I'm mostly an order online and pick up customer, but on occasion I take my daughter in to get some wings and dessert. Food is great, wings were amazing the first visit and dry the 2nd. Might I say they have the best chocolate cake I have yet to experience in 9 states?!! Instantaneous addiction and my newest complaint is how close I live to Smokey Bones. They can really do no wrong due to the cake commitment I have, however...the evening crew might pay a little more attention to greeting customers as they come in. On more than one occasion I received no acknowledgement after standing at the podium for near 5 minutes. I'm a decent tipper even for takeout but I do expect to be greeted and not looked at and assumed that another person will take care of it. Especially, when it's slow (which it usually is when I arrive). There was one guy today, with a beard, who was very polite and took extra care of me on a pick up order. Really appreciated that. Keep that guy around! All said and done this is one of my staple restaurants in Melbourne. And not just because I live close by. Okay a big reason, but seriously try that cake.

Holy S#%^ this place is awesome ! I got the combo ribs and brisket with the Mac n Cheese and it's the best bbq I think I've ever had! The sauces are good ( I recommend the green top it's sweet ) the ribs are so tender and juicy and by far the best I've had. Even the brisket was awesome as well and I'm a brisket fan. So if your on new haven in Melbourne and can't decide what to eat , skip all the usual places and eat at smoky bones FYI if you are a mac n Cheese fan get the premium Mac n cheese with your meal. It's 1.99$ extra but so worth it. Treat yourself folks

This is one of my favorite places to go in the area, and it's gotten a lot better over the past couple of years. The menu has a bit of variety, there have specials some nights which are amazing, whenever we've ever had a problem it's been taken care of and they have some options here you really can't get other places. (sugar covered wings!) It isn't loud which is surprising for the type of place it is, waiters are nice and understand their menu (they've always been able to give recommendations), good rewards options, just an overall good restaurant that cares about its customers and its menu. Great kids menu and bar section as well, they cover all their bases well enough to try out.

Would have given a 2 star rating if it wasn't for the portable trivia machine ($1.99) to play while we waited for our dinner and the Pinot Noir. I've heard about how good the chain is but hadn't visited until now. Disappointed with the portion of food which was so small and little flavor. We both ordered from the Pick Your Combo menu under the impression of receiving decent sized offering. The baked potato was undercooked on my plate and the mashed potatoes didn't have gravy as stated on the menu. BBQ chicken breast was small and dry. The brisket and sliced turkey were dry also.

I came here in search for a decent burger. Sat at the bar, ordered the smokehouse burger and got the bacon substituted with avocado. The burger was good. Better than a couple I've had in the area, but I am still exploring! The toppings were scarce compared to the size of the party. There was barely a teaspoon of avocado on the bun, and 5/6 small pieces of crispy onion tanglers. I would suggest being more generous with the toppings on the burgers.

We came for lunch and were cheerfully greeted. Overall the experience was fine, but the one thing that overshadowed the experience was our waitress. She was very nice to us but she constantly accused the other waitresses of doing things wrong. Very unprofessional. She also wore pants that were two sizes too small and kept leaning over the table next to us exposing things that didn't need to be exposed during our dinner. Very unprofessional. I have to say that we observed the other waitresses and all seemed to be very nice, efficient, and professional. We happened to get the wrong one. The food was very good. Several of us had the ribs, which were tender and cooked very nicely. The selection of sauces allowed everyone to try their favorites. The barbecue baked beans were absolutely wonderful, as were the baked potatoes. For dessert we chose two options to split among our four diners. You absolutely have to try the "bag of doughnuts". They cook them fresh then shake them in a bag of sugary coating, and serve them with small dishes of chocolate and fruit sauces for dipping. Hot and awesome! We also shared the chocolate cake with ice cream, which is great for chocolate lovers! Smokey Bones is definitely worth a visit for the food and very good desserts. Most of the staff seems very professional and I'm sure that good management will quickly address the issues that we observed.

We ate here for lunch over the weekend. We got the fried pickles for appetizer VERY good, my husband and I both built our own sandwiches he got a turkey burger and I get a grilled chicken sandwich everything was yummy, also like that you could get on ciabatta bread at no extra cost. Everything was yummy, service was great, food came out quick! And very reasonably priced!

Started out with some Buffalo Wings, not very spicy, but they still had good flavor. They came out with Ranch and Blue Cheese. We ordered the 16 piece between the four of us. We also ordered the Fried pickles. I wasn't real impressed with their pickles, I don't know if it is the pickle or the breading, but I have had better pickles elsewhere. I had the smokehouse burger...no not the Smoke Stack...just the small one. It was very good, and it is a super huge burger, I was not able to finish my burger, and that doesn't happen very often. I keep thinking one day I will try the Smoke Stack, it is a giant triple burger (1.5lbs) with pulled pork and all sorts of stuff on it! Our host was very nice, she cracked jokes and made it pleasurable. We were lucky and got to sit towards the back of the restaurant, and there wasn't as much overhead noise. We were able to have a conversation without yelling. Don't forget to try their doughnuts! They are best to have while you are at the restaurant and they are still hot!

Every time I come back into town this place changes and not for the better. :-( They no longer have sound boxes to watch football games and their food is always changing. We loved the bbq chicken nachos - gone. The only improvement I see is that they got bigger TVs.

I like the food here but will never come again because I hate how stingy they are. NO free birthday dessert for my nine-year-old's birthday--unless we are in their "Club." WHAAAT?! Asked for a loaded baked potato, and was told that cheese, chives, and bacon were an additional charge, even though they have it pictured as such on the menu. I hate that kind of deceptive marketing. They have three "levels" if side dishes- you only get the basics with your meal, but if you want other sides that aren't on the basic list, you need to pay more-- and it's not exactly cheap to eat here to begin with. Outback provides more value for your dollar!

This place has really gone downhill in the last year. This used to always be one of my favorite places to go when we were in the Melbourne area. This past year, the food has changed and is not nearly as good as it used to be and the service was dreadful. The turkey which used to be delicious was nothing but hunks of fat on my plate... It looked like they gave me the chewed up remnants from somebody else's plate... The pretzel bones used to come with a variety of dipping options and now come just with the cheese sauce.... Another disappointment. The service is another issue entirely. The four times we've been there so far this summer, the service has been awful. The servers all act like they want to go home and are rude and impatient the entire time. Sad change... It used to be a good place

Very attentive service, friendly atmosphere, and good food. It's definitely not the absolute best BBQ but it's definitely not the worst either. It's predictably good food and it's doubtful anyone with reasonable expectations will not find a menu item that will satisfy their tastes. The portions are generous. The sides can be a bit pricy if you order anything other than their standard side dishes. But, you're there presumably to enjoy a nice meal so no sense nitpicking. I've eaten here several times in the past but I always seem to forget this place exists. Like I said, it's not the best but it's far from the worst. I guess that's way it's not very memorable. Give this establishment a try.

If I could give less than one star I would. This was literally the worst dining experience in my life! We had a party of six. We ordered our meals with half of us ordering the brisket. After 30 minutes when our meal should have been delivered our server came back and said they were out of brisket. We had to reorder and wait another 30 minutes for our food. The manager gave us an order of complimentary wings. They took 15 minutes and we're burned and dry. Just as we were getting up to leave our meals finally came. Out of six people all six of us hated or meals. Salad sucked, ribs were dry, turkey was cold and petrified. Pulled pork was sawdust. Chicken was greasy, mac n cheese was cold. We left the restaurant hungry because nobody finished their meals. The baked beans were good though. Even though the manager apologized and comped the entire meal it still wasn't worth it. It was so bad that it was free and I still feel that I got ripped off!

We had a horrible first time here. Left a bad review and store manager and regional manager both called us. They apologized over and over and asked us to return. The manager stated that she had recently taken over and was working very hard to correct the problems. We tried it again for lunch and it was a very different experience. I did stay away from fish this time, but hey it is a BBQ place. Food was good and service was great.

Interesting appetizers and nice drink specials if you keep your eyes and ears open. This place is a staight up ribs place that has a choce of burgers too. Better than the new place that opened up down the street (which will remain nameless since i dont want to be accused of being a shill). Wait staff knows its menu, the wait to seat is more reasonable than the new place, and the eibs are just better. Perhaps its because i like the sports bar idea, bit the televisions placed throughout the main two dining areas add to the friendly, down home feeling. In short, will return when i'm in the mood for ribs, however, i must admit that those times are becoming fewer and fewer.

I got a Chicken Parm sandwich after discovering that fries are a dollar more with all burgers. Call me crazy but a ten dollar burger should come with fries in my opinion. The sandwich was good and I enjoyed it. Nothing special but pretty good. The nachos were also quite good, though again it is extra if you want any meat to go with them. The prices are not low so the constant nickel and diming gets old fast. The service was good and I liked the atmosphere. Casual but nice. I probably go here about twice a year or so and have never had a dish I didn't enjoy.

I just love coming here when I come down from Virginia to visit my mother. The food is always great and the service is very homey feeling. I love the layout of this restaurant and feel so welcomed when I walk through the doors. The manager goes above and beyond. She has a way of making you feel like home. Even if I only make a few trips a year smokey bones is my first choice of dining.

We passed Smokey Bones on the way to an italian restaurant but there was some busy street fair going on so we turned around and decided to give this place a try. This was seriously some of the best food I've ever eaten in my life. I was skeptical because its clearly a chain, but the food was exceptional. We had the loaded cheese fries to start and they were amazing. Then I ordered a burger topped with bbq pulled pork and bacon. It was absolutely perfect. I chose mac and cheese as my side and it too was delish. I NEVER rant and rave about any establishment but I'm a huge fan of this place.

As far as BBQ goes I am pretty selective. There are a ton of good to great BBQ joints scattered throughout Florida and the US so to this one was completely off my radar for years as I have my favorites, however I dropped by for a quick bite today and they had some pretty original sandwiches and some great garlic Mac and Cheese. From what I heard from the friendly bartender, Carrie, customers either love it or hate it as it is very full of garlic. I am definitely leaning toward the former. I also got a pulled pork Cuban which was somewhat interesting. One thing about BBQ Joints is the quality of their BBQ sauce and the sandwich really did not have enough on it, but that was all good as they had a ton of choices on the table. I went for the hot mixed with the Carolina and oh yea, it was some good stuff. Thanks for reading and enjoy.

I don't go out of my way for barbeque, but that's the thing about this restaurant, you don't have to. They're in a really good location, right out side of the Melbourne Square Mall and easily visible from 192. I'm go through the pluses first. The portions are pretty big. I usually come here for lunch, so for those days I'll eat a light breakfast. I love the build a burger checklist they have at the table. You choose every part of your burger, from the type of meat, the type of bun, all the way down to what sides you want. Each part has it's own individual price. Now for the minuses. Overall I think the food here is pretty bland. On the table you are given about four different sauces with degrees varying from sweet to hot. Personally I think food should be cooked with flavor and not have to rely "post cook treatment" to give it flavor. If there is room in your stomach after the meal, I would recommend their donuts for dessert.

Good stuff. The ribs and pulled pork are great and do try the corn bread. Portions are large so don't expect to finish it all. They also have a bar and a lot of tv's.

I really like Smokey Bones. The bbq is fantastic. The service is fast and efficient. The servers seem really interested in making our dinner a nice one. I've never had to wait long here and never had bad service. I also have a Bones card where you get points each dollar you spend. I already have a free $20 and I've only gone there a few times. It's agreat incentive to go back.

Our waitress, Kyley, was very friendly and accommodating! She knew her stuff and let us know when there was an extra charge for a refill on the chocolate milk. Nice because I hate when wait staff offer things and then you are surprised by the up-charge on the bill. I had the salmon with the mac and cheese and roasted corn, all very yummy. A good sized piece of salmon for the price. My husband had the sirloin and baked potato and it was delicious. The kids had noodles and my youngest raved about the broccoli. We were STUFFED and didn't have room for dessert, but the donuts looked yummy! The bar area looked very friendly and if we didn't have the kids it would be a fun place to sit, have a drink watch the game, etc.

Usually not a big fan of chain restaurants, but since they have gotten out from underneath Darden, they have some great food. I've eaten almost everything on the menu at this point and if you're a wing person than the smoked wings are a must. I love the burgers here and you have a ton of options with the build-a-burger. The BBQ chicken is good if your in a chicken mood, or so is the chicken breast. If you're wanting a sandwich but not a burger then I highly suggest the pulled pork Cuban. If your in a steak mood then go with the garlic glazed sirloin. I know you may be thinking the NY Strip but I never got a good one. If you're by yourself or just with a friend, then I suggest sitting at the bar. All the staff are great though, both servers and especially the bartenders. Awesome drink specials too. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

We arrived right around 7pm on a Saturday night expecting a wait to be seated, but were pleasantly suprised it only took 15 minutes. I had the pulled pork, mac n cheese, and beans and all were average portions. Our dinners were good and our server was friendly & attentive. My only complaint would be the chocolate cake bites I had for dessert. They were very greasy & unappealing. Overall, I'd go back, but I'll skip dessert.

I can safely say that I'm a fan of good BBQ. I took my lady there for dinner a couple of weeks ago, she is not a fan of BBQ so I felt lucky that she agreed to go there that evening. BTW it says on this web site that the restaurant is closed, true that a bunch of Smokey Bones restaurants closed a couple of years ago, but there are a few left and appear to be doing very well. The one I visited is in front of the Melbourne Square Mall on HW192 in Melbourne Florida. The parking was tight, there were very few spots available, for it being a Wednesday evening the restaurant was quite full. We were seated quickly in a booth, mortar from the bar. The interior gave me the appearance that they were going for a polished lodge/sports bar with a multiple amounts of television screens. The restaurant was clean and the lighting was just right. Our server was knowledgeable of the menu, and was patient with me and my guest as our choices were grand. My date was surprised that there were many choices on the menu for non BBQ people, and I surprisingly chose chicken wings and some loaded fries (I know, two side dishes). My date picked the chicken Caesar salad and requested that they made her chicken blackened with the Cajun seasoning and they graciously granted her request. It seemed to take longer than usual for our food to come out but when it did it was really delicious, full of flavor. The fire stix which are fries seasoned and smothered in melted cheeses, chipotle mayo, BBQ sauce glaze, bacon and diced green onions and tomatoes, is amazing when served hot. When I got mine, they were barely warm, but the server replaced it for me. The drinks were good, and the atmosphere continued to be light and kind of happy. I will return when I get in the mood for a good variety again. The price of the food seemed to be similar along the lines of other popular chains such as Outback and Bono's BBQ, (but I'll never return to Outback ~but that's another review). I would place my stamp of approval, and thinking back to the many times I've eaten there, I've never had a bad meal there. Would definitely recommend, there's something for everyone.

We went kind of late (9:30pm) the food was horrible. The ribs were dried out and the fries were greasy & room temerature. We also ordered a bag of their famous donuts for dessert and returned them. They were super greasy & they taste like old fryer grease! Yuck! Our service was not great either. The server was NOT attentive to our needs! We asked for things and never received them. Will not go back! Maybe we should have had a liquid dinner at the bar, it lookedgreat!

Smokey Bones ribs, pulled pork and brisket are outstanding. Some of the sides are too..namely the roasted corn, baked beans and the corn bread. Other than that, it's good, perhaps above average and very reliable. Always enjoy it and I have never had anything crummy that had to be sent back. Surprisingly good for a national chain place.

I went here once, and that was enough for me. I ordered a barbeque sampler type dinner which consisted of brisket, pulled pork, and something else that I forget, and a few sides. The brisket was spongy and looked very unappetizing...the pulled pork is what put me over the edge to never go back...It was in a puddle, and I mean a PUDDLE of grease. Now I know good barbeque is going to be greasy, but it needs to be that "greasy delicious" if you know what i mean. This was sitting in a pool of orange grease. I immediately got the waiter and showed him and he was appalled. He apologized and comped me for it..but the manager was very rude when he came to the table asking if I had eaten barbeque before and other insulting questions. Never again!

I loved their St. Louis style ribs... very hefty tasty portion. Squirt bottles of four types of their bbq sauce on the table made it a learning experience as to which one I preferred. The sweet potato stix were delicious but I just am in love with sweet potato anything nowadays. Oh! And I love their special on Sailor Jerry rum and coke for $2.95 or a double for $5... all day, every day!

Middle of the road chain. Plenty of choice on the menu. The food is decent but if you want a nice quiet meal go elsewhere. The background music is way too loud and you can hardly hear a conversation.

This is one of my go to places when I'm in Melbourne because I know that the food will be good and the people I go with will enjoy the ambiance. I became a vegetarian many years ago and now eat the sides, but the ribs are excellent.

Ribeye was very poor. Thin and overcooked for $20...waste of money. Usually have good experience here.

Soccer haters. Don't expect to change the channel to watch the real football. Only American football allowed here!!

Standard bar food - burgers and fries, fish and chips...etc... nothing too special really. Lunch specials are pretty cheap and there is usually no wait.

The pork is good but the sweet sauce could be sweeter. What really makes the place awesome is the email club sends you a bunch of coupons that come in handy!

Every time I come back into town this place changes and not for the better. :-( They no longer have sound boxes to watch football games and their food is always changing. We loved the bbq chicken nachos - gone. The only improvement I see is that they got bigger TVs.

This is one of my go to places when I'm in Melbourne because I know that the food will be good and the people I go with will enjoy the ambiance. I became a vegetarian many years ago and now eat the sides, but the ribs are excellent.
