My husband and I were inviting friends to dinner and wanted to pick a fun new place. He had read numerous reviews on Tuscany Grill and he told me the food was overwhelmingly rated 5 stars but the service ratings were horrid. I said I didn't care if the food was that good, let's risk it. SOOO GLAD WE DID. We are kind of restaurant snobs since we go out to eat 3-4 times a week and came here from Charlotte, NC which has a plethora of fantastic restaurants. Our waitress, Teri, said she's been there for 16? years and it showed in her knowledge about the entrees. Their specials sounded so good, my husband ordered one. The salmon over butternut risotto. I hate salmon or fish that tastes even remotely like fish but he insisted I try at least a bite. While I'm not converting to a salmon lover, I enjoyed that bite. We started off with the Caprese tower. YUM! It was like a triple layered cake with a sweet balsamic drizzle for the "icing". The meals came with soup or salad. All of us wanted the salad but I asked my husband to order the soup: pork minestrone. He was thrilled that he did. Hearty with full flavor. The salads were nothing special and I would have enjoyed more garlic flavor in the creamy garlic dressing that Teri recommended. I noticed another reviewer LIKED that it wasn't overly garlic but it tasted mostly like ranch to me. I asked for hard boiled eggs on top but they weren't able to do so. However, they were extremely accommodating to our other requests for substitutions: no capers, no mushrooms, may we have butter with the bread in addition to the olive oil pesto, can we substitute mozzarella cheese instead of goat cheese, were some they granted, no problem. 2 of us ordered the Napoleon Chicken breast which was amazing. Teri explained that it would be better if we simply took off the mushrooms versus order the meal without them, as we had asked, as all the juices and flavor was in the mushrooms. We took her advice, and gave the mushrooms to our friend's husband who couldn't have been happier! We ordered a side of grilled asparagus and asked for some balsamic drizzle for it and they obliged. I would have liked more char on the asparagus but they were still tasty and fresh. We were too full for dessert. All of us drank only water and our meal with tax came to $61.48 for the two of us. My husband's salmon special was $24 but we all agreed the food was worth the price, we just can't go every week ;) Not sure why the service has received bad reviews in the past. Teri was fantastic, always available, replenished items without having to ask, etc. I'm so excited to return! The restaurant was full so things must have improved!

Looked for the best rated Italian restaurant in the area to take my mother-in-law. We went here based on Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. As everyone says, the bread served here is fantastic! Fried calamari was good, we like the marinara better than the aoli but still good. Salad with creamy garlic dressing was surprising tasty and not overly garlicky. I really enjoyed my shrimp and scallop pesto dish, real fresh seafood (order anything with scallops here), basil, and pine nuts. When we are in FL again, we will be back.

I'm not the biggest seafood fan, but the rare Tuna was fantastic. The peppercorn gave it a perfect zest and was a plentiful starter. I had the filet (on special tonight) that was nothing short of heaven and the mrs had the eggplant, by far the best I've tried. VERY reasonable prices for the quality of food and service you receive. Must try!

Visited for the first time to celebrate my husband's birthday. 2 for 1 on wine before 6pm great deal. Started with Italian egg roll - yummy, and ordered traditional meals of lasagna and eggplant rollatini. Dinners were delish and plentiful. Looking forward to our next visit. Only disappointment was in ourselves for not visiting this beautiful FAMILY OWNED restaurant sooner. We live on the beach and have difficulty going over the bridge :) Only islanders can understand this dilemma; but I can guarantee that my passport will be ready to visit this gem of a restaurant in the very near future. PS - nice presentation of bread with seasoned olive oil and parm cheese and get the creamy garlic dressing on salad!

Fantastic food. Had the filet mignon. 2in thick . size of your fist. Perfectly cooked. Melt in your mouth. Better than any of the local steak restaurants. My tabe mates had the veal dishes that were authentic Italian and the veal was melt in your mouth tender. The chef knows his Italian favor. Try the in house made wedding cake excellent. Best Italian in brevard.

Stopped by here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was inside. Really pretty restaurant with a nice ambiance. They have outdoor dining as well, so if your a dog lover like me, that would be a great dog friendly option Service was good. I came at an off time, but still had an attentive, friendly server that was happy to answer any questions I had about the menu. Decided on the pear, prosciutto flatbread and it was phenomenal! It was crispy and flavorful and finished with truffle oil! How can you go wrong with truffle oil?! Everything I saw come out looked very fresh and was plated beautifully. The osso-buco is calling me! I will definitely return to try their osso-buco

After reading all the great reviews, we decided to give it a try. The cesar salad and the minestrone soup were great, probably the best minestrone soup I've tried. Great bread and fresh tasting pesto! For our entrees I ordered a sampler with manicotti, eggplant ravioli and some other pastas, my boyfriend ordered the osso bucco. Very disappointing. Other reviews had mentioned the osso bucco being great but ours was dry. My pasta was ok. Basically a huge plate of pasta with no meat and little cheese. I gave it three stars because our soup & salad were great and the service was too. I'd go again but for something different.

This was a fantastic Italian restaurant - and was so fitting for our last night in the area of our vacation. We had calamari, salads, veal picatta, fettucini alfredo and deserts of tiramisu and creme brule cheesecake. All of it was simply amazing. Great restaurant, and as their tagline says, "Un"chain" Your Appetite". Much better than any Italian chain - such as the Carrabbas around the corner. Go a 100 yards and get a great experience. Oh, the server was fantastic. She was busy but attentive to our needs. Glasses were refilled and it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

Wow, our first time eating here and it was really a great experience. First, we ordered some drinks. My vodka martini, as well as my wife's glass of wine were very generous, What a nice start to our meal. We started with an appetizer of the "Lasagna bites', small squares of their tasty lasagna deep fried and served with a bit of their very yummy marinara sauce and some nicely chiffonade basil strips. The underlying lasagna was super beefy and nicely executed. I would have liked just a bit more of the marinara sauce personally, but what was there was excellent with a nice fresh tomato flavor and not too acidic. For our entrees I got the Grilled Mediterranean which had some very nice Italian sausage, grilled chicken, shrimp, onions, peppers and rigatoni pasta with some black pepper and herbs. It was a very tasty dish but a bit dry and the shrimp were huge but they were slightly overcooked and a little strong tasting. I take some of the blame for the problems with the shrimp since I violated my own rule of not ordering seafood on a Sunday night, plus I didn't say anything and just ate the dish anyway. Now, my wife's pork osso bucco was incredible, a total WOW. The juxtaposition of the rich pork against the savory tomato brodetto and the sweet butternut squash tortallacci with just a hint of fried sage was revelatory! On top of these great dishes they came with a choice of salad or soup. We got a caesar salad and the minestrone soup to try and the soup was incredible. Besides the questionable shrimp the other slight negative was the slow service. We got there pretty early, just before our five o'clock reservation, and without desert it took us almost two hours to get through dinner. I will give them huge kudos for trying to remediate this situation by comping us a glass of wine. Also, the owner (or manager, not sure which) bringing out our initial drinks and keeping an eye over the dining room was a nice touch. They have a separate room next door where some evenings they have music and an area for folks to dance, which is a nice touch too. We took a piece of their Italian wedding cake with us and had it later that evening and it was pretty amazing. NIce and moist with a great balance of walnuts, and coconut in the cream cheese frosting. I highly recommend this place, we will be back here to try more of their great food.

Always a great experience! Dinners are heavenly with excellent service. And the drinks? Well, I certainly wouldn't require a second one which is a nice surprise since many places seem to water them down. Ambiance is always great, a family like atmosphere which makes a night out with friends most enjoyable.

Excellent dinner! Homemade warm bread served with herb infused oil. Yum! Enjoyed Med Grill entree. Lots of protein with a little pasta, veggies and no sauce. Very good. Must get the wedding cake dessert! Fantastic! King's theatre is right down the road.

My first time here with my wife and her friend. Came here to eat before the space coast 1/2 marathon. Very nice atmosphere. We didn't want to eat at a chain restaurant and wanted the feel of a smaller friendlier setting. This place hit the mark. After reviewing the menu, I thought it would be hard to have a vegan option. I asked our server if there were some vegan options and he was confident that most of the dishes could be prepared to suite a vegan. I asked if the head chef had any suggestion and he did come up with something for me. That was very nice and generous of him. What he came up with was very good. Spaghetti squash pancake with portobello mushroom with spinach and carrots. Very good and nicely presented. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.

Been here a few times with the family. Always promptly seated. Staff is always accommodating and friendly. Drink order promptly taken. Today I ordered the lasagna with the house special soup offering of roast turkey, kale, and white bean. Both were fantastic. Dessert was Tiramisu which the do exceptionally here. This place has been so consistantly good that we had over 100 guests here for my mothers 60th birthday party. It was well organized by the staff and all went well. We will have a private party here again when the occassion calls for it.

The good food can't make up for the horrendous service! The lady was rude, abrasive, and condescending. I will never go back for that reason. Too bad, would've been a great location for my wedding rehearsal.

TAs soon as we walked through the door in a 3/4 full restaurant we were greeted and led to a table. The staff there was very attentive, and our waiter Stacey did an awesome job. She was knowledgeable about the menu and dishes and very attentive to our needs. I had the Chicken Picatta which was good. Perhaps the lemon cream sauce may have been too thin for my liking, and maybe that is how the dish is supposed to be. So I would definitely like to try something different. But the soup that was provided prior to your entrée was magnificent. It was hearty and very flavorful. Can't wait to go back and try something different. This visit was our first and it was a intimate environment.

This was our first time here and we had heard good things about the restaurant. We arrived on time for our reservation and had to wait 15 minutes for our table. Once seated the service was sub-par. Our waiter came to our table a total of 2 times for the entire meal. We waited over 60 minutes for our main course. The food was decent for the pricing structure, but the service was so lacking that it was hard to enjoy anything. Would not recommend on a weekend. The indifference of the staff to the long wait also added to the overall bad experience.

Outstanding food and service. We had the eggplant rollatini and the kids had the fettuccini Alfredo. Both were excellent, as was the Caesar salad and the minestrone soup that came with the meals. The bread was warm and fresh. Friendly and efficient service. This is a gem, located in a non-descript strip mall, but with great interior ambience and feel. Highly recommend.

So, went to Tuscany Grill with the wife and friends. Since it was one of our friend's birthday, and we planned to treat, we picked the spot...and I'm glad we picked this restaurant. As we approached the restaurant, it seems nondescript. it had an outdoor seating area, but we chose to sit inside. Once we entered, we noticed that the service and atmousphere is very warm and friendly. The staff were knowledgeable on the menu and prompt on their service. Our waitress also gave good recommendations on wine to order, and selections on the menu. First, have to mention that we visited on "wine-down" wednesday -- every Wednesday night the bottles of wine are half price. they have good selection of wines from california, italy and spain. We picked an exceptional cabernet savignon that was recommended by our waitress, and wound up having 3 bottles over the course of the meal. For appetizers, we started with the calamari, it came with either the aioli or more spicy fra diavolo marinara. We decided to order both. The calamari was very light and airy. good crunch to it with a panco like breading on the outside. We also had the pan-seared sea scallops, that were served in a citrus-chardonnay butter. The scallops were excellent, not rubbery like some places serve, They melted in your mouth, and even our friends (who don't usually eat scallops) liked them a lot. One of their specials for the night was a glazed 8 oz fillet mignon. it was served with pork meatballs which might have been overkill, but worked for the special. the filet was soft, juicy and in the words of my wife "divine," As a main entree, I opted for the Chicken Acropolis off of the menu. A meal sauteed with artichokes kalamata olives and sun-dried tomatoes in a lemon garlic butter sauce. It was served over angel hair pasta. A dish I would highly recommend. For dessert the wife ordered creme brulee, which was not brought in a small ramikin (as would normally be expected), but in a bowl that served a dessert that was big enough for two. I had the chocolate chip canoli, which is actually three mini canoles. Excellent. The shells were not too hard nor soggy, and the creme was excellent. Overall, the food, the service, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I would give this restaurant 6 or 7 stars, but I'm afraid you will only see the first 5.

The first time we went it was okay, so we never went back. We went back based on the reviews. The staff was courteous and prompt. We got our orders taken right away and the food arrival was well timed. My husband and I ordered pasta dishes and it was cooked perfectly. They were good but not amazing. It wasn't something I couldn't get anywhere else. We won't be going back there again.

Went here last week for a weekend dinner date! We hadn't been here in a while and weren't sure how it would be....it was amazing! The chef is very high end. I had their special. It was salmon on roasted beets and kale. My husband had a salad that was so big he could only eat half.

We showed up on Wednesday for an early dinner. We started off with the flash fried calamari spicy fra diablo which was very good. I had the pork osso bucco which was delicious. The pork fell off the bone. The butternut squash tortallacci was cooked perfectly and the sweetness of the squash worked well with the red pepper sauce. My boyfriend had the baked italiano. It is basically a little bit of everything with melted cheese over it (meatball, sausage, eggplant rollatini, ravioli, manicotti and rigatoni pasta all baked in our homemade ragout and topped with melted mozzarella). He loved everything but the ragout sauce. It was salty to taste even to me. The server was kind enough to bring out some marinara sauce to cut down on the salt which helped. She offered to exchange the dish but my boyfriend decided with the extra marina he liked it. We had the creme brûlée cheesecake for dessert which was very good as well. All meals come with delicious baked bread and a very boring salad. The restaurant was really pretty and by the end of our dinner it was very busy. I would highly recommend reservations if you have a large party. Wednesday is also wine down Wednesday which means all bottles are half price. I did find it odd that the manager(owner?) who was very nice and friendly has a table in the dining room close to the kitchen which is basically a mini office. Laptop, papers, etc. It basically looked like my dining room table at home when I have to work from home. I am sure it helps her keep her eyes on everything and when it was busy she wasn't spending much time there but I think it takes away from the ambiance. But that's just me. Everything I had was really good, except for the boring salad, and my boyfriend was happy with a minor correction. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Italian food. Go on Wednesdays! You can't beat half price bottles of wine!

I want to start off with what was good about Tuscany Grill, the food! My meal was very good, but...... We arrived for our reservation and had to wait a bit, but that was ok as it was raining out and we were told the patrons were slow to leave. Once seated it took 10 minutes to place our drink orders, 1 glass of wine and 1 iced tea. Those arrived and we ordered our appetizer. It went downhill from there. Along with a busy Saturday night crowd there were 2 private parties with quite a few people. It seems as though our waiter was assigned one of the groups and our booth around the corner in the main dining room. Our service was so slow that 3 groups seated after us got their food and paid their bills while we were just beginning our main course. We ordered nothing special or complicated. Our food was delivered by the hostess/manager who made no apologies for the slow service. In fact our waiter never showed up again until the very last second to see if we wanted anything else. He never checked on our progress during our main course. So, the food good! The service tonight, poor. Would I go back? Probably not. I just couldn't enjoy my meal that took 1 hour and 45 minutes start to finish. Good thing we had no after dinner plans. **Update** After eating at several other Italian places I'm giving them an extra "star". Service was lousy but food wasn't.

I travel a fair bit for business and pleasure and I rely on Yelp to find a good place to eat in towns I am not familiar with its food scenes. This trip was for visiting my wife's grandmother. Though I often wonder about reviewers because some of the chain restaurants (even fast food) gets very high scores in some places. I like trying local establishments but I have traveled with some people for business who always pick a chain restaurant that they can eat same food at home, and say, "Oh, look, this (Garden of Olives with bottomless cheap food) gets 4.5 stars on Yelp!"... Anyway, I rarely give 5 star rating because I think it should be reserved for an establishment that is truly amazing and exceptional all the way around (and I have yet to try a chain restaurant that scores more than 3 stars at best). My rating is also relative to the category of the restaurant. A five star rating in a mid-range $15-25 price point restaurant food is not necessarily better tasting than a three star rated formal dinning restaurant serving $60+ courses. Having said all that, Tuscany Grill definitely deserves a five star rating in the mid-range category. The restaurant is in the same parking lot as one of the chain Italian restaurant, which I have tried before at home (not the Olive place but the other one that is a notch above) and they are ok. But, if Tuscany Grill is only few steps away, I don't understand why would anybody pick the chain restaurant over this place. Food was amazingly tasty from app to dessert. Home made meatballs in home made gravy (not very heavy when things are home made rather than coming out pre made out of a container) was a great app. Pasta dish had a perfectly branched spinach that was still fresh crunchy not something you find in most places which is "sauté" AKA spinach that drawn to death drenched in hot oil for way too long. We defied suggestion by our good waitress for the desert and ordered tiramisu, which was good but she also brought a sample of cannoli, which she suggested. We have tried enough cannoli in the past and always disappointed so we stopped ordering but this was the best cannoli we have ever had. We talked a bit with the owner as we were so impressed and she told us that they own another breakfast/lunch establishment 50ft away, D.I.G, so we tried it also, see my review of it also but another excellent restaurant.

I'm surprised how we had overlooked this place. We were looking for a new place to try and saw the great reviews posted - so thought we'd check it out. Arrived exactly at opening time on Saturday evening so we were immediately seated (would suggest reservations - it got busy really quick). We were attended by a "high energy" pleasant waiter named Patrick. He was "Patrick On The Spot" for refills, answering menu questions, and recommendations - a definite 5 star waiter! The meal was superb in the "nth" degree! For appetizers, If you go, you must try their bruschetta - if not the best I've ever had, it certainly ranks in the top 2!!! For our meal, my wife enjoyed her chicken marsala and I can't rave more about the Baked Italiano - which consisted of (memory help me) meatball, Italian sausage, manicotti, spaghetti - all covered in baked cheese. It was GREAT!!! We've found a great new place, and I strongly recommend this for your List of "New Resturants To Try"! Happy Yelping!

This place is AWESOME! Came here Saturday night for a family dinner! UNBELIEVABLE entrees and desserts! I had the scallops with the asparagus and was THOROUGHLY satisfied! The salad and bread were awesome as well; however, after stealing a spoonful of my dad's pasta fagiole soup, I was sorry I hadn't ordered in place of the salad. The mussels were great, as well as the lasagna! Try it! You will NOT be sorry! I promise!

Went to Tuscany Grill last weekend. Haven't been there in over a year. Prices went up and the flavor went down. Both my wife's and my meal had little flavor. Don't know if I'll go back with several other italian restaurants so close by. Perhaps the owners too busy with her new restaurant .

This Italian restaurant is located in a strip center, like so many restaurants in this area. However, the inside is more upscale than you would expect from the outside. I ate with my wife and three kids (youngest 9) and we each ordered a different pasta/meat entree which came with a salad or soup. Each dish was different and very good. We had fried calamari as an appetizer which was delish. I drank the house penoit grigio and my wife a Chardonnay which often times is not so good and seemingly watered down. I figured i'd try a glass of the house and then try something else, but i stuck with the house. it was really good! Our waitress was pleasant and attentive and there was a woman working who was helping run food and checking up on tables that i got the feeling was the owner. All could not have been nicer and i definitely plan to return next time we are in town.

Great place off I-95. Grilled Mediterranean is my recommendation . Sunday 6pm-9pm has a dance music and discount appetizers and drinks in an adjacent room . so you should ask to sit there if you're present during those hours. Service was great too.

Last night my wife and I had dinner at Tuscany Grill. The food and service were outstanding. My wife said the salad was the best she ever had. My Tuna was fresh and cooked perfect Everything from the bread to the entree was excellent and the servers were friendly and helpful. A perfect evening.

One of our favorite restaurants! Food and service are always excellent, head and shoulders above the Carrabba's next door and at a similar price point. Everything I've ever had here was delicious, although the Chicken ala Vincent is my favorite. So glad we discovered this place!

My wife and I had taken a trip from Orlando to the Kennedy Space Center, and then down through Cocoa Beach only to discover just how hungry we were. Upon stopping at a beach to kick around in the sand, I whipped out my phone and pulled up my Yelp app to see what was good around town. Tuscany Grill seemed to be the fan favorite of the area, so we headed for Melbourne. As soon as we entered this quaint little restaurant I knew we had made the right decision. The building is rather small (less than 20 tables) but was only at about half capacity; and the smell coming from the kitchen was only fueling my appetite. We were greeted at the door with a smile and that typical "southern hospitality" and seated right away. The hostess showed us the specials menu for the day that included roughly 8 meals that were currently 'buy one, get one free!' We each chose an item from this list, although I can't remember for the life of me what either were called. My dish was a grilled chicken and sausage dish with rigatoni pasta in a mildly spicy garlic cream sauce. My wife's dish was a penne pasta with a spicy marinara sauce. We each ordered a house salad, mine with their vinaigrette dressing, and my wife's with a homemade creamy garlic. Although the vinaigrette was very good, the creamy garlic was delectable, and I asked the waiter before we left if it was homemade, b/c I just had to have more. He informed me that almost everything they serve is homemade. We also received some fresh bread and herbs w/ olive oil for dipping. It was delicious. Just as we were finishing our salads our food arrived. My pasta was cooked perfectly al-dente, and the sauce was a perfect blend of cream and spice. My wife's dish was equally as good, although it was too spicy for her; but she pushed through it like a champ. I can't wait to eat the leftovers for her! With her dinner, she also had a cappuccino, which was served with a nice frothy top and a sugar swizzle stick on top. Of the small drop that I got before she downed it, I thought it was very good. In summary, the Tuscany Grill was a perfect cap to a wonderful day. Out the door with a very generous tip, my bill was only $33 and we both left with a small take-out box. The service was top-notch and everybody that helped us was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food. I would highly recommend this to anybody passing through or near the Melbourne area. I'm glad Yelp recommended it for us!!

We are from New Jersey and totally spoiled when it comes to gourmet Italian. Tuscany is "To die for;" whether northern or southern style Italian dishes. My favorite are their HUGE seared sea scallops; my husband lauds their Veal Marsalla and meat sauce. If you go Wednesday, go early or make a reservation as they frequently get slammed due to half price wine bottles. It is our favorite restaurant in Florida; everything about it is top notch Dale Caldwell

Good location, and a good selection of authentic Italian dishes. I like my restaurant pasta to be al dente, and Tuscany Grill does good pasta. Their sauces are home-made in taste and texture.

The food was great, the service was terrible. The waitress seated and took orders for regulars, left our unfamiliar group to sit on the terrace ignored for 20+ minutes. She followed after another couple that got up to leave, seated them, and ignored them again until they left. Seems like the staff needs some more oversight.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
