to check it first.

This has been by far the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. I was speechless after I tried this food, honey garlic chicken tasted old, the pan fried dumplings were burnt and the dough was extremely thick, please do yourself a favor, Do not spend your money here... it is so disrespectful from them to own a restaurant and offer their clients such a poor quality of food service.

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible!!!! Worse delivery ever! Kung Pao and General Tso's chicken were both inedible. I'm pretty sure that wasn't chicken. Blehhhhh.....

Let me just say this- I rather keep driving 3 miles to another Chinese restaurant than to come back to this one. I even got a coupon for my next visit and did not use it.

One word...NASTY!!! The lady that takes the orders and collects the money grabbed the shrimp roll I ordered out of the freezer with her BARE hands and threw it into the deep fryer...and the food (especially the fried rice) was also nasty! I won't be back!

Huge menu; you order at the counter then sit down (only about 4 tables for those eating inside the restaurant). Ton of food, VERY friendly people running it. All the food is made fresh while you wait. I only had vegetable fried rice, which was quite good. My father had a shrimp egg roll which he said was good. I also got a veg spring roll, which was good, but, it had mushrooms in it, which I don't care for. You can eat in or take out. FANTASTIC prices. This is a real good neighborhood joint. Clean inside. And, again, the counter girl was very nice. They also deliver within 5 miles with a $12 minimum. One thing I didn't like was that they don't offer any tofu. Being that I'm vegetarian, there weren't any meat substitutes for me to order.

I usually order from here when I want chinese takeout. I enjoy the fried meat wontons and their orange chicken is also pretty good. The service is good, the lady taking orders always gets my order correct and is not rude like most Chinese takeout cashiers.

I vacillated between giving this place 3 or 4 stars. Some things are really good, while others not so much. For example, their kung pao shrimp, veggie fried rice, chicken and broccoli and egg rolls are really tasty and consistently good. Their honey chicken and lo mein leave much to be desired. Their honey chicken is more breading than actual chicken, and the chicken lo mein totally grossed my friend out. That said, I order the dinner special pretty often and have not been disappointed with the items I know are good. You also get a lot of food for the money. I think two people could easily eat from one dinner special.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
