Is it unfair to liken this to a Brasilian Golden Corral? Walking in, you have to know what you're getting yourself into. Otherwise, you might have a frustrating and confusing experience. It's a cafeteria and it's all about the buffet. Don't come here for service. Don't come here for ambiance. Don't come here expecting haute cuisine. Come here expecting to shovel a good amount of food in your face for a decent price. The upside is that it's 'exotic' food (sorta, more later) so you might not feel as PoW as you might by grubbing out at an AYCE buffet. Sunday lunch was a free for all. Once you walk in, spy a table that's not laden with dirty plates, make eye contact with a waiter and order some form of beverage, go up to the bar and start to do your thing. I'll keep this at 100: I am no stranger to AYCE buffets. I am from Kentucky and i own it: Ponderosas, Sizzlers, Golden Corrals, etc. I've been to them all (admittedly, not in many years) and I've lived to tell the tale. That said, I was a bit disappointed that I recognized many of the options: pasta, potatoes, soup, potato salad, feijoada, fish, chicken, beans, pineapple... There's an all-out Brasilian lunch experience back in Chicago (Sinha Elegant Cuisine) and there were all sorts of wonderfully confusing foods, with many of them brightly colored reds and purples, interesting meats, tart cabbages, etc. I was expecting that. I was not expecting po-tay-toes, boil em, mash em, stick em in a stew. So, come here knowing this: little on the menu will come as a culinary surprise... but, sometimes, all you want is to eat mass quantities of decent food while some insane game show from Rio plays on the overhead TVs. It happens.

A comida é bem saborosa!

Really great place, people serving are so friendly, food is delicious! I would completely go back there.

Expensive. That's all I can say. Staff is rude, quality of food is way lower than any Brazilian restaurant I ever tried in Miami... seriously ANY! I would not recommend it to a friend.

this place was a complete dump!! i would have given it 0 stars but i was forced to give it atleast one. the food was terrible, it tasted and looked like it had been sitting there for hours and to top it off it was ridiculously expensive for how disgusting it was. it hurt my soul to pay for that food. and did i mention there were flys all over the place. on the positive, the staff was really nice. .

After 10yrs+ I'm still hooked on this brasilian soul-food type buffet joint. Fair price for having Picanha on Saturdays and other weekday lunch specials. This spot has been remodeled and it is always kept clean. There's one in Orlando too! Pretty straight forward place, you go in, grab what you want and pay at the end. Waiters and staff know me and my wife and are always courteous and attentive every time we go for our steak... even the cook! :) So don't expect the rodizio type service (which is usually anywhere from $40 to $70 per person) + service etc... here for only $16, you can eat all the food you want and look above the fruit bar: that's where they got the desserts! best bang for your buck fellas! Also, if you got a new girl that you haven't quite checked out, this is the perfect spot 'cause you have to continuously get up... don't be lazy! This joint is so good and so friendly, even homeless are welcome! we saw one the other day but he paid up front and took some extra for the road (under his jacket)! hahahaaaa! it was late and staff was a little alerted but no one did anything 'cause he was a passive niche. Just saying, downtown miami is not downtown Wash. DC. You gotta watch it at night fellas! Overall, I would recommend to a group with large appetite! and to watch any game =D Goooool! Be safe... El Niche.

where do I start from?.... mmm the manager did not even say hi, waitress don't even speak English, they were very rude, chef made a racial comment,(I am Mexican) when I went to pay the cashier and manager did not even smile but instead they made faces. Most horrible experience I ever had before in a restaurant.

Every time I go eat there I get a tummy ache I guess this place is still open after all these years because tour guides trick Brazilian tourists to going there :(

Buffet style, not rodizio. Good selection of Brazilian cuisine. Lots of dessert choices. My Brazilian husband said the food was authentic.

Expensive for the quality of food. Not going there again. This is a tourist trap, there are many other brazilian places better than this.

I am a fan of this place. My first week in Miami I was here 3 times for lunch. Always good and tasty. Great value. The place has a variety of Spanish food beans, rice, beef, chicken, etc. Just remember to pace yourself. I seem to over do it here. Like I said food is tasty, abundant and my biggie the buffet area is kept clean. I have been to some places in town that looked like a hurricane hit. This place is a working man's place. No frills. Just good home style cooking. Yummy....... This place is worth a visit, lunch or dinner. Enjoy real food for real people.

This was place that use to be. But not anymore. The food was cold, no meat besides the chicken and some pork in a very poor feijoada. I addressed the problem to a waiter and he replied telling my party they did not bring meat to Sunday's buffet due to a large number of tourist groups there. But I will still on my quest to find a decent and authentic Brazilian restaurant around town.

This Brazilian buffet does it pretty well for what it is. Here, a 3.5 stars would be good. The place inside is kept clean all the time, thanks to the fast actions of the employees. My plate is instantly cleaned off the table once I leave for more of the buffet (yes, I'm a pig). It seems like the prices have gone up from $10 in the past reviews from 2008 to $12.89 it is now - yup, I'm holding up my receipt as we speak. :) Perhaps it's cheaper for dinner? I wouldn't know since I came for lunch. They had the picanha although I saw that they were kinda tricky with it. If the cut had a lot of meat, they would cut it thinly (and that's not smart - it makes the meat turn tough since it's still cooking itself when it leaves the grill). If it has a lot of fat, then they would cut it more in chunks, with a large portion being the fat, which is admittingly better - I'd just cut off the excess fat - but leave enough for the exquisite flavor. Carnivore all the way! But sometimes I just gotta tell that woman who is cutting the meat to cut it the way I want - decently-thick long slices... mmm! Only when done that way is the meat truly tasty! The dark meat chicken thighs were good but you'd be wasting your money over that. The pork was yummy and moist! The russian (potato) salad and the other salads were good. The two rices were bland - but white rice may be your best bet if you want it - I'd just skip it except if I wanted to mix it with the feijoada. Stay away from the seafood - they were dried out. I also noticed that there were some things that I didn't see that were mentioned in the other reviews: arroz grega, steak in onions, and plantains? It's pretty authentic for Brazilian and a good value if you plan on eating a lot. Just be picky with your choices.

My husband lived in Brazil for many years, so we are always looking for authentic Brazilian restaurants. We actually came across Camila's while visiting some of my family in Orlando (they have a location in the Brazilian section of International Drive) and found that they also have a restaurant in Downtown Miami! The restaurant is family buffet-style, with no frills or pretentions. Great, affordable restaurant for the whole family. The cost is about $12 per person for all you can eat. Parking is validated on the weekdays during lunch if you park in the lot across the street. Otherwise, street parking is your only other option.

Yes ANOTHER Buffet!! And again I only have been here for lunch. The price is kind of steep @ $12 & add in tip & we're looking at $15 or so. As I've said previously I like to keep it all around $10 for lunch and usually when I hit up a buffet for lunch it ends up being dinner too as I'm to full to eat when dinner time rolls around. That said since they've raised the price, I dont go as much as I once did but even at the new price is a good deal, especially for a carnaviore, considering their offering of flank steak with the grilled onions, which is a constant here, as is baked chicken, Black beans & white rice, and a very good Ceasar Salad on the Salad bar. They usually mix the above up offering a noodle dish of speghetti or some sort and fried fish which is always very good. The deserts they offer are always Flan, a caremel type pudding and a really good lemon whipped cream type of desert. It makes my mouth water just writing about it!! I'll hit this place up if I'm in that area and they happen to have fried fish and I'm hungry and dont feel like traveling around town just to eat. Based on the Fish, Grilled onions and the Ceasar Salad Its hard to walk away. I've always had a good experience here and I highly reccomend it if you happen to be downtown looking for a good decent place to eat.

You cannot beat the lunch value here. One of our buddies from work suggested this place once and we've come back a few times and we've always had a great experience. No problems in separating bills, the servie is great and the food is great! You must try the feijoada with farinha and the picanha. The picanha beef is sometimes a bit tough, but that's ok...there's plenty of great stuff here to keep your face4 satisfied. $10 bucks for a good quality buffet is an incredible deal, and they throw in a coffee for good measure. Yep, this place is nice.

Pretty decent , authentic, fairly reasonable Brazilian buffet.. I went for dinner with a couple Brazilian friends who had suggested it, they liked it and so did I (I have been spent a large amount of time in Brasil).. The meat is nothing fancy, the buffet is not terribly extensive, but they have the standard Brazilian staples (feijoada, picanha, farinha, etc) and the food is pretty good.. this is a pretty basic looking place but clean. All the customers in the restaurant the evening I was there recently were Brazilians except me, all the staff are Brazilians, they were showing Brazilian TV.. this caused me to like the atmosphere very much, as I love Brasil and Brazilian people... they serve a couple of the standard Brazilian beers - Skol and Brahma.. This feels like the type of neighborhood place one would find in a working class neighborhood in Brasil or maybe near a factory for the lunch crowd.. the restaurant has a validated parking arrangement with a nearby parking garage so your parking will be free if you park there, call to check which garage cuz i didn't know that until too late.

This place gets the job done. Stopped by after yoga at Bayfront and a run through the streets during Bike Miami. Always a good buffet w/ rice and feijao, grilled beef and the best grilled onions, fresh watercress (can't get enough), potato salad and rice pudding. Washed it down with a Guarana. Yum.

I love this Brazilian place. My coworkers ridicule me about my love for this place all the time. And love it for for one simple reason: It is an all you can eat buffet featuring my favorite Latin American food: marinaded steak (buried in sauteed onions) plus white rice and plantains. The cuts of the beef themselves aren't going to win any medals (and they don't quite make them the way my Cuban abuela used to), but my goodness, they are there in endless supply. This is mind-blowing to my obese skull. The quantity compensates for the quality. There's other food there, too. I'm told the salad bar portion of the buffet is good. But I really haven't cared much to fill up on anything else when I go there... Update 2012... why did I get filtered anyway? I've been back several times and I stand by all my previous views. They have added a guy cutting fresh pieces of beef by request to the buffet. Stick to that meat, it's the best in the place.

oi! i really like camilas even though i wouldnt say its brazilian cuisine. its more like buffet style, you get there and grab whatever you feel like eating. theres always a soup and then theres always chicken, marinated steak with onions, fish and also feijoada, farofa, potato salad or make your own, a few dessert options ... and the price i believe is 10$ for dinner. its a good choice and they are open til 10pm even on the weekdays ... (i think) which is really good cause not a lot of places are open til that late in downtown miami!

3.5 stars, buffet only place, $10 one of the few places open late in the downtown area they have: typical salad bar feijoada = black beans with salted pork products (i poured it over white rice) typical maduros, collard greens Arroz grega = yellow rice with raisins steak in onions = too chewy (would rather go to churrascaria for different cuts) fried chicken, and pork (tasty for a buffet) arroz doce = rice pudding dessert also had passion fruit pudding, and flan (not so good) Guaran = drink overall, it's a pretty good deal for a buffet
