So yummy and super nice people! Happened to be here working closely and wandered in. Who knew I love Cuban food!!

I went here a handful of times when there weren't too many options in the area. To be fair, I haven't been here since early 2014. Maybe it is better. It just wasn't any good.

Great food better specials now and today I got called out about my previous review about me complaining. Nicer overall.

The reviews are true.. This place is good just as a quick lunch spot. I work on the campus do it's convenient and satisfies my beans and rice cravings. They surely do use too much rice and the prices are too high here. I think this place is family- owned. They close early around 3pm and open at 11am. The staff there can be rude sometimes or nice, depends who you talk to.

If I could give a negative star review. This place is ridiculous. Price gouge because they know what can you do there aren't many choices. They are stingy with the portions for the money. They could do better and make people happier and it wouldn't kill them. Because there aren't many places to eat around there the food is good. They could do better.

I feel like when there's only a few lunch places in an area none of them feel the need to be very good. Such is the case here with Chicken Kitchen. I had heard good things about other CK locations and when I needed lunch near work I figured I would try here. Pretty disappointing. I got the vegetarian bowl with rice, black beans, guac, cheese, and sour cream. SO much rice. Probably days worth of rice. But very little black beans and the guac tasted a bit off. I did like the baked plantains though, I can see me grabbing those if I REALLY needed something for lunch.

In California, chop-chop = burrito bowls. Or basically, a burrito without the tortilla to hold it all together. Besides this fact, the Chicken Kitchen makes some pretty decent chop-chop! I got the Cuban chop-chop and my girlfriend got the Oriental chop-chop (see pictures). The Cuban was fresh, light, and very filling. It also has a heart next to it on the menu, which I take to mean as being healthy. Unfortunately, that went out the window when I smothered the whole thing in the Mustard-Curry Sauce. But if I were to choose again I'd go for the Oriental; the teriyaki chicken was spot on! The chicken was perfectly glazed with the sweet teriyaki sauce, and it was really flavorful so you don't need any extra sauce on it. There is usually a long line, but service is really quick and efficient. The line definitely moves quicker than the line at Subway next door.

I work on the medical campus and chicken kitchen was the first place I tried that delicious curry mustard sauce (they don't have it where I'm from). I would get the chop chop all the time despite the extremely high price. $8 for a bowl of rice, tomatoes, lettuce and chicken is pretty absurd. After a few months in Miami I realized a ton of restaurants also have the same curry mustard sauce. Seriously why does every place have the same sauce yet I can't buy it at the supermarket? Anyway the real killer for this place is that on the med campus, a new chicken grill opened up next to Bascom which sells the same food for a reasonable $5.

Yes food is good.. a bit more expensive than the location in Brickell, but busier. The people working there must be very unhappy but who can blame them. One of the few good places to eat on campus. Is it just me or are their proportions getting smaller?I'm not c/o but i do notice it.

This is my favorite CK by far. I work on the medical campus so this is one of the lunch spots I frequent. They are by no means stingy with their servings and actually give you scooped sour cream and guacamole. I've been to several CKs lately that serve the sour cream and guac out of a squirt bottle, which just grosses me out for some strange reason. The servers could probably be a little friendlier but I don't blame them.. I'd be pretty pissy if I worked in a furnace..

I'm pretty sure that my bout with food poisoning was due to having lunch here...(although of course who really knows. But I will definitely never eat here again or at any other Chicken Kitchen. The food is overpriced and not tasty anyway, and especially worse if you...nevermind)

Chop-chop is the longest lasting Miami fad, and I guess it's not going away, due to all the chicken chains around town. And so many Chicken Kitchen locations too. Well, I like the Veggie Chop-chop and Chicken Deluxe Chop-chop best with the Mustard-Curry Sauce. Mega yumminess. They don't skimp on the sauce either, and add 1/2 of pita to every order.... So, lunch is super satisfying. Also, the Chicken Teriyaki Chop-chop and 1/4 to 1/2 Roast Chicken comes highly recommended. This location gets packed. So be prepared to wait in line. However, they do accept fax orders for delivery and take-out.

Chop chop is pretty standard fare. The chicken tends to be a bit dry because they cut it in large batches to speed up the process. The are generous with portions though. It gets very crowded during lunch. Customer service is adequate. Prices are higher than other CKs, but there are few options in the area. Not much parking either, but most people walk here.

Standing in line during lunch, that's how I can describe this Chicken Kitchen. My bf and I were frequent customers of this location when we worked at UM. Sometimes the line would almost reach the door. The good thing is, they have a lot of people working at the same time so you're not in the line for long. I'm a big fan of their Asian chop and that's what I always get. It's filling and not too bad healthwise. I like this location because of its efficiency and variety of chops. However, the prices are higher in this location than in others I've come to notice.

I normally order the regular Chop-Chop. It's pretty good....I must say that the customer service stinks, the guy behind the counter has the worst attitude I've ever encountered and the cashier is just as bad. It makes wanting to order food there such a horrible experience because these people that work there are the gloomiest and most miserable people to look at. The prices are much higher because it's a private franchise. I would never go back there again, no because of the food - the food is good, it's the attitude of the employees... Be happy you got 2 stars!!
