I am kind of a Thai-Food fanatic. So it comes with a heavy heart to say that this restaurant was a disappointment. I went with my girlfriend for the lunch special to get an awfully prepared, icy salad, subpar customer service & rather tasteless plate. The only salvation was that it has some variety & traditional decoration.

I'm not sure what everyone loves about this place! We ordered an appetizer portion of chicken pad Thai. It wasn't anything special. The sauce was cloying...I didn't like it at all. For the main course, we ordered the Kiss Me Pork and Earth, Wind and Fire with chicken. I had to send the Kiss Me Pork back, as it was flavorless and chewy (overcooked)! The Earth, Wind, and Fire was edible, but I wasn't very fond of that sauce either as it was too sweet. I won't be back! I wish there was a Thai restaurant in Miami that is as good as the now defunct Thai Orchid on Sunset Drive! That place was awesome!

I think I'm in a good mood to be giving this place even 3 stars. Mediocre Thai food which is way over priced for what you get in return. Have eaten some great thai in Miami, this unfortunately wouldn't even make the top 20. I paid 43.00 for 2 curry dishes and a fried rice. I was very dissatisfied after eating my meal.

Great value. Cute little restaurant with delicious food and great presentation. London Golde Bridge was awesome! Also good was the shrimp in a blanket and the satay. Seemed like I couldn't go wrong with anything I chose of this menu.

Still amazing as usual. Went last night and left with a smile. Ribs and fried rice everytime. 10/10

  • Ellen H.

Every single thing we ordered was delicious. Satay came out with a fun little grill and peanut sauce was delicious. Thai iced tea was heaven - ordered 2!

This place used to be a lot better. The table smelled musty and like it was wiped with dirty rags. The ginger chicken was not very good. The pad thai was okay. The Name That Tune was very good. I thought it was overpriced for food quality. I would go to Sea Siam for thai food instead of going here.

I love the food in this place, we always go there for birthdays. We use groupons and usually consume over $100. A couple of days ago we went there again for my son's 19th birthday and the server was awesome, young kid and very funny. Quick with the food too. In this restaurant you can ask them for spiciness level from 1 (mild) to 5 (sign a release, we are not responsible. Call the paramedics ahead of time kinda thing). About the only thing I don't like is the smell when you get in, but then again, what would you expect right? it is a Thai restaurant after all. The food presentation is awesome. the place has romantic 2 seat tables. The lights are deemed, and the whole restaurant is small. I recommend you visit this place, the food is awesome, if you like spicy food go for a 3 stars. have water nearby though.

  • Lee Z.

Let me first preface by saying that the service was very good. Hence the 3 star. The staff is extremely polite. The food was decent, but not the best Thai food I have had. It was a very large group of us so I was able to try several dishes. One of the dishes that was different was My Fair Lady "A tender and lightly flavored delicacy of the sea, fried whole fresh red snapper garnished with ginger, ground pork, celery, mushrooms and green peppers." The food here is just average. But the location is convenient.

I was prepared to be wowed by Kok^2, after all the Yelp hype. I must say it was a little anticlimactic. Don't get be wrong, Double-B has a lot going on for it. Service was warm, friendly, instant and attentive. The panang chicken curry my hubs ordered was hot as the sun and delectable. However, the panang was just ok. It was chicken and curry sauce and a smattering of onions. I think there were two red pepper slices? Their menu is -tiny- however. Pad thai and one vermicelli dish are the ONLY noodles on the menu. I asked the waitress if I could have pad sa ew and they obliged me. It was, also, just ok. They did not have the deep fried onion topping you get from great Thai places--or the wide short noodles. Just pad thai style noodles, cooked in the pad sa ew sauce. Couldn't complain. Wouldn't swoon. We will go back and I will either a) ask the chef to make me something they like (with lots of that veg I crave) or b) order that pineapple fried rice (because I live that PFR lifestyle).

The Little Big Man fish is worth the drive! We also like the beef fried rice, Earth Wind & Fire chicken and the shrimp appetizers. This restaurant has been around for decades and the food is still as good as 20 years ago! Really good Thai food!

  • Nicole M.

The ambiance is very oriental with the decorations and the music. The service is amazing, they were on top of us all the time and didn't feel invasive. We got a crab combo soup which was kinda terrible, and a Bangkok salad which was simple, but good. I onto recommend the salad if you like dressings with peanuts mixed in. For the main course we got a red curry plate which was excellent !!! And a plate called earth, wind and fire special which was also amazing! (See picture)

This is my family's go-to spot for dinner during the week. We usually always order the same thing, only because we know to never be disappointed! Spring rolls, name that tune, and the whole fried fish. You mustn't leave without the donuts for dessert!

I almost cried of sadness when i walked by the restaurant and saw that after the renovations of the shopping center, where they are located, i believe for more than 15years...they where forced to cut the size of the restaurant to a small little square that takes only the entrance part and about 4 small tables, now with mirrors all over the walls to give the illusion of a bigger place, simply horrible. All the magic and coziness is gone, i loved going there and eating on the floor area with all the exotic decoration and candlelight that made me feel like i was on an actual restaurant in Bangkok. Its so sad what i think happened was that the owners of the shopping center raised the rent really high for the renovations and to keep on float the restaurant owners had to cut size...now a days people only care about money there is no loyalty, they should have giving them a break for all the years they kept their business there even when that center sucked.

Thai has got to be one of my favorite foods ever and I always come back to this place even after trying so many spots, this one is still my fav! The atmosphere is so cool when you walk in and very authentic, the staff is super sweet and actually talk and get to know you, unlike some restaurants where they just ask you what you want to eat and leave you be (which is nice sometimes lol). They have great portions and prices, I usually get the panang curry and every time I order, its always great. I also like VERY spicy food and its always made perfect for me.

  • Julia C.

This place was mediocre. We ordered the tom kha khai soup, chicken red curry, and the earth, wind, fire beef. The chicken had a bad taste and was fatty. The beef was good but I wasn't crazy about the really thick, sweet sauce it was in. This was my least favorite Thai restaurant, I've been to many.

I've been here a couple times. My perception: very average. It's not bad, but doesn't impress me. Prices are razonable, you get what you pay for.

TL;DR: If you haven't been, try it out. If you have, and didn't like it, come back and try a different dish! Between this and Rock a Bangkok, I always have difficulty choosing. I love going to both! :) The dishes here, I have found, are more often than not very tasty. I have had very few problems with the dishes here, and I have been coming here for the past 5+ years at least. (Was a regular dating spot for my fiance and me.) Dishes I'd recommend: + London Bridge (something or other): I LOVE this dish. It's ribs and fried rice. The ribs are amazing. They're always super juicy, the sauce it comes with is DEE-LIH-SHUS. lol! I always ask for extra sauce so I can top it off on my rice. (I probably have to run for another hour just to burn off 1/4th of what I eat here... lol!) Unfortunately, it is a little pricy at $16.95, I believe. But, being a total foodie, I am happy to pay a few extra bucks for lick-my-fingers tasty food. :) + Pad Thai: One of the staples we tend to get here, although we've been coming here more (recently) for the London Bridge dish. :'D + Appetizer: Chicken Drumsticks (something like that): These are so good! This is always super juicy, perfectly fried, deliciousness. Love dunking it in the sauce it comes with and gobbling it up. :) This is all I can think of off the top of my head. The customer service is always average, if not a bit better than average. Don't have anything negative or super positive to say.

One of the more expensive thai places I've been to. Got take out for dinner and food was ready in ten minutes. A bit fast, in my opinion but oh well.. We got earth wind and fire, chicken panang curry, and a pad thai appetizer. Everything was blah. The best out of the three dishes was the earth wind and fire.. but it was a bit too sweet. The pad thai noodles were cut into really tiny pieces and were kind of mushy-- I feel like we got someone's leftovers. Chicken panang curry is my go-to dish at thai restaurants but I was really disappointed.. it lacked flavor and had no heat. It almost tasted like we were just eating watery cream. A bit after the meal, we felt nauseous and sick. My mind immediately went back to how quickly our food was ready.. To recap: overpriced, underwhelming food and it made us sick. definitely not going back

  • Mercy G.

Restaurants in Miami come and go but this place has been here for YEARS and it's not going anywhere! They have true Thai food, not your typical "Thai restaurant" they have truly authentic stuff on the menu! Everything is full of flavor and although the staff is not always super chatty the food trumps that small negative... The restaurant has dim lighting and a nice relaxed atmosphere for both lunch and dinner. This is an unexpected gem in a shopping center but do NOT be fooled... the food is quality food! Whatever you do, save room for the fried donuts!

  • Stephanie B.

I've been here a few times and I've never been disappointed. Their Pad Thai, beef satay, and Little Big Man is always great. I was a little surprised though, they've lost half their space-I wonder why. I hope they stick around!

  • Hung D.

Love this place. It's another West Kendall institution. Been around longer than I can remember, and for good reason. The food has always been excellent and the prices are good for the amount of food you get. Lots of textures and flavors with Thai food. I really enjoy the crispy duck and seafood platters. Lunch specials really hit the spot and is a much healthier alternative to anything else except a salad.

Small space. Nicely decorated. Service was good we waited about 30 minutes because it was busy after that the service was prompt as you are served by more than one person . Fair menu but not as many choices as I have seen in other Thai places for example other than pad Thai no other noodle dishes . prices are very reasonable no t even the house specials were more than $20.Highlights of the night were the fire and ice 2 non spicy and the sauce was heavenly plus they serve it light up on fire literally! Also the fried rice was probably the best I have ever had.. Kind of crowded but it was a Saturday night.

Lived in Thailand for 5 years, and let me tell you, this is legit Thai! Singha beer, Tom Yum soup, cashew chicken, and phad Thai made it a great experience, I'm going back for sure! Earth Wind & Fire 2 was amazing, get them to add pineapple! I could've stayed and ordered another round of food it was so delicious, only I was stuffed, and still had to get a to-go box. Great stopoff if you're heading back North after a long day at the zoo.

The parking lot is under construction so you may end up at a dead end to find parking. The mall is also very old and run down. We were seated immediately and noticed not a wonderful Thai food aroma but the scent of ammonia or mildew. Not a very good first smell inside a restaurant. We ordered the spring rolls which were a typical Thai/Chinese egg roll. The beef satay was thin but very chewy with threads of fat throughout. The sauces were very weak-the peanut was heavy and thick without flavor as was the cucumber sauce because it was without the vinegar and pepper flakes. The Tom Khai Khai soup was watered down, it was not creamy and heavy with coconut milk. The chicken and mushrooms in the soup were cut into chunks that were too big to fit on the spoon. All of the dinner entrees were very small in portions and lacked ingredients. The Pad Thai had a few pieces of chicken, 5 small shrimp, bean sprouts and peanuts. The red pepper chicken curry did not have a red paste and had only had a few pieces of red pepper ribbons, not strips. The large prawn curry with broccoli had the same curry sauce as the red pepper chicken curry dish but it had a nice bed of steamed broccoli florets. So, the highlights were the large grilled prawns with broccoli curry dish and the pear saki. There are so many other quality Thai restaurants that this one just doesn't compare.

How does this restaurant get so many stars? I have been to almost every thai restaurant in Miami and this by far is te worst. The beed curry had no flavor plus the beef tasted like spoiledbeef. Disaapointed

Had never been to this Bangkok Bangkok but I was pleasantly surprised. My sister suggested it for a family dinner. The decor is traditional Thai, although I feel like it needs a little remodeling, it has its authenticity and charm. The food was nothing short of spectacular. We each tried a different curry dish, which the curry sauce was amazing, and the earth, wind, fire III dish. This dish had the best presentation, definitely got that wow effect. The sauce poured over was lit on fire! The food came out so fast and everything was perfect. Bangkok Bangkok made this family dinner great. I will not hesitate to return. Definitely a hidden gem in Kendall,

The hot and melty Pad Thai hit the spot.

  • Elizabeth M.

It's a relatively small restaurant, but the food was excellent. I had the pad Thai, and it was my first time eating Thai food but it was pretty good! I also had the Earth, Wind and Fire with chicken, two stars of heat, per other reviewers suggestions and it was delicious. Two stars of heat definitely gives it a kick, but the white rice balances it out nicely (there's a total option of six or seven stars of heat, I was told by my SO for the highest level of spicy you need to sign a waiver.... Not sure how true that is, but I imagine it's unbearably spicy if two stars have a definite kick to it). Service was definitely on point. This is a place I will definitely be visiting again.

Food is nice but the staff can be rude and mean with you. So just FYI that if you are in nice mood to eat out then may be not here try other places where you are treated well and worth your hard earned money.

Local Thai restaurant in Kendal. Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. Has a Thai decor inside with plenty of tables and chairs. Staff and service is ok. Started off with a Thai tea. Just like any other Thai tea. Then I had the Tom Kai soup. That's made with coconut milk, shrimp, citrus juice, and mushrooms. It was tasty but it had to many mushrooms and not enough shrimp. Then I had the Pad Thai with shrimp and chicken. It was ok but it had chicken that was chewy and some had veins running through it and not enough shrimp.

One of most favorite spots in Miami. When I lived in south Florida I frequented so often that when I moved back to Orlando I went through withdraws of pad thai. I went on a quest to find a pad thai that would cure my Bangkok craving and I found NONE that could even come close. Every other dish I have had here is equally as awesome, this place does not disappoint!

It has been years since I come here. I was at off the grill next door and it was way too packed for the wait. We stumbled in and were seated immediately and the service was really good. We placed or order and were served quite quickly so I'm not sure if some of their food is pre-made. Regardless the food was really good. They were very sweet to my little girl so that's always a bonus. It was a 30 minute outing. Not sure if we will be regulars but probably will go back if in the area.

If only the management of this restaurant have paid attention how the customer is treated right under the nose of a manager I am sure We would have never turned our backs to this restaurant. Good food but extremely unfriendly staff. The whole experience becomes scary that how they are going to treat you. Never going back.

Chicken Pad Thai Gods live here. Literally. This place is heaven, and HEY it's a REAL Thai place. Not mixed with japense or other oriental foods. This is straight up yo'! LoL. The servers wear the authenic thailand dresses. My mom suggested this place. This was my grandparents staple date spot for years ever since it opened up over 10 years ago. I dont know why I didnt come here earlier???! I was in Thai heaven and those flavors they mix the pad thai with( lime, peanut sauce and peanuts) is oh so incredible. They had a amazing special Mon-Thurs for two for only $25, an appetizer, two entrees and thai donuts. I went back last week and they said they are ending the bombdiggity heck of a special. Jan 2012 :(. It's okay prices are decent and when I want to hit that Thai craving this is my #1 spot!

Amazing! Had the pad Thai n Tom yung goong soup and both surprised me w their taste, but had me hooked w the first bite. The floor seating adds to a unique and fun dining experience as well. Will definitely be going again!

Lunch specials here are worthwhile...lunch portions here are very big for being 'lunch'. I loved the Pad Thai served here and my boyfriend loved his milk-based coconut soup. The service was excellent as it was quick and absolutely delicious! They were missing any really hot sauce but had some pepper flakes- but I love my Pad Thai HOT! :)

  • claudia l.

I didn't see Pad See Ew in the menu, and the server asked the cook, and she said she could make it. It was delicious. I also had their Tom Kha Gai, and it was delicious too, although perhaps I remember it being less salty and less limey. Love the ambiance, and there seems to be a good feeling of harmony among the staff (unusual comment, I know). I'll update more as I come back, since this is going to be a regular spot now.

Drove about 50 miles to try this place out and wasn't that impressed by it. We had an appetizer that consisted of sausage, squid and onions which tasted good. Our entrees: Our Fair Lady (fried whole snapper fish with minced pork, onions, peppers etc) and beef with bamboo shoots and peppers in red curry. The fish was huge, tasted good and is meant to be shared. The beef in red curry was OK. Nothing to rave about and not food that I'd crave. I'd go again if I happened to be in the vicinity and in the mood for Thai. I've had better Thai in Dade county. The place looks a bit outdated too.

I was in the mood for Thai one night so me and my partner decided to try to find one through Yelp. I ran across Bangkok Bangkok and decided to swing by. I am SO happy I decided to eat here. The service and the food was amazing! Such savory and delicious food and everyone was super nice. It's a great place to eat and it's a very casual and peaceful atmosphere. Not loud at all.

The worst Thai food I've had in Miami!!! The only reason this place gets two stars and not one is the super friendly staff. I was sooo excited for Tom Yum soup after sitting in a chilly movie theater, but was so disappointed when they brought me the bowl and I could smell the vinegar before it even touched the table. It was really, actually disgusting. No amount of fish sauce could make it better. I couldn't send it back after having argued with the waitress to get the five-star level of spiciness(I even had my SEA husband vouch for me). It took her awhile to agree, but before leaving the table to put the order in,she made sure to let me know there were "no returns."I figured if I sent the soup back, she would have just assumed I thought it was too spicy. My husband orderd a beef dish that apparently had the same sauce as the Chicken dish I ordered (I believe it was named "The King And I." The sauce was overly sweet and there was waaaay too much. The beef was cut poorly and was extremely chewy. The chicken was drowning in the sweet sauce and over cooked. I love Southeast Asian food. I eat out a lot and cook at home as well (I even took a cooking class in Bangkok)....If you are looking for authentic Thai food, or even good Americanized Thai food, do NOT eat here!! (A much better choice, and worth the drive, is Panya Thai in NMB).

I love this place! Super affordable lunch and just so yummy! I love the Earth, Wind & Fire, especially the dinner version. It comes out in flames and is just too good to explain. Their donuts are yummy and their fish is great too. One of my fave Thai places!

Been here several times but finally decided to write a review. The Spring Rolls are a bit cumbersome as I'd like them to be a little smaller, but they are good. The Krab Wontons are absolutely fantastic, however! They are perfectly crispy and crunchy and the sauce they serve with them is great as well. I also love getting their Thai Salad, even though it is a little disappointing. The reason it is disappointing is that it is really bland. It only comes with iceberg lettuce, a few tomatoes, and cucumbers. The Thai Peanut sauce is excellent, however and is the reason I order it in the first place. The other thing that I always have to order is the Tom Kha Khai soup, which is coconut milk, lemongrass, mushrooms, chicken, and cilantro. It is my favorite soup of all time and it is done to perfection here. The menu boasts that the Pad Thai is the best in town. I haven't found this to be true, unfortunately. It is definitely good, but I've had much better at several Thai establishments throughout Miami. I love their Pork Fried Rice, however. It is perfectly cooked and not too greasy and oily. I always have to order this when I go to Bangkok Bangkok. The restaurant is in a great area as far as restaurants as there is a little bit of everything for everyone so you can never go wrong going for a walk in the area and deciding on a place to eat.

I stumbled upon this place by accident because I bought a coupon for what I thought was the Bangkok Bangkok in Coral Gables. Glad I ended up here instead! Our food was amazing and fresh. I had one of the best (and cheapest) pad Thais ever that was full of shrimp and chicken. My mom loved the duck and the men really enjoyed the beef medley, which I think was called Name That Tune. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because our waitress knew my fiancé had a nut allergy (we mentioned it twice) but still sent him a dish with cashews that then had to be remade. Overall, this was a great find, great meal and great experience!

The food at Bangkok Bangkok is pretty average. I've had dinner here a couple of times with my family, which means I've sampled many of their dishes (I'll break the habit of trying other peoples food one day, I swear.) and I've never found one I didn't like. I've also never fallen in love with anything there. The atmosphere is very strip mall-ish, but cozy.

  • Evan Z.

For a while, when I was stuck in the depths of West Kendall (word to my Hammocks homies!), I became very familiar with the "eclectic" Bangkok Bangkok menu. The typical dinner with the fam (4-6 people): Beef Satay Mee Krob Pad Thai Name that Tune Earth, Wind and Fire II Now...I realize that this isn't "traditional" Thai food. I also realize that there are better Thai restaurants out there. But considering the excellent service and my weakness for nostalgia, it's my first choice when I go down to visit Grandma.

  • Daisy P.

This place was a bit tacky inside but the food was good (I had the chicken pad thai)... However, I had this ceiling light shining bright over me which acted like a heater.. Needless to say I kept asking for water... They also had a dusty fake plant in the back which made me sneeze. Idk maybe it just wasn't my day.

What to get: Pad Thai (best I've ever had; request the meal portion of this flat noodles with chicken, shrimp [ask that the tails be removed] and crushed peanuts appetizer; hold the green onions/scallions and bean sprouts), Beef Satay (meat skewers, separate peanut and cucmber dipping sauces and a cauldron of fire to cook your strips of steak over), Thai Doughnuts (think mini beignets that you dip in crushed peanut-sprinkled condensed milk) River of rice: To both thin out its sauce and increase the dish's volume, Pad Thai is often accompanied by rice. Servers with large, covered bowls of the fluffy grains will visit you frequently should you choose to enjoy the entree this way. Unassuming location: Great example of why you should never write-off strip mall eateries.

When I can't go to my favorite Thai restaurant down on US1 - Bangkok Bangkok satisfies my coconut curry craving. My favorite here is the Gang Kung Sapparot (w/ shrimp). I'm not a big fan of spicy food so it was a bummer to find out I couldn't ask what level of "hot" they serve my curry. While this curry was a little too spicy for my taste, it was gooood. It's also worthwhile to mention that they have perfected the art of making peanut sauce. I lather my Jasmine rice in it (I'm weird like that). Ambiance : a little dark (I guess to set the mood), definitely a family owned restaurant, and the decor looks like it may date back to the last decade? I would say the inside needs a little facelift. Otherwise, a nice little gem to have out here in West Kendall!

I totally love this place. The lunch specials are inexpensive, tasty, and the service is great. You can't ask for more than this! The only thing I wish they would do is let you skip the meat and use tofu instead.

I've been coming to this Bangkok Bangkok location for quite some time, almost always at lunch. During lunch, they have most of the same dishes they serve at dinner for a fraction of the price. The service is ridiculously quick- and your food is brought out promptly whether you're a party of 2 or 10. Each meal comes with fried rice and a spring roll. The fun part about coming here is that you can order your food at a specific level of spice, anywhere from 1 to 5 stars. I love to watch the guys I work with challenge each other's manhood and then cry when the food comes. Once I brought a coworker who lived in Asia for a while and constantly complains about not finding a place with spicy enough food. Needless to say, he was very satisfied with the spice level here. If you're in the area and want some delicious Thai, check out Bangkok Bangkok--your stomach will thank you.

My boyfriend and I usually go to the Bangkok on 40th which I think are two separate places (owned). However, my friend fellow yelper Grace R. kept telling me about this place and how much she liked the food here, so we decided to give it a try. We started off with the spring rolls as an appetizer. It was very good, the sauce they had was very Delish. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai because I can't go to a Thai restaurant with out trying their Chicken Pad Thai =) And my boyfriend got the Bangkok fried rice (this came with calamari, squid, shrimp, beef and tomato). The Chicken Pad Thai was good but I can't say it was better than the one I get on 40th. However, the Bangkok fried rice was so DELISH. One of the best one's I have ever had. It's almost worth the drive just for this dish. I gave it a 4 star because the Chicken Pad Thai wasn't the best I've had and the spring rolls were good but not great. I would definitely like to go back and try other stuff though because over all everything was good and the Bangkok fried rice was the best out of 3.

Food is great! I really like the decor and the prices. It gets one less star because the staff is not the friendliest.

I love their Pad Thai. After so many years, this is still one of my favorite Thai restaurants! My hubby likes their 3 Musketeers. They also have a very authentic decor. Did I mention they have GREAT lunch specials??

Even though is a little far from where i live i still take the time to drive to this restaurant for their delicious food. It is extremely affordable and cozy. I went for Valentine's Day with my boyfriend and we had a special they had for the day the cheapest i ever had on v-day but so worth it. My bf was in love. So i decided to celebrate my Birthday there and made reservations for 15 they sat my party in some pretty pillows on the floor and we had the time of our lives, the split the check in however ways you want it and the waiter were super nice and attentive. My fave meals would be the earth wind and fire or the red fish. Anyhow you can't do wrong at Bangkok. I Love Thai because of you Bangkok!! I salute you

I went here for lunch and was really disappointed. The appetizers were served barely warm. The pad thai noodles had a strong vinegar taste..really weird. My sister said her shrimp tasted funny. They only dish that was satisfying were the thai donuts, but you can't really screw up fried dough. I used to go to this place often a couple of years ago and it was always great. Maybe it was just an off day, because the food was just.....bad.

I am not entirely sure why my eating experience was not as good as everyone else. The chicken Pad Thai was lackluster. The noodles were bland, however, the chicken came out moist and tender. I had ordered a dish called the London Golde Bridge. The ribs were also bland. The fried rice that came with the dish was once again, lack luster. Every dish that I had eaten that day were good templates but needed that one ingredient that would bring out the food. The ambiance was not too bad. The restaurant has an authentic Thai feel. Almost like a movie set. The waitresses wore authentic looking thai outfits. It is a shame that the food couldn't match the looks of the restaurant. There are tons of better restaurants. IMHO.

Good Thai food and very friendly service...def the best Thai food in the West Kendall area. If you're in the area and want Thai food, this will be the restaurant to go to. There is bigger selection of Thai restaurants by The Falls and North Miami but in West Kendall stick to this place.

If you like Thai food Bangkok Bangkok is the place to be. This is a hidden gem of the Kendall area. I have only eaten dinner here once, but I am a regular come lunch time at Bangkok Bangkok. With lunch specials at around $7-$8 that comes with a protein, rice or noodle and a spring roll you cannot ask for more. The quality of the food is great and the service is wonderful. Your glass of water never stays empty for long and the servers there are very friendly and personable. I frequent the "Three Musketeers Beef" at a 3-star spice level. The Pad Thai and the Gang Garee (Curry) are very good as well. This is a must visit if you enjoy Thai food. I have become a regular and a frequent lunch attendee. I love this place and would recommend it to any of my friends or family.

I can't believe that I have been going to Bangkok Bangkok for over 20 years!(Maybe more). This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant in Miami. My two favorite meals here are the Pad Thai and the Gang Garee. Whenever I have Pad Thai anywhere it's always compared to the one I get at BangKok. Lunch is the best time to go here.

I've tried almost everything at this place. My bf loves it for the Name That Tune and the Earth, Wind, and Fire dishes. I'm not a huge fan, but the one thing that is amazing is the London Bridge, which is ribs with a delicious Thai sauce and it comes with fried rice. The fried rice is not very good without the Thai sauce in my opinion because I hated it when I first tried it when my bf ordered it, until I ordered the ribs which came with the rice. That sauce is the secret key! And the beef satay is amazing. It doesn't even need the sauces it comes with, though I like the cucumber one and my bf likes the peanut sauce. :) I also had a curry chicken meal that had pineapples in it and it was very good, but I wouldn't order it again because there's very little chicken in it. The pad thai and spring rolls are horrible, in my opinion! And that is speaking from myself and many of my friends.

I've always loved this place...its such a quaint little Thai place...feels like the kind of place you would actually find in Thailand. The food here is fantastic and I love the fact that they have a star system that rates how spicy you can get your food. I love testing myself to see how many stars I can handle. They have awesome prices on lunch specials and their dinner prices are very reasonable. One of my favorites is the Earth Wind and Fire...which is chicken and vegetables served in a foil goose and then lit on fire! And of course there are the heavenly little pieces of dough known as Thai doughnuts....there aren't even words to begin to describe how good they are.

I loved this place. The food is as authentic and delicious as Thai food can get. Thai food is an amazing cuisine when done right and this place does it probably the best I've ever had. The roasted duck is close to perfection and so is the coconut shrimp curry (wish I actually knew the name of the dishes). The prices are extremely reasonable and they even have a lunch menu. I love the fact that you can decide your spiciness level as well. They interior is not the most beautiful but you can't really forget that this is Kendall after all. Then why only 3 stars? I hated the service here. Well, not the service in itself because drinks were refilled constantly and food was brought fresh and at a timely manner. But what really got to me was that the waitress demanded a tip before my group was even leaving. I feel like tip should not even be demanded at all but if she was demanding it, at least wait until we stand up or something. I would have given this place 4 stars if it were not for this, but I felt like the lady was rude and I kind of felt like not even leaving a tip after she brought it up (I did anyway). Hopefully, I'll have a better experience next time I decide to come (not that this experience was not great).

I'm willing to drive from downtown Miami just to eat here, and I'm not one to drive for just any restaurant. I love coming here with friends and family because of the excellent food, atmosphere, prices and service. The earth wind and fire is my favorite but I've tried the ribs which are my mom's and my boyfriend's and they are equally amazing!

So I will try my hardest to be honest as a customer on this review. First off, I am Thai & love to critique Thai food from different locations. The food at Bangkok, Bangkok is one of the best! The family that owns this place is actually friends with my family in Thailand. I met the owner of this place about 10 yrs ago & was super delighted to find out that she travels to Thailand every 3 months to get the curries, spices, etc - directly from Thailand. It's not often you can find truly authentic food. The staff is helpful & willing to make your visit as pleasurable as possible. I highly suggested the Satay to start w/ spring rolls, the Pad Thai or coconut curry for entree & DONT leave without getting an order of Thai donuts for dessert!!

Great service, great value & central location. They offer a truly unique menu of delicious Thai cuisine, from the Satay to the Duck Curry, Bangkok-Bangkok will keep pulling you back. From a family night out to a romantic dinner for two, they offer a quaint setting for an enjoyable evening.

Craving Thai food? I definitely recommend Bangkok Bangkok. Thai iced tea, pad thai appetizer, either a beef dish named "Earth, Wind and Fire," another named "Name That Tune" or their duck entree followed by an order of Thai donuts is a guaranteed delicious meal! Lovely decor, great service, affordable prices.

I'm a huge fan of Thai food and I absolutely love their pad Thai, chicken curry, and my all time fav their Thai tea. They also have amazing lunch specials where you can get fried rice a spring roll and the entry you chose all for around 7 dollars.

I'll admit that the first and last time I went here was about 3 years ago. I came with my friend for lunch. I loved the fact that we could eat on the floor and it looked very authentic. Now I am incorporating my entire review on the one dish I had. I Can't even remember the name of it but I know it had some sort of peanut sauce w/ chicken. All I remember was the overwhelming taste of it. It was like getting a mouthful of cashews. I'm sure there are better menu alternatives to this restaurant that I haven't tried but I would urge people to stay away from anything nutty. I give it 3 stars because I would give it a second chance on a new dish.

I'm a big fan of this restaurant. It's been at the same location for years and their food is consistently excellent as is the service. I love their Little Big Man fried fish plate. Love the Tom Yum Goong soup also. Delicious.

I went to this place for lunch on a weekday. The service was very friendly, accommodating and fast. About 5 minutes after placing my order, my food arrived, yes 5 minutes!!!. I ordered the earth, wind and fire chicken, a deliciously marinated chicken pieces with an assortment of stir fried vegetables, some rice and an egg roll. My food tasted even better after I kicked it up a notch courtesy of a spice tray, featuring some Thai Chillies in fish sauce and some red pepper flakes. Price was friendly as well at only $6.99 for this dish. The place looked very clean. Enjoy Bangkok Bangkok.

I went here for my first time tonight and it was awful... As app we had satay beef and it was chewy/rubbery tasted like liver...I couldn't bite into it had to use knife when it should be eaten as a skewer (one try was enough for me) ./.I had Pad Thai and I gave it to my bf as he eats anything it was supper sweet and again the quality of the chicken was bad ... Both meats tastes of very poor quality and it was very gross... Also the ambience was depressing and staff looked uninterested to be there... I'm from LA with many terrific Asian cuisine so maybe I have higher standards I'm still hungry!!!

Been here a couple of times and the food is always up to par. Not a big restaurant, can get crowded on weekends can feel like you are a little too close to your neighbor depending on wher eyou sit. My favorite dish is Earth, wind and fire up to a level 3 heat. ( they have different levels of heat 1being mild ) Be WARNED !!!!! when they say Spicy they MEAN SPICY, I can and do eat very spicy foods. THis was borderline hot for me, I did think of going to a 5 whewwww thank goodness i didn't, the dish was flavorful even with the heat. and a nice portion. I've gone to other places like the Thai on US1, their 5 is a mild !!!! and the food was not as good as this place, ( the owner swears by it , he kept reminding us he was rated by the Miami times as one of the best. Really ??!!! This place is the one one I recommend when asked about a good Thai restaurant; so far everyone that I've recommended to go there has been pleased.

Bangkok Bangkok . Why can't I eat you every day? Other than the fact I would be 5,000 lbs and broke, I would!! Holy sh*t, this place rocks my socks! Here are some of my favs: -Coconut milk soup (O.M.G!!! mouthgasm!!) -The meat kabobs (they bring them out on this mini grill looking thing with some amazing sauces!) -Fried Rice (perfectly cooked and not greasy like Chinese) -Thai doughnuts (sooooooo good, with that dipping sauce!) MMM...Mr. Bangkok , I really love u!

I've got three words for you: EARTH, WIND FIRE! Food: A The most asked for plate at Bangkok Bangkok is in fact the Earth, Wind and Fire...Why? It is chicken, shrimp and steak with vegetables smothered in FIRE? Yes, the waitress brings you the plate and then tops off the trio with a seasoning which is lit on fire which makes the Earth, Wind and Fire succulent in every bite! Although I cannot speak for most of the appetizer menu, I can speak to the "deliciousness" of the steak sautay!! Nicely presented, the steak sautay is brought to you on a heated, fired grill where you can cook the meat to your taste...the steak is mouth watering juicy! My personal favorites are the Lovely Ginger Steak and the Thai donuts!! All of the other plates I have tried have also been very, very good! Ambiance: A I love it how you have the option to sit on the floor. Take off your shoes and feel right at home. The small, short tables and pillows really enhances the "Thai" experience. Although it isn't the most comfortable, it is always fun to sit on the floor. Don't worry, if you would like to eat at a "normal" table, they do have "normal" seating options. Service: B Service is okay and I have never been served by someone who has exceeded my expectations. Sometimes they are slow, sometimes it's fast... its a roller coaster guessing game... I wonder what my next trip will be like? hMmM Cons: No refills on sodas (Really?? Who doesn't give refills??) Not kid friendly- leave your kids at home... there are no childrens menus and because it is a quiet restaurant a rambunctious , loud child will be constantly stared at. Overall, TERRIFIC THAI CUISINE!!

Earth, Wind, Fire...is this an entree or the opening for a Captain Planet rerun? The menu at Bangkok Bangkok boasts some unique options, my favorite of which is the Earth, Wind and Fire III, which comes with chicken breast, shrimp and perfectly tender beef with mixed vegetables and cashew nuts, swimming in a light and flavorful Thai sauce. I've tried a few other entrees, but this is definitely my standout. Going back a course, the mee grob is good but I've had better. It comes with lots of stuff in it, but the flavor of the sauce is just not quite right to me, and the vermicelli noodles sometimes taste a bit soft (almost like they are stale). The satay though is definitely a winner, with a cute little flambee grill for you to heat your skewers, and peanut and cucumber dipping sauces of fantastic-ness. Full of charm, the atmosphere is dim and romantic. The best part is, they have a seating area in the back where you can get the experience of sitting on mats on the floor. Apart from the fact that it's always fun to show off your pedicure, it adds fun and authentic feeling to the meal. Gives off the vibe of being a nice, family-owned place, the service is always wonderful. Can't say everything is on the menu is worthwhile, but definitely the elemental named dishes are a hit!

Slow service & okay food. The only thing I liked was the duck. The pad thai was overly sweet & wet. The beef salad was chewy but the duck was good. It was however $25 for the duck. The meal came out to $70, which is a lot for 2 ppl eating Thai. I would not recommend this place nor would I ever return.

This place is hidden in the middle of a shopping plaza (located in the back next to the cleaners). But despite being hidden, this place gets packed! We came on a Friday night around 8 and had no idea how packed this place could get. It looks like a small little place from the outside. On the inside, it's this nice, cozy, intimate place to be. There was an hour wait, so we decided to get takeout. We both ordered the roasted duck darling (14.95). The price is pretty good for half a duck and the portion was decent enough. The vegetables portion was large and really covered up the duck, making the duck portion look kind of small. Will definitely have to try and get a seat next time at this place. I would definitely come for lunch next time, because prices are better for the duck.

Who knew?! Myself, the hubs, and our friends couldn't decide where to eat and didn't want to drive far either... load and behold this place is around the corner from my casa.. PERFECT! We get greeted right when we walk in, and seated asap. The service here is beyond wonderful! I was new to the menu but thanks to our wonderful waitress, and my Thai expert Tory sitting next to me we were all able to figure out exactly what we were craving... Side note: we all got a kick out of the name of this dish.. maybe it was because we were delirious from being hungry or maybe it is that we are all nerds but hey we got a kick out of it... Gang Phak. Food service super fast! Just the way I like it, and it shouldn't be any other way! ;) Any hulas, I ordered a curry dish with chicken shrimp and pineapple slices... I cannot remember the name of the dish just the number G2 haha... It is a spicy dish and boy do I love spicy dishes! It is rated from 1 to 5 stars 5 being the hottest... I ordered 3stars... both my Thai expert and the waitress suggested I do 2 stars because they thought I could not handle it... Uh hello! CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! Food came out quickly and as it came out quickly, it was gone quickly! So if you are wondering if my challenge was successful... I FINISHED it all, and without breaking a sweat unlike my dear friend... He had to wipe his forehead pfft and he calls himself a Thai expert who can eat anything, I LAUGH! HAHAHA Okay any ways back to the review... Dinner GREATNESS, FLAVORFUL, just packed with yumminess -- no such word to regular people but food reviewers such as myself (lol) you guys know what I mean! Dessert! I thought I couldn't handle any more but I made room for these "donuts" dipped in this heavy condensed coconut milk topped with nuts! What a way to finish the meal. The location is in a nice small shopping center, next to a CVS so if you guys go and end up having heartburn or any other stomach probs after having a spicy dish it is very convenient =] It is not brightly lit so it gives a cozy vibe, but decorating ehhh they can do better but hey the food is what counts, and again the staff is on top of you like white on rice!

I'm a huge fan of this place. I'm the type of person that always orders the same crap. I had some steak with (endless) rice, it was great. But this one time (I decided to be a risk taker), I ordered a whole fried snapper. It was AWESOME. It was made with some kind of sweet sauce? I don't know, but it was AWESOMEEEEEEEEE. And I say endless rice, because you can have as much rice as you want. Service is excellent, oh and the THAI DOUGHNUTS are FANTASTIC!!!!!!

I really wanted to give this place a 2.5 because the owner is so sweet...sadly, the other waitress was not. I went for the lunch special, which was an average portion. The Pad Thai is okay, nothing special. It could definitely use some lemongrass. The fried egg rice had a weird taste to it. The restaurant didn't impress me, but it wasn't bad.

Love this place! The staff is very friendly, the food is delicious and there's always seating available. My favorite menu item on the menu is the chicken and shrimp Pad-Thai! It's so yummy; Pair that with some hot sake and a salad with peanut dressing and that's why this place deserves 5 stars!

Food was great. Service was fantastic. The rice was silky smoooth. I ordered beef and chicken Pad Thai (3 star spiciness) it was just the right amount of heat and the beef and chicken was top quality. We have all had pad thai which felt like the meat used were of lesser quality My gf got the #207. it was a nice blend of tomato and sweet and the chicken was delicious we finished it off with some awesome Thai Donuts my only complaint was that the spring rolls we ordered as app lacked pork

I've been enjoying Bangkok Bangkok for years and can say one thing for sure, this family owned and operated establishment is consistent. You know what you're getting, it's fairly priced, makes a crowd happy and the food is pretty darn good. Hands down best Pad Thai in town along with the most delicious THAI DONUTS this side of the Pacific. I also really enjoy their Thai coffee. My favorite dish, aside from the Pad Thai, is the Earth Wind and Fire which you now have to request lit (it was standard procedure before but someone had to get themselves burned and mess it up for the rest of us). The beautiful thing about Bangkok Bangkok is that there is something for everyone including those pesky vegetarians in the group. If you like spice you can get it (and boy do they give it to you). The star system allows for everyone to choose their spice comfort level and if you are left wanting a bit more heat after your dish is served they are more than happy to bring out an array of beautiful little jars full of the magic stuff. The service is always friendly and attentive, even when you bring in 3 kids including one 2 year old and request to sit on the floor. They simply nod and smile even though you know on the inside they are praying that you are a good tipper because lord knows kids can make a huge mess when rice is involved. Don't forget to ask for chopsticks to complete the experience and perhaps add a few laughs.

I absolutely love Chinese food, Thai not so much. My friend decided to host her 25th birthday at Bangkok, Bangkok, a bit skeptic because I've never had Thai food I went with the idea of maybe having a few spring rolls and a glass of wine. The whole Thai experience was FANTASTIC! we all had dinner on the floor, to start off we ordered appetizers my friend and I shared an order of spring rolls and Bangkok drumsticks both paired with a slightly sweet dipping sauce, for the entree we had the dinner portion of the Pad Thai which is located in the appetizer section. The food was delicious and extremely affordable! Thai now joins the ranks of Italian and Cuban food in my book! P.s. we had a party of maybe 13 or so and gratuity was not included because we all split the bill in pairs. Huge plus when you eat in large groups!

Interesting decor it will make you feel like you are truly in Bangkok. Best item on their menu is the Pad Thai. We also tried the pigs in a blanket which were ok but not much pig included. For dessert we had the only option given which was the Thai doughnuts which were great.

We really like this place. It's hidden deep in a Kendall strip mall, but it turned out very good. Service is good & the food is always fresh. They use to have a great weekday dinner for two special that for $25 consisted of 2 vegetable spring rolls ( bet I've had), 2 entrees & Thai donuts for dessert. They didn't have it last week when we went, but the prices are still very reasonable. My favorite is the red curry chicken, but the cashew chicken is also very good, as is Earth, Wind & Fire ( no, not the band). My wife has also tried the fried fish & said it was delicious.

I like this place. I've been coming here for years. The prices are very reasonable and the food was delicious. I was a little disappointed when I realized they forgot to ask me how many stars I wanted for spicy. Other than that, everything was awesome and service was great!

I've gotten take out a few times from here, but tonight I took the time to dine in with a friend of mine. During the week, they offer a dinner for two special which we ordered. The dinner for two comes with two spring rolls, two entree dishes of your choice from a limited selection, and thai donuts. Rice is of course included. The good: crunchy and fresh spring rolls. They arrived almost immediately and were hot and yummy. Nothing outstanding, but quite good. Pad Thai with shrimp and chicken. Again, this was nothing to get excited about, but it totally works. The dish is flavorful, arrived hot to the table, and had plenty of shrimp and chicken in it. The service: completely accommodating and swift. But not overly intrusive. After we were done dessert, my friend and I had some work to do and I even pulled my computer out and the staff couldn't have been more gracious; they even refilled my cup of tea. The only ok: Red curry with beef: this dish seemed thin to me. It lacked any real pizazz or curry flavor. Green tea: Maybe it's me, but I think when I come to an Asian style restaurant, I expect when I order hot tea that it's not DIY. They served me hot tea and a green tea bag? Why aren't they brewing it for me in the kitchen? Next time I want to sit in the section on the floor. They have beautiful reclining cushions that I want to try out.

The food was fresh and I would come here again for lunch or for dinner!

This restaurant holds a special place in my heart. It is here that I discovered and nurtured my love for all things Thai during my childhood and adolescence. It is here where I first tasted the sweet, creamy elixir that is Thai Iced Tea. It is here where I learned about the peanuty goodness in Pad Thai. It is here where I discovered the wonderfully refreshing world of Papaya Salad. I owe my love and affection for Thai Cuisine to this place. And though I have been to at least one or two places around town that do things a little better than them, they still deserve the 4 star rating. Not just for being my first, but also for having quality food and quality service (run out of water? here? never! out of rice for your curry? they'll gladly scoop up some more for you). Another great thing about this place is the atmosphere. Even when it's crowded, it's still calm and cozy...Especially if you manage to make your way to the floor seating area. If you manage to have some room left in your belly for dessert, go with the Thai Donuts. They're delicious!

This was my first time having Thai food, that's why it is always good to have an Asian friend in the group that can help you change up your typical dining out options. Anyways my friend came here a lot and wanted me to tag along, first and foremost this restaurant is hidden inside a small plaza. It's not a big and flashy restaurant, it's just a small restaurant, so don't visualize a Macaroni Grill type of restaurant. Anyways the inside of the restaurant is of course decorated with their traditional cultures and etc, the ladies that were there working are old middle aged women, which they know english very well. They were very attentive and took us to our seats promptly, the inside of the restaurant is little bit dim lighted which is good, and it wasn't that packed which was a plus. They also have a lunch menu I believe from 11:00am till 3 or 4pm, don't take my word 100% on it .. I don't remember. Anyways we ordered our food and the food came out in a decent amount of time, we didn't wait that long. I ordered the I believe the Gang Garee which was a spicy chicken pineapple curry sauce with white rice and egg roll. The food was amazing, I do recommend that plate to anyone that likes spicy food. Also this restaurant is really flexible on the way you want your food, if you're a picky eater and love to give a set of instructions on how you want your food cooked and etc ... this is the place to come. The pricing in this restaurant is not bad at all, it is worth every dollar. I definitely RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! If you guys and gals wanna try something different from our traditional fast-food, and restaurant chains... come here. A+

Bangkok Bangkok serves awesome Thai food at a decent price! We've had dinner at this restaurant several times, and their food and service are quite consistent. When you first walk in, you can choose to sit at a regular table or on the floor (shoes off). The restaurant is pretty quiet, aside from the international music playing in the background and the low-volume table conversations. We usually order the same items every time we visit. I mean, I'm all for trying new things, but man, it's hard to deviate from what you know and love at this place. - Tom Yum Goong - lemony hot and sour soup with shrimp. Like all Tom Yum Goong soups, if it doesn't clear your nasal passages, it's not Tom Yum Goong! - Beef Satay - marinated beef on a stick, served with peanut sauce and cucumber sauce. This beef satay is my 2nd favorite satay ever (first being from Thai BBQ in Cali)! So tender and so flavorful - it's not a complete Thai dinner without the satay! - Pad Thai - this is definitely must-eat at any Thai establishment! This Pad Thai is definitely yummy! - Thai Donuts - fried pieces of dough with condensed milk! Of course it's gonna be good - it's fried goodness! They serve the entrees with a side of rice if you'd like - the waitress will come around and ask if you would like rice, and they're quick to refill your drinks. The service is great!

I must agree with the majority of the reviews, this place is AWESOME! From the Prawns to my ultimate favorite Earth, Wind and Fire. Where else can you get such tasty protein and veggies? No where. They service is great. Everyone is always so attentive and friendly and most importantly the place is clean. We tend to go about once or twice a month and it's always a pleasure dining @ this Bangkok. (The other Bangkok on Bird Road I do not recommend. Had a bad experience the first time I went there). All in all, this place is great for dates, quiet evening with hubby, little dinner with mother or father and even with kids. I wish I could take my dogs to eat here those are my kids! lol PS - Restaurant.com always has coupons for this location. ;-)

Delightful atmophere. Friendly and welcoming service. But most of all the food is great! Authentic Thai cuisine. There aren't enough great Thai places in Miami like this one. Will return.

This is my favorite Thai place by far. It's always worth the 20 minute drive to get to it, since we moved and I can't find a better place. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is nice. It's a bit dark but it's quiet and just what I like. They have a floor seating area in the back which I've never done but might be fun. On to the food, my favorite is of course the Pad Thai - which you can ask for in the dinner size. It comes with both shrimp and chicken, so you can choose both or one or the other, which I like. It's the best I've ever had anywhere. I also like their Satay Appetizer which I truly recommend, it comes out on a fire burning grill and you heat it yourself. It also has two great dipping sauces. I really haven't tried too much else since I love what I get there but the Curry is also great. The prices are definitely affordable and I love that its hidden in a shopping mall so it's not too overcrowded. I've also heard to check out restaurant.com for coupons!
